The roles had been doled out. Sephtis, Serenity, and Kayden were on base duty, and Mackenzie was in charge of one of the other teams. Leaving the other teams to their own machinations, Sephtis called over the three other operatives on base-finding duty. "I want the three of you to search for potential hideouts in the city. Give priority to locations that would be easy to escape from or that would be easy to install bolt-holes into. Serenity, you're the only one in the squad with any knowledge of medical procedure, so it'll have to fall to you to locate a good candidate for a lab to work from in the city. I'll secure us some in-city operational funds. When you've found a good spot, mark it on the communicator. Once the base has been selected, I'll message the entire squad over the communicator to assemble at it."

Sephtis took a quick look at the three operatives before continuing. "If you have any questions, use the communicator. Everyone is to split up and act as autonomously as possible for now."

Taking a step back from the smaller base-search squad, Sephtis rose his voice so everyone in the room could hear him over the sound of their own conversations. "For anyone who didn't hear that just now, everyone is to finish their current meetings and then scatter to the far reaches of the city to complete their objectives until the assembly order is given. I wish all of you luck."

Sephtis began towards the door, tuning his implant to pick up the team's communications. Walking out the door of the building, he quickly made his way into the city, losing himself in the crowd. Mere minutes later, however, he received a message from a completely unexpected source. "How in the... That sneaky little mutt! He opened the accompanying video file, scanning through the contents. As always, Moon Moon had a tendency to hyperfocus on food, but Sephtis was able to get some information from the report.

The college seemed like a particularly juicy target for a later stage if he could figure out how to get someone in. It seemed to be frequented by the highest circles of the city, given that several of the highest demons in the city from different clans were on a first-name basis with the old man. And the old man himself seemed to be an incredibly powerful mage in his own right. He'd be a potent asset to whichever side he found himself in.

Sephtis opened a communication channel to Moon Moon. "Well done. Continue monitoring the city and search out targets of high priority. I'll prepare a reward for when we re-assemble.

Moon Moon's message dealt with, Sephtis took a seat at a nearby bench and closed his eyes, pretending to have fallen asleep while resting on he bench. Unbeknownst to passerby, however, his implant was hard at work, revealing an interconnected web of networks around the city. Most of them had laughable security, but one or two were well-guarded. His first priority was to break into the government registry. He then used the stored images he'd prepared of the agents beforehand to fabricate fake ID documentation for them, backdating it to the proper time period for each. After a moment of hesitation, he also forged a pet registration for Moon Moon in the system. That'd let him bail the wolf out if something went wrong. And then he made a few fake IDs in the system, following the same process as he had used for the other IDs, using pictures of random people off the street for the identification pictures. He'd never be accessing anything from those IDs in person, so it should be fine.

With his ID forgery done, Sephtis pretended to wake up, rubbing his eyes blearily as he moved on. Around 20 minutes later, he sat down on another bench, this time searching for banking networks. It took a few minutes, but he found one eventually, protected by relatively good security. Unfortunately, it was still primitive compared to the outside world, and he was in within minutes. A quick database write had him several accounts dated back years, with a program piggybacked into them to accumulate parts of a cent from other accounts and funnel them into his account. That should keep them in business for quite a while. He repeated the process at a few other banks, making sure that the funds would be relatively spread out. Best to keep the accounts isolated from each other for now. That way any compromised accounts wouldn't reveal the others.

Ravi's search had come to a quick end. He'd arrived to find that Lantry had something for him to deliver to Azrael. He took the data chip, plugging it in and scanning through it. It seemed to be some sort of technobabble, and he couldn't really tell what it was about. He quickly forgot that, as he realized that Ahmya was staring at him. "What? You got a problem?" He'd only just realized she had taken the mask off as well. She was damned pretty without the mask. If only she wasn't a scheming bitch. She started to reply to him, but trailed off, staring over at the entrance. Ravi turned to take a look, spotting Shadow as she approached Ahmya.

At least he'd achieved one of his objectives for now. Shadow approached Ahmya, and the latter seemed almost intimidated by Shadow. If that was true, it was more than enough reason to see if he could drag Shadow around with him whenever he had to go to the Bloody Moon quarter...

As Ravi was considering the merits of dragging Shadow around, she finished with Ahmya, rushing towards him with outstretched arms. He got a bad feeling and tried to catch her with one of his lower arms... only to remember that he didn't currently have them as she glomped onto him. To be honest, though, the current situation wasn't half bad, either. He chuckled a little and patted her head. She seemed to have caught on to the fact that he was looking for her. Would've been easier if she hadn't been avoiding him ever since the shower incident. "Yeah. You busy? I need to borrow your nose."

Shadow seemed to have lost interest as he was speaking, going over to investigate the nearby wolf. Lantry invited them to tea, but the idea of spending more time around Ahmya really didn't appeal to Ravi. "Thanks for the invitation, but I'm afraid I'd get caught up in one of Ahmya's schemes again. Pretty busy even without that. Maybe another time?"

After regaining movement, Chilek was out of where he was hiding./ He was out to bring pain, a certain girl's blood he was looking.
Finding another male with the target, he gritted his teeth./ Bow already on his instrument, he was going to make that bitch a wraith.
He was actually surprised when his current master stopped him./ "Master, why stop? I am going to tear them limb from limb."
The older demon did not speak but merely stood and let the three be. They could have killed them and be done with it, honestly.

Watching as the one with wings stumble about,/ Chilek could not help but frown. "What a lout."
Relaxing his stance and sitting on the ground,/ he merely watched as the problem to the girl started to mound.
Two idiots infected, one already attacking./ The other one so quiet and have the virus engulfing.

"Oh, red-haired lady, what would you do?/ With two infected and ferals coming after you."

"Chilek, scout out the city and tell me recent events,"/ his master commanded and Chilek resents.
"Off course, sir," he stated, grumbling and getting up./ Looking back and watching two demons being corrupt.
With that said, he moved to the shadows./ "And look for the entrance or the prison." Shit only knows.

Letting the some carry the specimen and having the others run for cover and prepare for examination, he turned to the only person who does not give a shit about anything else except to be a loyal puppy. Again on his phone, he smiled mischievously as he actually ordered the body pillows and be sent to Ravinca Mansion and to the Serpent's Kiss' home.

"Wait, aren't you going to kill it Sir Asphodel?"

Once that was set, the older demon once again turned to Nue. Listening to his woes, he again patted the male before motioning for him to follow. 'It was a request from our adorably naïve leader for it,' he typed on his phone and let the loyal guard dog read. Asphodel was too lazy to explain and summarizing it with Glumi's name would at least make this man satisfied.

"Glumi also sent me to find you Asphodel. Told me to gather what information I can from you also about the recent murders since you're head of the special forces of Haven."

He should have been ecstatic of listening to Nue-tella use the leader's preferred name but his curiosity had gripped his heart more. Grabbing the scanner from the bloody table to check for feral infection, Asphodel scanned the taller male from head to toe. He should have known that those incidents were going to be discussed. Asphodel want nothing more than to make make Avaddon's life harder than it was for that little slip up. The undertaker did not want their leader stressing over that. Both males in the room tried to get some of the problems off her shoulder.

Nue was clean of any deadly virus but Asphodel got a piece of paper and wrote a 'receipt' for him. 'Those reports would be sent to her directly after our objective here as well as the specimen. There is another set of murder in the walls protecting the city and from the looks of it, the city is breeched. Someone or something from the outside killed some members of the unit guarding the walls. If you notice a suspicious being, contain them and report.' Giving the paper, he started pushing the male out of the morgue. "And being such a good boy, there is a gift waiting for you back home," he sing-sang before shoving him out of the door.

Time she thinks Avii has left before full infection - 29:30

The little distraction she did was enough to get the three near the exit. Her eyes narrowed when the barrier masters started undoing the seal. "Who in the seven seals did~!" Stumbling on her own feet, she was lucky as the person she and Sir Az was dragging almost swiped her head off. Turning to the growling form of Sir Avii, she almost cursed the heavens for their predicament. Her state of panic showed as the mask she was wearing was turning red.

"Why did you not tell us about this earlier?" she yelled out in anger, the area around her getting hot before freezing again. Three notes from her violin as she rolled a distance from Avii and an Ice wall was created so as not to be disturbed by the ferals. Her eyes widened at the blob on the male's shoulder. Spirits, she is going to kill this man once she saves him from that thing.

Looking at the panicked state of the black-brown haired demon, she gritted her teeth. "Sir," she called out. "I need your help. We need to remove the blob and perform a basic operation." Dodging and quickly getting a scalpel from her bag, Glumi gave a cry to get the infected leader's attention. "We don't want to hurt you, Sir Avii," she tried to tell the man. Thinking it was only less than 30 minutes before they lost him, she was already thinking of way to try and pin him down and was counting down before full infection starts.

Noticing that one of the officers of the clan was there, she moved closer to the barrier. "Sir Dame, Containment barrier, B-1TCH." Heavens, she needed to change the names of the spells they were doing. Jumping back to also start the barrier on her side, she had to make sure to dodge and parry Sir Avii's blunt attacks. "Sir Az, please tell me if you are scratched or bitten by Sir Avii." Her expression turned to desperation then. "I do not want to lose you."

Dame, an officer under the Hell Raisers, after hearing the instruction from his superior, nodded. Creating the first symbol on where he stood, he continued making the others in a clockwise direction.

This was the advantage of barriers, they could overlap with others and yet are not affected. "Ready for transfer, Sir!" he called out to the leader as he watched in awe as Glumi tried to finish up the other half all the while keeping the infected leader inside and dodging the attacks. With her being accident prone, it was not fun watching her miss her step and get punched.

