The chilly morning wind brushed against the skins of each student and guard that were present within the transportation bus, the winter’s air causing a shiver to run down Sumire’s spine. After an hour’s bus ride in one direction, she could hear the brakes creek as the vehicle slowed to a stop; the momentum behind it nearly making her bump into the seat in front of her. The weights of the cuffs keeping her hands and ankles together made the entire ride all the more difficult for her to sit up straight; she supposed it was to keep anyone from being too comfortable.

She and her classmates had been rounded together into a single juvenile detention center, some being transported from a different country just for this opportunity of redemption. They arrived at the jail with nothing but the clothing on their backs, which were promptly confiscated and traded for short-sleeved black and white jumpers. Only one recorded phone call home before they would be ordered to get moving. No technology, no books, no anything to entertain themselves during the trip. Not that it mattered in the end.

When the guards had guided everyone to the bus and sat them all down, each person was blindfolded then had some sort of wristband put on them and activated. Sumire assumed it was to track their whereabouts, and the blindfolds were to keep them from knowing which direction to go should they escape. Not wanting to ask too many questions to the wrong guard, she kept quiet.

The occasional crushing of dirt under the tires, taps of a screen, and the whirr of the bus’s motor were the only noises to accompany Sumire and her classmates during the travel. Any attempt of conversation with whoever was seated next to them was promptly shot down by the guards aboard. The teenagers couldn’t talk amongst one another, only twiddle their thumbs and look at nothing but darkness.

Then, one by one, two guards moved around the bus, undoing and removing the blindfolds. Sumire’s eyes hurt the second they were exposed to the early morning light, but there wasn’t much time to recover.

The commanding officer yells at them to get off the bus, the other guards that had been on board assisting each student off the vehicle and into the building, where they had been waiting for them.

They were all taken into the mess hall, each student standing side by side to each other where a masked man was standing in front of them with a packet of papers in his hand and his staff next to him. He had silver hair, medium lengthed but styled. He was tall, looking to stand about 6 feet and muscular. He wore a white button-up with a black tie, dress pants, and shoes to match.

The people next to them wore their own masks, each person with different parts of their heads and faces revealed.

Mika was anxious, though remained calm and collected. She had seen every students’ files. She knew them like the back of her hand. Their background? She didn’t care. Their quirks? Names? Age? Everything in the folders given to them to review, she had memorized it.

She and her coworkers had been warned about the students’ arrivals 20 minutes ago, and from there, each of them had to prepare mentally and physically. All in case one of them tried something stupid.

She was expecting insults or back talk from the teenagers. It was only natural one of them would try to test the waters or assert their dominance.

The Headmaster’s emotions were difficult to predict. He had on a blank mask, with nothing but the basic human features sculpted into the beautifully crafted material. His body language did not speak distaste, nor did it express joy. The man was merely a presence in within the small group of people.

He didn’t want these teenagers to get an idea of what to expect from him. Young as they may be, they were still emotionally driven. They were unpredictable. Worked without a plan, and if they did have one, they rarely stuck with it. If they learned where he stood on a threat level, they would begin to behave accordingly. He hated predictability. He wanted to see just what these teenagers were going to do once they began showing their true colors.

“Welcome to the Juvenile Rehabilitation Academy or JRA for short. Since none of us have all day, let’s just get through this.”

He flipped through the papers, “At this academy, you will receive the proper education, growth, and guidance to assist you to become a better person. These tools are privileges, not rights, and thus, these tools can be revoked if the staff decides that it is best for the student work on their character through physical labor rather than a classroom.”

Headmaster flipped through more pages. “Students are required to follow the commands of the staff and officers present on the premises. If a student is shown to be troubled or rebellious, the teacher assigned as their overseer will be granted to administer a controlled shock via the Student Tracker and Regulator wristband until the student behaves.

The Student Tracker and Regulator wristbands you wear are a tracking device that works as a Quirk regulator and taser. If you try to escape, you will receive a high voltage shock. If you use your Quirk without permission, you will receive a shock. If you do anything stupid or against the academy’s rules, you will receive a shock.”

He flipped through more pages quickly, passed the history of the wristbands. “Student progress is monitored carefully with a point system. The fewer points you have, the more privileges you will receive. The more you have, the higher your restrictions. Everyone starts at 3 points, which is regular treatment. I will not tell you how many points are too many, but I will say that if you receive enough points, you will be expelled from the academy and forced to serve your sentence in prison. No more opportunities, no third chances.”

More pages, “You will all have the same schedules, so get used to everyone’s faces. The uniforms you receive can be customized to a certain degree. Don’t alter it to the point you look like a hooker or you will receive punishment and uniform customization will no longer be an option. Don’t ruin it for everyone else.”

Headmaster pointed towards a small caged in an area within one of the walls. “Over there is your shop. With the money you earn or have wired in, you can purchase snacks, hygienic products, and etcetera. It, like the classroom, is a privilege. If you abuse the shop owner physically or verbally or use the shop when you do not have permission, the shop will lock up for good and you will have to request your teachers the supplies you want or need.”

“You will receive a room and a roommate, which have already been chosen for you. In your rooms, you will find uniforms per your measurements. You are allowed to personalize the room, but like the uniforms, the privileges can be revoked if contraband is found in your room. A list of contraband items will be on your wall when you enter.”

