Head Mistress McMurry
January 20, 2015
Breakfast - 7:00 am

Location: Cafeteria
Mood: Worried, Annoyed
Mentions: Sirius, Ophelia (@Mysty)
Interactions: Everyone

So far the weeks have gone by smoothly. There were a few mishaps but, each one was taken care of quickly. Even with everything going smoothly McMurry couldn't get the sense of foreboding out of her head. She knew something was going to happen, she just didn't know what or when. It was quite annoying. She couldn't focus most the time. Not to mention she would zone out half the time just thinking about it. Only a few things could snap her out of her trances. Either Ophelia and/or Sirius doing something stupid or some one calling out her name. Most of the time it was the latter but, a few times it Sirius and Ophelia.

Those two will drive McMurry insane. No only do they not go to class but they constantly flirt with the other teachers. Ophelia has made a few mistakes and flirted with McMurry only to be sentenced to host school events. Sirius was just infuriating. He would leave his class in the middle of teaching to go bug Lucian, the sword fighting teacher, and he would encourage students to miss behave. It was bad enough she had Ophelia but, Sirius? McMurry had hoped he would be more responsible but, she was wrong. So very wrong.

Sighing McMurry looked around the large cafeteria bustling with students and teachers. Standing from her seat at the teachers table she cleared her throat before shouting, "Can I have everyone's attention?"

Waiting a few minuted for student to quiet down she continued, "I have a few announcements to make. Tomorrow Mr. Kain and Ms. Warren will be hosting talent show try-outs. Any of you interested will report to the auditorium at two. The talent show will be next month on the first, have your acts ready by then. Now as stated previously, if I find any student wandering the halls instead of being in class will get detention. You are here to learn not goof off. That is all, enjoy your day." Sitting down McMurry continued with her meal.

Leon's hands spread across the poster, correcting the small piece of tap over a poster. "And…." Leon said to himself quietly. "..finally unpacked." As he was satisfied that it was put up properly. He stepped to the center of his living/ bed room. His room was setup with very plain decorations which consisted of few photos with friends in civy cloths and posters of TV and game series. His laptops and tablets were strewn randomly between his small bed, dining table and couch. Presently his laptop was settled next to his controller for his game console on the couch. The screen displayed a few dossiers of students medical profiles in a list. He had gone over the first, second, and third year's profiles. He planned to finish memorizing them tonight after he had gotten something to eat. Before that he had to check-in with the headmistress. Leon had woken up early this morning to get himself properly packed away without anyone seeing everything he was bringing into his clinic and apartment. The equipment the last medic had was not satisfactory according to Leon, and he had been up since 2 am stocking his room and clinic according to his specifications. He also had a few items that would look very strange to the casual observer and moved them in before anyone was awake. The last thing he needed was rumors going around about him… of any kind. For now he needed to focus on meeting with the head mistress and not making himself seem like an imbecile. He already assumed she didn't like Leon's absence during the day of the opening ceremony and orientation, but he had other obligations to solve before he could leave the US. Inevitably, Leon's flight was delayed and his luggage was a lot to manage once he landed. He arrived late in the evening yesterday and was able to catch a few winks after stowing the really racey luggage in secure locations. He was still very tired and the travel and moving had left his simple t-shirt, jeans, and body with an odd odor.

With a sigh, Leon began to undress and headed in the direction of the bathroom. He needed to be at least half decent to meet the Headmistress. He had heard that this Ms. Hughes could be wroth and short tempered, but those were rumors acquired by hear-say. He hoped that she would be much like her dossier described her; Passionate and steadfast. If Leon was lucky, she would have somewhere else he could be helpful that wasn't cooped up in a clinic. He liked silenced, but he knew by the job description that he wouldn't have much to do, unless these students were outrageously violent. He could handle that, he was sure, but he didn't want to have to resort to wrestling and subduing teenagers just yet. He flicked the shower onto scolding hot, and let the water warm as it ran over his hand. It was strange to have such idleness that he could enjoy a shower without some sort of interruption. As he stepped into the stream of water, Leon couldn't help but feel the ease around campus. He almost wanted to lay down and simply let the water run over him, but he knew better than to keep a meeting as important delayed any longer than it had to. Leon began to stub himself down quickly as his former superior's words rang in his head. "Keeping something bad off will only make it worse." He wondered where he was now. That crazy old man couldn't sit still if there was nothing left to fight. "Crazed old hunter…" Leon made the words a curse as he finished rinsing himself off. With the suds headed toward the drain, he stepped out of the shower and began to dry himself off. He wondered if any of the students would be like the old man in terms of temperament. If so, Leon figured he would've already heard her/him by now.

