Credits for Freaks: Gifted Slave Sales

Faye held up two fingers to try and let him know that the second thing he guessed was correct. It was all she could think of, and it was highly probable that he would understand. Just then, the woman came to take one of them. Her heart raced when she heard the door down here open up. Faye hugged her self tight at hearing the harsh words the woman used. She wasn't used to this treatment yet. Her father made sure they were well hidden from the public. Word got out that she was a Gifted after her father passed away, so she had to go on the run. The first time she was bound had been painful for her. Excruciating even. Faye didn't want to feel that again anytime soon.

Dugless D Shugged it wasint the girl he wanted but no matter! Dugless wasint the type to pass off any offer that would work for him. He slams his hands on the table and yells out.

"ILL BUY HER FOR TEN HUNDRED AND FITHIY THOUSAND CREDS!"

He wasint asshame to throw his money where his mouth is, now he didint care what ability she has, he just wanted a trophy to bring home and raise it and train it like a pet. He was full of him self with the sudden incress of money, but dugless didint care about what the limit was. He had connections every where that either owed him money or is paying him for a job. He didint care with others think when he yelled out the price, but if others fought him for the kid he will bet till the other buyer droped out. His grunts had more money with them and he was ready to take over this.

Nathaniel raised his eyebrows at the man's sudden outburst. Well he sure seemed to be enthusiastic, considering the bidding had only just started, and that worked perfectly well for him at this point. He raised his hand slightly, waved it to catch Miss kelly's attention before he spoke.
"I offer ten hundred, fifty thousand and one creds!" He called, offering a single credit more than Dugles. Ah yes, that might be a low move indeed, but a valid one nonetheless, and perhaps his bid would enrage the man into using most of his cash on this particular gifted.

Surprisingly enough, Zack did understand the girl's gesture after a few seconds of pondering over it, wich made him feel somewhat stupid for all his previous attempts to make the girl talk to him when she was actually mute; then again, there was really no way he could have known that before this, he had the power to levitate objects, not read minds, geez. It was then that the darkness that had surrounded them for so long was replaced with dim light as the door to the room opened, the woman trapping them going in, chain and shackles ready in her hands. He went still at that, followed with narrowed eyes as she moved about the room, made quite the rude hand gesture as soon as the woman had turned away, and then as soon as she'd appeared she was gone, taking a girl with her and leaving the remaining gifted in the dark once again. Zack turned back to his neighbor, watched her briefly before he pulled away, sat on the side of his cell opposite to her and sighed.
"You'll probably be gone like that girl pretty soon, they like us quiet and submissive, the damn bastards, and you've got the quiet thing all covered"

Grace nodded to Dugles as he made his bid, chuckling internally at his overly emphatic outburst. It seemed he was rather interested in this particular slave. She nodded in acknowledgement of Nathaniel's bid, waiting for Dugles to make his bid. "If there are no more bids..." she began, turning to make sure the slave was well entrapped by her bonds. This was a quick way to end the bidding, making the most interested buyers think that someone had already beat them to their choice, when really she had no intention of it.

---

Siobahn smiled as she watched the bidding begin, rather uninterested in the first lot. She looked rather thin, and unsuited to her needs. She wanted a strong male, one that would join her for the benefits. She would pay handsomely, of course, but she treated her slaves better than most, however, she would not hesitate to punish those that crossed her, though the need rarely arose. She wouldn't blink a single beautifully painted eyelid if one of her men needed punishing, any more than she would if one of her slaves needed the same treatment. Given their situation, she saw no need to heap more harshness upon their pathetic lives, and treated those that were in her employ the same, no matter their station. Even her men understood that, and were treated accordingly. If they did not have the same views as Siobahn, they wouldn't have been hired in the first place.

Kiara watched as the girl was carted away, her small frame huddled in the corner as far away from the door as possible, while still remaining where she could see and be seen by those who accompanied her in her current state of captivity. She was intelligent for a seven year old child, but most seven year old girls didn't have to deal with daily beatings every day from the time they were three, in a dog eat dog world. The girl's tattoo was worn around her wrists, as she had opted for two rather than one. It was odd how they gave children more choice than the adults. They were, after all, more malleable than adults, easier to manipulate if you made them happy. She realized that now, that she had been used and manipulated all these years. And here she had thought that the world was just peachy, and her parents' deaths were just a bad accident. She knew now, oh yes.

