The year is 2018 a.t.b. / Revolution Year 229-230 December...Emperor Richard Von Britannia has passed on...leaving Princess Harmonia La Britannia on the royal throne among large descent from the nobles...She was originally twentieth in line to the throne at the time of her ascent. Emperor Richard in his high throne in the Imperial Capital Pendragon chose to pass it along much down the line after Crown Prince Kyle Don Britannia was caught in affair with a eleven woman. Scandals have broken out through the Empire as the seventeen year old empress takes her seat on the throne. Many still view Prince Kyle as the rightful ruler though him himself gave her his blessing. Backing her is the old loyalist faction of Richards. A sturdy group of strong noblemen from Britannian's heartland. Prince Kyle's beloved younger sister likewise has his support as well which brought in the Progressive faction seeking to advance Britannia into a new era.

However...among the crowning ceremonies, and preparations there are whispers going among the military personnel, and nobility. Planned coups, leaks, and unrest in the citizenry. Though unions hold little power in Britannia due to Imperial rule being absolute the citizens still back, and make many of Britannia's raw materials. It is the people who man the armies the Emperor sent to take Japan. And they are the same ones distrusting further abuse by their new empress as kind as she is she is inexperienced. Though due to a ceasefire The European Alliance has ceased hostilities with Britannian Occupational forces in Spain, and France. Britain, Scotland, and Ireland remain under occupation under General Bradley Hanon. These citizens are gathering in large numbers more frequently. Riots are forming and while the knights of the round have managed to forcibly quell things from going out of hand. It its these citizens who now are making for a push to lessen the noblity's strangle hold led by Henry Long. A manufacturer of steel in northern Britannia though he is not a noble he is wealthy enough. Coming up from a horror story in the slums of the worst areas of Britannia Long is a living legend even to those who do not support him. He rose, and became a king pin in economics even at one point attending to a crisis in the name of the late King Richard.

Among the nobles things don't seem to be fairing better many nobles view the new empress as incompetent, and a liability. Supported by even some of the Knights of the Round these nobles are secretly arming themselves. Preparing for a possible rallying call...war is coming it is inevitable be it in the capital, or across the whole company many nobles are plotting to take a hold of power in this new vacuum. It is on the west coast that this sentiment is the strongest. Many of the Britannians there dislike that they now have to trust in a new child queen put into power by the will of the late Emperor due to scandal, and in fighting between his oldest children. Knightmare brigades are secretly being made fueled by veterans of the Japanese campaign, and even some from the nobles who fought in Europe.

Things are becoming clear...civil war is being ushered in...whispers...hate...and anger fuel the fires. When things come out what will survive? A whole Britannia...or a lesser one?

Hello everyone this is going to be an alternative universe roleplay revolving around the Code Geass Universe. Lelouch, and crew won't be around for this roleplay this will be purely done with player made characters using canon, or semi-canon Knightmare frames. You may feel free to request custom units if you're a knightmare pilot, but I may restrict some depending on what are asked for. We will (all) be playing the Noble Faction seeking to overthrow Queen Harmonia La Britannia off her throne. If the above is worded poorly, or you don't understand basically a young princess has ascended the throne after her father's death. The Prince marked with scandal chose to put his sister on the throne for reasons only he would know. His immediate younger siblings are all embroiled with in fighting further weaking their unity. You may play a noble, a soldier (likely an elite if you want a major part in the story, or at least a talented soldier), or a knight of the round/noble's knight. The overview of the roleplay will be a three way war between the three factions for control of Britannia. The citizens will rise up shortly into the rp due to a harshly put down riot. A syndicalist uprising seeking to 'break their chains'. The current knightmare generation goes up to six maybe some early sevens. Custom/High spec suits like the Lancelot, Galahad, Guren are all going to belong high ranking pilots, or knights of the round. Things like the Mordred will only belong to a knight of the round who would join us, or a player who is able to claim it proper if they capture its pilot later. This is because there is no logical reason for the Britannians to have the Lancelot in the hand of some backwater noble with little combat experience.

The Britannians currently control territory roughly equivalent to R2 minus Russia, and France. Spain is currently under control half, and half due to the ceasefire.

If you have any ideas, or questions you want to discuss you may feel free to ask.

