"I was just wondering. We can take a plane, it might be a nice experience" he told Kaleb softly and finished off his coffee. Travis looked down at the empty cup and debated about having another one but to much coffee at this time could be bad. He got up from his seat at the table and rinsed his cup out for tomorrow. He spun on his heels to face his brother "I wasn't really wanting anything of theirs. Well mom did keep this one photo album, I was thinking about taking that" he said softly. This whole place was a hell hole, even if it was his mother's things Travis didn't really care to keep it.

Travis' phone dinged reminding him of something which confused him and he pulled out his phone to look at the massage "Oh shit" he called softly to himself. He bolted out of the kitchen and to his room. He yanked several things out of his suit case and stripped out of his clothes to put some worn jeans on and then a t-shirt with an underground band picture on the front. He slipped on his shoes as he was hopping out of his room "My boss is going to have a fit. I am sooo late" he called softly whether Kaleb cared or not.
He ran back to the entrance of the kitchen and looked at his brother "I'll go through everything when I get back from my shift but I am so late right now" he said once more and headed for the door to start his run to work.

Kaleb nodded his head and watched as Travis left, running out the door to his job. He decided to go and start going through everything in the basement and the attic. Most of the stuff he tossed into a large black garbage bag. He had almost everything in the basement out and when the garbage trunk came by that night he let them take all the furniture. He even sold the flat screen tv to the garbage truck guy. After a few hours, the basement was completely bare. He then went up to the attic and began working on those things. He was bringing some things down stairs and he sat down, and yawned, slowly falling asleep at the kitchen table.

Once Travis was out the front door he started running to get to work, he was a little surprised that his boss hadn't called him for not being at work. Not to mention all the lights were against him but he checked both directions that traffic should be coming and then bolted across the street without waiting for the crosswalk sign. He had no time to wait on those useless things if he wanted to make it to work within the next twenty minutes.

As he came to the club there was a line out the door already and the bouncer looked in Travis' direction and pointed towards the back. He nodded his head and took the alley to the back of the club. He came to a skidding stop just inside the kitchen and finally let himself start breathing once again "Where have you been?! Boss said you were supposed to be here an hour ago" He heard someone angrily call to him and he flipped them off still trying to catch his breath. Then his boss strolled from the office and up to Travis, he patted him on the back "I know you'd be here, I heard about what happened so I figured you would come in when you could" he said and then just started to laugh. So his boss thought it was a joke not calling him in when they were slammed "You know this would happen so why didn't you call me" he yelled back at his boss "Cause it was more fun seeing the others squirm without your help and I wanted to see how they could do without Mr. Wonder Man coming to save them" he explained and then disappeared out in the front of the store.

Travis sighed heavily when he was able to get his breath under control and then he walked over grabbing an apron. He wrapped that around his waist and walked out on the floor. He quickly scanned the bar it was a complete mess Jeez, can no one pick up bottles he thought to himself and that was the first thing he did. After that he stepped behind the bar and started filling drinks as fast as he could, a couple of times he pushed a few people from behind the bar and told them to grab a busbucket.
--
Travis night ended with a good two hundred extra cash in his pocket, several people would miss him when he was gone because he knew how to make their drinks for them but he shrugged his shoulders. "I'll right. You guys have clean up duty" he called over his shoulder to two guys who then groan and he walked to the back where his boss' office was. "Hey boss. I've got some bad news" he told him and his boss turned around to him confused "and what would that be?" He inquired and Travis stepped into the office "I'm quitting" He said out right "What?! When?" His boss exclaimed "Right now. Kaleb offered to take me with him to New York and I figured it couldn't hurt to get to know my brother again" travis explained to him and that seemed to make his boss relax "Alright then. If it doesn't work out you know you can always come back here" his boss told him and patted him on the back "Thanks. Well I've got to get going" they gave each other a quick hug and Travis left.

When Travis came back Kaleb was still asleep at the table. There was a few large black garbage bags around him, and it looked like he had been throwing things away. He had stacks of papers all over the table and he looked exhausted. Lolita was curled up right by his head, resting as well or sleeping, Kaleb didn't really know. He had gotten a lot of things done. The basement was all sorted out and the Attic was half done. He still had to do his room though, which wouldn't be hard but still. It looked like he had made a lot of coffee to stay awake, but he still fell asleep at the kitchen table.

Travis yawned into the back of his hand as he walked into the house. He half expected the place to be pitch black but there were still a few lights on inside. Travis figured that his brother would have been in bed hours ago but just to make sure he looked down at his watch, it was almost 5 in the morning. He carefully moved through the house and over to the kitchen that had the brightest light. Travis leaned against the nearest wall and stared at his brother for a little bit Wonder how late he stayed up cleaning he thought to himself but then pushed off the wall and over to his brother. Travis stripped off his coat and placed it on the back of a chair.

