Celestial Avians

"Did you get any weird vibe from me that might have told you that I had a tatty too? Or was it just the ceiling that said that, cause that's how I figured it out for you Shai'."

"Well, my bracers always vibrate somehow," Shai' tapped her upper arms to highlight the brass bracelets there. Their twins, to thinner ones, were around her wrist, and one thicker one of another metal was around her thigh right under her shorts. "But, that usually happens when I'm nervous, ha, and I'm always nervous..." Shai seem to grab her waterfall tresses automatically, twirling a long black strand around her finger to prove her natural anxiety.

"But, when I arrived, my tattoo really began to burn like wildfire. It rarely does that. And today is really strange because it's getting worse and it won't stop." Like a light bulb turning on, she beamed, "That has to be it. The more it burns, the closer we are to another silver tattoo!"

With their plans in place, Sen coasted Shai out the door,
"Maybe we can find your cousin too and see how she is settling in here," she offered, "Come on Shai', I promise you won't get into any sort of trouble. I'll make sure of that."

"Oh...alright... I guess we can do that..." She followed, still twirling her long hair in her hand.

After a while, Shai just grabbed it all together and quickly braided it up - almost feeling silly for being so unnerved about - walking down a full and busy hallway. She gasped at seeing how many people were moving about, but kept her eye on Sen as they moved on their way. Soon, the heat of her tattoo began to burn off the herbal lotion and cause her to hiss. "We must be close to another one... It's really burning now." She winced when she touched her back, now wishing she had an ice pack or something.

Stroking her chin as if she had a beard with the thick thought of understanding Shai's words about the strange occurrence about her flesh marking burning today, she could only assume that Shai' was right about it. And silently thanking whomever that hers did not do that. Otherwise she might have ripped off her skin the first time it did it!

"You might be onto something!" Sen acknowledged as they left the safe confines of their leased room before looking at all the people traversing through the hallway. "Geez..." she muttered to herself not overly liking the crowds but kept herself together.

Her attention kept sailing over heads attempting to get some sort of aura feeling from others as if she was a clairvoyant though she was getting little success. Her mind only came back to the pair of them when she heard Shai' hissing as she out stretched a hand as if to calm the girl down, "Really?" lifting her head up, she realized they had been at the end of the hallway with a rather elegant looking ritzy girl standing at the window. She seemed to catch her eye the most out of everyone before she returned her gaze to that of Shai', "You alright Shai', let me know if I can do anything if you need it!"

Only minutes when Cameron had stepped outside the hallway and stood by the window, girls appeared in the hallway either getting in or out of their bedrooms. As soon as she heard the first sign of movement, she instinctively felt the crane tattoo on her right arm.

Her crane tattoo stretched from her right elbow to the back of her palm, swooping down in an ever graceful form with its eyes closed. The image always reminded her of the euphoria she feels when she is absorbed in her own dances. Only months ago, she had been proudly sashaying her tattoo in the streets; the crane was her identity and her family's insignia, DeLancey, loyal to the crane.

But all that changed when she ran away, hiding who she was from strangers who are bound to recognize her and call her father's attention to her whereabouts. No one must see the crane, she had always said to herself. No one must know the crane.

She let out a sigh of relief when she felt the brown leather of her long sleeved jacket as well as the navy blue fleece fingerless arm warmers which covered her palm sufficiently. Her navy blue fleece arm warmers were only one of the many pairs she had bought since her escape.

The girls that moved about the hallway paid Cameron no attention, and just as well. From the looks of them, they weren't worth her time. Just idiots whose worries are all trivial, she thought. She noticed a couple of intelligent pairs of eyes here and there but only a sliver. Still not worth her time.

She looked back at the window. For the span of time she had spent spying, she had seen the lady from earlier meet a couple of girls about her age. Freshmen, just like me, she deduced. Or else they wouldn't look so unsure. She even smiled at the sight of the Korean who wouldn't stop shaking even when she was accompanied to her room. Both newcomers hadn't noticed the quiet blond by the window at the end of the hallway, not with so many other girls lurking.

Cameron frowned. Already the school has started to look quite dull, what with the average bedroom and the average people. She did not fit here. Her excitement to solve a mystery has almost dwindled, but a question still remained in her head: Why was I chosen to be here?