Headmaster once again flipped through the pages until he stopped. “The only physical interaction a student may have is a brief touch to the arm. No hugging, kissing, or hands where the guards can’t see them. If students are found to be engaging in physical or sexual interactions/altercations, the people involved will receive appropriate punishment. Students who are biologically female who engaged in sexual activity with a biological male will be sent to the medical office where the staff will do what they must to prevent the possibility of pregnancy. Don’t get pregnant. Anything else, you'll figure it out.”

He closed the packet before asking. “Any questions?”

To say Reese had not intended to be caught was an understatement, her whole criminal career she had always made sure to be careful, either backing up small time crooks or doing minor work for unscrupulous companies, but her last job had been so good... The pay was more than she needed and would possibly even have gotten her out of crime... For a time at least, she was pretty sure her parents felt physical pain at every crime she committed... Not that their approval rate was that high beforehand anyway.
Though even she regretted the last one, the death had not been part of the plan, and she felt a slight pang of guilt, and of course being crushed by rubble hadn't been fun, as well as getting caught there were a lot of awkward questions and pain, well, at least that part was over and she had a chance to get back on the streets.

She had briefly considered trying something on the bus, but still weak from her injuries (which she suspected was intentional) and never having been left with anything she could shake apart, the girl had decided to wait and watch, and maybe hope some of her fellow 'students' would have a quirk more suited to busting out of wherever they stuck her, maybe they'd even stick around till they got to safety?
Of course her plans were pretty quickly ruined once the purpose of those wristbands was explained, she felt like a single shock might be manageable, but with her quirk she would receive constant shocks while trying to escape, no, it seemed she would need to find a way around the punishments first...
She did wonder who they would room her with... Hopefully they would be someone useful, or at least open minded.

At the request for questions she had to think, on one hand, she didn't want to draw any more attention than she was almost certainly going to already, and possibly have the staff keep a closer eye on her actions, but on the other hand... She was going to be in an enclosed space with a number of other criminals, and there was a decent chance at least one of them was a violent psychopath.
"I have one... What happens if one of us get hurt? Or the bands get wrecked in a fight?"

Arrietty spoke in her native tongue, in a pitch lower than her normal voice. It was dark, serious. It was the tone that invited chills to run down a spine, the voice she used when she was threatening someone. “I want to make it perfectly clear to the both of you, and this message better reach the both of you, what I turned out to be could have been different. I am a product of my environment. I wouldn’t change my personality, for I love myself and my witty ways. I needed something though, something I would could never be provided by the two of you and the family. So I did what I wanted to do, my actions are because of you both. If I am fully rehabilitated, like they plan for me to be, then I have my own plans. To never see the two of you again.”

Message done, sent to her father’s phone who had a tendency to never answer, filled with plenty of heart and love.

Chill air, her spine spiked with the pain of it. A bus waiting to take her to her new stop on her world tour. “Merdeshit. She whispered under her breath as a blindfold was placed around her eyes. Without being able to see she couldn’t do anything, of course, that wasn’t the only precaution they had taken. Arrietty should have known right away as the wristband was placed that they would take every precaution possible to keep the ‘delinquents’ from using their Quirks. Of course, this wouldn’t be revealed until later.

J'en ai ral le cul.I'm so fucking fed up. Arrietty responded as they were yelled at to get off the bus, none of these guards better touch her as she left the bus or she would lose it already.

When they arrived at the mess hall Arrietty took a moment to examine her fellow students. She wanted to get a read off of them, she hoped there would be time later to get to know each of their crimes. Find the one with the worst crime of all and decide from there how she wanted to make her plays.

As the rules were read she wondered how much french any of these freak covered masked teachers knew. Her mind wandered different places, only slightly listening to the rules of her new home. Rules were for those who didn’t have common sense or know how to sneak past them. Luckily for Arrietty, she believed she had plenty of common sense and some persuasion.

Arrietty had no questions, but gladly would listen to questions of her fellow delinquents.

Yoshiyuki, Aichi
It wasn't supposed to be like this. Ever since he could remember, Aichi had wanted to grow up to be a hero. The kind of person who risked his own life to save others. To be a beacon of hope and happiness to his peers and everyone everywhere. Obviously, that hadn't really panned out. The bus was indeed uncomfortable, and even being placed upon it with the restrictive cuffs on both his wrists and ankles was quite unpleasant. Of course, he understood why, but the harsh treatment still bothered him, and in a small measure, even frightened him. Aichi never imagined being in this kind of situation. Why had he gone along with all of Sosuke's ridiculous plans? What possessed him to believe his "friend's" words all of these years to the point that he would willingly perform those illegal activities? A heavy sigh escaped the brown haired boy's mouth as the other students were loaded onto the bus along with him. Once everyone was seated, he took a quick chance to look among his peers. Each of these people had been found guilty of various crimes. How many of them had done things as bad as him? How many had done worse things? How many were actually innocent? Questions for later, of course. One of the guards began blindfolding all the students, prompting a sudden gulp from Aichi. This was the kind of stunt that military police would do to prevent their prisoners from memorizing directions to secure locations.

Aichi's instincts told him to keep his mouth shut, but the shiver creeping up his spine and the psychosomatic need to break his tension was too strong. A smile crossed his lips as he watched one of the guards blindfolding a female prisoner. "You know, I always thought police officers were the super strict type. Wasn't expecting this kind of kinky behavior from you guys."

A quiet chuckle escaped him during and after his statement. Of course, he immediately regretted his decision as one of the guards near him struck him in the head. "Shut the hell up! Is this a joke to you?"

