    Welcome!
This is the page for members of Cyberleaf City to post Detailed CSes for their characters, which count as a character's finalized version. For more information for new members make sure to read on.

    What We're Looking For
    Numbers
We're looking for a solid group of imaginative and open-minded people. It's preferable that each person take on multiple characters in different environments, but also understandable if some can't handle that much all at once. I am also open to joint GMing on this story for those who are serious, reliable, and preferably experienced. Just let me know what you can and want to do if you're interested!

    Characters
Most of the necessary characters have been claimed or are still in the works, but we are still accepting more characters to be made. We're hoping to get a mixture of different characters with various backgrounds (preferably less on the Mary Sue/Gary Stu side), and a combination of both Human and Mythic characters. Mythic characters ARE allowed to have kemonomimi or hybrid bodies, but full on furry is a bit too far. That said, we currently have a serious imbalance of characters, so please take our current balance into consideration moving forward. If you need a note for inspiration, keep in mind that Humans tend to have more room for variety in their magic versus Mythics, and also tend to have more familiarity with modern technology than most Mythics, so use that to your advantage. Anime or similarly stylized artwork is preferable for character appearances. There is both a Simple CS and a Detailed CS. The Simple CS is designed for creating the initial backbone for the character quickly, allowing room for discussion and growth on the character's overall design and history. Anyone whose simple character profile got approved will now have to fill out the Detailed CS with more information to post, with all new information added in.
    • All Simple CSes that have been approved and are cleared for being made into Detailed CSes can be seen on this tab.
    • The Detailed CS sheet can be copied on this tab.
    Activity
While staying active is very important to keep any RP relevant, interesting, and, well, alive, I do know that people have lives outside Iwaku. With this in mind, I think it'd be safe to set up a 1 week posting deadline for all members with special exceptions for special circumstances; that is to say, each person must post within 1 week from the previous post. That being said, I can also see this deadline being too strict for some, so let me know if that's the only thing putting you off from joining and we can discuss a more reasonable deadline. While I'm on the subject of posting, I'd also like to mention that all posting will be done in a pre-determined order. Members may post as all their characters in a single post, or they may split their characters between multiple posts at their own discretion so they don't have to type as much per post. The latter format will result in multiple turns for anyone who chooses that option, which will be kept separated for the sake of flow. When everything is set up and established just let me know your preferred method and I'll take it into account when determining the posting order. As for the order of posts, we can discuss having it be randomly determined via RNG or intentionally organized based on events in the story after everything's officially set up.

    Inquiries
If you have any questions about the story or anything else concerning it then please do ask and I'll do my best to answer it. Anything I don't have an answer for can obviously be discussed more at length with the group. All questions, comments, and applications should be responded to within 48 hours or less.

    Juushirou Yukimura
Occupation: Student; 3rd year in high school (12th grade)

    Gender: Male

    Age: 18

Race: Hybrid; part Youko on his mother's side

    Relevance: High

    Combat style: Magus swordsman

Personality: He's a kindhearted, trusting, and outwardly sociable person; often fairly laid back in demeanor. He is friendly to most, but some people might find it difficult to get into his inner ring of close friends because of his tendency to treat most people the same. The major difference in his treatment of his close friends is that he will actively spend time with them outside of classes and he will always have their cell number. Occasionally he may even stage fake fights with some of his close friends in order to mess with other students that don't know about them, such as when starting a school year in a new classroom or something. This may lead people to have the impression that he and his friend are violent, until they start shaking hands, hugging, crying with joy, laughing, etc. He is also the type who almost obsessively dotes over his younger sister, despite her being in high school now. This can sometimes lead to the impression that he has a sister complex, which he will usually deny. Lastly, he has a fairly strong sense of justice and will do what he can to protect others, especially those he really cares for. This can sometimes put him in serious, life-threatening situations, but he is usually fairly capable of reading the situation and avoiding drawing out fights he can't win.

    Relationships:
    • Satoshi Yukimura: Father, Great relationship; he loves, respects, and looks up to him
    • Kyo Yukimura: Mother, Great relationship; he loves her dearly, although he is a bit afraid of her after his traumatic experience
    • Ryouko Yukimura: Younger sister, Great relationship; he loves and cares for her dearly, always wanting to make her happy and keep her smiling
    • Yuichi Yukimura: Older male cousin, Strained relationship; he tries to get along with him but doesn't seem to succeed much
    • Ayaka Hamasaki: Childhood Friend, Neighbor, Great relationship; he's known her since they were little, so they tend to spend a lot of time together
    • Daichi Imagawa: Childhood Friend, Great relationship; they met in grade school and got along really well ever since
    • ??????? ???????: Childhood Friend, Dead relationship; they met in grade school and got along well, but then something happened and they haven't seen each other since, although Juushirou thinks of him often

    Satoshi Yukimura
Occupation: Cyberleaf Municipal Accountant (retired Guard Force Official)

    Gender: Male

    Age: 48

    Race: Human

    Relevance: Medium

    Combat style: Final Boss

Personality: He's a fairly serious and intense person, but he typically acts relaxed and fairly carefree. That said, he sometimes has a bit of a standoffish demeanor toward certain people that cross him. When he's at home around his family his general attitude is like looking at a completely different person; around them he's cheery, loving, supportive, and highly animated. All in all, he's very serious about following his sense of right and wrong, and made it a point to pass it on to his children and also attempted to pass it on to his nephew. He uses a lot of outdated slang.

    Relationships:
    • Kyo Yukimura: Beloved wife; he's absolutely smitten with her
    • Juushirou Yukimura: Son, Great relationship; he's very proud of him and loves him dearly
    • Ryouko Yukimura: Daughter, Great relationship; he loves her dearly
    • Yuichi Yukimura: Nephew, Strained relationship; tries to show he cares but is typically shut out
    • Contessa Moretti: Former colleague, Good relationship; thinks she acts a bit childish towards him sometimes but enjoys her company and respects her passions and sense of justice
    • (More as info develops)

    Yuichi Yukimura
Occupation: Student; Guard Force University Senior

    Gender: Male

    Age: 21

    Race: Human

    Relevance: High

Combat style: Niten Ichi-ryū (two heavens as one; weilding two Japanese swords -katana and wakizashi- together)

Personality: He's a very justice-bound person, holding fast to his beliefs that all people are born equal and should be treated as such. That being said, he has a conditioned disdain for and distrust in Mythics, and anything related to them. This basically means he doesn't seem them as equal to people, but rather as humanity's sworn enemy. He won't hate people for using their magic, but he will hard line reject them using it anywhere near him as he doesn't trust that the magic won't someday backfire horribly. To him the only things worse than a Mythic are a Hybrid and a Human who loves a Hybrid; he sees them as traitors to the Human race. Overall he's a fairly serious person, but can also be fairly kind as long as he believes he's speaking with an "untainted" Human. Being the diligent worker he is, he's very refined in combat and also gets top marks in his education.

    Relationships:
    • Parents: He loved and cared for them deeply. He had a lot of respect for his father, and to this day aspires to follow in his footsteps
    • Satoshi Yukimura: Uncle; thinks of him as disgraceful for marrying a Mythic Hybrid and quitting his career as a Guard Force member to start a family and distrusts him for it all
    • Kyo Yukimura: Aunt; hates her for existing and sees her as a vile temptress trying to help Mythics take control of the human race
    • Juushirou Yukimura: Cousin; hates him for existing, but acknowledges his fear of his Mythic side so he feels there might be some hope for him, but distrusts him nonetheless
    • Ryouko Yukimura: Cousin; hates her for existing and fully expects her to follow in her mother's footsteps in thinning out the Human ranks
    • Contessa Moretti: Godmother; barely knows her other than that she used to work with his dad. He respects her sense of justice shown in her continuation of her Guard Force career, but is unaware that she loves Mythics almost as much as his uncle

Ryouko Yukimura (雪村 龗子) "What's good in the hood, Shirou-nii? Found a gal yet? Mum and dad gettin' antsy here!"
Occupation: Trendy 1st Year High School Girl

    Gender: Female

    Age: 16

    Race: Quarter-Youko Hybrid

    Combat style: Martial Artist

Personality: Fashionable, Gregarious, Practical, Cocky, Mischievous, Levelheaded, Stalwart

    Relationships:
    • Parents: Ryouko is very close to her parents, thinks that they're the cool beans.
    • Juushirou: "Shirou-nii" is also super cool beans. She and him have been very close growing up, and it's clear she admires him. Even when he's being a total doofus of a big bro. Enjoys poking fun at him though.
    • Cousin: If that dumpster of a guy hates your direct family that much, he can take a hike and shove his bigotry right up his -!!
    • Ayaka: Also the cool beans.

Kyo Yukimura (雪村 雩) née Kozaki (狐崎)
Occupation: Shrinekeeper, Exorcist, Part-Time Financial Advisor

    Gender: Female

    Age: 49

    Race: Mythic (Half-Youko Hybrid)

    Relevance: Medium

    Combat style: Extra Stage Boss

Personality: A woman who follows the beat of her own drum, Kyo Yukimura could be easily described as an eccentric, especially given that her behaviours and attitudes are sometimes foreign to her human acquaintances. Indeed, growing up biracial was difficult for Kyo, who leaned more strongly into her Youko heritage to compensate for her identity issues and the racism she faced throughout life. She has a strong appreciation for her individuality and background, and in her role as a community leader does her best to help guide people through the same predicaments that she once experienced. Like her daughter, she is a committed anti-racist. However, at times she can be forgetful and a bit myopic, taking the exceptional traits she possesses for granted and assuming that others can do the same as her. At other times, she can be a bit of a whirlwind (even if her demeanour is calm and serene), accidentally throwing people off by taking to a task with her own, unique flair.

And Kyo is very much serious about her goals. She puts her all into things, whether it be work, family or love. Few customers have been dissatisfied with her exorcisms and financial advice, and she is incredibly devoted to her two children, raising them as best as she can and passing on her culture. And she is entirely smitten with her husband. After all, she did follow him to finance school after she fell in love.

    Relationships:
    • Satoshi:
      朝宿髪 吾者不梳 愛 君之手枕 觸義之鬼尾
I will not comb my morning hair:
      your loving arm, my pillow,
      Has lain under it.

      [Manyoshu, 2578]
    • Juushirou: Kyo loves her son. She dotes on him. She would give anything to make him happy, to keep him safe. That's why it hurts, knowing he's so scared of her. It hurts, knowing how frightened he is of her heritage - his heritage. It hurts, knowing that she wasn't able to keep him and his friend safe. It hurts that she couldn't be there for him. Sometimes, she feels like a failure of a mother. But, she's still his mother. And she will never stop loving him.
    • Ryouko: Kyo sees herself in her daughter. That's why she will always be there for Ryouko, asking about her day, making sure she's okay, and simply being someone to confide in when things get difficult. She loves Ryouko. But at the same time, she won't dote on her too much. Ryouko is more than just her beloved daughter; she's also her beloved student. Kyo will train Ryouko to the best she can. She will train her little girl to be someone great. Someone who can straddle their two worlds with head held with pride.
    • Yuichi: She doesn't like him. Even if she wants to like him, even if he is her beloved's nephew ... she can't bring herself to like someone so full of hypocrisy, so full of bigotry, so full of hate. A part of her hopes that one day, maybe, Yuichi can call her "auntie". But now, she cannot like him. She meets those young eyes so full of rage with divine ice, and answers: she will not leave Satoshi, and she will never, ever let him hurt her children.
    • Suzume: Kyo gets along with Suzume Imagawa, given the friendship between their children, though whether or not they could consider each other friends isn't a question she's particularly dwelled upon. She's respectful and considerate of the other woman, and would be willing to help out in any way (especially if it pertains to Daichi). However, she does wish that Suzume refrain from flirting with Juushirou, no matter how joking her intentions.
    • Daichi: Kyo thinks that Daichi is a good boy, if a bit reckless. She's a fan of his card tricks. Sometimes, they play koi-koi together. And when he inevitably ends up in trouble, she is just as willing to bail him out as she would for her own children. If he needs alcohol, she'll supply him with some as well.
    • Ayaka: Kyo treats Ayaka like a second daughter. She is always happy to receive the girl's food offerings, and always airs out the futon in Ryouko's closet whenever Ayaka comes by to visit. If Ayaka needs alcohol, she'll supply her with some as well.

    Santao, Kisho
(I know the picture is not the proper creature. I liked it though. So, ignore the tale, add jagged slices to either side of his mouth that he covers with the scarf, often in the style of a Niqab.)

    Occupation: Student, 2nd year

    Gender: Male

    Deciel "010" Ad Lucem
    Occupation: Student, 1st year

    Gender: Male

Age: ~27 (Actual Age), ~17 (Years Conscious)

    Race: Artificial Mythic: Seraphim

Combat style: Wings & Arcane Geometry

Personality: Abnormally quiet and doesn't seem to be intimidated by much, often acts clueless towards the most basic aspects of society. Has both unconventional fears and likes that seem incomprehensible to most. Sometimes will refer to himself as "we" instead of "I".

    Relationships:
    • [**TBD**] "011" Ad Lucem: "Triplet brother", a hikikomori who refuses to talk to anyone other than his brothers
    • [**TBD**] "009" Ad Lucem: "Triplet brother", often tries to encourage the others to open up more
    • Mina Igarashi: Guardian, advocate for international Mythic Rights, currently a member of the Cyberleaf Guard Force

Alupheaux Ad Lucem / Hyohaku (氷舶)

    Occupation: Cyberleaf Guard Force/Teacher

    Gender: Male

    Age: Unknown

    Race: Apotheosized Seraphim

    Relevance: Medium-High

Combat style: Holy Magic, Wings with feathers that are magically augmented

Personality: Confident and determined due to his abundance of experience, though often a bit aloof. Despite that reputation, he acts very differently towards different people, being very gentle and caring to other Mythics while ruthless when disposing of his enemies. He was once charismatic diplomate who preferred peaceful resolution, but experiences and betrayal eventually lead him away from that path. Currently, he prefers to work alone and is resentful towards building up relationships, and is often distrustful of humanity. His lack of trust and relations also caused his stubborn reluctance to share any of his planning and issues with others, being overconfident in his own abilities to resolve those things. This can often make him seem unnecessarily childish at times, with tendencies to act unpredictably.

    Relationships:
    • The Ad Lucem System: The series of clones that were created based off of him, which he originally planned to put down, though ultimately decided against it. He holds a grudge against their creators but cannot exactly quantify his feelings about the clones themselves.
    • High Ranked CGF Member (s): He anonymously provided a lot of support to the CGF since its earliest days, his deeds were only known to more senior members of the organization, but it helped him secure his current position.
    • To be added.

    Vinno Senkei (線硅 ビンノ)
Occupation: Cyberleaf Guard Force - Field Researcher, Graduate Student

    Gender: Female

    Age: 21

    Race: Human

    Relevance: Medium-High

Combat style: Trapping Caster - Utilizes a portable computer that is used to calculate and replicate traditional Mythic casting circles, then activating them via projections. A method that sacrifices the variety of magic for faster casting. Specializes in teleportation portals and pre-set traps.

    Personality:
Seemingly apathetic, she has trouble empathizing or comprehending the emotions of others. Despite that she is a visionary when it comes to Mythic magic and magitek. Her forward thinking often makes her seem a bit bizarre and unconventional with most aspects of life. Most of the time she is bit distant and loves talking to herself with fancy vocabulary, she often overestimates how much technicalities others around her can understand. Pragmatic and calculating when it comes to opinions of others, including Mythics, thinks that if Mythics has useful qualities there's no reason to not integrate them into various things.

    Relationships:
    • Yuichi Yukimura: Is friends with him for his fighting style, admires his determination to better himself. Thinks his dismay for Mythics is irrational but accepts it as long as it does not interfere with their duties.
    • Shion Senkei: Father, where she got most of her personality and passion for magic research. The two get along well but doesn't meet often due to their workaholic natures.
    • To be added.

    Darasv “Vaeri” Vendomiir

    Age: 17

    Race: Mythic (Dragon)

    Relevance: High

Combat style: Twin swords of flame and ash (Fights with twin swords while supplementing it with fire magic, ash is for cloaking and blinding. Fun fact: incorporates dancing into his moves)

Personality: Outwardly cold and silent, choosing to be mute. Often writes out his words rather than speaking and prefers to use gestures. Battle hardened and weary of fighting, yet continues practicing out of fear against attacks. Would sometimes get a blank expression on his face, only his eyes betraying any emotion whether it be sadness or longing. He usually pushes himself away from family to do his own thing, though he does wish things could have been different and that he could be closer to them, get to know them more, except for the spoiled brat. His father is not an issue since he’s dead. Secretly has a love for the arts rather than fighting due to his mother and sister and would prefer entertaining people for them to smile to bloodshed, his nickname meaning “dancer” in ancient draconian language though it’s one he hides from most people unless he very much trusts them. Constantly struggles with the cold blooded killer part of him, being from the front lines of Beast slaying, and the part of him that wishes to embrace the “womanly” desire to perpetuate Mythic arts. Due to this, often hates himself for the weakness he has but is unable to give up and the personality he built up over the years to cope with battling all his life.

    (Inara Kanaan)
Occupation: Guard Force University Student, Junior

    Gender: Female

    Age: 20

    Race: Hybrid - Half Djinn

    Relevance: Medium

Combat style: Weaponized: twin arabic scimitars ; Hand-to-Hand: Kickboxing style

Personality: Quiet but calculating, and secretly sinister. Inara lacks social skills but is always listening. She has a firm belief in the justice system; however she tends to want to dispense her own form of punishment. For innocents, she acts friendly or generally apathetic - which is a good sign.

    Relationships:
Mother - Aziza Kanaan: Djinn. And a proud one at that. Yes, Inara was given her mother’s last name. The matriarch in a matriarchal family.
Father - Itsuki Himura: Human. A very calm, easy-going man who gets dragged along for most things in his life. That includes his marriage.
Yuichi Yukimura: Classmate in the Guard Force University. Considering his just nature and considerable combat skills, Inara actually looks up to this classmate and strives to be more like him. However, his disdain for everything mythic makes her twitchy and irritable.

    Daichi Imagawa

    Occupation: Part-Time Student, Third Year

    Gender: Male

    Age: 19

    Race: Human

    Relevance: High

Combat style: Spellslinging - HoloCard Medium

Personality: Depending on who you ask, Daichi is either the cool kid who's always got a smirk and a story for the people he talks to, or he's a rowdy troublemaker with no respect for authority. Both and neither are true at the same time, since it's never that simple with Daichi. He's definitely got that snarky, devil-may-care attitude that so infuriates his instructors and amuses his peers, but he's also got a lot of heart and spirit. The things that Daichi is passionate about, he is passionate about, and will defend those things to the ends of this plane if he has to. One of those things are his close friends, his true friends - more than the myriad friendly acquaintances he makes just through his extroverted personality. Even still, Daichi never misses an opportunity to playfully tease his friends. Always up for a spot of mischief, but ever is he a true and stalwart friend. That is Daichi.