She narrowed her eyes and turned back to the window, hoping to see the figure of the old lady who was probably the only non-average person in this place.

"I'll be fine," Shai' sent a reassuring glance to Sen as she took a few deep breaths. "I'm use to it - somewhat..."

She looked up to through the crowd. There was no one in particular that seem to connect, but just when she'd thought the whole tattoo detector was a dumb idea, her eyes fell on a girl at the window. Automatically, the intensity of the burn calmed down to an evil sizzle.

Shai tugged at Sen's shirt sleeve, "Ah, kadun kanay singka!" Shaking her head, Shai repeated her words in the right language, "I think that's her! At the window. As soon as I saw her, the burning calmed."

Being reassured to her condition, she might have made a comment but she found herself blinking at the language that came tumbling out of her Shai's mouth.

She knew so little of German already, but any other language went right over her head. Though she was easily grateful to have Shai correct herself into English, as she offered a hand for her to stand up again.

Extending her attention to that of the girl who she noted a bit earlier, she raised a brow in unison to that of her lips. "Hot dog, I think we have a winner!" she grinned before looking to Shai, "Next time, let's bring a ice pack or something for you. Can't have you setting a flame, unless you are phoenix too." she teased firstly.

Making sure that Shai was as fine as she stated, Sen would make her mission to go trucking towards the curious elegant girl who really did seem way too prissy to be here, she looked to the girl and then out the window. "What you looking for? Or are you stalking someone from the window with your raptor gaze?" she addressed the girl with little care, before she tucked her hands into her jean pockets, "Jeez you look like you should be in a painting with jewels all around you with how you are so poised here."

She held her grin before she opened her hand to at least introduce herself, "Sen the name and this is Shai', you new here too princess?" she looked like a princess to that of Sen and she had no qualms about making that well known either.

Not even bothering to smile, Cameron hesitantly took Sen's hand, reminding herself that the crane on her right arm was well covered by her leather jacket, and more so, her arm warmers. She did not like the way the girl addressed her. So...inappropriate. Only a flirt could talk like that, as far she knew. "DeLan---" she paused to correct herself, "---Meritt. DeMeritt. Cameron DeMeritt. Pleasure."

Although, she was far from being pleased. She quickly glanced at Shai', the nervous girl she had seen earlier. This one, she was sure, was a freshman. But Sen seemed to have a confidence the newcomers she had seen didn't have---and, it seems, a mouth that didn't have any bounds. Could she be new here as well?

"Yes, I just came here," Cameron continued. "By any chance, do you know the lady who escorts the freshmen? I found her interesting enough to be...spied upon." She made the emphasis to point out how much she resented what Sen termed as stalking.

Tashanee looked at the door and then back down at her crumpled map. She nodded her head. She had found her room and without any hassle at all! She delved into her pocket for the key, but her shoulder nudged on the door and it creaked slightly. She jumped back a little and then lightly, with her fingertips, she pushed it open. It seemed to creak in pain as it opened widely. Tashanee gasped and ran into the room, excitement taking over. She loved it! So quaint! She couldn't control her body as she span around, her arms out-stretched. Then she stopped and shivered. The window was closed and she could feel no breeze coming from the open door behind her. She bit her lip and just decided to "feel" the room.

She closed her eyes and discomfort washed over her. A secret, fear, loneliness and bitterness. She forced her eyes to open and she steadied herself. It was only then that she noticed the leather bag on the second bed. Her eyes widened and her lips began to tremble. The person she was sharing this with... The poor creature! Such a heavy toll of emotion she was wearing. She calmed herself. She was very sensetive when another's emotions were as bad as this.

She put down her shoulder bag on the other bed and went to the door. She looked down the hallway and there she saw three girls near the window. From one she got a wild, crazy aura that she couldn't help but smile at. It softened when she felt the next one, shy, nervous, like a little lamb. Then the third one hit her. The same on from the room, multiplied. She took a deep breath and walked over to the three, a soft smile on her lips.

"Hello there. Um, I am just wondering if one of you is my room mate? The room down there." she waved her hand to the room that she was happy to leave. She turned back and gave a soft smile to the group.

"Very nice to meet you all. My name is Tashanee Oliveira, but sometimes friends call me Tash or Annie."

