Lyth slipped into the lab right on Zaide's heels, the door closed and locked with a sharp click. The lab was fairly dim, the lighting blocked by mountains of research papers, piles of both used and clean test-tubes and beakers, and a surprising amount of broken microscopes. "Come come, over this way!" Leading a path through the piles of debris, Lyth brought the boy over to the only clean spot in the lab. A lone chair sat in a circle of light, the mess covering the rest of the lab hanging on the edges of the shadows. Without nothing more than a twisted smile, the scientist forced the boy to sit, moving quickly with practiced precision as he strapped down each limb, ensuring Zaide couldn't stand. The stretch of leather was a disgusting orange in his vision, but worth the discomfort for the payoff in the end. Finished with the last strap, Lyth stepped back, giving the boy a once over. "Perfect~ Now, sit tight a moment."

Turning away, the blonde went rummaging through the lab, scurrying back and forth as he grabbed materials he'd need for his little experiment. Through it all, his smile never lessened, stuck wide and twisted on his lips, green eyes blazing with an enthusiasm generally reserved for children, or the unhinged. He came back into the circle of light with his arms full, setting up a simple pulley and lever system, extending it above Zaide. "Right. Now for the final touch…" He opened a nearby cabinet, the test tubes inside all lined up neatly in a row, each filled with a clear liquid. Tapping each with a finger, he chose one at brought it over to the boy. "Now, please hold your hand open, palm facing down." He waited a moment for Zaide to follow instructions, before uncorking the test tube, and allowing a single drop to hit the back of the boy's hand. The skin began to immediately bubble and hiss as the acid ate away at the flesh, sinking in further through the boy's skin.

Zaide practically felt the sharp click of the lock after the blonde slipped inside of the room. The purple haired boy had a difficult time trying to regain his composure, even after so many years of this. How he was still sane was an even better question. He was forced back into the chair and strapped down almost immediately. The creepy smile the blonde held frightened Zaide just a bit, but that gaze was nothing compared to the Devil's eyes himself. He followed the instructions, purple eyes watching as the single drop hit his skin.

The purple haired man immediately budged and moved his arm violently only to try and remove the acid in any way. A strangled like scream sounded from the pain, the light flash of lavender brightening from his eyes. Random objects and equipment within the room were thrown in different directions, a result of his telekinetic survival instincts. It was something that couldn't be helped, which was why it was recommended that the scientist working on him knew how to dodge.

Aiden was pleased that he had been given the opportunity to observe the brand the boy had tried to hide. It was almost if he was ashamed of it. Aiden would have understood if it was a regretful tattoo or a scar of some sort. But it wasn't. It was something Aiden had studied intensely at college, aside from the homework and essays he had to do, Aiden researched Alchemy and mythology for a few years on the side. Even took a few classes. It was the Ouroboros, very symbolic in mythology, and the boy had it tattooed on his chest. Aiden was amazed, purely amazed. And Rein seemed ashamed of it? This confused Aiden deeply, he was positive the boy didn't know what it meant, if he did, Rein surely wouldn't be shamed of having it. Aiden shook his head "Rein, this is amazing. Purely amazing. I have never met anyone with this brand, and seeing you have one is fabulous. This is Ouroboros, depicted in thousands of mythologies in the world as a dragon, or your case, a snake eating itself. Ouroboros represents the cycle of life, death and rebirth such as the phoenix. It can also represent the idea of primordial unity related to something existing in or persisting before any beginning with such force or qualities it cannot be extinguished. It has symbolized infinity for years, starting in Norse form it appears as the serpent Jormungandr, one of the three children of Loki and Angrboda, who grew so large that it could encircle the world and grasp its tail in its teeth. The progression of life, how it goes on and never ends even as we, in ourselves, have gone in evolution." Aiden was shy to touch it at first, but his fingertips touched the head of the snake, following the circle form as the snake reconnected with its tail. He was at a loss for words, but a small smile formed on his lips, forgetting in the moment about Jax and Tristan. "Truly beautiful" he mumbled softly.