Leon sighed and thought about what Gehrvolt would do to the young students if they decided to join the dark. "Nothing better than hunting fresh pups. A hunter must hunt, but this is like cherry picking." He shuddered. Light and dark always seemed so ambitious descriptors for the two sides that had been embroiled in an 15 year conflict. Finally dry (excepting his hair), Leon stepped from the bathroom and opened his closet, pulling his plain black suit out and settling it on his bed. He had seen more evil done in the name of the light than at the hands of any truly wicked 'dark' elementals. Perhaps being assigned to Gehrvolt had more to do with that, but he was not sure. Leon looked back at the names he was studying. Vi Frigi Callary- Ice elemental- Birthday: February 5th, 1999 etc. In a word, this young woman could be seen as a enemy in the old hunter's eyes. As he slipped on his shirt and pants, he wondered what ran through the young woman's head; Whether her intentions were good or more Dossiers only said so much, and the headmistress was very good at keeping the information within these walls. Her stance on the war seemed to be the right one for Leon, but he couldn't sit by and watch the world burn either. At least then he wouldn't have to fight along side a real beast. Securing his tie around his throat, Leon grabbed his jacket and slipped into it before looking himself over in the mirror. Leon moved the still wet strands of hair out of his eyes, noting the utter paleness of his skin. His suit fit well enough, though he felt like he was always missing something in civy cloths. Fidgeting awkwardly, Leon headed toward the door contemplating how he would explain his absence to the headmistress if she asked. Worst case scenario, he could making something up, seeing as it would be impossible to explain what he was really doing. He felt that a fire elemental would be less likely to be understand than anyone else. As he entered the hallway, he could see it was a-buzz with students and teachers headed toward breakfast. He had forgotten the schedule while he was unpacking and figured that students would be heading to class at this point. He had also forgotten his hunger, but his stomach soon reminded him. Just a quickly as the thought ran through his head, he found that hallway empty into the cafeteria. With his lazy gate, Leon followed the others, noting the quiet that soon followed. Passing the threshold, he soon figured out what could silence a room full of teenagers. Ms. Hughes was standing giving an announcement to her student body. She appeared confident enough, but something in how her eyes focused on two or three points in the room as she spoke made Leon wonder what else was going through her mind. Once she was done, she promptly sat back down and began to eat her meal ordinarily enough. One thing was clear to Leon though. She was terribly attractive.

Leon gulped and adjusted his jacket. He missed his large piece of iron that propelled other smaller pieces of iron, more commonly known as a rifle. Gehrvolt always said that soldiers placed to much confidence in their firearms, which is why he always worked exclusively with blades, though he noticed the same weakness when he was absent even a knife. Weapon or no, Leon knew he would have to face her. His casual gate was gone, replaced with the steps of a fresh recruit with a drill sergeant as his heels. With each step, Leon could feel the eyes upon him, though whether they were truly there was a mystery to him. What appeared to be seven steps to the casual observer, felt like a mile to Leon. Coming to where the headmistress was seated, he could feel the beginnings of a choke, but he soldiered on in a way that he knew would make his squad mates proud. "Ms. Hughes…" He said in a tone just above normal speech. "I'm Doctor Kelly, the new medic. I-" He could feel himself breaking, but attempted to collect his composure by brushing a few of his bangs out of his face. "I wanted to report to you personally, and apologize for my tardiness. I've emailed you regarding my late arrival and I am all settled and ready for anything you would have me do. I am also ready to receive any disciplinary actions you deem necessary, Ma'am." The final word almost made him snap to attention, but instead his spine simply straightened. He could almost feel the flush on his cheeks, though whether they were there or not was beyond his mental processes at the moment. He waited anxiously for a response, hoping she wouldn't be wroth.

