Danmachi: The Second Coming

  1. (This is a fandom RP of the Anime/Manga/Light Novel Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatte Iru Darou ka wiki/Is it Wrong to try and pick up girls in a Dungeon. If you don't know what the Anime/Manga/Light Novel is, you can still join, as the most important and basic Aspects of it will be explained either here or in the IC)

    This is more of a Sandbox RP, there is no defined plot, and all character start at the same level with slight differences, the only things limiting you is the RNG gods and your imagination. There IS some level of management in the form of Me, as in i will be telling you when you gain something and the like based on Dice Rolls. @Blitzfang43 is a Co-GM for this, so if i ever can't answer any questions or post stats gains and the like, then refer to him and he'll have it resolved.

    Setting

    This RP takes place in the city of Orario. Orario is a metropolis stationed atop the Dungeon. The Dungeon is an underground facility that has, as of current knowledge, an unlimited amount of floors, with the monsters inside getting stronger the more floors you go down. There are 3 races in the world of Danmachi: Humans, Demi-Humans, and Gods/Godesses. Humans and Demi-Humans have something called a Status that they are born with, all Humans and Demi-Humans are born with a Status naturally. Statuses can only be edited by Gods/Goddesses, though Gods/Goddesses cannot edit it as they like, it only allows them to add in anything that the Human/Demi-Human has gained from Adventuring into the Dungeon or doing literally anything else. There are 3 types of Gods/Goddesses as well: Producer Gods/Goddesses, Combat Gods/Goddesses, and Neutral Gods/Goddesses. All Gods/Goddesses know how to edit Statuses, but depending on the type of God/Goddess will be the type of Skills, Abilities, and Stat Gains that you get when they do edit your Status. Producer Gods/Goddesses are Gods/Goddesses that only produce things like Magical Items, Magical Weapons, Items, Food, Weapons, Armour, Ect. Their only sole abilities and specialties are only about Producing a certain type of things. Combat Gods/Goddesses are Gods/Goddesses that only concern themselves with Combat, whether it be Tactics, Mental, or Physical. Their only sole abilities and specialties is anything concerning Combat. Neutral Gods/Goddesses are Gods/Goddesses that have an equal amount of skill in both Producing and Combat, with no focus in either.

    Familia are the Humans/Demi-Humans that are bound to a God/Goddess. Humans/Demi-Humans can Transfer Familia at any time with both Gods/Goddesses permission, and a Familia can be any size. Weapons, Armour, and Items/Accessories also help a Human/Demi-Human, and every one of them is different. Levels and Stats do exist, and whenever a character levels up all of their Stats reset to 10, with their old stats put in Parenthesis as an invisible bonus. Whenever a Human/Demi-Human Levels Up, they pick a Development Ability, of which will be posted by a GM of which one's are available for you to pick, the one's available will be based upon who your God/Goddess is and what type of character you are. The main form of Currency is Valis, which can be gained by selling Magic Stones to the Guild or working at a job/selling materials/items. Magic is casted by using Chants. Short Chant and No Chant magic are both extremely rare.

    • Magic Swords enable the user to fire Magic from the sword. Only those with a high Blacksmith Skill can make them. Magic Swords shatter after being used a certain amount of times and are also weaker than Magic used by adventurers.

      Magic Items are items that produce magical or paranormal effects, such as flying sandals, helmets that grant invisibility, or Grimoires that let the reader obtain magic just by reading them. Gods/Goddesses and those with the Development Ability Mystery are able to create these items.


    • A character can only Level Up when they achieve a feat that impresses multiple gods or grants them large amounts of Experience. For Example, a Level 1 Character defeating 1000 Monsters would impress many gods/goddesses and would result in a level up. Or a Level 1 Character killing a Minotaur from the 15th floor would also warrant a Level Up as well due to the amount of Experience gained.

      When a Character reaches Level 2 they gain an Alias that they are given by their God/Goddess.


    • All Adventurers are registered into the Guild, which allows them to head into the Dungeon. Adventurers would trade in their Magic Stones gained from defeating Monsters at the Guild to gain Valis (The currency of the world)

    • 1st-4th Floor (Level 1-I to F Level Skill)

      The walls are light blue colored, and the monsters that appear are Goblins or Kobolds. There is also a wide hallway on the 1st Floor known as the Beginning Road.

      5th-7th Floor (Level 1-F to D Level Skill)

      The walls change to a light green color and the structure of the Dungeon begins to change. Stronger monsters such as Killer Ants appear and the monster birth time is faster.