Jax only listened, seeming lost in his own throughts, he could hear Aiden from the halls. Speaking in some sort of nerd talk Jax couldn't understand. Aiden would not be pleased to find Yuu bothering them in his office when Yuu wasn't invited. Jax had been caught being nosy once, and that nearly got him deported to Military school. Jax smiled, lost in his memories, how was he supposed to know that Sarah would be hiding Dildo's in her closet. Jax had only wanted his phone which she took. Jax was young at that age, just a year out of cannibalism and he had his new phone taken away. Sarah could only hide it in the one place he hadn't looked, the closet. He regretted that decision. He also regretted taking her apparent favorite purple one downstairs to ask her why she had it and what it was. Jax broke from his thoughts when Tristan mentioned Aiden wanting to keep him as a boy, Jax shook his head lightly. His arms crossing over his chest, his eyes closed but a light frown on his face. His feet carried him to the door frame where he leaned his back against it. There he could be nosy in two ways. And by the way Yuu had grasped the chair, he had seem the emotion before, Sarah had shown it often with the girls on television. Jealousy. This made him curious, what purpose would Yuu have for being jealous of Aiden?

Jax wasn't going to lie, Aiden was handsome, as if he was carved by stone. Jax would have tried to get with the man if he hadn't picked up on Aiden's lack of forgetfulness. Almost 20 years and Aiden still hung on to the fact that his sister was dead. Ace took death like it was the end of the world, Jax couldn't sympathize death like Aiden could, Allen removed those feelings from Jax at a young age. She claimed they were worthless, and sympathy was only a tool to be used against other humans, those weaker. Yuu was also handsome, Jax was getting interested in the scientist more and more. Yet the man seemed overprotective about Tristan. Now, Tristan, that was an interesting case. The boy wanted to help people and yet when it came to other scientists, such as Yuu, he shied away from it. Yuu wasn't scary, no matter what look he tried to pull off, and yet Tristan fell for it as if a look could cut someone in half. Tristan was a good kid, and by the way he had nearly choked when Jax mentioned Yuu, the boy feared the purple haired man more than any other.

Yuu mentioned Jax's abilities, the boy lifted his eye lids, flashing bright jade like headlights. Is that so? It would have made Jax laugh if Yuu hadn't changed direction to Tristan. Clearly Tristan was the special one. "Ace only wished for Tristan to assist me. From Aiden's words in the hall it seems this Rein you speak of has captured Aiden's full attention. Unless a scientist has snatched up this boy, he seems unused at the moment." Jax didn't know if he was helping Tristan or making the fear worse. As long as the lights were on in the room, he didn't care about it either. Allen was relaxed, fully alert, but relaxed. Yuu had been in the room for a while, Jax had offered Tristan a drink, so he couldn't be rude. "Can I get you a beverage, Dr. Nozomu?"

Rein watched him carefully as he studied the brand, confused by the look of awe on his face. Amazing? He listened intently, stunned. Rein had never known what the snake was supposed to represent, or why that man had decided to burn it into his skin, but he had known he hated it. It seemed as though everything bad that happened to him had happened after or immediately before he was given it. It was there when he first lost his innocence, there when those had come to trust turned on him and there when he’d realized that the one person he thought still cared only saw him as an object to sell. But now, as Aiden explained to him its true meaning, he didn’t know what to think. How could something he hated so much really represent something so beautiful?

Rein felt his face grow hot as Aiden traced the snake with his fingertips. He almost seemed as though he was in a dream state, and Rein didn’t want to pull him out of it. But he had to know what he thought. “Doctor…” He hesitates, unsure how to word his question. “Do you think good can come from bad? Like how there can be life in death, do you think trauma from the past can turn into something better? Something… meaningful?”

Lucien nodded, amused by the boy’s disbelief. Of course he understood where it came from. Most of the boys who entered his lab didn’t leave unscathed, and the collection of body parts he hoarded only served to prove this. Lucien had ample DNA from every boy he could get his hands on, from strands of hair to teeth to kidneys. Soon he hoped to add Isaac’s DNA to the collection. “You can use this.” He says, pulling a rolling chair from a desk near the wall and positioning it a few feet in front of the boy. “Unfortunately I don’t have anything better for you to use, so you will have to make do.” He smiles, his eyes quickly flitting to Isaac’s. He itched to cut out one of his eyes and dissect it, but he knew if he did and somehow affected Isaac’s power, he would never be able to find out everything he wanted to. Lucien had never been a very patient man, but if it meant getting the most information possible, he could wait for as long as it took.