Definitely seems like a fun idea and Code Geass is my favorite anime by far. Gonna just see what interest piles up as well as my personal time availability but yeah great job ^^. Really liking the idea of maybe a Knight of the Round. Also what are we doing for a C.C. Equivalent or the power of Geass in general

If you want to make a knight of the round for our noble faction that is fine. As for Geass/C2 I wasn't planning on incorporating them to heavily into the rp. If there is a want for that I'll fandangle something in my intent was to make a full on Britannian oriented rp focused on the civil war. Geass will be brought up later but it is going to be a sub plot relating to either the syndies, or the Britannians it depends on what is more focused on, and how things work out.

Interesting. But I am game :) Knight of the Round sounds good by me

Have any advice for places to find a picture for my Knightmare Frame?

The wiki usually has all the frames

Torn between wanting to play a noble who's been hiding their identity, and a soldier of some kind, but I think I've got an idea that could merge the two into one. Rather than play royalty, maybe it'll just be some duke's brat who has a problem with how things are being run at home better idea of how to run things, and lofty goals, but not the same chessmaster specialization that Schneizel / Lelouch have.

It won't be an elite soldier deserving of high class knight frame, but a competent one. Maybe an enemy's frame will end up getting appropriated? Not immediately, but a few fights in, maybe. On the other side of things, there's the soldier's "day" life of being some nobleman's kid, which means there can be a job opening for an aspiring knight, if not a knight-of-the-round.

What's the age range for the characters?

Last edited:
Ill probably be mid twenties or so

I could do a character in the younger age range, close to what would fit in with the show's main cast, or I could do someone a bit older. The difference will end up being whether the character is leading a double life like Kallen was first introduced, or just straight up missing from the family's home, having assumed a new identity (after funneling a significant amount of funds into secret places).

Yeah could aim more towards 18-21 depending on the whole cast set up and the backstory I come up with when we get more peeps

I apologize for not answering sooner I kind of wrote off this as a lost interest check but since more people want to play I'll answer.

@Fyrra Dukes are rather high up you may want to consider a margrave, or an earl. I'm not saying you can't play the son of a duke but that means much higher political meaning.

There is no specific age range requirement but they should be at least an adult, or close to it, or able enough to function if they're in old age. My own two characters will be a noble, and his eleven body guard who are in their mid twenties.

I'm okay with a lower rank. Either way, the character's concept is that her family is part of the faction loyal to the throne, but she's gone missing and is in the middle of betraying them. In her mid-twenties, she'll have disappeared from the estate completely, and be difficult to connect to her previous position in life.

We should go for the thread anyway, even if it's just the three of us. People might take interest once the thread is underway.

I'll consider making one soon but the rebellion won't have started yet I intend to start it one day prior to the coronation, secretly root out a loyalist base out from under them under the guise of terrorists, and then declaring open rebellion after the coronation is official so they have to deal with a weak queen.

If I have the time, I might make a character for this.

Rooting out a base of people who are loyal to the empress? Something tells me you wouldn't have to look very hard. Anyone claiming noble blood would at least be vocally loyal to the crown's authority if they don't want to be accused of treason. Alternatively, "Disguised as terrorists? We're trying to overthrow the emperor; we are terrorists."

Let me clarify: The west coast, and midwest with some of central America are currently under control of the Noble Faction as their leaders have aligned themselves with the Noble faction leader. Despite this there is still a base, or two in the territory the nobles don't have complete control over. The plan from the Nobles is to purge the area under control by loyalist officers and disguise it by sealing down the area's exits then use the media to broadcast their cover story. Basically its clean up, and even if they're found out there's not much they can do majority of soldiers in the region are noble faction backed. The East coast, and south is the main power base of the main Britannia army. The north, and great lakes area is currently under heavy chaos caused by displeased workers who are using the court's turmoil to try, and push for better rights for workers are disregard by the emperor. Richard was a fair emperor but he wasn't all to effective, and many view the invasions as wasteful to an extent. Thus syndicalism led by a industrial magistrate has shown up, and will boil over shortly after the noble revolt. South/East vs. North, vs Midwest/West Coast.

The nobles have resources, and science. Loyalists have top pilots, and legitimacy, Long's boys have manpower, and black market connections.

Let's see if I've got this all down.

