Just another reminder, we ought to mention our chars races perhaps to be clear :P

Also, so many females so far xP
Yeah it's nice to be honest a lot of times you'd find some guys in groups to still be in the mindset of male dominant group, if that makes sense.

Guys, instead of me having to deal with Periods, you can guys can put how many thousand years ago this was based on each races' first records, which are stated on the OOC's first post.

I'll be removing it from the Character Skeleton, but you guys already have a major idea of the eras so it's not be very hard.

Also just add

Race:

somewhere on your skellie, I would say under appearance.

Where are all the temples, if I may ask? I know the Jotun roam in between the lot of them, but the other races are more sedentary. Except of course for the more religious members of those races, who'll no doubt make pilgrimages to the twelve.

They're divided amongst the continents. That is written in the OOC.

Each continent has 4 temples in them, totaling 12 on the continents, and the 3 left of the Major Gods were taken by the oceans and as such are no longer accessible. Hence why some races are unaware of the existence of the other 3 Major Gods, since very few is known of them, as the other temples have gravures of them and perhaps their name and function, but that is all...

Name:
Heindrik Morrowind
Family Name:
Crowley
Nickname:
Kinslayer, The Mage Knight

Age:
26
Period:
1,5k years ago
Race:
Human

Historic Feats:
Triggered the longest war of all human history, and also the most dangerous. The Eternity War was the war fought by the most Orcs ever seen and the lack of structure combined with the Mage Rebellions all happening at the same time created the longest and most difficult war to the Humans, as they were massacred and nearly lost all of their territory.

Severely crippled the Church's activities for the following century, with half of the council killed and several core members abstaining from the cause due to fear of being assassinated.

Inspired and symbolized the Mage Rebellions, causing mages across the Empire and in multiple villages to rebel against the Church and the Empire. The result was nearly a century of constant rebellions and battles against Mages and the formation of both the Templar Order and the Mage Gallows, huge prisons created specifically to lock Mages and nulify their magical capabilities. Later on, the Gallows were transformed into Academies to teach Mages how to control their own abilities.

Assassinated the Church's headmaster, half of the Church's Council members and multiple nobles who enslaved Mages. Stopped the Church's Mage Army plan, which involved transforming Mages into "brainless" slaves for War purposes.
Death:
33

A stare went through the air. A stare that was most befitting of someone who had finally lost it all. It was few minutes after the initial invasion. Heindrik had been convinced by one of his allies that going to the Throne Room of the Church Headquarters would allow him to easily assassinate the Headmaster, but to his surprise, it was a lie.

He had been betrayed. Not just him, but everyone else. Everyone that stood with him, all of them... Gorbag as well. He was initially enraged by that, but now he hardly could care. He laid down staring, holding someone in his arms. He looked at her with the eyes that had been gifted to him. At least, he thought he was looking at her. He no longer could see anything. He could still feel her presence. Faint, so very faint that he hardly could tell if she was really there anymore. The Io around her was like a pool of darkness. He could tell that the Trumpeter was near to grasp her and take her away. If he paid enough attention, maybe he'd hear the song as well. The song of the dead. The tune that was played before someone's soul was taken. He firmly believed that what he was doing was right. He firmly believed that saving those Orcs he had, saving the Mages, saving the villagers... All of it would account to a revolution later on. Standing up against the Empire was all he did.

Right now, he wondered if it was worth it, however. The blades on his back were soaked in blood. He could tell that this was a difficult battle and not just because of it's emotional aspect. The very person he loved was standing on his arms right now... No longer among the living. She was no longer breathing. Her chest, her body was drenched in blood. He could feel it due to the wetness.

Everything was black.

"I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I only wanted to save you. When I escaped this very place, I thought I could've done something... Something to make my promise come true. I had promised you, remember? I had promised you I'd do something that would change the world. I like to think at least that promise I fulfilled..."

He wept. From his eyes, which could no longer see reality, tears formed and ran down his cheek. He no longer could hear the steps. He could hear breathing... The Io behind him was no longer the same. It held hostility... But also... A tinge of pity. He cried and wept... He didn't care about any of it no longer... He only wished to bring this person peace. Yet all he brought was pain and death to her... The only thing comforting him was the fact she was no longer suffering.

