D.A.P.P.E.R [OOC and Signup]

Name; Wilbur Reinhardth
Appearence; A 1,78 m tall man with a mesomorhpic body structure and a square shaped face. He has a somewhat lean complexion and an olive-colored skin. When he is not undercover, he usually has a short black hair and deep blue eyes, with a small scar on the left eyebrow. His ears are a bit smaller than of a regular caucasian, and his jaw is long. Sometimes, he might have a 5 o'clock shadow covering his cheeks. Due to his somewhat advanced age, he has some very noticeable wrinkles on his forehead and around his eyes.

Brief Background; Coming from a rural Austrian background, and son to an austrian mother and british father, Wilbur is a former member of the Gendarmes, but he left after a few years of work due to an incident during one of his operations; he never talks about it, but it is implied that this was the main reason why he started working for USSR .

During his years as a spy for the Reds, he visited a lot of different places, specifically USA and the allied countries, and has adquired a wide range of skills that allowed him assume any kind of identity.

But then, after 15 years of work for the Russians, he decided to retire to peacefully live with his wife and son somewhere in Siberia, just to return and see his family killed under "mysterious circumstances" and his village burnt to ashes. Since then, he searched for the killer to get his revenge, but soon he realized that there was something more powerful and dangerous involved into all of this...

He stumbled with the DAPPER project by accident during his investigations in Berlin, but it didn't stop him from enlisting into the group immediately when he met them.

Skills will include:
Area of Expertice; Diplomatic Liason
Major skill; Spying
Minor Skill; Costume Making (that includes voice faking, beard and hair make-up, eye coloring and other costume related stuff), Lockpicking

Inventory will include;
Weapons; TT- 33, (possibly) an easy-to-conceal dagger.


Specialized Equipment; A set of lockpicks he usually keeps hidden in the right sleeve of whatever suit he is wearing at that moment;

Extras:
- Wilbur is left-handed.
- He is a pro-communist, and also he is inevitably an atheist because of that.
-He can speak a wide range of languages, the most prominent being russian, spanish, english, german and french.

Info about myself:
-Due to the busy schedule that I currently have, I usually try to make at least a post a day ( or more if the posts in question are short).

-I'm not a native English speaker, and even though I know the language fairly well, I'm still prone to make grammatical errors in my posts (mostly due to the inability to find the right word to a certain situation), specially if I want to describe something in detail without repeating too much the same words all over again. That being said, I would be really grateful if you pointed out any major flaws in my writing (but it's not necessary)

Really? This is the 60s. I'd think the communism would be the bigger issue. We had both in America at the time, and while we didn't like the atheists, we hated and feared the communists.

My character is neither American nor paticularily pro money.

Religion is important to her, though
 
D.A.P.P.E.R is international though. Communists was far from loathed across Europe. In some places they were, but other places socialistic values were being integrated with capitalist ones.
 
Okay. Wow. There really is going to be tension in the group then. Granted, my character won't let that bother him in during a mission (he'll be otherwise preoccupied of course) but between missions I see a lot of tension and avoidance.
 
All the better, tension can lead to... complications. My Romanian isn't to fond of Commies. Mainly becouse Romania was treated terribly by Russia after the war.

Since this RP is heavy into religion and the paranormal, I feel like our group will be more adverse to our right Atheism over communism. It should be good though. I like character conflict.

Good point. I imagine it would be a little hard to be an atheist with everything going on in D.A.P.P.E.R.
 
I can say right now, that several in the top brass are basicly going "Fuck religion" becouse they know 'gods' exsisted in some manner, but not even close to what people are being tought. I bet some of them are just dreading to find a actual angel and try to explain why its not a superbenovelent creature of perfection to politicians. And that anything close to a god might just a be a dickish, powerfull entity from another dimension.

For sure. Especially for my character who is Evangelical. His theology has been rocked to it's core. What used to be a simple and practical belief is now complicated and chaotic. I also just remembered that my guy fought in WWII, so he does hate commies!

And with top brass not liking "God" very much is going to make it hard for him to hold his faith!
 
Not as much as Nazis I bet. Ooh! We should totally have Nazi zombies!
