[BCOLOR=transparent]Introduction to the world: In a Universe far far away...[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Bondyrill is an old world, home to a multitude of races and wonder. It was wrought from darkness in ages long past by benevolent Gods for their creations to flourish under their watchful eyes.
And flourish they did for many a year spreading over the worlds continents, Ancient, Elder and young each to their place.
While minor strife has been a constant among them since the beginning, now however the young races have found themselves in an encompassing war, a conflict that threatens to throw Bondyrill into chaos.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Plot: [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]A party of people narrowly escapes death in the conflict on the lower lands. Through events they are drawn into the politics of the conflict to find out the true reason for the war. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Races: [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The Races of Bondyrill all appeared in one of three different time periods, and are often called by their era. Ancient, elder and young.
The ancient ones are the Elves, Fae and Faeries. Powerful beings connected to the ether that live for centuries focusing on guarding the world that the gods have granted them.
The elder races are the Orcs and Dwarfs more connected to the physical land they hold incredible strength and cunning. Squabbling with each other constantly these races do their best to follow the ideals of the ancients.
And then there are the young ones. A mess pool of races scattered around in the lower lands. Uncunning, brash, ignorant and short lived. Barely tolerated by the older ones from the high lands. Dominant among the young races are the humans and the freefolk, the first conformative and the second a gathering of various demi-humans and beastmen.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Culture:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Medieval, enriched by magic and the ingenuity of the races.[/BCOLOR]

Map:

[BCOLOR=transparent]Locations:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent](Will be added as the story goes along.)
Seamster town: A formerly peaceful town on the southern outskirts of the Mello forest. Now however it has been brutally included in the conflict between humans and freefolk. Just hours prior to the groups chance meeting the town was attacked by a raiding force of unknown origin and everyone was slaughtered.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Cities: [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Yahwahe, capital of the human Ecclisiarchy, its shining streets only dwarfed by the splendor of its spires piercing the sky.
Dowahades, resting beneath the highest of mountains, some say the dwarfes dug too deep, and none remembers the pathways in the hearth of the stone.
Shivanu, a mythical city located deep within the elves forest reaches, its view one of serenity and awe.
Ch’aska, A fortress city resting on the open plains prefered by the orks...
Malsumis, With the free spirits of the Fae there has never been an interest in having abodes and thus there is only one place that could truly be called their city. Resting whitin a large ancient forest there is a place briming with life and energy, an otherworldly sanctuary where the Fae converge.
Rothem, Twerhem and Flohem are the three biggest cities in the freefolk trade conglomerate. Each of them representative of its people.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Magic, Because Deus ex Machina:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Magic surrounds us, permeates us, allows us to interact with the fundamental forces of the world. Those few gifted that give their whole lives in the uncovering of its secrets revered as witches and wizards. Knowledgable about past, present and future they stand outside the restraints of society.
The surreal energies themselves allowing the guidence of practioners to make true their intentions, but only as far as their mind holds fast and their soul true.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Lower tinkerers in the arts restrained by the fickle nature of the powers they channel.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]---[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Introducing the awesome GMs:[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Silvir
The friendly voice of reason:
[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]While this neko might seem innocent and cuddly, within is a mind that will make you hate your past ideas for the unreasonable ramifications they believed were there.
Silvir is the one you talk to when you are in need of a simple view of what is missing and what should be altered to fit the setting.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Windstormugly[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]The stern observer:
Has a good way with words but most likely hides an insult among them, while writing out his plans and ideas into action. This thing is rather easily distracted by things.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Holds the overall best oversight of the story and is the one to look at for ideas and fun for the story. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Rules:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Apart from site-wide regulations there are a few things we would prefer you aim to adhere to.[/BCOLOR]