"Transfer!" Glumi yelled out. Dame hesitated as the female got knocked towards her own ice wall with Sir Avaddon come rushing towards her. With the barrier completed and impossible to be broken, Dame gave his leader full control.

Rowena
Black Rose
Location: Sanctum -> Neutral Zone Command Center
Interactions: N/A
Mentions: The other Leaders, NPC's

The meeting went as expected. The other Leaders were quite upset. Glumi was the first to speak. From her tone and movements it was obvious she wasn't happy. Rowena felt slightly bad for Nue as the target of the anger seemed to be him. Letting her eyes travel the room Rowena observed the reactions of the other Leaders. Ravi was whispering something to Azrael who seemed to have slight confusion in his eyes. Then came the silky voice of someone who both creeped and fascinated Rowena, the leader of Bloody Moon; Velrosa.

The news she brought had Rowena's eyes widening slightly but she kept quiet. It wasn't a second's place to speak out unless spoken to. Or at least that was her view on things. Still the meeting would continue on as her leader displayed the images. Rowena never really looked at the pictures too long, the images bringing back hurtful memories. Of course she's seen them closely but one time is enough for her.

The next person to speak was surprising as Azreal was usually quiet, keeping to himself and speaking only when spoken to. As the man shared his intel Rowena was surprised by the amount of information he had. Of course the surprise was short lived as Velrosa spoke up. Her voice carried through the room, a smooth silky and sickening tone. Then came the hysterics that had Rowena questioning the leader of Bloody Moon's sanity.

However, shortly after everyone made their leave giving small notes on the matter as they exited the room. Rowena stood silent, even as her leader jumped out the window Rowena made no move to leave as her mind processed the meeting. Velrosa and Azraels words stuck in her mind, echoing even. But the room was empty now, most people long gone to attend to their tasks.

Rowena finally breaking from her thoughts made her leave, walking out of the tower rather than jumping like some leaders had done. Her walk was slow as her mind whirled. It would make sense that someone was helping the ferals get out but the question remained as to who or whom was behind this. A few of the crime scenes she was asked to search but from her memory it was ferals that had done the killing. There was no doubt about that.

Then why the feeling of dread, almost like something bad was happening or going to happen. Her feet carried her through the city to the neutral zone wall and once there a wave of shock washed over her. The zone was on lock down. Eyes widening she made her way to the command center and burst through the door, her eyes darting to the man sending out orders.

Quickly she was next to him staring at the camera's blankly. No one made a move toward her or even spoke to her, just continued with their jobs sparing only a saddened or curious glance. On screen Rowena watched as Avaddon charged at Azrael only for Glumisun to divert the attack. Then Rowena's eyes spotted it, the blob on Avaddon's shoulder. Her breath caught in her throat and everything seemed to move slower as worry pierced her heart like a dagger.

How could she let this happen?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What the fuck?"

Azrael stopped in his tracks as he witnessed how Avaddon all of the sudden tried to attack Glumisun with a swift swipe from his free hand. Frowning in confusion and surprised as fuck, Azrael proceeded to take out Murasame from his right hand without taking off his sight from Avaddon.

"Huh... Aren't Avaddon supposed to be that airhead's ally?" Murasame asked in confusion. "Wait a minute... Did he just growl? Don't tell me he's-"

Just as Murasame was about to say her suspicions, Avaddon got aware of Azrael's presence behind him and turned around to glare at him. Going mad, the Back Rose leader got on four and charged at him. Azrael took two steps back and raised his katana for an attack, but remembered his target was Avaddon. Cursing under his breath, the black-haired male gritted his teeth and lowered Murasame while quickly raising his left hand, which ignited into flames.

"Avaddon, what the fuck is wrong with you, man!?" Azrael asked with a shout, pointing his flaming hand at Avaddon. "Stop this bullshit. It's not fucking funny!" Noticing Avaddon was not stopping and still coming at him like a wild animal, Azrael clicked his tongue and shoot a fireball toward Avddon's feet, attempting to make his trip and fall. As his attack missed, Azrael was quick enough to dodge Avaddon by rolling to his right. Completely pissed, Azrael's eyes turned bright red and smoke was coming out from his mouth and nostrils.

"So, this fucking moron wants a fight, huh?" Azrael said while turning around to face Avaddon. "Alright then. I'll give him what he fucking wants." As he thrust Murasame on the ground beside him, Azrael squared up on a fighting stance, his arms bursting into flames. "Just remember that you made me do this, asshole."

"Oi, Azrael! Stop!" Murasame shouted at him, the katana bursting into a dark-purple aura as her specter appeared floating above it. She looked at Azrael with a slight frown. "Don't hurt him. Can't you see he's getting controlled by the feral's infection? Look at his shoulder."

As Murasame pointed at Avaddon's hurt shoulder, Azrael moved his gaze towards it and finally noticed a disgusting black blob, a sign that poor Avaddon was infected by a feral. Cursing under his breath and opening his mouth, Azrael took a step back from him, dropping his fighting stance, and calming down. "Oh, shit, he's infected too!?"

Then, he heard Glumisun requesting his help to save Avaddon from that blob. Turning his head to look at her for a few seconds, he sighed deeply and nodded, looking back at Avaddon. He also noticed the icy wall the Serpent Kiss' leader made to prevent any ferals to disturb them, which he silently thank her. Dealing with an infected leader was more than enough trouble for now.

Swallowing hard, Azrael turned looked at Murasame before looking back at Avaddon. With telekinesis, he lifted the katana and thrust it away from him, right toward the protective barrier. Os the weapon impacted the barrier, it bounced away and dug itself on the ground safely.

"A-Azrael? What the hell are you doing?" Murasame asked him via telepathy with a confused and worried tone. "Are you disposing yourself from me?"

"I must for now," Azrael replied. "I don't know how much time I have left before I too lose my sanity and go berserk like Avaddon. If I got you on me, I'm pretty sure I will use you to hurt Glumisun or Avaddon. I will not forgive myself if something happens to any of them and I certainly can't risk hurting or killing the only person that can save both Avaddon and me. Just stay there, okay? And, Murasame, if something goes wrong... Take care of Shadow, okay?"

"
Stop talking as if you already got killed or something, you idiot!" Murasame clenched her fists in anger. "You...! You can't die that easily! You will not get rid of me that easy either, you know!? You... You can't leave me yet!"

Growling, Murasame turned her head to look over at Glumisun and pointed at her. "Oi, you flat-chest! You better save Azrael or I swear I will haunt you in the night! The idiot got bitten fighting in the Town District. You need to help him too or else I will make the rest of your days a living hell if something happens to him, you heard me!?"

Frowning in embarrassment, Azrael clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Shut the hell up already, will you? And... Glumisun is not that flat, dumbass."

Not wasting any time, Azrael shifted his gaze toward Avaddon and dashed toward him. With a huff, he got behind him and tackled him. As they fell on the ground, Azrael quickly grabbed him and held him by pinning him on the ground. He was struggling as Avaddon didn't want to be held that easily.

"Glumisun, I don't have much time! Do what you must now!" he shouted at the red-hair woman. "Damn it, Avaddon! Stay fucking still! We're trying to help you!"

Shadow Moonlight

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the suspicious and cute fluffy wolf was getting taken away, Shadow stood still and observed him a little longer, her right ear twitching. When the wolf and the person that took him disappeared from her sight, she crossed her arms and placed her right index finger over her lips, thinking deeply.

"Mmmh... I have never smelled anything with so many scents on it," Shadow thought, her nose twitching. "And all of those scents are new to me as well. Too bad he got taken away before I could communicate with him."

Sighing, Shadow shook her head, her long and voluminous silver hair brushing along. "Welp, I guess it's nothing that serious, right? Yeah, I'm pretty sure." With a nod, Shadow turned around and placed her hands behind her before walking toward Ravi with her typical wide and bright smile. Even the aura around her was all sparkly and radiant.

"Oh? You want to borrow my nose?" With a confused smile, Shadow stood in front of Ravi and tilted her head to her right. "Mhm, if that what you need, wakatta. I'll help you with whatever you need, Ravi-kun. After all, you're a really good friend of mine." Chuckling, she lifted herself with the tips of her feet and gently poked the tip of Ravi's nose. "Boop! Ha-ha!"

With an upbeat mood, Shadow turned to her right and began to walk. "Okay, let's go then. I can't wait to start this adventure with you, ha-ha!"

"O-O-Oh, my God! Shadow's here!"

Another group of humans that were loyal fans of Shadow appeared at the Cafeteria, probably after finding out their beloved idol was there. As they spotted her, they quickly ran toward her, holding hand-made banners and wearing t-shirts with Shadow's images. As her ears perked up after hearing the sudden ruckus, Shadow turned her head to look at them and stopped in her tracks to receive them without any problems.

"Ah, Kon'nichiwa, minna!" she said happily and waved her hands at them. The group surrounded her and cheered for her. They all quickly took out some books and begged her to sign them with her autographs. With a nod, she took out a purple Sharpie from a pocket of her skirt and took a random book that was already opened. She placed the bottom of her marker on her chin as she thought about what she could write.

"Sumimasen, what's your name?" she asked the guy in front of him.

"T-Tobias," the guy replied with a nervous stutter, blushing as he looked at Shadow. With a nod, the idol werewolf clicked her marker to take out the writing tip, and with cute and bold letters, she wrote on the book:

"Wishing you the best of luck this school semester, Tobias! Lots of love, Shadow."

With a smile, Shadow kindly returned the guy the book and as he quickly looked down to read it, he gasped and passed out of excitement, but somebody was able to catch him from behind. Blinking with concern, Shadow covered her mouth with her free hand. "O-Oh, dear. Is he okay?"

A girl that was beside the passed-out guy nodded with a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about him, Shadow-sama. He just couldn't hold his excitement." With a chuckle, she held out her book for an autograph. With a nervous chuckle, Shadow slowly took the book, not knowing if she should do as the girl said and not worry about the poor guy that just yeet himself out for a while.