    Relationships:
    • Suzume Imagawa: Daichi and his mother have a complicated relationship. They're friendly and amiable as any parent-child dynamic should be, but it almost seems as if the roles are reversed, seeing the two interact. Where Suzume seems to act slightly mischievous and catty, Daichi feels the compulsion to rein her in, especially with friends around. It's not uncommon for her to act flirty towards Daichi's male friends - if they're legal age, of course! That said, it's not impossible for Suzume to act her age, and is surprisingly kind and wise when she puts her mind to it.
    • Hayato Nori: Daichi rarely speaks of his father, who was abusive and short-tempered before Suzume divorced him and forced him to leave. Naturally, Daichi harbors a deep resentment of the man, though he hardly ever lets it color his day-to-day life.
    • Juushirou Yukimura: Shiro-kun - or "Yuki-chan" when he's feeling particularly playful - is perhaps, before all others, Daichi's best friend, though he won't earnestly admit it; usually dancing around the issue by calling him "best buddy" or something equally as silly to downplay the immense respect he has for his technical junior. Of course, the subject of whether he's actually Shiro's senior is a topic of heated-yet-friendly debate between the two, as the only reason that Daichi is older than Shiro is just that his birthday happens earlier in the year. Aside from that, Daichi feels a certain responsibility toward him, as though Shiro were the brother he never had.
    • Ryouko Yukimura: While he's on friendly terms with Shiro's sister, Daichi wastes no opportunity to tease her for being the "spoiled little girl" of the group. Despite this, however, Daichi is more than willing to put differences aside for the sake of getting up to greater mischief, and every time there's some grand disturbance it's usually because of them. Fifty percent rival, fifty percent partner-in-crime.
    • Satoshi Yukimura: Daichi's relationship with the man was ever one of utmost respect, even before he agreed to tutor him in the magical arts. Satoshi-san felt practically like an uncle to him, and seeing how he acted with his family almost made Daichi long for his own relationship with his father to not have turned out so badly, but that also comes with the caveat of his father being less of an ass.
    • Yuichi Yukimura: Absolute trash man. Daichi never misses an opportunity to muck up Yuichi's plans, and picks fights with the older cousin constantly. Fights that he has almost universally lost, but that'll never stop Daichi from protecting the honor of his friends.
    • Ayaka Hamasaki: As a fellow member of the Yukitomo - Daichi's word for the friend group he shares with Shiro - Ayaka enjoys similar privileges to that of Shiro. Namely, the "comrades-in-arms" sort of mentality that Daichi has towards their little circle. He tends to tease her about her sleeping habit, but he always knows when to back off.
    • ??????? ???????: A painful memory that Daichi would rather not remember, because of the uncomfortable mixture of sadness and anger remembering that family brings up.

    Kyou Sasaki
Occupation: Guard Force University Junior; Part-Time Teahouse Attendant

    Gender: Androgynous Male

    Age: 20

    Race: Human

    Relevance: High

Combat style: Archery - Technologic Arrowheads; Martial Arts - Taekwondo

Personality: Most would see Kyou as a cold, calculating individual, and while that's partially true he's more just quiet and calm in all manner of situations. He plays his cards close to his chest, and rarely lets errant emotions slip through unless in a relaxed state. Even then, any emotion he shows is subdued - a light smile here, a slightly furrowed brow there. His enigmatic nature makes him difficult to approach, but ironically it's this same detached demeanor that makes it easy for people to confide in him. He rarely ever speaks, so he's the natural choice for a secret-keeper, right? For his part, Kyou doesn't mind indulging the impromptu confessionals, and in a way it almost makes him feel warm inside - like he's actually making a difference in someone's life. Even still, Kyou knows better than to get too attached, except for one instance...

    Relationships:
    • Yuichi Yukimura: Kyou treats his senior with a high level reverence and admiration, and is noticeably the only one he respects enough to call "Senpai". The question of Yuichi's treatment of mythics and hybrids is irrelevant in Kyou's eyes, as he cares more about Yuichi's personal philosophy. Senpai's determination and will are an inspiration to him, and it's only around Yuichi that Kyou's icy exterior cracks, as it were. There's plenty of rumors as to why this is, but Kyou naturally doesn't care to confirm or deny any of them.
    • Vinno Senkei: While Kyou rarely ever categorizes people with labels like "friend" or "coworker", he does hold a modicum of respect for Vinno as a peer and colleague - as well as a superior. He tends to question some of her decisions at times, but he's known her long enough to understand that she's just wired differently than him. He finds her pragmatism a touch refreshing in the day-to-day, few though their interactions can be.
    • Inara Kanaan: Another peer whom Kyou respects, though more as a sense of kindred rather than peership. Other than Yuichi, Inara is one of the most likely people Kyou would ever feel comfortable confiding in, though due to his nature he tends to not do so often. Even with this, however, he gets an odd, uneasy feeling whenever she and Yuichi interact, but he's never been able to pin it with words so he's never brought it up with either of them.
    • Rie Koizumi: The owner of the teashop that Kyou works at part-time, when he's not at University. Though she's unrelated by blood, Kyou feels toward her as if she were his own mother, although that doesn't really say much in terms of emotional vulnerability. Some might consider his treatment of Rie to be uncaring and disrespectful, but she knows that he's just a heavily conflicted boy with deep-seated issues.
    • The Yukimura Group: Kyou tends to think of them as a collective rather than as individuals, since in his experience he's never seen one without at least one other hanging around. Tends to subconsciously feel a small amount of disdain for Ryouko - or rather, the excessive doting that Juushirou places upon her. Whether this is from jealousy or genuine disgust, Kyou has been unable to resolve. For the most part, however, Kyou tends to just leave them be, though if they challenge Yuichi directly he steps in if Yuichi himself doesn't deal with it first.
    • Kyou's Parents: As far as Kyou is concerned, he doesn't have parents. Any attempts to discern a reason are met with the same disillusioned stare.

    Anchiteze
Occupation: Outdoor Studies Teacher (Part Time Guard Force)

    Gender: Male

    Age: 28

    Race: Human

    Relevance: Medium-High

Combat style: The Eyes Of Confliction: Anchiteze's eyes can see an opponent's ability and make use his ability to give himself the opposite or counter to his opponents. He is also a practitioner of Muay Thai and Bo Staff related martial arts. Other than this he has all the experiences needed of a City Guardsman

Personality: A firm but fair man who values loyalty, he was aware that his eyes are more often than not unsettling and makes sure to keep them covered around his students and peers. He is seldom seen without a combat knife sheathed horizontally across the small of his back as it makes him feel comfortable. He treats each student as an individual, going to lengths to help them with their individual problems as opposed to teaching them as a simple group and letting some fall behind, making him a favourite among many of his students. Though he isn't the Self Defence teacher his lessons are all practical and can be used in real life situations, including but not limited to recreation and combat.

He is often seen as a quiet, gentle and approachable man, never quick to anger but when he does explode it's generally brought with a storm of violence, blood and cruelty. Though he is careful never to show any anger in front of his students, if it is seen that harm has come to them from a third party he will go to lengths to make sure that they are punished. To him, the students that he teaches are each his children and it is his responsibility to make sure that they are protected.

    Relationships:
    • Lita Yakatsume - Ex-Wife, only romantic partner that Anchiteze has ever had. She was his highschool sweetheart that he had doted upon, much to the disapproval of his family. He married her despite his family's thoughts and was happy for 5 years before he went out to defend the city, only to come home to find his wife in bed with his then best friend, who mysteriously disappeared a few days later. He has since then divorced her hasn't seen her since.
    • Yoru Haruda - Adoptive Father, One of the few men that Anchiteze respects wholeheartedly even if they do have differences in opinion he will still listen to his opinion before (usually) dismissing it.
    • Nala Haruda- Adoptive Mother, Anchiteze views her as an evil woman her has on many occasions verbally abused him. Although he doesn't hate her he feels nothing towards her at all other than a general dislike.

    (Yahav Staphos)
Occupation: Ex Guard Force Official, bar-tender, part-time teacher

    Gender: Male (trans)

    Age: 26

Race: Hybrid - He's the child of Greek Mythic Tyche (Goddess of Luck and Fortune) and a human woman

    Relevance: Medium to high

Combat style: Close Hand-to-Hand combat and luck (think Domino from X-men, but without the guns)

Personality: He's not a naturally violent person, but his fighting skills are refined and dangerous. Overall Yahav's a rather calm person who can absorb a lot of chaos and turn things around. He has a relatively positive outlook on life, but just like everyone else he gets stressed and flustered. He doesn't get out much and only recently opened up the small bar that Xylander likes to drink at. Yahav's relatively responsible, but can be a bit forgetful. It's a positive that his luck helps him keep on top of things

Relationships: Xylander Florakis - drinking buddies and long time friends. They grew up together and are relatively close.
Tyche - mother; he doesn't really talk to her much since she doesn't approve of his transition
Unnamed human woman - mother; gave him to Tyche when he was an infant to be raised by Tyche in the mythic realm

    Valkan

    Aramil Nakamura
Occupation: Part-time magic teacher, part-time CGF

    Gender: Male

    Age: 34

    Race: Hybrid, Half Elf

    Relevance: Medium-High

Combat style: Ice spellsword. Speed and precision with the sword from his father, with ice magic to enhance his abilities from his mother

Personality: At first, he may come off as very rude. This is mostly due to his brutal honesty. He never holds anything back, no matter what, and hates when others do. Another detail that may be apparent to people When they first meet him, is that he seems very cold. He is hard to get close to, but once you manage to get past that thick layer of ice, there's a loyal and kind person always ready to help you. This is particularly notable when he has to exercise teamwork with unknown people, being difficult to work with. There is an exception to this however, and that is his students, as he has a soft spot for them. Don't get the wrong idea, he is still strict and harsh, but it is easier for them to get on his good side.

    Relationships:
Hiroshi Nakamura: Father. You might think they dislike each other, as they look rather distant. This couldn't be farther from the truth. They just have developed a relationship in which not many words are needed to show they deeply care about and respect each other.

Naivara Amakiir: Mother. Unlike with his father, Aramil does need to stay in touch with his mother. Otherwise, he knows she would start to worry about him. Being busy with his jobs, Aramil occasionally calls her to catch up, seldom visiting her for the same reason.

    Potential Roles
The following are some character roles that we all came up with for people to claim as desired. I will continue to update this for any characters taken by interested members.

As a bonus note, the current character role balance among completed characters is as follows:
    Humans: 13 Hybrids: 7 Mythics: 12
HS Students: 3 HS Students: 2 HS Students: 8
GFU Students: 3 GFU Students: 2 GFU Students: 0
Guard Force: 4(+1) Guard Force: 0(+1) Guard Force: 0(+2)
    Teachers: 1(+1) Teachers: 0(+2) Teachers: 2(+2)
    Others: 1 Others: 0(+1) Others: 1
As you can see, we are in a desperate need of more Human HS students and non-Human Guard Force members. Please take this into consideration going forward. The following are various character roles that could be filled out. Take a look at them and let us know in the OOC if you want any of them.
    • (Always Accepting) Cyberleaf Guard Force
Being a city surrounded by walls and at risk of invasion by Beasts, obviously there needs to be a collection of guardians who defend the city inside and out. They operate as a large scale task force for dealing with all manner of situations from domestic conflict to Beast outbreaks. Think of them as a hybrid between a police force and SWAT team. Since we're looking for a variety of characters, I felt it'd be interesting to also show the stories of the characters who risk their lives to defend the peace of the city. The only other major detail that needs to be taken into consideration is that 11 years prior to the start of the RP, the head chief of this task force lost his life, and is remembered as a strict but dedicated commander. Characters made for this task force are totally open; anyone interested may use any race or gender for task force members. Having these characters isn't necessarily going to be held as detrimental for the RP to start, but some will need to be introduced eventually.
    • (Available) School Staff
Having a mostly school setting means that we've gotta have at least a couple teacher characters. These characters are primarily meant to just be well established side characters, and are only intended to be taken by those who are invested. Teachers can be any race or gender; it's totally up to the writer to decide. There's only 1 teacher that I will enforce a specific point to their character: the teacher in charge of teaching the students general/group combat classes should either be an active or retired high ranking member of the CGF.
    • (Always Open) Classmates
Having a mostly school setting means that we've gotta have more students than just the small handful we've got so far. Students can be any race or gender; it's totally up to the writer to decide. Basically, this is where people can just go ham with their imaginations.
    • (Available) Mina Igarashi
As a higher up member of the Guard Force, she was given the task of watching over, protecting, and being the primary guardian of the 3 Seraphim clones that were found as the result of some very illegal experiments and now reside in Cyberleaf. Given her position, she is expected to be in her 30s or older, unless specified otherwise in discussion. Appearance is totally up to you should you choose this character. Relevance is expected to be anywhere from Low to High. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @Cresion Breezes as they are the one who came up with the character. Also, it is unclear at this stage whether she is expected to be all Human or not, so consider discussing this as well.)
    • (Available) Arc Ciel
Adoptive father of Guard Force member Lata Lulila, he is expected to be in his mid-late 30s or older. He should have a stable job and personality, but not much else has been specified about him. Appearance is totally up to you should you choose this character. Relevance is expected to be Low to Medium. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @chaosheart13 and discuss details with her as she is the one that came up with the character. Also, it is unclear at this stage whether he is expected to be all Human or not, so consider discussing this as well.)
    • (Available) Amanda Calistan
One of the scientists that raised Lata Lulila for much of her childhood. She is expected to be roughly in her 30s or older, unless specified otherwise in discussion. The two have a mutual respect for each other, and seem to have a fairly neutral to positive relationship. Appearance is totally up to you should you choose this character. Relevance is expected to be Low. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @chaosheart13 and discuss details with her as she is the one that came up with the character. Also, it is unclear at this stage whether she is expected to be all Human or not, so consider discussing this as well.)
    • (Available) Baron Wallenstein
One of the scientists that raised Lata Lulila for much of her childhood. He is expected to be roughly in his 30s or older, unless specified otherwise in discussion. The two have a mutual respect for each other, although Lata often seems put off by him so their relationship is likely awkward at best. Appearance is totally up to you should you choose this character. Relevance is expected to be Low. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @chaosheart13 and discuss details with her as she is the one that came up with the character. Also, it is unclear at this stage whether he is expected to be all Human or not, so consider discussing this as well.)
    • (Available) Garo Daitouku
One of the scientists that raised Lata Lulila for much of her childhood. He is expected to be roughly in his 30s or older, unless specified otherwise in discussion. The two have a mutual respect for each other, although Lata seems to be wary of him so it's likely that his personality is askew or he might have done something to cause her to be cautious of him.
    • (Available) Phila Corbin
One of the scientists that raised Lata Lulila for much of her childhood. She is expected to be roughly in her 30s or older, unless specified otherwise in discussion. The two have a mutual respect for each other, and seem to have a fairly neutral to positive relationship. Appearance is totally up to you should you choose this character. Relevance is expected to be Low. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @chaosheart13 and discuss details with her as she is the one that came up with the character. Also, it is unclear at this stage whether she is expected to be all Human or not, so consider discussing this as well.)
    • (Available) Mario Moretti
One of the scientists that raised Lata Lulila for much of her childhood, as well as the older brother of Contessa Moretti. He is expected to be in his late 40s or older, Human, and has a bad relationship with his sister. He and Lata seem to have a mutual respect for each other, but she fears and dislikes him nonetheless so they don't have a good relationship either. Appearance is totally up to you should you choose this character. Relevance is expected to be Low to Medium. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @chaosheart13 and discuss details with her as she is the one that came up with the character.)
    • (Desired) Yahav Staphos
Close friend and drinking buddy of Xylander Florakis. He is female-to-male transgender, but other than that his personality, appearance, age (with a minimum of late 20s), and even species is up to whoever wants to play as him. Additionally, he could be another teacher character, which would add another layer to his relationship with Xylander as well as relevance to the story, or you could give him some different career like bartender or whatever else you want. Relevance is expected to be around Medium, but you can boost or dampen it if you'd like depending on how much you want to use the character. (Anyone who finds interest in this character, please tag @chaosheart13 and discuss details with her as she is the one that came up with the character. She mentioned that it would be interesting for Magara to be a Greek Mythic, but it's up to you if you want to incorporate that.)
    • (Available) Suzume Imagawa
Mother of Daichi Imagawa, she has a slightly mischievous and catty personality, oftentimes having to get reined in by her only child. She also tends to get flirty with any (of age) male friends that Daichi brings home. Even so, she's an overall kind person, and she does have the capacity to act mature and wise as some might not believe. Her former marriage to Daichi's father was one of frequent fights and cases of domestic violence, ending when Suzume became fed up with the abuse to her and her son and filed for divorce, effectively kicking her now ex-husband out of the house. That said, she earns decent money for herself and is capable of supporting her family of 2 on her own. She also has adequate knowledge of magic, but isn't the most effective teacher. She is acquainted with Satoshi Yukimura, and enlisted his assistance in teaching her son to use magic. Appearance and age for her are totally up to you, however she must be Human. Relevance is expected to be around Medium, but you can boost or dampen it if you'd like depending on how much you want to use the character. Santao, Kisho

Occupation: Student, 2nd year

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Race: Mythic: Kuchisaki-Onna (Yes, onna = woman, but this makes it quite easy to find what I'm talking about.)

Relevance: High

Skills: A budding marksman who combines this skill with a remarkable knack for programming to use the internal system to spot for him while cracking his way into secrets of various groups. Proficient in a variety of firearms that he's had the fortunate access to through his godfather in the Cyberleaf Security force.

Relationships:
  • Santao, Meiko: Mother, Kuchisaki-Onna, owns a newly opened boutique shop, makes all his clothes, great relationship.
  • Kochimaku, Banto: Godfather, human, works for Cyberleaf Guard Force, got Kisho into marksmanship.
  • Amelia Vendomiir: Pen-pal, Dragon, new student as well!
  • (More on request/as the situation arises. Idle note, Kisho is a new to Cyberleaf City.)

Personality: A laid-back introvert with an inherited, critical eye for fashion and a soft passion for technology, shooting, clubbing, and washable tattoos, which ends up giving him a delinquent look.

Background: Kisho would describe his early life as normal. His father was a simple businessman and his mother ran a small clothing boutique, above which they all lived within a small city in Hokkaido. Certainly, there was the twist that he and his mother were Kuchisaki-Onna and hid their faces from everyone, but it took most people long enough to pick up on that fact that they lived fairly peacefully with humans. That was, of course, until his father was arrested on charges of being a serial killer. Of which, he was convicted and summarily executed. While there was no connection between his father's actions and the rest of the family. Distrust and outright hatred scored the remainder of their brief stay before a family friend, and Kisho's Godfather, Banto, invited them to Cyberleaf City. They packed as fast as humanly possible and moved to Cyberleaf City and into a small home that Banto was able to stake out. Now in the process of entering school and restarting his mother's boutique, Kisho prepares to face the next chapter of his life, hoping that his fellow students won't too quickly draw the connection between him and his serial killer father.

Treasured Memories: Every festival that could involve a costume. First rifle lessons with his Godfather. Tech study with his father.

Juushirou Yukimura
Alt Spelling/Meaning: 雪村 十四郎
Given name Juushirou means "14th son" or "Son of 14" from 十 (juu) meaning 10, 四 (shi) meaning 4, and 郎 (rō) meaning son: info source here
Surname Yukimura means "snowy village from 雪 meaning snow and 村 meaning village: info source here

Nicknames: Shiro-kun, Yuki, or Yuki-kun/chan by his friends and classmates, Shiro by his parents, and Shiro-nii by his little sister

Occupation: Student; 3rd year in high school (12th grade)

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Race: Mixed; 1/4th Youko on his mother's side

Relevance: High

Skills: He is able to channel mana throughout his body to strengthen and enhance himself. When he does this, it is characterized by circuit-like streams of light illuminating on his body as if electricity ran through them. These ribbons of light are colored a light shade of blue, almost white. He is also able to push mana into outside objects to change their physical makeup and/or appearance for a period of time, almost like a cross between reinforcement-type and projection-type magic. He will typically use this ability to create swords and other bladed weapons when in combat, but is open to making whatever else might be needed for varying situations.

