Declan shrugged "as I said before, it might do you good.. It's some sort of regaining control."
Max dropped a glass and stepped back "D-D-Dec!"
Declan sprung up and looked at him "yeah what's wrong?"
Max stood frozen, as a man walked in they both remembered all too well.
As he got closer to Max, Declan walked over "sir, you have no permission to get behind the bar."
He got ignored and repeated himself, this time louder than before "YOU HAVE NO PERMISSION TO GET BEHIND THE BAR."
Still no response from the man, but he was awfully close to Max by now.
Declan sighed, walked up to him grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back "You! Outside.."
The guy looked at him surprised "NOW!" He continued as he pushed him "FASTER, we haven't got all day!"
The guy tried to get passed that Declan, but every try failed "I'm not playing, Roger. Get the fuck out. He doesn't want you anywhere near him!"
The guy gave Max one last look before turning around, Declan close behind.
Max look at the floor "Fuck.. I gotta clean this.. I gotta clean this up.."
He started cleaning, tears in his eyes.
Declan didn't come back for about half an hour.. When he did, he was escorted by two officers, his nose was bleeding, he had some cuts on his face and his eye was swollen.
"What the hell happened!?"
Max was confused, but also very worried.
Declan smiled "don't worry, firecracker. Can you do me a favor? Go to time, the keys are in the office, Leila is staying there. I will be back as soon as possible, it'll only take a minute."
Max nodded and looked at Leila, then looked at Declan "Also, ladies and gentleman, I am very sorry to announce that for the night we are closed, but feel free to come back tomorrow night, we will be open until the normal time."
The cafe started to run empty, and Declan got escorted to the police station.
Max walked into the office and came out with the keys, he looked at Leila and sighed quietly "hey, come on, let's get you home."
