Colors of the wind is about a young Native American girl named Cheyenne or as her father likes to call her 'Chey'(Shy) Cheyenne doesn't belong to just any normal tribe of Native Americans, her tribe is known for shape shifting into horse. Only taking their human forms occasionally, they live as a heard of mustangs moving from place to place.

For many a year her families tribe has been at war with another shape shifting tribe who happen to take the form of wolves. The two tribes constantly fighting for land, which was something Cheyenne could never quite understand. ' Why fight for something that isn't yours', she always said. But after one day the fate of both tribes would be changed forever. Cheyenne met the son of the Wolf tribes chief and now they are in love and must do their best to keep it from their tribes.
