Introduction

In ancient times, the gods of ignis (fire), lacus (water), aer (air), and terra (earth) created a planet made to form life. The first humans and animals were created by the gods. They did not know anything and talked in a language lost to time. They planet thrived for many years giving birth to a new life as the time went on and evolution took hold. Animals and plants evolved. Human learning new things and become a larger population. Soon breaking into small kingdoms. Yes, the world thrived as humans learned to write, read, and invent new things as they continued to live in a world of peace.

This was until the planet was under attack, they chose certain humans to give powers over the elements. The leaders of the army against dark outside forces was a man with fire power and a human wife. For years they fought against the unknown outside forces. They had five kids, a boy named Pace Celsius and their quadruplets, Ornetta, Rea, Aurea, and Mena Celsius. When one day his parents were needed for a serious battle against an unknown enemy he was asked to keep them safe, as well as himself. His parents didn't return from that battle.

Furious at the loss of their parents Ornetta, Rea, Aurea, and Mena combined their powers and, against their brother's wishes, fought in the war. After many years of fighting, they ended the war and brought the peace back to the world. Though there were many losses in the battle they were seen as heroes when they thought of themselves as killers. It wasn't until their brother told he was proud of them that they remembered the good they had brought to the world.

As they grew older Pace became his younger sister's caregiver. He soon discovered he retained his mother's human qualities while his sisters very quickly started to show their powers, one from each element of the gods. Pace trained the girls with their powers. After the sad day when their brother died many years later, they went out in search of a purpose. They found a village of families and kids like them. In memory of how their brother raised and helped them with their powers, they opened a school named Celsius Academy where they could pass his kindness down to the generations to come.

Plot

It's 2015 and the world magic world is plunged into war. Celsius Academy is in the center of it. The students of the Academy are still being trained but, now they must choose whether to stay on the path of good or step onto the path of darkness. Just remember when you go to the dark side it's very hard to switch back. The school has special barriers put in place to protect the school and its students, but war is on their doorsteps. A war that has been going on for a few years now. A cliche light versus dark war. One side wants to continue to follow the guidance of the gods and follow the path of light and serenity. The other side wishes to follow a dark path, wanting to have one true leader in their war, that leader being a man named Michael Landgrab.

Michael Landgrab is following the path of darkness and wishes for nothing but war and destruction. He's a cruel man who will do anything to win the war and become the ruler of the world. Though he does have spies in his ranks that he has no idea about. They relay information to their leaders and to Sylvia McMurry in hopes she will join them. Their attempt has been lost. Now Michael also has his own spies in the good sides ranks that also relay information to Sylvia and their leader. It's an endless war that will not end until a certain person joins them.

Sylvia McMurry, the current Headmistress of Celsius Academy, is the only known descendant of one of the founders of Celsius Academy. For years she has lived in secret taking care of her students, staff, and school. This was until one of her staff or students leaked information on her to the outside world. Letting both sides know of her origin that she had kept secret for many years. Now both sides have been trying to sway her to there side, but she still stands as a neutral party. Sylvia believed there was no need to fight and that everyone should just live in peace. As the Headmistress of the school, she has no need to be in the fight. No need to be on any side but her schools.

There's one problem though. She is the only thing keeping the barriers up. If she leaves school grounds the barriers disappear, and both sides will be able to enter school grounds. This would cause chaos through the school and world itself. Because of this, there are rules put in place at the school to keep the kids safe. Sylvia only wants there to be a safe place for all the students to live in peace as they learn to control their powers.

Story

This story begins a few years after the war started. New students and old students have arrived at the school for another year of learning to control their powers. Some are there for their last year and are contemplating which side to join while others are coming for their first year and while scared they are also excited for their first year of school. The Headmistress has a new speech to give the students who are leaving as well as the usual speech for the new students.

But unknown to them in Sylvia's office lay 2 letters. One from the good and one from the dark. Upon seeing the letters she will call a meeting with the teachers after orientation to discuss the letters in full detail. What is decided at this meeting will shape the story as it goes on. Some teachers may even start picking sides. All the while the students live in ignorant bliss as they meet their roommates and look over their new schedules.

Her hair is a medium length scruffy soft length with an ironically peachy complexion whether or not she has dabbled into changing the color of her hair or its a genetic accident is something that she won't reveal to anyone, she mostly wears her hair in pigtails to keep it from covering her face but most of the time leaves it quite unkempt until night time where she lets it down from the pigtails(which is a hassle in the mornings when she can't find anything and forgets her hair is covering her face).

