Plot:
The year is 2090 and the world is quite differnt than the one we know of today. Science has made great leaps and bounds, as have the magic that once was within the world reamurged. This led to the rapid rise of quality of life and end to many old conflicts. However new ones rose to take the place of Old. The biggest is Heroes vs. Villains, those who would use their powers to protect and aid people and those who would simply use them for their own gain, no matter the cost. While initially the government went against both of them, while trying to make their own with the rise in science and new magic but ultimately failing, sided with the Heroes. While the support was appreciated the numbers were starting to dwindle. So with the help of some influential Heroes bills were passed to get camps to train young Powereds to become Heroes. Camp Riseing Hero was one of the first, built on the grounds of an old military base. Recently it has seen a pretty harsh decline as more and more camps opened up, some even private. However the new at risk program seem to be bearing fruit. However it posed a risk as did the sins buried in the old base.
History:
It started up in the 2020's with a trickle. occasional odd events fit only for the tabloids at first. Then it slowly picked up in frequency and severity. Soon enough It got to the point where people started showing up with powers both mutagenic and mystical in nature. With heavily crime ridden areas the pre-cursors to super-villains and super-heroes manifested, as symbols of hope and despair. At first Governments and people rejected both and actively hunted and created countermeasures but in the end, sided with the Heroes. They even started to create the facilities to train said Heroes. However there have been incidents of former countermeasures rising and villains attacking.
Power Types:
ESP: Psionic Based abilities. Telepathy, Telekinesis, and other related mental based abilities fall into this category.
Elemental: Ability to manipulate fire, water, earth air, light or darkness. level of control and ability and project their element varies.
Physical: Super Strength, speed, and other physical attributes that are far beyond the capability of normal humans.
Energy Base: Abilities that allow manipulation and projection of various energies. Usually is projected from one part of the body.
Support: Abilities involved with boosting powers of others, senses of another or wielder, speeding healing process, or other non-direct offensive or defensive capabilities.
Map:
Training Zone- A place where powers are honed as well as bodies. Arenas equipped to deal with extreme abuse from training bouts. Obstacle courses that push them pretty hard, plus stuff you would find at any normal gym and specialized equipment to improve powers and control.
Cabins- Large log cabins that can house quite a few campers inside. Gender seperate rooms with several bunk beds in the rooms. each has about four rooms, not counting bath and common area, are four, two for each gender. Councilors get their own, more personal style cabins.
Dining Hall- Another large log looking building that has a stage for announcements to be made, bunch of four sided tables with benches. Food was served almost buffet style.
Grounds- The outdoor area of the camp and surrounding woods in the walled area. while they have a few hiking areas, it's generally frowned upon to enter the woods, due to safety concerns.
Offices- Administrative, storage and nurse's office. Said nurse office is much like a small but advanced hospital.
Pool- A pool. Has diving board and slide. some shallow areas and deep ones. pretty basic really. Has suits for those without any.
Rec. Area- A building and some surrounding area with some things to do on off time to help the campers cool off a little.
Old Base Ruins- The ruins of an old military base. It seems to have been abandoned in a rush, several things were still there and a long time ago judging by the amount of forestry reclaiming it. Forbidden territory in camp rules. It is rather small in the amount of surface area it takes up as far as bases go. Plenty of underground stuff though
Abandoned Island Manor- Another forbidden zone in the middle of the lake. The place is a Gothic southern style to it and looked even at distance something real bad has went down.

"Humans resemble the Earth; harsh, beautiful, and always changing."

Age:
17

Gender:
Female

Orientation:
Panromantic Demisexual

Camper or Councilor:
Camper

Appearance:

Personality:
Dahlia is a fairly calm individual, albeit she is a bit forced to be. If she were to be extremely emotional, the nature around her would begin to reflect it. (Ex.- If she were furious, there may be intense plant growth and the sky may become stormy.) This isn't to say that she is an emotionless robot. Dahlia is quite the optimist, always seeing things through rose-colored glasses. While she may believe things are better than they really are, she will help when asked without fuss. Dahlia is definitely quiet and reserved. Many will just think of her as being shy or maybe constantly upset. She doesn't trust others very easily and worries constantly when it comes to any kind of relationship, may it be romantic or platonic.

Power:
(Elemental)
Plant/nature manipulation:
Communication+manipulation of plants, control of weather, highly emotion-based

Kryptonite:
-
Forms of pollution//pollution manipulation

-Areas with little to no nature (such as big cities)
-Things inducing strong emotion
-May not be able to generate weather effects, having limited control over existing ones.