  1. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]The GMs have the last say in any situation. Do not push this.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]
  2. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]No unreasonable characters. This encompass those that do not fit the setting, any mary-sue, obvious fandom-characters and those with a Rambo-mentality. [/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]
  3. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]Read the posts of other RPers, especially IC.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]
  4. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]If anyone posts something belonging OOC IC, there will be one warning. If anyone double-post IC, there will be no warning.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]
  5. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]Adhere to the setting of the story IC, it is not harder than reading the OOC or asking the GMs. Note that this means we will be reading every post, and critizize them if need be.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]
  6. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]If you are unable to post due to IRL reasons, or if anyone calls on your attention, give a hoot that you are still alive.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]
  7. [BCOLOR=transparent][BCOLOR=transparent]“Do Shit. Get Shit” If your character does something IC, it will have cause a reaction IC. Your character is not a special case.[/BCOLOR][/BCOLOR]

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Appearance:

[BCOLOR=transparent]Race: (Available races to play as consist of Humans, various demi-humans regarded as Freefolk, and possible halfbloods with the some of the other races. Those being, Fae, Elves, Dwarfs and Orcs.)

Race attribute: (races have different attributes that gives them an edge in different situations some see in the dark others have an amazing sense of smell.

Skills: (3 skills for combat and 3 for other things of your choice, unless you know your way around some magic, in which case you aren’t as versatile.)
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Magic: Magic is not easy and comes at a price and to balance things out we set a scale of 1 to 4. 1-2 and you are allowed 2 skills for combat above. 3-4 and you will only be allowed one skill not above intermediate this because magic takes time and effort to learn that you could put into martial arts. There is of course above this but then you get no combat skills as you have dedicated your self entirely to magic. So accordingly
1: you have shown to have an affinity to use magic and can light the camp fire and some other basic stuff without killing your self or harming others.
2: you can use magic to slightly boost your skills and people are not as wary of you using it.
3: you can now defend your self and even use a bit of offence if that is something you have learned.
4: you have dedicated much time and can without to much effort improve your way of life both in combat and otherwise as the lazy mage you are.
[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Personality: ( no mary sues i will force feed you cookies till you choke on them and bleed cookie dough trough your eyes =^-^=" )

Here's the revamp of the character I just posted. It is the same more or less just different since I recreated the character today. :)

Name: Fiona R. Ceres-Madeira
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Fiona was born with a special eye color from her Ceres-Madeira, Family Heritage; these are bluish golden eye color. She has beautiful blonde hair, it is long, vibrant, and it goes past her lower back; she usually braids it by hand and does not allow anyone else to touch her hair. She is slightly above average in height for the female humans at a 5 foot and 7 inches, and she has a bust size of 34C. The reason for this bust size is mostly for the Ceres-Madeira Family rapid growth in that area, for primarily the women that is. She wears undergarments underneath her cloth/wool trousers and a short-sleeved wool shirt, underneath her chainmail armor she usually wears for drills. The chainmail armor is a handy me down from her father since he was a foot soldier for a long running Militia force that usually protects their village, he altered the chainmail armor to fit his daughter.

Race: Human
Race Attribute: Inventive

Weapon:
1. The Specter of the Light - It is a multi-uniformed Bo-staff with a mace attachment on the end of it. This specter is a family heirloom, which is passed down from mother to daughter all the time, which means it is now Fiona's turn to wield this weapon. However, it is made out of materials she cannot see in terms of Red Wood with iron for the Mace attachment. This weapon is usually on Fiona's Back, attached to her pack on her back.
2. Light Throwing Knives - She has about a set of 12 throwing knives, which are light but sturdy enough not to break into two; however, these knives chip easily and have to be constantly 'sharpened.' She got these from her father, since she did not like the long bow, which usual longbow men use.

Item(s) of Note:
1. The Necklace of Ceres-Madeira - This necklace is a family heirloom and was given to Fiona on her 8th birthday by her father, since it has the pictures of her mother, father and her in it. It is similar to a pendant. It is made out of pure silver and gold. She wears this ever since she got it on her 8th birthday underneath her chainmail armor with some protection from arrows.
2. Green Pouch of Coins - She carries about 50 silver pieces, and 60 copper pieces on her, underneath her chainmail armor. She got this from the Order of the Cloud, female mercenary band that gave her a mission to find her biological mother Daniela L. Ceres-Madeira.
3. Blue Pouch of Magical Components - She carries magical powder in this pouch, it is right next to her Green Pouch. It carries magical dust of crushed up ingredients for her spell, she uses. She carries the magical dust in Large Vials.
4. Pack - She has a pack for miscellaneous items and usually foodstuff, which are dry. She carries a mission contract in it, which she got from a human band of female mercenaries, named the Order of the Cloud. She signed it but did not read it in full details but they allowed her some money, which they gave her a green pouch of coins.