"Ugh, are you guys seriously pestering Shadow?"

As she heard the familiar female voice, Shadow's ears perked up, and quickly turned around to look at the newcomer.

"BEA-CHAN!" Shadow shouted with an excited laugh, hopping happily and tossing away the book she had, which made the owner gasp with shock and move to catch her precious book that had Shadow's autograph.

Clapping her hands, Beatrice began to shoo the fan group which she found annoying as hell. "Just leave her alone, for the love of God. Geez, you guys are too much, honestly!"

Pouting angrily, a guy stood in front of Shadow and pointed at Beatrice. "A loser like you won't understand our never-ending love for our QUEEN WOLF! Prepare to face the wrath of-"

"Ugh, shut it, you lame simp," Beatrice said, interrupting the guy's speech and double slapped him before pushing him away from Shadow. Defeated, the fan group began to slowly walk away.

With a triumphal smile, Beatrice chuckled with a smirk and her hands on her hips. "Kek! And don't show yourselves around here for a long while, weirdos."

Sighing, Beatrice turned around to look at Shadow and was quickly tackled by her.

"BEA-CHAN! HA-HA, FOUND YOU!"

"Aww, of course, you did, Shadow!"

As they hugged tightly, Shadow gently rubbed her cheek against Beatrice with her eyes closed, and the human girl didn't mind at all. She also took that opportunity to give Shadow a few head pats, and ear rubs. Perking up her ears, Shadow opened her eyes widely and looked at Beatrice, clasping her hands together.

"Ah, chotto matte Bea-chan! Did you brought the steak I asked you for!? Because..." Shadow sniffed around Beatrice and smiled while licking her lips. "Ha-ha! I do smell that delicious food on you! You can't hide it from me!"

With a smirk, Beatrice took out a plastic bag from behind her and sighed. "Man, I don't know I even bothered to think that I could trick that superhuman nose of yours, Shadow."

Laughing and clapping her hands, Shadow hopped on her feet and Beatrice gestured her to take a seat at a nearby table. Like an excited child, Shadow noted to the chair and sat down. As Beatrice laid the bag on the table, she opened it and took out a foam plate that had the juicy and tender steak Beatrice managed to save Shadow in time. She had to fight two guys over it, but she won't tell that part to her beloved friend. With a chuckle, Beatrice leaned the plate closer to Shadow, which was with a water-filled mouth.

"Enjoy yourself, Shadow," she told her and the werewolf just did as she was told, taking a fork and a knife to devour her wished lunch. Just because she was a werewolf it didn't mean she would eat her food like a savage beast, you know? She got manners and most of them were thanks to Azrael. He raised her well after all.

Smiling, Beatrice took a seat in front of Shadow and took out her phone while she waited for her to finish eating. "So, leaving aside the steak, were you here to do something else, Shadow?" Beatrice asked out of curiosity.

Munching some steak, Shadow covered her mouth and nodded, her fluffy ears moving along with her hair. "Hai! Ravi-kun told me he needs my nose. I guess he needs help to find something."

Beatrice squinted her eyes and looked at Shadow. "Mhmm... and that Ravi is safe? Because somebody that comes to you asking if "he can borrow your nose" sounds kind of weird and super suspicious."

Shadow giggled while munching another piece of steak and shook her head. "Nai, nai, he's a good friend of mine, Bea-chan. He's the Second in Command of the Ravinca, actually. He's over there, behind you."

When Beatrice turned her body and moved her head to look over at Ravi, she widened her eyes and quickly turned around to face Shadow with a big smile. "O-Oh, my...! He's a hunker, Shadow! Kek... Wooh, I felt hot just by looking at him."

"Oh, no! Are you getting sick, Bea-chan!?"

"What...? Oh. No, no, it's not that, Shadow. Tee-hee. Don't worry about it. Now, finish up so you can help him. And maybe ask him his number for me?"

Shadow blinked in confusion as she looked at Beatrice, eating a piece of steak with her fork.

After a few minutes, Shadow finish eating her three pieces of steak, and Beatrice took out a grape juice pouch from the plastic bag. She took its straw to open the pouch and held it for Shadow to take it. However, instead of taking it, Shadow pushed back her hair behind her ears before leaning forward and sipping the juice while she held it. Blushing, Beatrice looked down at her.

"Geez, Shadow, you're so darn adorable," she said with a chuckle. "Please, never change, okay?"

When she finished drinking her juice, Shadow covered her mouth and burped. "G-Gomen ne, ha-ha..."

With a scoff, Beatrice tossed the pouch in the bag, along the empty plate, and with a napkin, she wiped some sauce from Shadow's lips. "There. Now that you're full, you can go along with Ravi. That was his name, right? I have to go now. My next class starts in 10 minutes."

Nodding, Shadow stood from her seat and walked around the table, and hugged Beatrice once again. "Thank you for the lunch, Bea-chan! I promise to invite you something the next time we meet."

Smiling, Beatrice hugged back Shadow. "We have a date then. See you soon!"

Waving her hand at her, Shadow trotted back to Ravi and waved her right hand at him.

"Oi, Ravi! You're coming or what?"

As expected, she didn't realize it was the poor guy that was probably waiting for her to finish everything she was doing.

Time she thinks Avii has left before full infection - 1:57

Five minutes has passed since the barrier has transferred and the timer started.

With the white-haired demon confused on who really was to attack, Glumi started the melody to raise the barrier. She wanted to kick herself for being so slow as she was now. Eyes focused on the blob, she removed one of the scalpel on her bag and was moving behind the infected leader only to have Sir Azrael throw his weapon, Murasame, to the entrance. "Wh-Wha~! Sir, what are you doing?" she demanded, causing Avii to look at her direction and charge towards her.

Pinned on the wall, Glumi watched in growing horror as Avii raised his fist to pound her. Scalpel at hand, she met his knuckles with her tiny knife and growled lowly as blood started spray. She needed the male to step on the circle so she can temporary contain him. She was so concentrated in removing the blob that she almost completely blocked the other leader. 180 Seconds.

Three second in and both males were on the ground, Sir Az pinning the older one down as he yelled something. Glumi panted on the spot, wiping the blood off her eyes. Using the same operating equipment, she was stabbed the blob from the male's shoulder and used her hands to yank it off, eyes narrowing when flesh came with it.

"Oi, you flat-chest! You better save Azrael or I swear I will haunt you in the night! The idiot got bitten fighting in the Town District. You need to help him too or else I will make the rest of your days a living hell if something happens to him, you heard me!?"

Violet eyes stared at the beauty cursing her and Glumi almost broke her instrument then. "What? When?" she demanded. Seeing as both were at the edge of the circle, she grabbed Az and yanked him off the other, her bow already playing the melody to get the barrier up. Letting it slowly close upon Sir Avii, Glumi's attention was now on the black-brown haired man. She only have approximately ten minutes to treat the Ravinca leader.

Straddling the male and injecting him with a drug to keep the infection from spreading further, she turned to any torn clothing or blood splotches. Counting up to 120, she found the only injury the male had. There was still no blob forming so the only thing she needs to do is remove the blackening parts and give him the drug to purge the infection, along with a few bacteria out.

With no anesthesia in her arsenal, she yanked the mask off before moving close to Sir Azrael's face, their lips almost touching, pheromones already enveloping both of them. "Apologies, sir," she breathed out seductively, watching carefully to see if his pupils dilate. Twenty seconds and she flipped him, actually kissing his nape before cutting through his flesh and removing parts of it.

430 seconds before she got most of the visible infection out. Bandage ready, she quickly and effectively wrapped his calf up and have him wear the mask. Thank the spirits for self-sanitizing equipment! He needed to flush out the effects of the pheromones. "Stay," she chirped to the leader. "Sir Dame, call in the ambulance and start removing the barrier to the exit."

Since Glumisun technically summoned the barrier, she had the access to enter. Getting out was another story. With a limited space for the larger demon to even move away, she pinned the male on the ground like what she did to Sir Azrael earlier. "Keep still or I will hurt you more," she chirped. But unlike the way she treated the leader of Ravinca, the violin's bow pierced through his wrist to keep it still. "Now be a good boy and let's get it off." Pheromones once again was excreted and Glumisun hoped it has the same effects as anyone else.

The red head injected him with the same drug as sir Az before she started slicing through the goo and blackened flesh. 600 seconds as it was harder to remove the parts with bones and major veins in the area. All in all, approximately 28 minutes has been used. Too close for comfort. Removing the barrier and getting off the ground, she groaned. "Spirits, sir Avii. If you wanted to pinned, you could have thought of a simpler way with this." She was close to passing out as she had created spell after spell after spell.

Moving to where Murasame was, she made a face. "Will it be alright to hold you and give you back to your rightful place?" she inquired, eyes glazing over from time to time from exhaustion.

The cracking of the ice wall had the scholar bite her lower lip then. "Not now. please. Let them get away first," she prayed.

Time left till complete infection
Before Reaching Avaddon - 54:55
After Avaddon Operation - 26:55

As the crazed male charged at Azrael, he'd swipe and attempt to tackle the other leader in predicable strikes that were easily dodged each and every time. Even as Azrael called out to attempt and get Avaddon to snap back to his senses, the words only went in one ear and out the other while the black substance kept oozing from his mouth, all the while the blob that resided upon his shoulder twitched and pulsated as it grew larger with every passing second.
After yet another dodge only to send Avaddon charging into the large ice wall that Glumisun had created to seperate the rest of the quarantine zone from where the trio were, by the time he had turned back around; he'd end up letting out a blood curdling shout causing the black substance to splatter everywhere like salvia.

