Have you ever fallen in love and had your heart toyed with, your lover played with you because they knew you would stay. Although in this world you can't be played with..for if they play with you they are played with right back. When you are born there is a marking on your right arm just below the shoulder, your soulmate has a matching marking. Although there is a twist it's not that easy to find your soulmate, if your soulmate is far away your marking will be ice cold and so will theirs. As they get closer to you, the marking will warm up into a comforting temperature. So what happens when someone is born without a marking, is it bad or were these markings never really meant for the human body was it all just a rouse? All we know now is if someone doesn't have a marking you're called Lesser, 20 years later there are only a few lesser's known of they have to hide it as they are seen as freaks..but Lesser's are still being born it's a 1 in a million chance but it does happen..how do you live your life as a lesser or as a marked..

Bio| Born with no marking he was put up for adoption he was not taken by anyone due to the fact he was a lesser..he was sent to an orphanage where he was constantly bullied due to the fact he was a lesser as it was frowned upon. Ben built up a group of friends at the orphanage until he was adopted by Lindsey Green, another lesser who couldn't stand the fact others were bullied due to the fact they had something they couldn't help. Ben had two older sisters, Amanda and Ashley. They both had markings and found their soulmate at the age of 18 and 20..Ben loved his home in Pennsylvania, at school no one knew he was a lesser so he wasn't bullied although he left school due to someone finding out and threatening to tell everyone..He ran away from Lindsey writing a note saying
"Thank you Mom for everything you have done for me, I just I think it's time I find my soulmate even without a mark I think I can find him. I don't know if you believe in me but I believe they're out there somewhere if you needed me call me at 7589 / 54134 / 514 I love you Mom. I'll be back with my soulmate soon enough"
Now he is currently in Los Angeles, California looking for his love.

Adaline, knowing first hand what prejudice is like, tries to stand up for any injustice that she can, but is often not taken seriously due to her status as a Lesser. This has made her determined and sort of cynical of the world around her. Adaline isn't so much impulsive as she is shy to act, but logical when she does so- too many times growing up had she been caught in a situation where the only answer to "Why did you do that?" was "I don't know", and she's since learned to stop that.

A small depression has come over her and it is hard for her to open up again. Her brother is trying so hard, this just isn't the life she wanted.