He then walked over to his brother carefully not to wake him and then leaned down. He grabbed one of Kaleb's arms and gently placed it around his neck, then he slipped an arm behind his back "Let's get you into bed" he softly said and hosted his brother to his feet just enough so they both wouldn't fall over. He slowly turned around and started towards the stairs. But as he stood there and stared at the stairs he figured it wasn't going to work this way. "Change of plans" he said softly whether his brother could hear him or not. Travis then held his brother in place with one hand on his chest and then scooped his brother up into his arms bridal style. It was a little difficult to hold his brother up since he wasn't that strong but he proceeded anyways. As he came to the top of the stairs he didn't stop till he got Kaleb into one of the rooms and then he slid him from his arms onto the bed. Travis didn't take into account the blanket but figured his brother would just like the fact that he was in a bed when he woke up later.

He then turned and quietly left the room and went back down to the kitchen. He looked over everything that his brother had done and then picked up the trash bags to take them out to the sidewalk for the trash guys. Travis walked back into the house with goosebumps on his arm from the chilly morning arm and then proceeded to go through the rest of the house rummaging through things. He was rather used to no sleep and he had promised his brother that he would help with cleaning up the house and getting rid of the junk so he was good with not sleeping till later.

Kaleb was out like a light and when he was on the bed, he didn't move an inch. It was almost comical how deep in his sleep he was. When Travis looked around, Kaleb had gotten started on the things in his mothers bedroom. The room he had brought Kaleb into was all but empty, all the shelves empty and everything gone. He had done a lot while Travis was gone. Kaleb woke hours later. He looked like hell as he came down to the kitchen. He looked around groggily and he yawned looking over at Travis. "Hey..." he said tiredly. I finished the basement, half the attic and my old bedroom," he said softly. "I'll finish the attic and continue with moms room," he said turning like he was a zombie.

Travis was starting to lose his mind at how much crap was in this place, on the surface it seemed just enough to live with but as he shuffled through things he found cubbies of stuff. Most of the things he didn't even remember but he had finally gotten the living room taken care of a one of the spare rooms. That was good enough for now wasn't it, so he had just gone into the kitchen to get himself coffee. He swung by his room once to change clothes and pulled out an orange bottle. At first Travis had taken pills to knock him out so that he could sleep but then he had the doctor give him something to keep him awake. Travis hardly could stand sleeping anymore since his mind wanted to torture him more. He dry swallowed the pill and went back to the kitchen.

He poured himself a large cup of coffee and turned around just as his brother came down "How about you sit down first, have some breakfast and coffee and wake up some more. I can finish up the attic. All the other rooms are taken care of so just take it easy" he told his brother and sipped at his coffee after he leaned against the counter. He needed to give his medication time to kick in before he started back on cleaning up the house.

Kaleb shook his head. "You really do not want to go up in the attic," he said to Travis. It was hell looking through all their fathers crap. He had most of his father things gown, but he still had a few locked trunks to go through which he found the keys too in his dads office. He was terrified of opening it. But if he found stuff he would throw it out. He sighed to himself and looked at Travis. "You want me to make breakfast first?" he asked Travis. He still had stuff in the fridge he could make.

Travis shrugged his shoulders, if Kaleb wanted to clean the attic then that was fine by Travis. He just wanted to get all this shit taken care of so he didn't have to worry about it anymore. With coffee in hand he pushed away from the counter "Not really hungry. I ate at the bar" he explained to Kaleb though that was only partially right but he really wasn't hungry. Tired as hell but not hungry. "I created a mess of my things in the room so I'm gonna go tidy that up" Travis said and started out of the room.

Kaleb nodded his head and made himself something small. He sighed, eating his food and making another pot of coffee. He sighed to himself as he finished eating and he cleaned up before he went up to the attic, having two more garbage bags with him. He brought the bags over to the trunks and opened the trunks. What he saw did not make him happy. There were video tapes, labeled with their names. He took out his phone and told tony to come over. He took out only the videos that had his name on it. He put Travis's in the other plastic bag and then opened the other trunk, finding just normal porn, which he threw out. He brought the bag of the videos with him and gave them to tony when he came by. "More evidence for you" he said softly.

Travis walked into his room and looked around once more, this place still seemed to suffocate him even though they were going through all the stuff and getting rid of it. Travis still hadn't found his mothers photo album and he was sure that his father wouldn't burn the thing or at least he hoped he hadn't. Travis started to pick his things up once more and stuff it back into his bag. Was he really going to go to New York with his brother, thinking about it made him feel awkward. How big of a place did his brother live in? Would they be seeing each other a lot? Would he just be getting in the way? One thing was sure, Travis probably wouldn't be leaving his brother's place for quite sometime. A new place, new people it scared the hell out of him. He left his room with his bags and walked down the stairs "Hey Kaleb..." Travis' sentence trailed as his eyes landed on Tony and the only word he heard was evidence "Hi...Tony" Travis said softly as he dropped his eyes to the ground.

