Guardians of the Altar
Dawn and Dusk

The Kealu Region
A quad-island region located on the other side of the globe from Aquias and Epica.
Kealu makes a vibrant home to every pokémon known to man. *Inspired by and based on Pokémon Sun and Moon*

Professor Lewie
Kealu's lead professor, and realm analyst/retired naval architect.
Lewie helped design the underwater League, and he is curious of Ultra Space.

Ke'oa – The starting island for pokémon trainers, and a home to many neighborly islanders. Ke'oa is an island of soft white and pink beaches with bioluminescent waves and tree top houses. The Pokemon School is found here in Leiluahu town, along with wonderous caverns and a fossil restoration campsite. Twisting flower jungles wind across the island, and steep canyons break through the land on the southeast side. At the west side of Ke'oa is a volcano which resembles an old tribal war shield. Yekueze city, at the north end of Ke'oa, features a mountainside shopping district and a spiraling observatory. A spectacular, misty falls with reflected rainbows can be visited at the edge of the city which attracts many tourists.

Ichiki – A petite island of spiky mountains and black pebbled beaches. The cliffside village of Okalae line around the edges of Ichiki, and the deadliest pokémon roam upon the deserted lands above. Giant hives of peculiar designs are located in various places across the island, and contain different species of bug pokemon. An enormous impact crater can be seen on the wastelands of Ichiki, which takes up a third of it's mass. Columnar basalt clusters beautifully surround an age-old volcanoe that lies inactive on a southern isle where dragon pokémon love to challenge one another. The rest of Ichiki is hooded beneath an extensive sea cave where the bravest explorers may venture.

Wanu'au – Clouds of black smog invade the skies of Wanu'au with lightning flashes from a dirty thunderstorm orginating at the active ring of volcanoes. Elevated at the south end of the charred island is a glittering metallic forest which is proposed to have been shaped by psychic pokemon. Alien-like flora make up the vegetation of Wanu'au, and some islanders believe it was once visited by beings from space. In the hills are endless marshlands which loop around Wanu'au and keep any wild fires at bay. At the summit of the highest moutain in the region is Keukelo town, a moutaintop village which is protected from the treacherous volcanoes below. An infamous Battle Isle is located near Wanuáu, where trainers brutally battle against each other.

Leoluna – Kealu's carnival city on the water, Lunavere, exists here. Elaborate canoes transport the citizens to either side of the divided, spirited city. Beaches of silver and yellow sands are found on opposite ends of Leoluna. At the island's center is the Altar of Dawn and Dusk where islanders express thanks for the recurring nights and days. The island's name is derived from Solgaleo and Lunala, the legendaries that were reported to have been sighted upon Leoluna. Just beyond the shores of Leoluna is the underwater League where trial goers journey to, to compete against the most skillful champions in the region. In Soleora town is the Wailord Submarine station that runs from Leoluna to Ke'oa and all the islands in between. Also in Soleora, are extravegant meadows and a massive community garden with thousands of island plants that soak up the glorious sun.

Team Joker
A creepy clown team that terrorizes innocent inhabitants throughout the region.
The team's sinister motives are mysterious to the islanders.

Ultra Legendary (visual here)
A supreme entity from Ultra Space that is released from the final wormhole, and then seeks dominion over the islands.
Teams of power pokémon, with the aid of a special relic, is the only way to vanquish the chaotic beast for good.

Trial Captains
Lealah – The flirty firedancer with a fiery soul which complements the typing of her pokémon.
Quilliam – A dramatic youth who is obsessed with theatre and enjoys time with his family of fairies.
Tyroc – A zealous islander who cares greatly about nature and honoring the sun which nourishes his grass types.
Nessa - The zestful entertainer who adores astronomy and the night sky which suits her trial pokémon.

Kahunas
Mialee – The chill Kahuna who's unmissable passion seems to sparkle in her eyes like ice.
Zycrus - An artistic Kahuna who's expressive ideas flow through his brain like venom in the veins.
Roccoro – The intense Kahuna who's imagination soars like wings through the wind.
Akehlu – A crafty Kahuna who loves to trap her challengers like a moth in a perilous web.

Other Important NPC's
Mirasole – An admired Ringmaster in Leoluna who is famously known across Kealu, and is Nessa's highest competitor.

The League info (for those who haven't played Sun & Moon):
A trainer must complete all the island trials created by the Trial captains, and defeat each Kahuna, in order to challenge the Elite Four at the Kealu League. After defeating the League, you must face off against the current champion in hopes to become the newest Champion of Kealu.

Nessa (Appearance)

Age
Fourteen

Birthplace
Lunavere City

Personality
The daring, exuberant tomboy and older sister of Lyle. Nessa's interest lies on explosive performances with marvelous sights, and she believes to one day bring Lyle's dream circus to life. She is nurturing toward her brother, but she mainly tries to teach Lyle how to take care of himself. Nessa is hardly afraid of risks and she is actively curious of dangerous performance acts. She likes to hype up her pokémon often, and she playfully pushes them to be their very best.

Behind the scenes, Nessa can sometimes be emotionally unstable due to a tragic revelation, but she nearly always sees the light in a dark situation. On the downside, she can be quick-tempered and reckless concerning her desires and decisions. Nessa's passion for performing can cause her to become obsessed with certain techniques as well, and she can get jealous easily of competition. Regardless, Nessa is normally a lively, venturesome spirit with an altruistic heart.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Nessa is talented at remembering details (specifically of other coordinator's performances). She uses her keen attention to detail to her advantage, so that she can borrow ideas and put her own spin on certain performance techniques. She's also good at incorporating her performance skills into battles. Nessa has great showmanship potential and she has the needed drive.

As a weakness, she can be sloppy with her personal belongings and she loses things far too often. She is also impatient and picky, and she seems to frequently attract chaos. Additionally, her personal worries can be overwhelming at times and she can have a fragile focus when in a funk. However, her vitality prevails and she fights to keeps her head up in the face of any adversity. One of her biggest fears are spider pokemon, but she won't let anyone know that.

History and Present Life
Nessa enjoyed a happy childhood and she shared a close bond with her parents. Her father was a famous astronomer who studied the galaxies above and researched creatures called the UB. Nessa's mother was a spectacular dancer who was idolized by many throughout Kealu. Nessa loved to star gaze with her family every night and to practice dancing with her mother beneath the early morning sun. Everything felt perfect to her until her mother died from child labor on the eve of Nessa's seventh birthday. That same day, her baby brother Lyle was born to the world and for a long while Nessa had mixed emotions about his birth.

As they grew older, Nessa fell in love with Lyle and she couldn't get enough of his infectious personality. She enjoyed taking Lyle to the beach and building sand castles with him and their father. But with another sad day, came the news that shattered everything for Nessa. Her father became fatally ill and she and Lyle were left alone in the world without a home. At the age of ten, Nessa had to raise her three-year-old brother with the help of the community of Leiluahu on Ke'oa island. As she grew up, Nessa became well-liked by the locals and she was even granted the position of Trial captain on one of the islands.

Lyle (Appearance)

Age
Seven

Birthplace
Soleora Town

Personality
The sweet and joyous baby brother of Nessa. Lyle loves to collect different kinds of things and play pretend with his favorite pokémon dolls "Dragnite" and "Poreon." Little Lyle is mostly oblivious to mature issues and only wants to play and enjoy himself at any chance he can. He's obsessed with real life pokémon and wants to make friends with them all if he can. Lyle can't resist a good hiding place and his favorite snacks are muffins and jelly beans.

