Welcome, children, to the Otherworld.
Do you have what it takes to survive?

The Otherworld is complicated, a maze of everything and anything a person can fear. From the Boogie Man, to sharks and huge cobras that poison your blood. The Otherworld has everything you could ever contain in your worst nightmares. One day you wake up and you've been put into the Otherworld, summoned there by nothing other than their worst memory. People in the Otherworld have done awful things in their lives, and the only thing they can remember when they wake up is the single worst moment of their lives.

Whether you were a terrible person, or maybe you were a good person who did some seriously bad things, but for pure reasons, you were put into this hell. You were put here to suffer, and it's as simple as that. What did you do? Why are you here? Well, you don't know. When you wake in the Otherworld, you have no recollection of your life except for one thing: you only remember your worst memory. That one memory is what you take with you into the Otherworld. You don't even have a name to put to your own face.

At first, the flow of people thrust into the Otherworld was small. Now, there are around 100 survivors in, fighting to stay alive.

No one that has ever been placed into the Otherworld has gotten out, up to this point in time. Few of them, however, have remembered their names. In various ways, they learned them, and their names clicked. Fewer of them still have gained some of the memories of their past lives, but not many of them. The most any person has gained was 5 flashes of memory, their name, and that terrible memory they arrived with, but that person is now dead.

The Otherworld is just what the title suggests, another world. It is smaller than earth, MUCH smaller, maybe the size of a small state. It also has different "areas", as its inhabitants like to say. These areas each have different obstacles and such, except for one. The village that the surviving inhabitants have taken has little to no obstacles, as they have cleared out most of them and keep patrols lining their borders.

NOTE: If something happens to your body on the outside world, where you physically are, you feel it in the Otherworld. If someone cuts you in the outside world, you bleed in the Otherworld. And vice versa, so watch out.

When the Otherworld first came into being, its inhabitants formed a colony of sorts and found one semi safe place to take shelter, clearing out the monsters who had been there previously. Now it consists of small huts and a few cottages, with the Otherworld survivors living inside of them. There's one larger cottage in the middle of the village, where a council of the oldest survivors of the Otherworld meet to discuss matters and set up their border patrols.
One of the sort of less dangerous zones in the Otherworld, there are few to no monsters in this zone. Sometimes you'll see a cannibal clown, but all you have to do to make him go away is honk his nose. There are mirrors wherever you turn, it's virtually a maze. Over the years, the survivors have devised a map for the maze to safely get in and out without getting lost. However, the longer you stay in the Mirror Zone looking at those distorted images, the less and less control you have over your mind. Really, it's not only your vision that gets distorted by the mirrors but your very mind itself.
The Spook Zone is very dangerous, especially if you are new to the Otherworld. This zone is filled to the brims with all different monsters you hear about for Halloween. Ghouls and ghosts and vampires and werewolves and goblins, you name it and this place has it. Beware of this place, because unless you know how to fight your way out you aren't getting out.
Creatures:
Raptors- Flying creatures with huge claws and teeth, they travel in packs.
This zone when you are inside and clueless, seems so completely harmless. There are no monsters here at all, and anything you could ever wish for is held here, but you can't stay. The longer you stay, the more of your mind deteriorates. You came to the Otherworld with nothing but your worst memory, but staying here will empty your mind of all things. You will become what is medically referred to as a "vegetable."
This zone amplifies that one memory you come to the Otherworld with, blowing it out of proportion in your face until you can't take it anymore. There are little to no monsters here, but the air around you suffocates and that one memory goes on replay in your head more than it already did. It closes in on you, and the zone even has a way to replicate that memory, putting you back into that moment. It becomes so great many have been said to have stabbed themselves right in the zone just to make it stop.

Positions
Fighter
Salvage anything that can be suitably used as weapons. They train constantly to make sure that when they are sent out into the other areas of the Otherworld. They go out on patrols, sometimes border patrols too, they are very familiar with the various dangers of the Otherworld and areas, as well as the monsters and their weaknesses.
Guard
This job is primarily guarding the borders against monsters getting too close. They are almost always accompanied by at least one Fighter, and are trained in combat just in case. The Fighters find their weapons for them. They also periodically go on patrols to find newcomers that haven't found the Village yet.
Forager
Though they are in a deliria world, they still have basic needs. This was put in by the Madmen to make their situation all the more difficult. This means people need to find food. There are small plots of land used for farming in the Otherworld, but not much. This means sometimes these people go on low level patrols with Fighters to find food.
Infirmary
The infirmary houses all sick and/or hurt Otherworld survivors. They kind of act as doctors. Some people here are the doctors/nurses, and there are just a few that supervise the younger Otherworld survivors, and the ones just arriving in the Otherworld. They coach these newcomers and help them to understand how their society works.
Tech
The Tech sanction handles all technological aspects of the Village. Though there isn't much, there is a basic communications system in place and an alarm system for emergencies in the Village. This is a very small sanction, but very important to the Village upkeep.
Council Member
Any council member must be approved by me and be a senior Otherworld survivor. These people supervise all activities inside the Village, and meet to discuss what they should do in difficult situations. They also organize the patrols to keep out the monsters. There are always 6 members of the council, 1 president, 1 Fighter representative, 1 Guard representative, 1 Forager representative, 1 Tech representative, and 1 Infirmary representative.
