Michael packed some snow into a bag and sealed the bag before walking back in. He gently lifted her injured leg and slid the frozen bag under. "There. Feel better?"

Anastasia flinched at the coldness and soon relaxed. She shrugged a bit, unsure of if she really did feel better or not. "I guess," she said as she looked up at him, laying back on the couch.

"Is there anything else you want?" he asked her, crouching so he was a little more level with her.

"To not be alone...but if you mean logically then no," Anastasia said softly as she looked away from his gaze.

He sighed, weighing the options. "Well... I've got nothing better to do..." he said, then sat in the nearby chair. "There you go, you're not alone."

Anastasia was a bit taken back by his actions, but decided it was best not to question them. She smiled and put her arms behind her head as she closed her eyes.

He didn't really know what to say or do; so he just sat in silence near her.

Anastasia strangely felt secure and safe with Michael near her. Sure it was an awkward silence, but she was fine with just having him near, though she wasn't sure why. Then again, she didn't know what was going on with her.

He flicked out his pocketknife and cleaned some of the dirt and grime from underneath his fingernails. Every so often, he'd look up at her, just to make sure she was still there.

Anastasia glanced at him every now and then just to watch him before starting to hum softly. She smiled at the song and her humming slowly started to turn into soft singing.

He looked up at her more often when she started humming. Just listening along to her sweet voice.

She found herself blushing lightly as she saw him looking at her. She quickly looked down as she continued singing.

He smiled slightly too, waiting until she was done to say anything.

Anastasia slowly finished the song and remained silent afterwards as she kept her eyes cast down.

"That was beautiful," he whispered after she finished with a soft smile.

Anastasia blushed bright red as she looked up at him. "Umm thank you," she said softly as she looked back down, her shyness suddenly making an appearance.

He smiled at her, looking away as well. "Want a new cold bag?" he asked.

"If you don't mind," Anastasia said softly as she looked over at him. She gave him a smile as her blue eyes scanned over him.

He got up and carefully removed the melted one, dumping it outside while he replaced it with a new bag of snow. "Want anything to eat or drink?" he asked.

"Steak sounds good...that is if you can cook," Ana said with a laugh. It was a failed attempt to lighten the mood, but it was an attempt. She smiled slightly and laid her head down.
