Hmmm...just a quick question before writing up a character sheet, how far into the animal spectrum could a parahuman be? Mine would still walk and talk like a human, but would have paws for feet, and fur. Would that be acceptable?

Full Name:
Donatello Ames

Preferred Name:
Donato L'uccisore

Occupation:
Mercenary/Bounty Hunter

Age: 37 -- Gender: Male -- Sexuality: Hetero -- Race: Human

Appearance:
Though few people that know him ever see his face, you could say he was rugged and not bad looking. He has short brown hair and brown eyes, a straight nose and strong chin. He's got a half-chelsea scar beginning from the left corner of his mouth, which luckily healed well so it is little more than a thin line. Years of training have hardened and scarred his body more than just physically, making him a force to be reckoned with.
Height: 5'10" (178cm) -- Weight: 184 lbs. (83.5kg)

Personality:
Mistrustful and untrustworthy, to put it in the simplest words. He faces the world with the single-minded intensity necessary to get what he wants, that not only being wealth but a certain amount of power and personal security, as well to satisfy his warped sense of justice. His allegiance is never freely given, but can almost always be bought for the right price, and once he's taken on a contract it's only a matter of time until he can deliver.

Backstory:
Donato was born into a well-bred family and lived a happy childhood. That is, until his father's gambling debt drove them into poverty, during which Donato's mother died of illness. The inability of his father to pay his debts prompted swift retribution from those he owed. Eventually he was faced with the choice of either being lynched or… He chose "or" and exchanged his son's life for his own. So it was at the tender age of 13 that young Donatello became the dog of the Underground, an infamous gang of thieves and violent criminals, where he was forced to steal and worse in order to pay off his father's debt.
However badly this turn in his life was, Donatello was far too clever for his own good. His natural athletic skill and quick wit soon caught the attention of a master assassin, one of the ring leaders, who insisted taking the boy on as an apprentice when he was 15. Five years of harsh training and grisly work shaped him into an incredibly efficient killer and he rose to prominence in the Underground as one of the most respected--and feared--members. They called him Donato L'uccisore "The Slayer".
The life was not for him. Each day he was reminded how much he owed the gang, and each day he grew more and more contemptuous of them. In a desperate move he murdered the father who sold him out, thinking that if he was dead the Underground would consider the debt paid and he could leave. Such was not the case. While his master seemed impressed by his mettle, he claimed the boy had his own debt to the Underground for his care and training. Dissatisfied with this, Donato began formulating an escape plan. On the eve of his 20th birthday he put a knife through his master's eye while he slept and fled.
With their two most powerful members gone, the Underground was significantly weakened. Eventually a new leader arose to power and put a price on Donato L'uccisore's head. Very few men were willing to pursue him, and the few that did never returned.
In order to make a living he became a mercenary and contract-killer with a personal vendetta against crime rings and corrupt politicians. If he met someone he didn't like, he'd find someone else willing to pay him to make that person go away. Over the years the reputation of "L'uccisore" reached new heights. He wouldn't take a job without knowing all the details surrounding it, and it wasn't just assassination. Donato was also skilled thief and as such he made an excellent spy. He earned most of his money selling secrets rather than slitting throats, though the prices of both were equally high.

Patron God:
He doesn't have one, but if you asked he would say Coiro

Magical Capability:
None, he believes magic is a cheap substitute for what one can do with one's own hands

Combat abilities:
Though he's spent time as a soldier to whomever would hire him in his younger years, Donato is most skilled when it comes to facing only a handful of opponents and can quickly disarm and/or dispatch his assailants. He is a proficient swordsman but prefers a stiletto or other long knife when in a fight where speed and agility are more effective than any amount of brute force. Though if possible he'd like to pick off attackers from a distance with his bow.
Weapons: Recurve bow, longsword, dagger, cinquedea, throwing knives, stiletto (x2), dirk, kukri, and a variety of smaller knives

Skills:
Other than close-combat, Donato is a master of stealth and disguise, none of his clients know his true face and often negotiate through a third party. When he does seek out clients in person, he has a silver tongue and is good at up-selling himself. Being a freelancer in the espionage business makes him very sought-after by people in power, either for information or to eliminate him for knowing too much, so he's very good at making himself disappear.
He's knowledgable of a wide array of poisons and certain medicinal drugs, torture methods, and other subtler persuasion techniques.
Athletic and acrobatic, walls and rooftops are as good as streets to him.
Clever and calculating, he looks at a problem from every angle and considers the implications of the outcome before ever making a decision, and his snap-judgement greatly helps him in times of crisis.

Other:
Donato is a friend to the poor and downtrodden with a network of beggars, urchins, slaves, and servants who feed him information in exchange for monetary favors or protection.
He considers himself as "the best in the business" and has the wealth to prove it. He has already saved up enough to live comfortably and plans to retire soon.
He has a safe house in an unknown location managed by his mistress, Emiyo, whom is also the mother of his child.
