Plot:
The year is 2090 and the world is quite differnt than the one we know of today. Science has made great leaps and bounds, as have the magic that once was within the world reamurged. This led to the rapid rise of quality of life and end to many old conflicts. However new ones rose to take the place of Old. The biggest is Heroes vs. Villains, those who would use their powers to protect and aid people and those who would simply use them for their own gain, no matter the cost. While initially the government went against both of them, while trying to make their own with the rise in science and new magic but ultimately failing, sided with the Heroes. While the support was appreciated the numbers were starting to dwindle. So with the help of some influential Heroes bills were passed to get camps to train young Powereds to become Heroes. Camp Riseing Hero was one of the first, built on the grounds of an old military base. Recently it has seen a pretty harsh decline as more and more camps opened up, some even private. However the new at risk program seem to be bearing fruit. However it posed a risk as did the sins buried in the old base.
History:
It started up in the 2020's with a trickle. occasional odd events fit only for the tabloids at first. Then it slowly picked up in frequency and severity. Soon enough It got to the point where people started showing up with powers both mutagenic and mystical in nature. With heavily crime ridden areas the pre-cursors to super-villains and super-heroes manifested, as symbols of hope and despair. At first Governments and people rejected both and actively hunted and created countermeasures but in the end, sided with the Heroes. They even started to create the facilities to train said Heroes. However there have been incidents of former countermeasures rising and villains attacking.
Power Types:
ESP: Psionic Based abilities. Telepathy, Telekinesis, and other related mental based abilities fall into this category.
Elemental: Ability to manipulate fire, water, earth air, light or darkness. level of control and ability and project their element varies.
Physical: Super Strength, speed, and other physical attributes that are far beyond the capability of normal humans.
Energy Base: Abilities that allow manipulation and projection of various energies. Usually is projected from one part of the body.
Support: Abilities involved with boosting powers of others, senses of another or wielder, speeding healing process, or other non-direct offensive or defensive capabilities.
Map:
Training Zone- A place where powers are honed as well as bodies. Arenas equipped to deal with extreme abuse from training bouts. Obstacle courses that push them pretty hard, plus stuff you would find at any normal gym and specialized equipment to improve powers and control.
Cabins- Large log cabins that can house quite a few campers inside. Gender seperate rooms with several bunk beds in the rooms. each has about four rooms, not counting bath and common area, are four, two for each gender. Councilors get their own, more personal style cabins.
Dining Hall- Another large log looking building that has a stage for announcements to be made, bunch of four sided tables with benches. Food was served almost buffet style.
Grounds- The outdoor area of the camp and surrounding woods in the walled area. while they have a few hiking areas, it's generally frowned upon to enter the woods, due to safety concerns.
Offices- Administrative, storage and nurse's office. Said nurse office is much like a small but advanced hospital.
Pool- A pool. Has diving board and slide. some shallow areas and deep ones. pretty basic really. Has suits for those without any.
Rec. Area- A building and some surrounding area with some things to do on off time to help the campers cool off a little.
Old Base Ruins- The ruins of an old military base. It seems to have been abandoned in a rush, several things were still there and a long time ago judging by the amount of forestry reclaiming it. Forbidden territory in camp rules. It is rather small in the amount of surface area it takes up as far as bases go. Plenty of underground stuff though
Abandoned Island Manor- Another forbidden zone in the middle of the lake. The place is a Gothic southern style to it and looked even at distance something real bad has went down.

WIP SORRY I'M A LAZY TRASH BOAT ;O; pls do not read me i am not finished.

{ N A M E : Colette

{ A G E : 16.

{ G E N D E R : Female.

{ O R I E N T A T I ON : Bisexual.

{ C A M P E R ? C O U N S E L O R ? : Camper.