Relationships:
  • Satoshi Yukimura: "Dad, I think I'm getting the hang of things so far! What else can ya teach me?"
    • Juushirou has great respect, love, and admiration for his father. The man raised him to be fair and just, and helped him through some of his hardest times growing up, and Juushiro feels that he can't thank him enough. He sees the man as his absolute role model, and even though he's barely seen his father's magic in action, he thinks it's super cool and hopes to one day be just as strong. Juushirou's been taking every lesson in magic he can squeeze out of his father towards this pursuit.
  • Kyo Yukimura: "Ehehehe... I can kinda see why Dad likes you, Mom. But seriously, I don't know what you mean by 'follow the ley line' ..."
    • Juushirou loves his mother dearly, but due to a traumatic experience he had growing up he's come to deeply fear the power he's inherited from her. Because she has even thicker Mythic blood than him, his fear of her even outshines his fear of himself. This can be seen in his absolute refusal to do anything that could anger or upset her. He is often jumpy if she ever shows up unexpectedly, and will break into a cold sweat although he'll do his best to act casual like nothing's wrong. The most frequent times he'll drop his guard around her are when she says or does things that are peculiar, because it usually defies common sense and he can't help but find these moments funny and charming.
  • Ryouko Yukimura: "Hey Sis, welcome to High School! Ya get along with your classmates? Make some new friends? Make sure to tell Shirou-nii if anyone bullies you and I'll be right there to help!"
    • Juushirou adores his little sister to the point of coddling her. They've always been close growing up and never really fought with each other. There was no real sibling rivalry between them, and for the longest time the two were inseparable. Juushirou cares for her so much that he'll do anything in his power if it'll make her happy and keep her smiling. Since he started high school he has loosened up and given her the space to be herself and live her own life, but he still dotes over her whenever they are together and will drop everything to help her when she needs him.
  • Yuichi Yukimura: "... I hope you're doing well, Yuichi-san."
    • Juushirou feels very conflicted about his cousin. Oh one hand he wants to get along with him because they're family and he understands the situation with his parents must be unbearable, but on the other hand he's weighed down by the pain and anger that's built up over years of neglect and emotional/verbal abuse being slung at the family. Juushirou also can't forgive him for trying to convince him to despise and disown his family, but at the end of the day he just can't give up on a member of the family.
  • ??????? Kozaki: "Oh, hey... long time no see."
    • Juushirou scarcely remembers the his cousin from his mother's side of the family. He mostly just remembers that she visited occasionally and they would get along alright, but not much else.
  • Ayaka Hamasaki: "Morning Aya-chan~ I swear, whenever you flop over my lap and sleep you lull me to sleep too; not that I'm complaining haha"
    • Juushirou holds Ayaka very dearly as one of his closest friends. The two of them grew up as neighbors, so they were friends since before entering school since their parents would take turns watching the other, dubbed for the kids as playdates. Because of their history he's used to how much Ayaka sleeps, but he still wished she'd at least pay attention in class. Even so, he humors her unconditionally, and will even carry her on his back without complaint if she happens to be asleep when they need to go someplace. Part of the reason he doesn't stop Ayaka, or Aya-chan as he calls her, from napping all the time is because of how bright she is despite sleeping through classes. Besides that, he'd feel like a hypocrite on account that watching her sleep so peacefully gets him tired as well, so instead he just enables her. It also warms his head whenever she dotes on him, so no matter what he wants to make sure she's as happy as can be.
  • Daichi Imagawa: "Yo Dai-kun, you ready for today's big prank? Race you to campus!"
    • Juushirou treasures him just about as much as he does Ayaka. Daichi was the first guy friend Juushirou was able to make, although the method was rather unorthodox; a story that Juushirou finds fun to bring up occasionally in order to tease his brotherly childhood friend. The two hang out all the time, and share an affinity for harmless mischief. While he thinks Daichi, or Dai-kun as he refers to him, can be reckless and hotheaded at times, Juushirou believes that he only has good intentions in mind. He respects Dai-kun's desire to never give up in fights, but when it's obvious to the more cool-headed Juushirou that things are too risky or dangerous he will take actions to pull Dai-kun out of the situation, even if it upsets him. Above all else, Juushirou wants his friend to remain safe.
  • Suzume Imagawa: "Hello Aunt Imagawa! Uh... You're making me kinda nervous..."
    • Growing up around her led to Juushirou being naturally fond of Dai-kun's mom, but as he got older he saw more and more how immature she acted. Nonetheless, he finds the interactions between her and Dai-kun entertaining to watch, and he knows that despite how she usually acts she has her moments when you can't help but respect her. Even so, ever since he turned 18 she doesn't miss the chance to act flirty around him which makes him nervous and uncomfortable.
  • ??????? ???????: "..."
    • Juushirou used to be very close with him as they were best friends in grade school along with Aya-chan and Dai-kun. Everything changed when a tragic accident involving Juushirou left the boy hospitalized in a different part of the city, and since then Juushirou doesn't know whatever became of him. The incident itself is a scarring memory for Juushirou and he never talks about it, but he still clearly remembers the boy's name and thinks of him often. He appreciates that Kyouko and Aya-chan, who weren't present during the incident, and Dai-kun, who was present, don't bring it up these days, but still feels like he shouldn't forget what happened.

Personality: He's a kindhearted, trusting, and outwardly social person; often fairly laid back. He is friendly to most, but some people might find it difficult to get into his inner ring of close friends because of his tendency to treat most people the same. The major difference in his treatment of his close friends is that he will actively spend time with them outside of classes and they always seem to be on the same wavelength, as well as that he will always have their cell number. Juushirou can also be really mischievous, and occasionally he may even stage fake fights with some of his close friends in order to mess with other students that don't know about them, such as when starting a school year in a new classroom or something. This can sometimes put him in serious, life-threatening situations, but he in no way devalues his own life or tries to take on more than he's capable.

Background: Juushirou, and his little sister Ryouko 2 years later, were born to a Human father and a half Youko Hybrid mother. The two were very loving of their children, and did their best to raise the two with a strong understanding between right and wrong. This would lead Juushirou down the path of being a very protective older brother type, even extending that protective behavior towards select others. He seemed almost obsessed with being like a loyal knight in shining armor, a star idol in the eyes of Ryouko. Whenever she was feeling down, he'd do whatever he could to cheer her up. One of these special friends that he also treated specially is Ayaka Hamasaki, who lived nearby. Juushirou would spend most of their days during his preschool and kindergarten ages playing together with Ayaka and Ryouko. When Juushirou reached grade school he made 2 more close friends, one of which was Daichi Imagawa. The fact that he managed to make some guy friends was a surprise to everyone (but especially a relief to his and Ryouko's parents) on account that he grew up looking very feminine spent most of his spare time with girls, which led to him getting the nickname Yuki-chan by his peers back then.

When Juushirou was around 6 years, a certain event happened that not only lost him one of his close friends, but even nearly killed the young boy. It happened on a pretty normal day; Juushirou was spending the day at his friend's house. They were playing a normal game of tag when something tragic but uncontrollable and unavoidable happened. Being that Juushirou is part Mythic, it was inevitable that he would eventually awaken to his latent bloodline power; the unfortunate thing is that it was during this game that it happened. Juushirou happened to be "it" at the time, and as he was chasing after his friend, who was all Human, his Youko blood surged up and power flooded throughout him in bursts. Not realizing that it was happening, Juushirou lunged forward to tag his friend, but since he now had levels of force beyond his control he ended up sending the kid flying into a nearby tree. If that itself wasn't bad enough, the child had also been lit on fire and was burning alive with the tree, screaming bloody murder.

Horrified by what just happened and unable to comprehend how, Juushirou lost all strength in his legs and couldn't do anything but sit there and watch as his friend's parents came running out and put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. Because the Youko's aura was emanating around him, which is characterized as fox fire, the parents thought he was also burning and tried to put out the flames. When the flames refused to subside and he didn't seem to be injured, the friend's parents quickly called his parents and made them take him away from them. Naturally, his parents dropped everything, left Ryouko with Ayaka and her family, and rushed over as the ambulance arrived. In the end, the friend was hospitalized with severe trauma that left him comatose for a while, and his parents ended up moving to the opposite side of the city both so they could live close to a big hospital that would care for their son and so they could be far away from Juushirou. Even after Juushirou's mother administered a special charm that would keep his Mythic bloodline powers in check, the parents never let Juushirou see them to apologize. This whole situation left him somewhat scarred and depressed for a while, but his friends and family eventually managed to help him get past it, at least on the outside. Even so, he totally swore off the release of his Youko powers, and continued to keep them suppressed. To this day he still vividly remembers every horrifying detail of the incident, as well as the injured friend's name, but he never speaks about it and how it's affected him.

Not long after all this eventually simmered down, Juushirou's father began teaching him to use some magic so he had something more on the Human side to distract his thoughts as well as help keep him strong. For a long time Juushirou struggled with it, partially because of the mental scar weighing on him and partially due to having genuine difficulty producing results. One day, when Juushirou was around 8, he and Ryouko were playing at a nearby park. While there, his little sister ended up losing her favorite toy/stuffed animal and began to cry. Wanting to cheer her up, he got her a new one from a claw game, but because it wasn't the same one she continued crying. His intense desire to stop her from crying gave him an idea, so he had her give him the toy/stuffed animal back for a moment. He put all his concentration and willpower into casting his magic, which is of the reinforcement and object form changing type, to make the toy/stuffed animal look exactly like the one that was lost. After all the effort, he produced his first ever successful cast of magic and changed the appearance of the new toy/stuffed animal. The shock of seeing her favorite toy/stuffed animal again made Ryouko excitedly take the thing from Juushirou so she could hug it tight, but upon removal from his hands it quickly reverted to its original shape. Juushirou audibly noticed this, and his acknowledgement lead Ryouko to look again, and cry again. Exasperated, but internally excited that he succeeded, he tried to get her to stop crying; he made a promise that he would turn it back into her favorite toy/stuffed animal whenever she wanted. He only realized after saying this that he had made a promise he might not be able to keep, but since it helped stop her from crying he decided that he would work even harder at learning magic in order to make her happy, and used that goal as his drive down the road. This is a memory that Juushirou to this day holds very dear to his heart, and he still holds Ryouko as his primary drive for improving his magic and combat capabilities even though these days she's become capable in her own rights. Even so, he still does his best to always be the light in her eyes.

Around the same time that Juushirou started working harder on his magic, a new member of the family got introduced to the household. Juushirou and Ryouko have an older cousin named Yuichi who was born from their father's younger brother. Yuichi is fully Human, and was basically taught by his own father to have a serious disdain for Mythics, especially Hybrids. This Uncle was formerly a member of the CGF and died tragically alongside his wife, leaving Yuichi without parents and made to live with the nearest of kin, meaning he moved in with Juushirou's family. Juushirou himself didn't understand why his cousin seemed to hate him, but did his best to get along with him nonetheless to no avail. He always felt it was somewhat cruel of his cousin to neglect or curse his family, especially to go so far as to not touch a bite of the food Juushirou's mom prepared for the family.

These days Juushirou is in his senior year at high school. He often gets into various antics with Daichi and Ayaka, such as pretending the two boys have a grudge against each other at the beginning of the year and chasing each other around the school (usually with Daichi doing the chasing) or other generally harmless pranks to mess with new students and classmates.

Treasured Memories:
  • Making friends with Ayaka
  • Making friends with Daichi and ???????
  • His first time successfully casting magic to make his sister happy

Notes:
  • He grew up looking very feminine, and often gets treated as a girl because of it
  • Because of how he dotes on his little sister, some people tease that he has a sister complex, but he'll usually deny these accusations in a lighthearted and playful manner.
  • He rarely gets upset over things, and when he does it's usually a silent storm.
  • Despite his appearance and carefree attitude, Juushirou is actually fairly intelligent, often placing in the top 5 students of his year during exams, which is often commented on in disbelief by others. Additionally, if people bad-mouth him claiming he doesn't work hard or that he's naturally gifted he'll typically stand there and listen silently but will be very angry inside, especially if the person complaining is using it as an excuse for their own bad grades.

Satoshi Yukimura
Alt Spelling/Meaning: 雪村 聡
Given name Satoshi can mean "intelligent, clever, bright, clear-thinking, quick-witted, wise" from 聡 (sato) pronounced Satoshi: original source info here (entry # 122), additional translations of the kanji sourced here
Surname Yukimura means "snowy village from 雪 meaning snow and 村 meaning village: info source here

Nicknames: Toshi by his wife

Occupation: Cyberleaf Municipal Accountant (retired Guard Force Official)

Gender: Male

Age: 48

Race: Human

Relevance: Medium

Skills: Being a former soldier, he is highly skilled and familiar with various types of guns; able to dismantle, rebuild, and wield most models in use by the CGF with impressive ease. It goes without saying that he's also fairly versatile with a combat knife. A skilled leader able to keep his cool in heated situations, he's an asset to resolving any dangerous situation. With a degree in finance he's also good with numbers and money, enough so that his position as the Municipal Accountant is never put into question despite his method of acquiring the position.

Although he has such skill with weaponry, his true battle prowess comes in his overwhelming magic. He is capable of channeling his mana into the matter of anything inorganic within a radius of a few city blocks and manipulate it at will. Characterized as Matter Manipulation, he's capable of various feats such as reshaping concrete or metal, curving projectile trajectories, causing explosions from thin air, and even intensifying the sensation of gravity via pressurizing the air around his targets. It isn't impossible for him to manipulate organic matter with his mana, but the process is typically impossible to do neatly and scarcely can be undone so he finds it unethical. He will only use his power in this manner if the strategy is to completely destroy the enemy with no chance of counterattack, survival, or recognition, and is usually reserved for fighting Beasts.

Relationships:
  • Kyo Yukimura: "Love, you know you're the ginchiest and I love your poetic side, but we gotta get up... Okay, maybe five more minutes."
    • Absolutely twitterpated and head-over-heels for his wife. Whenever the two are together they're totally smitten with each other, and rarely ever fight. The two met back when he worked for the Guard Force, and although they took longer than most to get together they always had a thing for each other. He loves how romantic she is, as well as how intelligent and level-headed she is. Obviously she's built like a brick house in his eyes, but the cutest part about her by far is when she has her moments of airheadedness. That said, he's always there to comfort her whenever she feels inadequate or depressed; always assuring her that she's doing a great job and parenting isn't the easiest task to get right the first time.
  • Juushirou Yukimura: "Good job Kiddo, you're getting the hang of it. Keep on keepin' on and we'll move on to the next step."
    • Brimming with pride in the kind of person his son has become. While the uneasiness Shirou feels towards Kyo concerns him, Satoshi is aware of and understands the reasons why. He has done his best over the years to support his son and give him the building blocks to overcome his trauma someday. Whenever the boy shows that intense grit and determination to learn more and improve in the magic he teaches him, it fills Satoshi with pride and joy for how phat the boy is. The one thing he regrets concerning his son is that he couldn't give him a more creative name after his wife insisted he be the one to name him.
  • Ryouko Yukimura: "How's it hangin', Squirt? Highschool already? Man, I remember when you started on foam domes like it was yesterday. So, met any buttered stud muffins you're interested in yet?"
    • His little princess, he adores how earnest and caring she is, like her brother. He sees a bit of himself and Kyo in the girl with how level-headed and fab she is, and he's glad she was able to curb from more canceled stamp tendencies compared to her childhood. That said, he feels conflicted since he also wishes they could've helped her avoid being a bit of a Stella, but he chalks it up to nobody's perfect and she could honestly be worse than she is.
  • Yuichi Yukimura: "Hey Yu, I know you may not like me but I hope you're made of shade."
    • Satoshi's relationship with his nephew is very similar to what it was with his brother. When the latter passed away in that tragic incident, Satoshi was the first to offer the orphaned child a home. He hoped to make up for his lost connection with his brother by having a stronger bond with his nephew, but things didn't turn out as he'd hoped. Satoshi quickly came to discover that not only had his brother instilled his paranoia into Yuichi, but the Beast attack had exaggerated the belief further. The following years became a battle to convince Yuichi otherwise of his beliefs and forge a connection with him, but in the end they weren't able to reconcile before Yuichi moved out and enrolled in the Guard Force Academy to follow down his father's footsteps. Despite them being on bad terms, Satoshi wishes the best for Yuichi and never forgets to send him a gift for his birthday.
  • ??????? Kozaki: ""
    • --------------WIP--------------
  • Ayaka Hamasaki: "Welcome back Ayaka, always good to have you over! Your father and I have been wondering; will you and Shiro ever tie the knot, or is the bank closed indefinitely?"
    • Satoshi is rather fond of Ayaka; thankful for her involvement in the lives of his own kids. He sees how close they all are, and is happy they were able to be close. He treats Ayaka like a second daughter (or would she be the first daughter?), and when he tries to imagine what kind of girlfriend/wife Juushirou would have he can't help but imagine that Ayaka would be the cat's pajamas for him. With that in mind, he openly joins Ayaka's father in teasing her about getting together with Juushirou.
  • Ichika & Itsuro Hamasaki: "Hey neighbors; gimme some skin! Hope everything's hunky-dory over here. If anything comes up, you know who to call."
    • Through being neighbors and arranging play dates for their kids, Satoshi, Kyo, and the Hamasakis have become fairly good friends. Being aware that the other couple had some financial struggles early on, Satoshi has always offered them free financial advice in the hopes of helping them stabilize and reduce the risk of them having to move out, since the kids would probably be devastated to never get to see each other again. As the years passed and their kids grew up to be teenagers, Satoshi grew to enjoy talks with Itsuro concerning the chances of Juushirou and Ayaka getting together and doing the hanky-panky, and what the resulting grandchildren would be like.
  • Daichi Imagawa: "Well if it ain't the Magic Man, Daichi himself! Gotta say, it's your friendship with my boy is totally fly, y'know? I trust you to always have his back."
    • Similarly towards Ayaka, Satoshi greatly appreciates Daichi's involvement in Juushirou's life. He treats Daichi like a second son, and appreciates when Daichi even gets along with his wife Kyo. Because he doesn't pry too much he is actually unaware of how the two boys became friends, but if he were to find out he'd actually find it all hella funny.
  • Suzume Imagawa: "Hey Ms. Imagawa, nothing personal but you'd be doing me a solid by not flirting with my son. With that out of the way, how's it hanging? You down for a group drinking night next week?"
    • He gets along with Suzume for the most part. He's thankful to her for raising Daichi so well despite being a single mom for the latter half of the boy's life, because it was thanks to that that his own son was able to make such a good friend. He's aware of what she'd been through as a result of the nights when the parents would all go drinking together, but he finds her interest in barely legal boys like his own son a bit off-putting. Still though, he has full respect for her strength of character.

  • Hyohaku: "Well, if it ain't old Hyohaku. How's it hanging my brother?"
    • He's heard of the man's contributions to the CGF and has even met him briefly a few times due to his former position. If the two happen across each other now, Satoshi will outwardly approach and treat Hyohaku like an old friend, but internally will be analyzing what he could be up to. If Satoshi sees any form of active hostility, he won't hesitate to prepare for a fight; this is especially true with the knowledge that he is one of very few with the power to rival the incredible Mythic.

