My sextimes playlist was a rousing success (for me anyway 8D) so I thought I would update my breakup/heartbreak playlist this week, since you guys turned me on to so many awesome new music I hadn't heard before!

What are you favorite songs about breakups, hurting hearts, and waaaaah my love is gone?

The last one is probably the best 'bawl your eyes' out song ever written. Seriously, I get depressed just listening to it, and I'm not even close to breaking up with anyone. =/

Nothing sucks more than failing to pick up on an opportunity. Self doubt, Distance, or just being at the different points in your lives that things just don't work out. Regrets and the lament of what could have been if things just played out different. Good heartbreak songs capture that haunting feeling and I got some that still rattle about my head when I think about "What If".

I find it difficult to find just the right song from Cat Power, but if you want a voice that can make you feel sad, well, check her stuff out.

A pretty commonly covered and fairly old song here, but this woman nails it.