(Now it's at least a little easier to read)

Two weeks had passed since their first day of the year. Rene and Jamie seemed to be getting along really well so far and even got to play board games pretty often - which was nice. Even if the distraction of having someone else around was keeping him from putting as much focus on his work as normal. It wasn't like his grades were bad. He was actually a very high scorer in school whether he was studying a bunch or not. As far as he could tell, his little trip off campus with Jamie remained undiscovered. Either that or McMurry was waiting to bring it up another time when it could be used against him for something. Just as that thought passed through his subconscious he heard the familiar voice ring out through the cafeteria. Rene lifted his head to look in the Headmistress' direction. The moment the words 'Talent show' passed through her lips, Rene was already looking back down at his plate and continuing to eat. He would have nothing to do with that kind of thing. Luckily, her speech didn't last long and Ren let his mind wander again.

This guy wasn't much of a morning person, so he just kind of stared down at his bowl absently, spooning cereal into his mouth like an automaton with a dying battery. Every once in a while he would stop to chew and then it would start over again. Scoop, much, chew, scoop, munch, chew – and repeat. Stare into space. Wait. Where was Jamie? Did he come to breakfast with him? Now that he thought about it, he forgot whether the other boy had come with him or not. Rene turned his head lazily to the side to see if Jamie was there beside him.

It had been two weeks of being in a dorm room with a friend and it had been amazing! Ren was an awesome person and he had actually played a ton of board games with his hot roommate. Having a real friend felt like rainbows and sunshine. No one had noticed their trip out. He was sure with all the magic in the area, that if the teachers really cared they would have reprimanded them by now. He sat next to Ren and ate his own breakfast, which was a breakfast bar and a piece of toast with his own peanut butter from home. Care packages from home were the best.

He listened to the Headmistress talk about the talent show, but pretty much ignored it. In theory he could do something with his plant magic since he was the best plant mage in the school so far but he would be too intimidated to go in front of everyone and preform, especially in front of Ren. So that was one idea out the window. Mornings were the perfect time to stare at Ren without anyone noticing, specifically because the other boy was like a zombie in the morning. Screw a real plant, he should get the other man a place to grow some coffee for himself. He wiggled his fingers at Ren in a wave and gave a short laugh at Ren's face. "You've been like that for a while now." Jamie teased as he ate his own breakfast. Maybe he could talk to the cafeteria staff about hypergrowing healthy fruits and vegetables to incoporate into more dishes so cereal didn't become the norm here.

Kamarra walked through the cafeteria with her headphones in her hear. Listening to a beautiful instrumental by one of her favorite composers Mattia Cupelli.

Her hair dangled over half her face as she snaked her way through the crowd. She grabbed what she wanted for breakfast and sad in the furthest corner she could fine. Bacon, toast, and orange juice is what she decided to have for breakfast as she began to write in her journal and hum quietly to herself. Her bracelets chiming against the table as she wrote.

She wore sandals with strapped that wrapped around her ankle and calves. A long skirt fell to her ankles hitched up on the left side to show her ankle charm bracelet, she wore a short sleeve black shirt with her floral pattern skirt. Her shirt tied in a knot on her left side.

She was now on her three year mark and this glorious school and wondered if it would be different than the last, she hadn't met any of her dorm roommates yet. She continued to ponder with her own thoughts as she continued to eat and write.

(I hope this is alright).

Oliver had barely paid attention to the announcement. There's a talent show, no goofing off, the usual. Well, actually, not really usually. There wasn't a talent show EVERY day. However, he didn't really care, because he wasn't doing it anyway. All he wanted was to get some food, get to class, and be done with it.

He took a seat somewhere a little away from people and began to eat. It was nice to be having this food again- being a third year, he had already had this before (And yet, being a third year, he still managed to get fucking lost in the place). It was better than any food he usually had when not going to school, especially when he was the one cooking. He had never really been a good chef, and he would admit it. Having someone else cook his food was much easier.