:valentine:

Her eyes are a misty mixture of blue and green giving the vibe of a tropical beach sea and it grows brighter upon the level of power she is using with her water.
:valentine:

Her body is quite petite, with lack of any notable features, she can give off the aura of being weak. However, with how much she exercise she puts her body through on the regular she is quite strong, she just has a high metabolism and that is clear from how much she eats all the time. Sometimes she is able to dress like a boy without much confusion which is something she does on the regular. [4'11']
:valentine:

Her lips hold a peach/light rosy tone, glossed up by the constant moisture she puts in her system, and one of her favorite things to have is lip-gloss. She has sweet pale orange tints in her cheeks that darkens the complexion of the orange when she is nervous, angry, and experiencing a sensory overload. She has pale clear toned skin.
:valentine:

When she is not wearing her uniform, most of the time she prefers comfort over style.. So seeing her outside with an oversized sweater and boxers underneath wouldn't be a surprise. She sometimes will switch it up to pajama pants and tank tops, with her hair up in one half ponytail and the rest flowing down along with the flowing tail. But her most go to outfit is a huge hoodie she found in the overweight males section, jean shorts, sneakers, glasses, her hair in buns with ribbons, and her backpack(which she carries around with her at all times for no known reason)

:valentine:

She has freckles all over her body along with scars beneath the clothing she wears, its not that she tries to hide them but it just so happens to fit beneath most of her big clothing, along with eye bags.

Although Peachie seems like a sweet kind loving female, approaching her with overly warmth and a sudden hug anyone will find will lead to an instant hatred for the unfortunate soul and an even more instant reflex she can't control. She is quite cold in her ways, she's stays in the backline intentionally because she doesn't like to involve herself in with anyone. Less people to know her means less people who will have more information on her, pass her apathetic set face and her swift 'in and out' of school events lives a female who is always mentally recording the setting around her at all times which is another reason why she is so silent and people speaking to her she has to take in one at a time or she will get easily annoyed. She is always moving, being set at one place is almost never her style and she prefers being a 'rumored sighting' than spotted anywhere. She usually doesn't have any friends due to her 'too blunt' nature and 'too honest' words of vocabulary- some would even say she was downright depressing to be around. Not interacting with people took a hit on her communication skills which is awful to the point of where she needs more than a second to respond to most questions or conversations so she became even shyer and more reluctant to social interaction. Despite her flaws though, she is a natural born nurturer which is something she can't hide no matter how much she tries- harboring all of her affection and emotions deep inside most of the time, she needs something to spill on after too long of doing it. It's what keeps her sane along with helping people who don't know she's helping.

HISTORY
Peachie ended up with quite a bit of money due to her family running a lucrative illegal business, so she had the privilege of being wealthy.. And that's all she had when it came to the good side of her life in the Beri household, the rest was like a living nightmare. Peachie was the youngest child of a family of four, and the 'once' loving daughter of Mr.Beri and Mrs. Beri otherwise known as 'Rotten' and 'Spoiled'. She had the misfortune of being born around the time things started to go down hill for the operation Mr and Mrs. Beri were running in their home, they were creating and distributing illegal products to dirty people. There wasn't a real problem with the business itself besides the obvious but Mr. and Mrs. Beri's personal life was going terrible. Her mother was a gold digger and her father was a brute who paid well for his amazing trophy which was all she was to him, which he showed well with the way he treated her and the way she took it from him.. Her older brothers had the perk of being born while things were a lot better, them growing up and becoming high ranking thugs.. Peachie was the daughter to Mrs. Beri and the son of NOT Mr. Beri,so when word got out of the infidelity Mrs.Beri had been committing in the marriage- most of the anger wasn't taken out on her because he didn't want to bruise the trophy, it was taken all out on Peachie for being not of his blood. She was baratted, bullied and cast out plenty of times to live in the dog house when they needed to hide the 'accident' of a daughter. Because of the plenty times she was forced out of the house at young ages, she wandered into villages and encountered many animals that she had grown to love, helping out in the village she had lived in as the 'mysterious orphaned child' til she returned back home in dirty robes and clothing resulting in more bullying for soiling the expensive wear. She was soon starting to be given to her older brothers because of constant pay of clothes her parents were spending and the growing risk of her being discovered by the village people of who she belonged to. Her older brothers were much less stable than her parents, and she would be with them for much longer than she ever wanted- they were hurting Peachie, abusing her and introduced her to things kids her age should have never been around maturing her much faster- she had grown bruises and scars from the actions. Hating to go home, and LOATHING to go with her brothers- she learned to use a knife at an early age and protect herself the brutal way, needing to in order to try to defend herself against her brothers.. Her attitude getting worse along with her mental state.Even her clothing style and demeanor got worse as she got older. One day while she was at home at her parents, she snuck out to visit the village she hadn't had the time to visit over the years when she met an evil cleric named 'Dr.Scottian' and had somewhat become his apprentice for the next five years, he spoke of the dark sides and things alike which shed only listen because that's all she could do in that situation also he had peaked her young damaged mind. She started spending more and more time with the evil cleric when she had been caught one day going to see him by her oldest brother. The evil cleric and her oldest brother had verbal brawl, the cleric threatening him to the point of shivering body and tears.. It was strange to see someone with such strength shaking like it didn't exist, but he went off and left her alone.. Leaving Peachie in amazement of the intimidation the cleric put forth, linking her to him because of how impressed the little girl was. Dr. Scottian noticed her shift into observing him more than normal, he told her and taught her only a few of his dark ways, one of the major figures he brought up was Michael Landgrab and for the rest she grew an intense fascination as he spoke of the 'wonders' and 'brilliancy' of the legend. She had no expectation that she'd get the chance to meet him but Dr. Scottians words still ring in her head all the time 'If you want to see things happen, sometimes you gotta do it yourself' She hasn't spoken to him since after her departure to the Academy, but she did receive a reminder of his spiritual teachings through her gift he gave- Snow Quartz.