Shai listened silently, as she normally did. Sen was more outgoing and a way better spokesperson, in a sense, than she was. Even though, she's never heard an introduction quite like that before... Still, the new girl didn't up and leave from the few possible insults that could be numbered easily; seeing them as nothing to complain about.

While Cameron introduced herself, another onset of pain stuck Shai in the back again. Holding her reaction this time, she just stepped back towards the nearby wall, leaning slightly against it as another girl walked up in the mist of their frisky circle of strangers.

"Hello there. Um, I am just wondering if one of you is my room mate? The room down there," the new girl said, waving her hand to the room direction from which she'd come. "Very nice to meet you all. My name is Tashanee Oliveira, but sometimes friends call me Tash or Annie."

Shai nodded her head and took a deep breath as she looked at Tash. She had to be another one, for - again - as soon as she acknowledged her presence, the burning calmed a bit. As if being around Sen this short of time loosened her tongue a bit more, Shai actually smiled, if you can call it that, and nodded towards the new girl.

"Um... I'm Shai...and this is my roommate Sen. We were introducing ourselves to...Cameron here," she motioned towards the girl at the window.

Not knowing what else to say, Shai looked directly to Sen with a light nod. Hopefully, she registered what she was going through right then to realize that they've found another person who might have a star.

Rubbing her hands with a clapping motion while Cameron introduced herself, rather poorly at first before she found the name she was called, it looked like she was calling this a job well done. Though she dared lift a brow to how Cameron spoke to her making the very evident point that not enjoying how Sen spoke to her.

That in itself ensured a bit of a scoff of a laugh, oh this one was going to be one of those girls. Why guess, it was about time she learnt to crawl on her hands and feet while receiving orders, not! "By chance I may have met her, alongside the muffin man." Sen retorted promptly before she shrugged it off, "Probably off escorting more unsuspecting victims to their educational nightmare.." She held no fear of this place, why? Cause it was just that, a place. A place she had been stuck to because it seemed to fit into the busy schedule that was her parents lives and her own, while seeming to offer the best skills and attributes to any mind willing to be molded. She was not about to be all shy and a quiver like half the girls in the school, what would that prove?

Rather than beat around the bush, she allowed it all to hang loose in a manner of speaking. Though her lips parted in a cur of words before her lips shut closed again to look over across her shoulder to the newest girl coming towards them all.

Blinking some, Sen pointed to that of Cameron when Tash asked whom was her roommate. Unlike her roommate, Sen actually rather liked Tash and how bubbly her personality seemed to be already. How'd she get saddled with the look down her nose at everyone girl? She kept those thoughts private before she chuckled gently as she made a mock curtsy to Tash when Shai' introduced her.

Though it didn't take much to realize that Shai' had reacted again to this newest girl which in fact wiped the smirk from her lips leaving her blinking. She thought okay maybe another would be possible with the markings, but two? Now it was getting weird.

Making a short nod more to that of Shai', Sen figured her might as well dare it. She seemed to be the only one currently with an ounce of guts or stupidity. Depended who was looking at her.

Lifting her hand to cup around her lips, the glint in her eyes was playful as she lowered her voice to a whisper. "So a little birdie told me that you two are in the rooms with the constellations on the roof." Sen suddenly looked serious as she looked up, back to her right then her left before her foot slipped backwards as if to make her retreat though she was keeping a eye on Shai' not wanting her to get over exerted with the sudden appearance of so many.

Tying her hands behind her back she swayed her hips, "So... wanna help us find the rest?" her brow flicked up and down eagerly all the while her gentle grin turned utterly mischievous.

Tashanee felt the nervousness around Shai and she gave her a comforting smile, hoping to show she posed no threat.

"It's so lovely to meet you both Shai and... Sen, yes?" She nodded to the other girl and gave her a bright, beaming smile to reflect the bouncy and wild aura she got from her.

Her eyes rested on the last girl, her room mate. Her lips formed a small smile. The girl was very beautiful, like snow.

There seemed to be a silence, but it was soon broken by the talk of constellations... Tashanee blinked and then her lips formed an"o" of realisation, "Ah, sí! The birds!"

Her own tattoo was never hidden away. It had been a part of her body for as long as she could recall. It was a part of her body, and like the rest of her body, she loved and respected it. She touched the Toucan that swooped across her collar bone, it's silver beak just failing to touch her shoulder, lightly with her fingertips. She looked back up at the group.