Shivering in the chill of the cold basement room, Kiara kept her eyes on the ground for most of the time, listening to others conversations, hoping that the woman wouldn't make her sit down here all day. How she longed for the warmth of a fire or central air in a big home. All she hoped for in a master or mistress was someone who would be kind to her. She didn't like being hit, and the fact that she couldn't show her hand until there was a reason... it only made her life more miserable. When the boy asked if anyone had a power that could warm him, Kiara smirked to herself. I do, but you would know that if you only bothered to ask. Children don't know anything though, right? she thought, her seven year old mind grasping the idea of sarcasm far too early in her life.

She bit back a wimper as the woman gave each of them an icy glare, burying her face further into her arms, which were wrapped around her knees, hugged tight to her chest in the frigid air. She had tried to braid her hair so that it wouldn't be in her eyes, but her clumsy fingers had botchecd it, and it now lay in a tangled mess around her shoulders, obscuring her doll like features.

Melody watched as one of the men bidded on her, he looked rather excited, she glanced over at him, but only allowed her eyes to rest on him for a matter of moments before she glanced back at the wall, before she knew it, another one of the men had bidded on her, though he had only went up one credit, she allowed her eyes to fall on him this time, he appeared kind for a master, alot nicer than her last ones, but well, anything would have been better than her older masters.

She glanced over at Miss Kelly as she asked if that was all the bids, she glanced down at her wrists, counting the seconds until she would be taken out of the room, and hopefully, if the woman was kind enough, would be taken out of her cuffs and collar, they both were starting to dig into the skin and she could feel the scars started to come up, she took a deep breath, ignoring the pain, waiting for the bidding to be over and for her to be given to one of the men, she simpy wanted this to be over already, she looked back up at the man who had placed the last bid on her, her long almost raven hair hung around her shoulders, half acting like a barrier or curtain, keeping her face out of view from people on each side.

***

Anya glanced up as she heard one of the men bid, sounding rather excited if she said so herself, although she did want a girl gifted, simply because she knew they would get on better, she didn't want one so old, knowing that it would be asking for trouble if she got an older on, simply because an older gifted would prehaps rebel against her after a while, but with a younger one, she could taken it under her wing, show her a piece of her world, simply so she could be trust, simply so the girl would be close, so that Anya could control the girl's gift, so to speak anyway.

She listened as the other man bidded, adding only one extra credit, she crossed her legs and leaned back on the chaise lounge once more, slipping her hands inside her pockets, her dark eyes watching the girl infront of her, she looked at the cuffs and the collars around their wrists and necks, she suddenly felt rather sorry for them, if she had to admit it, though she reminded herself that these people were freaks, they weren't good, they shouldn't be able to have powers. She picked up her wine glass and took a sip, finishing the small glass before placing it back on the table infront of her, waiting for the gifted to be escorted from the room.

Dugless glared at the other man bitterly, But little old dugless isint a sour puss so he bid one more credit higher than the only man. He knew he was being play full until dugless incresses the price again by ten million. He giggles to him self and smiles at the guy. He calls out but not screaming
"ah-hem, How about ten hundred and fithy thousand and two creds"
He starts to pick up his drink slowly and drink very elegant makeing sure all the people where watching him take his drink. He started to think, what will i do with this girl....hummmmm.

Grace chuckled to herself. "Obviously someone really wants this particular lot, and I'm not really willing to spend too much time on this one. There are bigger and better items to be had, friends. Sold, to Dugles D, for one million fifty thousand and two credits." she said, handing the girl over to Dugles, while taking her payment. "The next file is awaiting your wandering eyes, so please, take some time to peruse its contents, and I shall join you shortly with the next lot: a male with the power of levitation, with rather limited results." she said, turning on her heel to retrieve the boy.

Making her way into her own personal dungeon, she leashed the boy, taking care to keep her eyes on the others for signs of agitation and perhaps mutiny. But, of course, they were as quiet and obeyed her commands as usual, with little to no resistance. She kept a special eye on the younger ones, knowing their spirits to be as of yet unbroken.

Returning to the room with the male in tow, she stood him in the same place the girl had vacated minutes before. "The bidding begins at the standard amount, however, I shall add to your knowledge that this particular lot, when left to its own devices, has a tendency to think rather unsavory thoughts, that ought to be put under strict restriction. The previous masters had yet to break him, the last I had heard." she stated matter-of-factly.