So the emperor Richard has died recently, under mysterious circumstances, natural causes, or assassination? His children each vie for the inheritance of the throne, separated into their own groups, making it look like the empire is soon to crumble, but at the time of the thread start, it has been decided that the first in line for the throne is being passed over for favor of a young idealist because he (the firstborn) married outside his race? I guess the Mississippi territory of Britannia hasn't changed a bit in the alternate timeline. :3 Or maybe he's just smart enough not to put a target on his own head. Or perhaps he believes in his little sister? Maybe we'll find out next season~

So while this is going on, a group of lesser nobles sees the dukes and princes/ses about to tear the nation asunder, and decides they aren't going to sit back and let this happen without any say of their own. It'd give China the perfect excuse to come busting up the party, after all. So they gather their servants and soldiers to fight the royal family while they are at their weakest, because they plan to.... change the inheritance laws favoring the elite? Or is this a bid for power? Or simply put a new family on the throne? Our motives aren't very clear, other than wanting to oust an inexperienced leader who is most likely going to be used as a puppet ruler.

Meanwhile, the lower class has been under an oppressive, invasive government that denies them even the right to name their heritage, to say nothing of how badly they are mistreated. With a civil war looming over the horizon, they've been smuggling weapons in to give themselves a fighting chance against tyranny.

Among the nobles looking to oust the royal family is one Britannian who took a knight from a conquered district, elevating them to a status that was unheard of for numbers up until Prince Whatshisface got himself disinherited by engaging in racial impurity. Joining them is one of the knights of the round table (potentially a detail that might have certain people wetting themselves with terror, because The Round Table has its hand in high treason), and a close-quarters specialist who is notably unconcerned with the prospects of promotion, glory, or raises; has little experience with basic chores like cooking and cleaning, and otherwise doesn't hide her upbringing as well as she thinks she does.

And somebody is going to have mind control powers at some point? Or is thread mostly about the mechs and politics?

I'll put it down in ordered list form:

  1. Richard Von Britannia died of natural causes of his old age. His reign was marked with great conquest but also with mixed results. Citizens were worked hard, and very few made an actual voice in the court. The main one is Long who was a rags to riches man who made his career in automotives, and then knightmare Frame construction. The first over Kyle Britannia is not inheriting because the majority of the nobles, and royals are worried he may not pass off a legitimate heir to the kingdom and furthermore it may not even be a full britannian. A moment of weakness allowed politics to work him over. So he decided to name the young idealist Harmonia for reasons only he knows.
  2. China won't be too heavily invovled early on they still need to work out if its safe to invade Long is the only one who doesn't want a united Britannia in the traditional sense, and he's an anarcho Liberal. They have no dog to back, and every still has their eyes on them, and the Euros. The west coast of Britannia wants to revolt during this time because power grab for some, maintaining a proper britannia for others, and some just want a better Emperor. The shared main objective is a stronger Britannia without the royal family helming it. How it is eventually folded up will be decided in the roleplay be it a council, or some other sort of oligarchy. In other words no royal family just the nobles gaining control to prevent things such as Kyle's misfortune to possibly allow other nations to take control of Britannia through politics.
  3. The Syndies are not so much lower class from nations deprived of their heritage, they are mostly Britannian but their misfortune has driven them to anger as they are mad that no one wants to think about them up top. Used as canon fodder, forced to attack other lands in the name of imperialism, and harsh work hours for the poor have led them to rally for change seeing as Harmonia is weak they want to force a better life for themselves through these riots. Most of who we see are relatively wealthy but the poverty line is harsh. A brutish police killing of a protest group will launch their full scale uprising similar to the princess massacre. Long is a scheming, and conniving businessman who wants better for the people he grew up living like so that's why he becomes that face.
  4. The vast majority of the noble faction are Britannian, and most of them are likely pure blooded Britannian. The character i intend to play specifically works more on merit, and is cold when it comes to other things. He is no reformist he wants a strong power base because he is an ex-soldier sees the need for a Britannia helmed by people, or a person who is not easily manipulated. His knight is more or less emotionally dependent on him. She was raised in a very bad home that she barely remembers, lived on the post-war streets without much to look forward too, and she was barely saved by my noble who only did it because it was on a whim, and he distastes wanton cruelty. He took her in because of that, and while she is not yet a full Britannian its only because she only has a mind to be a servant, and has made a name for herself only through her ability to pilot knightmares which she can do well enough to earn her a nickname. She's similar to Suzaku only in that she is a skilled pilot other than that she's a mute, shy girl who becomes a violent blood knight that moment that her lord orders her to do something.
  5. Britannia will be the main focus of the roleplay. The Geass Cult may come into play later. That is unless the players want it more involved in the main plot most of this will be focused on the struggles between Britannian factions, and the war. Loyalty, and where it belongs.