"I am the Tuccanna." She told them, brushing her hand away lightly, the tattoo sparkling as if it was presenting itself to them all.

Tashanee was surprised to find that there might be more people like her and of course, she began to feel curious.

"I will help you. This sounds quite... Um... Curious? Fascinating!" Happy with her finalword, she waited for Sen to tell her this "investigation" plan.

She winked to that of Tash her way of saying she was right on the money for getting her name right. This girl was wonder already that seemed very okay in her books. Full of life and ready to grab it by the horns as it were. If the others were remotely like her, then she could only imagine how much enjoyment and amusement she would get from it all.

Her lips quirked into a playful sneer while dapple fingers draped over the line where her tattoo clearly rested, not remotely bothered to hide it. That alone told her that, Tash was a lively spirit. "Tuccanna?" she repeated mulling the word over in her mind before she hummed with a wide o shape of her mouth, "Toucan! Ah marvelous." she didn't dare go into explanation about anyone else but herself, not wanting to embarrass Shai' in the least and well, the other girl she didn't know what her marking was.

Putting her hand to her chest, she grinned still; "Welcome aboard dear Tash," she mocked the tone of a higher english maid, turning her nose upwards, "You have joined the elite guild of bird finders," her brow rose before she leaned inwards to Tash. "We are just sort of walking around right now searching, but trust me when you see Shai' point someone out. She is simply brilliant at pointing out who has the tattoos, how she does it we'll never know!" she didn't want to say anything to put Shai' in an uncomfortable position, rather she would let her explain if she wanted.

"By chance I may have met her, alongside the muffin man." Sen retorted promptly before she shrugged it off, "Probably off escorting more unsuspecting victims to their educational nightmare..."

Cameron was about to counter something at Sen but thought better of it. She was definitely one of those girls who, no matter how many comebacks you use on them, they just won't accept their stupidity, she thought. Instead of wasting her time in a verbal war, she simply narrowed her eyes.

Coincidentally, her own roommate had arrived and walked over to ask about her, and Sen being Sen introduced Cameron for her. How very impolite. But her distaste for Sen's inappropriateness was set to pause when she noticed Shai' and Sen exchanging glances and nodding towards the girl. What were they on about?

Cameron soon got her answer when Sen said,

"So a little birdie told me that you two are in the rooms with the constellations on the roof....So...wanna help us find the rest?"

When Cameron had been searching the room for hidden cameras, she had vaguely noticed the constellations plastered on the ceiling and simply dismissed it as some form of well-made vandalism of the girls who had stayed there in prior years. But now that she came to think about it, if it wasn't meant to be there, then surely the cleaners would have exerted the same effort of leaving the bedroom spotless to scrubbing the vandal off the ceiling.

These girls may not be stupid after all.

She had been lost in her thoughts again when she was caught off guard by her roommate---Tash, was it?---who pointed at a tattoo on her collar bone: a Toucan...and Tash had called it Tuccana.

Cameron couldn't help but let out a gasp. It looked just like her crane tattoo! How could that be? she thought. Do Shai' and Sen have tattoos as well? God, what if they don't? She slowly hid her right arm behind her back and silently cursed at Tash's naivete, willingly showing her Toucan to strangers. If her tattoo was just like Cameron's, then it holds a powerful insignia. Most likely, they were both gathered in this so-called school for who knows what, and maybe Sen and Shai' were in on it. Kidnap for ransom, maybe.

She quickly glanced at the duo. They seemed harmless enough: Shai' being too nervous, Sen being too tactless for her own good. But as each second passed, her distrust between the two girls grew. There was something eerily familiar about them both---and come to think of it, even Tash---and Cameron didn't like it one bit, especially when Sen hinted that Shai' can recognize the birds.

No one must see the crane, she chanted in her head. No one must know the crane.

"Look! I have no idea what you're all talking about," Cameron brushed them away with her left hand and interrupted the conversation. "I don't have a bird either as a pet or a tattoo. So please leave me out of this." She cut through the group and headed back to her room but a thought made her stop in midstep.

They could provide her with important information about this school and the tattoos. Besides, she can't just leave Tash in the hands of these teenagers who might mean her harm. They both had an insignia; if anything, that meant a bond existed between the both of them---whether she liked it or not. I must keep Tash safe, she decided.