“Now this-“ he says, rolling an IV over to the table, “is just to insure that you don’t cause any problems. If you become uncontrollable, I will allow the IV to administer enough ketamine to render you unconscious. Do you understand?”

Yuu's eyes widened upon hearing the new information, unable to conceal a small smile that played across those pink lips and he turned his head to face Jax.
"Really, now?" The boy had just confirmed his suspicions and it was possibly the best new he could hear. He turned his attention back to Tristain, a look of child-like excitement playing across his features. "Did you hear that? Aiden had taken Rein under his wing, Tristian-kun...So you ARE free then?" He let a small chuckle escape him as he brushed another purple strand from her face. His hair was something her would never tell anyone about, being that it was completely natural. Purple was an odd color and for a scientist working on odd people to have odd features like himself, it was only natural to let people assume he had dyed it. There were many secrets that Yuu seemed to hide it seemed. Secrets that could easily put him in the same position as the boys if he was not careful, but he WAS oh so careful to hide.

He glanced over at Jax when he offered him a drink, his head turning slightly to the side before he answered.
"If I am correct, Aiden has nothing more than soda and gatorade...I'll take a sprite, Jax." He turned back to Tristain and simply watched the fear cross his face, relishing the agony and panic rising inside of him with a coy smile on his face.

The reaction was instantaneous, and violent, items and equipment thrown around in random directions across his lab, forcing the scientist to throw himself hard to the right to avoid a filing cabinet. All the noise, the screaming, crashing, shattering sounds swirled in colour around him, making it very difficult to see for a moment. But it was beautiful, an absolute masterpiece woven together. And it had only taken a single drop. His laugh rose up through his chest, almost loud enough to be heard over the din of Zaide's outburst. Slowly, the acid dissipated into the air, leaving behind only the smell of burnt flesh and alcohol, Lyth dusting himself off from the telekinetic outburst. "That was perfect!" He exclaimed, stepping forward towards the boy without fear. If anything, his mood had only improved. "Now, with the control test out of the way, we can get to the real testing!" Without even so much as missing a beat, the scientist went about resetting the system Zaide had so rudely destroyed. It annoyed him slightly that he was, essentially, repeating the same action, but this time- oh this time! There would be so much tension. It was giving him jitters simply thinking about it. This time, he set the flask into the system, before turning back to Zaide.

"So, as you can see, the acid is now set up to the system. I'll be standing over there," He pointed to a spot outside the light, quite a ways away. "hopefully out of the splash zone. We've established with the control that if you don't know something is dangerous, you don't spike until it presents itself as pain. So, now that you know that acid is dangerous, how close can the flask get before you spike again?" Grinning wide, Lyth positioned himself in the shadows, rope in hand. Slowly, he began to pull the rope, the pulley system slowly moving the flask of acid towards Zaide. "Oh, should probably mention, once the flask reaches the end of the system, it'll fall. On top of you."

Isaac watched quietly as Lucien brought him a chair to use his powers on, fidgeting as he did so. He didn't really want to destroy the scientists property, fairly certain there would be repercussions of some kind. Even with the man's permission. It just seemed like something they'd do, set him up to destroy something, only to be punished for doing so later. The IV through him for a bit of a loop. It seemed quite… unnecessary, seeing as Lucien could simply turn off the lights to render him all but useless. Still, he supposed it'd be better to be safe then sorry when dealing with boys who could wield supernatural abilities. "I understand." He answered, tone uncertain and skeptical. Taking a deep breath, he let himself relax. He should probably start with one of the less dangerous materials. "Um… I'm not sure how much you know about what I can do, and I don't want to do something and have you deem it 'out of hand'… So I'mma narrate a bit, if that's okay?" As he spoke, he let the yellow light he'd taken in before drain from his eyes, into his hands.