Bio:
Growing up, Dahlia was often on her own. She didn't mind this, although it did get lonely. The girl never really socialized with anyone and became very quiet and shy. This is also why she gets so worried when handling relationships. Her parents were usually working so that they'd be able to provide for their daughter and avoid homelessness, which meant she was left home alone. Of course she did go to school when she was older, but they didn't get home until around 8:00 PM or later. Dahlia enjoyed exploring with her imaginary friend Jane, and they would adventure into the woods and travel to the lake. She never knew of her powers until one particularly upsetting day. It was the day of her father's death. He had died in a car accident on his way home from work early. Once Dahlia heard the news, she fled into the forest crying.

It was June, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. But as the young girl cried her heart out and soon became frustrated and furious, storm clouds gathered and it became windy. Brambles wrapped around trees and covered flowers. As she clenched her fists, plant stems and leaves would curl. Dahlia noticed and decided to test it out. She would raise her hand and wind would blow, thunder boomed as she thought of her father, and it began to rain as she wanted to cry.

Dahlia would go on to figure her powers out more and learned to control her emotions, but she still struggles occasionally. It is best for her to be in an abandoned area of forest when upset or experiencing any high amount of emotion, that way she won't hurt anyone (hopefully) but will be able to get it out.

Pondering between various concepts. Some may not be logical in such a futuristic setting...

... why are there log cabins in the future?

Eh for the same reason I assume they're around now: Semi-Rustic feel. plus it does have modern amenities.

{ N A M E : Colette "Discord" Oxford.

{ A G E : 16.

{ G E N D E R : Female.

{ O R I E N T A T I ON : Bisexual.

{ C A M P E R ? C O U N S E L O R ? : Camper.

artwork-female-girl-illustration-Favim.com-3114184.jpg

{ A P P E A R A N C E : Colette stands at a height of 5'3", a little on the smaller side height wise but makes up for it feminine curves. She weighs about 124 lbs, and has a decent sized chest of an almost C cup. Her hair is cut short, just above her shoulder, and is black in color. It curls just slightly, small waves that frame her face-frame, and with bangs that just barely cover her face. She has eyes that can almost be described as cat-like, and are dark blue in hue, with long lashes. Colette has pale, porcelain skin, that almost looks fake. Her mode of dress is usually slim fitting but never too revealing, and she almost always prefer black clothes in comparison to anything with color. She usually wears an assortment of jewelry on her hand, again, black in color.

{ P E R S O N A L I T Y :
- Colette is cold and snobby, with a loud mouth and a quick temper. She's snarky, quick-witted, and loud-mouthed, and always has her nose up-turned when she looks down on others. She's very opinionated, but pessimistic, and will have no problem calling others out on their 'head in the clouds' bullshit. She's quick to start arguments but makes sure she's always the one to finish them, and is way too stubborn to take no for an answer. She's ambitious to the point where it's almost arrogant, once she sets her eyes on something, it's almost impossible to deter her from her path. She doesn't care how many toes she has to step on to get there, either. She's selfish and reckless, she does not care if she burns the little bridges she has as long as she gets to her destination. Also manipulative, she will do anything to get what, or who, she wants. But, she's not completely heartless. It's very, very hard to get on her good side, but she's very protective of those who have managed to get through her thorny, cold exterior.

{ P O W E R : ESP.
- Colette can manipulate things on will; whether this be levitating objects, or throwing them across rooms without laying a finger on them.
- Further more on the 'manipulation of objects', she can crush/condense/explode things. Such as crushing a pillar, condensing a car, or exploding glass. She cannot use this ability on organic objects. (meaning she can't explode somebody's head off).
- Colette can manipulate the minds of others, put them in an almost trance like state, get information, etc. This ability takes a lot from her mentally, although it is her strongest asset, and she wishes to work on it further. The stronger the mind of the person, the hardest it is to control them. She has yet to use this ability.

{ K R Y P T O N I T E S :
Since her powers are strong, it makes sense that her kryptonites are equally as strong. Her abilities come from her mind; to break her powers, you need to break her head.
- Loud noises. Not in the sense of truck engines, but things such as dog whistles. High pitched screams. It gives her blistering migraines, and if you break her concentration, she can't use her powers. The louder and higher frequency of the noise, the more likely you're going to cause her to black out.
- Messing with her mentally/her emotions. The more distraught she is, the weaker/uncontrolled her abilities become.
- Mental illnesses, once her mind is shot, she's done.