Love the character! One question, what room number is she in?

Extra: No piercings or tattoos, but he does have a strange bracelet of bone and leather that he refuses to take it off.

Persona.
Personality:

A good natured young man who enjoys the simple things in life. Like the leaves changing color, a freshly killed rabbit, babies being born, and just the socially usual day-to-day things of school. Most people find him quite strange. He himself finds everyone else equally strange. To him, people of this society move too fast, rushing by everything worthwhile in life. They're quick to fall in love, quick to fall out of it, quick find new love again. Why not take one's time on these things? Take it step by step. The solutions to problems don't need to be immediate, but nor should one give up in the face of adversity. Persevere with heart and courage and one will overcome most any obstacle. Take nothing for granted for everything is like fire. Blazing bright one moment, doused the next. Fleeting images that must be treasured, but not hoarded. His strange manner and lack of relative social skills make this senior hard to grasp, except for his closer friends.

History:

My grandmother always told me that it was my destiny to see fire. But no many times I ask't her, she'd never explain. Even after my power manifested itself, fire as natural as my grandmother suspected it ta be. See, I need help in understandin my life and purpose. Perhaps if I tell it again, you can help me make a little lick of sense of it.

I was born on a cold night. It's always cold where I live, but that night was particularly cold. Jack Frost wasn't just nipping at the nose, he'd grown fangs and was trying to bite off the whole thing and the entire head as well. That kind of night. It was so cold that, even though I was wrapped in warmest moose fur and held surrounded by my family and our next door neighbors who live three miles away, they was afraid that Jack Frost would indeed get my whole head and heart too. Then, in desperation or madness or some vision from on high, my mother hurled me into the fire. As my father shouted, my mother reeled in shock, and the neighbors screamed, my gran came tottering on up and said, "'ere look, he's cooing."

And so I was. Cooing happily in the flames in the yurt in the frozen far north where your neighbors are always three miles away and ne'er a step closer. So you see, don't you, that what my gran suspected was true. And she had been suspectin since I was inside my momma. She put her hand on my momma's belly and then snapped it back, as though burned. Laughin though. My gran has the greatest laugh that you ne'er heard. Big and booming. You wouldn' expect it from somebody her size.

So she snapped her hand back and said to my momma, "Elaine, you've been best blest. Your boy's gonna see fire, just like his Grandpapi."

Grandpapi was my grandpa, if you hadn't guessed. He passed the year afore I was born. As you can see, unless you can't an' someone is readin this to you, I survived my brush with Jack Frost, though his name's not that, but he had his revenge on another day. In a winter colder than that October I was born, where Jack Frost would each you whole, jus' after I started tottering around as much as my Gran, my parents went out into the blizzard to help our next-door neighbors who lived three miles way and ne'er came back. Jack frost ate them right up. Likely one swallow too.

It was my gran and my next-door neighbors who lived three miles away who raised me. Taught me most of the important things in life. Like how to move as soft as a fox, an' wrestle like a bear. How ta bring down a tree, an' how ta set a snare. But most important thing I learned wasn't taught. Instead, I learned it by lookin at the flames. See, my gran had often told me that I was destined to see fire. So I looked, but she told me that wasn't lookin so to speak. Still, I tried and, one day, I saw something in the flames.

I shouted out, "Grannan! Grannan! I see it, I see fire!"

Then she rushed somethin I ne'er seen afore in front of me saying, "draw it! Draw it, Firesight!"

So I did and my Grannan looked at it, sighed happily an' said, "no, my Coalheart. You ain't seen fire yet."

Course, I didn' understand what was wrong. Still don't. See, I saw my trap, an' it was filled with rabbit. So I thought that's what gran had meant. Apparently not. But when I went to check the trap later that day, it was full of rabbit. So I was right confused and when I asked my gran, she simply say, "yer on the righto path, Cindersoul, but you don't see fire yet."

My education changed that day. From then on, there was drawin charcoal and parchment for me to use inside the yurt all the time. Gran set them out, an' she encouraged me to bring them an' draw wherever I went. I figured that was about all there was to life till I figured out how ta see fire. Course, it wasn't that simple. When I came to enough age, Grannan got a letter. Course, I had learned how ta read. Didn't know how important it was at they time, so I was able ta read it. It invited me to Celsius Academy.

Gran was right pleased sayin, "Love, yer on the righto path. Get yer things packed. We're going south!"

