Atlantis The Lost City <--------- make a cool logo for it

Over 11,000 years ago there existed an island nation located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean populated by a noble and powerful race. The people of this land possessed great wealth thanks to the natural resources found throughout their island. The island was a center for trade and commerce. The rulers of this land held sway over the people and land of their own island and well into Europe and Africa. This was the island of Atlantis. Atlantis was the domain of Poseidon, god of the sea. When Poseidon fell in love with a mortal woman, Cleito, he created a dwelling at the top of a hill near the middle of the island and surrounded the dwelling with rings of water and land to protect her. Cleito gave birth to five sets of twin boys who became the first rulers of Atlantis. The island was divided among the brothers with the eldest, Atlas, first King of Atlantis, being given control over the central hill and surrounding areas. At the top of the central hill, a temple was built to honor Poseidon which housed a giant gold statue of Poseidon riding a chariot pulled by winged horses. It was here that the rulers of Atlantis would come to discuss laws, pass judgments, and pay tribute to Poseidon.. To facilitate travel and trade, a water canal was cut through of the rings of land and water running south for 5.5 miles (~9 km) to the sea. The city of Atlantis sat just outside the outer ring of water and spread across the plain covering a circle of 11 miles (1.7 km). This was a densely populated area where the majority of the population lived. Beyond the city lay a fertile plain 330 miles (530 km) long and 110 miles (190 km) wide surrounded by another canal used to collect water from the rivers and streams of the mountains. The climate was such that two harvests were possible each year. One in the winter fed by the rains and one in the summer fed by irrigation from the canal. Surrounding the plain to the north were mountains which soared to the skies. Villages, lakes, rivers, and meadows dotted the mountains. Besides the harvests, the island provided all kinds of herbs, fruits, and nuts. An abundance of animals, including elephants, roamed the island. For generations the Atlanteans lived simple, virtuous lives. But slowly they began to change. Greed and power began to corrupt them. When Zeus saw the immorality of the Atlanteans he gathered the other gods to determine a suitable punishment. Soon, in one violent surge it was gone. The island of Atlantis, its people, and its memory were swallowed by the sea.


The memories of Atlantis was forgotten and the city had become lost to those that still believed


Centuries had past since the incident of the fallen empire. A woman named Belladona had funded 6 million dollars into a quest to find the fallen empire. Many called her crazy, some called her a madman lost in the imagination of a fairy tail, but Belladona, Belladona thought otherwise. Taking along 6 other men, Belladona set sail with the intentions of diving into the farthest depths of the ocean. The journey was long and tiresome, but Belladona finally was able to find where the entrance of the city was supposed to be. Dressing up in scuba gear , Belladona and the 6 others began their dive. What Belladona failed to calculate was that the human body couldn't stand the crushing pressure as they went deeper below. Unable to make it to the bottom, Belladona faded into nothing as her body was slowly being crushed by the pressure. Lost in the depths of her mind, Belladona soon awoke in a room dressed with blue laced curtains, dolphin statues, balls of water that floated around the windows and more oddly a bubble around her head. Afraid yet amazed, the young Belladona rose from her to bed to see a dark skinned man with a fin as long as pearl harbor. Unable to speak, the man had bowed his head and uttered the three magic words.

"Welcome To Atlantis."

Much like any other mythical city, finding it is just like finding a needle in a hay stack. Coated with a powerful spell the lost empire was meant to never be found at least not by mortals. From the outside it loos as if the stories were true. Swallowed by the sea, the city appears as if its in ruins. Stairs on both sides are cracked, columns fallen and eroded , buildings fallen and covered in moss. Statues broken and scattered about the caved in pathway. Past all the broken buildings, fallen memories, shattered statues are stairs that lead up to a Poseidon statue holding a trident. This is the only statue that isn't broken, and it shines with an elegant blue hue. Their lies a riddle that that someone must solve. It is a simple riddle that anyone can solve, but the twist is that the riddle is under a spell as well. For those with magical abilities they can break the spell on the riddle to reveal a key. The party who wishes to enter will take the key and hand it to the the guardian Semtim. The guardian will judge you based off of your history, in order to make sure no evil disrupts the peace of Atlantis. If you were judged as evil then your body will be encased in a water prison forever, if you were judged as good then you will be allowed entry. Many do not travel to Atlantis for this reason.

Because Atlantis is a large city and one can easily get lost on the road there, A guide named Tauriel will lead you. You will be taken through the cavern named "Walk of the Mortals." This is the only part in Atlantis that has no water. It is also under a spell to where the company would have to move under their true form. This is to make sure the Guardian didn't make any mistakes during Judgement. Only certain creatures are allowed Access in Atlantis, so those who take on the appearance of a snakes, vampires, dragons, and any underworld creatures like warlocks, orcs and goblins are not allowed. Each race that was listed that can not enter have been banned from the city due to certain past events that has caused misfortune to the great city.

The guide leads you to a mirror and bows giving you entry to the great city. Those that have been accepted will walk through the mirror and enter a bright hall with tows of columns. The tile beneath are made of fine pearl and tan marble. The patterns on the path take on the appearance of seashells. Each Column holds a light with a pearl that emits a bright tan light. On both sides of the path is a river of water. Whatever creature you may be, the spell will wear off and you will be able to walk into any form you wish.

Last but not least the Lost City of Atlantis. If your unable to swim to the city a chariot will be awaiting you to take you there. If you can swim there, a guide will lead you to the front gates of the city just in case you don't get lost.