Cameron turned back to the girls. "On second thought," she said. "I'd be more than willing to join your...'bird hunt'. You just might all the brains you can get." She gave a little smile and folded her arms, ready for whatever these girls were leading her into.

Lost really in most of the conversation with Tash and trying to keep a firm out for Shai' alongside any other beings who may be toting around some valuable silver upon their flesh, she hardly realized that Cameron was brooding.

Though when she would suddenly speak out and brush them aside, Sen was left blinking. Looking around the hallway as if something had just gone off in an explosion that she happened to not notice, a hand scratched the side of her face.

Lips had opened to some sort of manner of speech as Cameron whirled right back around to suddenly change her mind. She might have been more than willing to accept the help until she heard the brain comment. Pursing her lips together Sen could only shake her head, "Right Cameron, cause we are the ones who are dumb, yet it was Shai' and myself who figured out that you and Tash had the same markings, really we need more brains." she tsked her tongue, before she gave this girl the slower look over. Whatever her problem was, it was evident for all to see that they were common folk. Ones who should be able to lay down on the ground so she could walk on them, just to make sure she didn't get anything on her shoes.

"Any else you would like Lady Cameron?" Sen lifted her brow, "Perhaps when you are gifting us with your amazing intelligent I could even rip out my spine and lend it to you for a backscratcher." She gave her a lacklustre wink, "Just let me know how I can serve you, my liege." Yup. It was officially, she did not like Cameron and her higher presence she held over herself.

Hands spread open wide, "Let's just get this over with, so I can go whip myself and my tongue for my insolence later." Slipping her thumbs into the loops of her jeans, she gave more of an apologetic look to the other girls for her well rude behaviour. They didn't have to be in the middle of it and well, she should have known better as well. It was rather difficult to behave though when she was being herself and suddenly was deemed as the lower intelligence than that of a algae sitting in a festering pool.

"Either way, I am going to go look around for others. " she shrugged a shoulder trying to dispel the irritation of the moment; "Shai' and Tash, I am not going to force you into coming along alright." she tipped her chin forward, all the while she peeked around the group they had currently become and decided that walking along the hallway again would be effective, though she didn't know how many dorm rooms were for girls and well... it would be rather hard to look on the guy's dorm floor... without getting into trouble. Scuffling her hair, she let out a sigh.

When Tash revealed her tattoo, Shai was thrilled and relieved. Then, all this time, her tattoo was truly telling her where the other stars were. Was it possible for it to send signals, or talk to her, in this way? Obviously, there was more to these things than they thought...as well as this school.

Maybe, father was right about a few things...but, it's good to have someone else dealing with this too. I don't feel so alone anymore...

Sen decided to invite them into their investigations, seeking others with stars and learning more about this school...granted, in her own special way. And that was it! Cameron automatically erupted.

"Look! I have no idea what you're all talking about," Cameron brushed them away with her left hand and interrupted the conversation. "I don't have a bird either as a pet or a tattoo. So please leave me out of this."

She cut through the group to leave. Just when she was a good step or two away from the group, Shai's tattoo really started to burn, throwing her back against the wall as the ink seem to eat painfully down to the bone. Simultaneously her bracers vibrated as if to second the motion. Were they - angry - or, warning her - or both?

Shai shook her head and winced, speaking at a whisper, "~We...should...stay together...~." She didn't think anyone heard her, but Cameron somehow had a change of heart and turned back on her heels.

"On second thought," she said. "I'd be more than willing to join your...'bird hunt'. You just might all the brains you can get."

And as sure as she did, Shai's tattoo and bracers calmed back down enough for her to stand straight again. Uncharacteristic of her, feeling some sort of need to speak up, Shai's delicate features turned stern, serious, "We need to go some place safe to talk."

A sudden awareness told her that they really needed to speak openly about their secrets without the extra ears around. Stuff needed to be addressed, because, and she had a hard time understanding a lot of her thoughts right now, but they needed to learn about each other...

"I know this might sound strange, but I think we all need to talk - somewhere else. Would it be okay to go to your dorm, or we can go to ours?"

