Dairen blinked at Robert's sudden outburst, but didn't comment on it. They were wasting time. "Chiron, where has Dara last been sighted?"

Chiron sighed. "I'm afraid that she was last seen heading to the Pegasus stables. One of the Pegasi are gone, and we have not a single idea where she went."

That was all Robert needed to know. He dashed towards the stables, not wanting to waste anymore time chit-chatting. The conversation from the night before played over and over again. He had a older brother feel for him, that he felt responsible for her disappearance. As far as he knew, he was the last person to have contact with her before her disappearing act.

"Hold on!" Dairen ran after Robert, trying to stop the son of Ares to talk some sense into him. He stopped in front of him, blocking his way. "Wait Robert. We need to discuss where to look first. Rushing into this is a bad idea."

Robert grunted, fists ready to fly.

"Chiron said she was seen heading towards the stables, and this morning, one of the Pegasi were found missing! What else am I supposed to believe?" He tried to side step Dairen. The son of Artemis wasn't going to stop him this time.

Dairen met him with his strides. He wasn't going to let Robert go head-first into this. "Where do you plan to go first? New York city? San Francisco? Camp Jupiter?"

Robert hadn't thought about it, but it didn't matter. He was going to find her, with or without Dairen's help.

He got to the stables and picked a random Pegasus. He had ridden one before, so he didn't need a saddle. He felt someone else approach but he didn't look to see who it was.

Dairen felt a rare anger boil in his veins. He walked up to where Robert was mounting on his pegasus in determined strides and stopped short in front of him. "Look Robert, as much as you want to help, you don't know Dara well enough to look for her alone. You can't find her if you don't listen to me." The son of Artemis paused to keep his frustration in check before continuing. "Don't do this Robert, you won't be helping anybody running into these situations without any sort of idea where she's located."

Robert looked away from Dairen. He was right. He had no idea where she had gone. She could be anywhere. Dairen had also dated Dara for a while, so he did have a closer edge to her whereabouts.

Robert sighed. "Where do you suppose she went then? We need to find her, and soon."

Inwardly sighing with relief, Dairen felt the sudden throb of anger fade from his chest, rational thoughts ruling his mind once again. He didn't know what he would've done if Robert hadn't listened to him and rode off into the sunset on a pegasus towards a random location. By then it would've been too late, for Dara could be anywhere on the whole planet by the time the son of Ares finishes looking in New York.

But before Dairen could utter a single word about the most likely location of his friend, his mind suddenly turned on like a light-bulb.

'If Dara is using a pegasus to get to where she's going, then finding the one true pegasus wouldn't be such a bad idea!' Dairen thought with enthusiasm. Since the pegasi are connected to Pegasus physically (remember in BOO all pegasi can feel the wounds of Pegasus?) then why not mentally.

This had to work.

"We need to find Pegasus, the lord of all pegasi." Dairen told Robert. "He will know where Dara's pegasus is located, and with that information we can find Dara as well."

With the thought of finding Pegasus, Robert's mind flew to a certain girlfriend of his who happens to be a daughter of Poseidon.

"Crystal. She could talk to the Pegasus and understand what he is saying. She could be our translator." He jumped off the back of his Pegasus. Before he took off towards the beach, he looked at Dairen for approval. "Come on Dairen! It's either her or Percy!" Robert tried to plead with his eyes. He wanted Crystal to come more than anything, but he had to get Dairen's approval first.

Dairen sighed, knowing it was no use. "Fine, she can come." Then his mind turned to concern when it landed on a certain son of Hades. "But who will look after Nico when Crystal's gone?"

"Oh." Yet again, Robert didn't think ahead. "Well," Robert sighed. "we can bring him too then. Then someone could keep you company." Robert ran out of the stables before Dairen could respond. He dashed towards the sea, his heart leaping at the thought of Crystal with him.