As he looked up, he made one last prayer. For the Trumpeter to be kind to her.

He tried to quickly turn his back, his eyes shooting towards them as he felt a stinging pain across his chest. He heard the loud sound of a stab and he understood... He understood he was going to die. The fire in his eyes, the symbol they held... It no longer mattered. They faded and they disappeared... Just as he did...

Weapon:
Masterful swordsman and also incredibly skilled in the use of daggers, be it either as throwing weapons or as secondary weapons to be wielded alongside swords.
Armor:
Leather cloth
Equipment:
During later years, he carried with him a staff that he used as a walking stick due to his incurring blindness. He also carried with him a bag that had all sorts of metal shards inside of it that he used to cast his spells.

Masterpiece:
Blades of Heresy
A set of Orcish swords crafted masterfully and wielded by an Orc Captain. Heindrik acquired them from an Orc Captain after he saved the Orc from an execution in a village to the Northeast of Knight's Home. The swords are tipped in poison and can ravage enemy defenses rather quickly due to the incisive form.

Abilities:
Incredibly, even before his return as a champion, nearly superhuman Io Control, having been taught to him a Jotun Messenger. His magical capabilities are beyond even what other races have accomplished, having been able to cast spells and recover much faster.

His Ocular magic, being gifted to him by his lineage which is connected to Empress Rhegan, was both a boon and a curse. It allowed him limited control of other people for the price of furthering his blindness for each use.

Aside from that, he is incredibly skilled in the art of sword play, having been tutored by a Vulcan Explorer, the same who freed him from the Church.
Inabilities:

God: Mor, the God of Death and Ends

"Mors, Obitus, Decessus..." - Prayer of the Church of Radiant Sun for funerals and warding off spirits.

Mor is the last entity one would see in their journey through life. It is said that this hooded, dark figure comes to meet all who die to guide them through the Odyssey River and have them listen to his Melody of Ends. Mor is depicted differently for each culture, however, with each one of them adopting a different view on the God that accepts all.

On Dakrai, Mor is often linked to the cold and to the constant snowstorms that plague the continent. His figure is often affiliated to a Dwarf's literary work called A Journey Through Temples, which is a collection of works revolving around the Dwarf's view of each God's appearance and ideals. The book attempts to sympathize with the reader by giving them the impression that they're taking a Journey through the Heavens, meeting every single God and speaking to them for a bit. Incredibly detailed, the book is said to be a marvel of literature, even by those from other continents. At the final chapter of the book, aptly named "Death Chapter", the protagonist meets Mor, who awaits at the end of a river, surrounded by his four daughters who sing their last song to you as you drown at the River of Souls.

The Elvish and Vulcans in Firas often associate Mor with a black figure who comes for the dead after they are buried. According to their own legends, Mor is often dressed fully in a black robe while wearing a hood and a mask with a very long nose. He is often seen with two utensils, both a shovel and a scythe. The shovel can pull a dead person's specter from the ground and their bodies and the scythe is used to "reap" the last energies from said body's soul. The Sajin on the other side, believe Mor is a entity that lives in the sea and, when the dead are offered to it, embraces them gently and guides them to afterlife. They also state that if someone was far too "corrupted" during their lives, Mor takes them to Methos, who judges them and then sentences them to suffer under Mor's eternal punishment or frees them of their curse and allows them to join afterlife.

In Corinthus, Mor is depicted as the Trumpeter. A figure who travels far and wide across the skies, wears purely white and is often associated with plagues and sickness. The humans specifically believe Mor's daughters, shown in the Temple of Hanakar, are the singers whose voice reaches to you when you die. As such they often say that when someone dies they are "hearing the sirens' songs".

Class:
Knight Enchanter(Dragon Age: Inquisition)
God Energy:
300/300

God Spells:

The End is Nigh:
- Active Spell -
Heindrik creates a globe where Death is absolute. He gains above super-human capabilities while inside this globe and all targets inside become Marked to Die.

Killing enemies that are Marked to Die grants Heindrik a percentage of his God Energy back. Managing to kill all enemies Marked to Die grants Heindrik a huge boost of Io, allowing his next Special Move to take massive proportions.