"Hey Travis," Tony said softly to Travis. He nodded his head to Kaleb, telling him to visit him once before he left. Kaleb nodded his head saying good bye to his long time friend. He looked to Travis and sighed. "I found videos upstairs.... I gave the ones that had my name on them to Tony. The ones with your name, I'm burning them in the fireplace," he said softly to Travis sighing as he sat down.

He didn't say anything after that and just stood there till Tony left. Travis then proceeded to take his bags out to the front hallway and stopped at Kaleb's words "Video tapes...with my name?" Travis was confused, what had his brother meant by that. He followed Kaleb but didn't take a seat "What do you mean tapes?" If Kaleb meant what Travis thought he did that was just another thing that he was going to worry about. What was on the tapes? Was this a new height of sickness that his father had? He started to worry even more now and it showed on his face while Travis waited to hear what his brother had to say.

Kaleb sighed, Travis was going to make him say it. "They were tapes of the times dad raped us or had his friends over and let them use us.... Most of them were of me but a few had your names on them and I didn't give those to Tony for evidence. I don't care what people think about me, but I don't want people watching that happening to you," he said softly to him Travis. Their father was sick and Kaleb was glad he was nothing like his father. Although when he got angry he blew up but he only blew up once, and unfortunately it was with Travis.

Travis wavered, his stomach started to do flips making him nauseous. Now he had to sit down as his mind processed this new information, though his mind wanted to know exactly what were on those tapes but the other part of him wanted the tapes destroyed. "No one should see those things...ever. No one should know what happened to us, I don't want anyone to know anything about it" Travis began to say though it was like he was chanting it to himself "I don't want people talking nonsense about myself or even you. I just want to...I want it to go away" he put his head in his hands, even saying all of this he knew that those acts would never go away. They would always be seared inside his brain as well as his brothers, even both their bodies showed the abuse they had gone through and it would never go away.

Kaleb watched his brother and sighed, standing up. He made Travis stand up and he hugged his brother, like he had when he was younger. He sighed softly to himself, and held him, wanting him to calm down. "No one will see them," he said softly. He grabbed the bag and went to the fireplace, lighting it. He took the videos out of the bag, only five, but still. He looked at them before he looked to Travis. "Do you want me to do it or do you?" he asked softly.

Travis wasn't sure whether he was going to throw up or cry, maybe he was going to yell but what he hadn't expected was for Kaleb to hug him. He wrapped his hands around his brother's waist and hugged tightly. He didn't want to let go, if he did Travis felt like he was going to lose his world. But Kaleb did pull away and lit the fireplace. Travis eyes were unfocused however when he was asked if he wanted to burn them. He looked up at his brother and saw the tapes, he slowly walked over to his brother and took a tape from him. He stared down at it still curious as to what was on the tape but this was his moment, the moment that would change everything for him. He was going to change himself and this was the turning point. The only one that could change things was Travis himself, no one else could do it for him or make it better for him. Travis chucked the tape into the fire and released a breath that he didn't realize he was holding. Then tape after tape he tossed into the fire, it felt great to destroy something and even better knowing that it was his fathers sick obsession that he was destroying. When all the tapes were in the fire he watched the tapes crack and burn.

When all the videos were in the fire, Kaleb hugged his brother once again, holding him as the fire destroyed what ever was in the videos. He watched them and he held his bother close, almost like a life line, letting him know someone was there for him. Even though Kaleb had not been there before, he was there now. He didn't let go of Travis, not this time. He didn't knoe how their relationship would work from then on.

The warmth of another human body that he could trust felt nice, he was started to doze a little bit even having taken his pill. There was something about his brother's actions that made him melt. All the anger and built up hostility towards his brother just left him. For some reason he wanted to be close to Kaleb, wanted to be held like this ever night, wanted Kaleb to himself. Travis' eyes shot open, what was he thinking? His brother was not his alone and he was not going to do that. He was not going to become that clingy little brother even though he wasn't able to do that for most of his childhood. Travis placed his hands on his brother's shoulders as much as he could and gently pushed him away from him "Thanks..." he said softly though he didn't look his brother in the face "I think I'm ok now" Travis cleared his throat and ran a hand through his hair. He was feel nervous because of his own thoughts and he felt as if Kaleb had known what he was thinking.

Kaleb was happy to just hold his brother close and help him feel better. He watched Travis push away from him and he nodded his head to his brother. He looked at him and lifted a hand up slowly, and cupped Travis's cheek. He felt sorry that he had left Travis here to endure this hell alone. He let his hand fall after a moment and took a step back. "I'm gonna go and finish up the attic," he said softly to his brother.