Aichi groaned in pain, wishing he could rub the spot where he was hit. As usual, his pain was obvious, and his instincts also told him to hide that vulnerability and show these people that he wasn't afraid of them. Not really. "I mean, it kind of is, yeah. Keep hitting me like that and it can be whatever you want it to be, big guy." Another satisfied laugh through the stinging in his skull, as well as a groan of frustration from the guard through gritted teeth. They really hated this kind of thing. The guard hit him again.

"I said shut up!" This time, Aichi winced in pain and looked back at the guard with a grin, his face still grimacing from the pain with one eye closed, chuckling as the guard put his blindfold on. From there, the trip went pretty quick. The young man had somehow managed to actually doze off during the bus trip, making it incredibly fast. A shouting guard woke him up once they had arrived, and all of the students piled off of the uncomfortable hunk of mobile metal. In a few minutes they were all standing together in a line, facing a fairly broad man wearing a mask. The look he had, in of his body language and that blank mask, was rather intimidating. His suit was nice, and considering this just screamed introduction, Aichi assumed this fellow was the head of this institution. "Hey, cool mask! Can I get one too?!"

Aichi immediately grimaced after he shouted out before any of the other students had managed to speak. It wasn't exactly uncommon for him to uncomfortably blurt out things. This damned nervous habit of making jokes was going to get him knocked out in this place, but, it was something he had a very hard time helping. None of the rules the man whom introduced himself as "Headmaster" had been the least bit surprising. This place was still supposed to be a form of punishment. it wasn't like the actual hero schools. Still, it irked him in no small matter how strict this place clearly was, and how much the attitude was against them. Yet, that stinging sensation of guilt clung to his heart, and Aichi could understand why things were the way they were here. That didn't stop him from wishing it could be better, however. Now that he was able to contain himself from shouting out, the time for questions arrived. Aichi couldn't think of anything that he actually needed to know, since the Headmaster had been able to go over what seemed an already impressive list of rules.

That said, one of the female prisoners spoke up, asking about the bands that had been placed on their wrists. Not shocking in the slightest that they would have such devices, and her question was well founded. Even if this was primarily a prison, it was still meant to serve as a sort of a hero academy, which meant practical training of some variety. These bands can't have been that durable, and they were certain to have some safety precautions. Or they were just that cocky about them being able to handle all of these students at the same time. Aichi had seen some very powerful heroes, but, he wondered how many of them would be here. Either way, they had to have plans in mind, probably for each one of them individually and otherwise.

Alaric Vander

"I don't want to go to prison." That was all Alaric was able to get out in the courtroom he was in. The judge had given him two options for someone of his "special" talents, referring to his quirk. Alaric could either go to jail and do the time for his crime or go to a juvenile detention center. Seeing as he wouldn't do well in prison, he opted for the center. Unfortunately as well, the detention center was in Japan. Alaric wasn't sure how he felt about that but what other choice did he really have.

The plane ride was long. Alaric was able to get some sleep on the ride but honestly, his blood was pumping way to much. Once he landed in Japan, the marshals escorting him passed him off to some guards that had a JRA logo on there shoulders. Immediately, Alaric was handcuffed and a blindfold was put across his face. Once secured, he heard the guards talking amount before grabbing him and tossing him into a car. The ride wasn't as long as the plane but still decent. We had finally stopped and Alaric was pulled from the car. Seeing he was a smaller kid, the guards basically carried him by his arms until they threw him down in a seat. He must have been on another vehicle as it began to move shortly after he was sitting.

Alaric used his ears to listen around for a moment. Not really anything was said on the ride. He could hear, others, but only actions and nothing verbal. Yet again, he was on another ride someone. Hopefully the last one. For the past several days all he has known is some type of transportation system getting him somewhere. The bus finally came to a stop and he could hear the guards began to move about the bus. Alaric was dragged from his seat and promptly, moved off the bus. Once off, the guard removed his blindfold, which was a bad idea as Alaric was blinded by the bright light of the sun. He didn't have time to adjust though as he was ushered inside.

The got all the students into a line in the mess hall. Alaric looked around at them all. Some seemed older and a couple looked young. Their seemed to be an even amount of girl to boy ratio as well. The thing that caught his attention the most, was the creepy guys in mask standing in front of them all. One of them introduced himself as the head master. He began to go on about all the rules and stuff but, Alaric got distracted looking at all the electricity running through the building. He was tired and drained. He hasn't been able to touch any electricity for about 4 days and his battery was getting low. He wasn't going to die or anything but it made him tired and non-active when he was drained. They probably wouldn't let him have any electricity though.

Subaru Toyatomi

Memorizing his sheets, one man stuck out from all the rest, dressed as a normal office worker with a harshness to his face, the man was unlike his colleagues. Not wearing a mask or the more hero-ish kicks of them. One could almost think that he was an office worker that had gotten lost. If not for the fact he was drinking from a green tea cup and doing some form of stretches when none were looking at him at least.

Ending his workout routine as the others disembarked, one thing stood out, mirror glasses that seemed to stay on his face regardless of what he was doing or how he was standing. Having read the files extensively, a couple of the students had oddities to their reports and likely didn't belong here, a couple of note. Some of them belonged at the bottom of the ocean. Oddly a few were from other parts of the globe, and did not speak Japanese, or it was not marked.

Just to be sure in case some did indeed not know Japanese or the automated translated wasn't working, Subaru gives a running translation for the headmaster, in English and then French. Other than this the business suit wearing elderly man just stood there with a bit of smugness to his face, waiting to see if the staff would be giving introductions or not. Already he had marked a few of the new students as potential problems, or at least those who clearly didn't pay attention, shifting his right palm under his glasses, a sheen goes across them in the "villain with glasses" fashion as he gazes..or rather turns his head to look pointedly in Alaric's direction.

