Broken Trust

((It's fine, I wasn't expecting that much anyway. ^_^;))

"Hmph," Shiro snorted derisively. He said nothing more as he tugged Alina out of the building, eager to get out of there before he said or did anything that gave him away. He always was sort of paranoid about that sort of thing. Then again, he was paranoid about a lot of things.

He waited until they were outside and had enough people between them and the entrance for the secretary to not be able to see or hear them, and let go of Alina's wrist. With a small sigh, he relaxed and started leading her through town, towards the outskirts. "Any ideas on where I should leave him?" he asked her, still using Roberto's voice. He didn't want to be too specific, lest someone overhear them and think he was talking about murder or something. Which, of course, he might just be soon enough, if this went over well...

Alina made no resistance as she was lead out of the building, since she was sure that as Shiro he might use force to keep her going because of the invisible contract that they now had. She had no choice, like it had always been, so why bother? But eventually he let go of her wrist, but probably only because he knew she wouldn't run off- how could she? She was unfamiliar with the area, and if she ran away the authorities would just return her to Rob, AKA Shiro. It was the perfect plan, so she got surprised when he asked her the question.

Did he mean murder? Maybe when he outlasted his 'usefulness' Shiro would get rid of him, but why ask her? Then again, it probably wouldn't be all that easy to tell anyone that a transparent, white-haired man with red eyes just killed another man, was it a warning to her? Telling her that he could do the same to her? "Um... I don't know." Alina said with a bit of awkwardness, not exactly wanting to get involved in murder since she was sure that if it went wrong he'd blame it on her, and the last thing she needed was criminal charges as well.

"Hm," Shiro hummed, unaware of the real reason behind Alina's discomfort. He'd been referring to where he might leave Roberto's body once Shiro was finished possessing him, so he just figured she wasn't sure and was nervous about speaking her mind. Or something like that. "I shouldn't simply hold onto him," Shiro said, thinking aloud, "or people will wonder where he's gone, obviously..."

As the two of them walked along under the rays of sunlight beating down on them, Shiro glanced around the crowd. He could still spot a few mages here and there with relative ease; they weren't really that hard to notice when you knew what to look for. "See that woman?" he asked Alina, pointing to a pedestrian wandering the streets a fair distance away from them. "See how she looks strangely comfortable in the heat?" Just as he said that, a man bumped into the person Shiro had pointed out, and as he quickly muttered his apology, it almost looked like he was shivering from some cold that no one else could feel. "The woman has a spell of ice around her to keep her cool. Mages like her are all around you, if you know where to look."

Alina continued to stay silent as they walked. Even if his intents weren't as bad as she first suspected, she was still unsure as to where they could leave him. An abandoned alleyway or steps under the shade, maybe? And would he just resume his anger once Shiro was done with him, or maybe he'd just be too tired from the experience to bother, since she felt disoriented once she gained control again.

She looked at who he was pointing to, a woman that she wouldn't have cared for otherwise, nor noticed how comfortable she looked among everyone else. However, she did notice the man that bumped into, and he suddenly shivered as if he felt some sort of cold in the heat. Apparently, as Shiro explained, she had an ice spell around her to keep her cool. Something like that would certainly be convenient, especially if you were wearing a black dress that you only kept on because of your stubborn fashion choices. Through small motions, she too could spot other mages... was she herself one now? Then again, she only knew a flimsy invisibility spell, it'd probably be seen as arrogant to claim such a title now.

While she did maintain her deadpan expression, she couldn't help but look around a bit, trying to spot some small abnormalities, and then doubting if it was just her mind playing tricks on her. This man might have just been playing tricks on her.