{ A P P E A R A N C E :

{ P E R S O N A L I T Y :
- Colette is cold and snobby, with a loud mouth and a quick temper. She's snarky, quick-witted, and loud-mouthed, and always has her nose up-turned when she looks down on others. She's very opinionated, but pessimistic, and will have no problem calling others out on their 'head in the clouds' bullshit. She's quick to start arguments but makes sure she's always the one to finish them, and is way too stubborn to take no for an answer. She's ambitious to the point where it's almost arrogant, once she sets her eyes on something, it's almost impossible to deter her from her path. She doesn't care how many toes she has to step on to get there, either. She's selfish and reckless, she does not care if she burns the little bridges she has as long as she gets to her destination. Also manipulative, she will do anything to get what, or who, she wants. But, she's not completely heartless. It's very, very hard to get on her good side, but she's very protective of those who have managed to get through her thorny, cold exterior.

{ P O W E R : ESP.
- Colette can manipulate things on will; whether this be levitating objects, or throwing them across rooms without laying a finger on them.
- Further more on the 'manipulation of objects', she can crush/condense/explode things. Such as crushing a pillar, condensing a car, or exploding glass. She cannot use this ability on organic objects. (meaning she can't explode somebody's head off).
- Colette can manipulate the minds of others, put them in an almost trance like state, get information, etc. This ability takes a lot from her mentally, although it is her strongest asset, and she wishes to work on it further. The stronger the mind of the person, the hardest it is to control them. She has yet to use this ability.

{ K R Y P T O N I T E S :
Since her powers are strong, it makes sense that her kryptonites are equally as strong. Her abilities come from her mind; to break her powers, you need to break her head.
- Loud noises. Not in the sense of truck engines, but things such as dog whistles. High pitched screams. It gives her blistering migraines, and if you break her concentration, she can't use her powers. The louder and higher frequency of the noise, the more likely you're going to cause her to black out.
- Messing with her mentally/her emotions. The more distraught she is, the weaker/uncontrolled her abilities become.
- Mental illnesses, once her mind is shot, she's done.

{ B I O :
- Colette was born in Lancashire, England, to an upper middle class family. She had always been an ambitious girl, always mean to the core when it came to socializing with the other kids. She'd pull hair, push children off the play sets. If a boy called her ugly, a rumor would be sent around the school faster than he could blink an eye, and everyone would know him as a bed wetter. Nobody dared to fuck with Colette; she was a class A mean girl.

She had grown to put a mean outer shell because the world had always found a way to screw her over.
you gonna finish?

5CApmkj.jpg

Personality:
Carefree and usually good natured, Erik likes to takes things easy and go with the flow. He was chosen to be a councilor due to his accepting personality and the ability to get along with just about anyone. He likes to goof off and mess around with those in a friendly manner. While his tolerance is high, if Erik does become angry he does so in a very explosive fashion. He also gets cranky if he isnt able to smoke for an extended period of time.

Personal Gravity Manipulation. Erik can change his personal gravity field to be lighter, heavier, or change directions. This allows Erik to jump/float long distances, walk on walls and ceilings, and become an immovable object.
Kryptonite:
Psionic Interference from other powers will disrupt his abilities for a short time. This can vary from his powers shutting off, to his powers acting uncontrollably. Causing him to either become stuck to the ground or float around helplessly.

Hailing from a middle class family, Erik grew up in a normal suburban neighborhood. When he turned 16 his powers manifested much to the shock of his parents. While Erik was curious and excited about his new powers, his parents were not. His parents viewed those with unnatural powers as freaks and therefore shut out Erik from the rest of his family and friends. Depressed and angry about how is parents treated him, at age 18 Erik left to join the army. The army was happy to have a soldier with superpowers so Erik was trained to be a special forces soldier. At first, Erik was happy to be serving his country. But as time went on, Erik realized he was doing more harm than good by killing and destroying in the name of his country. After an incident where Erik was almost incinerated by a suicide bomber, Erik left the army and tried to resume a normal life. After a few years bouncing around from job to job, Erik was contacted by an his old army commander about Camp Rising Hero. Happy to do something that would be helpful and constructive, Erik immediately signed up to be a councilor.

cool, so guess he's one of the councilor's that aren't in the hero business?

Sort of, he has experience fighting and stuff. But he wants to put his talents to better use like training future heroes instead of training future spec ops killers. He is sort of an anti-hero i guess?