Skills:
Combat Skills:
1. Throwing - She learned how to properly throw her throwing knives, by her father teaching her how to in the morning hours, making her try to hit bottles of ale, which were emptied.
2. Stance of Light - The Stance of Light is a unique stance, which she learned from a book her mother made of it. It allows her to blind enemies with her Sphere of Light and bonk them over the head with her Bo-staff/Mace and it is pretty good at spinning around with her hands too.

Other Skills:
1. Cooking - She learned how to cook at a young age since she was into making food for her father. She likes cooking with any naturally made ingredient.
2. Gardening - She uses this skill to learn about plants and other things, which are edible to eat or can be added into a cooking recipe. She has a green thumb since she was allowed to make a garden in the back of her house.

Magic:
Rank One Spell:
1. Fiona's Light Sphere - She learned this spell by her father since he was tired of her being scared of the darkness since she has a extreme fear of the darkness. This spell requires magical dust; she crushed up to be sprinkled on her Bo-staff/mace and it makes a sphere of light, which hovers over the Bo-staff/mace, two inches above it. She has to say "Sphere of Light, cleanse this darkness so I can see correctly." This means the Light Sphere will appear over the Bo-staff/mace and start brightening up the area around her to make it less dark.

Personality: Fiona at a young age had mixed bag of a personality, mostly for the lack of a motherly figure in her life, so she is shy around everyone expect for her father. Fiona is kind to every single person in her small little village, even though they are not kind to her in most cases since they usually call her a freak with her bluish golden eyes. Fiona is very charitable to the less fortunate, even though, she is usually one of these less fortunate people most of the time; she has many misgivings in her time of living in her village. Fiona has a case of red color blindness not seen in ages; however, this does not stop her from having a great life.

Fiona gets depressed easily, mostly because of her overprotective father since he does not want to lose her as well. Even though he knows eventually, he needs to let her journey outside of her village and see the horrors of what is going on out there. Fiona is extremely afraid of the dark or really called Nyctophobia; she gets panic attacks, shortness of breath and trembling in complete darkness. Fiona does get heartbroken once in awhile to remind her she feels slightly different from most other girls her age, since she has feelings for girls her age. She has not told her father about these hidden thoughts within her and she is somewhat afraid of what he will do to make sure, she acts proper, since right now she is a lesbian, straight through and she knows she cannot change her decided path.

Fiona feels happy when she does things around the house, alike cook and clean for her father and her since she is more or less in that role now. Fiona has a reading problem since her father did not teach her how to read, really well, only cooking recipes and books about them are the only things she read well.

Biography: Fiona was born in a village, 45 miles away from Yahwahe, the Capital of the Human Ecclesiarchy. The village's name is called Aged Wood, which is in a middle of the open plains of the human lands. Fiona was only two years old, when her mother disappeared from Aged Wood and left her child and husband to fend for themselves. Her father told her of what happened on her 2nd year old birthday and it was a terrible day for her, since he told her on her 8th birthday, when he gave her the family necklace, which has her mother, father, and her in it. He became an overprotective father right after that and disallowed her to go outside the house at night since his daughter was terribly afraid of the darkness, anyway.

Aged Wood had an Order walk through it, looking for work since they were more or less broke, it was called the Order of the Cloud, a full female mercenary band, and the leader was a beautiful woman by the name of Samantha J. Rayner. Samantha J. Rayner was looking for someone in particular but walked up to the home of the Ceres-Madeira family and was happy for the first time in her life; this was on Fiona's sixteen birthday, when this order walked into the village of Aged Wood. The Order of the Cloud's leader talked with Sinclair and his daughter about certain things, which are happening beyond their quaint little village and it is getting worse before it is getting better. Fiona was kinda flustered with Samantha and finally gave her father an indication that she was a lesbian and he was all right with this. Samantha laughed at this, but put down a contract for 'Fiona' to find someone important and all she said was 'Daniela.'

