Carnal Nightmare [ FINISHED RP]

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Creed went inside and equipped himself with everything he might need to bring that bastard down. Aside from all the normal equipment, he also carried large baseball bat that had a silver cross embedded into it, something of his own creation. He strapped on his boots and headed to the door, grapping the keys for his Hummer on the way out.

Hold on Helaine, I'm coming.

The demon held onto Helaine tight, sending furious bursts of cold into her body as he did so. His hands were large and tipped with twisted fingers that seemed to be like solid ice. He held her, not lightly either, by her neck and around her waist.

"Now, your gonna taste what real pain feels like." The Demon breathed into her ear. He flew with her to a secluded place near the end of town. It was near the edge of the lake and surrounded by trees. There was an old marble slab on the ground, the Demon threw Helaine here.

The demon would not admit it, but he was drawn to Helaine. He needed her, wanted to make her suffer, wanted to extract her lifeblood.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine's head banged sharply against the marble slab as she was thrown. The cold inside her body was so intense that she could barely breathe, let alone think! She sat up, trying to get a clue on her surroundings so she could flee back to Creed's place. But everything was so covered in snow, she could barely see a few feet ahead. Her whole body hurt. She scrambled to her feet, ignoring how dizzy this made her, and tried to bring a burst of fire to her hands again. Nothing happened! She was completely energy-less because of the cold. Even her hair was encased with ice! There was only one thing Helaine could do right now, so she tried to run from the ice demon, to find a place to recharge and permanently kill it this time.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

The Demon, now in his place of power, raised his arms in the air. Ice erupted from the ground in thick bars and formed am Ice cage around Helaine. They were at least two feet around and they curved up about five feet into a twisted peak over her head. The Demon stepped back and admired his creation. This Bitch isn't going anywhere, he thought and laughed. His laugh sounded like howling wind, like a frosty cold night and his eyes radiated an icy blue color.

As shards of ice protruded from his arms, torture devices no doubt, he spoke.

"I want whats inside you, and one way or another I'll get it." He wrapped his long fingers around the ice bars, a cruel smile exploding at the corners of his mouth "Ready to have some fun?"

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine slammed against one of the ice walls that now trapped her, and prevented her from running anywhere. She felt clausterphobia kicking in, but worse than that was the growing fear as she watched the demon glide towards her at an alarming speed. How could she defend herself when she had no weapons or protection? She didn't even have the energy for a tiny fire-ball.. She appeared to be inevitably doomed. Part of her always knew she'd go down this way, having lived so long on her own fighting these creatures so long, of course they'd get revenge. Helaine couldn't do anything but try to steady herself on the wall.... she wanted to stand on her feet, but she ended up sliding down to her knees, unable to even try to stand back up! Anger replaced her fear. "Oi- demon! If you want anything inside me ... you're too late! I expelled it," Maybe bluffing it would buy her time... time for what? to recharge? She was energy-wise, dry as a desert. And Creed wouldn't be able to see her through this thick ice cage! Or find her at all possibly.~ She was just stalling her own death and she knew it.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

The demon took in her words with a sort of tainted joy. He could sense that her powers were still there, why was she trying to bluff him? It made him happy, as happy as he could be that is, that she was so frightened. A wicked, thin, smile curved across his face. His eye's lit up with a furious hate that radiated out in front of him, casting a cold wind on everything in his path. He reached down and grabbed one of the many, long icicles that had fallen from his cage. He rammed it into the cage, wanting to show Helaine what happened when she lied. She was his, and he knew it.

"What have you got to say now, Hunter?" Mocked the Demon. He jammed the long icicle further into her cage, hoping to penetrate flesh.