Melody looked at the man as he won the bid for her. She alot the woman to 'hand' her over to the man, she took a deep breath, taking in his apperance once more, she wasn't sure what she thought of him yet. She held her cardigan close to her shaking body. She slowly sat down on the wooden chair located next to the luxurious chair her new owner was currently sitting on. She placed her hands on her lap. Her long brown hair fell infront of her face once more, she glanced at him through her hair, it acted like a 'beautifu curtain' as many had described it in the past.

She looked up as the woman returned with the boy, she watched as his bidding began, though she glanced at the floor once more. Slaves were not meant to look people in the eyes, they didn't have that 'luxury' Rather the opposite infact, they had to look at the floor when someone more senior spoke to them, and being more senior to a Slave meant you could be just about anyone. She fixed her hair once more, putting a few strands behind her ears once more.

********

Anya looked at the man as he walked in, she looked through the pages, she thought of perhaps bidding on him, but decided not too. She didn't want someone who thought 'rather unsavory thoughts' Plus, she had her eyes on a certain lot already, and plus, she would rather save her money and get the one she wanted, instead of throwing it away on two others that she didn't want. She crossed her legs and leaned back, placing her hand on the armrest of the chaise lounge, her long well manicured nails tapped against the wood once more.

She picked up her small glass of wine, typical, people looked at her age, not her wealth, power or any of the rest. She probably wouldn't buy from here again, she didn't like to buy from the one place too often. She looked at the boy once more, waiting for someone to bid on him. She wondered how much he would go for.

Faye watched as the boy across from her was taken next. She retreated to the corner of her cell, holding her legs close to her again, maybe even tighter. Soon the time would come when she too was taken, and sold to someone she didn't even know. All she could do now was pray that her master or mistress was at least a little nice to their gifted. Faye felt herself start to cry again. She didn't know why. She just buried her face in her legs and cried silently to herself. Her life was about to change drastically, and she had no control over what would happen. Maybe that's why she was crying...

Grace tried to do her best to upsell her lot, and only ended up with a very small profit, selling him to Nicholas, the handsome male factor. She sighed as the man left, not bothering to stick around for later lots.

"Alright, ladies and gents," Grace said, after Nicholas and Dugles had left with their purchases, both seeming rather pleased. "The next lot is a small female, aged seven. She has the power of liquid manipulation, with varied results. It doesn't speak much more than to acknowledge orders, and seems to have room for potential growth." she stated, clasping her hands behind her back. This lot had cost her dearly, and as a result she would have to raise the normal opening price. "Because of the unusual age of this particular item, and its potential for being greater than it already is, my friends, the opening bid will be a bit higher than normal. Please, take time to look through the file provided for your viewing pleasure, while I go retrieve it." she said, turning on her booted heel to walk toward the basement.

---

Kiara shivered in the cold, willing her blood to heat up in her veins, to little success. She smirked at the other lots, how small and malnourished they seemed to her, and then felt a deepening sense of sadness for them, that they were given to such a poor lot in life. "You." a voice barked at her, and she cringed, listening to the sound of keys in a rusty lock to the cage she was left to rot in. She hugged the far wall, and her limbs locked in that sad way that was becoming familiar to her as the voice, harsh and full of hate, gave the command for her to stay absolutely still. A collar was placed around her young throat, and she stifled tears that threatend to spill out of her young, blue eyes. She followed the woman that led her to a room that was warm and full of people who just stared at her. This is how meat feels at the butcher's. she thought to herself miserably. She was told to stand up straight, to never meet those cold eyes of those that might pay for her to be their newest pet, and did so unwillingly, pushed by the vile magic that controlled her kind. She wanted nothing more than to make them all scream, to writhe on the floor in agony as she made her escape, taking the rest of those in the basement with her. She heaved a mental sigh, and focused her icy gaze on a spot on the floor.

---

"The bidding will begin at two hundred and fifty thousand Credits." Grace stated, hoping that her clients wouldn't take offense at her words, as she opened the bidding.

As the other woman left to get the next gifted, Anya moved forward and picked up her glass with one hand, taking a sip before resting her arm down on the arm rest. She crossed her legs and rested the folder down on her lap, flicking through it slowly. This one seemed good, wasn't too old, perhaps wouldn't rebel too much. Her mother had suggested that she should try to get the youngest of the gifted, so that she could 'train' her. She took another sip of her champagne before the woman returned.