Charging forward blindly yet again, as Azrael swiftly got behind Avaddon simply to pin him down upon the pavement, the infected leader began to thrash and flail like an untamed beast. The longer he stayed pinned the more enraged he became as he dug his nails into the ground even till blood was drawn from underneath his nails. Even once Glumisun had approached the duo, his sclera in both eyes had started to become pitch black as they glazed over little by little. It wasn't till she had stabbed the strange blob upon his shoulder that he'd let a shriek leave his lips while the blob even gave off a loud screeching whine, by the time it was torn off Avaddon's shoulder it scurried around on the floor wounded from the scalpel. Avaddon on the other hand was left panting and wincing in pain while he continued to thrash though his own senses starting to revert little by little with the main reason of the infection removed.

Left there while Glumisun had attended to Azrael, by the time Avaddon was free of the other male, he'd start to stand while his own blackened gaze shifting over towards the duo while she operated on him. Limping slowly over to attack them, he was quickly interrupted to find the shrinking barrier that was forced around him. Banging on it with little energy left after the blob was removed, he'd groan and wheeze as he clawed his bloodied nails across the barrier till his area of movement had become too restricted to even move properly.

The whole operation with Azrael had taken several minutes and by the time Glumisun had approached the barrier only to hold him down along with the use of another scalpel to keep him still. The still infected Avaddon groaned with low growls while she proceeded to operate and remove the blackened flesh from his shoulder. The scent of her pheromones making it the infection difficult to continue proceeding through his internal systems as he shook his head trying to rid himself of the scent as though it were burning him.
Finally as the blackened flesh was removed, Avaddon had regained much more of his senses even if the infection still continued through his bloodstream. "Wha..." As Avaddon spoke as though he were in a complete daze, he'd shake his head just to slowly sit up while his vision was a complete blur. Turning his head to look at his surroundings only to find that they were still in the quarantine zone, he'd curse under his breath until the sounds of cracks forming caught his attention.

Staring at the large wall of ice behind him that he wasn't aware of, the sight of cracks forming all over it had his own eyes widened as he raised his injured arm that was just operated on towards the wall of ice just to begin dropping the temperature in the surrounding area as much as he possibly could and as quickly as he could. The base of the wall quickly began to freeze over as well as the cracks mending themselves ever so slightly as the pain of using his arm was only making the whole ordeal that much more difficult. "We need to leave...!" Straining whatever energy he had still left, he'd shout to the other two leaders that they needed to go immediately.

As the sight of how Asphodel hadn't killed the feral was questionable, Nue hadn't bothered to argue or simply do the job himself as it appeared as though this was some kind of request clearly. Whatever the reason was, as long as it had nothing to do with him directly, Nue didn't really care too much. Following after the man as he motioned for Nue to follow after him, he did just that only to read the message that he typed upon his phone while the duo made their way down the hall and into the morgue. Reading as to how the request was directly from Glumisun, he'd raise a brow before handing Asphodel his phone back.

By the time they were within the morgue, the scent in the room had Nue's mask whirling with much more speed just to make sure to filter out all the smells as he was given a note from what Asphodel was stating that was going on throughout the city along with the reports were going to be sent to Glumisun as per her request. "Something breeched the city walls...? Hm, after my tasks are complete..I will do a recon around Serpent's Kiss to see if I find anything suspicious--" As Nue finished his comment, being pushed out of the room had him turning his head over his shoulder to look towards Asphodel who was pushing him out. Tilting his head questionably about what the hurry was for, Nue shook his head in response just to begin proceeding to head out of the building.

During his way out of the building, the sounds of battle caught the male's attention as he turned in the direction of the sound only to find it coming from a room along the hall he was walking down. Approaching the door only to find what appeared to had been Rowena; Black Rose's second in command standing in the middle of a large circular room with cameras located on every bit of the surrounding walls. "Rowena? What're you doing here?" Questioning her openly as he entered the room, seeing the camera she was staring at, the sight of what appeared to had been Glumisun, Azrael and Avaddon in the quarantine zone and Avaddon attacking the two had him in shock. Gritting his fangs underneath his mask, he'd rush up in front of the camera with cylinders of his mask quickly turning into a dark red. "What in the seven princes?! What is that fool doing?!" Quickly shifting his angered gaze over towards Rowena, it took every fiber of his soul not to grab her by her throat on the spot as he glared at her intently to get an answer.
"What is your fucking boss doing!? I swear, if he lays a hand on Madam Glumisun, I will personally tear his throat out and feed it to the snakes!!"

After sending the details to his leader and receiving new orders of continuing to monitor and scout around only to get a reward later on when they had reunited, Moon-Moon couldn't help but drool a bit as his tail wagged while he continued to run through the streets of the city just thinking of what kind of foods awaited him when he returned. His mind wandered so much that during his run, he'd lose focus on his surroundings as he ended up running up to a large metal gate and bump his snout straight up against it before falling to floor with both his front paws covering over his snout from the pain of running straight into it with full force. Whining to himself, he'd bring his attention upwards towards the large gate before backing away carefully to see that at the top of the gate it said 'Ravinca'. Blinking and staring down at the size of the gate, he'd turn his head from side to side to find a way through it before the sounds of metal gears grinding had him jump back and bring himself down into a offensive stance as though he was preparing for battle.

Slowly the gates opened with a loud drag across the pavement just to reveal the street to continue forward as people were entering into the area Moon was standing and others were entering through the gate. Questioning as to what he was witnessing, he'd make sure to record the entire gate opening with his covered eye as well as scanning along the sides as well as the top for any weaknesses in the metal along with seeing if he could figure out how the mechanism worked.
After taking whatever details he could, he continued through the gate and went on his way to explore the rest of the city, taking in whatever information that he might've found strange or useful to know.

Find a lab.

That sounded like a simple enough task. If one forgot about all the vermin demons roaming around freely, anyway. Should she sneak in and take over or should she look around for some less inhabited areas for their leader to purchase later? The second sounded safer. It would only take so much work to clean it up and make something of it. The first, though riskier, would provide them with something ready to go. Given their limited supplies, the second would be a great choice. But getting caught early on would be a pain of its own.

As she pondered her decisions, she looked out the window and figured she'd take her chances and wander deeper into enemy territory. Perhaps they'd also learn more about this place if she did so. "The latter is best." She mumbled to herself, deciding on finding somewhere unoccupied or for sale. Perhaps they'd run into someone dumb enough to give them some information along the way. "Are you tagging along?" Serenity's gaze momentarily turned towards Kayden, vaguely aware of his gaze on her. Pulling her hood over her fair hair and reeling in her tail so that it wouldn't be as noticeable beneath her cloak, she prepared to leave.

Without waiting for an answer, she stepped outside once she was prepared. If he followed, it'd be enough of a response. Since she had little sense of direction, she simply faced away from the towering wall in the distance and simply moved forward. She couldn't get lost if she simply went straight. All roads had to lead somewhere.

~

Their exploration of this strange haven of demons was more peaceful than expected. The deeper they went, the more humans she seemed to notice. At some point, Serenity even got comfortable enough to remove her hood, feeling that having it up would only draw suspicion if any were to notice anything off about what happened at the walls.

That comfort only lasted so long. At one point she felt watched. Looking up, she thought she saw some strange wave passing by, disturbing the air around it but it was gone the next second, taking that uncomfortable feeling with it. Could someone have noticed them and sent a drone? Was this place even technically advanced enough for such things? "One must be imagining things." She muttered to herself, waving the strange feeling off. Thinking back to everything they've seen so far, she couldn't imagine anyone in this place owning anything that advanced.

Shrugging it off, she moved her attention back to the large facility in front of them. It seemed the lot was up for sale. From the outside it looked like some kind of project left long abandoned. Strangely enough it was in a less inhabited part of the city. It had been a while since she's seen anyone pass by. Several meters in the distance, she also noticed that there were signs and warning tape but was too far to read any of it.

Could it be a construction zone? It would make sense for them to reconstruct the buildings in this area. The closer one seemed to get to those signs in the distance, the worse for wear some buildings seemed. Previously she assumed they reached somewhere where poverty was prevalent. Yet there was more damage than there was vandalism. Which made her all the more wary of what was on the other side of those buildings. Even the one before them had boarded up windows. "This place probably isn't selling for much." Ren commented, extending her tail out of her cloak and pointing it at the closest wall.

As if coming to life, the head began to spin, mechanisms whirling as a round ball of light gathered in the center. Shortly after, it condensed into a bright red beam and shot forth at the wall, vaporizing the material it landed upon, cutting through it like butter. With utmost precision, she cut out a small square shape they would have to repair later.

Once the lines connected smoothly, she moved forward and pushed the square in, making them a neat little entrance. "Time to look around a bit. If this place isn't good enough, we can just go back to the last area." Leading Kayden and his Doberman inside, she pulled out a flashlight and lit up the empty area in front of them. The lobby still had half covered furniture and random objects scattered about. It amazed her that it somehow managed to look worse inside than it did outside. Everything was in disarray and scattered almost as if someone had an apocalyptical level tantrum in there.

"One hopes the rest of the place is in better shap-" A far off thump silenced her. They weren't alone in the building.

Rowena let out the breath that had caught in her throat when Azrael and Glumisun began to fight to save Avaddon. So engrossed in the fight Rowena didn't notice Nue until she heard him call out to her. Surprised by his appearance, her eyes locked with his for a moment before that surprise vanished. His over protectiveness would be his end one day. As Nue seemed to notice the cameras and only take the surface level view Rowena found it her "job" to educate Nue on observation. Of course she knew it wasn't actually a job but Rowena hated people that jumped to conclusions.