Personality: Internally, he's a fairly serious and intense person who always has a strong code of morals backing his decisions. Externally, he acts relaxed and carefree almost to the point of being aloof. All in all, there aren't many things that will anger him, but when he is angered he's ruthless.

Background: Satoshi grew up with a family that was very serious, strict, and one-track-minded. Aside from his parents, he also had an older brother that was also raised in the same environment as him, both basically primed to be soldiers for peacekeeping. The two of them learned a strict moral code from their parents, and though they weren't necessarily comfortable around Mythics they didn't outright refute their humanity either. That said, their parents didn't necessarily advocate for the two boys to get deeply involved with Mythics or magic due to a sense of unwarranted caution. This caution was adopted and escalated by Satoshi's brother, who took to totally distrusting Mythics and adopting the belief that they were responsible for the outbreak of Beasts that plagued the world. Satoshi, on the other hand, took more to the compassionate side of the morals he was taught, so he and his brother naturally did not get along after a certain point although they did put up with each other during family get-togethers.

As if it was written to be their destiny, both brothers made their mark in the CGF as phenomenal soldiers early into their careers. Due to the age gap, his brother reached a rank of seniority sooner than Satoshi did, all through the merit of his skill with martial arts and various weapons as well as his analytical skills in the heat of action, not that Satoshi himself was a slouch. Quite the contrary, Satoshi himself earned high merits in the CGF for his excellent leadership, empathetic approach to missions, and outstanding solo accomplishments. His brother was more successful in the romance department however as he was quick to marry. This was accomplished because he met his romantic partner early on, as she was a fellow CGF soldier. That said, they were both very dedicated to their work so they didn't have a child until their late-20s. Even so, Satoshi couldn't judge as he himself was still building a relationship with his today wife.

Satoshi first met Kyo when he was around 25; he was on a job that involved what was described as a potentially ethereal threat. Being the leader of the operation, he was warned to take the utmost caution when dealing with this unusual mission. During the mission his team encountered Kyo, who had been hired by locals to exorcise the supposed spirit. Not wanting to upset the locals or give the impression that the CGF were tyrants he chose to work together with Kyo in dealing with the threat, much to the surprise of everyone involved. With her help, the mission was completed successfully without a hitch, and good impressions were made all around. Not long after, Satoshi happened to run into Kyo again. And again. And again! Over the course of a couple months the two had multiple encounters with each other both on the job and off. The on job encounters in particular were hardly surprising though, since he personally requested to take on any jobs of the sort to ensure no other teams ruined the good impressions he had made since he knew that many teams harbored members with less than kindly opinions of Mythics.

After so many times that the two interacted directly with each other, the man eventually asked the fox-woman to date him. She accepted his request, and so their romance began. The beginning was somewhat rough and course, due largely to the fact that Satoshi struggled to separate work mode from social mode, but after a few months of patient progression Satoshi found respect in Kyo's patience and dedication. It was around this point when Satoshi heard of a potential path that, if he took it, would greatly alter the course of his life, and potentially upset the rest of his family. Even so, he was confident that it was the right choice for his newfound interests. There was one problem; he'd need a degree in finance. Steeling himself, he gathered all his necessary documentations, including his transcripts from the Guard Force University. Just before applying for finance schooling, he spoke with Kyo and told her that he was planning to return to school so their time for dates would drastically decrease, leaving out the reason for why. Fully expecting her to be upset, he was surprised when she fully accepted his decision. With renewed vigor, he got accepted and set out to begin his new path. When he began taking classes? Surprise to say that Kyo had decided to follow him to finance school!

Since they both attended the same school for their degrees, the time they spent together naturally increased. As the two progressed in their degrees, their bond grew ever stronger. During the beginning of their senior year, Satoshi approached Kyo's parents alone with an important request, and after receiving their blessings he asked Kyo to marry him. Their ceremony took place during their summer break, and in winter they graduated. During their graduation ceremony, Satoshi admitted to Kyo that the reason he had pursued a finance degree was to stand down from the Guard Force and fill the soon-to-be vacant position of the city's Municipal Accountant. He was using a rather unorthodox method to achieve this position, but he had chosen to do it for her; he wanted a job that didn't have such a high level of danger, even if he was overpowered. He didn't want to bring her concern, and if they ever had a family he didn't want any chance of the kid(s) to have to grow up fatherless. It was at this time his wife admitted to him that she was pregnant, which left them both with joyous news. Satoshi did what he set out to do and started his new job, and with his new pay rate he managed to purchase a 4-bedroom house for them to move into all before their son was born.

When Juushirou was born, it was a memory the two would treasure for the rest of their lives. The only grievance on Satoshi's part was that Kyo insisted he name their newborn son. He's not very good at coming up with names; the simplicity of Juushirou's is evidence of that. Therefore, when Kyo announced a year and a half later that she was pregnant again, Satoshi made it clear that he wanted her to name the child this time. The resulting daughter was named Ryouko, and her birth was another special memory for the family. They lived happily for another 5 years before an incident happened that would put strain on the family relations; the day that Juushirou's Mythic blood awoke.

When it all happened, Satoshi spared no efforts in damage control, doing everything he could to prevent the incident from escalating to the public and assure the parents of Juushirou's friend that it was an accident and that he would get their son the best care the city can provide. When that ended up not being enough to salvage their relations, he could see how heavily it weighed on his son. The boy was visibly scarred and terrified of himself, and after attending some family therapy sessions they were offered a difficult solution; sealing up Juushirou's Mythic powers. Aware that this solution was a devastating suggestion to his wife, Satoshi did his best to comfort her and assure her that he would help their son overcome his fear and accept her side of the bloodline. Step one of his plan: teach the boy to use magic.

During the first two years, the lessons and training seemed to be a struggle. Satoshi worked with his son regularly, but little progress was made. He also trained both of the kids in martial arts to help them defend themselves as they grew older, but the main struggle rested in Shiro's ability to project his magic. This is, until he suddenly started making real progress out of nowhere one day. Satoshi wasn't sure where this sudden advancement came from, but it made him proud that his efforts were bearing fruit. Not long after, however, another tragedy befell their family.

While on duty, Satoshi's brother and and sister-in-law lost their lives during a violent Beast attack, leaving their only son orphaned. Satoshi volunteered to take the boy in, hoping to support him during their loss and build a bond between them that he lacked with his brother. This didn't end up panning out the way he'd hoped though, as Yuichi had become bitter and resentful towards Satoshi after growing up for 11 years under his father's beliefs concerning Mythics and seeing that Satoshi had married a Hybrid. Despite Satoshi's efforts, he never was able to build a bridge over the grudge the boy inherited from his now deceased father.

Notes:
  • He uses a lot of outdated slang. It's hard to tell even for those that know him whether he's aware of how dated his slang actually is.

Yuichi Yukimura

Alt Spelling/Meaning: [optional] (Japanese or other spelling of their name and what it means if applicable.)

Nicknames: [optional] (What nicknames are they known by and by whom?)

Occupation: (What's their job? Student? Teacher? Anything else?)

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Race: Human

Relevance: High-Medium relevance

Skills: (What techniques, abilities, or special attacks do they possess if at all?)

Relationships: (Who do they know and what are their relationships with those people?)

Background: (Tell us a bit about their life up to this point.)

Rasvim Vendomiir

Alt Meaning: Rasvim means "treasure" in draconian: info source here

Nicknames: Ruby to basically anyone she thinks are too simple-minded to pronounce her true name, or are too low-status to have the honor.

Occupation: Student; first year in high school (10th grade)

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Race: Mythic (Volcanic Dragon)

Relevance: Medium-High relevance

Skills: Rasvim is capable of controlling molten earth and magma, cause eruptions from the earth below, and super-heat the earth around her to change it into magma. Naturally, she can control how much she affects, and is totally immune to the affects of heat and fire. This allows her to turn stones into molten fireballs in her hand and throw them without so much as scorching herself.

Relationships:
  • Frahraryte Vendomiir: "Even though I never really knew him, I have absolute confidence that he would be proud of me as his daughter."
    • Since her father died shortly after she was born, Rasvim never really knew him. Since the family doesn't talk of him much, she's made her own assumptions about him based on what little she has heard about him. In her eyes, her father was a proud and powerful warrior that could single-handedly destroy dozens of Beasts at a time, and he died a martyr in the name of protecting his family from the creatures so they could live on with pride and honor.
  • Iskixen Vendomiir: ""
  • Amelia Vendomiir: ""
  • Valerie Vendomiir: ""
  • Darasv Vendomiir: ""
  • Mary Williams: ""

Personality: Rasvim is very confident and proud, so much so that one could call her haughty and full of herself. She was raised rather sheltered compared to her siblings, and has thus become accustomed to the easy life where things come to her easily and she gets what she wants. Because of this, she gets heated up when things don't go her way or when others speak to her in an overly casual manner if she hasn't personally acknowledged them. She can sometimes grow competitive to a point of pettiness just to prove her superiority. She loves being in a position of admiration and power, majorly based on her status as a powerful dragon, and feels that those below her should fear her regardless if they admire her or not. Her one weakness/exception to this viewpoint is in creatures that are infantile and/or smol.

Background: (Tell us a bit about their life up to this point.)

Notes:
  • Although unaware of it yet, she absolutely loves things that are small and cute, including baby animals or other creatures that always remain small.
  • Contrary to her name and race as a dragon, Rasvim doesn't care much for gems or traditional treasures.

Daichi Imagawa

Alt Spelling/Meaning: 大地 - Roughly translated to "Great Earth", from 大 meaning "Big, Great" and 地 meaning "Earth, Land". Source

Nicknames: Dai-kun, Chiima

Occupation: Part-Time Student, Full-Time Troublemaker

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Race: Human

Relevance: High

Skills: Capable of channeling "Aether" (his term for mana) to his eyes to greatly enhance his perceptive capabilities, able to adjust his sight to see objects several miles away as if they were right in front of him. Additionally, Daichi's techno wristlets can "print" out hologram cards that he then uses as a Medium for spellcasting, causing varying effects based on what types of Aether he imprints these cards with. They can vary wildly, from as straightforward as a card that explodes with fire on impact, to as complex as a stasis field that doesn't activate unless a specific person steps on the card. The more complex card spells require more concentration to create, however, so Daichi tends to save those for when there's enough time for them. Combining these two skills makes him a surprisingly accurate and precise marksman, and though his range is limited to how far he can throw the cards, applying a bit of acceleration magic to the throw allows him to effectively double his range almost to that of a typical pistol.

Even still, Daichi never misses an opportunity to playfully tease his friends or taunt his foes. In combat situations, Daichi's confidence really shines through, even if he knows the fight will end in a loss. It's all about making the statement, for him. The statement that he will never back down, no matter what - especially if it's his or his friends' honor on the line. He strives to be somewhat of a beacon for freedom, though you'll never catch him admitting such a cheesy philosophy outright. Always up for some mischief, but ever a true and stalwart friend. That is Daichi.

Background: Born to two Human parents, one might say that Daichi's life was always destined to be plain and simple. But then again, Daichi never did believe in stuff like fate. Though he was an only child, he was far from spoiled - living under the same roof as a strict, traditional father tends to get in the way of that. Almost at opposing ends of the spectrum, Daichi's mother Suzume was a lot more lenient and carefree about the kid. Unfortunately, this also led to plenty of arguments and, in particularly heated moments, minor cases of domestic abuse. Hayato was always a short-tempered man, and was always accustomed to getting his way. Daichi, having inherited his father's hot blood, would always try to stand up to Hayato whenever his mother was slapped. Of course, all this resulted in was Daichi being "disciplined" as well. Eventually, though, Suzume had enough, and divorced Hayato, demanding that he leave their house. Luckily, Suzume was far from just a stay-at-home mom, and made enough income to keep the two afloat and even treat themselves now and again. Hayato, for his part, honored the divorce agreement and never set foot inside the house or went anywhere near Daichi or Suzume ever again.

It was around this time that Daichi started going into grade school, and met the boy who would eventually become one of his best friends: Juushirou Yukimura. Except, just starting out you'd never have guessed that the two would become such close friends. Thanks to his upbringing, Daichi started off thinking he had to prove himself to everyone, and would always get into fights with the other kids. Shiro was one of his targets, but unlike the other kids who hated him for it, Shiro was patient, kind, and understanding. Bullying him made Daichi feel bad, so he ended up apologizing one day, and then the two started talking, and the rest is, as they say, history. Still to this day, Daichi thinks that initial fight with Shiro is what sparked the kid's idea to mock-fight around new people to mess with their heads. Underneath the brotherly aura, there was a little trickster in him, and that was something Daichi could appreciate. Naturally, hanging around Shiro would eventually lead him to meet Ayaka and Ryouko, as well as a third person, one that he'd tried his hardest to forget.

But Daichi could never forget that day, no matter how hard he tried. He was out playing tag with Shiro and the third friend - whose name Daichi can scarce remember - when out of nowhere, it seemed as though Shiro burst into flames. Before either of them could react, their friend was put into a tree, set on fire by Shiro's newly awakened Youko powers, although Daichi wouldn't understand what had happened until later, when he'd gotten an explanation from Shiro himself. Daichi couldn't believe that Shiro would intentionally hurt a friend, and while the loss of said friend was sad and somewhat traumatic for the young lad, what stung even more was how cold and callous the friend's parents were to Shiro after the fact. It angered him to no end that these people who had been on such friendly terms with Daichi and Shiro would just sever all ties over an accident. This was the event that would spark Daichi's sense of justified rebellion - he wanted to fight against those that would stamp out the freedom of others, and so he entreated his mother to finally teach him magic. Though he struggled just like Shiro at first, his determination and pure willpower eventually broke through his barriers and let the Aether flow. It was during these years that he and Shiro were the most distant, but Daichi knew it was only because his friend was going through some tough times. Rather than wallow in pity and sad feelings, Daichi instead tackled his magical education with an almost uncharacteristic vigor that surprised and shocked Suzume at times. Even still, Suzume wasn't the greatest of teachers, and while he did learn much from her, Suzume ultimately petitioned Satoshi Yukimura - Shiro's father - for aid. A completely unorthodox method, but with Daichi's father out of the picture, it was their only option. All Satoshi could offer was extra guidance on the side, but with Daichi's natural affinity for spellcasting, it worked wonders to fill in the gaps.

After some time, however, another player was introduced to the game - Yuichi. At first on somewhat friendly terms with Shiro's cousin due to his being a Human, once Daichi learned how he was treating Shiro, it reminded him of how their old friend's parents had so coldly abandoned him. This lit a fire in Daichi's anger, leading him to eventually fight with the cousin. Naturally, the far more composed and skilled Yuichi made short work of Daichi's foolish challenge, though he left him with little more than a bruised ego. Afterwards, Yuichi stopped approaching Daichi altogether, deeming him a "lost cause", which only served to stoke Daichi's flames of fury even further. So began the trend of Daichi picking a fight with Yuichi every time they happened to cross paths, although each time he was defeated. Despite this, he never let it get him down. In his mind, he was fighting for freedom. Freedom for his friends to live without fear of retribution or hatred. Freedom for anyone like them to do the same. Nowadays, Daichi keeps up the good fight, though he's laxed a bit on the school side of things for his final year. Much to his instructors' dismay, Daichi tends to skip out most of the time, only really ever returning for mandatory work and to hang out with the Yukitomo. Despite this, he seems to be keeping up with his grades well enough, which baffles the school staff to no end.

Treasured Memories:
  • Meeting and making friends with Shiro.
  • Making friends with Ayaka and Ryouko.
  • Learning magic from his mother.
  • Receiving his HoloCard wristlets from Ayaka for his birthday.

Notes:
  • Despite his disdain for schoolwork, Daichi somehow manages to pass his exams with decent scores, baffling everyone who knows him.
  • Despite his natural inclination and appreciation for music, Daichi cannot sing to save his life. Oddly enough, this isn't due to difficulty with pitch, as he can play music just fine - his vocal cords just seem to rebel against any attempts made to sing at all.
  • Once upon a time, Daichi might have maybe possibly had a crush on Shiro before he realized he was a boy. This may or may not have been part of the reason he picked a fight with him in grade school.

Kyou Sasaki

Alt Spelling/Meaning: 杏 - Translated as "apricot". Source

佐々木 - Roughly translated to "Helping Tree", from 佐 meaning "help, aid", 々 which is an iteration mark, and 木 meaning "tree, wood". Worth noting is that when Kyou writes his full name, the rough translation reads "Helping Tree of Apricots", or more accurately described as "Helping Apricot Tree". Source for direct translations only, I took some liberties with the combined translations for theatrical purposes.

Nicknames: Aside from honorifics like -chan and -kun, Kyou doesn't tend to respond to nicknames or pet names.

Occupation: Guard Force University Student - Junior, Part-Time Teahouse Attendant

Gender: Androgynous Male

Age: 20

Race: Human

Relevance: High

Skills: Kyou doesn't use magic, but his technologically enhanced arrowheads are able to achieve similar effects to some magics. While the arrows themselves are all constructed the exact same and come attached with the default arrowhead, Kyou can change out these default tips with more specially formulated ones, whose effects are listed below. Other than that, Kyou is an experienced practitioner of Taekwondo, preferring to use his agile movements and precise kicks to gain distance and disorient his foes. However, if there's no space to be gained or his opponent simply won't let up, Kyou won't hesitate to put a bit more force into his strikes.

Arrowheads:
  • Kaki/"Fire" - Contains an ignition agent that explodes violently upon impact. Additionally, this type has three other modifiers it can apply to the explosion. Napalm adds a burst of flames that last for a while before burning out on their own, Screen causes a thick smoke to emit from the arrowhead upon exploding, and Flare causes the explosion to burst with dazzling colors. Depending on one's proximity to the explosion, the flare could also cause a blinding effect similar to that of a flashbang.
  • Kesshou/"Crystallization" - Contains a compound that, upon contact with open air, flash freezes around anything it hits. Usually aimed at the ground to facilitate breaking open the arrowhead's reservoir, which only contains enough of the compound to freeze down someone's foot and lower leg.
  • Denki/"Electrical" - A blunted arrowhead designed to be shot directly at someone or something. Upon impact with its target, the arrowhead discharges several volts of electricity, but not enough to be lethal. The purpose of this arrowhead is for takedowns only, as it only discharges enough electricity to stun or heavily daze the target, depending on how well they absorb the shock. Voltage can be adjusted manually.
  • Ryoushi/"Huntsman" - An arrowhead designed to eject its tip partway through flight and throw the arrow off its course. While the arrow itself falls away, the arrowhead's tip continues to fly in the direction of the arrow, albeit at a much faster pace. Upon impact, the tip latches onto whatever surface it hits and begins broadcasting its location at a frequency only detectable by the Guard Force's tracking software.
  • Tadoru/"Pursuit" - Only useful if a target has been tagged by a Ryoushi arrow, these arrowheads force an arrow's path to angle toward the signal emitted by the Ryoushi arrowhead's tip. After the initial re-angling, however, the Tadoru arrowhead's ability to re-navigate becomes exponentially less and less effective, making these arrows easy to dodge if one is agile enough.
  • Ori/"Cage" - An arrowhead with two "modes". The first mode, Tokui-Ori, is designed to be fired at a surface. Upon impact, it attaches itself to said surface and projects a large energy barrier in a spherical shape, passing through all matter until it expands to its full diameter of about ten meters. While this barrier holds, no organic matter may enter or leave the designated area. The only exceptions to this are Guard Force members, or anyone in possession of a Guard Force identifier, whose frequency reacts with the barrier, forcing an opening around them to enter or exit through. The second mode, Kenbi-Ori, functions nearly identically to the first, except instead of projecting the barrier immediately upon impact, the arrow emits a frequency only detectable by other Kenbi-Ori arrows. After Kyou has fired as many Kenbi-Ori as he deems necessary, he can then activate them with his handheld, causing each arrow to quickly identify a perimeter based on the number of other Kenbi-Ori arrows emitting their frequency in the area. The barrier then spreads across that perimeter and functions identically to the Tokui-Ori barrier. All Ori arrows may be deactivated manually through Kyou's handheld device.