An' that's how I got into the Celsius Academy. We walked the whole ways done, right and proper. Course, the father down, the stranger it got. It was like the woods forgot how ta be forests, and animals forgot that they were prey and predator to us. Strangest thing it was. Just as strange were all the people, many had next door neighbors less than three miles away. Somethin still feels off about that. People should live far enough away that they send notice if they're comin today. That way, you have plenty of time to prepare a good welcome meal for 'em. No time to be a proper host at all. Then there's how little people walk. Always drivin' an' rushin' an' flyin'. Don't make a deer's lick of sense why they don't just walk. Take their time in the going. Rushin' is for serious business, not headin' to some job.

People gave us the strangest looks when we showed up. A lot warmer it was too after a good month o' travel. Then the headmistress greeted us an' she was as nice a lady as ever there was. Pleasant and respectful in the right manner. We got along jus' fine in the years to come, cause I would be staying for years. Gran told me I wouldn't be going back for awhile. It took too long for us to hike down an' back. Made perfect sense to me and I said I'd be ready for all that I'd need to do. Then the headmistress, good heart that she is, offered to fly me back durin breaks. Gran an' I gave her bewildered looks.

"Why on earth would we need ta be doin' anything so quick as that?" we asked.

"My Cindersoul's old enough. He's a man now. He can live just fine without me for some years and I'll live fine without him," my Gran said as I nodded along, "'sides, I got next door neighbors who live three miles away. That's close enough for anyone."

The headmistress then laughed, an' a cleaner laugh you ne'er did hear, an' welcomed me to her academy. They hit the ground runnin' in that school. So much to learn, so much to do. So many things you people find important in your lives that I ne'er thought of before. Take yer English. See, I can read enough and write enough after I learned the basics. Don't know why I need ta know so much more. It was a right ol' struggle school was. Luckily, I asked for help, an' I got it. Lots from the teachers. Some from the students, though some weren't that friendly at all. But mostly from the flames. They showed me a lot of things while here. Things to help me understand, things that helped me make friends, an' other strange things besides. Socially, it's helped me get into baseball and set me up in the school's ol' newspaper.

See, I was going along one day when I saw a candle. An' in the fire of that candle, I saw a ball hurlin' through the air afore it hit some club. Then it rocketed the other way. Naturally, I set out to find the source of my image, after sketchin' it out. This was back in my first year, see. After a bit, I found it. Place where a whole bunch of students were lined up and taking swings at the speeding ball. I simply got in line and made my vision come true. Hammered that ball right out of the field. They got me to sign up that day, and I've had a solid run of it. Playin their third base and battin up a storm.

The other time it was a teacher who noticed my drawin's. She saw I took right attention to detail and wondered if I'd seen any photography. I hadn't and was dead amazed by it. Instant image, poof. Still love to draw, but I took right to it. 'Bout the quickest thing I'm willing to do, really. Then the newspaper saw my work, an' took me on. Been with 'em ever since. I usually work to make sure that people are still payin' attention to the little things in life. The things they all seem want to rush on by. Take for granted, is the sayin' I suppose.

Now there's that war goin' on. Arrived 'ere at our doorstep. Don't know much about what is light and what is dark. At least, not how they claim it to be. But I do know enough about what is to know that gettin' involved is something that nobody has any real business being in. What's the point in killin' so many people anyway? Best have your neighbors three miles apart. Keeps them from rubbing you the wrong way. Gives you plenty of time to prepare when they say they're coming. And it helps you appreciate them when they're there cause, when you live that far from each other, you need each other. Good ol' Headmistress is keepin' the war out. All right and proper she is. 'Spect she knows what it means to see fire, but she, like Grannan, won't tell me a thing. Don't suppose you know?

Persona.
Personality:

Unequivocally known as the "Dorm-Mother," Danae-Alisse is a calming, young woman who works to bring serenity and happiness wherever she goes. An emotional pillar that is both dependable and understanding, willing to listen to anyone's problems, be it their darkest fear or simply how that one teacher is assigning too much homework. She always seems to have the time, even if it means missing part of a class or an activity, she'll drop everything to care. That being said, her time is respected enough by the those that rely on her that she rarely misses class, sport, or club and she always works hard to make it up.

With regret, while all of this is quite true, there is a façade to her outward demeanor. Inside, she's breaking apart. Intense home problems along with all the expectations of the students and staff, along with the war now surrounding the school has put Danae-Alisse's emotional stability in a frightful state. Very near a full breakdown, all it will take is a single solid push to shatter her carefully crafted façade.