She watched the gifted, her sole focus seemed to be a spot on the floor. Two hundred and fifty thousand wasn't too bad. She gave the girl once last glance before she finished reading the folder. Anya pushed a strand of fallen hair out of her face and nodded her head at Grace, raising a few of her figures as a sign that she was placing her bid at the price she just said, before changing her mind "Three hundred thousand credits" She said a moment later. If she was only going to buy one, then she could afford to go a little crazy.

She twirled her glass between her fingers for a few moments. Her dark brown eyes watched the..child..in front of her. A gloved hand came to rest under her chin as she waited for one of her companions to attempt to out bid her. She leaned back in her chair with a sigh. She moved down to pick her up her handbag that sat next to her chair, she pulled out her cheque book, taking a pen as she leaned back once more, waiting to be able to sign the dotted line and leave. She didn't exactly like being here any longer than she had to be.

In a black Chrysler 300c sat Laurence Kane in the driver's seat. He was a fairly rich and well known man because of his popular nightclub, Mist, and the fact that his father is the "King" of organized crime. He smiled brightly to himself as he made his way to the gifted auction, feeling a little excited to finally have one of his own. Laurence just hasn't had the time to get away from the club to go out and buy one until now. He wasn't one to have someone else drive him around since he rather enjoyed driving. Plus he didn't trust some of his servants since he knew a few of them held some pent up anger for him, yet he didn't quite know which ones they were.

Laurence pulled up in front of the place where the auction was going on, knowing that it had started long before he arrived. Stepping out of his car, he locked it and set the alarm before entering the building. He was wearing a red dress shirt with the first few buttons at the top unbuttoned, a nice black pinstripe coat that was left unbuttoned completely, black dress pants, and nice black dress shoes that matched the rest of his clothing.

He stayed quiet as he went inside the Golden Wing, closing the door behind him without making a sound. Laurence was being polite since the auction was going on at the moment.

"Hello my good man." Laurence greeted Louis as he walked up to the bar. "The auction is currently going on, correct?" He asked with a polite smile. "Am I free to enter the room where it is being held whenever I please?"

Louis looked down at the man that arrived on his own, looking rather abnormal for one of Grace's clients. "Better hurry. I hear there are only about three lots left, kid." he replied to the man's inquiry, crossing hairy arms over a wide barrel of a chest. "Down that hall, fourth door on the left." he said, pointing with his chin, before turning to deal with another customer.

---

Siobahn sighed, not particularly caring for this lot. She had come here hoping for something male. Young. Virile. This runt of a thing would never come close to any of her expectations. Rather than sit back and bid seriously on this little girl, Siobahn decided that now would be a prudent time to make sure anyone, particularly that little brat of a girl Anya, who wanted this lot spent far more than they had intended. She raised her hand to indicate a wish to bid, accompanied with "Five hundred thousand."

---

Grace nodded to acknowledge Anya's bid, and then her eyes widened only a fraction as another woman, the blonde, bid far more than she had thought this girl would bring in. "Alright, we have five hundred, anyone willing to go for five hundred and five?" she asked, placing a hand on her hip, the other resting on the edge of the only bar in the room. She swalled in anticipation. Perhaps this would prove to be a much more profitable veture than she could have imagined.

---

Kiara sighed inwardly, as she listened to the sounds of the auction going on. This wasn't anything new to her, it was just a little more expensive than usual. People didn't usually want her so much. Had someone found out about her special abilities? Or were they just hoping that if they paid more for her contract, that they would be able to train her more easily? Whatever the case, she was pretty sure she was screwed either way.

Anya was fairly confident that no one was going to try to our bid her at this moment in time. That was until the woman next to her decided to enter the bidding war. She turned her head slowly, watching the woman once more, listening as Grace spoke "Five hundred and twenty thousand" She said, her eyes still glaring at the woman as she turned her head away from her to look at Grace once more. She watched the girl, if she was only going to buy her, then she could afford to go the whole way and pay a rather extravagant sum of money for the girl, you only get what you pay for after all.

She leaned back on her chair, taking another sip at her drink, she smiled as she took the glass from her lips, leaving a red lipstick mark on the rim of the glass of over-priced wine, placing it down on the table as she watched the girl. She could easily afford to get the best people in to deal with the little girl, it would be easy to deal with her. First, she would spoil her, gain her trust then bring her 'friends' in, have them preform all sorts of tests on her, see how they could make her stronger, and so on and so forth.