Lyle tells stories sometimes over silly things, so that he won't get in trouble. However, his weak fibs are obvious as he stutters when he isn't telling the whole truth. He hates to be tickled, but his sister can't resist doing so sometimes when he's feeling down. His cheery laugh is contagious and he likes the attention unless a pokémon is present. Lyle shares a loving bond with his sister, Nessa, and she takes care of him like the parent he never had. He loves the circus and he is gleeful of the news of getting his very own circus someday.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Lyle has a vivid imagination and inspires new ideas within his sister more than he knows. He is good at hiding, and went a whole day without being found by his sister which got him in big trouble. Lyle always needs to have a snack handy or he can get fussy, and he's easily swayed by tempting sweets. Lyle can be too trusting, which leaves him vulnerable to deception.

He is also highly dependent on his sister, and without her he feels lost. Additionally, Lyle can be forgetful due to his selective memory. His least favorite part about the circus are the clowns (which occasionally appear at the shows), and they happen to be a fear of his. However, his love for the pokémon performers and amazing acts is far stronger than his fear of the rainbow wigged beings (if they aren't too close).

History and Present Life
Lyle grew up without knowing his biological mother, but he's always been a cheery child regardless (because he was too young to know about death). His father is in his early memory, but only as a smiling person who was around him that made him feel good and then was gone. It wasn't long after when he just had his sister Nessa who has always been there, and he nearly considers her to be his mother. Being a toddler, he never really understood why that man (his dad) never came back. There was an empty feeling within Lyle that lasted that he couldn't explain, but it eventually faded enough. Nessa seemed very different after that person disappeared, but she still played with him, so that made him happy. He also felt something different though that he didn't like (sensing the sadness from his sister) - but Lyle always tried to cheer her up without really realizing it.

Years passed and Lyle noticed that Nessa began to look brighter and more people were around them with happy faces. Lyle thinks of the islanders as his family, and doesn't realize that Nessa is the only real family he actually has. He loves his sister a lot and he likes to know where she is at all times. He also likes to explore the beaches of Ke'oa and meet new pokémon as well as trainers at the Pokémon Academy. Lyle wants to be like his sister one day (a trial captain) and to own a pokémon friendly circus like he was promised. Even though he isn't old enough to be a trainer yet, he still befriends smaller pokémon occasionally and Nessa lets him play with her own when she isn't in a battle or practicing for an act.[/spoili]

[/Spoili]

Age:
16

Birthplace:
Yekueze City, Ke'oa Island, Kealu Region

Personality:

Quinn is an easygoing trainer, perhaps a bit too easygoing sometimes, as he prefers to laze about looking into the sky most of the time. No matter how crazy a situation gets, Quinn keeps a calm composure, though he may feel some turmoil inside. He comes off as a bit stoic in social situations, but does his best to make friends all the same with those he meets. Those who earn his trust usually find a caring and understanding friend to look towards.

Whenever he undertakes an investigation, Quinn's personality lights up. He becomes super focused on the investigation, sometimes to the ignoring of other factors. Often, he will follow the first instinct he has in a case until it has become obvious that it was not the solution. Unfortunately, his overactive imagination tends to lead him astray; he often conjures up a fanciful explanation for the crime, but ignores most of the more mundane explanations that are often true.

When not on the job, Quinn likes listening to his classical tunes on his (rather outdated and beaten up) CD player. He also keeps an extensive collection of rocks, though not rock Pokemon. When it comes time to eat, Quinn often makes his own meals, quite good ones too according to some.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

Despite his chosen profession of private investigator, Quinn is actually rather bad at the job. His imagination typically leads him astray into following a completely silly lead. Worse, he tends to disregard people's attempts to steer him away from these ideas with a dismissive "Hah!". If he finds the correct path at all, it is because of his Pokemon assistants poking him in the right direction. Additionally, while he hides it well he can be rather envious of other's successes at times, due to a lack of confidence in himself.

His fears include a considerable case of claustrophobia. While he can take buildings fine so long as he's not cooped up too long, if he finds himself in a cramped space he is prone to panic. He tends to dislike Rock Pokemon, due to some unspecified reason that has nothing to do with his rock collection.

Curiously, even though he is easily led astray by his own thoughts, attempts to lead him astray tend to backfire more than not. Behind his fanciful imagination lies a fair bit of intelligence, and once he does get the hint, he is relentless in pursuing it. He is also surprisingly observant, assuming he is looking for the right thing. As a result of some training in karate class, he knows how to defend himself quite well, not enough to take perpetrators out himself, but enough to keep him from being knocked out easily. Throughout his trials, he takes things calmly, and with a good dose of humility.

History and Present Life:

Quinn's life has been a mostly quiet one, living with his family in Yekueze City. He has two little brothers that he hangs out with regularly, under a caring mother and father. At the age of 10, he was given his first Pokemon by his father, a cute little Pikipek. Pikipek is a special Pokemon to Quinn, and he treats Pikipek as a member of the family. For most of his life, he was simply taught as a typical child.

One day, however, something happened that changed Quinn's life. When he was about 11 years old, one of his neighbors had his Whimpod stolen by a nefarious thief. The thief was such a mastermind that nobody could figure out who it was, not even the police. Just when the case was about to go cold, a famous private investigator of the region, Richard Strauss, came to town. In the matter of a few days, he managed to find the culprit, bring him to justice, and even got the man's Whimpod back. Quinn had interacted with the investigator several times, and was inspired by the man's work. In fact, he was so inspired that he decided that he would follow in Richard's footsteps and become a private investigator as well.

Soon afterwards though, his family decided to move to Leiluahu Town for reasons Quinn still is not aware of. He presumes that they moved to the town for a lower crime rate, as the Whimpod stealing was one of a long string of burglaries. For a few years, Quinn trained himself, trying to become an investigator, but has met many obstacles to his dream, not least of which his parents trying to get him to find a real job. Finally, at the age of 16, his parents got fed up, and decided to send Quinn to Trainer's School in order to get him to decide what to do with his life. While Quinn is not too pleased with the situation, he has decided to make the most of his experience.

Name:
Gabriel Knight

Appearance:

b8113558555326c4e777192cc22b26a6.jpg

He's about 5 feet 4 inches tall (~1.6 meters I think), and thin. He has hazel eyes. While he dresses for the weather, he'll always wear his orange bandana that he had when he came to the Kealu region.

Age:
16

Birthplace:
Snowpoint City, Sinnoh

Personality:

Although he came from a rather withdrawn city, Gabriel is a very sociable person, if not a little awkward. He enjoys being with groups of people, and he is more than willing to drop everything at a moment's notice in order to help a friend in need. He is extremely dedicated to his work, and is prone to losing himself in it should he become too focused on it. He is typically a fun-loving and energetic person.

He likes working on his film, although he's never actually been sure what he wants to film until now. He enjoys friendly competition, and may at times turn things into competitions needlessly. He's also a big fan of dance (such as ballet), and while he doesn't do it himself, it is still somehow incorporated into his movement (toe-stepping and spinning on the balls of his feet, for example).

He dislikes conflict (especially if it is between people he likes or if someone shows a strong dislike for him), and will often hide from it through his work rather than actively face the issue. He also dislikes being alone, and he finds heavy silence unsettling.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

He's not very physically strong. At all. The most heavy lifting he ever did was carrying firewood home for the fireplace, so the most he could lift is probably around 40 pounds. He couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. He has a poor immune system, and gets sick rather easily.