Misako Katagawa

What have I done...this was a mistake.. Wasn't it? Shuddering slightly at the blindfold, she carries out the ride in silence, though there wasn't much of an option in that. While worried about all of this, her cynical nature and pride carried through, keeping her calm when the order came to get off the bus Misako makes no trouble. Though smiling coupled with her slit pupils one would not likely see past the front of the worry she felt. Looking at the teachers each was a bit odd, including the headmaster, though the oddest looking one was also the most normal looking, carrying out a running translation in one language she didn't know and English. Upon hearing the rules, more so the shock collars, she was half tempted to speak up and asking to do her time. While a felony that would be a black mark on her record the actual crime and time was fairly minor, but that wasn't why she came here...though those shock collars did worry her.. plus his empathize on pregnancy, was that a usual problem here? Waving her right arm to get attention she shouts out;

"Oi! Yeah, I have two. What happens if our power is semi-active and starts up when we sleep? I don't want to wake up and find my body doing the electric dance. And how do we earn money?" Misoka crosses her arms waiting for any answer she might get while glancing out of the corner of her eyes at her fellow students. Speaking of..

"Ah a third question Headmaster.. When do we see who we are roomed with?"

Sakai Yuuto

Yuu didn't think they had stopped crying since they got taken in. They got sloppy, didn't see the two officers nearby the shop. They thought it would be a quick in and out, grab enough money to get out of their apartment with him. They were so close, so close to happiness and safety, but it was all shattered before them.

Thankfully, when they were put on trial, the judge decided that their situation was a good reason to send them through rehab instead of prison. They had a drug habit, were in an abusive relationship, and just wanted to leave to live on their own and get out of a bad situation. Yuuto was just happy to be away from their boyfriend, they wanted help and they figured this was the best someone like them could get. They were on a fast track to prison, and getting help was the only way they were going to survive.

Still, this all didn't mean they weren't suffering from various anxiety attacks along the way. They hadn't taken the phone call offered. Who would they call? Their parents didn't care. They didn't want their boyfriend to know where they were. Who else was there? Their dealer? Like that was a viable option. Instead, they decided against calling anyone.

When they were put on a bus, blindfolded, with other teens, their anxiety shot up. They hated the idea of being blindfolded. They also hated the restraints, it was awful, their thoughts running rampant, nothing to keep them in check. Their breaths were sharp, racked with quiet sobs, as they had been yelled at for making noise before. The sudden thought of being in a detention center with people who could very likely hurt them made them squirm. This only continued as they were ushered off the bus.

They barely even heard what was being said as the person in front of the group spoke. They could hear the wash of blood in their ears, their heart drowning out any words that may have been entering their mind. While they were once embraced the thought of getting better at this facility, the idea of it now made them feel like they were dying. They heard voices, but the voices were just sounds, they couldn't breathe as they stared at their feet.

No, no, no, no no no nonono fuck no such a fuck up, he was right you're worthless.

"Any questions?" Their head snapped up as they heard those words. Questions? Questions? Of course they had questions, so many questions, questions they would never be allowed the answer to, questions they would ask if only they could speak. They heard more people speak, asking some questions. Some were questions they had too. Taking big, deep breaths, they tried to begin calming themselves before they broke down into a full panic attack. They doubted they'd get any help anyway.

Takumi Souta

Interactions: Teachers
Takumi sat on the bus in a daze. He didn't react particularly strongly when they were all shoved on. Instead, he just sat there, remembering.

His ass-kicking wasn't what drew his attention. It was painful, sure. Hell, his injuries still weren't fully healed. He had a few new scars now, and he still felt some pain in his chest and left arm. It had already been a couple of weeks, who knew burns and bones took so long to heal. Still, his only regret in that regard was losing so poorly. What hurt more was the very, very uncomfortable conversation with his grandfather afterwards.

Disappointed and angry, to put it lightly. Takumi knew that conversation would eventually pop up if he kept as he was, but he'd had hoped to have accomplished more. He was grateful to the old man, after all he taught Takumi everything he knew in terms of how to fight, not to mention practically raising him. However, he couldn't just sit by and accept it when the schools wouldn't let him in. His quirk wasn't as developed, sure, but that could be improved. They wouldn't even give him the chance...

Snapping out of his stupor to the sound of commotion, more guards had entered the bus and began blindfolding them. Takumi understood what he did was against the law, but seriously? Acting like he had committed mass murder or terrorism? It was just a bit exaggerated, or so he thought. They really were treating them all like real criminals and villains. Then again, who knew what these other kids had done?

He noted one of the guards getting a bit physical with one of the others. The guy was kind of asking for it, but come on! They were all chained and their quirks restrained, they didn't need to go that far over some jokes. It seemed like the smartass had decided to call it quits after a couple smacks over the head, thankfully.

"...Tch... Chill out... Getting an awful lot of enjoyment kicking the crap out of people who can't fight back..." He murmured in irritation, unfortunately drawing the ire of the very same.

"What was that? You gonna be a smartass too?"

"...Damn, just blindfold us and take us wherever already!" But just as he retorted, Takumi too received a thump on the head and his vision obstruction, with the guard moving on to blindfold the others while grumbling about being ordered.

Pricks...