She looked at the other woman, as though daring her to bid once more so she could out bid her.

Siobahn's lips curled upward in a small smile. "One million credits." she voiced. She knew she could very well afford to pay that, if the upstart child beside her chose not to bid again. She sipped at her drink, absentmindedly setting it back down and running her fingers over the glass. She would not bid again, but if she were any judge of character, she had a feeling that Anya would bid a very extravagant sum, if only to make sure Siobahn didn't bid again, forfeiting the child gifted to the spoiled child next to her.

((Sorry it's not particularly long. Not exactly a lot to do right now but drive Anya crazy. xD))

Anya rested her head down against her hand and watched the child. Her mother was going to kill her, but if her mother could justify spending millions on diamonds and sapphires, then she could spend a little over a million on a gifted slave. She leaned forward on the chair, the diamond ring on her finger caught the light and sparkled as she took a deep breath "One million and one hundred thousand credits" Her voice filled the woman before she leaned back against her chair and looked over at the woman, although she may be slightly older than her, she had a feeling that the woman saw her as a child. Something she was far from amused about.

She crossed her legs, her Louboutins resting against each other, her brown eyes looked determinedly at the gifted in front of her before she turned her head around to glare at the other woman, waiting to see if she would have to drop a couple of more thousands to get her slave. Even if it was just to show the woman how far she could go

Siobahn felt her face shift into a look of amusement, one eyebrow cocked just ever so slightly upward. She met the girl's eyes, and decided that she was done playing. She met Grace's eyes, and put both hands up, as if in surrender. Lifting her own glass to her lips, she flashed her teeth at the little heiress beside her before taking a sip and setting the crystal back on the table.

---

Kiara flicked her eyes up for only a moment, to catch a glimpse of the woman she had just been sold to, and almost laughed aloud. The woman was really not all that old, though she had sounded like somone much older; someone used tog etting what they wanted, when they wanted it, no questioned asked. This is going to be quite the... adventure... the little girl thought to herself resignedly.

---

"Sold, for one million one thousand Credits." Grace voiced, her hands shaking a little in sheer glee. She had never thought to bring in this much profit from any one lot, though she had hoped that this one would bring her at least a small profit, given the high price she had paid for the girl. She surrendered the paperwork, and the pendant , to Anya, and stood back in her place in the front of the room. "Well, that was interesting, indeed." she said to herself, after collecting her Credits from the girl.

Laurence simply nodded with a smile to Louis and followed his directions to the lobby. He slowly and quietly opened the door and closed it as he entered the room. He observed the women bidding over the young gifted girl, and decided to stay out of this one. Laurence stood at the back of the room, simply looking over all the females there. He didn't bother ordering a drink before coming in here. If he was to, he would have ordered a strong alcoholic drink, but he was the one to drive here, and he wasn't planning on calling a cab or taking a trip to the hospital in an ambulance today.

He arrived just as a young woman bid one million credits on the slave, and stayed in the back of the room as the bidding ended, the gifted being bought by the other woman with one hundred thousand more credits than the first girl had offered. As the very young gifted girl was being handed over to the winner of the mini bid war, Laurence took a seat in a chair near the one who gave up the bidding earlier. There he waited for the next lot to be brought out, leaning back casually in the chair as he did so, resting his arms lazily on the arm rests.

Anya couldn't help but smile to herself. She watched as Grace walked over with the paperwork. She picked up her bag and pulled out an ink pen, flicking through the pages before signing the line at the bottom, taking her cheque book out and quickly writing the rather extragent amount of money before ripping it from the book and handing it to the woman "Try not to spend it all at once, darling" She said, before standing up. "If you all don't mind, I have an appointment I need to get too" She said, she slipped her knee length black coat on once more, fixing her gloves as she picked her bag up, placing it on her shoulders.

"Follow me" She told the girl as she headed in the direction of the door, her high heels clicking as she walked, glancing behind her as she got to the door, holding it open for her new slave before taking her sunglasses out, placing them over her dark brown eyes. The man standing at the back of the bar headed towards them, taking ahold of the slave's arm and guiding her out behind Anya towards the waiting Rolls Royce Phantom heading outside as Anya helped herself get into the back of the car.