Other.
History:
Danae-Alisse thought her life was perfect. A loving set of parents, a small but happy home where she wandered happily through the lovely forest that surrounded their little town. Her parents worked in a simple convenience store, selling the bits and bobs to the various customers. They never had much, but what they had was enough. Just enough food to share, just enough money to give, more than enough love to pass around. All of this was amplified by her sense and desire for adventure. The forest made for her an excellent playground where Danae-Alisse enacted out her bedtime stories of the Celsius siblings of yore. Perhaps that contributed to the early manifestation of her power. She was only five. It was a brisk, autumn day and she was romping about the forest as she always did, when Danae-Alisse slipped, tumbled down a bank, and into the local river. Instead of floundering in the current she found that, instead, she was being cradled by the water. Kept safe from the current by a gentle, but firm, hand. It was a hand she would later recognize and had, unknowingly, recreated it. It was her mother's hand, one that had kept her safe from so many accidents and dangers through her short life. The hand safely deposited her onto the shore and, giddy, Danae-Alisse ran home to gush to her parents about what had happened, feeling it was a grand little adventure. To her short dismay, her parents did not believe her at first, despite the wet clothes. At least, they disbelieved her until she threw the copper tea pot against the wall by hurling the water inside it.

After the initial shock, and calming the tantrum throwing 5-year old, her parents went about trying to teach their daughter how to control it. It wasn't easy. Their town was small enough that there was no other person of the elements who lived there. Let alone one who had a similar power. Asking for one to come would be too expensive, so her parents made do with what they could. Which was to guide her using that power to help others. To understand what they were going through. To reach the core of their problems and, somehow, bring healing. In short, to be empathetic. The complication to this, was her raw power and the connection it had to her emotions, which only grew as time passed. A simple uncontrolled twinge could send a blast of water toward what she saw as the problem. And her tantrums, which once only did what twinges now were capable of, were rumored to bring rainstorms.

But, despite this, Danae-Alisse was progressing. Getting better and better at both her emotional control and water control. All the while, getting stronger, but kinder as well. The Celsius Academy was not blind to the talent budding in the outskirts of civilization and, when she had reached the proper age, sent her a letter. A letter that made her and, as the townspeople claimed, the river jump for joy.

And so, Danae-Alisse was off to Celsius Academy, starry eyed with wonder and the war came just behind her. She naturally went into healing as her first extracurricular, eager to bring healing to others as her parents had taught her to bring to others. Best of all, it involved her power, which she had grown quite fond of. Wore it as if it were a second glove. The wise students would note that the temperament of the water around her would match her emotion. It made her an easy freshman to read. Not that she minded. Eager to experience school life from her relatively sheltered own, she hurled herself into sports, both baseball and gymnastics were welcome additions to her education, although the latter was quite difficult having never really practiced her flexibility as a child. Her club came to her childhood pleasure of stories. Once told by her parents, she joined bookclub so that she could read her own. An eager member, she rapidly shot towards the top. The final, almost surprising, part of her class and club side of school life was her taking up archery. It was both something she enjoyed and helped her the greatest with her control. The focus and precision that archery demanded, helped her more than anything else, with control.

Outside the world of sports and academia that everyone who knew her noted was her unending care and kindness to others. A natural listener to anyone's problems, be it their darkest secret or that their cat scratched them last week and it still stung, Danae-Alisse worked to hear it all. She didn't try and pry. Heavens no. Instead, she watched, observed, and simply said to people, "hey, I'm here if you need someone to listen. Hey, I'm here if you need someone to talk to. Hey, I'm here if you just need some quiet support. Hey, I'm here if you just want to get a coffee, or some ice cream, or just a cup of tea." Always there to be a form of support and always offered. It didn't matter who it was, or their reputation, social standing, or even if they were just simple jerks who didn't deserve the time of day, she'd offer her support. And she never forced her support onto them.

Indeed, life was going quite well for Danae-Alisse. And then it shattered. In fact, it was already set to shatter from the moment the war began. She had noticed it over the shorter school breaks, before summer. Her parents had become somewhat distant. Each holiday had less cheer and she wondered that, on Christmas, if her parents had each gotten her a gift themselves, rather than working together to get the gift. But she put it in the back of her mind. Perhaps money was a bit tighter this year. Or perhaps a townsperson's grandparent had died and they didn't want to dampen her spirits. Or perhaps so many things. The truth came out in the summer. It was a sunny day when she found out how cold her house had become. At lunch, Danae-Alisse brought up the war. It was only in passing. Her expressing concern about the lives lost on both sides. But it struck the mark. The row began like a slow storm until building into a torrential downpour. Veiled shots back and forth that suggested the other side was at fault for the growing casualties. That wouldn't have been a problem, if her parents were only blaming one side. No, Danae-Alisse learned that day, as the veiled remarks became growing and angry words, rocketing towards raging, that her parents supported opposite sides to a war.

As the saying goes, "a house divided cannot stand," so too did the house of Thornbridge fall. Arguments became a daily occurrence, shouting more often, and all the time Danae-Alisse's parents tried to drag her to their side. That light was better, no that dark was better, no that… and on and on it went. Light or dark didn't make much difference to the then 15-year-old. She wanted her family back. And she tried. There were elaborately planned romantic dates to rekindle old bonds, various sessions where she tried to understand their differences and offer compromises and forge solutions. All of it for nothing, for nothing held up. At last, the inevitable happened one week before her sophomore year. Her parents divorced. Worse still, they began to fight for custody of her and both were trying any means to bring her to their side. When that final terrible week ended, Danae-Alisse fled back to school.

