This technically doesn't have anything to do with the canon itself. We're just going to be playing through a run of the ritual. If they want to watch it in order to get familiar with the mechanics, that would be fine but I don't think anyone will be totally lost without seeing the movie. Though I do recommend it just because it's a fun watch.
