Appearance Liwei stands 187 cm tall (6'2") and weighting 70 kilograms (154 lbs) with green eyes and slightly pale skin tone. His figure is rather slim but with well defined muscular structure. Long, dark hair usually frames his face, refusing to tie it into ponytail. His choice in clothing is most often eastern style, very rarely accepting to wear western clothes.
History Born into family of common farmers, Liwei has learned early the value of modesty, dedication and perseverance. From the moment he was able to walk he was restless and eager to see what is behind that hill over there. Though his curiosity may never be fully satisfied, he was always fascinated in strength of man's body and eagerness to push himself further and achieve more. By the age of seven, he already showed interest in martial arts and along with it came the potential... but he wasn't a prodigy. His skills were good, solid, but it seemed as if he always had to push himself twice as much in order to break even with other children. Some exhibited talent that exceeded their age. Liwei wasn't jealous, but he felt as if he will always be behind them.
Every day after school, when others would chose to play, he would return home and train. Same punch, same kick, same swing over and over until his skin was bathed in sweat and his body collapse from exhaustion. Each year the master of the Temple would come to the village and volunteers would step forward, eager to be chosen and train by the masters of martial arts. Twenty seven volunteered but only two may be picked. Though other kids showed talent, he showed dedication and it was perhaps that very dedication that made old master pick him along with another boy. He wouldn't be only one, on contrary, he will be one of fifty children to go Great Temple and spend next ten years learning about discipline, patience and dedication.
For ten years he studied, spending every waking moment in excruciating pain and exhaustion that followed rigorous training. Just when everyone would think he would give up, he would stand up again. Tired, depleted with legs shaking... but still asking for more. Masters taught their students not only how to turn their bodies into living steel, but also guided them through lessons that would aid them in their lives. History, language, mathematics, philosophy, medicine. Those were just few of the lessons that young boys studied. A strong body is nothing but an empty shell without a strong mind to dwell in it.
When he finally reached age of seventeen, he was already a man, molded to seek balance, but there were always those who would seek to break the delicate equilibrium of the world. What he learned cannot be taught anywhere but at Great Temple, so he set out to spread his teachings and his philosophy. World is dangerous place, riddled with corruption and greed but there is also light and hope. His path led him to most unusual place... academy. What a splendid place it is; a place where young minds, thirsty for knowledge will come and he will be there to guide them.

Personality - Mari is a very kind and patient soul, never rushing and always trying to treat others like she would like to be treated. She's caring and thoughtful, looking out for others first and foremost. However with this caring attitude comes a sensitivity and thin skin. She takes insults very personally and is prone to crying fits. She is often considered stubborn, unwilling to yield when she sees others hurt and very firm when fighting for what she believes is right, though she will cry when pushed. Mari is passionate, though tries her best to hide it out of embarrassment. Extremely talkative, if you get Mari going on a subject, she will talk your ear off.

Appearance - (Must match picture) - Mari has short, brown hair and light brown skin. Her hair often ends up curling because of her Hispanic heritage so she straightens it most days. Unlike everyone in her family, she has bright blue eyes, making her an anomaly in her family. She's a generally curvy girl with a little bit of a soft stomach and thick thighs. Despite her attempts to use her dance classes and yoga to stay in shape, she can never really get rid of her softer thighs, arms, and stomach. She's short standing at a measly 5'1", while weighing 123 lbs. She rarely shows her arms, usually wearing long sleeves when she can get away with it or wearing lots of bracelets and bangles on hot days. She often wears either shorts or jeans depending on the weather and a long sleeve shirt.
History - Born to a large family, Marisol is the oldest of five siblings. She and her family used to live in Columbia before moving to a small town in Arizona. Her father works as a pastor and was called to the local church, uprooting his whole family when Mari was a young girl. Immediately she was ostracized for at first not knowing English then later for looking different. However, she received support from her family who reminded her that she wasn't bad because she was different from the other kids, just unique. So Mari spent her days in school getting good grades and finding a few friends.
Despite her family's insistence that it was fine that she was different from the others, the day Mari found out she liked girls and not boys, she immediately denied it. The church would hate her if she came out, and she would lose her father's support. So she kept quiet.
Mari's powers with water started to manifest when she was young. At first her family were worried as no one in her family had these powers before. Her grandparents had thought she was possessed by a demon. However, realizing how similar her powers were to certain kinds of witchcraft, her family quickly put in a policy of don't show, don't tell. As long as Mari kept her powers to a minimum, they didn't have to worry about scandals within the church or upsetting her more superstitious family members. She mostly managed to keep her control over water hidden until one day when her class had visited the local aquarium. One of the orcas had created a huge tidal wave that threatened to flood the stands that Mari and her class had been seated in. Acting out of instinct, Mari managed to keep the water from hitting her class and return it back to the orca's pool. Almost immediately after that event Mari got her letter and was sent off to Celsius Academy.

