Angel let out a growl before shifting back, crossing her arms over her chest, "Of course I don't think you care, your emotions prove that you are almost incapable of caring. Almost. You can care, not that you would know what caring is." She huffed, moving so she was stood in front of Tafari and Spencer, narrowing her eyes at Jack.

She really wasn't all that scary looking, and considering the fact that Jackal was taller then her didn't help. But Angel had her ways, most of them being the fact that she knew what your next move would be just because she could sense your emotions, and (in a way) predict you actions because of that.

"
We don't know who let us out, and I really don't care. And good for you, you have further proved your lack of emotions." She paused and squinted, leaning forward slightly. Her icy blue eyes focused on Jackal, "Actually... I take that back, you do have emotions. You just don't know how to act upon them or how to decipher the good ones from the bad ones. I can sense it all, every moment of sadness or anger, every second of joy you never knew you had felt." She stood up straight and shook her head, muttering a few foreign words before stepping past Jackal and starting to walk, glancing back at Tafari and Spencer.

"
Let's go, I have a herd to get back too..."

Tafari kept his eyes on Jackal as he and Spencer walked by. The man hated him for murdering someone, and he could guess who. It had been an accident, and brought back painful memories. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. He kept Spencer on the far side, expecting the man to attack him, but he didn't. The man probably knew it would be foolish to try, Tafari could snap him like a twig.

His head turned to look at the group when they started to walk away. The girl had a fiery spirit, that would get her in trouble in the future. And of course he had emotions. Hate and anger were the two biggest, along with contempt. He could act on those quite well. As for the others, why would he need them? If they showed it was very fleeting. Plus, he liked not having to worry or care or fear what might happen. It was a freedom. Speaking of freedom, that was not something they would be getting. He smiled and called out to them. "This area may be large, but it is surrounded by a fence. A quite shocking one at that." Laughter followed his words as he turned and walked away.

Spencer shuddered at the laugh, but it was the words that left him feeling cold. A fence that is quite shocking.. "An electric fence." He spoke the words in disbelief. How would they get through that? An ordinary fence they could climb. They could even work around barbed wire, but electricity? "That man was lying, right?" He asked Angel.

Angel glared at Jackal as he left, her icy blue eyes burning into his back, but eventually she turned her eyes away from him and to Spencer. They softened almost instantly and she walked over to him and Tafari, wrapping an arm around his shoulder in a side hug,
"Hey, even if the fence is electric we'll get out. We all have our own talents that could help, and for all we know the fence might break down for no reason, or we could find a hidden box with some controls in." She gave a grin, making sure to release calming and soothing emotions. It was something Kanjō could do to help calm friends and family, it came in handy more then it probably should.

Angel then turned her attention to Tafari, offering the dark skinned male a smile,
"I don't think you're a killer, killers tend to be bad people. And neither of you are bad, sometimes you just do what you need to do. Now let's get out of here." She gave another smile and took both of the males by the wrist, starting to walk again.

After a few moment she let go of their wrists, instead moving to stuff her hands into her hoodie pockets and hum.

Angel's words helped calm Spencer, but what helped more was the side hug she gave. That helped him instantly feel better. "You are right. Maybe this place is having an electrical malfunction. That would explain how the door opened in the first place. And even if that is not it, there will be a way to shut it down." It was nice that she also tried to help Tafari feel better, and he was thankful for that. Her hand on his wrist whisked these thoughts away, though. When she released his wrist he tried to make himself act cool, like one of those guys that always got the girl, but failed when he tripped over a large rock.

Tafari reached down, grabbed the back of Spencer's shirt, and pulled his friend back up onto his feet, then cast a look of amusement towards Angel. The words she had spoken a few moments earlier were kind, but not true. He felt remorse when he killed the man on accident, but when he snapped the guys neck only minutes ago (when he instead could have knocked him out like the others) there had been no remorse. Just an animalistic instinct and a deep calm. Maybe it was better to be an animal, more attuned to nature than humans ever could be. Live in the here and now instead of dwelling on the past or becoming lost in a future that might never come. As he walked he closed his eyes and lifted his head to the sky, and when he opened them he noticed the sky through the trees. The blues were mixing with shades of yellows, oranges, and reds. It would be night soon.

Angel glanced back at Spencer when he tripped, giggling slightly at him before slowing down so the others could catch up. She patted Spencer on the back when he got close enough, falling into step with the two again and starting look around, pulling down her hood after a moment.