But it wasn't the same. Without her two pillars of support, Danae-Alisse found herself alone with their expectations, her teachers' expectations, her clubs' expectations, and all of the people who relied on her for support pressing down on her and she can't ever let people know otherwise they'll feel she's weak, or unreliable, and can't be trusted as an emotional support. So she has told no one of her problems. All the changes were subtle, except for one, but they were there. Danae-Alisse grew quieter and less social. She smiled less and grew more serious. Most people assumed it was the course load and her natural empathy for all the suffering the war had caused that lead to the change in her demeanor. In truth, Danae-Alisse grew mask like. Going through the days with a well-played mockery of her old self. But she still listened, and she still cared for others an any who came to her. The radical change, and perhaps the only one that truly indicated the tumult going on inside her, was Danae-Alisse dropping healing as an extracurricular class, and taking up Hand-to-Hand Combat. It was her parents' last agreed upon wish, and she followed through with gusto. Combat gave a true outlet to the raw energies that she wielded as well as her only outlet for her problems. Her comrades marked her violent style that flowed from offense to defense as easily as the tide due to her continued problems with control. In other words, her home problems went under most people's radar. It would be quite true to say that it allowed her to last the year, but only just. Each break that came around was given the same reason, the war had made it unsafe to travel home. She worked hard to stay on the school grounds, filled with dread for what awaited her and having to choose between going to her father or her mother.

So, the year and summer passed, and the 16-year-old had her junior year fast approaching having never gone home. Summer had been a relief of a break from the pressures of school and everything that came with it, but it was ending. With the war over pointless things like light or dark that tore her family apart now surrounding the school, old pressures returning, and new ones promised to be added, Danae-Allise feels like she's on a sandbar out at sea and the waves are eating out the ground from under her. She's only one bad moment away from suddenly drowning in the waters all around her.

Weakness:
Raw power, finds it very hard to learn new elements because he was never taught that much outside of crystal arts so he has to work harder than most to learn them. Not eatting in the classroom, he has a huge appetite and for some reason is almost always hungry.
Fears: Being the joke of the teachers because he's less experienced than many
Ambition: Teach students how to enjoy new ways of protecting themselves

"Do you remember when we met?"
"Of course."
"It was just after your parents died."
"I had buried myself in flowers."
"It was more that you rooted yourself with flowers!"
"And you were singing."
"And I was singing."
"I couldn't imagine how such a beautiful voice could exist on that day."
"And I never imagined meeting a man with flowers growing out of his face on any day!"

"Remind me why we started dating."
"We didn't; we skipped straight to marriage."
"Right...and remind me why that was again."
There's and audible sigh, before "because our friends finally convinced us we'd been dating for years."
"They finally convinced you, you mean."
"They finally convinced me."
"I'd known it for years."
"Yes dear. But I did propose."
"You did! And it was amazing!"
"It was spring."
"All the trees were in bloom!"
"I lead you into the forest."
"There wasn't a cloud in the sky."
"Into a glade."
"You had me cover my eyes!"
"Then I had you open them."
"You were blooming all the flowers around us! On the trees and the ground. A myriad of colors. As if fireworks were silently exploding across the heavens and earth with us standing upon a small island of green grass!"
"I kneeled down."
"I was still so taken with everything that I didn't even notice until you took my hand."
"And I gave you a ring."
"A ring! you make it sound like some bland twist of metal."
"Well, it is a ring."
"It's not just a ring! You cultivated it for months so that it could live without soil. A flower with a thornless, deep green stem to wrap around my finger. But the flower, oh the flower. Silver as starlight and it caught every ray of sun and moon."
"You said yes. Then dragged me out of the forest."
"I wanted that honeymoon."
"You were never the patient one."
"I waited five years! What else would you call it?"

"Do you think we..."
"Never."
"But maybe if..."
"It's not your fault. It's never been your fault."
"But perhaps if we..."
"We began the treatment only after it happened. The cancer caused it."
There is a silence before, softly, "do you regret any of it?"
"Karina, I would never regret it. Never regret trying. I'd do it all over again if it meant having another chance."
Softly still, but audible slight sobbing, "is he looking down at us? From above?"
"I know he is."

Both are accepted and will be added. Can't wait to see what they think of Sylvia once I re-edit her :)

@Lulunopia I know but in fairness and with all due respect what if people aren't really interested in any of those but do want a club? I already have one char that's in many so is it really that huge a deal to be more flexible?