Expends 120 God Energy upon activation. Killing enemies can recover up to 100 God Energy, divided by the number of enemies hit.

Death: Eye of Control
- Passive Spell -
Upon being revived by Mor, Heindrik was granted the ability to reach even higher powers with his Ocular Magic.

The Eye of Control is an improved and enhanced version of it's predecessor, but with massive increased powers. Unlike it's predecessor, the Eye of Control is capable of controlling gravity, allowing it to make minor gravitational changes without any form of God Energy cost.

The ability still has the same curse, however, even if reduced. Heindrik can grow temporarily blind if he overuses this power. This ability also ties to other God Spells that Heindrik can use.

Requires at least 70 God Energy.

Singularity - Cracking Thunderdome
- Active Spell -

Briefly tapping onto the full power of the Eye of Control, Heindrik can create a small singularity ball that acts as a gravity producer for a short while. The ball will be created at any point in which the Eye of Control is looking or pointing at, but needs a general reference to be cast.

As soon as it appears, the ball will start soaring to the sky before activating it's gravitic properties, becoming a very small black hole that will suck anything below it, people, earth, rocks, trees, metal objects, absolutely anything may be sucked towards the ball. Once it is complete, it becomes a spherical asteroid-like structure, floating high above ground.

After this while, Heindrik will charge a lightning bolt and launch it into the air, using all of his Io. Soon after, a few seconds of delay later, the lighting bolt will come down upon the sphere, cracking it straight in the middle and causing the singularity in the middle to detonate. The explosion causes a massive shockwave as well as sets the flammable objects around it on fire. Anyone below that wasn't sucked into the sphere will soon be destroyed by the falling flaming rocks or other objects, followed by the detonation of any metallic object will detonate thanks to Heindrik's electric current.

This ability is extremely powerful, but comes at the expense of both Io, God Energy and Physical prices.

Expends 150 God Energy, half of the Io reserves and poisons' Heindrik's sights. Requires some time to be cast and concentration.
Io Affinity:
Lightning | Darkness | Ocular*

Lightning:
By electrifying Io around the target through attrition, the user can draw forth strong electrical currents and create powerful lightning strikes as well as electrify other objects. Lightning is mostly used as it's capable of stunning enemies briefly, paralyzing them in their place. Enemies who are stunned by lightning will often take damage over time as a result as well.

Heindrik was one of the few Lightning users of his time, as the element is difficult to control, even more difficult than other Magical Elements are. As such, he was gifted in the art of controlling not only the Io surrounding him, but even the Io surrounding enemies, which proved useful for creating the "Electric Minefield", a technique used even to date.

The Kinslayer had also learned how to make atoms become "volatile bombs", most specially metallic elements. This allows for him to create bombs from metal objects, which can explode and cause massive electric damage to surrounding enemies.

Darkness:
An element that he learned to control after returning to Knight's Home.

Heindrik devoted himself to Darkness upon learning of his sister's fate and the Church's plans, and the element is mostly focused on destructive power. It's capabilities allow for massive devastation at the price of the user himself being devoted the their own Darkness. Exquisitely, Darkness requires more acceptance than it's counterpart, Light, mainly as Darkness requires you to accept and understand your own darkness and dark side.

By this point, Heindrik saw the darkness around him and he accepted it as he knew there was only one way of cleansing this world: With darkness.

Darkness can be used for multiple purposes, but it's "Void" variety seems to be the most powerful. It allows the creation of objects based on darkness and increases the destructive capacity of other spells, including his own "Black Flames", which are darkness taking a flame-like appearance which slowly burns and snuffles enemies into complete Darkness. These attacks also allow him to turn completely invisible, thus granting him some slight roguish elements.

Ocular:
A rare, special magic type that few people posses. Although called a "magical affinity", Ocular Magic is a genetically passed down ability, possessed by very few rare individuals.

Some legends written by Jotuns explain that Ocular magic is a special type of genetic ability, one that was originally used by the Ascendants. This leads to the Jotuns believing that the users of Ocular Magic are blessed by the Ascendants with both a curse and a boon. The boon is their Ocular Abilities, which do not cost any Io, but instead have significant curse and price to them.

