B I O G R A P H Y

Indigo was born in Chicago, Illinois to Rosie and John Blackburn. The first three years of her life were spent at home with her homeschooling older sister, Carnelian (Neli), until her little brother Ross was born. After that, the family moved to France and they spent three years there, in which Indigo was homeschooled and became fluent in French. When Poppy, her younger sister, was born (when Indigo was six), the family moved back to Chicago. They stayed there for two years, until Indigo's mother and father decided they would move to Millennium City. Everything was pre-arranged; their old apartment was packed and shipped ahead to the new apartment, the children were signed up to attend a public school near their new home, and all they had to do was get there. But on the car trip there, the family got in a fatal accident involving an eighteen-wheeler and another family in a SUV. Indigo's mother and father both died immediately, while the younger siblings, Ross and Poppy, died a few days later in a hospital. During the crash, Indigo's left eye was injured, leaving a mess of scar tissue and turned her left eye silver. Carnelian sent Indigo to their grandparents in Chicago while she went to stay in the apartment in Millennium City and find a job, as she was eighteen at the time. When Indigo was thirteen, she moved in with her older sister and started attending an all-girls boarding school in upstate New York during the school year, where she was somewhat of a social outcast. She wasn't bullied, though, as most of the other girls were a little frightened by her. Her only friend was Onyx Peterson, a very quiet girl that was similar to a ghost in almost every way.

• Since she only recently discovered her powers, she is still experimenting with them. She began by realizing that all of her dreams are suddenly lucid dreams. She mastered lucid dreaming, then began experimenting to see if she could give dreams to other people. In her experiments, she would give napping classmates frightening or pleasurable dreams and then read the colors associated with their emotions to see if they changed. Once she starts to get better at giving people simple dreams, she will attempt entering people's dreams.

Written Description: [spoili]Indigo Blackburn is a somewhat tall girl, standing at 5'9" and weighing around 130 pounds. She isn't quite as curvy as all of the other girls at her school; her shoulders are as broad as her hips are wide but her waist is barely two inches skinner than both. She's not exactly skinny, but she's not heavy, either. Athletic may be a better term to describe her, but she doesn't really play any sports.
Her face is round and heart-shaped, and her nose is rather unremarkable compared to her other features. Due to the fire that also scarred half of her face, one of her eyes lost its amber pigment, leaving it a metallic silvery-grey. Her lips are medium red even without lipstick, and her teeth are perfectly straight and bright white. Her mouth is always set in some sort of ghostly smirk, and her facial expressions are almost always unreadable.
Her hair is thick, wavy, and the rich color of dark chocolate. It falls to her mid-back when worn natural and falls nearly to her waist when straightened or wet. She has thick, eyebrow length bangs that she has to straighten, otherwise they would fluff up and stick out everywhere. Indigo Blackburn was born and raised in a small French village, where her parents had moved to from England just before she was born. Over the first eight years of her life, she was homeschooled with her older sister, Carnelian, and her younger brother and sister, Ross and Poppy.

She was born with chromesthesia, which was a type of synesthesia made her see sound as color. This made her a fairly artistic child, and her parents kept every single one of her paintings. It also made her older sister quite jealous, which in turn just seemed to make their parents favor Indigo more.

Besides Indigo and Carnelian's relationship, everything was great. But everything started going downhill when Indigo was six. She stopped painting, saying it was impractical and wasted her time. Carnelian got a scholarship for a college in the United States. Poppy, the youngest, was diagnosed with cancer. A year later, Carnelian was living in Millennium City and Indigo's parents spent almost all of their time at the hospital with Poppy.

When Indigo was eight, Poppy died. Indigo drew herself in, locking out her emotions. Carnelian flew back to the United States immediately after the funeral. Their parents grew careless, and one night that resulted in a terrible accident. They forgot to turn off the oven before going to bed, causing their home to go up in flames. Indigo was the only one to make it out, with a large burn on the left side of her face.

She went to live with Carnelian, her older sister, in her apartment in Millennium City. Since Carnelian was still in university, Indigo attended a boarding school upstate during the school year. During the Summer, she spent most of her time away from the apartment, where her sister would usually have a different annoying boyfriend or girlfriend each week.

Currently, her only 'friend' is a thin, ghostly pale girl with jet black hair named Onyx Lear. They met when they were both twelve and have been what some would call friends ever since. They don't really communicate during the Summer, when they aren't at school, and they don't know much about each other as both are very secretive, but they always manage to start hanging out as soon as they return to school.

Essentially, Indigo could change into anything she wanted. It's not really clear how she does it, but she assumes it's by altering her cellular, genetic, or possibly even atomic structure. If she wanted, she could transform into anything from a tiny ant to a huge blue whale, or something like a glass of water or a tree. But we're talking about Indigo Blackburn, the creepy girl that likes to mess with people for fun. With her personality, she's bound to be a whole lot more creative than simply turning into an animal or some water.

L I M I T S​

Specification | To shape shift, Indigo must have a clear, specific image in mind of what she is turning into. If she just thinks of a generalized object/animal, such as a "dog" or "chair", it will not work. (<<or maybe the transformation goes wrong? unsure on this part)

Unconsciousness | If she is knocked unconscious or falls asleep while in another form, she will automatically revert back to her normal state.

Energy Use | Some things, like making herself look like another person or turning into something else similar to her size or shape, will not take much energy. But if she were to turn into something much larger or smaller than herself, such as an ant or a dragon, she would expend much more energy. Therefore, she can only transform a limited amount of times in one day without exhausting herself. The number depends on the difficulty of the transformations.

Biography

History: Izabella was born and raised in Lindon. She grew up with her sister, Zora Levitskaya, and her father, Aleksander Levitsky.

She frequently snuck out of her home at night as a teen, usually going to practice fighting with a group of friends. While she was doing this, she got a few small scars, but the most noticeable is the short scar on her collarbone that was obviously deep and jagged when it was fresh. She learned a lot from her little gang, and eventually, when she was seventeen, she grew tired of her father and sister. She stole a small personal sol with two others and all three of them ran away to the Insurgency.

At eighteen, she joined the crew of a small Insurgency sol as the assistant mechanic. After a year, she became the co-pilot. Soon after that, she heard about an availability on the Nerissa and jumped at the chance for a new adventure.

History:

Zora was born in Lindon, Netima, to Aleksander Levitsky and Cassiopeia Levitskaya. When she was four years old, Izabella was born, but less than a year later, their mother disappeared and was reported as dead by the Republic military. Other than that, her life was quite nice. On a trip to Hampton when she was twelve, Zora decided she wanted to attend Oxford Academy. She discovered that her affinity was air only a few months later, and when she was sixteen she was accepted into the Academy.