He sighed a little to himself, before pushing up his glasses. So far, the day hadn't gone wrong. Hopefully it would stay that way. Sure, it was only morning, but he wasn't the best with first class-days. In fact, he hadn't even TALKED to anyone yet. Not really, at least. That might prove to be a slightly bad thing.

Kamarra had just finished her breakfast when she noticed Oliver sit down quite a distance from her. She remembered him briefly from their first and last year. From what she could tell he was quiet, somewhat reserved. In her mind she was sure he had more friends than her. She hadn't talked to anyone since her first arrival as a freshman.

She wasn't one for getting close to people, having to deal with all the lost she had it just didn't seem worth it. Though this year her younger brother told her she needed to break out of her shell and she gave him his word she would.

Reluctantly she walked over to where he was sitting. She didn't bother to sit she just stood across from him holding her journal closely to her chest.

"Hello... it's Oliver right? Oliver Wells? I remember seeing you from last year and the year before last. I uhh... wasn't trying to interrupt your breakfast..."

She wasn't use to talking to people let alone making the first effort and quickly grew a loss for words.

"Well..um..yeah that's all I just wanted to say hi."

She began to turn around putting her headphones back in her ear.

Oliver had to say he was a bit surprised when someone actually walked over to him. That was new. Usually people didn't initiate conversations, probably because he didn't seem like he wanted them. Usually, he didn't. This time, he'd make a exception, though, because it was the first day of classes and he should at least talk to someone. Also, the girl was at least trying, and he sort of felt bad. This girl he sort of knew, too; he recognized her from previous years.

He waited patiently for her to finish, then spoke up "You weren't interrupting much, I wasn't really invested in conversation with my eggs. It's fine." He said, shrugging a little "You can sit down, if you want. Not like any of the seats are taken, right? Unless you had plans to sit elsewhere."

Kamarra gave a soft smile as she sat down across from him pulling one earbud out while leaving the other in. She placed her journal up at the table.

"So are you excited for the new school year?" She asked trying to find a way to build a conversation. To be honest she was surprised he didn't just let her walk away. He always seemed so quiet and the years before he wore a look on his face like he didn't want to be bothered with anyone. Goes to show you should never judge a book by it's cover; she thought to herself.

"If it was a new school, I would be. I'm just ready to get back into my routine." Oliver answered, poking at his food with his fork "I don't really get 'excited' for school." He paused for a moment, before deciding to add "What about you?"

He liked school. He didn't get excited for it, though. It was school, and he had been a part of this system for years. There wasn't much to be excited about, in his mind. That was just him, though. He understood that some people got excited for friends or whatever. He didn't have many of those, but he could understand what they would be excited about. The only school-related thing he was even a little excited for, though, was the fact he could get more invested in healing and such, something he considered to be rather useful.

The first few hours of school had been rather hectic, a little overwhelming for a boy who had such little interactions to begin with. It could've been worse, he could've been a complete outcast, but he wasn't exactly sure which one he preferred. He had been hit on within five minutes of entering his dorm room (not that he was complaining), someone had already put a hole in their door (he was complaining there), the only moderately calm one that seemed to share the same dorm room with them had been the boy who stalked in after the storm; and he seemed a little too off-putting to get along with beyond just being room mates.

At least he didn't kick another hole in the door, so that was a bonus.

It wasn't long until he found himself in a crowded dining hall full of eager faces, just choosing a seat off to the side of the larger groups of kids who all seemed to know each other already. He had only half-listened to McMurry as she mentioned a talent show; not that he showed an interest in that anyways. Icarus would hate to stand in front of a big crowd, more-so have to do something in front of a large crowd. That was a big nope. It was at that moment Icarus made the conscious decision to attempt and fly under the radar this year, since he hardly knew a soul and would end up embarrassing himself. Icarus just calmly picked at his food, ignoring the excited voices of the students around him.

This was Ophelia we were talking about, the likelihood that she had been listening to anything McMurry had said was very low. She was more interested in stuffing her face, until she heard her name.

