• In the world of Predania, the people only knew war. War resolved everything. The land became scarred, the population dwindled, it became dreary over the fight for power and land. Countries fought for dominance. Even if there was no clear winner in these awful battles, there was always a loser; nature. Even though everyone saw what they were causing, no one stopped it.
  
  Finally, many of the kings took into consideration that these wars were killing their own home. They sought to end them. In order to do so, they signed a temporary treaty, forbidding these kings from declaring war on the others. However, a treaty was not enough to bring peace. The kings planned a way to bring about everlasting peace within the houses. In order to solidify relations, they offered their oldest child for marriage. A council of the kings was called, where they decided on which children would be wed. The children of their own children would then be given to another royal family, and so on and so forth, a never ending cycle of peace through the world.
  
  The king who bore no children and had stayed neutral would host the princes and princesses in his own castle. Many trusted this king, as their nation had been neutral since wars began. Their fights were not his. His military prowess kept all unwanted intruders out of his country. He was a man that all the kings could place their trust in. Only time would tell if relations could be mended or if everything would fall apart.

The only thing I ask, is that not all of the kings are abusive or mean, and on the flipside that not all of them are super nice and kind. Get some variation.

  • I want this to be a moderately fast paced RP, so please post once every 2-3 days.
  • I won't be strict on posting amount, but at least a minimum of 4 lines per character. I'll understand less if you have writer's block and let me know that's the issue.
  • Characters can have history with other characters, just let the other person know you want that, and work it out with them.
  • Please have decent grammar.
  • Put 'If you please, your Highness' in a bright color at the bottom of your first character sheet if you read the rules.
  • I allow cursing, so long as it's not your character's gimmick or something.
  • This is not Libertine, therefore if your characters are gonna do the sexytimes, fade to black. If you're in the same age category, feel free to take it to PMs, I can't stop you.
  • No godmode, power playing, mary/gary sues, etc.
  • NPCs exist in the form of guards and the help around the keep. The neutral king and queen is my NPC. You can interact with these people.

  Basic History: Bellmere has always remained neutral, and will fight those who try to include them in a war. No wars have ever been fought by Bellmere, only battles. They have the most fertile land. This is where the princes and Princesses will be hosted.

  Basic History: Possibly the oldest kingdom, Lysoria is the birthplace of Voienism. They use alchemy, which is an advanced type of herbalism, to honor him. It is not uncommon to see even lower classes to have gold jewelry.

  Basic History: A place even farther north is Orinthal. Very small pockets of people live here. A sled and dogs are the easiest way to get around. Expert archers and those who make the bows and arrows are found here.

  Old Enemy: Treolei, because they are the most common folk to try and "purge" the kingdom of criminals.

  Old Enemy: Kerrigen, they fight over control of the area. Most of the time, Fulor also enters the fray.

  Basic History: Kings of the sea, Cruecia has the most powerful navy in the world. Where they have strength on sea, they are also formidable opponents on land. Rumored to be originally settled by pirates, Cruecia is a bit lawless.

Brita is petite but sturdy. She has been trained in weapons and smithing since she was a small child, so she is well muscled. Her figure is rather straight, with only modest curves. She has a square face with a strong jaw and stubborn chin. Her mouth is wide and firm, but her lips are more thin than pouty. Her nose is straight and a little wide for her face, and her eyes are set wide apart and under heavy, dark brows. Her skin is clear and very pale, but when she is angry or frustrated her cheeks flush noticeably.

Common Clothing:
Prefers to wear trousers and tunic for freedom of movement, with leg wrappings, boots, and furs for warmth. Clothing is usually wool, and her favorite colors are blue and maroon. Jewelry being a status symbol in Fulor, she is typically heavily laden with collars, necklaces, armbands, bracelets, rings, and headdress (usually all silver). Her belt is also usually studded with precious metals and gems.

