Michael skidded to a halt when she cut him off, he gave her a glare, then closed his eyes when she flung snow in his face. He was half tempted to do the same, but refrained. The second time she did it, he flung some back, but missed. Michael watched her go, and saw movement just behind her, in her blind spot. A mountain lion. Knowing he couldn't hit the lion in time, he instead shot after the other wolf, and tackled it as the mountain lion pounced. His move caused the lion to miss her, but cut him slightly.

Ana felt something hit her before hearing a pop in her arm as she shifted back. She held her left arm tightly, refusing to make a noise as she struggled to get up. She looked at the mountain lion that was still running then at the wolf. Brushing the snow off of her, she let out a deep breath noticing his cut. "I can fix that," she said softly to him. It was the least she could do since he just saved her life.

He shook his head, meaning not now as he faced the lion. He waited for it to attack him, then ducked under and bit it's throat hard. He thrashed for thirty seconds, until the mountain lion fell dead. For his effort, he was awarded a few more scratches and cuts on his torso.

Ana watched nervously, keeping hold of her arm. Normally, she would take the kill for herself and her pack, but he couldn't do that this time. Not after what he did. "It's yours," she said quietly before turning and looking down as she started to walk, continuing her path to her cabin.

Michael shifted and looked at her, "you're hurt, let me look at it," he said quietly. Then he looked at the dead mountain lion. "Take it, I can't stand the taste of cat."

"Better learn to like it during the winter because it's the best meal you're gonna get up here," Ana said as she turned her head a bit to look at him. "I'll be fine. It's just a simple shoulder dislocation," she said, knowing that's exactly what it was. It's happened too many time before but didn't hurt any less each time.

"I want to help you," he said finally. His voice was quiet, not wanting to make too much noise in case other predators were around.

Ana finally turned completely around and looked at him. She looked down at her arm, knowing she still had at least a half a mile to go which would be good for any predator to attack her again. She nodded slightly and said, "Okay fine."

He stepped over to her and gingerly touched her shoulder, "this is gonna-" he began, then moved it back into place quickly, "-hurt. Feel better?" he asked, knowing her natural healing would kick in now, as it already had with his wounds.

Anastasia let out a small scream as she felt her shoulder popped back into place. Even though it happened frequently, it didn't hurt any less. She quickly covered her mouth before nodding silently and slowly letting her hands fall. "Much," she said softly.

"Sorry about that," he said quickly. Michael backed off a step, "do you want me to walk you home? Just in case?"

Ana glanced around without a word and nodded a bit nervously. "That is if you don't mind," she said softly and held her arm. She turned and started walking in the direction of her home.

Michael followed after her quietly, always looking around for threats.

Ana soon arrived sat her home and went inside without a word. She glanced around before sitting on the couch. "Thank you," she said softly to him.

"Don't worry about it," he said quietly. "Good night..." he began, wanting to finish with her name, but not knowing it.

"Anastasia," Ana said quietly as she glanced over at him. Giving a small smile, she looked down and stood back up. Going into her kitchen, she grabbed a few storage bags and walked just outside the front door. After scooping some snow up in them, she placed one against her shoulder, sighing in relief.

"Anastasia." he finished with a slight smile, before he turned and left. He shifted and ran hope, dragging the mountain lion's body inside, and then shifting back to cut it up and freeze it.

Ana frowned when she didn't get a name in return but shrugged it off. It was late and she needed to rest. Going to her room, she changed into a pair of shorts and a long sleeve shirt before laying down in her bed and soon drifting off into a deep sleep.

Michael returned to his living room and lay down, drifting to sleep quickly. When morning came, he woke and stretched, before going out for a morning run.

Anastasia slowly woke up and gripped her shoulder tightly as she tried to move it. Sighing softly, she got up and took a quick shower before looking at the calendar. There was a meeting today as there was every Saturday. She slid on a black and red gothic style dress and put on her boots before adding her collar. She did her makeup and ran a brush through her hair, adding a few black streaks to it. Once she finished, she sighed softly and rewrapped her shoulder, being sure it was stable before walking out.