He brought them up in front of himself, cupping them to make a small bowl. "I can't do much with yellow light, but it's probably the most important colour I can draft." He released the yellow light into his hands, the liquid gold briefly pooling in his hands, before erupting into light. "You can't really see it with the lights on, but yellow turns into light almost as quickly as I can draft it. It's also easier to draft other colours from yellow than, say, artificial light." He let his hands drop, releasing all the yellow in his system. Focusing hard, he let the light flood through his system. The feeling of all those colours was always a bit overwhelming at first, before he split the spectrum within himself. He reached for orange, the colour filling in his eyes, the yellow in his eyes being replaced by a brilliant orange. "Orange is a fun colour. It's slippery, like oil, making it hell fun to trip up people." He could feel the orange affecting his morals already, mingling with the joy of yellow. He shot it out at the chair, the light coating the chair in a thin layer. "I doubt anyone could sit in that chair now. At least until the light dissipates."

@Lucian Ravenscar

Zaide panted unevenly after the acid had disappeared form his skin. It hurt immensely just having the single drop on him, and it appeared to have brightened the scientist's mood. All he did was laugh heartily before approaching the purple haired man again, making him flinch a little. His purple eyes looked to the blonde, now being informed that it was only a test before the real test. His heart skipped a bit out of fear and he budged in his seat a little out of frustration. He was afraid of what the scientist was capable of as well as the acid he put on the pulley system. The acid hurt worse than the ringing of the laughter that reverberated around the room.

He was confused for only a few seconds before fear struck his heart again. Not one drop would fall on him, but the whole damn flask. He would be killed if the damn thing touched him! The closer and closer the flask got, the more and more Zaide had begun to panic. Once the flask had reached 3/4's of the way there, his survival instincts kicked in and his eyes flashed to their glow of lavender. His eyes stared directly at the pulley system, his slim fingers twitching from the adrenaline of his power. The screeching sound of metal pulling began, before another flash of a lavender-like strike around the system appeared. The system was torn from the hinges that kept it up and working. The acidic contents broke on the floor as the whole thing came crashing down then thrown to the opposite direction of the scientist, Zaide's eyes returning to normal afterwards, his heart beating rapidly in his chest and his head pounding. He was receiving a headache after pulling the system down from the hinges due pushing his powers out of its comfort zone. He was used to throwing loose objects, but his survival instincts worked surprisingly well when tearing an object out of the wall. Why did he end up tearing the pulley system out? To ensure the scientist didn't try that stunt again.

Lucien watched fixedly as Isaac transferred the light from his eyes into his hands. Though he was intrigued by the boy’s power, very little of his fascination made it onto his face, the only evidence of his thoughts being conveyed through the slight tilt of his head. He smiled slightly as the liquid seemed to burst into light, only faintly visible as it blended in with the light of the room. Even more interesting to him was his eyes, as orange took over the yellow that had dominated them. Once again Lucien felt that itching feeling, but he pushed it away, instead focusing on the light Isaac shot out at the chair, coating it completely.

The onslaught of questions was immediate, each one like an individual shout within his head, demanding to be addressed. He heard Isaac say something else, but he was too preoccupied with his thoughts to fully register it. It was only a moment before he was scribbling in his notepad, sketching everything he had seen and adding notes underneath. Isaac’s power was truly curious, and Lucien knew he had made the right choice in choosing to study him for the day. Although he had numerous questions for Isaac, he was fully overcome by the desire to see more. He looked from the pad to the chair, completely covered in orange light. “Do you need another target?”

@Jessica2477

Lyth watched with great anticipation as the flask moved slowly along, eyes flicking between it and Zaide's terrified visage. The tightening of his jaw as the danger and consequences began to set in, the dilation of his pupils as adrenalin kicked into his system, the pathetic struggling against the bonds that bound him to the chair. It all swirled in colour and motion in one beautiful masterpiece, tension slowly rising, music slowly building, until the grande finale. It was taking every ounce of his willpower not to hasten his actions, hand over hand in a slow rhythm, the flask steadily growing closer. The blonde's smile widened as Zaide's eyes lit up, quickly making a mental note of where the flask hung, before readying himself to dive for cover. The horrid sound of twisting metal filled the room, Lyth stepping back as the pulley system was ripped down into a heap on the floor, and then flung away into the wall.