Personality:
Born and bred to the warmongering Kingdom of Fulor, Brita is naturally suspicious, untrusting, and impatient. She has a very short temper, and when it flares up it is more likely to express itself with physical violence than with words. Physical feats were more emphasized in her learning than mental ones, so her understanding, while quick, is not deep. She prefers actions to words, and despises those who make their living only on their wiles and clever speeches. Although she has limited knowledge of history or religion, she is pretty good at reading people, and has an innate understanding of human nature (though, of course, a very pessimistic one). She does not have deep affections for anyone except her twin, but she is very loyal to her country and has a strong sense of duty to her people. Although she despises the inter-marriage agreement as a weak submission and sell-out of her nation's natural dominance, she will carry it out (if grudgingly) to the end, because she sees it as her duty to her country.

Physical Strengths:
Very good with sword, fairly skilled with axe. She is light-footed and has quick reflexes and a surprising amount of strength for her size (though naturally not enough to match up with most larger men). In particular, she has an exceptionally strong grip in both hands. Used to the cold and snow of the mountains, she can last a long time in freezing environments.

Mental Strengths:
Understands different kinds of people and their motivations, generally able to read intentions of people. Her brain works quickly, even if she does not always understand everything.

Physical Weaknesses:
Short, so has limited reach and cannot wield weapons too large for her size. Unskilled in bow or knives. Very uncomfortable in warm climates, just wilts in heat, often developing migraines and getting completely out of breath. She is near-sighted, hence she prefers close combat.

Mental Weaknesses:
Not very learned, does not usually understand big words or complex language, and often gets frustrated with people who try to speak to her in complicated language. Not good at strategic thinking or long-term planning. She is often paranoid and finds it extremely difficult to trust anyone besides her twin.

He very much believes that strength is power, and demonstrates this in all his decisions and interactions. He is generally quite misogynistic and believes woman only exist to make babies and display the status of men, but he makes an exception to this with his daughter. Of the twins, she was the strong one, the fighter, so he treated her as if she had been the son. To the extent he is capable of feeling affection, he loves his daughter, and shows it by teaching her to follow in his footsteps.

Died giving birth to the twins, so they never knew her. She was soft and gentle and generally overrun by her dictatorial husband. Gamall never valued her, and rarely speaks of her to his children.

Short Physical Description:
A little short for a man, and somewhat thin and sinewy. Has developed some muscles from enforced physical training, but being svelte rather than sturdy he appears quite weak compared to most Fuloran men. Like his sister, he has a very straight figure. He has a square face and jaw, but a weak, narrow chin. His nose is just like his twin's – perfectly straight and small on his face. Dark brown eyes are somewhat shaded by low brows, but they are not as thick as his twin's. His hands and feet are small for a man's. He can't grow more than a little fluff on his face yet, so he is usually clean-shaven or with only a hint of a shadow.

Wears traditional wool tunics and trousers, but likes his much more form-fitting than most men. Usually wears a lot of blacks, greys, and dark browns. Doesn't like jewelry as much as other Fulorans, usually just wears one necklace and a couple rings.

Personality:
Torkal is moody and introspective, only really opening up toward his twin. He has strong emotions, which his culture and his family has taught him are "un-manly", so he has long suppressed them. He enjoys reading, and is often daydreaming about living in another world where he can be himself. He has never been fond of the fighting arts, but also hates standing up to his father, and therefore has kept his own preferences and desires largely to himself. His father thinks him weak and feminine, and even his twin often doesn't understand him. He is not weak or shy, in reality, but no one in his family would accept his calm rationality as an explanation for his unacceptable choices in life, so he wearily obeys his father's arbitrary commands. Much more well-read than his father, he sees many areas of his rule that are lacking, and looks forward to the day when he can improve these. Though he hasn't even told his sister this, he is secretly excited about the arranged marriage pact, as he hoped it would offer him an escape from a world where he was perpetually misunderstood.