Still, a smack to the head wasn't so bad—comparably to everything else anyway, and it took aggro off some of the others. Takumi wasn't sure where they all stood; maybe they were really as bad as they were being treated, but right now they couldn't do anything. Beating them when they couldn't do anything about it was no difference than how all those high-tiers acted throughout public school. Besides, at least one of the other kids seemed to be trembling in their seats. Who the hell needed to smack some people around for nervous reactions?

Eventually, they were ushered off the bus and had their sight returned to them. Standing in a room with several masked individuals, the staff he assumed, the group received the run-down of the place. It sounded pretty standard. Bad as the place was, this was Takumi's chance to get back on track and actually become a hero. There were some weird rules, like the entire section of the speech about getting knocked up—but he could make it through this. There were some cute girls in the line-up, but he doubted that was something he'd have to worry about within the foreseeable future.

"How do we get permission to use our quirks? ...Er... for training." The question probably sounded somewhat suspicious without that clarification. Still, Takumi wanted to improve and develop his quirk, though that would require not just permission, but someone else to help him.

“No, you don’t get a mask.” Headmaster simply stated towards the boy who shouted out his question.

His attention then turned to a small green haired girl, who asked something more valid than the brown-haired boy. “If you get hurt, you’ll be sent to the infirmary where our healer will patch your wounds or give you an aspirin. Now, regarding your wristbands. They were designed to withstand corrosive substances, explosions, high amounts of pressure, and their material protects them from water, electric, and collision damage. In other words, it’s going to take a lot more than a fight to break them.”

A girl with red hair was the next to speak. This time she had three questions. “First, Nameless here will help you regarding Quirks that activate while you sleep.” He pointed out the woman, who gave a small wave. “Second, you’ll have opportunities to work around the premises or with a company that partnered with JRA. Third, you girls will find out soon enough. The boys, however, have a late arrival so it seems. Until that person comes, they’ll be sharing a room.”

A boy with black hair asked the last question of the group. “There will be a monitored and controlled area where you can exercise your Quirks. It is only accessible during free time, and it’s also a privilege. Don’t go crazy or you’ll ruin the chance for everyone else.”