Rikki "RC/Arcy" Celta
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual
Camper or Councilor: Councilor
Appearance:
Rikki is a short gal standing at about 5'1 with a tan complexion of Native American descent and bluish-gray eyes as well as fashion sense that's a little out there. Her naturally dark and layered wavy hair hangs down to the middle of her back and she normally wears a couple feathers in it. She also has a few scars here and there from all sorts of things in her past. The most prominent are the ones on her back, but they aren't obvious unless she removes her top. Rikki has these scars and this tattoo on her wrists accompanying small hands with short fingernails.
Personality:
Thanks to her ability and the way she's learned to use it, Rikki has grown to exude a warm, comforting personality type. The sort that welcomes everyone with a near-maternal smile and boundless compassion to match. It is close to impossible to get her angry enough to lose her temper or raise her voice, at least to a degree that others would notice. She's also pretty quirky and easy to please, though some tend to see that side of her and forget how observant and precocious she truly is.

Power:
Pathokinesis the subtle ability to sense the feelings of others and alter them according to her will. With it, Rikki can
  • Physically change the emotions of others by manipulating endorphins, adrenaline and pheromones instead of providing a false alarm to the mind.
  • Manipulate the level of intensity people feel emotions, for example calming someone long enough for them to fall asleep or detecting and influencing hostility in order to use it to her advantage.
  • More easily resolve a tense situation peacefully
  • Lighten/darken someone's mood
  • Offensively/Self-defensively cause a spike of fear or confusion in a fight or altercation so as to disorient her opponent
  • Sense pain and heal physical wounds
Kryptonite:
  • Range: The physically closer she is to another being, the easier it is to manipulate them. She cannot affect anyone beyond a radius of about 100 ft
  • Time: The emotion she creates can only last for as long as she is around and most of the time, less than that, since she cannot keep up the influence indefinitely.
  • Proximity: She cannot heal another without physically touching them and even then, the wound is transferred to her (though to a slightly lesser degree)
  • Large Crowds: Rikki is unable to completely turn off her ability to feel the emotions of others around her so receiving intense emotions from a large group all at once can be very overwhelming and possibly painful for her.

Bio:
Rikki grew up pretty normally in an average family with her parents and an older sister named Rose. Up until Rikki turned thirteen, everything was fairly simple and her powers didn't come in until the day half her family was murdered. Her father had been involved in some illegal business transactions and one day, while she was home with her mom and sister, the three of them were kidnapped and put into a hostage situation as a threat for her father to pay their assailants some 'money long overdue'. Her mother and sister were both killed with a gunshot to the forehead, begging to be killed instead of Rikki before the police arrived to find her unconscious with the two masked men who had died due to cardiac arrest. Rikki's father was arrested while she was sent to a psychiatric treatment center as a ward of the state. Her powers had been triggered when her mother died in front of her, so she felt the emotions of her sister and her killers when she was killed as well, pushing a desperate and highly volatile Rikki to unwittingly strike potent fear into the nervous systems of her assailants, which caused dual heart attacks that killed them and left her unconscious in the aftermath. However, she was the only one to figure out what really happened since she had to learn what she was capable of within the white walls of a trauma center, feeling the damaging emotions of other patients along with the curious analyzing therapists trying to understand why she was only getting worse instead of better. It was the worst place a pathokinetic could possibly stay, but she kept her powers a secret from her caretakers, fearing what they would do with her if they found out what she could do. When she was told her father had been released from prison at age seventeen, she managed to escape the treatment center to try and find him since he had refused to visit her (presumably because of guilt), but she never did. She got by on her own, sometimes on the streets (where she learned she could transfer wounds and use her powers offensively), but her abilities also helped her get jobs, legitimate ones so she could get a place to live and even take classes at a community college--mostly on psychology--until she found out about Camp Rising Hero and applied to work there, hoping to help others like her as she has now since she was 21. Having worked at Camp Rising Hero for two years now, she knows most of it like the back of her hand and she's heard all kinds of stories from the kids she's looked after, listening and empathizing with them the way no one else really can.