Angel senced the slight shift in Tafari's emotions, glancing towards the taller male and watching him. She turned her gaze away when he opened his eyes and she glanced upwards herself. Night time colours always helped soothe her.

The Kanjō looked back to the front and stopped. Finding any way to climb over to fence was out of the question considering how tall it was. She cringed and walked forward, looking around to try and spot anything that could be linked to the fence. She held her hand close to the fence, not close enough to touch it, but close enough to feel the electricity radiating off it. It was definitely an electric fence.

Great.

She shifted and began sniffing around, her tail whipping around behind her. It smacked against a tree which let out a hallow sound that instantly made her perk up and turn to face it. Angel tapped the tree with her tail again, looking towards Tafari and Spencer with a look that read did you hear that?

Spencer stared at the fence in dismay. It was huge! There would be no way to escape unless the power was shut down. If it shut down and they could not find a gate, Tafari could just break the thing. It seemed a daunting task until he heard a sound and Angel speak. Had she found a hidden control box? Excitement overwhelmed every other emotion and he raced over to where Angel was standing. He was about start examining the tree when Tafari made a shushing sound.

Spencer looked at Tafari, confused, but then the Ethiopian pointed to his ear. Listen. He followed Tafari's instructions and listened. After a moment he thought he heard something, and a few seconds later the sound became more noticeable. Footsteps. Running towards them. "I think we should run."

Tafari barely let the words get out of Spencer's mouth before he pushed the smaller boy in a random direction, helping him to get moving. There was no way he could fight the number of people heading towards them, unless they did not have guns and that was unlikely. He looked at Angel and pointed towards Spencer. "Go." He would follow behind, and since they knew where the box might be they could always come back so long as they did not get captured.

Angel perked up instantly, her eyes darting towards the place where the footsteps seemed to be coming from. She shifted back, her eyes darting to Tafari when he spoke to her, she stood there for a second before nodding and running in the direction he had pointed in.

She caught up to Spencer easily, leaves crunching and twigs snapping under her feet as she ran, her white hair flowing out behind her. Angel glanced over her shoulder and while her gaze was only turned for a second it seemed to be enough for something to go wrong. She placed her foot down awkwardly, instantly causing pain to shoot up her leg.

The Kanjō yelped and fell over, twisting mid fall so she landed on her side as opposed to her face. More guards had ran over at this point, most of them with guns.

Spencer skidded to a stop a few feet in front of Angel. Of all the times to trip, why now? He would not admit it, but he was also surprised that he had not been the one to trip. Mark on up for him doing something right for once, too bad he could not enjoy it. The guards were too close, but he had to try to help. Just as he was going to take a step towards Angel, Tafari came running up and pushed, more like shoved, him farther into the trees. He flew a few feet, before rolling another few feet. He could feel a few scrapes, but other than that and some future bruises he was fine. He quickly got to his feet and looked the way he had come. The guards were circling around his friends. As much as he did not want to he turned and fled.

After sending Spencer farther into the trees Tafari stood next to Angel. He could not fight them, and would not try since there were no second tries for dead men. That did not mean he had to let them get close, though. He tried to keep a calm mind as the guards circled around. He did not think they would shoot, but he also did not think they would try to get close. It was a stand off, and so long as Angel was kept safe all would be well. He turned to get a look a better look at the surrounded for. As he was doing this he felt a sting in his leg. Looking down he saw some sort of dart, and the next moment he felt another one hit. It did not take long for him to feel drowsy, and as hard as he tried he could not stay on his feet. He willed his eyes not to close, he had to help keep Angel safe, but the moment he was asleep.

Angel slowly pulled herself up onto her knees, rubbing her shoulder and trying to ignore the dull throb in her ankle. Knowing her luck it was most likely sprained. Her blue eyes darted to Tafari when he collapsed, the darts having put him to sleep.

Angel gasped slightly and shuffled over to him, trying not to move her bad ankle too much, placing her pointer and middle finger on his neck to check his pulse and make sure he was actually asleep. Once the Kanjō was happy with that she turned her icy gaze towards the guards, moving closer to Tafari as she glared at them.

"What the hell do you want with us?" She let out a growl, resisting the urge to shift into her Kanjō form and charge them, god knows that would get her absolutely nowhere. No matter how tempting it did seem.