With that, the Headmaster clapped his hands together. “No more questions! Take this time to go to your rooms and get everything sorted. Meet your new classmates, and hope all of you get along well.”

~~~
Mika had gestured for the girls and Yuuto to follow once her boss had finished speaking. She led them all to three doors, metal and thick. There was a window to check inside of the room and a smaller window at the top of the wall to let in natural lighting. The window itself did not have glass, was protected with bars and was too small for anyone but a baby to squeeze through.
Inside, the rooms were barren with the bare necessities. A small sink, a bunk bed, a toilet, and enough space for maybe a desk and some possessions.
“Reese, Yuuto, you will be taking room 1A. Sumire, Hikari, you will be in 2A. Misako, Arrietty, in 3A. Any objections?”
Saito, Hikari
Hikari could only criticize herself for her own actions, knowing things wouldn't have ended up like this.. if she had done something different. Instead, here she was blindfolded and shuffled out of a bus. While she couldn't entire admit she regretted her actions, she did regret the aftermath of the last crimes she committed. The sixteen year old could only listen on silently as she took in all of the information being provided to them. This place wasn't the ideal place for her, but she would have to make the time here worthwhile at least. With all of the questions coming to a close, Hikari briefly glanced over at her companions.
It was strange that they were holding so many teenagers here, especially with the crimes she could only guess they committed. The whole situation was tiresome to the girl, especially when there wouldn't be any answers to how long they would be kept here. Ignoring the thought, she could only listen on as one of the masked men finished answering the last of the questions. At the very least.. they would be able to have some privileges here.
Mindlessly following the small group of girls in front of her, Hikari's gaze constantly flickered around their surroundings as they were led elsewhere. Everything around them practically screamed out prison to her. Then again.. it was better being here than a legitimate prison, isn't it? Being locked up for a life sentence wasn't something she wanted to imagine. With the older woman speaking, the teenager could only shake her head. "No objections here." She spoke up, taking a quick glance at the window in the doorways. Despite having no objections herself, she was curious to see if she would actually get along with Sumire. Whoever she was in the small group of girls. "Are we.. starting our schedule today?"
Reese was glad to have received legitimate answers... For a moment she had been concerned someone might ask a ridiculous question or insult a teacher and ruin it for everyone, she did make sure to mark the kid who asked about masks as a possible troublemaker... Perhaps they would do something useful for her, like start a fight or distract the teachers, of course he could prove to more of a hindrance if he did something to make the teachers angry or alert...
Though she was happy that they would be taken somewhere presumably private to be treated, the seemingly indestructible nature of the bands was certainly a problem, looks like she would need to find another way to get it off...
Reese had expected the metal doors, yet another thing she would not be able to break through, though she doubted they were put in place purely as a way to keep her blocked in...
When they were given their room assignments she took a deep breath, looking at Yuuto, they looked kinda boyish... Or was it girly?... She couldn't quite place it but something seemed odd, still, she was hardly going to call someone out on something like that! All that mattered to her was how much they respected privacy... Specifically hers.
Upon entering the room Reese immediately went for the bottom bunk, removing the sheet from the bed and starting to convert it into a sort of privacy curtain, before finally turning to her roommate.
"Hello... Yuuto right?... I'm Reese".
She held out a hand for an awkward handshake, figuring she should be on decent terms with someone who would share a room with her,
Subaru Toyatomi
With the Headmaster finishing his questioning seminar, the man quickly shoes them off, well at least some of them, how so un-corporate. Sighing, it seemed his Boss still did not understand the finesse of Bureaucracy. Slightly annoyed at this, Subaru pushes his glasses up while sighing slightly. How unsightly not even a proper explanation of the schedules and one of the convicts was not here on time. Either way he was not content with this simple mysterious display from his compatriots. Plus Subaru needed to tend to his plants and to do his morning stretches...and with all the others scattering with the Headmaster...
"Haa!" Suddenly taking a leap into the sky the Office Man stands atop a standard looking suitcase, seemingly surfing in the air above the students and landing behind them. Standing to his feet and facing away from them, the old man suddenly turns on his heels striking a martial looking pose, standing on one leg with both arms raised to the side like a crane.
Then just as suddenly picking up his case and standing like a normal human being he speaks. "Prisoners! Every morning I run a voluntary Tai Chi workout in the central yard! All are invited to attend if you can laze out of bed! We shall be meeting again today, be prepared for your physical limits to be tested soon! We shall cut the chaff from the wheat! Good and Evil shall be made clear!"
Performing a deep Japanese bow, the man didn't bother introducing himself, in part this was as he suddenly remembered, he needed to ask the Headmaster about that. Office Man had no issue with using his real name or hero alias unlike most of his comrades, but protocol was important to follow. More importantly, he had tests to prepare, it would indeed show good from evil, who would press on, who would get angry, who would cheat and who was weak or strong.
"Hmm. Carry on students, I think my fellows there shall deal with your arrangements for now." Looking smugly at Toguro the office worker seemed to have a since of smugness to him as if to taunt his fellow teacher with a Gotcha. He had effectively made his escape before Toguro could do so, the male students would be his problem to shepherd. Mika was already taking charge of the girls, so Toyatomi-san was free and clear. Opening his Suitcase the man pulls out a thermos savoring some steamy liquid as he went about his day with a stroll.
Misako Katagawa
Nodding at the responses she got from the Headmaster Misako was about to ask for some clarification when the masked man suddenly decided the conversation was over, then things got even stranger as the Office Man surfed off the stage riding a suitcase like some sort of surfboard. She could swear he looked about ready to ride it into one of them.. Actually how in the world did he even do that. Before she could even respond the man advertised an optional morning workout and made some mention on intending to push them to the edge later this day, about good and evil..
Then just as suddenly he was drinking from a thermos and walking off like he wasn't even there... "I...but why though?" Standing there a bit confused, she had a feeling a man that acted like that would end up being trouble, he had more energy than most elementary school students. Before she could voice any complaints or objections however, a female took her and the others off. Naturally like all the other weirdo's in here she also didn't state her name..
This was a mistake.. Wasn't it..oh god why didn't I just tell them..
Outwardly calm, the prideful Misako took a quick look into the rooms.. Depending on how these bracelets worked she might be able to get her head out to take a look. Looking at the other girls it seemed her roommate was the one whose language was a total mystery. She seemed like the popular girl sort a blonde, plus she didn't get that dangerous vibe from her that she did some of the others. "Hiya, names Misako Katagawa." Holding her hand out to shake in the western fashion, the girl tilts her head, showing off a clear mark that ran the whole width of her neck.