Walking through the dust cloud, Lyth took three careful steps towards the broken flask, the spilled acid hissing and spitting against the concrete. "Very interesting. Not exactly the result I was expecting, but much more useful~" A childish giggle escaped his lips, the scientist bouncing on the balls of his feet as he skipped over to Zaide. Hopping on the back of the chair, using the momentum to spin it around. "Ahh~ You did so well! A near perfect result! If only all my experiments went this well." Leaning over the back of the chair, he reached around to lift Zaide's chin so they were face to face. "That was a rather controlled attack on my little system there. I didn't know you had such precision with your ability." Smiling widely, the blonde leapt from the chair. "But, that will require different testing. A different system. We're still deciding your range. So, Zaide," Spinning on his heal, Lyth fixed a wild gaze on the boy. "Ready to go again?"

____________

@Karo

Isaac watched quietly as Lucien started scribbling into his notepad, a burning curiosity running through him. What words were written in there? What thoughts did the man have running around in his head? He took in a breath to ask, but was cut off by the man himself, inquiring about the chair. The bravery died on his tongue, sitting back. "No… No, I can dissipate the light. I won't need a new target. Yet." He waved his fingers in an arc, and the orange light disappeared into dust, leaving behind the faint scent of citrus. He raked a hand through his pale hair, thinking about what to show next. What he was willing to show. Did the scientist know how many colours he could draft? Could he get away with keeping some secrets? "Uh.. okay. Red next." The light filled his eyes, a surge of anger burning in his veins as they turned crimson. Before it could take hold of him, the red was shot out at the chair, sticking in a glooping pile on the back rest. Isaac took a few deep breaths to release the anger, feeling himself calm down again.

"Right… Red." He made a general gesture with his hand towards the chair. "As you can see, it's quite sticky. Once it is on something, you can not get it off." There was a short pause as Isaac weighed his options in his head. "…It's also extremely flammable. If I have an open flame, I could potentially make fireballs." He made no mention of how he could potentially make a flame, given enough heat. Quietly, he brought his hand up, dissipating the red light. The scent of cinnamon filled the room. Sighing softly, the boy rubbed his temples. He could feel the first signs of him using too much power already coming on. "Next… Well, I can't show you violet. Not indoors, at least. So I suppose we could jump to indigo." The familiar swell of light, followed by a deep focus and calm, the stress of the world seeming to disappear in the back of him mind. His finger drew a perfect square in air, the hard indigo following just behind. As he finished, the box fell with a heavy thud to the floor. For a moment, he wondered if he'd managed to crack it. "Indigo is solid, like brick or concrete. And it is seriously strong. Could probably make houses out of this."

His head was pounding now, the nausea causing his stomach to do backflips. Moving through his whole spectrum was far more dangerous than simply using one particular colour, draining him more and more each time he split the light within him. Still, there were only two colours left to move through. As long as he was careful, it should be fine. Isaac dissipated the indigo block, drawing in more light, materializing green in his hands. Suddenly, the facility seemed more like a cage, and the boy itched for the freedom beyond its walls. "Green is somewhat like rubber, but with a bit more give. It's also quite… springy. If I coated my shoes in this stuff, I could probably jump a few feet higher than normal." That was an understatement and a half. If given enough light to work with, Isaac could, potentially, jump over the building. But Dr. Lucien didn't need to know that. He moulded the green into a small ball, bouncing it off of the chair and back into his hands a few times to show off, before letting it dissipate, filling the room with the scent of pine.

"And finally, there's blue." Drawing in more light was making his vision swim, but this was the last colour. He could make it. Without so much as a word, he flicked his hand towards the chair. A spattering of blue needles shot forth, cutting clean through the chair as though it were made of butter, sinking halfway into the wall before losing their momentum. "I don't believe I need to explain much more than that." There, all of his colours had been shown. Well, most. Violet could wait for a later date, and he didn't feel like sharing more about his last two abilities. Better to have some secrets, right? He turned now ice blue eyes to the Doctor. "That's all of them, Dr, Lucien…"

He listed to the words the scientist spoke, the childish giggle, and the glee in his tone of voice from such an experiment. This experiment was going to kill Zaide one of these days, it would have now had his telekinetic powers stepped in. But Hell, his headache already made him feel like a scientist was banging a hammer to his forehead. Anymore and he would need a lot of medication for it. Maybe after this was over he could request to go to his room for a while and let nature take its course. Or find something to distract himself, whichever came first. The blonde forced him to tilt his head back and look up to a shadowed face, nearly a silhouette due to the poor lighting inside of the room. Even Zaide didn't have an idea if it were controlled or not.