Narrowing her red eyes at the male demon, Rowena's icy voice cut through the air like a knife as she explained, "Well, Nue, if you were to observe the fight longer than a second you would notice my boss has been infected. The infection on his arm is currently invading his bloodstream. You, of course, know what that means. He has only a short time for them to remove it. As such Miss Glumisun and Sir Azrael are working together to remove the infection. Of course this is all very noticeable. One need only look." Her gaze narrowed at the end, begging him to lash back at her in retaliation for her tone.

Of course she wouldn't give him the time as she would move him out of her way of the monitor with a gentle push to the side. And as her eyes landed on the screen a wave of relief washed over her. Glumi had removed the infection and Avaddon was coming to his senses. Finally she felt like she could breathe freely. Of course Rowena still felt helpless as she could not override a leader's commands. So, she stood, waiting until she could rush to the leaders and help them to the hospital. Rowena would be forever grateful to Glumisun for saving Avaddon.

Lantry smiled knowingly as Ahmya seemed to be glad he wasn't going to keep the dog. Even if he was to keep them as a pet he would have to carefully remove all traces of being in contact with them through magic due to people being allergic to canines. He was apologetic for going off about work again but he couldn't help it considering the situation.

"Thank you Ahmya." Lantry said with a grateful smile. "This is something I don't want going through wireless communication as it's possible the one behind it may intercept it. The contents of that report detail a potential threat to the city if it manages to escape. Unfortunately it's about our furry friend Terrance took away, but again I do not wish to bore you with work since you've come for tea." Lantry explained with a smile. "Tsk tsk young lady, I'll need to make one you can't break on accident... oh well just another prototype gone for now. Seeing as you've broken so many thus far I need to find stronger material."

Lantry smiled as he watched Ravi and Shadow hug, they would make a cute couple but he knew shadow liked Azrael, though Ravi and Ahmya would be cute too if not for their differing personalities. He chucked to himself quietly as he watched as he hoped to see cute little baby demons of the people around him he cared about before he passed away, though this thought got him to thinking of his own daughter making his mood dampen some but he didn't show it.

"Oh come now Ahmya is here for tea and gossip, she won't scheme about anything here. At least now while I'm here. If you do have spare time it would be nice if you both joined us. However if you must go to take care of your official duties I wish you well and will take you up on the offer of chatting another time." Lantry said with a smile as the others interacted before Ahmya turned back to him and gave him a box as a gift.

"Oh more exotic teas? I've already qot quite the stockpile to try from your last gift." He said with a grin as he took the box. "I know it would be pointless to try and refuse a gift from you so I'll just be honest and say I'm excited to see what is inside." He stated with a smile that caused his eyes to sparkle at his friend and guest. "Now let's see what you've gotten me this time..." He says as he opens the box before revealing a bright eyed Ormslíki that looked up on him with curious eyes. "Oh my what an adorable little fellow! I shall call him Earl, Earl Grey." He said with a grin as he knew Ahmya would understand the name. He picked up the ceature in one arm and cradled it like a baby as it nuzzled into his arm causing him to smile. "Thank you Ahmya, he's absolutely adorable. I'll make sure to have something prepared for your next visit." He said with an expression that exuded joy.

"Well those of you who are to join me for tea I'm now headed to my office, the water will be ready by the time we arrive." He says with a smile as he starts making his way up. On the way he got a report from Terrance on the escape of the dog which turned to ash or some particulate which bypassed the air filter in the barriers. He frowned and changed the barrier to be wholly closed off and to turn on the artificial air circulation, he wasn't going to take any risks, and he already gave the information on the creature to the clan leaders. Still in his old age and wisdom his feeling of something being very wrong with the city and events flared up, but for now he would try to relax with tea.

Just as they were at his office door he found the day got stranger and stranger as his drone spotted someone in the city who matched the program he had running to notice people with enough similarities to himself and his wife to be related to him, he scanned the database enough to know the people by name and he used a few favors to confirm they weren't related to him, but now someone new was in town who was not in his registry... it was odd as he scanned everyone in the city. "Ahmya, were there any new people who immigrated into the city recently?" He inquired as he pulled up his private registry and began to compare it to the city's database with one of his data chips and began pouring tea for everyone who came with him. The Ormslíki that was in his arm having jumped off his arm to begin exploring the room.

Kayden removed his stealth gear, and donned his enhancement gloves. With their current mission having them work under the radar, him walking about with his heavy exo-extention leg braces would sure bring unwanted stares. He'd have to make up for his lack of capped agility with his own abilities. He'd miss the singe of heated metal against his pants, and the added height they gave him. Maybe people would think of him as some rough young adult.. He dressed in a pair of gray harem cargo pants, and a matching camo tee. Yes. He shall pose as a regular hoodlum, because they are most avoided by regular citizens.. unless they're demons!

At the sound of a specific chime from his supervisor, Kayden's senses were suppressed, and his selected personality was activated.

"No one will suspect me," he exclaimed as he struck a pose. "I will be.. inconspicuous.. but also conspicuous, but the unsuspected will be suspected, and because of that we need to suspect that they will be expecting.. Am'I right?" An audible growl was heard from the dog at his side. He knew that she was annoyed, but there was nothing she could do about it. This was for the sake of the mission! Two stone-faced goons walking about would catch the eye of somebody right? People could be so nosy like that..

"Are you tagging along?"

Kayden paused from his heckling of his work mates to look towards the snowy-haired doctor standing across the room. With the cloak thrown over her shoulders, she looked like she was going to a funeral rather than looking for a place to stash her loot. It was the perfect disguise! His lip twitched in an effort to rein in his smile. Before he could answer, she was already out the door.
"..You know I'll follow you anywhere baby.." With his answer given to the ghost of her presence, he snatched the leash extending from Red's collar she had fabricated before running after his teammate.

- - - -

"I got so many fucking pockets on these things man."
Kayden was flipping the latches on the pockets on his pants, and surveying the contents as the three walked down the street. He had enough knives to supply a high rated kitchen, some explosives, two handguns, ammo, and an expired granola bar left over from the previous time he had worn the pants. 10 years sure did go by fast.. "Jackpot~," he sung before biting into the crumbling oat bar. He looked about as he enjoyed his snack. Was it wrong to say that he was disappointed by the lack of action going on around them? Other than a couple arguing at storefront, everything was calm, and.. dare he saying.. normal. If you ignored the occasional oddball with spiraling horns, orange skin, or a dozen eyeballs, he could have mistaken the place for a city back home. Ren must have had the same thought as she pulled her hood back.
"Yeah girl. Let yo hair down~" The trio didn't stick out that much compared to the colorful demons walking about. There shouldn't be any reason that they would draw attention to themselves-

He stopped as he noticed Ren, and Dog had stopped walking, and was looking to the sky. He looked to, but he was too late, and hadn't notice anything different. Damn.. was it something that was important for all of them to see? He turned to Ren, hoping she'd enlighten him on what she had seen, but he only got distant mutters. If it was something he needed to know, she would have told him, or Dog would have switched him off. The though was discarded as they traveled deeper into the city, the smog of common chatter, and daily commute dissipating as they neared what appeared to be a construction sight, though it, like the buildings, seemed to be long abandoned. The disarray, clutter, and overall state of the place made him uneasy. He was used to the tidy, and clean space that was his room, and the entirety of the Ash Wolf compound. This was a bit much..

"Well, it looks like we found our place! Why don't we head back, and-"
He was cut off by the sound of Ren activating her laser, and firing it into the nearby wall. He stopped, and watched in awe as she cut a neat square, and shoved the slab of concrete inwards, opening an entrance. "That was amazing Ren-Baby! You should do me next!" He followed her inside, fanning the dust from his face. He tapped Dog to signal her to switch on her lights, her eyes glowing, and shining twin beams on the wall in front of her. He was going to comment on the state of the place, but the sound of another presence had his mouth sealed.

A moment after the trio entered, several figures approached the from the various entrances to the room they stood in. A dozen or so demons circled around them. Hanging out in some abandoned building? They were clearly a bunch of low-lives with nothing going for them. They were disposable in the trio's mission to find a secure location.

"Can't say I've seen you two 'round here." One of the demons stepped forward. He was in the same state of wear as the rest, but it was clear he was the leader as the other parted for his approach. "You mus be new, so I'll let you off quick. Gimme everything you got, and get the fuck out."

Operational Funds had now been acquired. Sephtis left his little program in the system, turning it off for now. Doubtless they'd need more at some point, but for now, the several million dollars he'd skimmed should do the trick. Sephtis stood up from the bench, once more repeating his "I fell asleep on accident" act, before walking away.

His first destination with money in hand was a nearby tailor's shop. He needed a suit for the next phase of his plan. And a few minutes later, a suit he had, purchased with a mere drop of the ocean of ill-gotten wealth he now had. The tailor had done his best in the short time Sephtis had given him, but the suit still wasn't the best fit. He'd best not get into any fights until he'd changed, lest it hinder him.

And so he found himself on the doorstep of a nearby real estate agency. He took a deep breath, then put himself into his "I'm big, important, and you're wasting my time" act. Spine straight, slight tilt of his head, and shoulders back. Adjust his stance to appear rich and confident. And finally, that special look in his eyes. The one that made it clear that he felt he was being shortchanged by breathing the same air as these people. A perfect "I'm the heir to a massive fortune and have never had to see anyone as an equal" look.

He stepped into the building, spotting a receptionist with obviously demonic features. "Welcome! How can we-" The receptionist jumped as they looked over at Sephtis.

It was then that Sephtis realized that he'd let a small trace of his idle thoughts about just killing the receptionist slip into his expression. Obviously it had been noticed. He wiped it from his expression, hoping that the receptionist would just confuse it with irritation. "Bring me one of your agents. I need a new property."

Ravi nodded as Shadow agreed to come with, only to be caught by a nose boop. Having only two arms was a major inconvenience. The two started to head towards the door when Shadow was beset by a mob of admirers. He'd forgotten exactly how popular she was on-campus.