Fiona was slightly shocked that an Order wants her to find her mother, even though she has no idea where she would be in this large world. However, her father gave her permission to find out the truth of why her mother left them, and venture out on her own with the skills she taught her, and finally gave her the daggers, and she finally learned to use them properly. She signed this contract without even reading it and she accepted Samantha's Green pouch, which had enough coins for a trip to find her mother. She walked into her room after she accepted the pouch; she put on her father's chainmail armor, put her mother's Specter of the Light on her pack, and put on her pack on her back, she had enough food to reach another village or town but not enough to reach the Capital. She was slightly happy that her father did not freak out, that she was a lesbian. She put her throwing knives in her pack since she can use those to cut up meat too, if she gets to use them, and she is happily wearing her pendant around her neck.

It is more inline with the rules of this RP, now. I edited it and made it better or in this case shorter and made my character 'human.' Just because.

Name: Eruruu
Age: 22
Gender: Female

Appearance:
eruruu2.jpg

[BCOLOR=transparent]Race: Demi human there is no specific name this race calls it self. They simply refer to each other as people and humans. Often uninterested in the physical differences between individuals as there is a great variety among them. But there is a large cultural difference between them and the Humans. They are less cultivated towards industry then the humans and live closer to nature content with simple livelihood rather then personal gain and greed. With few known individuals among their ranks they are known as a fairly peaceful but capable race. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Race attribute: Improved physical abilites. The people Eruruu hail from are not that different from normal humans but tend to excel in stamina, agility and sharper senses such as smell, hearing and night vision. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Skills: Herbalist, alchemist, cooking[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]This girl is very close to nature and has begun to get a good grasp on it's possibilities allowing her to utilize it for medicine and cooking and possibly something more. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Magic: 4 and above - Eruruu is fully dedicated to her studies in magic specialising in charms, healing and protective spells. While she is in no way near a master, her skills are still enough to warrant her proper respect as a magical user. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Personality: While bravery isn't a strong part of her personality. The girl is noticeably stubborn and does well to stand on her own when in familiar territory. Mostly a calm and humble person that thinks about the people around her. Eruruu has an aura that can make people stand back knowing that she is capable of putting whatever anger or annoyance idling in her mind into action if necessary even if she might never do it. [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Bio: This child has lived a rather sheltered life for as long as she can remember. Content living out her days in the mountain village tending to the locals and studying under the mages that lived nearby. Rarely did she leave this place unless to attend to rituals, get medicine or simply help an acquaintance. As such most of what she knows about the world is what she has read creating a bubble of innocence in her gathered experience. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Having become a master apprentice of course she is now moving up in the world as all mages reaching a certain level does getting more knowledge and fame regardless of their interest in either. As the world is awed by mages but also wary of them. [/BCOLOR]

(WIP)

Name: Delacroix Archidor

Age: 25

Gender: Male

Appearance:
11af74eebe8565a3bfa32ae62dbe3421.jpg

Race: Human/Fae (Half-blood)

Race attribute: Being half of the Fae blood coursing through his veins, Delacroix possesses magic, albeit an ever-fluctuating magic that is beyond his control. Instead of relying on the unstable magic within him, he instead relies on his human side, the skills and adaptability of a human.

Weapon: The weapons seen in the images, Of them, only the bow and sword have names. The sword is Darkeen, and the bow Bellavene

Skills: Swordsmanship, Hunting (Both as a offensive and passive skill), and Woodsman

Magic: 1 (Because of his lack, and outright rejection of training or use of his inherited magic, what magic he has from his Fae blood is unstable and unable to be controlled. To keep it from harming others, as well as himself, a magic seal restrains it.)

Personality:

Bio:

Ok, @Holy R. Enigma if you manage to play Fiona as the character you have portrayed I see no overbearing issue with her ^^

@The Jest as you know we are waiting for the personality and bio, otherwise it seems nice.

@Silvir what are you doing not introducing yourself as my co GM ?

o-o being stalky from the shadows

but okay im a co-gm i move through the shadows like an agile cat on a shelf. lots of things going crash and boom with evil intent :3

Hi, are the GMs accepting characters from people other than those listed in the first post in this thread?