Even still, Kyou knows better than to get too attached, except in the case of Yuichi. When at the teahouse or not "on the job", Kyou seems to be a bit more at peace.

Background: Kyou's early life was surprisingly normal for how he turned out. His mother and father were, by all accounts, loving and nurturing. Truly, his upbringing in the relatively rural outskirts of Cyberleaf City was a happy one. That is, until he began his schooling. Not even a month had passed after he started grade school when he came home to the sight of both of his parents brutally slaughtered and his home absolutely ravaged and torn apart. The young Kyou didn't know how to process this information, so he ran to the only other place he knew was safe - Auntie Rie's house. She was more than willing to foster the poor child, but she could offer no more than condolences for Kyou's dead parents. As a coping mechanism, Kyou forced himself to forget that he ever even had parents over the coming years, but in the process of doing so he had also managed to ice over his other emotions as well. He refused to refer to people in familiar terms, instead preferring to call them solely by their names. In his eyes, this allowed him to better distance himself from others, that he might never experience the loss of another loved one again.

At least, until he had met Yuichi Yukimura. Some time after Yuichi had already moved in with Juushirou, Kyou had taken some interest in him after hearing whisperings of what had brought him there. Kyou had never known another who had suffered the same fate that he did, but he dared not approach Yuichi directly about it. Besides, he would just be another friend to lose, right? Kyou found it much harder to think in such terms after what Yuichi had done for him, though. Some of the other kids had somehow learned about the death of his parents, and begun to relentlessly tease and bully him over it. Though normally composed, Kyou had been suffering in silence over the event for years, and having those awful memories dredged back up by these children was more than he could handle. Tears had begun to form as he curled into his knees when a familiar voice had stepped in, admonishing the bullies for picking on him like that. Kyou was too busy fighting off the near-panic attack to really remember what happened next, but he vaguely recalls the bullies trying to start something with his defender and swiftly being defeated for it.

After Kyou had calmed down, he saw Yuichi sitting next to him, as though making sure he was alright. It was probably the first time anyone had ever stepped in for him like that. Most of the time Kyou simply disengaged from the confrontation - not from a desire to get away, but just because he didn't feel entertaining it was worth his time. The few times he was forced to engage, everyone tended to side against the "weird kid who never talks to anyone". Yuichi was the first and only one who broke this trend, and as he would later find out, it was for the same reasons that Kyou had wanted to become friends with him in the first place. Yuichi knew the pain of losing one's parents, but he was also strong enough to stand up for himself and others like him. Seeing that inspired Kyou to follow in his footsteps, and though he would never truly return to his former self, Kyou would finally allow himself some moments of vulnerability around his new friend.

Newly inspired to better himself, Kyou signed up for Taekwondo classes with some of the inheritance money left to him by his parents. While he never outwardly showed his enthusiasm, Kyou tackled these classes with his own sort of energy, and eventually managed to attain a black belt rank after graduating from school. It was during these last years in school that he met Inara, who didn't immediately strike him as someone to respect. That is, until he learned of her philosophy of protection and justice. It reminded him of the time that Yuichi had defended him, and the more he grew to know Inara the more he felt this way about her. It was for these reasons that Kyou had finally decided to enroll in the Guard Force University alongside her, that he might finally start making a difference in someone else's life the same way Yuichi had done for him.

Treasured Memories:
  • Yuichi stepping in for him and their subsequent friendship.
  • Taking his first step inside the Guard Force University with Inara.
Notes:
  • Kyou doesn't use magic not out of spite, but from a genuine inability to do so. Any attempts he's made have completely failed, and so he's deemed its practice a waste of his efforts.
  • Kyou's handheld device is used primariily for activation and control of his specialized arrowheads, but it also seems to function as a sort of smartphone or PDA as well, with calling/messaging features, a built-in camera, and both voice and text recording software.
  • The quiver at his hip holds a surprising amount of the slender arrows he uses. One might even be inclined to think his supply was endless.
  • On the other hand, while his arrows are numerous, Kyou only carries a select amount of his special arrowheads at a time, handpicked to best suit the needs of the mission. That said, he still carries a few Kaki and Denki arrowheads with him when not on a mission, just in case. Kyou's special arrowheads are made so that they are unable to activate without being attached to an arrow, which can be both blessing and curse.
  • In contrast to his disinterest in nicknames or pet names, Kyou responds to any pronouns one were to use in reference to him. Calling him a "her" or using feminine language to refer to him doesn't seem to matter to him, and in fact he'll do the same subconsciously if enough people are doing so.

Ryouko Yukimura

Alt Spelling/Meaning: 雪村 龗子 - The dragon god girl ... well, she's more fox than lizard, but besides that ... did you two overcompensate for Shiro's more simple name, Yukipapa and Yukimama? There's thirty-three brush strokes in that one kanji alone!

Nicknames: Depends on the mood of the others in her LINE group chats.

Occupation: Trendy 1st Year High School Girl

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Race: Mythic (Quarter-Youko Hybrid)

Relevance: High

Skills: Grit your teeth, 'cos the 108 skills of this Trendy JK will kick you to the curb!
  • 1: Trained in martial arts by her parents, Ryouko knows exactly how to make use of her arms, legs and the rest of her body to commit the necessary amount of violence for any situation! She's also no slouch with weapons if somebody (sheesh Shiro-nii, you'll never land a gal if you spend all your time throwing swords around!) hands her one, but she's more of a staff kind of gal, you dig?
  • 2: She also has a real affinity for magic, cycling mana through her body as easily as breathing. Like her big bro, she's capable of enhancing her body, but she keeps the light-show on the down-low. As someone more hip and down with the Youko life, she can be significantly more flashy when she wants to though, albeit sticking mostly to manipulation of the wind, water and ice. In that way, isn't her name quite fitting?
  • ...
  • 107: Perfect memory of every karaoke parlour in town.
  • 108: And finally, she's a veteran of the mochitsuki ceremony!
Relationships:
  • Satoshi Yukimura: "What's the skinny, daddy-o?"
    • She thinks he's cool beans, but kinda a real square sometimes. She's like, a hundred percent sure that nobody actually says "what's funky fresh" these days. He has a lotta work to do before he'll be on fleek. Anyway, she and him have an amazing relationship, especially when he's slipping her some of that moolah on the sly.
  • Kyo Yukimura: "Mum, 'don't think, feel' was a Bruce Lee quote. It's not from Cowboy Bebop, nor did Mr Watanabe steal it from gramps."
    • The two of them have a really powerful bond, so it's no surprise she also thinks her mum is the cool beans. Even if there are times she thinks her mum can be a bit strange and a real taskmaster, there's a lot they have in common. And sometimes, when she knows that Shiro-nii shouldn't have to put more on his shoulders and when others will never understand, she can rely on Kyo to always be there. It's hard, having to straddle two worlds, but she can commiserate with someone who's been through the same.
  • Juushirou Yukimura: "What's good in the hood, Shirou-nii? Found a gal yet? Mum and dad gettin' antsy here!"
    • "Shirou-nii" is also super cool beans. She and him have been very close growing up, and it's clear she admires him. Even when he's being a total doofus of a big bro. Enjoys poking fun at him though, because he takes stuff real seriously. Still ... it's a bit scary for her, knowing how much he's bottled up and how little he's willing to share. Even if she's the little sister, that doesn't mean he should be trying to hold the world on his shoulders all the time!
  • Ayaka Hamasaki: "I set two alarms. One for me, and one for hitting up next door to wake up Ayaya!"
    • Also the cool beans, though she's worried that Ayaka might be a bit too sleepy sometimes. There's a reason her search history has a lot about narcolepsy. Maybe it's weird for a younger girl to be so protective, but Ayaka's been there forever, so she's gotta do her best as a friend!
  • Daichi Imagawa: "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man? Card tricks are so not what a gal wants outta a guy these days."
    • A cheesy dork. A doofus like Shiro-nii. Some of his jokes are seriously lame, and he's trying way too hard to be flashy sometimes. But, that doesn't mean she dislikes him. Daichi is one of her closest friends, and unlike him and his love for freedom and justice, she'll admit that without any shame, no matter how embarrassing he can be. She'll never make light of his loyalty and friendship, even when she's teasing him back.
  • Yuichi Yukimura: "Ah, you here to spew the Fourteen Words at us again, cousin?"
    • A bigoted hypocrite. She will never respect a man who views her father as a race traitor, and her mother a monstrous invader. He can take his views on miscegenation and "purity" and shove them straight up his ass. His supposed "justice" and genocidal mania can go take a fucking hike!!
  • ??? ???:
    • To be honest, she doesn't remember much of them. It's hard to put how she feels about everything and them into words, but inside her heart, there's this small sense of ... pity.
  • Fellow 1st Year Students (Lila, Ruby): TBA
Personality: Fashionable as heck, always down with the trends, Ryouko is the very picture of a modern, trendy girl. She keeps up with what's popular, is always skilled in making herself and others look good, and is generally just ready to place herself at the forefront of everyone's minds! It's pretty easy for her, honestly, especially when she's so gregarious and amicable. There are few people at school who wouldn't have talked to her at least once, because she's a bundle of friendly enthusiasm, always willing to hear somebody out at least once or make small talk. And maybe throw a few teasing jokes - nothing serious - in their direction if there's enough closeness there. She can be quite the mischievous girl when it suits her, although she's started slowing down on some of the full-blown pranks in years (she's a responsible young adult now, unlike some of her oldest friends cough Daichi cough). She also has a very solidly-formed picture of herself, and maaaybe she can be a bit too cocksure. It's totally justified though, right?

There's nothing wrong with taking pride in who you are.

Beneath the energetic persona, however, Ryouko is also a remarkably down-to-earth gal. She's somebody who likes to take a practical approach to things (though it doesn't stop her from making things a bit flashy), and engages with her problems step-by-step. She likes to think herself a mature individual, with a proper understanding of her own flaws, and most of the time she succeeds. She doesn't want to make herself a problem or place burdens on others (with one individual very much at the forefront of her mind), and is quick to apologise if she does go too far with anything she does. Even if she may relish in her emotions, she knows when to keep it on the down-low (or at least, at times). The girl is also incredibly stalwart and committed - it's very difficult to keep somebody like her down, especially when she's being relied on.

Yet even as much as she generally aims to be a good person, sometimes that intensity of hers can be just a tad ... too ruthless.

Background: The second child of Satoshi and Kyo Yukimura, it would not be entirely inaccurate to describe her childhood as ... troubled. Her parents were loving, as was her brother, and to be perfectly honest, she grew up in a very much privileged household with only a few issues. Yet it was those issues that served to be the emotional fault-lines ever-present in her life.

The first being her brother and his magic.

Ryouko's specific memories of the incident were very few, clouded by her young age, but even so, it did not take much difficulty for even a four year old to notice the fraught tensions that it spawned. She grew up very much aware of the trauma faced by her older brother, of the way he seemed so cautious of their mother and anything to do with their Youko heritage. She grew up aware of the differences in how they approached their identities, of how much he was hurting inside.

It had been strange to her how much the race of their grandfather could affect their lives so much.

And it hurt her, seeing her brother suffer, trying to find a grip after something that a child should never have needed to deal with.

Dealing with her brother's worries, trying to understand her own role and identity in life ... making sure she didn't have to burden others ... as she moved through her childhood these became very core to her. The incident with the stuffed toy may have been a moment of joy and happiness for Juushirou, but for Ryouko, it slowly became a question of how much she should rely on him. He may have meant the world to her, and vice versa, but even the younger her wondered if it was right for him to devote so much.

And the second issue was her cousin.

When Ryouko first understood Yuichi, that was the first time she understood what it meant to hate.

She watched the way he treated her mother.

She watched the way he treated her.

She watched the way he rebuffed her brother.

And even if she could understand his trauma, she listened to his toxic views and realised that she hated him.

It was both a liberating and restricting experience. The former, as she realised that she needed not to tolerate the hate he threw at her family, at her bloodline, and the latter, because it made the atmosphere in the household far more dangerous. While her mother may have tried to hold her tongue at times, Ryouko did not have that compunction. She would not back down in the face of hostility, and it coloured not only their every interaction, but her interactions with others elsewhere.

Maybe that was why some people characterised her as a hell-raiser in middle school.

Yet if there was one thing that she could thank her troubled childhood for, it was helping her find a better understanding of her identity. Of the issues faced by a Mythic in a world that seemed so hostile to them. And in a way, it helped her grow closer to her mother, who was not only her teacher in magic, but somebody who had faced many of the same problems as Ryouko did in her own younger days.

From the outside though, it doesn't seem like Ryouko's someone who's been through quite a few emotional ups and downs. She's a happy first year, making the most of her high school life. From spending time with her friends to keeping up with the trends, it seems like she's got her life all sorted. Except for her bro's super lacking love life. She's working on fixing that, pronto.

Treasured Memories: "All my memories are like, way too precious for me to just pick some!"

Notes:
  • She carries around a lot of miscellaneous stuff for some reason. Like, what does a trendy high school girl even need a toolbox in her bag for?
  • Stealing Ryouko's wallet would be totally useless, because it's like way too empty to be useful. It's the modern era, you know? Everybody's gotta be cashless, and she's got her cards and phone on hand instead! All the wallet's good for is keeping her trendy café loyalty cards in.
  • She takes a weird pride in having a lot more friends than her bro. It's why she frequently sends him screenshots of her contacts list.
    • She makes sure to put a "." right before his name though, that means he'll always be on top of that list!
  • She has collection of sunglasses in her room. Currently, Ryouko owns thirty-three pairs, and she picks them out based on the occasion or her mood.

Vinno Senkei

Alt Spelling/Meaning: 線硅 ビンノ, 線硅 meaning "lined silicon".

Nicknames: None Yet

Occupation: Cyberleaf Guard Force University - Field Researcher, Graduate Student

Gender: Female

Age: 21

Race: Human

Relevance: Medium-High

Skills: Vinno utilizes a branch of magic known as "encoding", which is the magic of directly influencing physical properties. She uses a system known as encoded seals, which are replicas of traditional Mythic casting circles activated via projection. These seals are placed and can be activated manually, or triggered under certain circumstances. The seals also have a variety of levels, more mana is consumed to boost the effectiveness of the seal.

Accel - Represented by the character 行, grants any object being effected enhanced acceleration

Anchor - Represented by the character 錨, causes any object effected to become heavier

Amplification - Represented by the character 重, a seal granting increased strength of any attack that passes through

Dilate - Represented by the character 時, temporarily causes the passage of time for the target to be dilated, enhancing reaction ability.

Gate - Represented by the character 門, Vinno's signature ability, which is the ability to teleport anything that activates the seals to a designated destination

Oscillation - Represented by the character 顫, an ability to destroy simple materials by matching mana oscillation waves with the molecular structure of the target material, analysis requires time.

Vinno uses both her portable computer and a mobile terminal in order to activate seals, her computer is able to compound different seals together while the mobile terminal can only activate single seals.

Relationships:
  • Yuichi Yukimura: Former classmate, Vinno met Yuichi during the GFU's boot camp training. She was on guard about him at first as he was the person most likely to see through her tricks during training. Later Vinno is friends with him for his fighting style, and she admires his determination to better himself. Vinno often thinks his dismay for Mythics is irrational as well as childish but accepts it as long as it does not interfere with their duties. She secretly loathes his seriousness and stubbornness, and sometimes feels slightly annoyed at his strong sense of justice. She can only hope that he pulls through when the team requires it.
  • Inara Kanaan: Underclassman that Vinno doesn't have much opnion on due to her quietness, though given her understanding of magic and magitek compared to the other two, she is able to tell that some of Inara's gimmicks aren't exactly human. But she has no interest in disclosing her personal observations about this teammate as it will only jeopardize the team synergy.
  • Kyou Sasaki: The model teammate in Vinno's eyes, he lacks the steadfast sense of pride and justice the other two has and is often more reasonable when it comes to planning. His quietness and tendency to keep to himself is a plus in Vinno's eyes, as she has no intention to pry on her colleagues. She treats him rather distantly in a professional manner, but she is only treating him the exact way he treats her.
  • Iba Ibaraki: Is aware of the other researcher from her days in the CGF, respects and values their academic experiences together but belives her irrational behavior during combat is unnecessary.
  • Contessa Moretti: Annoyed at due to her tendency to jump head into situations, belives that someone who acts that much on impulse shouldn't be working with the CGF, much more as a superior.
  • Yukimura Family: Only know about them through Yuichi, who doesn't speak exactly high of them. Though she understands Yuichi's tendency to be blinded by his disdain for Mythics and takes all of his words with a grain of salt.
  • Shion Senkei: "Father", where she got most of her personality and passion for magic research. The two get along well but doesn't meet often due to their workaholic natures. She refers to him by first name, the nature of their relationship is more similar to coworkers than parent and child.
  • To be added.

Personality:
Seemingly apathetic, she has trouble empathizing or comprehending the emotions of others. Despite that, she is a visionary when it comes to Mythic magic and magitek. Her forward-thinking often makes her seem a bit bizarre and unconventional with most aspects of life.

Her extremely special birth circumstances never bothered her much, although she has a tendency to become existential at times.

Background:
Vinno had no mother growing up, not because she passed away, or she was estranged, she simply never existed. Vinno was a child born from one man's madness with his craft. Shion Senkei was a young man who was obsessed with Mythic, magic and magitek since his youth, he tinkered with ideas that can potentially change the world. One of which is known as "Invocation", the usage of mana to construct forms of life, he has hypothesized that this is how some species of Mythics and beasts came to be and began to experiment with this dangerous form of magic. He created some simple forms of life such as microorganisms, and then small animals with Mythic qualities before his studies grew controversial. Many who are already cautious of Mythics rejected the idea of creating the life of the human world with Mythic magic, and feared the results this magic can bring.

This eventually led to the young man lonely and sullen with a lack of colleagues, and the creation of Vinno, a child who's genetics was built purely with mana, a human invoked into the world through Mythical means. Of course, this didn't come without its struggles, Shion feared the backlash that will come with the processes, and simply declared Vinno as his adopted daughter.

Soon Vinno proved to be more than just a plain child, her unusual birth has also granted her an unusual ability to understand and use magitek. She worked alongside her "father" for her early years and quickly displayed prodigious talent when it came to magic research. "Encoding" was a branch of magic that she created at the age of 13, and was made to be "a type of magic that anyone can wield with sufficient tools". Like her father, her own discoveries didn't come without controversy, which led to her decision of enrolling the GFU. At age 14 she passed the initial test and training, overcoming seemingly impossible odds. The truth is that she utilized her magic in order to change her physical performance, technically an act of cheating. None of her peers ever founded proof despite their speculations and most accepts magic as a commonplace to ignore the few odd occurrences that occasionally shows up, mayhaps they were too busy being impressed by how a 14-year-old girl is keeping up with the GFU's routines. This is where she met Yuichi Yukimura, whom she was quite at odds with due to his stubborn sense of justice, and his disdain for magic.