Dairen jumped when Robert suddenly took off, heading towards the sea at full-speed. Shaking his head with a slight smile on his face, he followed the son of Ares at a more leisurely pace. The son of Artemis was sure Nico would be with Crystal. Though his boyfriend won't admit it, he has been lonely for a very long time. He was sure that Nico had his fill of alone time for a while, and needed at least the knowing presence of another human.

'What was it like being alone for so long?' Dairen wondered in his thoughts. 'How did he cope with it?'

As he drew nearer to the beach, Dairen was certain of one thing: he was going to give his boyfriend so much attention he will never feel lonely ever again.

'Maybe it is a good idea to bring Nico along the search for Dara.' The son of Artemis concluded.

Robert found Crystal and Nico still on the beach. They seemed to be having a conversation about something, but it was interrupted when Robert snuck up behind Crystal and lifted her, spinning her in the air. She giggled with delight as she spun around.

When they stopped spinning, Robert turned her towards him.

"Did you find her?" Crystal's face showed concern for Dara's disappearance.

"No," Robert admitted. "but you're going to help. We need you to talk to Pegasus, the Pegasus. It's either you or Percy, and I chose you." Robert saw her face light up with pride, a feeling that she looked so much more attractive to Robert when it shined on her face.

Nico suppressed the feeling of disappointment when Robert interrupted his talk with Dara. They had been having so much fun and he hadn't felt so relaxed with other people in such a long time. He learned so many things about Crystal that he never knew before.

'I guess its back to being the 3rd wheel.' The son of Hades thought sadly.

But before he could get any more lonely, a familiar voice called out his name. "Nico!" Dairen ran up to the son of Hades, the usual serious expression firmly planted onto his face. But those forest-green eyes Nico adored so much sparkled with so many emotions as it landed on him.

He didn't expect the son of Artemis to peck him on the cheek.

"I changed my mind." Dairen breathed. "You're coming with us to help bring Dara home."

Crystal felt useful for once. She had a job to do that no one but one other person could do, and that was her brother.

"I'll do it." Crystal looked into the depths of his gleaming bronze eyes, loosing herself in their glory. She found herself smiling without realizing it. Robert did the same. Before she knew it, Robert's lips gently against hers. Her arms automatically rapped around his neck as she felt his hands find her waist.

"This couldn't be a better moment!" Crystal thought to herself.

Nico felt his cheeks go red, which the son of Hades wished he could control. He turned away to hide his embarrassment. "Whatever Dairen."

The younger demigod didn't see Dairen's arms until it was too late.

"Thank you." The son of Artemis whispered in his ear, sending a shiver down Nico's spine. His arms had brought Nico closer to his side, which he couldn't help but blush ever more to. He couldn't ever remember Dairen being this touchy before, so why is he being like this?

Crystal felt Robert rubbing her back with his hands, soothing her ache for the absence of Robert because of his mission to find Dara.

She slowly lifted her hands to his hair, running her fingers through their silky feel.

"For what?" Nico asked. He didn't understand Dairen's behavior at the slightest. It was nice to be close to him, but they've recently been cuddle monsters so he could understand if Dairen needs some space. But why is he becoming even more cuddly?

The son of Artemis slightly pulled his head away to look into Nico's eyes. "For being brave."

Nico stared. What was that supposed to mean?

"You confessed your feelings for me." Dairen explained. "Even though the last time you confessed to someone it didn't go so well."

"Well you aren't a kelphead like Percy." Nico murmured.

"Yet you still were pretty shaken up by Percy's reaction to your feelings." Dairen pointed out.

"I don't know what your talking about." Nico retorted. In truth he did, but the son of Hades didn't want to admit to his weakest moment scaring the Hades out of him.

Dairen ignored what the younger demigod said and buried his face into the crook of Nico's neck. "Never mind then." The son of Artemis gave up his attempts and hugged Nico closer instead.

Robert pulled away slowly, savoring the moment on his lips. He looked Crystal in the eyes, her sea-green eyes shining like stars at him.

"Let's go find Dara." Robert took her hand and started back to the stables with his girlfriend.

Without glancing back, Robert yelled "Come on love birds! Time's a wasting!"
