Hey @Salsacookies I've got the drawing almost done, but I just got bitch slapped with a cubic buttload of schoolwork. So, I apologize, but I likely won't have it done tomorrow as I said. It'll likely be done on Wednesday, and if not, then it will be done on Thursday. I apologize again for the inconvenience.

How do I make a Roleplay thread? I'll see about getting this written up today, just don't know how that works.

Click on roleplays in the top tab, then on the upper right there is a button named create roleplay. You should be able to go from there.

I'm reeeeeeeeeeeally looking forward to having this RP up and running!

I'm thinking of making Hollow a Native American reservation, or former reservation anyway, before it became a boom town and turned into a ghost town when the ore dried up, leaving the dying town we have now. Is this theoretically plausible?

Theoretically, yes. Lots of mining towns became ghost towns during the California gold rush. And if a valuable ore was found on a Native American reservation, I guarantee that white people wouldn't hesitate to remove them from the land so they could mine it. I think it's totally plausible.

+1

Though I thought the RP was going to take place in a more metropolis kind of setting. Well, it'll probably make more sense once the IC is up ;p

I thought it was gonna be in a metropolis too. I had a sort of near future setting in my head until I was told to draw the city a little on the ramshackle side. :P But hey, I can do a ghost town! That put a bit of a new twist on it I think!

I'm trying to go for a weathered metropolis. Something that was well populated, but then slowly decayed. Probably with criminals, due to it being That's where all the alien nuts went when Roswell happened, then hippies congregated their. I also imagine ghost towns being a good place for criminals to hang out at, and reservations are also safe spots for that sort of people, too.

EDIT: It'll still be a reservation, but the miners kicking them out didn't happen. That way, it's still a reservation. A rather sizable one, but Ill maintained, and teeming with crime and poverty. This'll explain why Hollow's in the middle of no where, and I could do interesting things with Native American mythology.

Can't believe I didn't spot this earlier! Will start putting together a CS!

EDIT: Does the Cancer arm have to be located in the arm? Or can it manifest elsewhere on the body?

It can manifest pretty much anywhere on the body. The "Arm" in Cancer Arm refers to it being a weapon rather than the actual limb.

Excellent - my 'Springheel Jack' inspired character will live!

This didn't start without me did it? T.T

Nope. Procrastination mode on right now.

Well, suppose I'll withdraw then. Good luck with the RP if it does ever get off the ground.

Name: Lucy Aldrich

AvlLpJj.jpg

Height: 5'6", or about 1.6 metres
Build: Lithe

Skills:
1
st Dan Shotokan Karate

Lifestyle:
Outgoing, yet guarded. Actively pushes away those she feels have become too close.

Job:
Mafia 'Cleaner'. Uses Hollow as a base of operations due to the weak presence of law enforcement.

Natural Abilities/Faults:
Thrill Seeker: Looking for the next rush. Makes her very difficult to intimidate or shake in a fight, but she can get caught up in risky situations both in her life and in fights.

Outspoken: Has a tendency to speak her mind, usually with minimal, if any, tact.

No Hesitation: Lucy doesn't shy away from a killing blow, and feels little remorse when she does do so.
Theme Song:

Relationships:
David Aldrich: Lucy's father, a former stock broker. Lost his job when a big deal he had set up on currency exchange turned sour, and he was forced to borrow from various loan sharks to cover the court fines. Has a strained relationship with his daughter – she views him as a weak venal man who was too fixated on earning money to spend time with his family. He disapproves of her chosen lifestyle, but also blames himself for getting her involved in the underworld.

Eleanor Aldrich: Lucy was raised by her mother, who held down a part time job whilst raising two children. A vivacious woman, she inspired certain aspects of Lucy's personality. Left her husband following his involvement with loan sharks and gambling. Unaware of Lucy's occupation, she lives in Ottawa with her current partner. Shares a close relationship with Lucy, but secretly worries as to what she may be involved in.

Steven Forster: Eleanor's current partner. Has only met Lucy once.

Mr. A: Lucy's contact in the Mafia. They have never met face to face, and phone exchanges are brief.

Are you infected:
Yes

Tell me about your First Encounter/Infection with the Cancer Arm:
Lucy slipped into the alleyway, hood raised over her head. The brief from Mr. A had come through 2 days ago, and Lucy had driven her battered Focus over to Santa Fe. The target was Richard Matherson, a low-level desk jockey with a taste for some of the finer things in life. His indulgence in escorts, hard drugs and alcohol had landed him heavily in the red with the Family, and they had decided to write him off as an example to others.
Arriving at the door to his flat, Lucy picked up a slight hint of an odour in the air – sour, foul. Seemed the dope was probably blitzed out his mind, and had been for some time judging by the lack of personal hygeine wafting from the ajar window.

Taking advantage of the low security, Lucy slipped through the window, drawing her knife from its sheath at the back of her waist. It didn't take her long to spot the prone form of Matherson slumped in the chair at the far end of the room, apparently slumbering. The odour intensified as she crept closer. The faint creaking of floorboards was the only sound in the room. As she reached Matherson, it was clear that her presence wasn't needed. The man's eyes were vacant, filmed over, the pulse...non-existant. Blood leaked from his nose and down his shirt. "Fuck probably OD'ed" Lucy swore under her breath. Slipping out her phone, she hit a speed dial. "He's gone already. No need for me here." A heavy sigh from the other end. "Very well. Get yourself clear in case someone show up." A click. The conversation was over. Lucy turned and headed back to the window, when she felt a sharp pain in her leg, sending her crashing to the floor in pain.

She turned to see some...twisted lump of flesh and bone burrowing itself into her leg, chewing through the flesh. Her eyes tearing up with the pain, Lucy bit back a scream of pain, stifling it to a gasp. She couldn't draw attention in a dead man's flat with a knife on her. Crawling to the window, she fell over the window sill and crashed onto the bin bags down below. The pain was searing, as the creature ate its way up her leg, rending through her body. Her leg screaming and her mind ablaze with pain, Lucy blacked out.

The next she knew, she was in the Family safehouse in Albuquerque, feverish, yet alive. Yet she could feel something stir within her even as she awoke.

Weapon Name: Jaruk

Appearance:
Jaruk morphs Lucy's right leg into a twisted mess of muscle and sinew, reinforced by external bone ridges.

Cancer Arm Weapon Description:
The main power of Jaruk can be found in the external bone augments. These are slightly more flexible than human bone allowing vast amounts of elastic potential to be stored within them by muscular contractions. This energy can be released in an explosive burst, allowing Lucy to leap to immense heights, produce incredible initial burst speed, and deliver kicks capable of shattering human bones

Other Cancer Arm Enhancements:
The flexible bone cage around Jaruk also acts as a shock absorber, allowing Lucy to survive landing from her high-altitude manouvres.

Personality: Jaruk is fundamentally lazy. Tired by his efforts in taking over Lucy's leg, he sees little value in struggling further provided he is provided sufficient food. Since a carnivorous alien beast attached to your leg is an excellent way to clear up forensic evidence, Jaruk rarely goes hungry.

Would you like to play as a NPC? Happy to play any NPCs in Lucy's life.
Would you like to play as a Cancer Monster? Can do if needed.