He's observant and makes an effort to learn from previous mistakes. If allowed to film battles, he will do so so that he can see where he may have messed up and see what kind of strategy his opponent used so he may adapt in case the situation should happen again. Due to his movement habits, he walks quickly and quietly, and has a bad habit of surprising people by unknowingly sneaking up behind them.

He is afraid of suffocating. Rock falls and avalanches always put him on edge because he's afraid he will be buried alive. He is also afraid of being lost.

History and Present Life:

Gabriel grew up in Snowpoint City with his parents. His parents were kind and open minded; they allowed him to explore his interests, as long as they weren't a danger to himself or others. Due to the isolation of the town, it would have been a little difficult for him to leave at the age of ten to begin a Pokemon adventure. Instead, he stayed and helped out at home and around the community. He did manage to befriend a Drifloon at a young age after it tried to carry him off. This happened on several occasions, and it eventually turned into a game between the two of them until Gabriel was finally able to scrap together his savings so he could buy a Pokeball and catch it.

He received a camera for his twelfth birthday, and he was very excited to begin documenting life in Snowpoint City. The issue was that Snowpoint was a rather small town, and it got too repetitive for the twelve year old rather quickly. He then turned to filming just outside of town.

When he was sixteen years old, Gabriel was caught outside in a blizzard while filming the local wild Pokemon. Gabriel was caught unprepared, and while trying to navigate his way home through the snowstorm, he was brought through an Ultra Wormhole to the Kealu region.

He was found wandering the beach by an old fisherman, who was obviously concerned for the warmly dressed teenager walking along the beach. He had no memory of who he was or how he got there, and his camera's memory had been wiped clean, so there was no way to draw clues from there. The fisherman offered to let Gabriel stay at his home for the time being, which at first Gabriel was happy to accept. After some time, he decided decided it would be a good idea to go out on his own adventure, rather than taking advantage of the fisherman's kindness by staying at his home for too long.

He dreams of documenting his adventures as a Pokemon Trainer, and hopes that through it he can strengthen the bonds between people and Pokemon.

Desired Team:

Cyndaquil Line - "Monty" - Male
Cyndaquil is a very timid Pokemon. In fact, it is extremely skittish, and always ready to flee at a moment's notice. Gabriel hopes that if he works with it enough it'll be a great and powerful fighter one day. But if not, that's cool too, he'll find a way make it work.

Drifloon Line - "Friday" - Female
Drifloon is a little too curious for its own good. It may come off as a bit "air-headed" at times, but it means well and wants to be able to help, even though Gabriel hasn't given it much thought aside from using it as a cute travel companion. She is one of the few connections he has from before he lost his memory.

Eevee (Jolteon) - Female
Mudbray Line - Male
Deino Line - Female
Vulpix Line (Alolan) - Male

Name: Cleo Palmer

Appearance:

a63a79ba6e3b808b972f381bfd00c3dddf55bbe3_hq.jpg

Cleo has a bit of a natural tan going on.

Age: 17

Birthplace: Castelia City, Unova

Personality: Cleo is a girl that likes adventure and loves to explore, with big dreams and imagination to spare she likes to believe that with friends and Pokemon at her side she can do anything she sets her mind to. At times she can get bored of things easily or just lose interest in something. Be it a fashion trend or a phase she's going through one thing she'll never bore of is exploring the unknown and meeting new people and Pokemon to befriend.

At times she tries not to get very emotional over what she may deem a trivial matter, but is quick to grow angry and upset if one of her Pokemon or friends get injured or ganged up on by others. She loves seeing nature and the beauty in it. She hates when others make fun of her height and dislikes when others act extremely full of themselves.

Cleo loves to take photographs and draw in her spare time, occasionally drawing her Pokemon while they sleep or snapping photos of them as they play or maybe a photo of the scenery on a very nice day. She's no professional photographer, but she can take some decent photos for sure.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Cleo is pretty short for one her age at 4'11 but is much stronger than one would think, she's willing to help others when in need and would gladly jump in front of a raging Tauros for them if necessary.

Sometimes she can be seen lost in thought or is so tired she moves at a snail's pace. Her sense of direction is, at times, horrid and she has a slight fear of heights. Cleo fears being completely and utterly alone and lost without her Pokemon or friends to turn to, she also has a fear of bug Pokemon--more specifically ones that resemble spiders. Otherwise, they're alright and she might find some bug Pokemon cute as long as they don't get too close.

History and Present Life: born as the second child of four that belonged to two loving parents, Cleo was very happy living in Castelia City. Her and her older brother Giovanni would explore any chance they got as long as someone supervised them. When she turned ten, Cleo and her brother had left their babysitter at the time in the dust, eventually finding themselves at the sewers. The two usually snuck off to play there whenever they saw the opportunity but for some reason the Pokemon were agitated that day, to the point where even the most friendliest of Rattata there attacked them.

Luckily the two were able to escape but not without a few nasty scratches on Cleo's left arm and a bite mark along her brother's leg. They weren't allowed back and her brother eventually decided not to go on a journey and find something else to do with his life that wouldn't involve a lot of contact with Pokemon. As for Cleo, she stayed home for a few years, but eventually grew bored of the city and wanted a change in scenery, so her Parents suggested she finally start her journey in an exciting new place and gave her Charmander as a gift and companion to accompany her and make sure she stayed safe.

Though on the way to another region through boat she ended up going through an ultra wormhole unexpectedly, her boat arriving in Kealu, a region different than what she had planned to go to, but she didn't know this, as her memory had been scrambled and messed with in the process.

Lani

U'ilani Tamaeva

Sun | Sunshine

Age 15

Birthplace Leiluahu, Ke'oa.

Personality

Lani was born free spirited, the most prominent trait of both her parents; like her father, she's as restless as the sea; like her mother, she's an unconventional fire in whatever she pursues. Although a bit too head strong, with a bark just as bad as her bite, Lani is a natural leader -- courageous, honest, and adept with improvising. She doesn't come off as gentle as she can be, nor do people accurately associate her tendency to be quiet with the fact she is a bit shy and more so easily flustered. She uses her head far more than her heart, and is not very trusting; Lani is, however, a loyal friend with some decent wisdom for a kid, though she probably isn't the one you want to go to for girl talk or heart to heart chats. Lani values honesty and genuineness above all else.

Strengths

Courageous -- not easily intimidated, probs led a revolution in her past life, easily the arm to hold in a haunted house.
Wise -- you won't find her in many sticky situations, nor is she prone to making the same mistake twice.
Problem Solver -- a bit of a kill joy, but has the best solutions.

Weaknesses

Harsh -- on herself, and everyone else. Her bark is one to be avoided.
Emotionally Immature -- feelings get you into bad situations! what even is intimacy!
Guarded -- quick to be on the defensive, first one to cry.

Talents

‣ Dancing (Rhythm, musically inclined)
‣ Navigating (Natural sense of direction)
‣ Animal training & grooming

Inabilities

‣ Cannot swim
‣ Cannot cook
‣ Allergic to pinap berries

History and Present Life

Her surname is well respected on Ke'oa, tribe tales have it that Tamaeva was a queen of the islands way back when, and Lani's grandmother insists the girl is some sort of princess; there is an ongoing feud between many families, but her family specifically is (allegedly) the sole heir to quite a chunk of the island. Of course, it's just some of the elders that bicker about this, no one Lani's age even listen to the old stories anymore and it does not get her discounts so she remains mildly interested.