Across town, about a mile away, Creed was stepping on the gas. A thick plume of smoke shot from his exhaust pipe in the cold air. He was on a mission to find Helaine. He only preyed he would get there in time.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Ow. Helaine was certainly stabbed right through the left shoulder the second time. Blood gushed out of her injury, but the ice-lance was still firmly sticking through the other side of her shoulder blade. Her eyes went wide, but she knew the blade had missed her heart by just an inch. In the next moment, her bluff was certainly called off when a flash of silver-blue light shot straight into the air like the annoying distress signal it seemed to be. She blacked out from extreme shock and loss of blood; wondering to herself if her whole life was going to be like this, getting hurt by demons she was supposed to be hunting. Then, there wasn't any thought at all as she slumped forward, the light from her body getting stronger than before.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Creed's attention was immediately caught by a light. Not just any light, but Helaine's light. That silvery blue essence that she seemed to emit whenever she was in danger. It amazed Creed, it was like her own personal distress beacon. He took a sharp left turn and headed in the direction it was coming from. It appeared that she was in the old side of town. As creed closed in on the area, he saw the Demon standing over her. She was inside what appeared to be an Ice cage, as strange as that sounded. She had an ice spike jammed through her shoulder, Creed had to act quick. With no hesitation he slammed on the gas. The demon jerked its head towards creed just as the grill of his truck connected with its body. The demon seemed to shatter and split as it was thrown into the air. It split and broke into hundreds of pieces.

Creed got out and saw that he had hit the Demon with such force that the ice blade was still stuck in Helaine's shoulder, he would have to get it out somehow. He went to rescue her, noting that she would no doubt be angry if she found out how close he had come to running her over when he hit the Demon. He would keep that part to himself.

Creed was amazed as the ice bars began to melt. He scooped her up in his arms, seeing that she was still very unconscious.

"Don't worry" He said, not knowing if she would hear or not "Everything is going to be alright."

Creed didn't believe that though. He knew that Helaine would beaver be safe in Hope Falls.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine was so far unconscious she never felt the ice lance through her shoulder, or even realized Creed had just rescued her from death. . .again.She only knew an endless dark void that seemed pretty hard to wake up from. She probably needed to go to a hospital from how much blood she was losing. Good thing she wasn't awake, or she'd pitch a fit about going the entire trip there! She really hated doctors and medical things.~

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Creed peeled out, sending rocks and dust flying in the air behind him. He took one look at Helaine and saw that she needed medical attention. Although the Ice spear was beginning to melt, there was a nasty gash in her arm. It looked like the ice had frozen the wound so no blood was actually dripping on his seats, not that he cared. The only thing Creed cared about was getting to the hospital. He grabbed his phone and called ahead. They knew him well there because he had chased some ghosts out of the morgue a few years ago. When he pulled up they were waiting outside with a stretcher. He parked the car, not even bothering to kill the engine. The medical staff told Creed they would take it from here, but there was no way he was going to leave her side.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine felt consciousness slowly returning only a few hours later after she'd been stitched up, the wound cleaned and bandaged, and she herself had been given a big dose of morphine. The nurses let Creed stay close, as long as he promised he wouldn't interfere, and left him alone with Helaine in the recovery room. Luckily, though the wound was very serious, it wasn't fatal. She'd recover with a massive scar, but they'd noticed Helaine seemed to have an uncountable number of scars for someone so young. It made them want to ask questions, but they knew sometimes it was best not to pry into someone's personal life. And since Creed was obviously caring for the girl, they let the matter drop completely. Apparently this hospital held him in high standards. Helaine herself doubted she'd ever feel like a good hunter again.~

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Creed Stood close to the bed, watching Helaine and feeling more or less powerless to do anything. She looked so helpless in that bed, knocked out from the hospital drugs. And he imagined that that scar would never go away. He hated hospitals, always had. The smell of disinfectant mixed with sickness, the endless rows of doors that all appeared to be the same and most of all the feeling he got. It was as if he could feel all the pain and death that happened in them. It was almost as if it was permeated into the walls.

He was absently clutching the crucifix in his pocket, and his other hand was holding her unconscious one. He made sure she was out cold before he took her hand in his and held it firmly. HE felt that this was his fault. It was his stupid idea to use her as bait for demons, and now all he could think is that he was lucky that she wasn't dead. He wanted her to get better, fast. Mostly because he hated to see her in pain…but he couldn't deny it, part of him couldn't wait to use her again.

As Creed sat with Helaine, something stirred in the darkest corners of the basement of the hospital. It was in the boiler room, below the laundry room, and positioned directly below where Creed now stood with Helaine. It twisted and turned in impossible ways. It writhed with hate, hate for everything and everyone, but most of all…Helaine. It could sense her. It could tell she was in a weakened state, and its eyes glowed red in the depths of the hospital, ready to kill.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine looked absolutely -weak- in the hospital attached to all that machinery and lying on the hospital bed. She also looked like she -didn't- want to wake up again. Somehow her consciousness warned her that if she did, all she'd be able to do would be to get tortured by more savage demons or other creatures that hated her for existing. Her heart monitor was only a little skippy. nothing too serious, but still, there were a few disturbances in her heart beat. Suddenly, one of the nurses came in and instantly had to talk with Creed outside in the hallway, to explain that Helaine might need quite a few days at the hospital, since she had taken a heavier blow than they'd first realized. They also discussed paper work with him and other things, but for now it looked as if Creed might be distracted for quite a while.... leaving Helaine completely unattended!