'Ms. Warren and Mr. Kane will be doing Talent Show try outs.. '

Whoa, whoa, wait, what? Ophelia began to choke on her food, grabbing onto Sirius' arm as if to steady herself as she wheezed, trying to catch her breath. She earned a few strange looks but it wasn't anything she wasn't used to, just snapping her head up to look at McMurry like she had grown an extra head.

"Shit, what am I doing?" She blurted out, her eyes widening when she realized she had just cussed at the great Head Mistress. "I mean," she started to say, and then just decided she was already too far down in her own grave to dig herself out. "No, that's what I meant, what am I doing?" She blurted out, looking at Sirius, and then back to McMurry as if they had planned this great scheme themselves.

Oh god, he was surrounded by idiots. Namely, two idiots who seemed to be hosting the talent show. Like a good employee, he had been listening to every word McMurry said, only to deflate at the mention of Mr. Kane being put in charge of anything.

He had yet to have a run in with Ms. Warren as she was new here, but.. from the looks of it, she was literally Sirius with boobs. Lucian huffed at her poor choice of words, just casting a minty glare in her direction. "Poor choice of words, Ms. Warren," he scolded, his voice calm and flat as he spoke. He received a pout from the woman, which earned an eye roll in return.

Would it be a wrong to make a betting pool of how long these two would last? Probably, but he was really tempted to. He just rolled his eyes again, moving to enjoy his dinner in what would eventually become ruined peace.

Braden walked into the office, waiting for a teacher to come and find him. He didn't go to the cafeteria for breakfast, he didn't need food right now. He had been gone for a while now, he was there for orientation, or some of it at least. Braden had used a family vacation as an excuse for leaving for so long. He needed to regain his skill and stay away from people for a bit, but the only one that really knew about his past was the headmistress. He didn't know any of the teachers yet, he knew that last year's teachers had left, and he didn't remember any of the students or their names. He passed the time waiting by pulling out a smooth perfectly round made of wood and making it float back and forth between his hands.

Marisol Reyes
In the Dining Hall

Mari poked at her breakfast and yawned. The first few weeks of school had been exhausting, but she wasn't one to complain. She had seen some familiar faces, didn't really speak to them but at the very least she had greeted others and talked minimally with her roommate. She probably should have been more social-especially considering she had been at this school for three years already-but focusing on her classes and getting homework done played a small role in her lack of socializing. Either way she was sitting alone and playing with her breakfast. Headmistress McMurry's announcement quickly perked her up. A talent show? That sounded amazing! Oh it would be so fun to go up on stage and maybe perform some gymnastics, or maybe even a dance! But could she do that alone? Maybe... Maybe she could get someone to do an act with her? That would be fun! Being able to perform a dance or some type of gymnastics routine with others would be a great thing to put on for the other students! First things first was actually finding someone to do something with her... or just doing a solo act. The thought simultaneously scared Mari and enticed her as she looked out at all of the other students.

Ryland Davis
In the Dining Hall, @Mysty

Life felt great. Teachers hadn't been too annoying, his roommates were great (and hot), and he had his own little cardinal to interact with. Overall, Ryland felt great. The boy stretched as he walked back from his early morning workout, his hair and skin still somewhat damp from the shower he took. It felt great just to be able to exercise and work his muscles before the day started. Yawning, the boy entered the dining hall just as McMurry made her announcement. A talent show, huh? Sounded fun. Maybe one of his roommates would participate. It'd definitely be fun to see Icarus go up on stage and show off his talents. Ryland could just imagine how the stage lights would illuminate the red head and felt a grin stretch across his face.

Grabbing a quick breakfast, the silver haired boy looked over the crowd of students before finally finding Icarus. Giving a little extra swagger in his step, Ryland sauntered over to the boy and slid in next to him. "Why good morning, little cardinal! Enjoying your breakfast?" He smiled as he grabbed a fork and started on his own. "What did you think of that announcement? Gonna show off your hidden talents, spitfire?" He asked, taking a moment to stuff his face with eggs.