And then a few minutes later, she had completely forgotten what they were doing in favor of a couple of steaks with her friend. Ravi sighed and inserted the chip Lantry had handed him into his portable device. He began reading through the data within while keeping an eye on Shadow and her friend. He gave Lantry a friendly wave as he lead Ahmya out of the room.

A few second of reading later, he happened to glance up only to notice Shadow's friend eyeing him with a distinctly predatory gaze that sent shivers up his spine. He shivered for real, then looked back down at the data. It was all technobabble to him, but it seemed like the dog from earlier had been technologically enhanced? Ravi couldn't think of any approved experiments along those lines since he'd been raised to second in command. Even if he didn't understand the research, he still had to keep himself informed about what Ravinca's scientists were up to.

And a few minutes later, he was roused from his reading by Shadow waving him down. He looked up, then sighed helplessly and started following after her. Once the pair had exited the campus, he took the lead, heading towards the first crime zone to investigate. "You have your shockers on you? Probably won't need them, but better safe than sorry."

If not, they'd make a detour to pick them up before continuing to the crime zone. "We're going to stop by a few areas. I want you to see if you can pick up any strange smells and where they went. If something or someone attacks me while we're investigating and it seems like we'll be overwhelmed, I want you to go get help."

Her eyes landed on the caged butterflies on her desk, their vermillion wings fluttering with excitement. Velrosa set her wine down and grabbed a knife. She needed to distract herself from thinking about the life she took earlier. Her father once told her that she must protect what she owns. Even if it means killing a man with a child.

Velrosa pressed the knife against her skin and, without hesitation, nicked her forearm. She was used to the pain, yet tears still fell on her cheeks. She watched the blood trickle out until it reached her fingertips before extending her hand into the cage, the butterflies quickly latching on to be fed.

"Are you... crying?"

Velrosa jumped at the voice. There standing at her office was Shion, the Pyschofox of Serpent's Kiss.

This was bad. How long was Shion standing there? How much did he see?

"Vel-"

"Shut up."
Velrosa breathed out, her voice cold and rigid while she forced herself to think straight. She didn't bother to wipe her tears as she pulled her hand away from the cage, facing him afterward.

Shion smirked but held his tongue. He knew he'd be signing his death if he pushed further. Thus, plastering a charming smile, he grabbed a healing talisman underneath his sleeve before willing it to plaster against the cut.

"This feels like a trap," Velrosa said.

"Most of my actions are," replied Shion.

"Spare me your wit, fox. What do you want?"

The Psychofox smiled wider. This is why he loves Velrosa. Always straight to the point! Humming happily while finishing up, Shion showed his true intention. "I want to know where my beloved Glumi is."

He was supposed to stalk her though he lost track as soon as his leader entered the Sanctum. He waited for her in the lobby like a lovesick puppy yet, he was directionally challenged. When he was about to stalk her again, her trail was already gone cold and long gone. He also found himself in the middle of nowhere. Lost.

Velrosa rolled her eyes. Of course, Shion only cares about Glumi. The male was obsessed! And she was the only one who knew. How can she not when the male would often commission the guild to take secret photos of Glumi? When Shion sometimes asks the guild to steal some of Glumi's personal belongings?

The leader of Bloody Moon cannot comprehend why Shion prefers Glumi though she's not complaining. The mere thought of having him as her stalker was enough to make her skin crawl.

"Fine," Velrosa muttered under her breath, clearly done with the conversation.

Velrosa stared at her caged butterflies and focused hard, reaching into the depths of her power. Her butterflies are specially cultivated to work for her as spies. Feeding it with her blood gave her the ability to see through the insect's eyes for a short period. She scoured for her butterflies scattered around the zones, wincing when she found the right one.

"Tell me I'm not seeing what I think is seeing," Velrosa said, her heart pounding through her ears.

"What do you see?" asked Shion.

Her mind could not quite make sense out of what she was seeing. A fight with a feral. Az and Av infected. Av is being held down. Then Glumi saved both.

"How stupid can they be?!" She muttered under her breath. "Avaddon was infected? And Glumi- Just how-"

Gritting her teeth, Velrosa snapped her eyes open. Anger surged deep within her. She furiously opened her desk drawer to grab a maroon pouch before running out of her office, Shion right behind her.

Shion followed Velrosa closely. He couldn't understand what was happening though he was certain that Glumi was involved. The thought of his leader being infected made him shiver: both in good and bad ways.

When they arrived at their destination, two people stood guard at the doors: a girl in trousers and a stout man in plaid. Both straightened their backs at the sight of her.

"You can't enter through these doors." The male shouted. "We have strict orders not to let anyone pass."

"Open the doors," Velrosa commanded through gritted teeth, her patience wearing thin. Her eyes were now turned into slits while she stalked closer. Similar to how a predator hunts its prey. "or you won't be able to breathe."

Velrosa watched the guard flinch. It was barely perceptible, like a marionette yanked once by its strings, then allowed to return to rest.

The other guard gulped but still held their ground. "We were given orders, miss. We can't allow you to pass."

Shion was already slipping out his fan from his sleeves when Velrosa struck.

Her fist collided with the guard. She made sure the first punch shattered two ribs. The second had the guard coughing blood.

"Maybe we should snap the other one's legs. So they cannot stand guard anymore." Shion suggested.

In the end, the doors opened. Velrosa wiped her hands against her clothing while Shion flicked the blood off of his fan. One of the guards was whimpering, cradling its broken leg. The other was wheezing and clearly having trouble breathing.

"Glumi!~" Shion rushed towards the girl once they entered. Worry and concern were etched on his face while he reached for her hand to give comfort. "Oh, my beloved leader, are you alright?"

Velrosa, on the other hand, stared at Az and Av. Anger radiated off her as she approached the two while fishing out a cookie from the maroon pouch she brought.

"Eat this cookie while I'm being nice..." She commanded. "...because I am seconds away from shoving this down your throat."

In her hand was a gingerbread cookie with beady eyes and red buttons. Although it looks normal, the cookie's true nature was beyond that. It was specially made by Velrosa for emergencies. Purely crafted with her blood mixed into the batter, the gingerbread cookie will heal their injuries yet give her access to control both their emotions and motor functions.

"Come on, " Velrosa uttered with impatience. "unless you really want me to choke you."

Blinking red lights once again started. The building was once again in lockdown. Chambers were closed from the outside and those poor sods inside have to deal with it. Reason? Once particular white-haired coroner from the Serpent's Kiss decided to involve the whole building just to mess around with two particular second-in-commands.

He was just supposed to get some swabs from the supply office when he noticed both officers standing there looking at the screens. What was in the screen? He did not really see as he was concentrated on Nue-tella and the little lady with black hair. Smiling like it would split his face, he turned on the alarm before grabbing some tape.

'Rushing down the hall' as if it was an emergency situation, he skidded to a stop to raise a brow at those two. Acting as if he was concerned, he scribbled some form of note into his pad and taped it on the glass that trapped Rowena and Nue in the monitoring room. 'Under emergency, will have both of you out in approximately thirty minutes. Be nice.' on the back of the paper in which it can't be seen by the pair was another message. 'Don't lift the glass in this room. Do it after forty minutes or I will use your body as a cadaver. - Asphodel Garnethe'

Saluting to the two, he rushed from the room. Asphodel merely glanced at the monitors to see their leader torturing Avaddon by operating on him. HE was not going to question that now. He will ask later. When the structure is on lockdown, no abilities were to be used or anything else to be broken. This was protocol and the materials installed did their job. To also make it safe, there was a neutralizing barrier around the area to dissuade the people from destroying the structure.

As Rowena explained the situation to Nue about how Avaddon was infected and how Glumisun as well as Azrael were doing what they could to remove the infection from the Black Rose leader, he'd return his attention upon the surveillance cameras only to notice the blob that was on Avaddon's shoulder. Cursing under his breath at the sight of how a leader had been infected, he'd clench his fists at how clumsy one of the leaders could be to get themselves infected in such a way. "And I'm sure you know if he isn't taken care of quickly than there is no doubt we're going to have a huge problem on our hands. An infected leader is not something that should be taken lightly. Either Miss Glumisun can help that fool and figure out something to remove that infection inside him, or she better kill him or I'll do it myself." Even as she pushed him aside to approach the cameras, he'd ignore her presence just to approach the door to leave the room only to find that it was locked and the alarms for lockdown quickly ringing throughout the facility.

Gasping at the sounds and how the two second in commands were now trapped in the surveillance room, Nue quickly looked around the room only to find on the glass that blocked their exit was a note that was placed there about how they would be released after thirty minutes and not to lift the glass up and of course it had to be signed by Asphodel of all people. Narrowing brows at the sight of this, he'd bang onto the glass with his fists in frustration before crossing his arms and resting his back against the doorway.
"Fucking Asphodel. What the hell is he thinking putting the place under lockdown again?! And to be trapped here with you of all people?! What're you even doing here? I thought you were so intent on protecting your leader like a little lost puppy."

After entering the new area with having no idea what to expect, Moon-Moon wandered around the streets constantly in search of whatever he could find of interest even though most of it was simply just ordinary people working or people going about their own business. It wasn't until he had ended up walking by a restaurant did he take in the scent of cooked food that he'd pause just to turn his attention towards the building. Sitting across the street from the restaurant, the canine would pant and drool as he watched people eating their meals out on the patio. His tail would start to wag as he slowly started to approach the patio before the sound of arguing caught his attention. Immediately stopping and turning towards the another place that also had the smell of food coming from it, he'd start to make his way over towards the strange noises instead.