The wild gaze made the boy flinch a little; what other testing could this psychopath (or sociopath) have? His forehead was pounding, his heartbeat was still trying to calm down from the near death experience, and now he was going to be put through something else. "No.. But I don't have a say in the matter." He said a little bit sullenly, having already learned that from experience.

@Jessica2477

Lyth heard the sullenness in the boy's voice, grinning widely. "Aww, is the little boy getting tired?" He cooed, voice mocking and sweet. "So weak. We've only just begun." He stepped behind the boy's chair, locking it in place so he wouldn't be able to turn, giving him a lovely smile, before walking behind him. The blonde began pushing things out of the way, grabbing another flask from the cabinet. Humming softly to himself, he began to string the flask up in much the same way he had before, with a few less parts. Likely, this would be less reliable in making sure all the acid made it over Zaide before falling, but if his hunch was correct, that wouldn't matter. "Now, I know you can't see, but I'm sure you can figure out what's going on." Leaving the flask hanging, Lyth came up behind the boy, arms wrapping around him, resting his chin on Zaide's shoulder. "Another flask is set up behind you. It will be creeping ever closer, and if you don't manage to stop it in time, it will fall on top of you."

Giggling lightly, Lyth danced away, taking the rope into his hands. Emerald eyes watched with morbid delight at the fear he could see radiating off of his subject. Slowly, he began working the rope, the pulley screeching as the flask began to move.

@Kylulu

Zaide grimaced at the sound of the mocking coo. He hated to be mocked, much like anyone else would. Soon, he felt the chair click and lock in place, making him wonder what in the world the Scientist was doing. He could hear something going on behind him and it worried him. All because he didn't know what was happening. Fear began to course through his veins again and his stomach twisted in knots. Bucking in his chair would prove futile, so he listened to what the blonde told him. The purple haired man didn't like the other touching him, and it kind of showed when he stiffened in his seat.

"Another flask is set up behind you. It will be creeping ever closer, and if you don't manage to stop it in time, it will fall on top of you."

The screeching of the pulley system working the flask closer and closer unnerved him, and made him believe that the flask was closer than it actually was. When the flask made it only halfway, Zaide's eyes glowed a whitish lavender again. His whole body stiffened like a statue as time seemed to slow for him. His adrenaline pumped through his veins, and before he knew it, a force alike but stronger than the first emitted. It was set on taking down the flask, but it caused more more harm to the damage already done. As a result of straining his body past the usual limit, Zaide immediately closed his eyes as he felt drops of blood beginning to seep out of them. His power's glow required both brain and eyes to work properly, but caused much more strain to eyes and sometimes damaged them. If he didn't have his eyes, his power would fling objects without a proper target. The power could end up flinging an object at himself.

DIO

Dio leans back on his chair slowly, placing his feet upon the table once again. His blonde and messy hair covers his face like a mop. He sighs to himself and his shadow paces franticly back and forth. “I know, right?” Dio drawls his words out slowly to his shadow, for a moment they glance at each other as an unspoken message flickers through them. “screw this!” Dio grunts as he swings his legs off the table and get's to his feet. His heels make a resounding click and he grunts slightly, a smirk crosses his lips as he cracks his neck side to side. His shadow almost seems to grin in anticipation, sensing that Dio's waited long enough to once again try and escape. Dio nonchalantly starts to breeze out the cafeteria, ignoring what's going on around him. He starts to whistle ACDC's back in black and steps in rhythm to the song, not caring if he draws attention or not. The only person he'd hate to get attention from at the moment is his boyfriend, Adonis. 'but Adonis ain't here, is he?” the blonde scoundrel reminds himself with a lopsided and cunning grin, like a cat who's just stumbled upon a mouse. As Dio walks, his shadow trails behind him innocently in sync for now.. when the time comes, it knows Dio will need it's invaluable assistance.
