The pain seems to be growing, even as the woman helped support him. He grumbled something under his breath, shook his head then croaked something out: "To the east where Ra is split by Horus's eye." He gestured in the general direction, hoping Nanu would find his way home soon enough. The camel certainly was smart enough to do so.

He urged her on, trudging through the sand trying to keep his focus off the pain.

Te woman smelled like his mother almost. The same smell that the palace held. It hurt to think about but it numbed his physical pain.

It took about fifteen minutes for them to reach the rock he had described. A shadow was cast behind it and it was in that shadow that Khalid pulled away from the woman to brush his hands in the sand. The ground shook momentarily, light illuminating the shade before it split open to reveal a pair of stairs that disappeared into the darkness. "Come...please." He couldn't make the trip by himself. That much he knew.
