[warning=red]By the Hands of a God takes place in modern day France. France is the battleground of the RP, but truthfully, no one has to be from there. The majority of this RP is trying to find the other Vassals, and kill them. No one knows who is a Vassal, nor do they know where they are. It is by pure coincidence that they all ended up in the same place. This RP is based heavily on PvP actions. Players will have characters die, usually at the hands of another player. If you are not ready for your character to be brutally murdered, then DO NOT sign up. That said, You can make another character. Please bear this in mind as we play.[/warning]

By the hand of God. Often referring to a situation so impossible, so coincidental, so perfect, that it can not occur without the help of a greater being. These greater beings have power. Terrible power. And just like humans, they too fight for the supreme power. However war leads to destruction. If human quarles lead to such destruction, the wars of the Gods would be enough to end far more than the puny Earth that humans reside on. That did not stop these Divine Beings from destroying one another. Perhaps the most notable war was between Zeus and Cronus. They fought with each other face to face, causing havoc and destruction in their wake. This was the last war to be waged. After this horrid display, something had to be done. The major deities came together and devised a more... Civil plan to settle disputes. A game. Played by the Gods. Their pieces? Humanity. A contender in the game recruits a single human to be their vassel. This can be done only with the human's consent. However, a God will merely have to give them one wish, and they will obey without question. That is the greedy nature of humanity. The God then blesses his Vassal, and a contract is formed. The Vassal now has a small piece of their Contractor's power. The game ends once only one Vassal remains. He is rewarded for his efforts by his patron God, now the supreme ruler of the cosmos until defeated in the games. After the game ends the current Vassal is relieved of his contract, and the game begins anew, immediately. Normally these conflicts have little effect on the world. However there have been times where they have lead to massive wars. This is not one such occasion. This game takes place in Paris. The Vassals may come from all over the world, but they for some reason all met in Paris. You can say by... The Hands of a God

ABIDE BY THE RULES SET BY THOSE BEFORE YOU LEST YOU INVOKE THE WRATH OF PROVIDENCE

TO TAKE MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS IS TO FOREVER FORFEIT YOUR RIGHT TO RULE

SHOULD TWO MORTALS FIGHT IN YOUR NAME ALONGSIDE ONE ANOTHER, THEN NONE SHALL PRAISE THY NAME FOREVERMORE

LAY HARM UPON ANOTHER GOD AND PROVIDENCE SHALL RETURN THE FAVOR TEN-FOLD

WHEN THE SOLE MORTAL STANDS, AND THE OTHERS HAVE FALLEN, TO THE VICTOR THE THRONE IS AWARDED AND THE GAMES BEGIN ANEW

The Games
When the recent Ruler of the Heavens is challenged, the Games begins. Each contender selects one human to be their Vassal, and serve as their champion. In return, the Human is promised a single wish to be fulfilled. These games have been going on for centuries. Sometimes, they result in massive continental wars that ravage the entire Earth. Other times, they are but small skirmishes don't even leave the slightest scratch on a quaint little village.
Gods do not refer to beings of worship necessarily. Often times they are those who are most well known. However, an angelic follower of Jehovah, or a Demonic Disciple of Ashura are allowed to participate in the Games.
Now as with all games, there is a winner and a loser. Now what decides the winner of The Games? Simple. The last champion alive claims glory for his Patron, and will receive their reward. There is no hope for the Vassals who lose their lives. Such is the price they pay for the chance to have their ultimate wish realized.

Games have rules, and breaking the rules has consequence. This applies even to this Game. Should the rules be broken, Providence will be the one to issue the penalty. It is sad to say that the champion of the God will likely perish in this process, but it is a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things.
The rules of The Games are very strict. Yet... They are literal. Providence shall only smite those who do not follow the rules of The Games, but Providence has no interpretation on the rules. They are exact to him, and he shall only execute his duty when the they are not followed. Due to the nature of these rules, many Gods find loopholes to give them an unfair edge.

Allocating Stat
Each player will have 20 points to allocate as they see fit for each of the six stats. Each of the stats will affect combat situations mainly. There will be occasions where it may be used outside, but not often. Here are the stats and what they do.
- Health: How much punishment you can take in total.
-Fortitude: Impacts the damage dealt to you, physical or magical.
- Strength: Impacts the damage of melee attacks/skills, as well as the hit rate of heavy melee attacks/skills.
- Dexterity: Impacts dodge rate, as well as hit rate of non-heavy melee attacks/skills. Also affects stealth
-Faith: Impacts the damage of magical attacks/skills, as well as the hit rate of magical attacks/skills
-Perception: Determines one's ability to sense the world around them, natural or supernatural.
Creating Skills
Each player will have the freedom to develop four skills as they see fit. The only real "requirement" is that each skill follows the "theme" of the God that the Vassal is under. I reserve the right to nerf(or buff) skills as I see fit, so please be willing to discuss this with me, should the need arise.