      8th-9th Floor (Level 1-D to A Level Skill)

      The amount and size of rooms increase and the length of the hallways between them become shorter. Also, the ceiling changes height from three to four meters from the floors above to nearly ten meters above.
      Moss covers the brown colored walls and the ground below becomes a short grass plain. The strong light from the phosphorescence above is similar to light from the sun. No new monsters appear, however Goblins and Kobolds are stronger than above.

      10th-12th Floor (Level 1-A to S Level Skill)

      The 10th Floor keeps the same structure as the 8th and 9th Floors above, however the light from above becomes reminiscent of morning mist. Mist appears across the floor making vision terrible.
      The 11th Floor has mist like the 10th Floor.
      The mist on the 12th Floor becomes much thicker than the 10th and 11th Floors above.

      Middle Floors (MIDDLE FLOORS SPAWN MINI-BOSS MONSTERS)

      13th-17th Floor(Level 2-I to F Level Skill)
      Starting from the 13th Floor, the walls, ground, and ceiling become made of bedrock. The light becomes darker and the air seems to be moist. Vertical holes leading to the deeper floors appear randomly. The middle floors are called the first line.
      Starting from the 17th Floor the walls, ground, and ceiling become rocky. The light becomes dim and the rocky hallways become hard to walk through. A huge wall appears in the big room located called the Big Wall of Grief. The wall spawns the Monster Rex Goliath.

      Rivira (18th Floor)(Level 2-F to D Level Skill)
      The 18th Floor is a safety point where no monsters are born, however monsters can come up from the floor below. The floor is filled with crystals and nature. It is also called the Under Resort.
      Large forests and lakes cover the floor. Within the forest are blue crystals of different sizes that reflect the light from above, causing the forest to be filled with a pale blue glow.

      The exceptionally high ceiling is filled with brilliant shining crystals of two colors, white crystals in the center that resemble the sun, and blue crystals surrounding it that resemble the sky. The amount of light from the crystals depends on the time and cycles through the day.
      On an eastern side of the island facing the lake stands the city of Rivira. It is located 200 meters above the lake on a cliff.

      19th-24th Floor (Level 2-D to S Level Skill)

      The 19th through 24th Floors are known as the Large Tree Labryinth. The walls, ground, and ceiling are made out of wood making it seem like the inside of a giant tree. Instead of phosphorescent light, radiating moss grows across the floor and give off blue light.
      Most resource gathering quests involve materials that are found here.

      Deeper Floors(DEEPER FLOORS RARELY SPAWN BOSS MONSTERS. MONSTER REX'S ALSO SPAWN ON CERTAIN FLOORS)

      37th-49th Floor (Level 3+)

      The 37th Floor is known as the White Palace as the walls, ground, and ceiling are colored white with the floor being a giant labyrinth. The floor is on a different scale than the floors above it as the space between hallways, rooms, and walls is huge. The whole floor is shaped like a circle that is surrounded by a big circle wall that is five floors long. The entrance to the 38th Floor is located in the center of the floor. The floor also has the Monster Rex Udaeus.
      Colosseums start appearing, which are rooms that seemingly spawn monsters non stop until a certain amount is reached.
      The walls, ground, and ceiling of the 44th Floor are colored burning red and distorted rocks lie on the ground across the floor. Along the walls are cracks that are colored black which make it seem like it carbonized. Red light shine lightly from inside the cracks, giving off an eerie presence.
      The 49th Floor is known as the Moitora and is a huge room. No grass or trees grown on the desolate ground. The rocks and the sand are all a reddish brown color. It also contains a Monster Rex Balor.

      50th Floor (Level 3+)

      The 50th Floor is another safety point where no monsters are born, however just like the 18th Floor monsters can come to the floor from above or below. Gray colored trees cover the floor up until the end of the floor. Vein like rivers run endlessly through the trees.

      51st-57th Floor (Level 3+)

      The 51st through 57th Floors are a labyrinth which is rare on the deeper floors. The walls, ground, and ceiling are flat and the structure makes it seem that it was carefully measured. Many corners and crossroads exist across the floors.
      The floors are also called the Dragon's Vase, as starting from the 52nd Floor the Valgang Dragons on the 58th Floor lock onto adventurer positions and fire flares through multiple floors.

      58th Floor (Level 3+)

      The 58th Floor is one vast room. The walls, ground, and ceiling are made of graphite and resemble a huge rectangular room.