Of course @Redgrave just make an awesome character and join thé fun ^^

Great, thanks. Is this character ok to use?

Name: Davor Morokar
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance:
BloodM.jpg

[BCOLOR=transparent]Race: Halfblood (Human/Orc)[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Race attribute: Darkvision, Orc Rage (Increase to strength and stamina for a period of time, but exhausts the user once the rage ends)[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Skills:[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent] Combat Skills: Greataxe Proficiency, Throwing Axe Proficincy[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]Noncombat Skills: Scavenging, Armorsmithing[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Magic: 2 on the magic scale. His combat buffing magic is used by shouting battle cries.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Personality: Brash and guaranteed to be near the front line of any conflict he's involved in. Davor constantly pushes himself to be better and considers every scar he accumulates to be a point of pride. His allies are guaranteed a loyal man that can and will stick to the bitter end of whatever struggle, and his enemies guaranteed someone that won't stop being a thorn in their side. Some people are unsure of whether he's trying to "prove his strength" to everyone, or to himself.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Bio: Davor's family line has a long history of being involved in combat. His father's side of his family has spent many generations being in the front lines of the squabbles against the Dwarves, and considered it a point of pride. It was during a battle near some human settlements that Davor's father met his human mother, who took the injured orc in when the Orc forces retreated and were taken in by an Orc tolerant settlement. During his stay he was taken care of by a human female, and eventually fell in love with her. The unlikely union between the two eventually caused Davor to be born. When his father brought him and his mother back to his home, he was poorly received since he was considered little than a mutt. Though some of his peers would warm up to him, many of the other children teased him for his perceived weakness of having human blood. Despite this the half-orc still had an interest in following in his father's footsteps as a warrior, hoping to still find acceptance in the culture he was brought to. His father was more than happy to keep a long tradition going, and over the years taught him many of the abilities and tactics he would frequently use as an adult. It wasn't until he was a bit older until his father began teaching him how to harness his family's magic talent: the ability to combine magic with the morale-boosting tactic of using battle cries in the thick of combat.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]When he became an adult he tried to volunteer to join the Orcs' military like his father before him, but they showed little interest in him. As someone who was part human, he wasn't likely to be as strong or as durable as an Orc. Some of the leaders laughed at the thought, but one of them issued a challenge to Davor: Prove he was worthy of being considered of orc heritage and he would be accepted. If not, he would never be allowed to join. Whether the commander meant to mock Davor or just to challenge him to be better, Davor did not his reception well. As he left, he decided that not only he would prove he was worthy in the eyes of other Orcs, but that he would everything in his power to surpass them in ability. He has spent the last several years as a mercenary in order to keep his fighting skills sharp and to try to build a name for himself.[/BCOLOR]

@Redgrave Davor is ready for the story ^^

Now we just need about double the amount of people and we can begin ^^

O_o maybe we should consider a banner......they still do banners right??
Or is that still being worked on?

Not a clue, but I agree that we need a way to attract some more players, otherwise we'll never start.

Yeah sadly the entirety of Iwaku seems to be semi hibernating 0.o

If that's the case then it's always semi-hibernating lol. So, why do we need so many players to start anyway? I'm kinda curious.

Probably at least one more or two, just to take a guess. Even though all the people who was interested into this role play hasn't posted yet...

If that's the case then it's always semi-hibernating lol. So, why do we need so many players to start anyway? I'm kinda curious.
Well at first we where in the interest check about 10 people in total with Wind and me. So we kind of got used to the thought with about that many people.
That and Wind likes to have a medium sized group when Rping <-<
But lets see what Windstorm says perhaps he is fine with this amount O_O

One or two more people would be nice, but it is a shame a lot of the people on the interest check haven't replied. Given this site I would consider having 3-5 people to begin with a runaway success. I've noticed it seems like it takes a while for Roleplays to pick up and get steam around here. I dunno, maybe I'm just concerned about nothing

That's probably why I stick with creating profiles and other such things... I haven't really started a RP mostly joined them on this site... lol

Well I hope now we can start soon. Maybe you guy can help promote by having it in your signature while you in other rps just a suggestion. I'll have Character Sheet up later on today.
