Controversial Opinions?

I think what Torsty meant to say was:

I think he failed to account for the "beaten up and branded" remark at the end, which IS controversial.

As for my own ideas. I believe Teenagers can love, deeply and intensely. I also believe that people as far as 10-15 years apart can find true happiness together.

I'm also a supporter of gay marriage, polygamous weddings, and the begetting of children in such unions, as long as all people involved are okay with it.

And then my most controversial idea: I believe there needs to be a lot more research done on Peadophilia. Some men are branded criminals while they've lived with feelings they couldn't cope with for years before they finally gave in. I believe Child Hentai could go a long way in alleviating some of these feelings (the same way regular porn can get your mind of things for a while.) and should be legalized. I also believe that sometimes (just sometimes) a child is traumatized more by the media-circus surrounding daddy, then the fact that he stuck his 'pee-pee' into her 'fore-butt'. It's a known (though sometimes not accepted fact) that some of these 'criminals' DO love their children. There's even people who (when they came of age) said. "He made me feel special, I had no idea it was wrong."

I don't think a High School Degree or College should be mandatory for getting a job. If you have the experience and the knowledge on your resume, with references to back you up, Why should a slip of paper cockblock you from getting a job? Some people can't afford thousands of dollars for a fancy degree, but have still put in the time and effort to learn. And many of those people are smarter than a lot of graduates that bullshitted their way through school. >:[

Thats why I want the apprentice system brought back. And work experience should be BETTER than a degree. Actually in the trenches doing that shit rather than prancing about slapping people with a piece of paper. FUCK THOSE TARTS

@the full body scanners :: I actually don't mind the scanners because I'm pretty sure those people could care less after seeing fifty bajillion people scan through. What I hate is when they do at my school and make me take my SHOES OFF. Especially when I'm wearing flats, I mean, they're like scanning the thing (which is practically paper-thin a slipper kind of shoe) like it's going to go KABOOM. Seriously.

I believe that after the 127462th time, FACE BOOK SHOULD STOP CHANGING ITS GODDAMNED FORMAT! Every TIME that me and my friends FINALLY catch up and know where everything is: IT CHANGES AGAIN!
 
I'm confused by my own controversies, if that makes sense.

On abortions: I do agree with the fact that it's the woman's own choice, I honestly do. However, as a near-abortion, I due tend to feel a bit of resentment towards my mother, as she tried having an abortion on me, my dad talked her out of it, and then she lied to me about it for a good 10 years...

On domestic abuse: NO. Domestic violence is, under no circumstances, right. Wife beaters and husband beaters alike, no. Taking your rage out on the person you pledged to stay with isn't right, and being married to them doesn't justify your actions. If you feel angry enough to hit someone, find another way to rid yourself of it. Play games or something.

On scanners: I'm flip-flopping on this one... I can understand the need for scanners, I suppose. However...Making a student empty their bags, take their shoes off, and get jabbed with those infernal wands is too much. I mean, they jab you with that thing instead of waving it. They'll essentially stab you with it, and it HURTS. Also, I've noticed that certain people running the machines aren't fair. Certain kiss-ass people don't even have to go through it half the time, and those tend to be the ones who pull a gun or something out! Then you've got the racist bastards who feel the need to spend an EXTRA 5 MINUTES doing this because someone's black or asian or vietnamese, etc. And I'll be the first to admit: A good majority of white people are racist as HELL. There, I said it.

Rape: I'm unforgiving on this. I don't care how messed up you are, rape is unforgivable. I agree that any rapists should get castrated or get their member chopped off. It sounds barbaric, but a good majority of rapists tend to strike again after their sentences. I'm particularly strict on this, as a friend of mine was raped twice. The first time, she was 2. TWO YEARS OLD and she is being sexually violated! To make it worse, it was incest! She was 2 god damned years old, people! And nothing happened to the bastard! Then, she was raped again at 12! The f***er got a short little sentence, and sure enough, about 3 months later, the waste of skin tries another girl! The fact is, if you're that messed up, that you need to force your little organ into a girl without her consent, YOU ARE A WASTE OF DAMN SKIN.

I wasn't talking about rape, just to be clear on this. I was talking about pedophilia. Sure they go hand in hand some, if not most times, but this is not always the case, or intended. I also do not condone the abuse of children. I'm simply pro-research and legalizing 'harmless' animated child pornography to alleviate the sexual stress of these guys. I mean, there's animated RAPE out there. Even some pretty messed up stuff in real porn. So why is legalizing this stuff (the porn, not the actions) so hard?
 
I firmly believe that taking Psychology in school does NOT give you any sort of comprehension of human emotion and action. Understanding the way people work comes from actual human interaction. Meeting people, talking to people. LOTS of people. Psychology books are just dictionaries. So when I get in to a discussion with someone about something I've had personal experience with and they pull out that "Well, I've studied Psychology, so you're wrong." I immediately want to throw them out a window.

There's a kiss-ass in my Soci class who claims to be heading for a major in Psych. She asked me what my major was (IF I had one) and I said "Zoology" and she started laughing.

"WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO WORK IN A ZOO?!"

Had a debate with the significant other on this one.

I dislike the education system as it is now...suffice to say, I'm not bashing the qualities of getting a good education, but prices are such that those without enough money are getting a second rate education as is...sometimes incomplete and often in sometimes violent environments.

I salute the simpler time when a piece of paper wasn't as important as a well fashioned sword or plow. I support the time when those who did the job well, and worked hard rightfully owned their positions as masters of the craft...and as authorities on stable lifestyle. Nowadays an employer won't look at you sideways unless you have a fancy few documents telling him/her that you can do what it is he wants. There is no fly or fall...hell...you aren't even dropped into the airspace unless you have five passports to back you. Merit is merit...skill is skill. Just because I can hold up an A in college math class doesn't mean I remember ANY of that shit. In fact, some of the classes you are required to take in college don't seem to service someone once they hit the working world. Some may argue it gives one a larger view...and maybe that's true. But if one was curious about Biology...they could read a book on it...or ask a scientist. True skill is gained through patience, hard work, and constant challenges. The school system treats us all as equals regardless of intelligence.

Intelligence < Work Ethic

The smart kids may graduate with high marks, and certainly many have worked hard to gain such degrees...I am not stomping on your diplomas here...but sometimes those with a great deal of intelligence skate through on the fumes of their own innate talent...never learning the actual abilities that can contribute to society. I'm one of these...just coasting on my natural talent...but as soon as I hit the real world I'm going to either crash and burn...or do as many do and cling to a safe job without risks and utterly devoid of actually giving BACK to humanity...utilizing and honing your gifts.

((Personally I hope my efforts will grow me a spine before then))

So...give me the mechanic who never went to school but worked on cars actively his entire life. He may talk funny...or smell funny...but goddamn does he do a good job on fixing my ride up.

Ok, I have the controversial opinion that xrays need a WHOLE lot of shit done to them if they can't figure out exactly how much radiation you're getting with each swipe.

Why?

I'm 18. I'm had at least a hundred x-rays and I'm not joking.

Why that?

I had a massive underbite, kept trying to correct it, but finally got it taken care of with a NINE HOUR SURGERY.

After that. I had like twenty MORE x-rays.

Then I saw that little tidbit on the news, and how a man lost his wife to it.....

I'll be damned if they saved me in one way, and killed me in another.

SO EXAMINE THE DAMNED XRAYS!
 
Some people treat earplugs and headphones as the spawn of the devil.

Personally, I think there should be a written code of ethics for people who use them and for people who approach people wearing such items.