      59th Floor (Level 3+)

      The 59th floor and onwards was known as the "Glacier Territory", with glacial lake streams, fierce cold, and ice covering the area.
      However, the terrain was modified when the new monsters took over, making it into a jungle like area. Past the jungle area is a large area that is covered with the ashes of countless dead monsters, making the whole area a gray color.

      (THERE ARE MORE FLOORS THEN THIS BUT NO-ONE HAS GOTTEN FARTHER THEN THE 59th FLOOR)

    • alis is the currency used in Orario. One can buy a Jagamarukun at 30-40 valis, materials for one meal at 50 valis, and a more expensive meal at a bar for 300 valis. Bell's first dagger cost 3600 valis, his first armor cost 5000 valis, and a lowest rank potion costs 500 valis. A party of five Level 1 adventurers can make around 25000 valis a day, and at 800,000 valis one can buy a good house.


    • Magic Stone: Magic Stones are the core of monsters and are always located in the chest area of the monster. Adventurers and Supporters gather magic stones to trade them in for valis at the Guild. Magic Stones have magical power in them that can be used for things such as lighting, water purification, cooking stoves, refrigerators, and other things. If one breaks the Magic Stone while in the monster, the monster immediately dies.

      Drop Item: Drop Items are items that can sometimes remain along with the Magic Stone after a monster dies. They are parts of the dead monster and are used to make weapons and items and therefore are traded at high prices.

      Monsters: Monsters are born from the Dungeon. They are born from the walls and ceilings of the Dungeon and fight adventurers. They are the enemies of the people and will attack without any warning. Monsters appeared from the Dungeon even before the Gods and Goddesses came from Heaven and some still live on the surface in various places. Monsters on the surface use the power of their Magic Stone to multiply, and so those on the surface are far weaker than the same ones inside the Dungeon.


    • Amazoness

      Amazoness are dark skinned women. Only women are born and so they leave their villages to search for men. They also have higher Strength and Agility then most. (+5 Starting Strength and Agility)

      Boaz

      Boaz are boar people and are considerably tall and muscular (in the case of males) or tall but slim and fit (in the case of females.) Boaz have higher endurance than others. (+7 Starting Endurance and +3 Power)

      Cat People

      Cat People have cat ears, cat tail, and high agility. (+8 Starting Agility and +2 Starting Power.)

      Chienthrope

      Chienthropes have dog ears and a tail. Chienthropes have heightened Hearing and Smell. (+1 Starting to all stats)

      Dwarf

      Dwarves are a race of short people, though there can be exceptions. They have considerable strength (+5 Starting Power and Endurance.)

      Elf

      Elves are a highly intelligent race that excel at magic. They live in forests. (Elves start with +7 Agility and +3 Dexterity)

      High Elf

      High Elves are members of Elf royalty. (High Elves start off with 600,000 Valis and +2 Agility)

      Half Dwarf

      Half Dwarves are a mix between Humans and Dwarves. (Half-Dwarves have +1 in Agility, Dexterity, Magic, and Power. They also have +6 Starting Endurance.)

      Half Elf

      Half Elves are a mix between Humans and Elves. Some Elves don't think too highly of them. (Half-Elves have +1 in Power, Dexterity, Magic, and Endurance. They also have +6 Starting Agility)

      Hume Bunny

      Hume Bunny are rabbit people with Rabbit Ears and a Tail. Hume Bunny's have slightly higher starting Agility (+10 Starting Agility).

      Human

      Humans are generally said to be the weakest race. (Humans have +2 Starting Bonus in all Stats.)

      Pallum

      Pallum are a race of small people. Like Humans, they are generally said to be the weakest race (Pallum start with no Stat Gains but instead have the Basic Magic Ability).

      Runarl

      Runarl have fox ears a tail, and slightly higher Agility and Dexterity (+5 Starting Agility and Dexterity).

      War Tiger

      War Tigers have tiger ears,a tail and slightly higher Power and Agility (+5 Starting Power and Agility).

      Werewolf

      Werewolves have wolf ears, a tail, and slightly higher Power (+10 Starting Power).