Other than some rumored lineage, Lani's life hasn't been too extreme. Her mother was a big time hula dancer, her father a sailor; while she was raised by the woman, who has long since retired but is still well known in their community for her impressive connection to their roots, her father sailed away before she was born, and has never been heard from again. She spent most of her years being her mother's only friend, which led to her being a bit sheltered, mentally older and distrusting of others after watching how her father's departure affected the woman so much; how her mom reacted so poorly emotionally though, is why Lani tries to be the logical one of the group nowadays. Life in her town was always low key and relatively boring, she spent a lot of her time avoiding family reunions, window shopping in the district and failing to join her many, many cousins in dancing lessons (though unbeknownst to most, when alone, she dances beautifully just like her mother). She instead was one of the first to gain entry to the academy, and while no one in her family really knows what the could mean or what the point of it is, Lani is quite excited to be away and trying something different.

Lani has an eevee from a purebred litter,
of whom she is taking along with her to the academy. She's battled only a little, but is quite talented; Lani has spent a solid two years raising the pup to perform in local pet shows, explaining her behavior, talents and her being on the cover of Leiluahu Magazine from winning a handful of small time pet contests.

Erin Donnelly (Appearance)

Age: 15

Birthplace: Okalae Village

Personality:

She's a pacifist and doesn't like to see people get hurt. This can sometimes make situations worse, as she dislikes using Pokemon if they stand to be in danger (for example, instead of using her Fearow to help a traveler dangling off a cliff, she's the type to climb down herself - potentially making things worse). As she's never really been involved in a Pokemon battle as well, Erin can be a bit naive when it comes to things like leagues, trainers, and champions. She doesn't understand why people would use Pokemon to fight each other.

This pacifist nature also blends into her inability to really stand up for herself. Years of following orders from her parents has led to her being somewhat of a doormat. She's a follower, not a leader. However, this doesn't mean that she will follow someone blindly. She's human, after all. When Erin feels that something is wrong, she will most likely run from the problem. However, should one of her friends get threatened, Erin's more than capable of letting herself take the blow instead (note that she doesn't think of actually fighting back).

Erin's needy for attention and likes to think that she'd like people. Due to her rather limited social upbringing, however, Erin's not all that great at actually making friends. She freezes up far too often for her own liking (not because of fear, like her mother, but because of not knowing what to actually say). Erin's prone to falling for scams and the like due to her lack of experience.

She's hard-working and often gets stressed out if things don't pan out her way. She's a little bit of a perfectionist and even the slightest details can cause her to get upset. At the same time, however, she doesn't really take out her anger on other people. Inanimate objects are the main focus of her frustration and Erin ripping apart a poorly drawn map is not an uncommon sight.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

Erin's main weakness is her inability to stand up to people. Due to this, she tends to flee quite easily from most conflicts. However, should one of her Pokemon get into a dangerous situation, Erin's more than okay with letting herself get hurt in stead of her Pokemon.

Tying in to her rather docile nature, she's also very determined to complete whatever task she's given. As of right now, it's redrawing her parents' ruined maps.

She's better at connecting to Pokemon than she is with people but she doesn't really have an interest in actually catching them. Due to her lack of experience actually talking to people, she's easily led astray and taken advantage of. The most she's really done is drone off prepared speeches to potential buyers of her parents' maps.

Erin has a rather creative nature that's shut down during times of stress. She doesn't really cope well with dangerous/otherwise stressful situations and she often looks to others for guidance. Due to her spending much of her time in dark crevices as her parents' mapping assistant, Erin also dislikes dark, crowded places.

History and Present Life:

Erin was born in Okalae Village of Ichiki Island. Her parents were hobbyist cartographers who often provided amateur maps for the Kealu Region. Erin was more of an afterthought; a small accident after a heavy night of drinking (her parents had been commissioned by a tourist company). Despite her somewhat unplanned birth, her parents tried as best they could to fit her in with their busy schedule. As Erin grew up, her parents began to incorporate her help more and more into their mapping expeditions. It was an easy way to keep track of her whereabouts while working on their jobs.

Erin was slowly promoted from carrying parchment to sharpening pencils to labeling locations. She didn't really have any friends but she wasn't that lonely - her parents' Pokemon were company enough. Still, sometimes Erin found herself wishing that she could go play with other children from time to time - not that her parents ever seemed to notice. No, they were too busy asking her to fill this in or that. Her small frame allowed her to enter the nooks and crannies they couldn't, which was useful in mapping out the shortcuts and hidden pathways which separated their maps from the rest.

When she turned fifteen, Erin was sent to Soleora Town with a portfolio of their work to showcase to the government. Her parents hoped to rid themselves of freelance work and to become hired professionals. Her father would have gone himself but he'd gotten too fat for his Fearow to carry, whereas her mother had a deadly fear of speaking to strangers. Erin was the only choice left - and she found herself a little happier for it. Perhaps now was the time to meet new people.

However... on her trip to Soleora Town, Erin was met with heavy winds which sent the inexperienced rider and her father's Fearow plunging to the depths below. Although she survived the incident, her parents' maps were not so lucky. She found herself washed up on the shores of Ke'oa with her Fearow nowhere in sight. Erin took a week to orient herself and spent much of her time in the local Pokecenter to recover from her ordeal. It was during this week she met a stray Poochyena on the outskirts of town. Although she hasn't actually caught the Pokemon, it's taken to following her around. Erin's had thoughts of purchasing a Pokeball to store it in but for now, she has more important matters at hand. Besides, she doesn't really like the idea of keeping the Poochyena in a Pokeball anyway.

With the deadline for the showcase arriving soon, Erin is now frantic to redraw the maps to restore her parents' chances at a stable job. Then, she needs to get to Soleora Town to present the drawings to the government official there. On top of all that, she's desperately on the search for her father's Fearow. She often spends her days in Leiluahu Town holding up a sign reading, "Have you seen a Fearow? May be injured!".

Aureus Kahleo

Picture

17 years old

Kealu region

Kahleo was birthed in a rainy jungle on some distant isle. His deranged mother had wandered into the wilderness in search of her own shadow. She gave birth to him there in a mud hole and left him there to drown. Kahleo' s father is unknown to him, but rumor has it that he was a treacherous pirate. A kind venturer found Kahleo as a baby while seeking refuge from the blustering storm. Neahe is an avid chronicler in Leluahu town who raised him at her treehouse.

As a youngster, he volunteered at the Pokemon daycare as a life guard to the Pokemon. He didn't care a lick of what other kids thought of him and the smaller ones would look up to him. There came a day when he had to rescue a air headed psyduck from a discarded fishing net. He was able to free the duck, but was snagged by a hungry Sharpedo. Luckily his leg was left in tact and he was able to wop the relentless shark on the nose to send it on its way. The commotion in the ocean had caused him to cut his eye on a reef. He has both the scar on his leg and eye from that misfortunate day.

He sets out on a journey to become a Kahuna or somethin. He delayed his journey, because he had been living aimlessly without the value of a purpose until now. His chance encounter with one of the Kahunas inspired him to pursue the title. But he doesn't take it that seriously. He goes with the flow and sees what happens. Worry-less and happy that way.