Graduation came only two years later after Vinno published her research thesis on the study of Magical Sequencing, outlining the potential of arming any person with magic with minimal training, she remained with the CGF in hopes of showing the value of both her's and Shion's magitek research. Initially, she stayed with the researching departments as she developed more basic encoded seals, but lacked an authentic method to test out their effects. This was when she officially transferred into the CGF's combat unit, assigned with a group of GFU students. Yuichi's inclusion came as a slight surprise, though Vinno treated it as an opportunity to normalize magic to even the most prejudiced of humanity. She makes attempts to work with the team, as troublesome as they can be, and continued her own studies in Magitek Engineer outside of the GFU.

Treasured Memories:
  • The day she was accepted into the CGF
  • The day she was "born"
Notes: Vinno can remember her infancy due to her special birth circumstances, her mental functionalities also started out much more mature than normal humans, which could be a reason for her prodigious achievements.

Kochimaku, Banto

Occupation: Cyberleaf Guard Force

Gender: Male

Age: 39

Race: Human

Relevance: Medium

Skills: Many years of being a sniper has made this man a deadly threat at range, even against targets armored enough to resist such fire as Banto has a knack for plugging shots down chinks of armor and slitted eyes. Born also from many years of experience, Banto has developed into a calm and clever leader who commands solid respect in the ranks for his care towards all life and ensuring that every member of the Cyberleaf Security Force is as prepared as possible for the stresses of their work.

Relationships:
  • Santao, Meiko: Kuchisaki-Onna, old friend, helped get them a place in Cyberleaf City. Was best man at her wedding.
  • Santao, Kisho: Kuchisaki-Onna, godson, Marksman student, hoping he will use talents and join Cyberleaf Guard Force.
  • (More upon request/as situation develops.)

Personality: A genial man with a mind and heart for feeling out the truth of others feelings that meshes well into a operations manager. Enjoys a quiet day on the range with a good book, bottle of whiskey, and an excess number of anti material rounds

Background: Banto likes to think of himself as a simple man in a complex world and aims to keep it that way. Magic creatures, dark beasts, and humanity itself all colliding and mixing, some simplicity is well need. Solid advice he sought since a child and, in an inherent good nature, gives it in return. Yet, none of that led to him becoming a sniper. That path was, in his own words, "chosen for him." Banto had a gift, a spark, and a blessing for pin-point accuracy that he cultivated into deadly grace of destruction. It lead him to the Cyberleaf Security Force for one reason alone. Banto wants to protect people and to do nothing less would be to waste his talent.

Treasured Memories: Being Santao, Kiruma's best man at his wedding. Teaching Santao, Kisho how to shoot. Successfully being admitted as a sniper to the Cyberleaf Guard Force.

Notes: If given his way, Banto would have never stopped being a sniper. But promotion found a way into his life, despite his best efforts to avoid it.

Amelia Vendomiir

Occupation: Student, 3rd year.

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Race: Mythic: Dragon

Relevance: High

Skills: Mistress of Field and Flames. It is truly what sums up the prowess of this young woman. Should she enter the battlefield, Amelia reduces her opponents to ash, melts the ground upon which they stand, and crushes any hope of resistance through overwhelming, unrelenting, yet finely controlled, firepower.

Relationships:
  • Ruby Vendomiir: Sister, distant, silent protector, bears sis's insults with silent grace.
  • Iskixen Vendomiir: Mother, distant, worried she overworks for the family, hard to open up to.
  • Darasv Vendomiir: Brother, distant, concerned spends too much time fighting, silent protector.
  • Dietrich Vern: Bulter, gets support from.
  • Santao, Kisho: Pen-pal, Mythic friend from Earth, new student too!
  • (More on request/as the situation develops.)
Personality: A meek and reserved young woman who keeps to herself. Enjoys a quiet walk and a bit of writing with a quiet protective streak with an equally quiet distrust of humans. Generally seems to jump at surprises and is often tired.

Background: Amelia was always expected to be the best. Actually, that would be inaccurate. "Perfect," fits far better. From manners to might, perfection was demanded. And she never failed to charge after it. Driven by endless determination and raw fear, Amelia scrabbled after perfection as a beggar seeks a coin slipping between the grates of a sewer. As with the beggar, unable to stop gravity from stealing the coin no matter how close he came, so too did Amelia fail to ever achieve perfection. Mystically it remained just out of her grasp as her father continued to put pressure onto her. But she bore it. For if her father's rage and frustration were upon her, then it was just that much farther from her siblings. And that was what mattered. Yet fear constantly nagged at her that she wouldn't be strong enough. Could never be strong enough to keep her family, all her family, safe from the Beasts. Yet, with her father now dead, she can't help but feel that she's already failed. Now in the human world, fears of their hatred snap at the back of her mind as the horrors of war begin to devour her dreams as Amelia continues to reach after the impossible coin that is perfection.

Treasured Memories: Santao-chan's letters as little bright spots from the darkness of war. A family meal where they were all smiling, a now impossible dream.

Alupheaux Ad Lucem / Hyohaku

Alt Spelling/Meaning: His Japanese Alias, Hyohaku 氷舶, individually the characters means "hail"or "ice" and "boat" or "ice trapped boat", but it is pronouced as "pure white" or "bleached".

Nicknames: Known as "The White Death" decades ago during the early days of Mythic migration.

Occupation: Cyberleaf Guard Force Part-timer/Part-time Combat Teacher

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown/Undisclosed

Race: Apotheosized Seraphim

Relevance: High-ish

Skills:
Alupheaux utilizes divine ethereal energy that is present in the Mythic realm as the source of his power, this causes his ability to be dampened in the human world, but his experience and own supply of mana are still powerful assets. He has three main levels of combat modes, with each level drawing on more mana, allowing more powerful abilities.

The first is his default state, in this state he is able to use basic holy magic, energy blasts, slices, and some hand to hand combat if needed. The power of these spells is fairly conventional for any practitioner of magic.

The second level can be identified by the iconic three pairs of bright wings that Seraphims posses, flight becomes possible though limited, he gains the ability to use his wings as an offensive and defensive asset, the wings themselves can serve as shielding devices and the feathers become the medium for using Lusturious Armory.
Lustrous Armory: The user is able to conjure an arsenal of melee weapons, ranging from swords to daggers to spears, and even more convoluted items like chains. These conjured weapons are weightless and can be summoned and unsummoned at will, given the user has enough magical energy and there's enough light around. Although the weapon must stay in close proximity of the user to maintain its form, it has a range limit of about 3 meters (10 ft) where the weapon would become frail and unusable, it will straight up disappear if it is more than 4 meters away (13 ft) away from the user.

The final level is very limited and will cause a heavy toll on both mind and body, as well as collateral damage to surroundings. The ability Celestial Trance allows Alupheaux to draw divine ether from the Mythic realm directly and cast abilities that use a very high amount of mana, including his Seraphim weapon, Catharsis. Despite this, the version he can use in the human realm is known as Shattered Catharsis, a weapon that is an imperfect projection of the original version and cannot remain in existence for long. It will eventually self destruct and cause high collateral damage, anything else he does in this state will react similarly.

Relationships:
  • Ishiwata Yoshinaga: Constantly pokes fun of and sometimes threatens jokingly, find his tendency to throw mundane responsibility onto others problematic, unaware of the fact that he tends to do the same thing. Likes to use the reason of "I'm still working with the CGF" to dump the school's work on him.
  • Anchiteze: Person to dump work on #2, takes advantage of his personality and passion for students a lot. Is purposely dense in front of him to see how much he can pushed for fun.
  • Ibaraki Iba: Knows of her origins and was formerly acquainted with some of her ancestors in the Mythic Realm, tries to maintain a professional relationship with her but thinks her personality is troublesome to deal with, even if it's similar to his own.
  • Kaina: Acquainted with very long ago in the Mythic realm, used her knowledge in the past for his own gains when he was young. Drops his childish demeanor and acts more his actual age when talking with her.
  • Xylander Florakis: Reminds him of the Mythic people he strived to protect, curious about how he came to peace with humanity despite being a poor fighter.
  • Contessa Moretti: Feels like she is a generic human hypocrite who tries too hard to pry information, not too thrilled at her tendency to poke her nose in places where she's clearly unqualified to.

Personality:
Confident and determined due to his abundance of experience, though often a bit aloof.

Alupheaux has about three default expressions: smug, annoyed and bored, and all three of them make him look like the type of guy you'd want to beat up for no reason. He makes a habit of spouting nonsense philosophy, oftentimes seeming a bit weary of life itself.

Background:
Born in the Mythic realm in a time when beasts were not yet a threat, Alupheaux was not a born Seraphim, instead, he was the most un-angel like angel his community and parents have ever seen. Ambitious and unrelenting, he had always felt like he destined for something more. He slowly mastered the mana manipulation and holy magic commonly used by his people but was unfulfilled by the knowledge he can obtain, soon the child set off on a journey across the Mythic realm in search of greater magicks. A fair share of struggles and prejudice came with that journey, as angels were often seen as a peaceful race, but Alupheaux fought his share of battles, often challenging other Mythics and honing his abilities. It was during this time that he evoked the ritual of Apotheosis, Alupheaux artificially homogenized the large amount of mana that he has gathered through his travels into his body, this process forged him new pairs of wings and allowed him to technically become a Seraphim.

As time went to the beast invasion of the Mythic realm grew direr, Alupheaux was one of the pioneers who proposed a migration to the human realm, as his angelic ancestors were some of the most prominent Mythics in the human world eras ago. He was amongst the first group of Mythics to arrive in the human world as diplomats and worked diligently in an attempt to make humanity accept them once more. Working with many human nations as well as early forms of organizations like the CGF. Despite this, fear and mistrust ran rampant in humanity, soon Alupheaux realized why Mythics abandoned the human world in the past. As his colleagues were picked off one by one under orders of human authorities, and he himself suffered imprisonment after one of his wings were torn.

The betrayals he had suffered led him to abandon his diplomatic side in favor of force, he became ruthless in cleansing human figures who mistreated Mythics, as well as taking vengeance on those who betrayed him personally. He was labeled an extremist and became one of the most well know Mythic criminals at the time, receiving the epithet of "The White Death" for his deeds, only a few who were involved with the early integration of Mythics knew about his reasons and motives.

Decades passed as Mythics and magic became more and more normalized in the human world, but Alupheaux lived in the past for a long time. The changed only came when he discovered The Ad Lucem System, an attempt that power-hungry humans made to steal his power for themselves. Originally he had planned to do what he has always done, to wipe out these cruel acts himself, but the interference of various human organizations caught him by surprise. After sabotaging an experimental attempt, one that killed multiple of his own clones, Alupheaux disclosed the information to one of the past human colleagues that came to convince him to attempt cooperation again. This eventually led to the project going public amoungst humans and put to a stop by humans. As humanity condemned the behavior of their own, it raised some hope in Alupheaux that the time of coexistence might one day return. He utilized his past connections as a Mythic diplomat to land a career in Cyberleaf City with a Japanese alias, Hyohaku.

Treasured Memories:
Most of his childhood, a time long ago from human perspectives, and even his own. A simpler time where he was not burdened with these shackles and decisions.

Notes:
His blood appears to glow a bright white due to the extremely high concentration of mana that is constantly present in his body.
To the public, including the Academy, he is known as a senior CGF member from an international branch.
His bottom left wing is slightly shorter than the others, courtesy of humanity. It contains a high amount of Mana and can be used as a powerful magical catalyst. It's currently whereabouts are unknown.

Deciel 010 Ad Lucem

Alt Spelling/Meaning: "Deciel" means "Tenth of God" in Latin, "iel" is a traditional angel name ending.

Nicknames: Known as "Ten" to his brethren

Occupation: High School Student, 1st year

Gender: Male

Age: ~27 (Actual Age), ~17 (Years Conscious)

Race: Artificial Mythic, Cloned Seraphim

Relevance: Medium-ish

Skills:
Unlike his genetic origin, Deciel is unable to draw divine ether due to not being born in the Mythic realm, instead, he relies mostly on his own mana supply and humanity's magicks.

He is able to channel mana to use holy magic, with the aid of arcane arts he specializes in the ability to affect life, being able to lustrate both physical and magical wounds, dispell illness and grant protection to his allies. Arcane geometry is also used to craft close-ranged weapons forged out of mana.

Deciel has the ability to summon his wings when needed, though it takes moments of concentration and a mana supply. His wings are underdeveloped and smaller compared to real Seraphims and even angels, flight is heavily limited and his ability to augment feathers is tacky, only able to encase them in his mana to render his wings as a protective shielding.

Relationships:
  • Nouvel Ad Lucem: His more outgoing "triplet brother" that he is both frightened of and respects. Deciel worried about him constantly as his own distrust and fear of the outer world still sometimes plague him, he tries his very best to see where his brother is coming from but sometimes feel a sense of distance between them.
  • Eleven Ad Lucem: The shut-in "brother" who never fully recovered from their past, Deciel cares for him but ultimately feels powerless, just as he was powerless before they were free. He knows that Eleven never understood the concept of freedom itself, which sometimes casts doubt on his own freedoms as well.
  • Mina Igarashi: Guardian, advocate for international Mythic Rights, currently a member of the Cyberleaf Guard Force. She is distrusted by Deciel, as he distrusts almost everything humans does. He can see her efforts in communicating with him but still feels more comfortable to keep to himself at the moment.
  • Alupheaux Ad Lucem: The origin of his existence that Deciel only had the chance to meet once when he was first freed. He has deep fears of Alupheaux and fails to comprehend why he and his brothers remain so powerless when their existence stems from someone who has such power. Despite this, Alupheaux is the only true role model he has, however problematic that could be.

Personality:
Abnormally quiet and doesn't seem to be intimidated by much, often acts clueless towards the most basic aspects of society. Has both unconventional fears and likes that seem incomprehensible to most. Sometimes will refer to himself as "we" instead of "I". Despite his strange quirks, Deciel is highly curious about the world around him, he attempts to approach things with a positive mindset and explore his newfound freedom. Through his years of mistreatment harbors a heavy sense of fear and distrust towards humans, he often is hesitative as well, as he still has yet to come to a conclusion about his own existence.

He fears the notion of being powerless and puts his best effort into becoming stronger, this can make him seem very hard working and even obsessive, despite the actions being stemmed from trauma. He is respectable for his diligence, but his lack of common sense and knowledge can often get in the way of social interactions.

Background:
Born from the severed wing of a Seraphim that had come to the human realm, Deciel, or 010 as he knew himself as. lived almost all of his life in sterile rooms and cryostasis sleep. He was a clone, along with 23 others that came from the same source, used as a tool to study how powerful Mythics functioned and can open portals between realms. There was little fear, only nothingness. Until the day where the first eight of the group had died. presumably due to sabotage.

This was the first emotion Deciel has felt in his life, the fear and uncertainty of death, and the desire to take life into his own hands. Together with his two closest brethren, they attempted to contact an outside world that they were not even sure actually existed. Eventually, change came, as the project went public and was soon shut down. This was when Deciel first met Alupheaux Ad Lucem, the reason why he exists. Alupheaux's actions during his rescue inspired him, as he vowed to become powerful enough to live up to the Seraphim name. But words only go so far, as the uncertainty and troubles of adjusting to a drastically new life, and trying to learn about a world he was previously oblivious to were all harder than it first seemed.

Despite the hardships, 010 eventually gave himself the name "Deciel", he didn't wish to forget the suffering he was put through, but wanted to relate to his true identity as a Seraphim. Unlike some of his "brothers" (a new word he learned and felt alright to use as reference to his fellow clones), he decided to attend school and attempt to learn to master his natural abilities, as well as to learn about the newfound world around him.

Treasured Memories:
The day of his freedom, his meeting with Alupheaux led him to realize that he wasn't powerless and is able to take control if he wished to.

Notes:
His blood does glow, but only faintly depending on the amount of mana he is currently holding.

Aramil Nakamura

Nicknames: Ara, by his parents mostly. Ice King, by some brave CGF members who mock him. Hisame (氷雨="Ice Storm") his popular nickname/codename.

Occupation: Part-time magic teacher, Part-time CGF

Gender: Male

Age: 34

Race: Hybrid. Half elf, half human

Relevance: Medium-High

Skills: Aramil is proud of his impeccable swordsmanship, attained from years upon years of harsh training, which make him an extremely good close range fighter. He compliments said skill with a superb control over ice. Aramil can use ice in a myriad of ways, from constructs he can manipulate at will such as weapons or copies of himself, to a freezing ray or wave, or even outright ice storms. This makes him very dangerous in middle distance combat as well. Consequently to his power, Aramil has developed an immunity to fire and ice attacks (hot and cold)

More TBD

Background: Aramil is the only son of a loving couple, an elf and a human. He had a rather happy childhood, despite the obstacles in his way, mostly his father's lessons. Not because he disliked them though. They were sometimes very difficult, but Aramil dreamed of being as good as his father with the sword. As a matter of fact, Aramil and his father bonded a lot during his training, silently getting closer and closer. He inherited his personality from him. It was kind of the opposite with his mother, they both cared about each other just as much, but more openly, like Aramil would be later on only to those very close to him.
Nearing the end of his teenage years, Aramil already had a goal set in mind, joining the CGF. The idea of protecting those who couldn't protect themselves was enticing to him. So he applied as soon as he finished his studies. There, he quickly was acknowledged as a great asset to the force, due to his great performance in his missions. A few years later, he became one of the members of the elite task force, considered one of their best units. He was offered to be promoted more in the ranks more than once, but he declined at every opportunity. He didn't want to go around giving orders, doing paperwork, and most importantly, he would lose the favorite part of his job, receiving mostly solo missions.
After years of working as an elite soldier, Aramil wanted to provide some more help to his community. So, he recently took the offer to work as a teacher in the Cyberleaf High School in his spare time off-mission.

Treasured Memories:
-Receiving his sword from his father at age 12
-Making meals with his mother as a kid
-The day he was assigned to the elite corps

Darasv Vendomiir

Alt Spelling/Meaning: Darasv - half breed in draconian language

Nicknames: Vaeri (Only known by those he trusts, means dancer in draconian language)

Occupation: Student; 2nd year in high school (11th grade)

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Race: Mythic (Dragon)

Relevance: High

Skills: Darasv is rather skilled with his twin swords, moving as if he were dancing while simultaneously finishing off his opponents. He’s rather agile and quick, using his wings to gain an advantage at times, though he rarely uses them and keeps them close to his body when fighting. Rather, he uses his swords and his fire magic in tandem, setting his blades aflame to deal even more damage to his opponent. The flames make the blades rather hot, having grown used to the heat of blue flames his father oh so desired. He also uses ash in his attacks for cloaking and blinding, thrusting the particles into the air and coating everything in ash to either hide before striking or shooting a steady stream with his mouth into an opponent’s eyes to blind. Darasv does incorporate a lot of dancing into his movements, making them both a beautiful sight to behold and a deadly one should he ever cross paths with an enemy.