Personality - Ryland is a very cheeky and energetic boy. If there's a game to play, he's there. A prank in plan? Ryland will come with supplies and at least five different escape plans. Got a party going? Ryland will be the loudest and dance the most. However, with his energy also comes an impatience that results in Ryland trying to rush everything from relationships to cooking. Ryland is also very impulsive. He'll go with his first instinct and stick with his gut, though his first instinct tends to be the wrong one. Ryland is an honest but mischievous boy. He's willing to play a trick or two, but if caught it doesn't take much for him to break down and admit the truth. However this helps him explain in plain terms what he feels about people and confess feelings to others. Ryland is confident to the point of almost being cocky. He has a swagger that lets people know he knows he's awesome and will not hesitate to tell you. He's a bit arrogant, but tries to treat others well all the same. Lastly Ryland is a flirt. He sees an attractive person and immediately turns the charm and confidence up.

Appearance - Ryland is a young African American boy with lighter brown skin, green eyes, and (dyed) silver hair. He is a lanky boy, but has been working on developing some muscle and succeeding. He's trying to become more buff, but so far still holds a very boyish figure. Ryland usually wears three earrings, one dangling one and two pierced just above that. Most of the time he'll be wearing something to show off all the work he's done, whether it's a muscle shirt, a sleeveless hoodie, or just no shirt at all with shorts and flip flops. He almost rarely wears jeans or anything long sleeved unless it finally gets cold enough that he could run the risk of frostbite by standing outside for a minute. He's a tall kid, standing 6' even while weighing 165 lbs.
History - Ryland is the second oldest of six siblings, born in the bad part of the city where gangs and mobs ran rampant. His father was a hard factory worker while his mother was scraping to try and earn a CEO job at her company. Ryland's mother was not a nice woman, constantly belittling her family and blaming them for not being able to properly get a promotion and the living conditions they had. She often would beat up Ryland's father and sometimes go after her children, though his father did his best to shield them. When Ryland was 13, his mother was at her worst and constantly came home screaming and throwing things at her family. Done with her treatment, Ryland ran off to join one of the local gangs. They promised a family where they didn't hurt their own. They had promised Ryland stability, money, and most importantly, power. So Ryland dropped out of school and ran around with his gang, slowly discovering his powers and using them to help the gang create better forts out of the metal around them or using it to trap or hurt rival gangs. Everything seemed to go okay until one day Ryland's gang ordered him to kill someone with his powers.
Scared and confused, Ryland refused. His gang didn't like this sudden disobedience and punished him. Shocked with the reality that now slapped him in the face, Ryland instinctively used his metal powers to trap the others, running away. At first he tried to go to the police, but was scared off as he realized he would have to go to jail, or at least juvie, if he revealed he was part of the gang. Frustrated, he returned home to his family. There his father greeted with open arms, quickly reprimanding Ryland for running off while also reassuring him that he had missed him so very, very much. Ryland's mother left the day after Ryland came home. Glad that his mother was gone for good, Ryland soon returned to school at his father's behest and tried to study hard so he could help support his family. Soon enough he got his letter to Celsius and after being reassured that it was all right to go, left to learn how to control his powers.