"So what bunk do you want? Bottom might be best for me, but I don't mind the top bunk either, closer to the window. But yeah, this room needs to be fixed up.." Debating to tell her about her interest in fashion or in being able to sew clothes, Misako shuts up for now to see how the French girl would act, or if any of the others would try striking up a conversation with her. Plus there was the whole thing in regards to the uniforms, room and how this wonderful arrest collar would work if her head rolled off while she was sleeping.
Arrietty didn't enjoy the first question asked, what kind of question was it if they got masks? Besides, who would really want to hide behind a mask? Although, weren't we all hiding behind masks in some way? Arrietty shook her head a bit to herself, these were not the kind of thoughts she needed to be asking herself right now, not the place or time. Maybe never.
Arrietty did enjoy knowing that it was possible for her to practice her quirk, she always loved the small rush she got when she vanished from one spot to reappear in another. If she didn't get enough practice in she would find herself transporting to the wrong spot in sight or other physical ailments after much non use of her Quirk.
Before heading off to find out her roommate, a strange teacher appeared. Sure his energy was a lot to take in, but the idea of a nice exercise and Tai Chi to refresh in the morning didn't sound that bad. Arrietty thought before she spoke, she could understand English quite well speaking it was a different story however, "I wouldn't mind a... jump start in the morning. I will have to, ponder, on this a bit." She nodded her head politely at the teacher, who did some weird deep bow before she followed her fellow delinquents to learn of her room assignment.
When hearing her room assignment she didn't have any complaints, the red haired girl appeared to be nice, especially as she turned and introduced herself to Arrietty. Arrietty smiled, mostly friendly with a bit of mischievousness to the girl. Speaking her natural tongue at first she said, "Pleased to meet you," She reached out to shake her hand and noticed the scar on Misako's neck, making a mental note to ask her later if that had something to do with the crime she committed, her past, or even her quirk. However, right now seemed like a less than appropriate time to ask her new roommate.
Now, Arrietty could play this different ways. She could try to assume dominance to the girl or play it cool and sly. Arrietty still wasn't sure how she wanted to be around these people yet. She could either try to take charge, make her name known, make a few enemies, create allies, etc. Or, she could worm her way into everyone's hearts, try and smile and be everyone's friend and cause any drama that would benefit her behind their backs. She knew deciding which bed to sleep and how she responded to Misako would be her first step in either direction. Or, she was overthinking it.
Speaking in English, Arrietty responded, "If you believe the bottom," Arrietty already forgot the English word for it, "sleeping center would be best for you, then you can certainly claim it. I agree with you though, we might have to work together to freshen the room up."
Nice girl for right now it would be. Of course, it certainly wouldn't be hard to change later.
Yoshiyuki, Aichi
Aichi's face twisted into a scowling pout when the headmaster responded to his question in the negative. Oh well, cool mask or not, he was going to do his best to make the most of his time in this place. Atonement was the primary goal, and it sounded like he would be able to improve himself in a multitude of ways while he was here. His quirk, his body, his friendships, so much potential for improvement. Nonetheless, he had to remember that this was going to be a challenging place to be. The others took their turns speaking and being answered. It wasn't long before the girls were led off, and Aichi couldn't help but let his eyes scan over all of them. He was a teen boy, after all. They were all fairly cute, but, he wasn't sure about how he felt about a few of them, for multiple reasons. Of course, then it just got weird. But, like, in a good way. The sudden entrance of another staff member was fantastic, and Aichi's eyes grew wide, and he had to restrain himself mentally in order to prevent himself from shouting out to the man as he appeared and spoke to them. Wait, tai chi? With a true pro hero,? Office Man, no less?! The young hopeful couldn't possibly turn that down, especially since he really wanted to work on strengthening his body and improving his flexibility too.
Hayakawa, Toguro
Toguro had been present since before the prisoners/students had arrived, but had chosen to stay quiet. He didn't have much if any reason really to talk to them yet, and the headmaster was definitely the type who liked to hear himself talk. Since being brought onto this project, he was unsure about how worthwhile an instructor he would be. After all, he was often viewed as a troublesome sort of hero, and his background was no small part of that. When Office Man, his colleague for now, interestingly enough, mentioned that his colleagues would see to the boys he was baffled for a second before it occurred just what he was going for. The look on that man's face betrayed a mischievous side to the man that he had seldom seen before. That bastard...
"Wait, what?!" Toguro watched him begin to leave, sipping his tea in a casual and almost flaunting manner, looking to him in surprise before looking back to the prisoners. Oh great. Now he was the one who had to deal with them, and not even in the classroom setting. Oh well.
"Ugh, great. No matter, can't help it now. You three, come with me, and i'll show you to your rooms. Or, rather, for now, your room." The masked man turned and began walking away towards the corridor leading to the rooms, his silvery hair brushing across his face in response to his brisk pace. Toguro really wasn't sure how he was going to handle this assignment, given the circumstances. Time would tell. He spared a quick glance back at them as they reached their destination, and he gestured toward a large steel door. Just to the right of the door by about six feet was another corridor, leading to the multiple rooms with large steel doors as well.
"Since our final prisoner has yet to arrive, the three of you will be sharing this room until he does. It is usually more of a commons area than a sleeping area, but, the accommodations were easy enough. If you have an questions, I suggest you ask them now. I have things to do before class today." The man's expression, obscured as it was, seemed cold and stoic, even in regards to people in a prison system. His eyes were half-lidded, and his tone lacked amusement. The half-face mask did a great job of hiding his face and maintaining a sense of secrecy. Toguro's gaze shifted between the three boys, his mind wandering to whatever they may have to say in this situation.
Upon completing any questions, he would open the door allowing them to enter the room. It looked much like a traditional lobby for an office building, but with three bunks along the far wall. It was rather bare and boring, but, this was still in a way a prison facility. They would just have to deal. Besides, this wasn't going to be their actual rooms for the duration of their stay. Not that they would be much better.
Mika looked towards Hikari, who had asked a question. She gave her a few nods, "Yes. Headmaster decided that all of you should get accustomed to your schedules as quickly as possible. Just because it's your first day, doesn't mean you get to take it easy." Mika gestured Hikari to follow Sumire, who had stepped into the room and took a look around.
"I'll be nearby if you need me." She assured.
~~
Sumire looked inside of the room, analyzing the surroundings. Thick walls, probably sturdy in case someone with a strength quirk decided to go animalistic... Tiny window, secured with bars. If someone had a puddle quirk, they could slip right through couldn't they? What if they could get the wristband off like that? Did the wristband readjust in size depending on the user? If someone's wrist became broken, would the wristband try to adjust for that? So many questions...