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Creed went with the nurse, despite the feeling that told him he should not leave Helaine alone. He felt uneasy about this, but figured she would be safe in the confines of her hospital room. He followed the nurse town the hall to the reception area. A row of empty chairs sat in front of a desk. Creed couldn't help but notice how damn empty this place was. He got the papers and started filling them out, realizing about half way through that he knew next to nothing about her. Even her basic information, like last name and date of birth. HE did the best he could and handed the sheet back to the nurse.

"Thank you, sir" She said "I think we should let HElaine rest now, you are free to stay here, but you should wait here until she wakes up."

Creed didn't like this but he decided that he wouldn't put up an argument, he was tired and catching a few hours of sleep sounded good to him. HE sat down in the chair and pulled his jacket tight around his body. It was a thick jacket and he hardly noticed that the temperature was dropping several degrees in the hospital as an unseen presents moved slowly up through the walls of the hospital.

It was a spirit, not a single ghost, but an embodiment of thousands of dead, lost, and still suffering entities. It had been dormant in the hospital for years but Helaine's aura made it become full of malice once again. It wanted her to feed its power. It rose through the floor of the basement and took solid shape in her room. Its body was long and narrow, with long arms and legs attached. It had vicious red eyes and an impossibly large mouth that was filled with rows of sharp teeth, It stood over her bed, looking at her with a sickish smile plastered across its face.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine flinched in her sleep, sensing the demons hoovering so close! She tried to wake up, but the drugs the doctor had given her along with the morphine had her under too far! She clenched the bed sheets, her face paler than usual, and her eyes were tightly closed. She felt as if she were going to lose her life tonight, and no one would be able to prevent anything. In fact, her death would probably go unrecorded with something along the lines of an accident at the hospital.

She instantly tried her best to return to consciousness, but all that happened was her mind falling further back into a void. She was too weak and too out cold to even defend herself against this monstrosity that obviously wanted her dead. Maybe later she'd wonder why she was such a demon magnet, but truth be told, she would probably not even mind her own passing too much. Not when so many horrible things were always happening, and there could be any chance of peace on the other side..~

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Creed filled out what little he could of the form, then put it on the receptionists desk. She made no attempt to thank him or ask how he was doing, only took the paper and said

"uuuum sir, excuse me sir, you left the insurance and method of payment blank" In a monotone voice. Calling him sir seemed pretentious and sarcastic at the same time. Obviously she had no idea who he was.

Fucking bitch, he thought. Creed had enough money to last 3 lifetimes, he would take care of payment when the time came, for now he just needed Helaine to get better. Maybe after she was well he would take her away for a while, if only for the rest.

"We'll take care of that later, Nurse Mattie" he said examining her name tag. Creed shook his head and walked to a near by vending machine.

In Helaine's room the air had gone cold and stale. The demon was in a state of pure rage, feeding off Helaine's power like a leech feeds of blood. It put its hand to the door and sealed it with a barrier stronger than an arc wielder could create. It then walked over to her bed and placed his hand over the various tubes and IVs going into her body. With one quick jerk it ripped them all out, the machine flat lined (only because it was unhooked) and the place where the IV had been feeding morphine spurted a small amount of blood. A tiny drop of which landed on the demons lips, a long gray tongue licked at it hungrily. There were many different ways for him to drain her, one of which would be torture. The demon then slapped her across the face.

"Wake up, Bitch. I'm hungry"

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine was jolted back to consciousness with a bruising slap. She winced in agony, feeling all the IV's and needles having been ripped away from her body. Agony ran through her, as she tried to get her bearings. Realizing where she was and what she was facing only made her confirm her earlier thoughts, maybe death wouldn't be so bad! Then again she didn't care to test her luck, and immediately began screaming at the top of her lungs! She tried to hurtle herself off the bed, dashing for the door, but it was locked from the outside- and worse, sealed from the inside! Her hands actually began to burn as she kept trying to twist open the doorknob! Never again was she ever going to trust a hospital with her life... she couldn't trust -anyone!- she'd remember this forever if only she could somehow get the hell out of this room!