Carefree dude
Sly and Unapologetic

Keeps a smile and protects what he favors
Goes his own way and follows no rules

A good Samaritan
Savage when necessary

Periods of laziness
Zero patience

Pleasure seeker
Kind of nuts

Kahleo spends a lot of time in the ocean flipping, swirling, and exploring. He camps out on the beaches and tests the biggest waves when it's a good day to surf. The sea is his life and he enjoys hosting barbeques at his homemade seashack. He has a collection of personal treasures in a sea cave somewhere near his home.

Don't cry on his shoulder. He'll stand there awkwardly and give you some pats on the head unsure what to say.
He'll then give you a tissue for your issue and tell you to man up.

When he doesn't like what you do, he'll let ya know. He gets bored fairly easily and it's hard to persuade him. Don't expect him to win over your attention or to treat you special. If he does like you, you'll know it.

"I'm not a very 'flow like water' person, thank you very much."

Diana of Undina

Gender:
Female

Age:
15

Appearance:
She is about 1.5 metres tall and has a less-than-average, thin build and flat, curveless appearance. Her eyes are blue, much like the ocean. At the end of her thin legs are her bare feet. That's fancy for 'she doesn't wear shoes'.

Hometown:
Undina Archipelago

History:
The Undina Tribe of the Undina Archipelago. No one knows where it is. No one but those who live there. It is said that the Undina Tribe are graceful, elegant and beautiful. They are said to use Water-type Pokemon in a most skillful manner. The Undina Tribe was thought to be a myth, a legend recorded only in books.

You might change your mind when you see Diana. She looks beautiful, but this kid is anything but elegant, graceful or skillful. And she doesn't use Water-type Pokemon either.

Diana was raised to be graceful and elegant like the waters that filled the area. However, she didn't like the ways and felt that it suppressed her, preventing her from becoming stronger. The Undine tribe believed that elegance was key to victory, but Diana begged to differ as she swam away from home with her buddy Tynamo and two other Pokemon. She wanted to find her own way of battling.

She wanted to prove that she could do things her way, but can she?

So yes, she swam all the way from the mist-hidden Undina Archipelago to the tropical Kealu region, where she will find her match, unbound by tradition so that she can battle in the way she desires.

Personality:
Contrary to her graceful appearance, Diana is persistent and, as some may describe, grating. She is always working hard to get what she wants. Some say that she is a sore loser, and it isn't exactly false to say that she will never accept defeat with the way she is right now.

Diana is said to be stubborn in nature, and wants to believe that her way is the best way to go about matters.

Diana may act tough on the outside, but in reality, she just wants to be seen as strong and unmatched.

Likes:
Diana enjoys battling, and more importantly, victory.
Diana treasures her partner Pokemon very well, and to some extent, any friends she might have. If you asked who she'd save if both were drowning, she'd choose her friends, because her Pokemon can't drown.
Diana loves to explore and is very adventurous. She prefers the waters to the lands, but all is well either way.

Dislikes:
Diana's primary dislikes are losing, being belittled or mocked, and other things that make her feel inferior.
Diana doesn't like the ways of the Undina Tribe, believing that they are suppressing her true potential as a Pokemon Trainer.

Strengths:
Having been raised in a secluded Archipelago, she knows her way around oceans and to some extent, the wilderness. She has a strong sense of direction and memory, and has difficulty getting lost or forgetting promises.
She is very tenacious and loves to explore. It takes a lot more than a battle or three to beat down on her confidence.

Weaknesses:
Due to being raised by tradition, Diana doesn't know how to use technology, like, at all. She'll probably touch a few buttons before something explodes. This extends to other stuff, such as percieving glass panels as 'magic' and other hijinks.
She is not the brightest bulb.

Fears:
Deep inside, she fears admitting defeat, and even moreso when she's forced to do it, especially by someone like her mother.
She is somewhat afraid of her mother, mainly because her mother has put her in her place before despite her having two Pokemon with a type advantage, but that is, in no way, a reason for her leaving home.

Starting Team:
602.gif

Tynamo | Tynamo | Female | Levitate
Tynamo is Diana's main partner and ace. She boasts about how it has no weaknesses. The bond between Diana and Tynamo is very strong. Tynamo is the first Pokemon she has ever had - essentially her Starter Pokemon.

686.gif

Inkay | Inkay | Male | Contrary
A cherished friend of Diana whom she relies on to slam some pretty underhanded tactics. Inkay is a reminder that Diana isn't fond of rules.

crV9fHB.gif

Dhelmise | Dhelmise | Gender Unknown | Steelworker
This old bum is very defiant and doesn't want to listen to Diana's commands, much to her dismay. A shame, for Dhelmise is her primary powerhouse. Dhelmise would rather spend its days sleeping than battling.

Possible Future Team Members:
691.gif

Dragalge

Cradily_XY.gif

Cradily

12wad5m.gif

Dragonite

VzHhxHu.gif

Celesteela

Other Information:
The Pokeballs she has appear to be made from some sort of stone, and seem to be of magical properties. She claims that these are known as 'Runic Balls', and are popular amongst the Undina, Salamandras, Gnom and Sypheedus Tribes, whatever those last three are.

So I basically decided to rework Lavender a little bit, still the same concept but changed a few things from the CS.

Lavender Ristelle

Original Outfit:
3f36e5ad0d9ad398417aa043500783a2.jpg

Thief Outfit: The heister uniform is pretty standard: black slacks, light blue shirt, navy hooded cape, a cloth face shield, grey leather boots, and black satin gloves

Age: 16

Birthplace: Kalos

Personality: Depending on whether or not she's in costume, she'll have two different personalities she tries to use.

Normal Self: Lavender is quite bubbly and enjoys talking to others whenever she has the chance. She'll always offer help to anyone who needs it, even if it's someone who's been an enemy for so long. She is friendly and playful with her pokemon and doesn't mind having some fun with some of the wild pokemon around the island. She also has this radiation of beauty that stems off from her, inherited by her mother's charm. Most men (and some women) might be charmed by her good looks and cute personality.

Masked Self: Lavender dons a different personality when wearing her vigilante outfit. She is loud and carefree and doesn't restrict herself from being elegant. She bears justice in her heart and will complete a mission to her fullest. While Lavender will complete a mission, if the plan becomes either too violent or the missions becomes very suspicious, she'll change her plans in order to meet her expectations.

Every day, Lavender enjoys her long exercises outside of her home and challenges herself to be better every time. Lavender does loves eating any kinds of salads that she can find around the islands and recommending them to everybody if they are enjoyable. She mostly wears skirts or mini dresses as they make her feel beautiful. She's quite a bit of a bookworm, always reading at least two hours a day, may it be on culture, food, or just crime fighting stories. Lavender really enjoys going out for long walks, just to sightsee.

Blood is one thing Lavender truly fears, something about blood just causes her to lose her mind, unsure of why it bothers her too much. Most of the time, she closes her eyes or attempts to look at the other way. Also, seeing anyone getting hurt, may it be a human or a pokemon, makes her very scared. At least when she's not in her vigilante outfit. Although she is afraid of being founded out by someone and being reported for being a vigilante by an evil organization.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

Lavender's strengths involves her being quick on her feet and agile Thanks to her training, she is faster than most people and can quickly avoid incoming attacks with ease. Her aura of beauty is another good strength of hers, when others are distracted by her beauty, she can use it to barter and even stop people with what they are doing. She's also self taught in pokemon battle, as she tried it out a few times against other trainers, read about the many strategies on a book while on the beach, and did really good against the other trainers.