Relationships:
  • Frahraryte Vendomiir
    • Frahraryte Vendomiir is Darasv’s father. Though his father is now no longer living, he was the one to give everyone in their family, bar the youngest sibling, a harsh life, and he grew up despising his father and feeling a sort of twisted love and sense of duty for him. He would kill for him, follow his every command, please him, all for a scrap of acknowledgment. But the man was too cold and too hurtful to him and in the end he couldn’t take it, leaving him to his demise while not looking back. Many of his mental and some of his physical scars are from his father.
  • Iskixen Vendomiir
    • Iskixen Vendomiir is Darasv’s mother. Having spent most of his time with his father training and also due to the fact that his father encouraged him to interact with only men, he’s quite distant from his mother. He truly wishes he were a bit closer to her, but he has to keep up the facade of being a cold hearted dragon that he’s shown up until that point. If his mother knew the real him...how would she react? Maybe better, but he’s far too afraid to show that side of him to his mother.
  • Amelia Vendomiir
    • Amelia Vendomiir is Darasv’s older sister. Much like with his mother, he is quite distant in regards to their relationship, but wishes he could open himself up around the girl. Knowing she is just like him, though they had different upbringings due to their genders, he truly does want to get to know her. Yet his fear over how she would react to the true him constantly shadows and makes his heart ache. Perhaps if he were braver...
  • Valerie Vendomiir
    • Valerie Vendomiir is Darasv’s older sister. He is just as distant from his sister as the other members of his family, but as for this one...he’s unsure of what to make of her. Cold, like him, yet constantly poking and poking and honestly the whole affair drives him nuts. He does not want to reveal anything to her, thinking that she would be cruel to him as Father was to him, and so he shies away in order to not interact with her. If he could, he would cut ties with this sister, but alas she is still family and he is obligated to serve them.
  • Ruby Vendomiir
    • Ruby Vendomiir is Darasv’s younger sister. He loathes her spoiled attitude and pride with a passion, why does she feel such pride for such a disgusting thing? He doesn’t understand and is especially happy to remain distant with her. While he is obligated to protect the baby of the family...he wants nothing more than for her to snap out of her idealistic views on what she is and see herself for what her family and kind is truly like: A cold blooded killer and nothing more.

Personality: Cold, distant, calculating, the perfect cold blooded killer that his own father had raised. This is what Darasv is like outwardly, remaining silent and deadly as he observes with a blank face. He usually trends on being mute, preferring to use gestures or writing to communicate, having felt like he lost his voice long ago from the fighting he had done. He is constantly shadowed by his past as a soldier fighting Beasts and his father’s abuse, jumping at the slightest noise while withdrawing a sword, flinching at anything loud and trembling under the strain, numbing his emotions to the world around him, among other things. Due to this C-PTSD, he has a hard time functioning as he is and is burdened by the guilt of killing as well as not living up to his father’s expectations. Despite the outward appearance, he holds a great love for the arts and loves to make people smile with any of the Mythic art mediums. Painting and drawing, theater, music, writing, dancing, he loves it all and would practice in secret away from his family to learn and perfect his trade. It’s calming to him and during those moments he doesn’t really think, just does, and it’s soothing to his soul. Once thinking about the past, however, he falters and falls into self loathing. He really does hate how he’s turned into the perfect killer that his father has always wanted and he hates how he can’t make people smile, keeping up the facade that he is cold and distant. He is afraid of showing his true self, the “womanly” aspect of perpetuating the Mythic arts and making people smile. Giving people emotions was a weakness, emotions themselves were a weakness, and he hates the fact that he wants to give that. He hates weakness, but he knows he himself is weak as he can’t break away from that love and thus he hates himself. If he could allow himself to be free, he would, but the chains of his past drag him down and he does not see the light.

Background: Darasv’s family were one of the most prominent members of those who fought against the corruption of man, destroying Beasts with fervor. His father himself was a prominent general on the front lives and wanted all his family to be able to fight the Beasts with pride. As he was the only son, Darasv himself was particularly tortured by his father, learning how to kill at a young age and how to use various weapons and magic to bring the highest amount of harm to a person. He hated it, he didn’t want to hurt anyone, but his father would get oh so angry if he went out of line. Eventually he stopped speaking altogether, taking the role of a silent and cold blooded killer while his father looked on with pride. As a dragon’s age was slow after some time, he found himself on the front lines at the age of 50 in a child’s body, fighting off Beasts alongside his father. Always being watched over, always being judged...he could no longer be the person he wanted to be, someone who wanted to make people smile through the arts. While he did study dancing in secret, he couldn’t do music or acting or art, though he was able to do some contemplative writing for a time until his father found out and...he’d rather not think about it.

Being under his father’s shadow, he hated it so much and just wanted a kind acknowledgment, something to make him feel whole. He never got it and it came to a boil one day when his father purposefully scarred him on his tail, burning it at the base, while berating him for letting one Beast go. He couldn’t take it anymore, and the next time he and his father went solo hunting...he left him on the battlefield. He watched from a distance, not coming to his father’s aid and just hitting the Beast on occasion from behind with magic. Once he knew his father was too injured to fight...he left him there. The weight of this action eventually hit him once he was far enough away and he heard the Beast roar with triumph, then he collapsed and wept, feeling a heavy burden in his heart.

He returned to the camp and where his mother and sisters were, bearing the news that Father had died with a blank expression and a monotonous voice. He watched his mother fear, wondering what they were going to do next...and he watched her initiate a strange portal that led to the Human Realm. He found the peaceful life fascinating, only ever knowing how to fight, and he was able to do everything he could ever want freely without him worrying about his cruel father. Even then, the shadow remained heavy in his heart and he could not see himself as a new person, only the cold blooded killer he was before. As he watched his little sister grow, he contemplated on what to do from now on. Entertain people? As he was? He could not but it was something he always wanted to do...he didn’t know, he had no direction. After a time, he began to attend school, hoping it would heal his broken heart and shattered mind for a moment before his age caught up to him again.

Treasured Memories:
  • Seeing a theater play for the first time
  • The first time he saw his mother paint

Notes:
  • During his time in the Human Realm, Darasv has taken up a lot of hobbies, artwork, writing, music creation and playing several instruments, dancing, and drama. However, he’s done it out of the gaze of his own family, hiding away for days on end to practice the arts before returning home. By this point, his family is used to his antics.
  • Despite being a dragon, Darasv is not really interested in meat. He prefers fruits, candy is far too sugary for him.
  • His favorite hobby is painting, he still has a hard time understanding digital art.
  • No records of his writing from before his father died exist, they were all burned to ashes by him, even the journal he kept to vent. He’s feared writing his thoughts out ever since.
  • He does post his art, writing, and music on the Internet, it’s quite freeing to get comments where people freak out. Perhaps he understands Valerie to a degree…

Lila Moretti
Alt Spelling/Meaning: Lila - Lily, Moretti - dark hair

Nicknames: Effie Wilson (Given name at birth, hates it due to the connection to her father), Lily F (Underground battle nickname)

Occupation: Student; 1st year in high school (10th grade)

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Race: Human

Relevance: High

Skills: Lila uses primarily magitech to fight, her specialty is in creating holographic golems and puppets to do her bidding. The puppets are for quick attacks and sneak attacks, able to speed up quickly and launch small scale damage onto an opponent, though those are no bigger than a foot in height. Her golems are much larger, though no bigger than an adult man but way more buff and uglier and can do an incredible amount of damage to the opponent with slow swings and tackles. The golems are obviously much slower, having not completed the tweaks in adjusting their speed to normal human speed, but they are effective in brutal attacks. All her puppets and golems are not 100% perfectly calibrated, however, and can glitch out, sometimes disappearing, sometimes flickering, and sometimes acting erratically without her command. She usually tries to rectify it quickly when this happens, but the glitches can last up to a minute in creating problems, allowing her opponent to hit an opening.

Relationships:
  • Sage Moretti
    • Sage Moretti is Lila’s birth mother. She would do anything and everything for her and admires her quiet strength. She tends to cling onto her birth mother because of her kindness and gentleness, not having a mean bone in her body even when she’s being hurt. While her mother does know some self defense, she never used it while living with her birth father and she kinda of resents that. She still loves her very much, however.
  • Contessa Moretti
    • Contessa Moretti is Lila’s adoptive mother and one she holds in high regard. She was the one to rescue her mother and her from her abusive father and because of that changed her birth name into something more fitting for Contessa’s tastes, not that the woman actually cares. She truly wants to learn everything from her, but the woman adamantly refuses to teach her, saying she is not ready, whatever that means. Nonetheless, she loves and respects her, despite the scolding she would get for hurting Cici and whenever she messes up her magitech. She wants to be just like Contessa when she grows up and it shows in her hotheadedness and revere she has for the woman.
  • Paul Wilson
    • Paul Wilson is Lila’s birth father and she utterly loathes him with the passion of a thousand fiery burning suns. He was the one to abuse both her and her mother in both drunken stupor and sober and she fears his wrath. While not knowing what her mother went through exactly, she just knows she was hit and yelled a lot as well as put down and she hates it so much. More than anything, she wants him to burn in hell where he belongs and wants no mention of his name or face, having burned all the pictures she had of him as well as her mother’s pictures of him without her notice.
  • Ariana Simone Polansky
    • Ariana Simone Polansky is Lila’s younger sister and twin of Sasha Polansky. Ariana Simone and her twin were both on the streets with a really neglectful mother and many, many siblings like them. Contessa found them and reported their mother to the police, the majority of the younger ones being adopted by their older siblings. However, Ariana Simone and Sasha were not adopted by them due to their purple eyes, their siblings thinking they were part Mythic and thus disgusted with them. Not liking this, Contessa decided to adopt them and they were the first to be adopted. Lila honestly loves her sister but thinks she is annoying, her and her twin. Just annoying siblings, what’s not to love? But their screaming and having fun honestly gets on her nerves and it makes her yell at them slightly but in the end she does love them and shows them off to her friends proudly. These two twins...god their synchronization is great. She loves them so much.
  • Sasha Polansky
    • Adopted little sister: annoyed, takes care of, shows off to, helps occasionally, favors more than her twin Sasha Polansky is Lila’s younger sister and twin of Ariana Simone Polansky. Sasha and her twin were both on the streets with a really neglectful mother and many, many siblings like them.
  • Danni "Bubu" Nguyen
    • Danni “Bubu” Nguyen is Lila’s baby sister, left on the doorstep of their home at the moment of her birth. Not knowing where else to turn to, her mothers adopted Bubu into the family and she’s been taking care of ever since. She absolutely adores the baby sister, often taking her everywhere while holding her and making funny faces at, as well as playing with her at every turn. She spoils her baby sister rotten and often shows her off to her friends, feeling proud whenever she shows her adorable sister babbling to her friends. She wants to protect her no matter what and will do whatever it takes to make sure she has the best life ever.
  • Zarla Rishamon
    • Zarla Rishamon is Lila’s younger sister, taken from her abusive parents just recently. Having been forced to fight and starved and constantly put down all her life, she is very much shellshocked and a bit on the quiet side, always thinking she has to fight or she won’t be good enough. Lila honestly hates that and is glad Contessa forced the Mythic council to send them to jail, but she wishes she could kill them and torture them herself. She’s just...a kid though, so she’ll settle for helping her sister. Honestly she wants to protect her sister but her sister insists she can protect herself despite being that traumatized. She hates it and wants to be her shield but with her sister that insistent, she can do nothing but just spar with her and comfort her when she can. Honestly she is in awe of her knowledge and prowess but it worries her considering she is younger than her and yet is so...mature. And...weird at times. And also that traumatized, god she wants to save her somehow but how? She feels despair over this constantly but puts a smile on her face and bears it for her sister’s sake. Just make her happy...and that is all.
  • Cici Ahmad
    • Cici Ahmad is Lila’s younger sister, one she doesn’t want to acknowledge. Cici’s father was a terrorist and was raised under him as a tyrant would raise his kingdom, it was only when he failed to kill Contessa that she was set free from him and adopted by her. Honestly Lila really, REALLY hates the daughter of a terrorist and is highly prejudiced over it. She constantly belittles and torments her, only seeing the daughter of the terrorist and not for who she truly is. Contessa and Sage hate this and try to get her to stop but she keeps doing it, mostly behind their backs when she’s sure they are not looking. She does not have a good relationship with Cici and she thinks she never will, only seeing the terrorist’s daughter and nothing more.

Personality: Lila is like any teenage girl, excitable about things she likes, constantly talking and chattering with her peers and those her age, and always learning something new every day. She is very into music, magitech, computers, and psychology, any sort of science is fun to her and that is her favorite subject. Just studying sciences excites her and she loves to ramble about theories from time to time, oftentimes causing her peers to be overwhelmed by the fount of information she spews as well as be weirded out she can retain that much info into such a short amount of time. That being said, she does have a bit of street smarts despite being bookish, able to shoplift and calculate how to get away the highest load without getting caught, something that surprises her “good friends,” not that she’s entirely good herself. Not when she does have a habit of stealing whatever her mother needed and that she can be very petty and vengeful at times. Wanting to hurt the people that hurt the very things she loves...she knows it’s wrong, she knows it’s evil, but she cannot help but feel that way. It sucks...and she hates it but it’s just so, so hard to get out of those dang feelings and god she is conflicted but what can she do about it? She’s just a kid and she knows it, and it frustrates her she cannot grow up sooner. Being an adult must be so freeing, able to do whatever she wanted and be able to advocate for peace, just like Contessa, her mother that she loves with all her heart. Family is very important to her and she loves the kind you build yourself rather than birth families, knowing that birth families just tie you down to obligations she hates and that the ones you make are far more precious and give better memories. She loves them all with all her heart and will do anything for them, protect them, teach them, cuddle and poke at them with fun things, talk with them, eat with them, all of that and more. And she will die for them and fight anything that will seek to harm them...not kill, since she’s too young and doesn’t want to get into too much trouble, but definitely fight until her last breath. Even then, she does know her limits to a degree...but she loves fighting. A lot. She loves to get into fights and is quite the tactician at times, using all the skills she learned from everyone ever to her advantage. To practice, she spars a lot with her sibling and mothers as well as take to the streets to fight, using the pseudonym Lily F to hide her identity while dressing up to let no one know who she is. Honestly those are fun, but if she could she would use her Lily F persona to fight crime. She is a firm believer in justice, hating terrorists, misogynists, and those who discriminate Mythics and magic. All deserve a chance, but if anyone were seen as evil in her view, like Cici as she is the daughter of a terrorists, then she would not even give them that chance. Better to be wary than to be deceived at times, a bit like her mother, Sage, with her birth father, though she feels guilty of thinking that. Still, she rather be a bit closed off in that regard, not wanting to give people a chance to know her darker side. But if someone can accept all of her...she’d probably be over the moon and gush and just be very girly and romantic. Just...romantic schoolgirl crush. It’d be nice to have that but no. Even now, she still a girl, despite one hardened by her experiences, she knows she’s still just a girl and wants to do some girly things at times. More than anything she wishes she can show people some aspects of her and not facets, but this is hard, she’s always hid something so she feels stuck that she can’t change it. Oh well, maybe one day, but not today.

Background: Lila Moretti, born Effie Wilson, lived a life of fear under her drunken father. Her mother, Sage, took everything for her it seemed, but she couldn’t shield her from all of her father’s abuse, the drunken ramblings and being hit as well as just the berating in general. Lila herself stewed in anger, she wanted to run away but she didn’t want to leave her mother behind. If she did...surely her mother would die. So she stayed for Sage’s sake in hopes that one day she’ll leave the man she married.

Turned out she did have to wait a bit, but eventually they both were freed. Without warning, Sage started disappearing more and more each day while Lila was able to hide more and plot how to get her mother out of the house permanently. The next thing she knew, Contessa came into her life and her father was arrested, much to her shock and euphoria. Now being adopted by a multimillionaire who fought for Mythic rights and other people’s rights in general, she found herself enjoying life for the first time in a long time, discarding the name Effie Wilson to become Lila Moretti and embrace her new life with her new mother. And her mothers were very lovey dovey with each other, something she liked a lot. My god this was romance? She wanted something like this one day! Even if she didn’t entirely understand guys, this was totally fine.

The next person Contessa adopted was Zarla. Never having a sibling before, Lila was fascinating by the girl and for the first few days would stalk her...unfortunately Zarla was that jumpy and quickly whirled around with the swords she kept by her side, much to her confusion. It was then Contessa told her about her family situation she was rescued from...and she was livid. Who would dare hurt someone like that? God she would gladly go after them herself if she wasn’t just a kid. Lila started studying about psychology, particularly the effects of abuse after that, wanting to know more how to heal the trauma that was caused by it. A healing relationship was something she found to help immensely so she tried to be by Zarla’s side from then on, just being friendly and poking and just being there to comfort her, much like her adoptive mother. Zarla was very much okay with it and the two would practice sparring and just talk, becoming closer and closer by the day. It was a nice life and she didn’t think it would get better.

After that it was the twins, taken off the streets since they were wandering and Contessa once more saved them, putting their neglectful mother in jail while the twins were adopted since their older siblings wouldn’t take them due to their eyes. Then it was Bubu, found on their doorstep and immediately taken in to be babied. Shortly afterward was Cici and at first she was very happy with Cici’s adoption...then she found out her story of her being the daughter of a terrorist. Horrified by this, she immediately started tormenting out of fear, fear that grew into genuine loathing as each day passed. While scolded by her family, she couldn’t stop and she didn’t know how much of her feelings would change after that. Still, life was good and she now had a rowdy family to be with, spending each day with her mothers and siblings and simply enjoying life. Now a first year student in high school, she is learning to to manipulate magitech and is intending to live life to the fullest. Maybe she’ll be like her mother one day, she wasn’t sure. But in any case, she will make sure every day was fun and if someone to ruin it...she’ll be ready with her magitech. That feeling of foreboding...what was it…?

Treasured Memories:
  • The day her mother first introduced her to Contessa
  • The day her father was arrested
  • The wedding between her birth mom and Contessa
  • The adoption of each of her sisters though in Cici’s case this is the only good memory of her

Notes:
  • Lila loves to do digital works, basically manipulating the computer and testing out her magitech. Honestly she loves to hack and learned it from her siblings...somehow. She is not going to ask how one of them knows this.
  • Lila is very much into magic...but she can’t wield it she thinks. She’s not too sure. As much as she wants to use magic, she is but a human so she feels inadequate with the Mythics around her. If a human can learn to wield magic...god wouldn’t that be great? Honestly she hates humanity and the fact she is a human...but this is what she is and this won’t change.
  • Lila can say the randomest of things, mostly it’s her contemplating the world, or just theorizing something. BUT MY GOD DOES SHE LOVE CONSPIRACY THEORIES.
  • Honestly, she is not sure how to react to men since her mother is...not really into them. But she does like to observe how they work...she just doesn’t get men at times. Oh, huh, yeah, just watch them talk and eat and stuff, she’s totally not a stalker she swears.
  • She loves adoptions, and the more siblings she has the better. Even if they drive her mad, she loves siblings and she loves a large family. Just the rowdiness and having fun...god she loves families. Family is important to her, the kind you build yourself, and she hates blood family most of the time unless they are kind. Just let her create her own family, without blood to tie things in...and she’ll try to love them all no matter what. ...Just...no one evil please...

Ayaka Hamasaki

Color Code: #6A5ACD

Alt Spelling/Meaning:]彩霞 浜崎

From Japanese 彩 (aya) meaning "colour" combined with 花 (ka) or 華 (ka) which both mean "flower"
From Japanese 浜 (hama) meaning "beach, seashore" and 崎 (saki) meaning "cape, peninsula"

Nicknames: Aya-chan by her friends, Ayaya by Ryouko, Aya by her parents

Occupation: Student; Junior in high school

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Race:Mythic: Elven

Relevance:High

Skills: Her magic gives her the ability to not only manipulate water but gives her higher immunity to the element.