Basic

Name - Anton Jubali Sheerloft
Age - 17
Birthday - February 12, 1998
Gender - Male
Sexuality - Demisexual
Power - Sand/Glass
Occupation - Student, Junior

School Information

Room Number - 5, Boys Dorm
Year - Junior
House - Aer
Electives - Sword Fighting and Hand-to-Hand Combat
Clubs - Book Club, Member
Sports - None

Appearance

Hair - Dark hair cut into a medium fade.
Eyes - His eyes are a sad and dark hue of chocolate.
Body - He stands at a height of 6'0" and weighing approximately 175 lbs. He has a fairly muscular build and carries himself with a carefree yet smooth gait.
Complexion - Dark skin tone
Dress - For his uniform, Anton tends to be quite loose. The top two buttons of his undershirt are always unbuttoned, with his silver tie loosened. His blazer is completely unbuttoned (unless a teacher catches him...then he's gotta button up, which is no fun). Underneath his khakis, his socks are either black or white; either way, they fade from attention whenever he dawns his precious sandals, which are black, old, and have duct tape holding the heels in place. He refuses to wear any other footwear unless the circumstances truly, seriously beckons for it. In casual clothing, he's usually sporting a simple white t-shirt and beige shorts or a long-sleeve sweater with a low-hanging v-neck and fitting blue jeans.

Extra - Anton is slathered in tattoos. A sleeve of floral designs decorate his right arm from shoulder to elbow, several personal quotes splayed across his pectorals, the phrase "reflect before you deflect" across his upper back, and a tribal sun on his left shoulder. From time to time, he proudly displays his ox-piercing alongside his ear studs, but understands that the tattoos can be off-putting on their own and tends to keep them off.

Persona

Personality - Anton believes in one thing and one thing only--to go with the flow and shine with your unique light in the process. He is eccentric, outspoken, and always itching to socialize with whoever has the patience to listen to his constant chatter. By no means is he a gossip or rumor spreader, but Anton always finds himself in that awkward position of being everyone's "Dirty Secret Closet". So it would always end up with him caught in the middle of two people's drama, watching them go back and forth helplessly like an intense tennis match. The only method he has for dismantling arguments is to scream out "Party Trick!" and start playing the Cup Song...The success rate is 50/50. Outside of his unfortunate magnetism for petty drama, Anton also has a series of ticks that result in some form of light skin mutilation. They can range from picking at his forearm until scratches appear on Monday to biting off the sensitive edges of his thumb on Friday. They're all unconscious and annoying habits that Anton does his best to hide.

Despite his bubbly personality, Anton hits his low moments every now and then. He'd rather jump into a tar pit than to place his emotional burdens onto others; thus in those times, he will excuse himself for a day or two and recuperate in isolation. Once he returns, he pretends as if he never disappeared to begin with and keeps it moving.

Likes - Making others laugh, body art, socializing, Diet Iced Peach/Green Tea, Sweet Tea, sweets, emotional bonding, earning other's trust, cats and dogs, forensic science and deduction (he'll binge Forensic Files like it's nobody's business)
Dislikes - Asparagus (it makes your pee smell weird...), heights, manipulating others/lying, drama taken a tad too far, frogs and lizards, hot weather, dark chocolate, stress
Hobbies - Hanging out with friends, watching Stand Up comedians, pretending that everyone is involved in some sort of conspiracy and narrating their criminal lifestyles in a horrid accent (don't ask him what nationality because he has no freaking idea), drawing little pictures on his skin with temporary marker
Strengths - Adaptable, a team player, innovative-thinker, agile and fast, good with clues and deduction
Weakness - Has a history of stress-induced seizures, gullible, grows attached to someone far too quickly, overly curious, passive to a fault, easily distracted
Fears - Abandonment, loneliness, never reaching self-actualization, seizing at the worst possible moment
Ambition - As much as this petrifies Anton, he has no real ambitions in life besides surviving the turmoil brought on by war. As long as he lives a happy life and watches his loved ones grow into the wonderful people they're destined to be, he can't fathom asking for anything more.

History

Anton's life was rather taxing.

The Sheerlofts had taken root along the eastern coast, jumping from city to city as the generations passed and their business evolved, which was the cultivating of clay minerals to create and sell ceramics. An artistic flare was tantamount to the Sheerloft name, on top of learning the ins and outs of how to find the clay they needed in abundance. No season, no stray storm forecast, no rising of the tides was ignored if one wished to pinpoint a bed of rich sediment on the Pacific coast. Children of the Sheerloft family are traditionally given the option of whether to enhance their eye for design or hone their intuition for clay hunting--there was never an alternative.

Thus, Anton believed himself to share an affinity for clay hunting, as he always loved the sensation of his bare feet sifting through the sand, as if he was gliding effortlessly on air. The tangy taste of sea salt in the hair, the crisp breeze dancing off the shore, the gorgeous blend of colors and hues as it stained the setting horizon--he loved all of it. However, Anton was disheartened and discouraged upon realizing his troubles with learning the ways of clay hunting. With each new beach his family explored, the more confused he became. A sudden change of scenery, a wrench thrown into the learning process. He found himself trapped in a perpetual loop of playing Catch Up. Finally, at the age of 9, he asked his parents to move him to the design department of their family business. The request was unexpected and his parents warned him that he'd be diving headfirst into advanced territory with absolutely no training in his arsenal. Anton understood these consequences and accepted them for what they were.