Re: Carnal Nightmare

The demon of the hospital, that had lived only through the deaths of others for years, was finally awake and ready to feed. IT picked Helaine up by the neck and through her on the ground. It watched her body hit the cold floor with a dull thud. It laughed at this in a wretched, foul tone. It then got to the floor over to her using only its arms. Its over sized legs dragging behind it. At first it stopped at her legs, looking as if it was going to take a bit of her flesh there, as her gown had ridden up a bit and her thigh was exposed, but it kept moving until it lay on top of her. Although it was fueled by her power, the demon was still in a weakened state.

With its twisted face only inches from hers it bared its grizzled teeth. They were green and brown, but sharp and strong. It grabbed her by the hair and yanked her head back, exposing the tendon and veins in her neck. It could smell her blood from where it was. It then gripped her around the neck, just the sensation of her pounding pulse was enough to send him into ecstasy…….

In the hall, Creed paced while eating a snickers bar that he had got out of the vending machine. All of the sudden red lights started flashing and a voice sounded over the monitors.

"Crash in Room 211 J, Crash in 211 J"

Holy Shit" Creed yelled. He bolted down the hall towards Helaine's room.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine sobbed as she was suddenly chomped into! Her screams rising higher pitched than ever before as she was struggling furiously against this monster that even she knew everyone else would be able to see! With it on top of her, she couldn't keep it from doing what it wanted, or even breathe very well. Her whole body exploded into agony as she collapsed against the cold tiled floor. Her head spun dizzily as she felt not just her blood pulled out of her veins, but a hell of a lot of energy too! It looked like she was really going to die this time. Sorry Creed.. maybe all the craziness will go away when I'm gone... She thought sadly. It wasn't like a lot of people would notice her absence. Mercifully, Helaine blacked out again, unable to feel anything else but a sense of deja-vu, and her spirit trying to leave her body. But that's when her entire self began glowing that electric silver-blue! And again, just as she was so close to death, the magic immediately began burning right through the mass of spirits, not stopping or slowing until it was nothing but vaporized air, unable to victimize another human again. And, she was still unconscious on the floor, her neck open and bleeding, bruises all over her body, even her recently bandaged wound was slightly bleeding. Clearly, Helaine wasn't safer in this hospital than she had been in Creed's own house. At least his mansion provided some form of neutral territory.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Red lights flashed indifferently in the halls as Creed ran past. His heavy, booted foot falls echoed through the hospital like bass drums. Behind him was the bitch nurse from the front desk as well as a male nurse pushing a crash cart. Creed reached the door first and found it to be frozen, not frozen in a cold sense, but impossible to move or even budge. He pulled out his 44 magnum that was secured in a angel draw holster and fired three deafening shots at the doors frame. Splintered wood sprayed back at him, but he payed no mind. His only thought was saving Helaine.

When the door finally opened he saw a fading blue light, and although he had no powers that would help him sense a demon, he could tell that one had been there. HE rushed to Helaine, scooping her up in his arms.

"We're getting out of here, this place is not safe"

The nurse tried to stop them, but Creed shot her a look that said "Get the fuck out of my way" and the male nurse, who looked like he was less a man than her, stepped aside with no question. Creed was in his SUV with Helaine and back at his home within minutes. Once there he set her up on the couch with fluffy pillows and a thick blanket.

"Let me know if you need anything" He said, as he sat back in a chair with a cup of coffee. He planned to sit with her alight. He couldn't help but feel partly responsible for all this. He grabbed the remote and found a movie to watch as she slept.

Re: Carnal Nightmare

Helaine was just fine with being out of that hospital, and squeezed his hands assuring him she was still alive. She curled up under the blankets, warming up easier without that sterile, hostile atmosphere of the hospital. She was grateful her power had saved her in time again. She was dizzy, unable to pull herself out of the strange fog like state her mind was falling through, but she was naturally a fighter. Even if there wasn't much to keep hanging on, she had never been a quitter before and couldn't make herself start now. There was of course, the troubling question: What could she possibly do to make things any better?