In most cases, using Ocular Magic repeatedly causes the user to slowly lose eyesight and become effectively blind as they use it.

In Heindrik's case, unlike the person he descended from, his are the Eyes of Command. His left eye grants him the ability to subtly control enemies' minds whereas the right eye grants him the ability to erase the immediate memory of a target. Heindrik had very little time to learn more about his Ocular Magic, but what he learned from it was valuable enough that he used it until he grew blind. One of the known times he used this ability was during the time when he fought against his sister, whom he had erased all of her memories ever since the lobotomy, resulting in the woman growing an amnesia-like state.

Heindrik was effectively blind by the end of his life and had no idea of how to recover his eyesight. During his last battle he grew able to "sense" enemies through the movement of Io around them.

The basic and passive abilities of Ocular Magic are that the eyes of the user change, he grows able to see and sense Io as well as some small prediction. In Rhegan's case, her prediction was the main power of her Eye whereas Heindrik's wasn't, but that doesn't mean either didn't get some abilities from the other.

Elemental Spells:

Spell Name: Magic Cutter
Affinity: Any
Scale: Small - Personal/Melee
AoE Type: N/A
Description:
The mage creates a large blade made out of any element that they can control. In Heindrik's case, the blade can be made out of Lightning, Darkness or both infused in a single weapon. The blade will bypass any form of physical protection, even those that are blessed by magic, but will be blocked by any form of magical barrier or other magical spells.

Spell Name: Lightning Shard
Affinity: Lightning
Scale: Medium - Room-level
AoE Type: Half-moon
Description:
Heindrik's signature spell. The mage throws a set of metallic shards towards an area and while they're still mid-air, electrifies them creating a large electric chain that immobilizes enemies that get too close. A couple seconds after, the shards explode shredding anyone caught in the blast except the caster.

Spell Name: Electricity Minefield
Affinity: Lightning
Scale: Large - House-level
AoE Type: Circle
Description:
Using either metallic shards already on the ground or filling the ground with them, the user then electrifies the ground, creating a minefield based on the metallic shards. Anyone who traverses through the shards quickly will trigger detonation, causing a massive domino effect that explodes the entire area into flames and shreds almost anything above it. This was another of Heindrik's signature spells.

Spell Name: Eye of Command - Erase
Affinity: Ocular
Scale: Small - Personal/Melee
AoE Type: N/A
Description:
Heindrik's Eye of Command allows him to erase all immediate memory of a target within melee range so long as he looks them directly in the eye. This ability is exempt of Io Costs, but constant use may cause the user to lose eyesight. In Heindrik's case, thanks to Mor's blessing, he may use the ability without long-term costs such as permanent eyesight loss, as the tissue regenerates far more quickly than that of a normal human.

EXPLANATION ABOUT SPELLS SYSTEM:

Spell Name:
Self-explanatory
Affinity:
The affinity used to cast the spell
Scale:
Goes from Small to Ultimate. Ultimates are currently locked since they're HUGE Spells with immense power.

Small - Usually melee or personal spells, single target spells also fall under this category if they follow previous orders.
Medium - Spells with some AoE or with massive single-target damage. Spells of multi-target or with single-target with at least some sort of AoE effect apply here.
Large - Spells with a large AoE or with very large multi-target range or with large AoE after-effects.

AoE Type:
The type of AoE your ability uses. As I showed above, just a short description, really. Either cone, circular, half-moon, line, etc. You get the gist of it.
Description:
A brief description of the spell.

Appearance:

Height:
5'10"
Weight:
145lbs - 65,7kg
Extra:
His eyes drastically change appearance depending on what Ocular Spell he is about to use.

Normally, they are bright red, but upon casting a spell, the pupils change.

Eye of Command:
fugaku_s_mangekyou___all_shapes_by_kriss80858-d9y94z2.png

The Eye of Command changes it's appearance based on use. The two pupils to the right are the last two levels that Heindrik can use, both involving mind-controlling capabilities, even if for short amounts of the time. The two after the first are both connected to his memory-erasing power, and usually appear when he uses such, the third being specifically more powerful and capable of erasing an entire person's memory if they stare for long enough. The first eye is the passive stage of the Eye of Command, allowing small prediction of people's attacks, though nowhere perfect.

