The roles had been doled out. Sephtis, Serenity, and Kayden were on base duty, and Mackenzie was in charge of one of the other teams. Leaving the other teams to their own machinations, Sephtis called over the three other operatives on base-finding duty. "I want the three of you to search for potential hideouts in the city. Give priority to locations that would be easy to escape from or that would be easy to install bolt-holes into. Serenity, you're the only one in the squad with any knowledge of medical procedure, so it'll have to fall to you to locate a good candidate for a lab to work from in the city. I'll secure us some in-city operational funds. When you've found a good spot, mark it on the communicator. Once the base has been selected, I'll message the entire squad over the communicator to assemble at it."
Sephtis took a quick look at the three operatives before continuing. "If you have any questions, use the communicator. Everyone is to split up and act as autonomously as possible for now."
Taking a step back from the smaller base-search squad, Sephtis rose his voice so everyone in the room could hear him over the sound of their own conversations. "For anyone who didn't hear that just now, everyone is to finish their current meetings and then scatter to the far reaches of the city to complete their objectives until the assembly order is given. I wish all of you luck."
Sephtis began towards the door, tuning his implant to pick up the team's communications. Walking out the door of the building, he quickly made his way into the city, losing himself in the crowd. Mere minutes later, however, he received a message from a completely unexpected source. "How in the... That sneaky little mutt! He opened the accompanying video file, scanning through the contents. As always, Moon Moon had a tendency to hyperfocus on food, but Sephtis was able to get some information from the report.
The college seemed like a particularly juicy target for a later stage if he could figure out how to get someone in. It seemed to be frequented by the highest circles of the city, given that several of the highest demons in the city from different clans were on a first-name basis with the old man. And the old man himself seemed to be an incredibly powerful mage in his own right. He'd be a potent asset to whichever side he found himself in.
Sephtis opened a communication channel to Moon Moon. "Well done. Continue monitoring the city and search out targets of high priority. I'll prepare a reward for when we re-assemble.
Moon Moon's message dealt with, Sephtis took a seat at a nearby bench and closed his eyes, pretending to have fallen asleep while resting on he bench. Unbeknownst to passerby, however, his implant was hard at work, revealing an interconnected web of networks around the city. Most of them had laughable security, but one or two were well-guarded. His first priority was to break into the government registry. He then used the stored images he'd prepared of the agents beforehand to fabricate fake ID documentation for them, backdating it to the proper time period for each. After a moment of hesitation, he also forged a pet registration for Moon Moon in the system. That'd let him bail the wolf out if something went wrong. And then he made a few fake IDs in the system, following the same process as he had used for the other IDs, using pictures of random people off the street for the identification pictures. He'd never be accessing anything from those IDs in person, so it should be fine.
With his ID forgery done, Sephtis pretended to wake up, rubbing his eyes blearily as he moved on. Around 20 minutes later, he sat down on another bench, this time searching for banking networks. It took a few minutes, but he found one eventually, protected by relatively good security. Unfortunately, it was still primitive compared to the outside world, and he was in within minutes. A quick database write had him several accounts dated back years, with a program piggybacked into them to accumulate parts of a cent from other accounts and funnel them into his account. That should keep them in business for quite a while. He repeated the process at a few other banks, making sure that the funds would be relatively spread out. Best to keep the accounts isolated from each other for now. That way any compromised accounts wouldn't reveal the others.

Ravi's search had come to a quick end. He'd arrived to find that Lantry had something for him to deliver to Azrael. He took the data chip, plugging it in and scanning through it. It seemed to be some sort of technobabble, and he couldn't really tell what it was about. He quickly forgot that, as he realized that Ahmya was staring at him. "What? You got a problem?" He'd only just realized she had taken the mask off as well. She was damned pretty without the mask. If only she wasn't a scheming bitch. She started to reply to him, but trailed off, staring over at the entrance. Ravi turned to take a look, spotting Shadow as she approached Ahmya.
At least he'd achieved one of his objectives for now. Shadow approached Ahmya, and the latter seemed almost intimidated by Shadow. If that was true, it was more than enough reason to see if he could drag Shadow around with him whenever he had to go to the Bloody Moon quarter...
As Ravi was considering the merits of dragging Shadow around, she finished with Ahmya, rushing towards him with outstretched arms. He got a bad feeling and tried to catch her with one of his lower arms... only to remember that he didn't currently have them as she glomped onto him. To be honest, though, the current situation wasn't half bad, either. He chuckled a little and patted her head. She seemed to have caught on to the fact that he was looking for her. Would've been easier if she hadn't been avoiding him ever since the shower incident. "Yeah. You busy? I need to borrow your nose."
Shadow seemed to have lost interest as he was speaking, going over to investigate the nearby wolf. Lantry invited them to tea, but the idea of spending more time around Ahmya really didn't appeal to Ravi. "Thanks for the invitation, but I'm afraid I'd get caught up in one of Ahmya's schemes again. Pretty busy even without that. Maybe another time?"