Rene nodded a little bit as he saw Jamie there, blinking back his fatigue when the other boy waved at him as if he was giddy or something. So noisy in the morning. So happy. How was that possible? How could these people be so loud and sociable this early? The Headmistress' speech was still ringing in his ears from the sheer loudness of it. Every morning was like waking up with a hangover even though he didn't drink. "Like what?" He asked Jamie. What had he been like? For someone who commonly could not wake up, he was pretty oblivious to his zombie-like state in the morning. This could be because he was still half asleep until around ten in the morning and everything before that was just automated muscle memory controlling his actions. You could switch his toothpaste with something else entirely and he would probably not notice. Rene typically slept in nothing but boxers or shorts and often-times had trouble remembering to get dressed before leaving the room. More than once had he tried to walk out wearing just shorts and carrying his backpack.

He looked at Jamie again, Ren's mouth full of cereal. He may have forgotten to actually swallow. He was still putting the food in his mouth and chewing but he was forgetting a step to complete the process. It took him until he was about to start drooling milk before he realized what was happening and swallowed the cereal. He then continued to eat until his bowl was empty. Once it was cleared, Ren dropped his head down onto his arms on the table, looking like he was about to die from fatigue. His head rolled to the side and he looked up at Jamie. How much longer did they have until class?

Jamie just gives him a teasing, pitiful grin. "You act like you're drunk and I know you didn't drink yesterday. We have got to find you a way to wake up in the morning. Oh, I have something that might help." Jamie gave him a little pat on the head before reaching into his pocket and taking out a small vial of peppermint oil before handing it to Ren. "I have some nice smelling oils, if you would like to smell some. Maybe they will wake you up in the morning."
Literally everything about this week had been amazing. It had been a treat to see Ren's chest in his full glory. It was also him who had pulled Ren back, telling him to actually change. Maybe if he had some smelling salts it would wake Ren up enough to actually function. It was adorable. He was seriously becoming afraid of developing such a crush on his roommate that he wouldn't be able to function.

"Seriously Ren, we have got to figure out how to wake you up properly. You literally forgot to chew on your breakfast. I'm not entirely sure how you even made it downstairs." He was so thankful that the Newspaper Club recieved school laptops because the work for thenewspaper was piling up. He had maybe two other people on the Newspaper Club. At least he had managed to pawn off the photography work to the Photography club since the Newspaper Club had a startling lack ofphotographers. They had been bribed with a section just for their photographs each month so...he had to comply since they didn't really have a president. He was the closet thing to a president they had. Which was why next to his breakfast he had a laptop next to him thatcontained many articles and the final works that they needed for the month's newspaper. It hadn't been all fun and games that week. They were probably the only club that was allowed to work before school started to gather stories needed for the August/September paper.

Icarus had been quite content in enjoying his breakfast by himself, so lost in his own thoughts that the familiar voice of his roommate had completely startled him, and he had barely managed to catch his orange juice as it tipped over. His face turned the familiar shade of crimson, awkwardly steadying the glass for longer than was necessary before he sent a small smile in Ryland's direction as the other sat down next to him.

"I mean, I almost just got orange juice everywhere but other than that, it's pretty okay," Icarus said shyly, just picking at his own food with his fork, literally looking over to the orange juice as if it had personally offended him.

And as Ryland asked him about the talent show, Icarus nearly dropped his fork as he let out a laugh. The sound was sudden but bubbly, a smile going across his face. "Oh please, I nearly set the bed on fire and we haven't been here for a full twenty four hours. It'd be in our best interest to not let me on stage where I can set everything on fire," Icarus giggled, covering his mouth with his hand for a moment to hide his own little grin before he turned his attention back on the silver-haired boy. "What about you? I'm sure you'd do well in the spot light," Icarus hummed, seemingly a little more comfortable speaking in comparison to how, again, he had almost set the bed on fire when they had first met.

He still had a long way to go, definently, but that didn't mean he wasn't quickly warming up (ha) to his surroundings. He certainly didn't consider himself ready to be a socialite, no, he was far from that, but nobody at this school seemed particularly too intimidating.