Eye of Control:
photo.jpg

The Eye of Control is the last stage of Ocular Magic, achievable only by those who can live as Gods. Even to Heindrik, this power isn't fully accessible, as it retains it's connection to Mor. However, it is clear that it's origin is not from the Gods, but perhaps from another being that was close to them. The first occurrence is that the pupil's "blades" coming out of the main ball extend and connect to the middle and the ends of the pupil, resulting in a perfect connection. The pupil also becomes mildish gray, but they are still easily noticeable from the eye.

While casting God Spells, the eye's pupils may rotate slightly and it's connection to the edge of the pupils may extend or recede, showing how much control and power Heindrik can currently exert over it. Apparently, the more connected to the edge the blades are, the more powerful the spell will be.

Alright, I'll take suggestions on other general elements that fit well with Hope and Fear other than light and shadow

I want to say Fire, on the basis that it's a symbol of both, but that kind of ruins the duality dynamic.

I was thinking something like Soul and Blood, get like the flesh and the spirit sort of thing going on. But i'm not sure

Blood magic is an oft-appearing thing for vampires, particularly in RPG-like settings.

Perhaps go for Nature/Life/Plants And Crap vs Poison of the Walking Wasteland variety, or take a page out of Game Freak's book and go for Sun vs Moon?

Well, I can see shadow actually being a different thing than darkness. Darkness is really the absence of light. Shadow is more about snuffing out light... Which now that I think about it, from a thematic viewpoint Light and Shadow really works best for her. After swearing vengeance, her light is snuffed out, and shadows take over. I think it works better actually.

I'd agree. I can see why you'd want to change it, what with Light and Shadow becoming increasingly common, but Anastasia is fundamentally about being two sides of that coin.

Darkness is different, I'd say, since each person can use it their own way.

Heindrik, for example, will use it to acquire a flame-like appearance that burns enemies and doesn't snuffle out until the target is burned(yes, Amaterasu), but that isn't it's only use. =P

I'd say Darkness is more useful than Shadows because it has more uses... But it both counters and is countered by light in a sense.

I'd say Darkness is more active, while shadow is more passive. Like Darkness causes, Shadow deceives.

The shadow was mostly going to be a lot less powerful than her Light, which is why she would even consider switching back to her previous glory(aside from the character wanting to be again). When she uses it, it'll mostly be illusions or deception

Alright, I might actually be done already. I only gave my character a Passive and a Consuming Sustained God Spell, alongside some reasonably trash-tier Io affinity, on the basis that otherwise I'm pretty sure he'd be more than a little hax even by Champion standards.

I'm keeping the WIP marker on there until he's greenlit on the basis that he's kind of non-standard, so I'm almost definitely going to have to change something.

Apologies for my slow crawl on the powers section, hitting some difficulty there on the lo affinities and the god spells for Envy and jealousy.

If you need suggestions, maybe he can make copies of others' equipment or shapeshift or something?

Hm... I feel like energy sapping would be best to use for the Io Affinity in the form of Ice or something similar...

Alright. I read it all.

Gotta admit, it's good-looking. Not many things I can complain about or think is wrong, tbh. Just a few things I thought I should tell you...

I really need to know of what really happened. I understand you want to add a tone of "Legendary Tale" to the character and I actually love the feeling of it, the only big problem is I don't know what's true and what isn't. For example, there were no such a thing as "Angels" of a God or a "Great Beast" of a God. The Gods don't much as contact the world themselves, as a matter of fact, they never did contact anyone. The only person they may have contact would be the person in hold of the Dreams power, who'd likely have dreamed with Somnium. If anything, I'd say Somnium is the only one who'd contact the humans during their sleep.

At any rate, if you want to, you can PM me the real story about him, what really happened and what didn't and I'll judge it based on that. Other than that, there are only a few other errors, but nothing big. In fact, everyone committed it. Guys... All God Spells have cost. They cost God Energy.

Anyways, feel free to PM the real story when you're free or at least give me some explanations regarding what's true and what isn't in his Legend. Other than that, everything else is a pass. =P