    Ryder is a more aloof individual than most as he is rarely seen in the company of other adventures unless deemed necessary, or they ally with his current interest. He can usually be caught wandering the town, taking on jobs, or washing down his pay with booze. He always seems to carry an air of mystery about him as his clothes, eye, and sometimes hair raise a good deal of questions that he simply leaves hung up in the air for others to speculate upon. Like most me he is a simple one as his joys can be found in getting paid, testing his abilities, and plenty of grog to wash away supposed sins of his past from what little can be discerned from his drunken mutterings. His demeanor does take a more somber tone after enough drinks when in a calm setting, but within the heat of battle it almost seems as though drinking turns him into a focused killing machine that forgets the limitation of a normal human being. A lonely wanderer, Ryder carries on alone in these time of growing change hoping that one day fate might blow him a gentle breeze for a change...and who knows 1 in a million isn't so bad if ya don't think about it.

    The turbulent events of his past did much to temper Fenrir's brutal and destructive personality. He used to be the herald of butchery, everywhere he walked destruction followed in his wake. But now he is calm, soft spoken, and friendly. But much of his anger lurks just below the surface of his personality, he is prone to snapping back to his old personality when angered. He hates disdain for his Familia, unfair actions, and bullying.

    Aspirations: Fenrir wants to increase the size of his Familia.


    History:
    When he was birthed, the gods feared he was the being the prophesy of Ragnarok was laid out. Fearing the worst the gods tried thrice to imprison Fenrir, on the last time a soft and supple ribbon was produced. Tricked into being bound by the ribbon, Fenrir raged and strained against his unjust imprisonment. As the gods cast off their unworldly powers and descended to the mortal realm, Fenrir was able to break free from his prison. Now free he cast off his powers and join the other gods to help the mortals.

    Aura is an energetic girl with an incredibly awful superiority complex. Aura doesn't believe she is as incredible as the gods, but she is sure that she is better than a good majority of mortals that exist within the realm. Aura doesn't have any basis for this reasoning, but her aspirations are the things that motivate her every action. She is incredibly ambitious, which can have many positive effects. Although there are a great number of drawbacks to this aspect of her personality as well. Aura gets incredibly angry when she doesn't achieve a goal she's set for herself and then tends to lash out at whatever is closest to her. It's hard for people to get near her for that reason, so she tries to make up for her lack of friends with her energetic side.

    Aspirations:
    Aura wishes to be the most powerful adventurer of them all. She hopes to obtain magics that others couldn't hope to attain.

    History:

    Aura was born into the world as a Pallum girl with three parents. Two fathers and a mother specifically. Aura's parents all loved her unconditionally and they all loved each other in the same way. All of her parents ran a small shop which made all different kinds of potions. Aura never really took interest in the potions, but she was incredibly interested in the adventurers who came into the shop to buy things from her parents. One day, an adventurer noticed her behind the table and pulled her up onto his shoulders. He jumped around with her on his shoulders and she laughed and had an incredibly fun time. After the little ride was over, he set her on the ground in front of him and told her, "You'd make an incredible adventurer. I can tell that you have a strong soul and an incredible will." At the time, Aura didn't really know what the words meant, but as she grew older, those words became her sole motivator to become an incredible adventurer. When she had the time to practice being an adventurer, she did with all of her might. She learned how to fight with a longsword in a decent way. Although she was sure that her fighting style had some flaws. She now is trying to find a prestigious familia to join so that she can become the best adventurer in the world.

    Personality: Schadel is a man who respects those who prove themselves. It doesn't matter what they are the god of or what they do, if they do it well enough to be recognized for it, then they have earned his respect, though he has to see it to believe it. He treats everyone Neutrally, except for his enemies, and will not disagree nor agree with anyone based on personal connections. He likes to assist those in his familia, whether it be in combat or otherwise, and if he can't help that person, he'll ask another god to help in his stead so that those in his Familia get all the assistance they need. He accepts anyone into his familia, whether they be combat Orientated or not, and does not like when people are treated differently. If he see's discrimination of any kind he'll don his Skull Made Kite Shield and Mace and beat the discrimination out of them. He also has an odd obsession of collecting the skulls of those he has killed. He won't collect the skill of another god or human unless he classifies them as an enemy to all.

    Aspirations: Schadel aspires to help everyone in his familia to become the best at what they do, be it combat or not.

    History: Schadel has lived a very violent past, as he has spent almost all of his days in the dungeon, legends say that he was able to go past the 59th floor and beyond, but he has yet to deny nor accept these legends as truth. He likes to keep most of his past to himself, though he will readily tell you of the many great fights he has had over the years. He's the son of a God of Swords, Shields, and Maces, and Goddess of Cooking, Sewing, and Family.