However, Lavender is too trusting for her own nature. Many people can use her gullible nature against her and use it for their own selfish benefits. She sometimes spaces out when she has nothing to do, which can cause her to lose focus on her important tasks. She's also a bit of a coward outside of her masked self and would run away to protect herself.

History and Present Life:

Lavender lives with her adopted mother in Kealu. She was unsure what happened to her parents due to possibly an amnesia she suffered when she was younger, or so she thinks. She helped out in a florist shop due to her love of flowers and got the know the majority of the civilians here in the town.

During her way back home one night, she noticed a young man being beaten up by someone in a mask. Disheartened by what she saw, she hid around the corner, not being able to do anything. Her fear overcame her and she fled the site. Since then, she blamed herself for being too weak and not helping the man out when he needed it the most. She decided she needed a change in her attitude.

She made a basic black outfit with the few months of practice in sewing and wore it outside of the house as she observed the town for any crime. For awhile, it seems the police had it handled and no crime was spotted. However, she found a incident near the beach of a woman being harassed by a masked criminal. She approached and attempted to stop the criminal, but was attacked almost instantly, surprising her. The fight went on for a bit and became dangerous, but Lavender was able to disable the criminal with just a punch to the arm.

The woman was thankful for the masked vigilante and told her to be careful since crime has been getting more dangerous around here. Lavender became aware and escorted the woman home. Since then, Lavender trained herself in order to strengthen her body and her reflexes to tackle any criminals that would wait in this town.

After taking down some criminals in the next few weeks, Lavender was contacted by the Twilight Lotus, an underground group of vigilantes that seeks out and ends any criminal organization threatening to put any harm of the islands. She met with them and joined as a undercover agent for them, hoping that the Twilight Lotus could use her to find out a certain organization's master plan and put an end to it. Since then, they've keep her and her adopted mother safe from harm and also gave her a better vigilante outfit so that she would appear as a threat to the other criminals.

After she returned home from work, she found and befriended a wild Bounsweet outside of her yard and took it in as her very first pokemon. The two got along very well and Lavender took care of her with upmost attention. It's been a struggle living as both a civilian and a vigilante for her as she has some problems getting a good night's sleep and being sore other days, but she always tries her best in order to take care of herself.

Character Name: Ajax
Appearance:
aa2611e4beb9cba39bb61d9ac4bfc89b.jpg

Age: 18

Birthplace: Hoenn

Personality:
Crude, tough, extremely competitive, but somehow surprises others by doing something nice for someone with no reason or alterior motive. In Many ways he seems like he cares when someone or something is in pain, which is why his fellow Team Joker members though he was soft. But he always put them in their place.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

Strengths:
He's a cunning strategist, able to read his opponent's and opponent's pokemon and react accordingly, even though he lost his original pokemon he's able to handle himself in battle quite well. He's very adept with almost every type but he does favor fighting types more. His competitive nature and meticulous care for his pokemon allows him to push them to the very limit. Outside of battle he's a skilled martial artist and very quick on his feet, he can fight off multiple assailants at once, at times will summon his pokemon to fight along side him, this is how he strengthens a bond between himself and his pokemon.

Weaknesses:
His competitive nature is a double edged sword, he hates defeat and will do anything to avoid it, if he sees that he's about to loose he wont shy away from cheap shots and low blows. His temper has also landed him on hot water in several occasions, he would sometimes sick his own pokemon against a judge or a referee in a sanctioned match should they penalize him. Luckily his pokemon outright refuse to attack another person. After a loss he'll go into a nihilistic depression and wont be, even a shadow of his former self for a while. When not in a pokemon battle his attitude will get him in trouble, he refuses to back down from any challenge no matter how impossible. Ultimately if the odds are stacked against him he will fail, but on he will push and march until he or his pokemon are in critical condition, his arrogance will often lead him and his pokemon to the hospital. This has gained him the distrust of his pokemon in more than one occasion. He's also been known to be a notorious womanizer and flirt.

History and Present Life:

Orphaned as a child, he had trouble finding a group of friends or anyone to call family, one day while he explored the town he lived in he found an abandoned torchic and riolu, he decided to start hanging out with them both, he grew very close to the two and they all became inseparable. To have some money to eat he began to battle random people all over for money and food. He slowly became very good at battling with a decent winning streak. Pretty soon he began to bite off more than he could chew and was often assaulted by bitter opponents, his pokemon however would not stand for this and would directly attack anyone who attacked him. He would do the same after a match or beat down and join them in the fight. He slowly gained a reputation for being a trouble maker, he would often be threatened to leave and chased out of towns in Hoen. Sick of this he got on a boat and sailed off to another region, there was a massive thunderstorm on his way to Kanto, the boat he was in crashed into the ocean and he woke up the next day in a new island. He looked around confused and though he must have accidentally been stranded unto Alolah. He had a run in with team Joker and challenged them to a battle, after basically one-shoting their toughest members the leader of team joker extended and invitation to him. Ajax accepted and joined them, he quickly became one of their fiercest fighters. He also caught the eyes of several ladies in the group. Including that of the boss' girlfriend. His growing ego has earned him the scorn of several team joker ladies who don't like sharing, but he kept at his old habits. One particular heist pulled on one of his heart strings, a little girl and his older brother had gone to the day care to pick up an egg. His squad jumped and assaulted them both, the older brother put up a fight but a fellow member named Kraven grabbed the egg and hit him over the head with it. The egg didn't break but it did crack, Ajax grew concerned as they ran from the scene about the pokemon in the egg. Even though his friend at the time said it was worthless and dumped the egg, Ajax still took it to a pokemon center after taking off his make up and costume to see if anything could be done about it. Luckily the egg was sealed and the pokemon inside would be OK. After this he began to question his alliance with team joker, sure they all grew up together but since he felt closer to his pokemon he didn't exactly approve of their methods of dealing with them. One night after he was caught by the boss with his girlfriend his pokemon were taken away and he was beaten into submission. When he woke up he knew it was time for a change, he dedicated his life to rescuing his Blaziken Enraiha and his Lucario Cierra. He quietly followed a few jokers back to their hang out, they had stolen a few pokemon eggs from the local day care. He called the police and ratted out their location but not after taking 3 eggs for himself. Once they hatched and he had made sure to hide from team joker, he started to groom and raise his new team to be as tough as his old friends. No Matter what it takes, he was going to get them back.

History and Present Life
Nova was born the youngest of 3 children. She is the only daughter of gym leader Blake of the Hoenn region and a champion contest winner Celia. She has a pair of twin older brothers, Leon and Jared. Being the youngest in her family and the only girl, Nova learned to be tough, sassy, and always demand her way. As a child, Nova was always raised around her parents pokemon. She always saw two different sides of pokemon, the beauty and the power.

As she grew up, Nova became attracted to the beauty of pokemon and their moves. She was enchanted by her mothers contest outfits and how she could command an audience by using her pokemon moves in such an elegant way. Nova saw little interest in battling pokemon and instead chose to become a contest star like her mother. And what better place to start her contest career then in the heart of Lilycove, her hometown.

Nova's father, not pleased that his youngest chose to do contests instead of battle, decided to convince her to take a break from the contest world and instead try to focus on training for battles instead. She agreed to try a new adventure and set off for the Kealu Region, where there was little to no chance of a contest distracting her.

Her father gifted her a Growlithe to take with her and to remember her family while she was away. Ivy believes its also suppose to protect her, which he does a very poor job at considering he has little respect for girl. Also joining her on her first adventure is her loyal Phanpy. She's not entirely sure what the new island region will bring, but she's excited to find out none the less.