Peaking his head into the building which had its doors wide open only to find that it was a bar, there appeared to had been a drunkard shouting at an elderly man behind the bar counter about giving him more to drink while the elderly man refused to hand another drink to the man, stating that he was too drunk and that he should leave. Blinking at the sight of this, Moon-Moon took notice of the features of the man shouting that he was a demon and how the elderly man looked more human than demonic. Carefully and quietly, the canine would move into the building just to stick to the darker parts of the bar just so he could get a closer look at what was going on.
Eventually, finding his way over towards one of the pool tables, he'd drop himself down onto his stomach just to rest his chin upon his front paws while he listened intently to the conversation between the two men.

"You better *hic* give me another *hic* drink...old man..*hic* ..or I'll blow..this...whole place*hic* to the ground!!" Just listening to the man's threats, Moon stood up underneath the pool table with his ears perked and fangs quickly showing with quiet growls. Though he wouldn't attack just yet as he kept to his training to listen and get all the details before taking action. The elderly man was quick to reach under counter to press for the silent alarm before two largely muscular men; one demon, the other human stepped out to approach the drunkard who saw this just to grab his empty cup and toss it at the one of the guards. The quick was quick to explode in the face of one of the guards due to the drunkard's ability while the other rushed the man to tackle him to the floor.
Watching this, Moon-Moon made sure to record every second to know that the drunkard had such an ability to be able to make inanimate objects explode as well as how this location had a human as a bartender.

"Threat?" Ahmya lightly tapped her fan against her chin, thinking back to the dog from earlier. How could such a dumb thing be a threat? " I can put it out of its misery if it worries you so." Speaking as if she were merely discussing the weather, she warily watched as the two Ravinca members went and did their own thing. Ravi's comment had her turning away towards Lantry instead, careful to conceal any mild anxiety she may be displaying carelessly. Was she blinking too much?

Suddenly highly self conscious of her body language, she focused her full attention to Lantry as he opened the gift, eager to see it as well as she had not taken a peek at it beforehand. At the sight of the living breathing creature, she had to do a double take. Her eyes widened incredulously at the sight of it.

This was not what she had ordered.

When she asked for someone to go purchase a Ormslíki tea pet, she had expected them to return with a figurine of some sort. Preferably one that changes color depending on the temperature of the tea. Though she had wondered why the box was bigger than she had expected, she had not expected an actual creature to be sitting inside the entire time.

The second was so perplexed by its existence that she nearly missed catching it's name. "Earl.. Ah! Yes! I love it!" She responded with more enthusiasm than necessary as she forced herself to peel her eyes away from 'Earl' and back to Lantry. Though part of her wanted to return it, the doting look on Lantry's face had her bite her tongue. "Pleasure to meet you, Earl." She greeted it with a light boop to its snout. At least it was cute and more tame than that mutt from before.

Rather than reveal she had not meant to give him this creature, she followed along, looking forward to the tea. Once they reached his office, she made herself at home and took a seat at her usual spot. The atmosphere was nice and casual until Lantry mentioned immigration. Was working in this life really so unavoidable? Though she complained mentally, her smile did not falter, accepting the inevitable. "I haven't heard of any new immigrants lately. They're fairly rare as it is. Are you expecting someone?" After realizing this, her mind backtracked to that threat he had mentioned before. "Does this have something to do with that dog?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Azrael kept struggling to pin down Avaddon against the ground, he suddenly got tackled from his right. Yelping with surprise, the dark-brown-haired male landed on his back on the ground and when he looked up at the person that was pinning him, he squinted his eyes in confusion when he realized it was Glumisun.

"What the fuck are you doing, Glumisun?" he asked the Serpent Kiss leader. "Have you lost your goddamn mind or-"

Just as he was about to bomb Glumisun with more questions, the demoness straddled him in place, pulled a syringe out of nowhere, and thrust it on his right arm, injecting some kind of drug Azrael was unaware of. Widening his eyes and getting annoyed, he grabbed Glumisun's hips, and when he was about to push her away from him, she pushed her face closer to his. Azrael completely froze where he was, his body tense, and his light-brown eyes locked with Glumi's velvet eyes. Their lips were almost touching, and he could smell her body scent. He wanted to kiss her so badly right now, and his body suddenly got hotter than usual, probably her pheromones affecting him.

"Apologies, sir."

Azrael snapped out of his trance as soon as Glumisun flipped him over and stabbed his infected calf with her scalpel. Growing in pain, Azrael dug his nails and fingers on the ground when he clenched his hands into fists. He cursed under his breath as Glumisun did her best to cut out infected flesh and tissue from his calf to prevent the infection to spread. The pain was so unbearable for him without anesthesia that he struggled to stay conscious.

When she finished the quick procedure on his calf, Glumisun bandaged his wound and put him on her mask. Azrael turn around on his back and laid flat on the ground. He was breathing heavily, had a terrible headache, and was so dizzy that his vision was slightly blurred.

"A-Avaddon," Azrael managed to say, slowly lifting his right hand, but it fell back to the ground after being weak. "We... We need to save Avaddon." Being drugged with a serum to prevent the spreading of the infection, and with Glumisun's pheromones was more than enough to bring down a titan.

After those last words, Azrael closed his eyes and stayed on the ground, resting.

He doesn't know how much time passed, but a familiar and unpleasant voice caught Azrael's attention. As he opened his eyes, he slowly began to push himself to sit on the ground, carefully to not move too roughly his hurt calf. Sighing deeply, he moved his head to look over at Avaddon, which was now on the floor. He didn't have the disgusting blob on his shoulder, so Azrael was relieved to know that bastard will be alright thanks to Glumisun.

"She's going to scold the shit out of us later," Azrael thought and a scoff escaped his lips. Then, he turned his head to his right and spotted Glumisun with Shion. Yes, that creepy Psychofox that's completely obsessed with Glumi. Frowning and gritting his teeth with annoyance, Azrael took what little energy he had to try to stand up, but was intercepted by Velrosa. How she ended up here was unknown to Azrael. She also appeared to be pissed with Avaddon and him.

"Eat this cookie while I'm being nice because I am seconds away from shoving this down your throat."

After hearing such a commanding voice, Azrael swallowed hard and looked down at the gingerbread cookie laying on Velrosa's hand. The cookie looked so cute and innocent, but only an idiot would eat that thing and fall for her deadly trap. Velrosa uses these small biscuits to control her victims and play with them at her will. However, she was offering them to Avaddon and himself, two clan leaders and fellow allies. Azrael believed she wouldn't be stupid to do anything bad to them. But, then again, nothing is safe when Velrosa is around.

Clicking his tongue, Azrael reached for the cookie with his right hand.
"You better don't try anything funny with me Vel," Azrael warned her with a serious glare before looking down at the gingerbread cookie. Hesitating, Azrael muttered "Fuck it" before opening his mouth and tossing the cookie in it. Munching the crunchy treat, Azrael was surprised to taste the delightful sweet flavors that the gingerbread cookie had, especially knowing that Velrosa's blood was mixed in the batter.

"Mmmh, so this is how you trick them, huh?" he thought and scoffed with a slight smirk. He thought that the only person that won't fall for this treat was Shadow due to her supernatural nose. He also knows that Shadow will know that he ate some cookies and will scold him for not sharing some with her.

Swallowing the cookie, Azrael moved his head to look around.
"So, I assume you're here because you found out Avaddon and I got infected by the ferals?" Azrael asked Velrosa, switching his gaze to her. "If you're here to scold us and tell us how stupid we were, save it. We already know that, and we are going to have more than enough with Glumisun doing the same."

With the common threat out of the way and two people, along the medical staff came, Glumisun frowned. It was when the black-haired beauty moved towards the two injured leaders did it processed in her tired brain. "M-miss Vel~!" Then comes the smiling white-haired male towards her. She jumped in surprise, her skin crawling as she turned to the kitsune with her, sir Shion. "S-sir!" she yelped out before trying her hardest to keep her expression under wraps. "Wh-what are you doing here?" she asked, moving away a bit to give herself a comfortable distance.

Hearing the other leader try to force something to the males. Seeing the infamous cookie to heal most injuries, she panicked a bit, the atmosphere there turning hot for a second due to the humidity. "M-miss... I don't think healing them~!" her mouth immediately shut up as she watched Sir Azrael take the cookie. "I... wasn't finish with their treatment," she stated in disbelief before moving and apologizing to sir Shion as this was still a bit of an emergency.

"Sir Dame, please contact Miss Pitcher for operations on the infected. We need to remove every trace of it." Her expression turned to pleading to sir Avii. "Sir, please don't eat that," she whispered.

Not wanting to see what happens to the more severe case, she turned and walked to the entrance and motion for the people to get the leaders out of there. She was already uncomfortable having the black-haired leader of Bloody Moon there as well as the overly-cheerful fox spirit. With signal finally reaching her phone, she texted Nue she will be heading to Serpent's Kiss' largest hospital compound located at the border of the Neutral Zone and the territory. Not wanting to have her friend go panicking again, she did not say anything of the details. Being checked herself for any traces that she might have been infected, they gave her the green card.

As stretchers came by and the two were strapped in them, Glumi stood at the entrance wearing down her lower lip. How was she going to make it any less painful to a fully-healed sir Azrael to bleed the remaining virus out? Create some cuts maybe? The wound on his calf was supposedly be the exit point. Now that he went and completely healed himself...

"Proceed with the same steps," she instructed the head of the medical team who would be joining with Sir Azrael. "Inject the last doze to completely remove the virus. Check his brain if it is already took a hold of it. If so, you know what to do."

The medical staff snorted. "Let him bleed through his pores, Glumi. It's the idiot leader's fault in trying to heal himself. The prickling sensation all over his body would be lesson-learned for him." Patting the red-head female, the medic smirked. "You smell like death. Get back home and clean yourself. We will handle it."