Physical Strengths:
Quick reflexes, some upper arm strength, very good at controlling his breathing. Trained with sword, axe, and bow, best with bow.

Mental Strengths:
Deep thinker, philosophical, sees hidden interweaving connections between events and people and nations, very well-read

Physical Weaknesses:
One leg is shorter than the other, causing him to limp slightly and have difficulty standing still for long, and also making him rather clumsy in close combat. Not great overall strength, and never likes to go on the attack. Not great with axe, and rubbish with sword.

Personality
Despite being a princess who has been heavily praised her entire life, Rosaline believes strongly in remaining as modest as possible. She can be quite naive, often refusing to see the bad side of people she likes or otherwise simply just maintaining her wrong opinion -- this also makes her quite close-minded. Rosaline is very kind; she often travels to the poorer parts of her kingdom to help the less fortunate there. Rosaline is very respectful of her parents and people in a higher position of authority than her, as well as basically everyone else. Rosaline is very dependent of her staff because she never learned how to do things for herself.
Physical Strengths
Rosaline's physical beauty could be considered an asset. She also has very strong hearing and is rather immune to hot weather, having grown up in the desert.
Mental Strengths
Rosaline is tactful when it comes to other people's emotions, which makes her a rather pleasant person to talk to. She is intellectual and loves to read, which also makes her a great writer.

History
The Princess of Quvania has a lot of perks to its role, but unlike some of her predecessors, Rosaline never abused those privileges. As she has always been a humble person, Rosaline realised at a young age that she was blessed to have been born into nobility as she was. At the same time, Rosaline always felt a little guilty that she was living such a good, opulent life while other good people wasted away on the streets.

At around the age of twelve, Rosaline began to take her staff out to these decrepit neighborhoods. People were often quite surprised when they saw the Princess of Quvania in the slums, handing out food and water to the street rats, but no amount of talk could throw Rosaline off her path. She was determined to provide some sunshine into the poor people's lives.

Corina is a feisty and spirited girl who follows the beat of her own drum. She is well known for being stubborn and willfully strong on what she wants for both herself and that of her kingdom. In many ways she already acts more like a Queen than a Princess in many a people's eyes. To her one must be a leader and truly willing to place themselves on the line in both battle and duties of the kingdom. She is a kind who places the needs of others before that of her own to see happiness and joy lit among the Citizens. Corina can often be headstrong and independent on what she wants and lives her life on the edge taking any danger thrown her way with little to no hesitation. She is gentle but more so in a hidden sense.. It is a side often found bestowed upon the children and animals scattered in and out of the kingdom. She was deemed the gentle one not only by her husband but by the people. They witnessed her charity day after day bless the lands and their hearts filled with happiness at the sight.

Prince Cedric Grey ~ Her older brother is unlike any known prince. He willingly and happily passed on his place as crowned heir to Corina so that she would become Queen in exchange for a life to be one of the finest Commanders in the Silver Dragon Legion of their kingdom. He wanted to be free to roam the lands and defend his people in all cases. He knew Corina would make for a brilliant Queen and would always remain at her side no matter the case. He is extremely open minded , bold , brave , strong and caring.

Princess Adrianna Isolde Talvarie ~ One of the youngest of the Royal Bloodline at only the mere of 14 is already seen as a threat to that of Corina. Nai, took up that of a work of a scribe to learn the ways of merchant work and the archaeological studies of her region. So she is a bit of a know it all, or so she thinks. She though truly has more street knowledge then anything. She is confident when it comes to talking to the more devious criminals, and can normally discover their plans without them even know. She is a bit of a silver tonged. She is bold and strong and normally speaks what's on her mind.

When he came forth with his name, and told who he really was, Nash father had pity on him, and gave him a standing in the royal guard. He was trained privately by the Kings own trainer, and given lessons on how to control his clumsiness. Alo was assigned to the Princess Nashwa, and they fell in love.