Nova's second pokemon, acquired as a gift from her father, he is fierce and loyal.. just not to Nova. They have a long way to come as a team and a lot of bonding to do if Nova ever wants to use Growlithe in battle. He tends to do whatever he wants, especially if Nova asks him to do something.

Hobbies and Fears:
Kai loves to swim and enjoys diving in lakes, streams, the sea, no matter where or what as long as it is water you can find him playing in it. He enjoys being outdoors, enjoying nature and loves to explore. He is afraid of thunder storms and electrical fires due to the trauma of what he witnessed while younger, and if caught outdoors in a thunderstorm he will run to the nearest tree or something to be over his head, and will be unable to sleep if a thunder storm is happening. If he does end up falling asleep while there is a thunderstorm, he will have nightmares which will rob him of his energy and make him jittery upon waking.

Expanded Personality:
Kai is brave, often times rushing forth to the aid of somebody whom is in need, not caring of the situation or if it is appropriate. He also has a big heart, and will help most any one who is in need, feeling that even a small gesture holds deep meaning to those whom need it. His big heart extends to both people, and to pokemon both wild or tame, his big heart often however can get him into some trouble as he can grow emotionally invested in another people or pokemon.

Expanded Strength/Weaknesses:
Kai, with his brave nature and his big heart, will often run into even the most dangerous of situations even if it means sacrificing himself, he will dive head first into trouble to save another person or pokemon. He is a good battler, but he is even better at healing and patching up all kinds of wounds. Kai is always carrying medicine within a medicine pouch in the form of berries or potions, and he even keeps bandages for any wounds that a fellow trainer or another person may have. He learned all about roots, berries, and basically researched all the medicinal plants he could of all the islands, just in case he needs to use some to heal up himself or others in a pinch. However, he paid so much attention to the medicinal plants, he is not always a hundred percent certain if a plant that has no medical use is safe to eat or if it might poison those who eat it.

Expanded History:
Kai Cinders was born a healthy baby from Alia and Drevis Cinders, who had moved over from the main land all the way to Ko'oa to have him. His childhood was rather average to start, his mother cooking him meals, playing with him and his father trying to always teach him something new related to pokemon, something his mother would admonish him in a oddly playful way for as he was barely crawling at the time.

As he grew up, eventually waddling around, walking somewhat on his own, his mother and father would work a bit more, and it started being where he often only saw either his mother or his father most of the day. When he could walk, use the bathroom and dress himself decently.. his parents where often working, be it out of the house or at home.. and they where scrambling to put him into the school system. They wanted their darling son to have the best education they could get him after all.

They enrolled Kai in school, and a couple weeks into school.. the first disaster struck. While Kai was in school, a lightning storm on the island flowed over too close to the sandy beaches and Kai's home, his mother and father there, resting before they would have to get up and go pick him up. It was a bizarre freak storm, but lightning struck the house, and a fire started, lapping and trapping his mother and father inside as it burned away at the sides of the house.

His mother and father didn't make it, and some part of Kai had a bad feeling.. a feeling he thought he had before when his mother and father told him he simply had a bad dream, only this time it ate away at him as his mother and father failed to show up to pick him up. His teacher, concerned, gave him a ride home, and upon seeing the charred crumbling building, and those around the house tried to shield Kai from it all.

Kai scrambled out of the car, heart beating madly and his mind numbed while his gut twisted like that one night before, rushing over he managed to push through some people in time to see them recover his mother and father.. charred and curled togeather. A man noticing him rushed him away, having been their neibor the man recognised him as the son of the two, and tried to comfort Kai. Although it wasn't true.. Kai couldn't help but think that if he only had said something the moment that bad feeling came to him, or if maybe he had run home.. He might have saved his mother and father..

After the incident, Kai was sent to an orphanage, where he lived while he continued to go to school, growing older and older as no one quite wished to adopt him. Kai, while growing up, grew brave, and big hearted, sensitive to those around him as he didn't wish for anyone to feel the pain he felt that day, nor did he wish for anyone to continue to feel pain like that.

With school finally ending for him, Kai turned himself from the school, and looked to the sky, shuddering softly. The sky had taken those he loved from him, and it took all his effort to avoid their image from escaping his mind, but, despite how it took the two he loved most, the sky looked so pretty. He shook his head, running to the orphanage he grabbed his things, what few things he was given, and then he set off to obtain his first ever pokemon to start his journey.

Name
Kouji Stone

Age
15

Birthplace
Shamouti Island, Orange Archipelago

Personality

Kind - To anyone that speaks to him, Kouji is very kind and courteous. Always willing to help someone if asks, Kouji is a very selfless person as much as he can be.
Quiet - Despite his kindness, Kouji is very quiet, shy even. He rarely speaks unless spoken to, and even then it's in short little sentences or bursts. Because of his awkward shyness, most of the other students don't speak to him unless necessary.
Analytical - His quietness comes with a perk, however. Since people don't waste time talking with him, he can sit back and watch and observe. Little ticks people have or little quirks about them. So even if he doesn't know someone, he still knows them.
Understanding - Because of his analytical personality, he's a very understanding person and will be the last person in the world to judge you. He gets things, he gets people. Things happen, people are people, life goes on.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Smart - Kouji is a natural genius before schooling. He loved to read and study since he couldn't go out and play like all the other kids did. He read every book on the island and could probably recite them all from heart. However, he is very humble and isn't cocky in the slightest.
Eidetic Memory - Any piece of information he has heard, read or seen he can recite at the drop of a pin.
Strategic - His vast knowledge helps him with Pokemon battles and most things that require thinking. He can make plans and anticipate what will happen next with pinpoint accuracy.
Natural Trainer/Pokemon Affinity - Pokemon are naturally drawn to him and always have been since he was young. He never had kid friends, so he always had Pokemon to talk to. His kindness and sweet aura he seems to give off soothes and brings Pokemon closer to him.
-
Young - He is quite young and he appears even younger than he is, often getting treated like a child or a toddler by kids his own age.
Frail - Kouji is a very weak person. He has no physical strength whatsoever and seems to get hurt very easily. It doesn't take much for him to overexert and exhaust himself.
Sickly - Kouji has always been prone to sickness. The doctors say his immune system isn't the best, but that doesn't stop him and it won't stop him from going on an adventure with his Pokemon.
Lazy - Kouji is very lazy, his intelligence causing him to feel bored since he isn't being challenged at school. He almost never fully completes paper assignments because he gets bored with them halfway through and doesn't really care.

History and Present Life

Kouji Stone was born on the Shamouti Island in the Orange Archipelago. He lived there with his Father and Mother, his Father having been a respectable trainer who traveled the world a lot as a Pokemon Ranger and his Mother a nurse on the Island. Since Kouji was a very frail and sickly child, he never wanted or was able to go out and play with the other kids as much as they did. Despite living in a tropic archipelago, he always is in a state of feeling cold, hence his choice of dress. He rarely went outside, so he passed the time by reading everything he could get his hands on.

As the name suggests, he is the nephew of Steven Stone, the Champion of the Hoenn League. Kouji always admired his Uncle and wanted to be just like him when he grew up. Steven would often visit the family, growing quite close with Kouji in the process

On Kouji's 15th birthday, Steven made a surprise visit to the Orange Archipelago with a very special gift for Kouji. He came bearing an Egg. Kouji was absolutely ecstatic to eventually have his own Pokemon, but that wasn't all. Steven had arranged for the family to move to the Kealu region for Kouji to go to school and go on his own Pokemon adventure.