"What!" her hands cringed like talons as she turned around slowly to look at Shai' for what she was suggesting. Granted she had been making her own scene with Cameron to properly take notice of the incident that happened to Shai', but taking the time to carefully look over her, she clued in how stupid she was being.

Still, she wrinkled her nose at the very idea of staying around... that one.

Furrowing her brows to knit together, hands switched from hanging loosely around her belt loops to shove down her in pockets. Blowing out her lips in a hastily curve, Svenja tilted her chin upwards letting the blue orbs taken in Shai' carefully, almost cautiously though she did understand what she was talking about... in a way.

Her mouth dared to open in a snap to the very idea before she clamped her lips closed. She might have just met Shai and the others, but she could tell that the Korean girl was being forward and smarter about all this than she was. She was even tempted to say that there was no way that she would let Cameron into their room, but she was biting her tongue literally.

"If you think that would be best Shai'," she closed her eyes, "If they agree."

It racked her own brain though with how she behave, how did she ever get her tattoo, she was almost anything but swan like. Unless they were talking about a trumpeter swan.. maybe.

Dwiirok began to unpack, throwing her belongings willy-nilly about her side of the room.
"Just so you know." She turned quickly to face her roommate. "If you don't keep your belongings on your side of the room, I'm going to fetch the duct tape. First offense, I make the line visible. Second offense, I tape you to something. My older sister never shoved off to college when she graduated and I was stuck with her for seventeen years before she finally got married and moved out. She was horribly dirty; I remember finding used tampons and bloody thongs on my side of the room, and let me tell you, that was extremely unpleasant. I assume you won't be as disgusting as she was, but I still like my space." She turned again, resuming her previous practice. Clothes were flung from their neatly folded order into a heap in the corner of the room. Personal belongings, a crappy MP3 player, a DSi XL, and a few DS game cases, were dropped onto the bedside table. Dwiirok casually opened her dresser drawers and began to put school supplies in them. One drawer was for art supplies and drawings, one was for math and science, and another was for history and mythology. History was one of Dwiirok's personal studies; she used what little free time she had taking an online course about American history.
Scooping the final contents from the bottom of her backpack, she plugged two chargers into the wall, one for her MP3 and one for her DS. She stuffed one of her duffel bags and her backpack under the bed, then unzipped her second duffel. Her rushed movements slowed as she tenderly drew out a pale green blanket. There was a soot streak on one side of it. Slowly, she pulled the blanket to her chest, burying her face in it, oblivious to the looks her roommate might be giving her. Almost sadly, she pulled it away and spread it across her bed, smoothing out the wrinkles. The blanket shined, showing it had been washed recently, but there were still a few permanent dirt spots and streaks. Returning to her normal composure, she drew two pillows from the duffel, one feather- and one cotton-stuffed. The girl placed them at the head of her bed, pummeling them into the shape she desired. Concluding her endeavor, she slipped the other empty duffel under the bed.
Sighing with contentment, she hopped up on the bed and stretched out with her hands behind her head, smiling.

"Any else you would like Lady Cameron?" Sen lifted her brow. "Perhaps when you are gifting us with your amazing intelligent I could even rip out my spine and lend it to you for a backscratcher." She gave her lacklustre wink, "Just let me know how I can serve you, my liege."

Cameron couldn't help but give a little laugh. No matter how Sen tried to hide it with her aloofness, Cameron could see right through it. Looks like I hit a nerve, she thought cheerily to herself. She would have absolutely loved to answer Sen back, but then she continued,

"Either way, I am going to go back around for others...Shai' and Tash, I am not going to force you into coming along alright."

Cameron's attention turned to Shai' when she suggested out of the blue,

"We need to go some place safe to talk."

Cameron tensed. Yeah, sure, she thought. 'Some place safe to talk'? To Tash and I's doom perhaps? She gave a warning look at Tash who was next to her. Does she understand the danger we birds might be in? Shai' continued,

"...Would it be okay to go to your dorm, or we can go to ours?"

"What!"

A sudden eruption from Sen which even made Cameron, who had been looking at the Korean, jump a little. She had noticed Shai' lost her nervousness. Then again she was getting a little pale, like she was recently knocked out or something. A question popped into Cameron's head: How did Shai' identify us? While she bored her eyes into the Korean, she heard Sen relenting from her outburst,

"If you think that would be best Shai'," she closed her eyes, "If they agree."

