An image of corpses piled messily into the room beyond made Yolanda step back. She had a bad feeling about that room and thought it closed for a reason.

"I'm not sure if we should go in there." She murmured, stepping forward to place a hand on Marcus' arm as he pulled at the door.

Marcus tried to peek under the door but quickly stood back up and started stepping away ,
" Gosh... That's where the smell is coming from .. I think i'm gonna puke ..."
He took a few deep breaths .
" You're right.. Let's not go in there ! "

Yolanda nodded vigorously and continued down the corridor, wearily, cautiously. She was beginning to regret ever coming here and mentally berated herself for thinking it to be a good idea.

She reached out and dragged her hand along the wall as she walked, feeling plaster and then the cold metal of the doors under her fingertips. She was silent, barely registering her surroundings or the sensation on her hand when a loud scream rang out, distant but sti impossibly loud.

Yolanda whipped her head around to Marcus, eyes widening. "Did you hear that?" She demanded in a harsh whisper.

" Hear what ? " Marcus asked silently , listening for what Yolanda could have heard .
" What did it sound like ? "
Marcus was feeling pretty weird . He didn't hear anything other than Yolanda's footsteps . The fact that the asylum seemed to be just an empty ruin didn't help a lot either. He was starting to feel as if the whole trip was just a waste of time and that Yolanda might be lying about the sound just to spice up the atmosphere ,or maybe she just misheard .

Yolanda was silent for a few moments before shaking her head. "Nothing. It doesn't matter." She thought herself likely to just be hearing things, blaming it on fear.

She looked back at her friend and gestured for him to follow her. "Come on. No good taking all night to explore just one area."

" Right... " Marcus followed her slowly . There wasn't anything interesting along the way. Finally they reach this corridor intersection . Marcus takes a quick look around wondering which way to go . However he soon notices something that gets him wondering . A light was coming from around a corner and it wasn't natural light . It looked as if it came from a light bulb which made no sense since they probably cut the power to this place soon after it was shut down . Marcus gave Yolanda a tap on the shoulder and pointed towards the weird light .

Yolanda followed Marcus' line of sight and focused on the strange light. There was no way that the place still had electricity, not after all this time. She glanced to her friend, looking hesitant.

A scream. Another scream made her nearly jump out of her skin. Yolanda grabbed onto Marcus' arm tightly. "There's no way you didn't hear it that time!"

It sounded much closer than the first time and more anguished, not like a scream of pain but a scream of loss and sadness.

Marcus was extremely terrified , to the point where he could hardly even breathe . He takes a few minutes to recover before pulling the small video camera out and pointing it to himself .
" We finally found one... We heard screams , and there's this strange light . See for yourself ! " Marcus said before pointing the camera towards the light. "
However he surely didn't expect this ..
" It's not... It's not showing ..." . He mumbles turning to Yolanda and whispering " Get over here "
" Look.. the light .. It's not showing on the camera ! "

Yolanda jogged over to Marcus' side and peered at the camera, her eyes growing wider as she registered what she saw. "Oh my God," She murmured. "We have to go have a better look."

It was the opposite of what she truly wanted to say. Yolanda wanted to run, run out of this horrible place and forget all about it. But a part of her needed to approach the light, to understand it.

Marcus was really slowly walking towards the light . When he got to the corner he stopped . He was afraid to turn and look . In his mind he was already regretting ever coming to this place.
" You're the excited one ! " He said looking at Yolanda
" Go look ! "

Yolanda glared at her friend as she grabbed onto his arm. "You're coming with me. Don't be a baby." She scowled. Truthfully, she was terrified. But she was quite skilled in at covering it up with aggression, something she often did.

They headed towards the light, which seemed to dim, as if it were frightened of their approach. They finally stood before the light, which seemed to take the shape of a young child.

A third scream was heard . And this time it was loud enough to be heard from the city . It was a woman's voice saying something about her baby . And then the light baby in front of them vanished , leaving a few sparkles of light behind . By this point Marcus felt as if he was going insane himself .
" I can't take this ..." He mumbled slowly then sat down with his back to the wall , burying his face in his hands . He wasn't crying but he had a massive headache . It felt as if his brain was literally going to explode .

Yolanda walked hurriedly over to Marcus and knelt down in front of him, placing a tentative hand on his arm. What they had just seen was both disturbing and unbelievable but she, for some reason, didn't feel particularly scared anymore.

"Are you okay? Can you hear me?" She asked in a gentle voice, like a doctor to a patient.

" Why are we still here ? We... found our ghost... Let's just go " He said quietly . Suddenly an image popped into his mind . It was the door they came in through . It was closed and covered in bloody chains . He was trying to get the image out of his mind but couldn't . It just kept coming back . He stood up quickly and started walking down the hallway .
" We need to keep going !" He said and waved Yolanda over .

Yolanda sighed and stood up, irritated by her friend's erratic behavior. She followed after him, confused as to where he was leading them. She hoped he didn't intend to lead them out of the asylum; she wasn't done with the place. Something told her that she needed to stay, that there was more to be seen.