  • Ayaka can move, create, and shape water using her mana to however she sees fit.
  • Her body is completely adapted to breathing underwater, so she can sometimes be found sleeping in fish tanks, swimming pools, and sometimes the bathtub when bathing becomes too relaxing.
  • Fog does not disrupt her vision, but things like steam/vapor still have an effect on her because it's mostly air. While her friends would feel steam/vapor at its full heat, Ayaka would have a higher tolerance to it.
  • Water pressure doesn't affect her body.
  • She has yet to adapt to "keeping her ground" when she summons a wave. So if she sends water towards her opponent, it could very well sweep her away too.
  • She can use her magic to accelerate her swimming.

Relationships:
  • Ichika Hamasaki: "Moooommm, pet my hair like you used to please...Thank you~"
    • Ayaka loves her mother to the moon and back, and partially blames her for her sleeping problems. She understands what her mother went through just so she could have the peaceful life she has with her father, and for that, Ayaka admires her greatly and hopes to one day be as well-liked and beloved as her. Adores her mother's singing voice; hopes to one day be able to sing and calm people like she can.
  • Itsuro Hamasaki: "Dad, please! You're so embarrassing..."
    • Itsuro, like Ayaka's mother, is loved and adored by his daughter immensely. She appreciates him taking the time to train her both physically and mentally and does her best to not disappoint him. Though Ayaka loves her father very much, the only thing she can't stand is him teasing her about her male friends being "potential son-in-laws." This always works to get a reaction, and sometimes even yank his daughter out of sleep mode.
------
  • Juushiro Yukimura: "Thanks for carrying me again Shiro-kun. I'll pay you back one day."
    • Ayaka values Juushiro and holds him very dearly as one of her closest friends. For as long as she can remember, Juushiro and Ryouko have been in her life and sees them as part of her own family. She tends to borrow his lap to sleep on and usually finds herself being carried by him should she starts napping. Ayaka appreciates him and does her best to give back for his kindness by doting and making sure he's doing well.
  • Ryouko Yukimura: "Neeeee five more minutes Ryou... Okay okay, I'm up. Thanks for waking me again~"
    • Ryouko, like Juushiro, holds her very dearly as a close friend. She adores Ryouko's fashion sense and tends to treat her as she would a little sister. She is nowhere near as protective as Juushiro, but Ayaka does try to help her out when she can and sometimes dotes on her. Ryouko dotes on Ayaka as well, which leads to them constantly making sure the other is doing well physically and mentally.
  • Daichi Imagawa: "Can I watch you and Shiro-kun play your prank? Heh, I promise I won't fall asleep and miss it again~"
    • Daichi is part of the "treasured people" club. If she is not doting on him, then Ryouko is. He, like her other friends, is not safe from becoming Ayaka's pillow. She finds his "devil-may-care" attitude amusing, and should he piss off somebody, Ayaka will usually apologize for him to prevent any drama. She really admires his confidence and wishes she could be just as confident as him one day.
  • Satoshi Yukimura: "My dad hasn't said anything embarrassing to you, has he? ...E-Eh?! What did he say?!"
    • Ayaka treats him like a second father. She respects him greatly and sometimes refers to him as "Uncle Sato". She saw him often due to her being childhood friends with his kids and being neighbors. Ayaka gifts him and his family food from time to time as a way to apologize for sleeping at their house.
  • Kyo Yukimura: "Auntie Kyo, I made cookies for your family... I'm sorry about sleeping in Ryouko's closet again."
    • She receives the same treatment as Satoshi in regards to respect and being called "Auntie Kyo." Ayaka thinks this woman is really nice and tends to gift her food from time to time to apologize for sleeping at their house.
  • ??????? ???????: "..."
    • Ayaka wishes things could go back to normal. They don't speak about him, but she misses him dearly.

Personality: Ayaka is a kind, sweet girl with a sleepy disposition but becomes more lively when she and her friends embark on some sort of adventure. Though her appearance gives her off as shy and her sleeping habits lazy, she actually enjoys thrills and adrenaline rushes that come from all sorts of activities (pranking, roller coasters, etc). She also tends to be the peacemaker of the group, doing her best to defuse any potential fights/drama and trying to communicate through problems. If she and a friend (though extremely rare) have a fight, Ayaka will usually be the first to apologize even if she's right. She is also more intelligent than other people give her credit for. Some assume she is failing her classes due to how many times she sleeps through them, but are utterly surprised when Ayaka reveals her grades to them.

Background:

Born and raised to a middle-earth elf and a Dark elf, Ayaka's life would have been surrounded by paperwork and corporate upbringing if her mother hadn't given up a very large inheritance and lavish lifestyle to marry her father. Despite the initial lack of funding in the beginning, Ayaka's parents did everything they could to make their want for naught. They spoiled their little girl when they could, yet still taught her from right and wrong as well as how not to be selfish.

Growing up, Ayaka was often the shy, quiet girl who some even called weird due to how reclusive she was. Before she met the Yukimura siblings, Ayaka mostly kept to herself playing with her toys or sleeping wherever she could. Ayaka, surprisingly, had a very difficult time trusting other people as a child, but eventually, she warmed up to who she now knew as her childhood friends.

She was one of the few that noticed Juushiro's changes regarding his powers and his behavior towards his mother, which concerned her. She did her best to help, but in the end, Ayaka realized that there were just some things words couldn't fix. She hopes that one day everything will go back to normal.

Treasured Memories:[/FONT]
  • Meeting and making friends with the Yukimura family, Daichi, and ??????
  • Learning how to fight and successfully cast magic with her father
  • Her mother singing her to sleep as she pet Ayaka's hair

Notes:
  • Due to Ayaka's mother always singing her lullabies, Ayaka learned to sing so that she may comfort herself and sometimes sing herself to sleep. She is much too shy to sing for her friends.
  • Ayaka may sometimes pretend to sleep if she thinks there's information her friends aren't willing to share with her.
  • When she's alone, Ayaka likes to reminisce about the good times to make herself happy at the moment. This is mostly to keep her thoughts off being self-critical.
  • Ayaka often compares her own fighting and magic abilities to her friends, which has gradually worn her self esteem down. A part of her wishes she had gotten more offensive magic.
  • Ayaka's favorite thing to drink is hot cocoa with a dollop of whipped cream and a few marshmallows.

Damion Winters

Alt Spelling/Meaning: None

Nicknames: None

Occupation: HS Student (3rd Year)

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Race: Hybrid (Tiefling/Demon)

Relevance: High Relevance

Skills:
Innate Magical Abilities:
The ability to shoot out bolts of fire (He can shoot out bolts of flame from his hands that have an effective range of up to 120ft. Overuse of this magic will half the duration of all other spells Damion uses for the day.)
The ability to create minor visual and audible illusions (Such as an apple on a teachers desk or someone calling out down a hall.)
Damion's demonic heritage grants him some amount of resistance to fire.
Learned Magical Abilities:
The ability to make himself invisible (Can stay invisible for about an hour but it drops if he attacks something. He can also still make noise while invisible.)
The ability to create more major visual and audible illusions (Larger illusions with more believable detail such as a talking person or as loud as a fire alarm going off throughout a building. If interacted with though these illusions disappear just like most other illusions. Can create a maximum of two illusions at one time which will have a one hour duration.)

Relationships:
Lora Winters (Damion's human mother) Damion's relationship with his mother is relatively normal. She is happy with how smart she knows her son is but is worried about the rebellious side of him. While she's afraid that his antics will only continue to get him in trouble Damion believes his mother worries too much. He's always had a knack for not getting caught and believes his way of doing things is how he'll make his way in life.

Daarnu Winters (Damion's Demon Father) Much to the displeasure of Lora, Daarnu actually encourages Damion's less than civil antics at school. He's proud to see his son making his own way in the world that isn't bound by what others say; showing that the boy is self sufficient and isn't afraid to bend a few rules to get results. Damion likes seeing his father acknowledge what he does which is what of course convinces him to do more and more. Damion knows his father expects things of him and has no desire to disappoint him; especial after that one time someone slammed a door in his mother face with his father right there.

Personality: At first impressions anyone would see Damion for the slippery slime ball that he is. His constant shifty eyes and devilish smirks spell out no good intentions as plain as a highway billboard. He's constantly scheming and observing as to where and how his next score will happen. He doesn't do things for no reason or for free unless there's a motive behind it. He's the kinda guy that would sell to both sides of a conflict so to speak, playing all sides to his own benefit. But he is still cowardly so when things get too hot has has no qualms ditching certain situations. In best cases he tricks others to get the more risky things he needs doing done with limited risk to himself.

Of course this has earned him more enemies than friends in most cases so he's become increasingly paranoid over the years as well. He never really trusts people who do kind deeds just for the sake of it thinking of them as either trying to get something themselves or that they are just fools. Now, Damion has no problem doing something that ends up positive for someone else so long as he gets something out of the deal. This is likely a big misconception most people will have about the young man; most students simply believing that he's a sower of chaos for chaos' sake. On contrary Damion likes that laws and rules are a thing. Not only do such things inhibit others they also present fun things for him to scoot around from time to time.

Background: Even within the diverse society of Cyberleaf City Damion dealt with his own dose of discrimination like most hybrids and mythics. Due his devilish features it was hard if not impossible for him to make friends with the other children in school. He easily scarred other kids just be being around them and the few kids who wanted to be friends were always pulled away by their parents. Even most elementary teachers simply expected Damion to be a bad seed and so treated him as such without getting to know him first. To combat this Damion would usually create little pets with his innate illusion magics. Through a form of puppetry he'd have full blown conversations with them, making new ones all the time.

Later on in his early teens before high school Damion was picked on for his only friends being ones that he makes up. Many times kids would purposely interact with his illusion friends knowing they would disappear mocking and saying that they killed them; usually forcing his creations to be apart of their games titling them as the beasts. This broke what little compassion Damion had left and which started his own path of bullying. He played countless pranks most of which would get said students in trouble with the faculty as a form of vengeance. Creating illusions of specific students pulling fire alarms, copying voices of various students saying rude things to teachers in the middle of class and anything in between.

Now in high school Damion continues to go about his antics in order to make sure he stays more or less on top of things. He makes deals with students in exchange for later date favors or immediate compensation of all kinds. The young man had become a creation of what society deemed him to be, nothing but a misfit. Only this misfit wanted to make something of himself far beyond what was expected of him from others. Whether it was through good deeds or bad deeds meant little to him so long as he gets ahead in life.

Treasured Memories: There was one human teacher during middle school who'd defended Damion from some kids, giving them all detention on the spot. His name was Mr. Philips and he's the only teacher Damion has ever liked.

Notes: Thomas and William Rosewood are two brothers completely made up by Damion. He commonly creates one or both during school and talks to them and has them respond to him though its barely different than if Damion was just talking to himself. He'll conjure them up to make himself look more imposing at times or to just have someone to validate his ideas with or to even just have people to sit next to at lunch.

Valerie Vendomiir

Nicknames: Val, Veve (“v v”)

Occupation: Student, 3rd year

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Race: Mythic -- Dragon

Relevance: High

Skills: Valerie primarily fights from afar. Her vision is incredibly sharp, allowing her to see farther away and in greater detail than most, including other mythics. When she throws something, she rarely misses. However, because she has focused so much on distance attacks her hand-to-hand combat is lacking. While her power is entirely centered around ice and snow manipulation, she is constantly searching for ways to incorporate technology into it. Her understanding of and capabilities with technology have grown significantly, but she is still searching for someone to teach her. Because of her excellent eyesight, she is skilled in photography and videography.

Relationships:
  • Ruby Vendomiir: Sister -- amused by, views as too passionate, likes to make mad, her preferred target, distant
  • Amelia Vendomiir: Sister -- bored by, likes to upset and scare, views as emotionally weak, distant
  • Darasv Vendomiir: Brother -- both amused and bored by depending on the situation, can tell he is harboring a secret, likes to upset, finds him odd, distant
  • Iskixen Vendomiir: Mother -- respects, doesn’t mess with or bother, distant
  • Elena Correy: Maid -- used to be her main victim but now unfazed, less distant
Personality: For Valerie, emotions don’t come easily. While she is able to feel some emotions, like amusement and annoyance, she struggles to feel deeper emotions. The ones she does feel are dull and surface level, while the others are practically nonexistent. She is only able to fully experience emotion through others, making the ones she does have stronger and allowing her to feel those she does not on an extremely shallow level. As a result, she has developed an affinity for teasing and tricking others, hoping to get a reaction. While she lacks empathy, she will protect her family if the situation calls for it. She doesn’t do this out of love or loyalty, but simply because that is what one is expected to do. That said, if a choice has to be made she will act in her best interest every time. Though she would never admit it, instead insisting that she is simply entertained by the reactions of others, a small part of her seeks to better understand and fully replicate the full range of emotions. As numb and unfeeling as she may seem, there is potential in her yet to tap into an undiscovered wealth of emotion.

Background: From the day she was born, Valerie was an unusual child. Born only eleven minutes after her twin sister Amelia, she came into the world silently. Even as a baby, she never cried, instead silently watching everyone around her. As she grew older she remained stoic and distant, never developing a close relationship with anyone. Already emotionally stunted, her turbulent childhood destroyed her capacity for empathy. Likewise, this negative and unpredictable environment forced her to dull her already lacking emotions, resulting in her eventually losing many of them. While this numbness allowed her to come out seemingly unscathed by her father’s abuse, unworked through trauma sits at the back of her psyche, waiting to come up if she is ever to fully feel again. Though she appears to be the least affected of the older siblings, Valerie shares some open dissatisfaction with her childhood. Mainly, she resented her father for the limits he put on her and her tricks, leaving her in an almost fully emotionless state for many years.

While the same age as her sister, her position as the younger twin slightly lessened the pressure put upon her, though expectations were still high. Due to her apathy, she was unbothered by this pressure, at first training and studying hard only to keep up with expectations. Over time, she found studying and training to be a decent way to pass the time, allowing her to teach herself many new things and become skilled in battle.

When her family first moved to the human world, she was perplexed by their lifestyle and mannerisms. Soon though, she realized that humans were even more emotional than dragons, making them more satisfying targets for her mistreatment. This, combined with the discovery and a resulting interest in technology, has allowed Valerie to smoothly integrate into this new realm. Now, she is more content than she ever was in the Mythic realm.

Notes:
  • She often wears a small camera that she uses to record the mannerisms of others and their reactions to her tricks, as well as anything else she may find interesting. Though it is sufficient, she’d like to create a camera that could be implanted in the eye, so that she can rewatch everything she sees in detail. Because she still lacks the skills to do so, she is constantly searching for someone to build it or better yet, teach her how to do it herself.
  • While she enjoys messing with all of her siblings, Ruby tends to be her preferred target because of how easy it is to get her to react.
  • Because of her ice powers, Valerie is always cold to the touch.
  • She greatly enjoys killing Beasts and would kill another Mythic or human without hesitation if she had an excuse. She has heard that it can give someone an immense thrill and she’d like to feel that excitement.
  • She loves target practice and will conjure up ice daggers to throw at random targets. Living beings are no exception, though she will purposefully avoid directly hitting them by a fraction of a centimeter; she doesn’t need to get herself in trouble.

Zarla Rishamon

Nicknames: (none for now)

Occupation: Middle school student, 3rd year

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Race: Mythic -- Futakuchi-onna and Basilisk hybrid

Relevance: Low to medium

Skills: Zarla is incredibly skilled in both sword and hand-to-hand combat. She fights with twin swords, often covered in acid from her second mouth. She is a fast runner and very agile, allowing her to jump down onto an opponent while wielding her swords. Outside of combat, she is good at first aid and medical care, having had to heal her injuries alone many times. She is adept at sewing, having had to patch up and sew her own clothing since she was a child.

Relationships:
Lars Rishamon: Birth father -- fears, resents, subservient to
Vera Rishamon: Birth mother -- fears, resents, subservient to
Sage Moretti: Second adoptive mother -- grateful towards, subservient to
Contessa Moretti: Adoptive mother -- grateful towards, trusts, would die or kill for, comfortable around, comforted by, subservient to
Ariana Simone Polanksy: Adopted little sister -- overwhelmed by, uncomfortable around
Sasha Polansky: Adopted little sister -- overwhelmed by, uncomfortable around
Danni “Bubu” Nguyen: Adopted baby sister -- thinks she’s cute, entertained by, would kill for
Lila Moretti: Adopted older sister -- likes that she looks up to her, spars with, trusts, comfortable around, would kill for
Cici Ahmad: Adopted younger sister -- relates to, overwhelmed by and afraid of when she’s angry, worried for, would kill for

Personality: Zarla’s life heavily revolves around training to fight. As it is all she has ever known, she is convinced that her only worth is in her skill in combat and is obsessed with eliminating her weaknesses. Despite this, she never feels like she is good enough and struggles with self-esteem. Contessa, her adoptive mother, has helped her to relax slightly, but her obsession is still significant. She keeps to herself and doesn’t say much, but heavily monitors herself when she does speak up. While she has been slowly learning to think and stand up for herself, she remains very subservient to authority figures. Strong negative emotions from others overwhelm her and she will often shut down in response. Despite her apparent fragility, she is a force to be reckoned with in battle and will never back down in a fight or while sparring. She is fiercely protective of the ones she loves and would gladly kill or give her life for them depending on how strong their relationship is.

Background: From the moment she could walk, Zarla was trained to fight. Her parents, Lars and Vera Rishamon, were highly regarded for their training abilities as they taught some of Cyberleaf’s best Mythic guard force members. They were even stricter about teaching Zarla, often pushing her past her physical limits and punishing her severely if she failed. Despite their high status as trainers, Contessa Moretti, her adoptive mother, was able to force them before the Mythic Council. They were subsequently jailed and shunned from their peers, transforming from household names to social pariahs. While she is now safe under Contessa’s roof, she always has the thought of her parent’s return in the back of her mind. Knowing her parents, now that their names have been dragged through the mud and their social status lost, they would be seeking revenge when they got the chance. She worries for Contessa and her adoptive family, convinced that her disloyalty will come back to haunt her.

Treasured Memories:
  • The day Contessa adopted her.
  • The first (and only) time her mother praised her.
  • Her father smiling when she killed her first Beast.
Notes:
  • She has never cut her hair and never plans to. While her father wanted to cut her hair shorter to help her in battle, her mother quickly shut that idea down, knowing it was important to keep her second mouth hidden so that it could be a secret upper hand.
  • Her second mouth seems to have a mind of its own, though Zarla ultimately is in control of it. When she is tired or weak, it is a lot harder for her to take control.
  • Because of her past experiences with food deprivation, she will eat anything you put in front of her, even if it tastes disgusting. She used to eat everything so quickly that she could barely taste it, but Contessa has taught her to slow down and enjoy good food. Still, if she feels as though it can be taken away she will practically inhale it. She has a tendency to hoard food and gets very touchy when others ask about her eating habits. Her second mouth often steals her food.
  • She frequently wraps a scarf around her head in order to gag her second mouth. While it has been taught to be quiet around others, it will frequently beg for food whenever Zarla or it gets hungry. The hungrier Zarla/it gets, the more likely it is to say something Zarla is secretly thinking. When her mouth is closed, it is completely covered by her hair.
  • Around other Futakuchi-onna, the dominant mouth always controls the conversation. Because of the abuse directed towards her by her mother’s second mouth and the punishment she received when her mouth talked without permission, it always cedes power to the other mouth.
  • Lars and Vera view Contessa as the main cause of their downfall, though they also believe that if Zarla had remained loyal and fought to stay with them, no one would have believed Contessa.
  • Her mother and father are incredibly cunning and have been planning their escape from prison for a while now. Should they get out, everyone in Contessa’s family will be in grave danger, especially Contessa and Zarla.