"Fine. But whatever it is that we're going to talk about, we do it in our room," Cameron declared while nodding towards Tash. She isn't going to let Sen and Shai' lead them in unfamiliar territory. At least she had checked her bedroom with any hidden cameras and what not. It was safer. And since Cameron couldn't help herself, she rolled her eyes at Sen and added, "I don't even want to see what you've done to your bed."

Since what they're doing will undoubtedly lead them all to danger, she might as well enjoy herself by jabbing at Sen every now and then.

Tapping her finger to her temple as she heard Cameron state that they would go to hers and Tash's room rather than their own. Fine by her, she didn't think it was easy to get pompous cow smell out of the room easily.

Sidling up beside Shai' to exchange a look to her, before she turned her gaze to that of Cameron talking to her about her bed. Tucking a hand to her chest, she leaned back with a haughty laugh; "Oh I'm sorry that I might offend you with the state of my bed. But you know, not every can sleep standing up in the kitchen cupboard, hey maybe since we are going that way, you can show me the broom you flew in on. Though I wonder how it supports your ego, probably has a bend in the middle from it." she snapped her fingers, "Next time I go to the store, I'll buy you a new one."

Fingers slipped into her back pockets, she had more than her fair share of quips left but she knew it wasn't going to go well if she continued. And that alone was difficult to not to do.

Opening a hand before her, she offered for Shai' to follow firstly though she would keep close at hand.

Cameron simply let out a dry laugh. "Oh, you need not bother, Sen," she replied. "I'm sure you can't comprehend the taste I require for my things, much less a broom. You might just as well fail." Then turned her focus to the others, ignoring whatever Sen did to counter her comeback.

"Please, come." She gestured to everyone and lead them to her and Tash's room.

This time, Cameron looked directly at the ceiling when she entered and sure enough she saw markings of constellations painted on it. She sat right next to her leather bag on her bed. Meanwhile, she noticed a shoulder bag on the other bed with no signs of unpacking. Tash must have darted right out of the room when she came. She looked at Tash with wonder. Was it normal to look for your roommate before you unpacked?

She brushed the thought away. She can't be suspicious of Tash; she had a bird tattoo just like hers. She can't be the bad guy here. She cleared her throat loudly, very much like a CEO who was about to start a board meeting, "So exactly what is it that you need to talk about in a safe place?" she addressed her question to Shai' who had made the suggestion.

Nerves continue to rise as the tension escalated between Sen and Cameron. Shai wrapped her arms around her, grabbing onto her bracers around her upper arms as she followed the other two girls to their room. Things were getting worse between the two girls every second - and her bracers reacted more and more because of it. She wasn't sure why, and wondered more and more if they were connected to her tattoos in some way. They seem to work just like her tattoo, but for other reasons...

"So exactly what is it that you need to talk about in a safe place?"

Instantaneously, Shai's body stiffened, but she took a deep breath and calmed herself, considering Sen's tone of voice being one from a person with way more confidence than she had. So, taking a moment to find such a thing within herself, that strange feeling of importance pursued her and she suddenly found her voice again.

"I've always been told to be caution of my tattoo - to keep it safe from others in fear of their intentions. But, after meeting Sen, and finding others with the same unexplained markings, I've sort of forgotten the importance of keeping them to ourselves... So, I asked for us to speak in private."

Finding an empty seat near one of the desk, hoping that the roomies wouldn't mind if she'd settled there to rest, Shai cautiously sat down. "As long as I can remember, I've had the tattoo of the Bird of Paradise across my lower back...and it always caused me pain. Sometimes, it was nothing to be concerned about. It would burn, but not enough to hurt me, and I had no idea why...until today."

Giving everyone a chance to register what she was saying, avoiding the confused eyes or the ones that held doubt, she continued on.

"My tattoo started to burn more and more since I've met you guys, and will only calm down after I've met you. It's like...it's guiding me towards others with the same tattoos. But then, as soon as Cameron threatened to leave, it was as if all hell broke lose, and my bracers..." She touched her upper arms again where the brass bracelets covered, "I think they're connected to my tattoo, because the more you guys fuss, the more they vibrate...and the more my tattoo burns. I think it's telling us that we need to work together...to stay together... That's why it's showing me where all the stars are."