Evangeline huffed her bangs from in front of her face and takes deep breaths, as she lands a couple more hits on her punching bag. Her eyes did a double take at her watch and panicked at the time it read. I've missed part of breakfast, now my toast will be cold, Evangeline thought somewhat distressed. Glancing over to her door, to make sure it was locked, she stripped down out of her loose workout clothes and changes into the ones she can teach in and still look professional. She pushed her used clothes under her desk and speed walked down the schools meandering corridors until she found the breakfast hall.
She slipped in past a few groups of students and waved or smiled at a few she recognized. She looked over to the table full of her fellow teachers and gladly moved towards it. Her eyes catch onto the closest open seat which was next to a choking Ms. Warren and a startled Mr. Kain. As Evangeline reached across the table with polite murmurs of, "Excuse me," and, "Thank you," she couldn't help but quickly catch on to what was going on with the tone of McMurrys nearly passive aggressive tone.
"Tomorrow Mr. Kain and Ms. Warren will be hosting talent show try-outs." Evangeline laughed a little and thought a little while munching on her breakfast, The talent show might as well be canceled because how much work can the two of them actually do together? She swallowed her bite and turned to look at Ms. Warren.
"Ms. Warren, I heard about the talent show," she began, "Can you handle that responsibility between only the two of you?" she asked in a almost flat tone, just asking to ask. She looked up from her eggs to meet eyes with blue ones she did not expect to see, they were blue like an ocean but warm like a sunny day. She shoved all of those thoughts to the back of her head as she awaited her response.

Anastasia looked around when she saw a really cute sweater and wanted to go talk to whoever was wearing it. Might as well make some more friends this year. She sat in the empty space between the kid and the end of the table.
"Hi this is really random but I really like your sweater." Right about the time the 's' in 'sweater' spilled out of Ana's mouth did she have a striking thought. Oh my this is a boy. Kind of nervously she sat down next to the fiery boy and smiled across the table at his friend who was sitting there. Looking back at them both once again she spoke, "I hope this seat isn't taken?" Anastasia set her book down on the table next to her plate and grabbed a piece of bacon, making herself maybe a bit more comfortable than she normally would. She met eyes with the red haired boy and almost instantly she knew they would be friends.

McMurry was lost in thought, planning future events, that she didn't notice the person standing next to her till he spoke. Turning she came face to face with the new medic, Leon. She remembered getting a letter from him explaining his absence but, she can't quite remember what it said. Then again she had so much paperwork it was a wonder how she manages to remember anything. At the mention of being punished McMurry was confused. Why would she need to punish him when she knew the reason for his absence. "Mr. Kelly there is no need for punishment, you explained why you were absent so why punish you? Oh, please just call me McMurry like everyone else. I feel old if people call me by my last name." McMurry said giving a slight smile.

Her smile didn't last long as Ophelia happened to open her mouth. Sighing she moved her attention to one of the two people that cause the most paperwork to pop up. "Ms. Warren I assure you Mr. Kain had nothing to do with this arrangement, it was all my idea." McMurry explained glancing at Sirius before continuing, "Seeing as you and Mr. Kain like to leave class and cause quite a ruckus I saw fit to reward you by appointing you as the hosts of the talent show. I also wish it goes with a success." Leaving a slight threat McMurry tuned back to Leon.

"Mr. Kelly at the moment the only thing you need to do is take care of any student that gets injured or sick. It won't be till next month that you will be needed quite often." McMurry gave another slight smile before motioning him to sit down and turning back to her meal.

Sirius sat next to Ophelia at the teachers table occasionally glancing at Lucian. Lucian. The man Sirius has developed a slight crush on. Okay, it's not exactly a small crush but, he'd never admit it. No, he took to bugging the smaller man as much as possible. It was a fun task and kept him entertained most the time. Snapping out of his thoughts he heard McMurry mention him and Ophelia being the talent show hosts. His reaction was much like Ophelia's just minus the chocking.

Shaking Ophelia's hand off his arm he glanced a Lucian who was glaring at Ophelia before glancing at McMurry listening to her explanation. Though the explanation only resulted in complaining. "McMurry, please, you don't want me in charge of the talent show. It will most likely end in a disaster, especially with Ophelia involved."