She needed to remind herself that her horns weren't that long, so naturally they wouldn't be good to use when charging people.

Angel decided to place her hand on Tafari's arm, hoping that being aware of his presence would help calm her down, it did, not by much but it was still enough.

One of the guys shrugged, as if he was just as confused as Angel. "We are only following the orders." He tilted his head, listening to the voice on the other end of his earpiece, and became even more confused. He addressed the other guards. "We take these two back, but let the other one go." He shook his head and mumbled to himself. "First allowing the experiments to escape, and now this. What is the boss thinking?" The voice boomed in his ear and he straightened up, looking like a professional, but also frightened. He spoke to Angel again. "You can either walk, or you can end up like your friend and we carry you. Your choice."

Spencer ran. His ears were tricks on him and he thought he could hear footsteps behind him. Speeding up he kept up this pace for five minutes before slowing down. He didn't want to slow down, it didn't feel safe to. Looking around he spotted a hole in the ground large enough to crawl into. His heart seemed to stop as he stared at the opening. He either stayed out here and prayed not to get caught, or crawl into the unknown darkness. Fear overtook him as he made his choice and knelt by the hole. Taking a breath he crawled in, and after a few feet it opened up into a dark cave. He was thankful to not be stuck in a small space, but the dark was not his thing. Hiding his head on his legs he closed his eyes and tried to figure out what to do.

Angel bit her lip in thought for a moment, so they had been let out on purpose. She turned her gaze to Tafari, she would've lashed out at them by now if she was by herself, but she wasn't. She had Tafari to think about as well, one wrong move could cost her both of their lives. So, instead of lashing out, she just lowered her gaze and slowly pulled herself to her feet. Making sure to glare at the guards who had pulled Tafari up.

She gave a huff and shifted, shaking her body out before starting to follow the guards back to the lab, her tail whipping about behind her as a warning to anybody who wanted to stray too close. She wouldn't hesitate to kill if she felt she needed to, it was how she had always been.

The guards led Angel and carried the sleeping Tafari back to the building and to the room they had just escaped from. The one who had spoken kept a close eye Angel. If he messed up with his orders he feared it would be the end of his life. When they reached the door to the room they had been in he took out a key card, swiped it, and pulled the door open. The guards carrying Tafari dropped him inside the room and left quickly. "Don't stand there. Get in." He told Angel, wanting to get this over with as quickly as possible.

Spencer took in deep breaths. He hated having to be alone, especially in the dark. What was he going to do about his two friends being captured? He was not strong and only acted smarter than he actually was. That guy they had met earlier said he did not care what they did..would he help? Probably not. There was most likely cameras everyone around this place, but if he had to he could try to sneak back in and open the door. Thoughts continued to run through his head, and after a little while he became wore out and fell asleep.

Angel snarled at the man and whipped her tail at him, a simple warning to watch his tongue. She trudged into the cell they had only just escaped, shifting back once she was inside and instantly going over to Tafari. She knelt down next to the hybrid, running a hand over his chest and sighing, "God I hope Spencer's okay..." She curled up not to far from Tafari, with her back to the door while she faced him. Angel sighed, closing her eyes and willing sleep to come and claim her so she could forget everything had happened.

So she could forget how close she had come to rejoining her herd.

Tafari had woken up not long after they were put back in the cell, but still feeling groggy, and knowing there was nothing he could do right now, he fell back asleep. He slept for a few more hours, and woke up feeling hungry. Taking a quick glance at Angel to make sure she was still ok he walked into the trees, looking for one that contained apples, or a bush that contained berries. He found the former and picked an armload. With his arms full he headed back over to Angel and dropped a dozen apples. He had picked extra since he figured she might be hungry after waking up.

During the night Spencer had went from a sitting position to laying on the cold ground. He blinked open his eyes. There was nothing but darkness, but when he turned his head he could see light filtering from the hole he had come in from. He crawled into it and, after checking to make sure no one was there, stepped into the light.

It felt nice being out of the dark cave, but he had still not come up with any good plans to rescue Tafari and Angel. Sighing he began walking in a random direction. It was going to take him forever to even find the building. He walked for close to a half and hour before stopping in a small clearing. Hadn't he passed through this before? He had a bad feeling he was going in circles. Before he could do anything else he heard the warning click of a gun. Putting his hands up he slowly turned around.