The bunk bed looked... stable. Not exactly what she had in mind, and frankly, she was terrified of taking the bottom bunk. If the bars became brittle, someone small like Hikari could send the top bunk down onto Sumire if she tried...
Speaking of Hikari.
"Hikari was it..?" Sumire asked, offering a smile. Smiles were a good start, right? "I'm Sumire. It's nice to meet you."
Alaric Vander
Alaric was still distracted by the flow of the power through the building. The other kids may have thought he was a bit weird but he didn't care. It wasn't like he was making friends here anyways. Most likely all the kids here have done something like him. Killed someone or hurt people. Stolen or lied. That is just how it is honestly.
What snapped him from his day dreaming was seeing all the girls head off with one of the adults. Some of them were pretty cute. Once they were out of the mess hall. It was just himself and two other young lads. One of them, was apparently, just as curious as me because he began to look around at the myself and the other boy. I just paid him no mind.
We stood around the mess hall for what felt like a hour until we were finally lead off into the building. The masked man leading us sounded as if he really didn't want do be doing this. He never introduced himself or showed signs of compassion. As we walked, I took note of the halls and rooms we passed. It was really no different than an American prison but somehow, it felt weird. It was still kind of surreal that he was in a whole different country just to avoid jail time. Honestly though, he was lucky. Alaric could have got the dead penalty for what he did. Only thing that really saved him was that the boys had a history of picking on kids and they were orphans.
The group stopped and it snapped him from his thoughts. The guy in the mask began to talk about the room situation and apparently, we were still waiting on another boy. That would even things out it seems. So, the teacher said the three of us were staying in this room, temporarily, until the other kid gets here. I followed the other two boys in and the door was shut behind us. Alaric stood there a moment until shifting so his back was to the wall. He wasn't sure what to do. One of the boys was the curious one from the mess hall. The other was still silent. Should be fun, right?
Misako Katagawa
Nodding at the hand shake, it seemed the girl was trying to use English in place of her native tongue, Misako could understand the English even without the translator running it's own commentary. "Hmm, I wouldn't say it's best exactly. Just that I wouldn't want to accidently wake you up with a surprise from above. And oh, you like to decorate?" Smiling as she always was given to, Misako sighs a bit while staring at the room then back at Arrietty. While she did say the first bits in English Misako left the translator to handle the rest as she switched to Japanese. "Well guess depends how much they allow us to do. Ah yes, I also can do some stuff with clothes."
Not sure what else to say she didn't know what the girl would care to talk about or ask. Waiting to see if the girl had more to say or if the teacher would kick off class or get them the uniforms or basic decorations, Misako glances at her other cellmates seeing who she may be living with for the next 10 years.
Without much time the girls had been escorted off to their own wing of rooms. Glancing at them, they seemed normal-enough, aside for the foreigner who's blond hair and blue eyes gave her the appearance of someone far too regal to belong in the current situation. Still, they didn't look like psychopaths at least. Then again, neither did the guys, of whom had actually arrived anyways.
Just as the girls began to leave, it appeared as though one of the faculty had decided to introduce himself in a rather flamboyant way, striking a pose not like a pro hero, but more of the heroes you'd see in a child's television series. One of the other guys seemed almost in awe, however the entire act just drew a deadpan from Takumi and a very confused "Huh...?"
Still, Tai-Chi was a plus. Who knew when else they would get a chance for training?
After the dramatics, a much less entertained staff member ushered the group to their own wing, or commons rather. This particular teacher didn't seem to care much for his being there, while the others appeared to maintain some level of professionalism; naturally cold. This guy—seemed a bit different. Probably saw the lot of them as criminals. Well, technically he wasn't wrong...
Takumi eyed the man before heading in with a light click of his tongue. It wasn't as much of an assertion of attitude as it likely seemed, merely the boy trying to get a handle on the masked teacher, to no avail. He could never read those types well. He couldn't read most people well. Half the time he'd take someone's blatant lies and naively perceive it as the truth only to have to beat on them later.
And so, the three of them were there. The excitable guy who liked to push people's buttons when he was nervous and a much quieter one with bi-colored eyes. Takumi glanced at the both of them, gauging them much as he had the teacher who showed them to the room they were in. It was understandable, a new environment with new people, you wanted to get to know people and see who you might could get along with. What Takumi failed to understand was that with his height and natural scowl, his leer more looked like he was sizing them up to eat or shiv in an monitored corner.
However, after a few moments of stationary examination, he continued his walk over to one of the bunks in the room and tossed himself on it with a tired sigh. The conflicted expression on his face gave the impression of someone plotting or perhaps even ready to start a fight. Honestly though, he was far more concerned with how he would stay awake through the coming lecture, and if there would be any edible food for lunch.
Sakai Yuuto
Yuu had mostly tuned out the rest of whatever was being said, still focusing on not hyperventilating. Soon, a woman came to the group, telling them to follow her. Yuuto wasn't exactly upset that they were put with the girls, and in fact preferred that, but they weren't sure how well a girl would take to them. Specifically, that underneath everything, they were still biologically male.
The woman stopped the small group in front of some doors, then told them all their room assignments and cell mates. Yuuto was to be with a girl named Reese... The name was foreign, and that worried them somewhat. They hurried into the cell after the girl that was their room mate, and watched her take the bottom immediately. It wasn't the most ideal, as they preferred the bottom, but they weren't about to say anything. Yuu stood awkwardly by the door, one hand rubbing the opposite arm. Their breath was a bit smoother at this point, but still shaky. Reese finally turned to them, holding out a hand, introducing herself. Putting out a shaking hand when she offered hers, Yuu weakly shook her hand.
"Y-yeah, I'm... I'm Yuuto. Um... Good t- good to meet you." They stuttered, voice barely audible. They took their hand back from her, glancing back out the door. They weren't really sure when they would be called out for classes, so for now, they made their way up the small ladder onto the top bunk, leaning against the wall, staring at the opposite wall. They worked on getting their breathing and heart rate back to normal, getting the swirling thoughts of dread out of their brain.
Once the students finished introducing themselves to their roommates and gotten situated, the guards had come around again. This time it was to remove their chains and bring them to the courtyard.
The students would be lined up, where in front of them were various workout equipment, a track to run, and a pair of pay telephones that could be used by implementing the routing number for their accounts. The fences around the area were high wrapped with multiple feet barbed wire around the top and the center. A red border was present around the courtyard, marking the acceptable space the students had before their wristbands activated.
Sumire yawned briefly, standing with the rest of her classmates while they waited for what was to come. The guards nor her Overseer have told them anything, which meant they were in for some sort of surprise. Was she frightened? Yes. Absolutely. What did these pro heroes have planned for them?