{ B I O :
- Colette was born in Lancashire, England, to an upper class family living in a poor town. Her father held a position of power in politics, and her mother was often cheating with other men while her father buried himself in his work. Colette was left with no attention, save for her classmates and the servers that had to cater to her.
Her parents spoiled her rotten to keep her occupied, not that she minded it all too much. All she had to do was cry and get what she wanted, especially in public. As long as she appeared good for her father's line of work, her parents were happy for her.

At the age of ten, it all changed. Her father had been shot through the head by an unknown assassin, most likely someone who had thought they were doing the greater good for the nation. With her father gone, their income was, well, also fleeting, most of her father's life insurance money going to her mother's expensive lifestyle tastes. In only a few months her mother remarried, and life was only getting so much worse from there.

She was thirteen when her powers first surfaced; a fight with her mother that eventually led to the shattering of glass-- including the windows. Her mother had been hurt, but not killed, but claimed her child to be the devil. (after all, her daughter had just exploded a window.) She called the police, who assumed the woman was having some sort of melt down. Word spread quickly that the late Francis Oxford's wife was having a crazy melt-down, and the news seemed to be all over the drama that was Colette's life.

She was taken into police care until the government stepped in, claiming they had just the place for a girl like Colette; if she was actually a devil child, of course. Soon, she found herself in camp with a bunch of other 'freaks' like her, and it wasn't long before she began to learn to control her special 'devil child' abilities.

{ T H E M E :

@daird how's your car coming along?

I would join, but right now I'm fairly stressed out right now and can't bring myself to join a new RP, sorry.

Name: Molly Malone

Age: 16

Gender: female

Sexuality: Bi

Camper

Appearance: Tall and lanky, with fair skin, red hair, and green eyes.

Powers: Elemental-wind. Her fine control over the wind is excellent, even to the point where she can fly using it, but she doesn't have a lot of raw power.

Kryptonite: Enclosed spaces. Not only does she not have a lot of air to work with, she's claustrophobic, too!

Personality: Molly's defining trait is her smartass nature. She'll never pass up an opportunity to mouth off to anyone. She also has a tendency to act dumb, but don't be fooled.

Bio: Not much to tell, honestly. Grew up middle-class New York. Discovered she had the power to manipulate the air at a young age. Practiced in secret, but knows that she needs to become much better if she wants to become a top-flight hero.

Hmm....maybe contained spaces and the like? basically places or things that aren't conducive, nasty side effects or things that shut down their powers is what I think of with the Kryptonite category.

Ah know the feeling. hell approaching the finals for my summer class.

Yvette "Psiion" Caliber

Age: 16

Gender: female

Orientation: bi

Camper or Councilor: camper

Appearance: Psiion is a girl of 5'5" with messily cut bluish-white hair, pale skin and blue eyes. She dresses like a pop star and had always sports a pair of headphones and either her phone or IPod and is always listening to music.

Personality: Yvette is a spunky sort of girl that is absolutely in love with music, mostly songs that have you dance around. She hates her given name, so she made up a name for her to go by. She is fun and sweet and a firecracker all rolled into one person. Sadly, underneath all this happiness, Psiion is truly a sad and scarred girl that fears her powers.

Power: Energy Blasts in the form of rings that she can whip out after a small bit of concentration. She can also utilize this by making her body loose and moving in fluid motions when doing an all body ring.

Kryptonite: As she has energy based attacks, Psiion has to have complete control of it otherwise others will get hurt. She also cannot seem to handle the cold very well so anyone with ice type powers can easily distract her with the cold.

Bio: Yvette Caliber was born to a rich music family. Her father was a big time music producer and her mother was an opera singer. She was an only child and was loved by her parents very much. They never spared the rod when she got into trouble and always tried to make as much time for her as possible. Sadly, this happy family life was cut short when her powers activated at the tender age of fourteen.
She and her parents were in their private jet when it happened. Yvette was dancing around with her headphones plugged into her IPod when, through her bodies movements, three rings of energy formed around her and were sent flying around the jet, causing it to crash and kill everyone except for her, who was thrown into a parachute by her mother, who was alive before the impact took her when she couldn't hang on to her daughter and the parachute for long.
Yvette was sent to live with her aunt and uncle for half a year before she was shipped off to camp when her gift was discovered by her aunt.

Theme:

Other: her nickname is pronounced as "Scion". She doesn't know why she chose that name other than the fact that it sounded cool.