Unfortunately, this department proved to be far more frustrating than clay hunting. No matter how majestic his mind's eye envisioned a design, his hands couldn't breathe life to the image. His ceramic pieces were pathetic and sad in their design, the dips and glazes always a dull, ugly mess. The impatience had spread throughout his family, resulting in Anton falling to the bottom of the latter and lurking within his siblings' shadows. He was caught in limbo for a few months and often avoided work altogether to roam the beach on bare feet, hoping to distance himself from the awful stress and pressure. On one of those occasions, he had stumbled upon a cave a few miles away from home and deemed it his personal sanctuary. The inflow was tame and slow, which softened the sand into something pleasant and malleable. It was quiet, filled with a gentle ambiance of waters wading and distant seagulls flapping. However, when Anton grew curious and ventured deeper into the cave, the sand underneath him caved and he began to sink. The child was certain that he would suffocating in a prison of wet sand, over for solidified blocks to form at his hands and feet. He had quickly climbed his way out, eyes wide and shocked at the phenomenon.

He ran home and refused to tell a soul about the experience.

Anton spent the next handful of months secretly honing his elemental abilities on the beach, all while dealing with the stress of his family business. The combined workload proved to be negative for his health, as he had underwent a seizure in the middle of ceramic glazing and was rushed to medical aid. It was suggested that he must avoid the pressures of the Sheerloft business. In the end, Anton's condition was both a curse and blessing. No longer forced to craft ceramics, he devoted nearly all of his time to manipulating sand and exploring his skills, all while understanding how much stress his body could handle before the warning signs kicked in. He had unveiled his abilities to his family, whose reactions were a mixture of awe and indifference. Up until the age of 14, Anton had a firm grasp of sand manipulation, often inventing new and creative ways to apply his findings (such as helping his family find clay pits every once in a while), on top of dallying in the dimensions of glass.

Nonetheless, whatever plans he had afterwards were shattered when the war began.

Moving from city to city was no longer a safe option. Any customer interest in fine ceramics and porcelain were tossed into the back burner as fear and conflict blistered to staggering heights. The Sheerloft business, after generations of flourish, was squandered like an ant beneath the heel of a boot. Finances were initially stable, as the family had a hefty sum left in their savings from their lucrative profits, but it soon waned and left them in a desperate abyss. When Anton turned 16, one, and only thing good thing came out of this misery--it forced the Sheerlofts to view the world through fresh lenses and appreciate one another. Like a real family. Slowly, but ever so surely, Anton's family began to sympathize and care for him; it was because of this change that he finally felt secure enough to admit that he felt useless. As if he had no real purpose in life.

They all encouraged him to transfer to Celsius Academy. Anton still had no real goal in mind, but his family had hopes that this new chapter in his life would place him on the right path towards something meaningful. Of course, acceptance would be difficult and expensive to obtain, but the Sheerlofts had taken a huge chunk out of their remaining funds to help. Fortunately, Anton got into Celsius Academy, the lingering prestige of the Sheerloft name in the business world playing a huge role in it. As a parting gift and congratulations, Anton's father gave him his luck clay hunting sandals. His father rarely wore them unless he was in frantic need of finding a clay pit, which they had never failed to do for him in the past. However, with the business no longer active and Anton moving on the Celsius Academy, he believed the sandals were better off in Anton's possession. The teen had accepted them gratefully and promised to think of his family every time he wore them.

He arrived to Celsius Academy with a burning passion. A fresh start. A new look. A new him. A time to figure out what he truly wanted out of life. But, for now, he was--is--certain of one thing.

He and his loved ones will survive this war.

I made the clubs and sports the way they are so as to keep it at a small school scall. Usually, schools don't have many sports or clubs. While I understand where you're coming from I would still like you to change it.

I remember seeing this around before and it has caught my fancy. Though before I make a CS I want to ask if having a picture is a must? Because I really dislike looking for real life ones....
You don't have to have a picture if you can give a good description of what your character looks like :)

What about options for teachers groups and such surely that would help the school, and i'm not sure about most schools but ok

Then I shall start working on my CS asap! This has so much potential for a great RP, it has me really excited!

Though I do have a few questions about how things will be handled. For one, wouldn't it be easier if everyone was a part of the same class? If we are all from different years, won't that make everything harder since students of different years don't have the same lessons?
I imagine that is the reason why sports and clubs are limited, so that they would be full and characters would interact together more.
Also, I know we have to make a post each 5 days, but will there be some kind of order? To make sure no one is left behind or that two people don't start tossing messages back and worth?

Lastly, I had this idea for my character and I wanted to ask you if I can go with it.
Basically, my char would've went to a different school, but it got closed down after being damaged due to a war conflict that happened near by. Because of that, my char enrolled to Celsius. I thought of this up because I want my char to be new to the school and its system, but at the same time, not a first year. For an additional plot twist, they could also be forced to repeat a school year, because their last school wasn't up to par with Celsius, but for that, again, I would need your permission. owo

@Lulunopia
Do you still want teachers? I may be able to make one. If so, what teacher do you need the most right now?
