Appearance
Standing at exactly five foot, Atsumi is a average height for his age. He keeps a strong demeanor to his appearance, preferring to show off his rock hard abs and wearing clothes that match what his ancestors wore.
Personality
Atsumi's most endearing and noticeable trait is his great confidence; both in himself as a person and as a Sarutobi. This makes him come across as big-headed, though this is not the case. Even when scared of someone, Atsumi's confidence is usually the one thing that overrides his fear. This confidence is evident in everyday situations, especially with women and those in high social standing; as Atsumi simply acts in his usual energetic manner.
This emotion is directly linked to his everyday persona, and indeed his battlefield performance. If suffering from extreme fits of anger, rage or frustration, Atsumi is described as a not too friendly person; who is argumentative and spiteful, hardly seeing reason or responding to helpful advice. When sad or depressed, his persona takes a drastic altercation and he becomes distant and develops feelings of inadequacy and uselessness to his allies; seemingly even overriding his usual confidence, though anger seems to prevail more strongly recently. This makes Atsumi a complex and difficult to understand youth, even for those who have known him since he was a baby.
Part of this drive to succeed and carve out his own legacy and fame stems from the large shadow that is his clan. He knows that the Sarutobi did great things and left their mark on Konoha, and he hopes to do the same. It has been stated by him the one thing he is afraid of is failing to successfully honor the efforts made by his family. This has resulted in a slight inferiority complex when he is constantly compared to his brother, as he feels his brother obtained his level of talent through laziness unlike the hard-work Atsumi puts in. The end result has been an unhealthy obsession with defeating his brother and anger at his own clan for their blatant disregard for his feelings.
Personal History
The daughter of Namikaze Ayano and Lee Tetsuya, Fukushu was destined to have many burdens upon her shoulders. Nearing the end of the war, a tragedy occurred shortly after Fukushu's inception—her father's death. So it was here that Fukushu's mother became unmarried, alone, and enraged by the villains who took the man she loved from her. Out of anger and hatred, she looked to the birth of her daughter as an opportunity and subsequently named the child after her internal emotions that she desired: revenge.
Fukushu was raised solely by her mother and had a childhood where a large shadow loomed over her as her mother threw out expectations of a design towards her daughter; a daughter who saw these expectations and meeting them as the only way to satisfy her mother and as a byproduct earn her affection. So it was here that Fukushu dedicated herself with every fiber of her being to meeting her mother's overbearing perfectionist demands. Whether it was a simple errand or a grueling challenge there would be no doubt in Fukushu's mind that she would obtain it until success; failure was never an option. A fact that Fukushu in time was entirely unrealistic upon meeting some of her peers; some of which excelling far above her. A fact that nearly shattered her worldview. But she carried on as she entered the Konohagakure Academy and dedicated herself, even at a young age, to the art of a shinobi. There was no room for other hobbies in her life; a sentiment that would have social consequences as some of her friends began to distance themselves from her.
Her time in the academy continued to bode poorly for her socially, though Fukushu tried to appear that it she cared not for such things. There was no room in her life for friends who couldn't understand her or see why her ambitions were just.

Uchiha Ria
Ria is Atsumi's best friend and has been his confidant for years. Her loud, and boisterous personality brings him joy as he has someone to be around that's wildly energetic. Together these two can indulge each other with goofy antics and even where he got his nickname of Red Hare. Atsumi can't describe it but Ria is the one light in his life that keeps him smiling. He'd do anything in his power for Ria.