Not even a week later, with the help of the Machoke Movers, the family was moving to their new home. Kouji's mother had a job at a local Poke Center lined up and his Father would continue his Ranger duties when needed. On the ship to the Kealu region, however, there was a bright light and Kouji was sucked into an Ultra Wormhole before he could tell what was going on.

When he woke up, he was surrounded by trees in a very warm place. Nothing was broken, he had no scrapes or bruises and, thankfully, his Egg was still perfectly intact. As Kouji looked for some kind of civilization, he realized that he couldn't remember his family or where he was or what he was doing before he woke up. He knew his name and everything he learned, but the past was all a fog to him.

Eventually finding a town, he realized he was in the Kealu region on the Ko'ea Island. Without much to go on, Kouji found a place for kids with no parents to stay and he enrolled himself in the local school, figuring he ought to do something while he tries to remember his past.

[Just forget that voodoo stuff and you're golden]

Age
15?

Birthplace:
Kanto

Personality:

A suspicious, dispassionate boy who fears losing himself to the ultra-space again and respects no law, all traces of his past-self buried deep within him, only emerging in desires and the few close relationships he would allow. As a result of this isolated nature, he cares for his Pokemon intensely, both for their training and their well-being, and at times would rather go without food himself than watch them starve. He has no one else to love, you see. One to hold grudges eternally and take revenge with a venomous glee. He takes amusement in cruel jokes, a remnant of the childish adventurer that he once was.

Strengths and Weaknesses:

+Survivalist
+Methodical
+Good Intuition
+Potential to be a good trainer
+Athletic
+Constantly Aware
+Kind to Pokemon
+Self-Sufficient

- Paranoid
- Bitter
- Hasn't completed school

- Prone to criminal acts

Backstory:

It should immediately be noted that Beerus is a boy displaced in time, he has no home, nor place. He is lost, adrift, rendered a Faller by circumstances he could not control and spat out into a region he never once thought he would call home. Time has distorted his life in every way imaginable, and even the time he has experienced in life is shorter than the time transpired between his birth date and the present date, all because of that stone. As one imagines, he is not pleased. But first, his origins.

Beerus is a Kanto boy, but not any Kanto boy, a Kanto boy of the past. Think back, if you will, to the original conception of Team Rocket, oh so long ago, think to the very beginning of that organization and look at its members - within you shall find Beerus's parents. They met labeled by the Big "R," his father a lead scientist and mother a grunt captain by the time he was born. The second child of two, he spent most of his time under the care of his older sister, an introverted, psychopathic musician who would create an "evil team" of her own in due time, but that time was not then, then was the time she spent in concerts and on the computer, leaving Beerus on his own for the most part. He learned how to manage with tv-dinners and poptarts, involving himself with play in the neighborhood much more than he attended his studies.

It only took one bad set of grades and a lashing from his father to rectify that little quirk, but Beerus was a resourceful one, the type too clever for its own good, and at the abrupt end of his school career he'd probably learned more trying to skimp on school-work effectively than he ever did doing it. This diligence to play in the outdoors would be what lead him to encounter and befriend his first Pokemon partner, the Natu, Peckem. The second would come as a gift from his mother, a Magnemite of many Team Rocket had in surplus. Beerus decided to call this one Krieger.

His parents visited home on infrequent occasion, as you might have already surmised, and on one such day, his father came alone - the mother off on some illegal business. In his possession, the father carried a murky black hunk of stone with neon pink shards jutting out of it. They glowed oddly, and it seemed to Beerus that the stone was not metamorphic at all, but something strange - made only odder by the fact the father hid the stone within a safe. Curious as he was, observing his father hide this thing away without his father noticing him, Beerus was tired, the moon was high in the sky, and so he slept, content to save the mystery for another day.

When he awoke neither moon nor sun nor sky awaited him...at least, not a sky he knew. Instead, a cacophony of mineral growths reminiscent of that rock surrounded him, the only thing "above" being a dark black. Beerus had been sucked into the Ultraspace - there was not a doubt in his mind it had something to do with that strange stone.

He was not alone, as he roamed the space there were times where he hid under a growth of rock, strange shadows of strange Pokemon drifting by in the "sky" above". Underneath one such rock, he found a familiar Pokeball, Peckem's Pokeball, the first of many items he would find in that space that once belonged to his home. Their presence there concerned him, but Peckem most likely saved his sanity, inspiring him to begin collecting all the other mementos out there.

In what felt like no time at all he'd made a small base camp out of familiar objects…..but that was the thing...in Ultraspace one could not judge time, so there was no time at all. He went to sleep, he awoke, no sun, no moon, he did the same thing again, nothing, the same thing again - and by magic, there was nothing. Furthermore, he did not hunger, and no matter how much he explored that strange expanse he saw nothing new. It was almost as if the place was trapped in time. Krieger could attest to this, and by the time Beerus and Peckem had found it, whose screws now wore new coats of metal - having assimilated the odd material of the Ultraspace for far too long.

Time passed. Nothing changed. Not his body, not nothing - he had trouble remembering how to pee when he escaped.

In an act of determination, Beerus led his party out from the safety of the home camp to find a way out, and so they went, to the strange, uncharted dark. Beerus walked with Peckem perched on his shoulder and Krieger drifting at his side for what seemed to be ages. They found Kreiger's Pokeball, they found a poptart, they found a darkness that did not lead home. Hope faded as they lost their way - incapable of returning to the base camp - the last comforting place in that strange landscape, and in a fit of frustration Beerus cried out louder than he'd ever done before, but not a word, not an "IS ANYONE THERE?!" just a frustrated sound.

Something, apparently, had heard the call. He did not remember how he awoke, but he and his entourage awoke in a forest. They explored and found a town. They explored and found a horrid truth - this was not Kanto, but….Kealu? Where was Team Rocket? Disbanded? Team Rocket disbanded? Where is mom? Where is dad? Sis'? I know our phone number…disconnected.

And so, lost in a new nation, Beerus begins his Pokemon adventure, determined to learn the true nature of his short leap through time so that, perhaps, he can reverse it.

Pokemon Team:

Peckem♀ - Natu - Magic Bounce

natu.gif

Peckem is a quiet bird who escaped from a Pokemon day-care long ago, bred from a Xatu and a Chatot. To anyone who manages a peep from her, congrats, she rarely makes a sound. She's like her master, and befriends only a few.

Kreiger - Magnemite - Magnet Pull

magnemite.gif

Krieger is a Magnemite whose screws gleam with an unnatural crystalline luster- which is strange, made stranger by the fact that it ate alien material to cause this. It hovers in the air with the drunken sway of a landlocked sailor, as if it's not in its element - but that aside it's a very friendly Pokemon, if not extremely weird.

Kind of a dumb question, but are the Trial Captains we met in the rp the Trial Captains for just the first island? Or are they going to be found on other islands? @True Self

The current Trial Captains were initially planned to have trials on separate islands, but I am now considering to keep them all on Ke'oa and creating other captains for the other islands. @EchoRun

I know we're not quite that far along but I'm trying to do a little planning (I may or may not stick to these plans depending on what happens). Is there going to be a ice/snow biome where ice types could be caught? Maybe in one of the mountain areas? I'm debating between getting Eevee or Vulpix during the Daycare event in the rp when that eventually comes up

There is a specific ice area on Ke'oa that Mialee will reveal where her Grand trial will take place :)
