Discord is the preferred instant chatting program for most of us on Iwaku, so it is natural to wanna swap discord names to chat and plot about roleplaying, or even do your roleplaying directly on Discord. We don't mind this at all!
But please be wary and selective about new people asking for your discord name to chat off site. Sometimes these people are actually PREDATORS trying to lure you into dangerous situations.
We just had to ban someone who was sending out mass PMs for discord names, and then sent those members porn and tried to ask them about their in real life sexual habits. This kind of behavior IS NOT OKAY. >:[ We're here to write stories, often even porny stories - but Iwaku is not a place for soliciting real life sexual contact. IT'S NOT APPROPRIATE.
If you ever find yourself in a situation where a member is making inappropriate sexual comments to you or about you without your permission or consent, please report them ASAP.
Don't JUST block them! REPORT THEM. Because we do not want these kind of people on our site luring other poor members into gross and creepy situations.
It's always good to get a know a member on Iwaku through our Conversations Inboxs before giving out your discord name. And if anyone tells you the stuff they like to roleplay cant be done on Iwaku, you run SO FAST away from that person and report them. They are either trying to get around our age-restrictions or write child porn.