Glumisun shook her head at this, smiling in appreciation. "Those are the leaders of the clans," she stated, watching as one of the staff offered both Miss Velrosa and Sir Shion a lift to the said hospital. "I'll have an obligation to make sure all of them, including you, are safe."

"The media would have a field day when we arrive. I think they already know what's up."

Sighing, she hated dealing with those. "We will have the Serpentine Ghurka deal with those pesky enough to enter the compound snooping for the leaders."

With that said and everything was in wraps, she turned back to the ice wall one last time before hopping in the back of the ambulance to proceed with the treatment.

Halfway through the ride and her checking to see if she missed some dead flesh during her haste operation, sir Avii decided it best to transform back to his demon form. The wings spread out and had pinned her and the medical staff on the wall. "Sir Avi!" she spattered out only to be slapped by those black feathers. "If you do not stop struggling and making this harder, I will pluck your wings bare and glue pink feathers," she threatened. She can also tell him, she can surgically rip those off of his body the most painful way possible.

The Black Rose leader should know by now that most of her threats are not merely words alone. Back when they were children, he woke up with a rainbow colored hair because he won't shut up about her brutal pace in training.

Lantry knew Ahmya was interested in many teas and methods of brewing them, as such he poured himself a cup of tea and put in his earl grey mix before waving the tea machine over to Ahmya for her to select a flavor and method of her own. He poured a little into a small dish for his new found pet Earl to have some as he cooled it down for it with a icy mist above absorbing the excess heat. He turned to Ahmya after she told him of the fact no one immigrated recently before inquiring if it had to do with the dog.

"It may relate... as you know I lost my daughter ages ago. I ran a scan of the city's database to see if anyone was a potential match many years ago, and I turned up with a few which were investigated but turned out to be unrelated. Well my drone noticed a new person in the database that hasn't shown up before, and she lines up with the possible projected looks that were simulated." Lantry explained. "I find it odd, if they were a citizen that my habitual scans haven't picked them up yet, as according to their data they're a normal resident who has been here for a long time." Lantry stated as he stroked his chin curiously before a notice caught his attention having him frown, as he waves for the magic barrier to close it's vents and to artificially circulate air.

"That was no ordinary dog either it seems, it can use an ability and has escaped the compound. It seems something nefarious truly is afoot in the city." He explained as he began to upload his findings to the security center which would relay the information to the clans to do a proper scan of the database to find our irregularities such as recent additions. "Sorry I've brought up personal matters and work up too much today as it stands which is no proper return for such a wonderful gift." He explained with a smile as he pet Earl who was gleefully sipping on his saucer of earl grey tea. "So what's the latest gossip? I'm eager to hear of the local happenings."

Time before infection -
1 Day 23 Hours 54 Minutes

Even after reinforcing the wall of ice behind the trio, Avaddon knew well enough that was not going to hold back the ferals forever. Carefully sitting up to attempt and catch his breath before the medical team arrived to escort the trio out of the quarantine zone. While he had been focusing his vision of his surroundings, the appearance of a specific dark haired female caught his attention in both confusion as well as shock. It was Velrosa. Rather than immediately question as to what the last of the four leaders were doing here in the quarantine zone, the sight of the small brownish pastry in the shape of a humanoid had him extend out an open palm towards her in rejection of the offer. Knowing Velrosa from his childhood years, even if the cookie might be helpful for many injuries, she often had other side affects to them as well and at the moment, that was the last thing Avaddon needed to be worried about.

Soon enough, the sounds of cracks forming upon the wall of ice behind the group had the male quickly shift his attention back over towards the only thing separating them and possible death. "We can catch up later...We need to move."

Eventually as the medical team had arrived, Avaddon finally allowed himself to fall upon his back as the staff members helped him onto the stretcher and carried him out of the zone along with Azrael and of course Velrosa right after. On the move out of the quarantined zone however, the faint sounds of voices had Avaddon raise a hand to instruct for the medical staff to halt. "Sir--..?" One of the staff members questioned Avaddon even as they were mere inches away from leaving through the hole that would lead them back into the safety of the city.
Behind the wall of ice which continued to crack and crumble in several spots, Avaddon signaled with one hand to tell those around him to be silent as he listened intently as to what he thought he was hearing.

'Yo, ho....All together
Hoist the colors high....
Heave ho....thieves and beggars....
Never shall we die'

"Move!...Close the barrier!" Immediately shouting after listening to what he heard, out of shock the staff quickly rushed through the exit of the zone while the scholars and guards were quick to shut the barrier; during which the wall of ice was quickly pierced by what appeared to had been the bowsprit of a ship that which was dragging along the cement pavement along with the shadowy figure of torn sails. By the time the barrier was fully shut, the bowsprit and shadowy figure of the sails started to retreat back into the shadows and out of view once more and the voices silenced.

Meanwhile, Avaddon laid upon the transport bed within the ambulance as Glumisun and medical staff around him were hooking him up to IV fluids as well as monitors. His original plan was to stay still and allow those around him to work however, with the virus already flowing through his bloodstream, even if he was free of the physical infection; his blood was becoming more contaminated by the second causing him to eventually scream and writhe in agony once the IV fluids rushed through his body, forcing him to morph partially into his demonic form, which included his wings to manifests and extend outwards to pin those around him to the ambulance walls. Hearing the threat that came from Glumisun, he'd shift his piercing crimson and golden hues upon her with a distorted deep growling shout in response. "FUCK OFF YOU STINKING PILE OF SHIT!!" Of course this was unlike Avaddon in every sense and hearing the distortion the other medical staff were quick to inject him with a high dose of medication meant to put beasts under asleep before he quickly was silenced and had fallen limp and into a deep slumber.

Ahmya decided to go with something simple today and chose lychee tea, preparing it with care as she mulled over all he was saying. It was really strange. Even for someone like her who preferred not to overthink things. A resident that suddenly appeared even though they've been living here for some time. "Have you checked for records of that resident? Maybe they modified their looks. Girls like changing things up now and then."

Though she was doubtful, Ahmya had this nagging feeling that they shouldn't just brush it off. Taking a sip of her tea, she thought it over as he moved on to explain about the dog. "It's gone?" It was hard to believe that both the dog and this mystery girl were two separate issues but a dog with abilities escaping from Lantry's place when it seemed he intended to keep it here was a little more than strange.

"I love my share of gossip but I'm not entirely sure we should be brushing this off. If this isn't a coincidence, it sounds like someone has breached these walls without alerting anyone." 'But that's crazy' She shook her head as if the thought alone was improbable. Haven's walls were specifically designed against that very thing.

"Say, do you feel like getting a breath of fresh air? I don't suppose you know where this girl is?" Ahmya wondered, wanting to get some answers rather than assuming what was going on. "We can guess all we want or we can apprehend the girl and make sure this is all just a misunderstanding."

|| Location: Neutral Zone || Interactions: Kayden @ArgonianScum || Mentions: n/a ||

Whatever Kayden meant by "Do me next!" was lost to her. Did he mean for her to shoot him? Slice off some limbs with the laser? Wouldn't that be too troubling with the current circumstances? How was she to patch him up without any tools if she did so? Or… Was this that 'sarcasm' thing Mack was talking to her about a few months ago. Serenity couldn't tell. She sent him a questioning stare at his strange outburst, as if expecting him to explain further.

However, it seemed that explanation would have to wait as they were soon surrounded by a pack of demons that seemed to already have claimed this location.

"That's no good. It looks like this place is taken." Ren mumbled under her breath, taking the time the apparent leader was taking to speak to look them all over. They really didn't seem to have much on them and didn't seem all that special. Probably just hoodlums from this part of the city. Hopefully they wouldn't be too much of a hassle.

"Are you mentally incapable of finding ideal targets?" Serenity wondered out loud, questioning the leader in return. "Do we or anyone in this area look like we have anything to give? It would be smarter to go after the cleaner areas of the city. There should be some good loot there." She advised them politely, blatantly unaware of the threat in front of them.

Sadly, the leader didn't take kindly to this advice and seemed to grow tense in response. Ren took notice of his balled fists and angered features and finally put two and two together. They were being mugged!

As she came to that realization, she narrowly had time to dodge an incoming bolt of electricity zigzagging its way in her direction. Sliding over to the left, it just missed her. She hadn't even had the time to breathe a sigh of relief when she felt her body stiffen and crumble to the ground, convulsing for a moment as a current of electricity ran through her. It felt like her back was on fire.

Slowly her mind made the connection that her tail had attracted the electricity like a rod and fried her in turn. Realizing this, she tried to reel her tail in but it wouldn't move, becoming nothing more than dead weight.

"Now see. If YOU weren't 'mentally incapable' of following easy directions, that wouldn't have happened." Using his fingers to quote her, the leader openly mocked her. An insult that flew over her head as she was too busy managing her pain to give them the time of day. The goons laughed and mocked her in turn, looking at the three as easy prey. It was made clear they'd take whatever they wanted once they were all incapacitated.

"Again. We do not have anything." Serenity repeated calmly, wracking her fried brain for a solution. If this group of demons felt comfortable doing such things during the day, crime must not be too uncommon here.

"These demons are better off dead." She came to this conclusion, giving the order to Kayden as she summoned her revolver and shot the nearest target in the head. They had come closer to take advantage of her moment of weakness but at that range, their skull had no chance of really protecting them. They had to be the weakest of the bunch. They appeared to be some kind of impish creature with red skin, horns, and a forked tail. What other demon would take advantage of someone who was down?

"Just take out whoever is left. If you follow, wear proper equipment." She quietly instructed him before she got back to her feet and dashed down the hall the imp on the ground came out of.

"What're you boneheads doing?! Follow her!" The leader pointed down the hall Ren ran down, five of the group of eleven followed along as instructed, leaving Kayden to deal with the six left over.