    Familia: She welcomes anyone into her Familia and treats them as her family, with her as their Mother. (Anyone can join, just tell me when you have her as your familia and i'll add them to her Familia List)

    Personality: Drago is a very Motherly person and is in reality a Mama Bear. While she is fine with her Sons and Daughters being hurt by Monsters or during Training/Sparring (She believes it builds character) she does not like it when Humans, Sub-Humans, or even other Gods, hurt her Familia, accidental or not. On multiple occasions Humans and Sub-humans have been sent to the Hospital because of them mistreating her Family. She think of all species, Human or Sub-Human, in equal lighting, and all of them in her familia, Human or not, are treated as family. She does not tolerate infighting in her familia, and if it does happen anyway then she will either have them personally Spar with her, or have her twin dragons Heilen (Heal) and Liebe (Love) take care of the problem.

    Aspirations: She just wants to see her Sons and Daughters happy.

    History: Drago was born to a God of Dragons and Combat and a Goddess of Spears and Shields, she was trained in combat since she could walk and never experienced Love of any kind, only Discipline. Because of this she latched onto every book and scroll that described familial love and learned form them almost religiously. Because of this, she tries to give all of those in her familia and even other gods as much of her Family Love as she can, so that she can spread what she herself did not have.

    Ah, whoops. Apparently you're right. ^^; Still, I don't completely understand what that means or what stat I should put in, since I'm choosing a Hume Bunny, could one of the GMs clarify? Also, I don't understand how weapons work, do they start out with their own or are they given something?
     
  17. I'm not sure about weapons, but I do know how to distribute the stats. In the Agility category, you'll add ten points. That means your starting Agility will be 20. Every other stat will be 10.

    @AllThePasta Since Chaosheart asked, what is the situation with weapons?

    Appearance: (Picture or Description works fine) Marzipan is short, standing at 4’10” and has a bit of a pudgy face. Don’t let her baby face fool you, though, she does many things to keep herself in shape and has a lot of muscle on her. Her hair is a very light blonde, almost platinum blonde, along with her fur on her ears. Her tail, meanwhile, is all white in fur color. Said hair is in a pixie cut, as short as possible without looking bald or ridiculous. Her dark brown eyes are generally fierce and smoldering, her glare something one usually doesn’t forget. Her clothing consists of a light material that is a soft sand color. For a weapon, she carries a short sword that is well kept.

    Age: 22

    Level: 1 (All Characters start at Level 1)

    Race: Demi-Human/Hume Bunny

    Character Type: Adventurer

    Personality: Marzipan is as tough as nails and quite proud of her race. Her temper is high and can get the better of her at times, butting heads with everyone that looks down on her or her kind, whether it be just a human or an all powerful god. She doesn’t back down from a challenge quickly and others need to rein her in if she spots something that would look to be a worthy opponent. Still, she has an optimistic look when it comes to adventuring and wouldn’t hesitate to rally teammates against a monster if she thinks they can be defeated. She will prove to be the hunter and not the hunted in any given situation. It takes time for her to like someone, she’s not the kind to take an instant liking to people.

    Aspirations: To show that not all Hume Bunnies are like rabbits, shy and fearful, and that they can fight as well as any other.

    History: Marzipan Loaf was the fourth child among seven children. She felt some insecurity being ignored, so she did many things to attract attention, some good, some bad. Her parents were usually exasperated with her and her attention seeking, but they still loved their daughter nonetheless. She wouldn’t let any of her older siblings bully her, nor would she stand it when one of her siblings got bullied in turn.

    Truthfully, Marzipan was not content with being just the daughter of the local baker. No, she wanted something to light up her dull life. That something came in the form of an old Hume Bunny that wandered into town when she was thirteen. She was immediately awed by the many scars he bore and his weapon, a mace. Just his appearance made her want to do something, though she had no idea what. When asking him, she sat down and listened to his stories of his adventures intently, eyes wide and hopeful. This was her calling, to slay monsters and make a living off of that. She begged the old man to teach her how to fight and he did, due to her spirit.

    He gave her about five years’ worth of training before he felt that she was ready to go out into the world and make her name. Eager to get her journey started, she went to the local blacksmith to gain a decent weapon made for her. The blacksmith lent her a short sword that never really got used for that purpose. With spirits high, she went out into the world on her own, bidding a tearful goodbye to her family as she did so.

    Ect: Her siblings are also named after desserts and pastries, apparently her parents have a very big sweet tooth and the like.
    Her family got their last name because they ran the local bakery.
    Of her siblings, her screams are the loudest.

  19. At the beginning everyone has a short sword, and thats it, no special armor or anything.
