I noticed today that a friend of mine has a birthday cake next to her name. Yet, when I looked in the details she chose to show, there was no sign of her birthday details being present at all.
If a person chose to hide away their birthday date details, perhaps the birthday cake mark should be changed so it will only present itself if a person chose to show their birthday date? Because right now, it looks to me like this just bypasses a choice that is being made by the individual. And that is not right in any way.
Edit: If thats too difficult, then perhaps you could put it to a general vote or something like it. I believe you gave people the option to show their date and month of birth in the account setting for a reason, after all.
