Death Masks [Non-Canon]

Only for Lucifer to evade him once again as he leapt from the rooftop and sprinted into the fog. Jason's entire body shook in incomprehensible rage! Was this sinner taunting him!? Jason would have his head for this! His mother could always use some company after all. Leaping off the roof, Jason began to trudge after Lucifer...
This place gave him the creeps the longer he stuck around.

So much pain, so much suffering and death....It clung to this place like a noxious odor, the stench of all of Jason's victims and old sins inherent upon this cursed ground. No doubt it looked nicer by daylight, but at this point? He was essentially running in Jason's territory. And Lucifer had little doubt that the Revenant had power, here in his home court. Too many times to count, he had been forced to dive into the den of the monster he was hunting to fulfill his objective.

It was never better, each time he did so.

Anyway, how did this begin again? Ah...Right.

Her.

Another Yomi sighting, here. A blurry picture, taken on a dock as she oversaw a shipment to this organization that the little killer he snatched was once a part of. But he'd know that profile anywhere and so here he was. It was a small time smuggling operation, mostly old spellbooks and the like...Now? He knew what it was for. But he knew this organization, had been piecing clues throughout his various world-hopping. They were akin to spiders, weaving webs and remaining in their center. If they had an interest in this world, he knew it was nothing good...But he needed more.

More proof. More evidence of what they tried to do.

And so, he kept just ahead of where he sensed Jason.

And headed silently for the area the mercs were.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ah-Ah-Ah

Jason's machete hung idly at his side as he continued to stomp after Lucifer, ripping away at any undergrowth or branches that sought to impede his path. This blackhaired man was an intruder on his grounds and no doubt a sinner as well. He wouldn't escape Jason's righteous vengeance. His mother would have been quite disappointed in him if that was the case. But as Jason drew closer, he paused. He could hear rustling in the trees above.

Normally, he could have just chalked this up to little more than animals going about their business. Which would have been fine as far as Jason was concerned. Animals didn't bother him, he didn't bother them and everything seemed to work out fine. But this was too much noise and it sounded more clumsy than the nimble scurrying of a squirrel. Glancing around warily, Jason's one good eye scanned around the area. Were their other sinners here? Hiding just out of his line of sight?

Whatever the case may have been, they'd pay just as everyone else had who dared to venture into his home. Drawing his machete from it's sheath, Jason continued forward only to stop as he saw a familiar figure tied to a tree.

It was him, the man who had attacked him all that time ago!

Of course that had been a different Ghostface but given that Jason hadn't seen either Roman or Mickey without their masks, it didn't make much difference to him. Stepping forward curiously, Roman struggled against his binds.

"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit! L-Look Jason, it wasn't me that tried to hurt you! That was my boss and his partner! I-I'm just an errand boy! But their are people here who want to hurt you! Bad people!" Roman exclaimed in a desperate attempt to save his own skin. Jason would have cleaved Roman in two from the head downwards but the mention of other people caught his attention. So his hunch had been right after all, huh? There were other sinners here and they were apparently waiting for him. Did that mean that this one had simply been bait to draw him out?

Snickering as quietly as possible so as not to alert Jason, Preston motioned to his men who were indeed hiding up in the trees to ready their guns. Jason was right in their sights and soon they'd bag him and ship him across the Pacific. That was of course unless a certain dhampir had something to say about it.

Lucifer from his hiding place exhaled slowly....And his eyes flickered briefly as a thick fog began to roll in. Command of certain elements of the weather was a specialty of his blood, as he moved to hide what was to come. And in that brief pause, he'd leap quietly to the Ghostface he came with, cutting him free and shushing him before leaping with him away as he slung him over his shoulder.

Leaving Jason in the middle.