Lilith only glanced at the two mischievous teachers when they were mentioned. She honestly thought they would do a good job but, it seemed as though not everyone agreed with her. Sighing she listened to there slight bickering wishing she could escape from it all. She still had a few lessons to plan and was hopeing to get them done before her class starts. Then again she had half the lesson plan done so she can always work with that and move what she had planned to tomorrow.

Snapping out of her thoughts she listened to McMurry explain her reasoning to Ophelia. She had to agree with the Head Mistress on this one. They do cause quite the commotion in and out of class. Though they seemed to be quite fun. Still she wished they took there job a bit more seriously.

Sarah sat in a lonely part of the cafe ignoring most everyone. She could care less for the Head Mistresses announcements. All she wanted to do was head to her dorm and read. Sarah's mind wandered to the past day's. Classes were boring which she expected as it's only the first month. Then again it did get interesting when Icarus set something on fire or Mr. Kain or Ms. Warren did something stupid.

She really has no idea how those two became teachers. They were irresponsible and barely taught them anything, not that she minded, but the whole point of school was for them to learn. How can they learn with teachers like them? Sighing Sarah blocked out the world and ate her meal.

Rose skipped through the cafe looking fro the one friend she had made, Ana or Anastasia. They got along quite well and Rose hoped they would become good friends. As she looked around the cafe she listened to the Head Mistress give her speech. 'Talent show? Sounds fun!' The idea of a talent show was appealing to Rose, she figured she could so something cool with her powers. Though what she would do she didn't know.

Finally her eye's set on her friend talking to Icarus and Ryland. Skipping over she chirped, "Morning!" She was quite energetic this morning why she also didn't know. Looking over to Ana she exclaimed, "Ana I didn't know you were friends with Icarus and Ryland!"

Ophelia's fork had been dangling from her free hand during all of this, her mouth agape, the other hand gripping onto Sirius' hand in her panic. The talent show? No, no way. She didn't want to do extra work, especially when she had to act like she was excited and she actually cared; for the record, she didn't.

However, Ophelia wasn't an idiot. She knew all the other teachers suspected she'd fail, and they were right. There was no point in even trying when everyone thought it'd be a disaster anyways, it wasn't worth the effort. Rich blue eyes settled on Evangeline, and surprisingly, she didn't bristle at the other's words. The woman just pointed her fork at her desperately, looking between the caramel colored girl and her fiery Head Mistress. "No, no I can't handle that responsibility; give it to Mouse and Carter!" Ophelia wailed, just letting her fork drop before Sirius began to speak.

"See, Sirius agrees with me," She said dumbly, referring to the other teacher by his first name rather than the last, like he had done to her. Ophelia didn't notice Lucian arch an eyebrow at them due to their first name basis with one another. "I'd say give it to Yule but somebody's gonna end up dead or worse, expelled. Carter and Mouse are obviously the best choice.. or that dude." She said, pointing at the medic whom she had yet to catch the name of.

"Please, McMurry, Mac-Dog, my buddy pal, we're friends, you'd spare me, right?" Ophelia asked, batting her long eyelashes as she clasped her hands together and gave McMurry her best puppy dog eyes.

If Lucian rolled his eyes any harder they'd roll right out of his head. The teacher's table seemed to be more chaotic than the students, and it was no secret as to why. Ophelia had lost her damn mind when given responsibility, his dear friend Evangeline was throwing shade, Sirius was just as desperate to get out of it as Ophelia had been. He had remained blissfully unaware of the glances that Sirius had been stealing, more focused on watching the interactions between his boss and his co-worker. He just took a sip of his water, the glass frosting where his lips had touched it, before he set it down and spoke.

"After watching you two panic like a couple of squabbling morons, maybe it would be good to teach you both a little responsibility," Lucian said calmly, flat as usual, seeming disinterested in the entire affair until Sirius spoke, "Seeing as you two are already on first name basis." He added, only sparing a glance at the amber-eyed man across from him as he said those words.
