Air. Water. Earth. Fire. Only the Avatar can master all four elements....
But one day, those who could not bend the elements, decided that no one would.

(Avatar Eiol's century long enslavement which led to the events below.)

The first of the four nations to fall prey to the Reorder were the Air Nomads. Their most skillful air bender neglected their culture's ideologies of peace and exclusive style of defense, and his chaotic tactics created tension and a vulnerable opening to strike.

Without warning the second nation, the water tribe was overrun and some of their own people seduced into treason. The bad blood of the familial leaders drove a wedge in the alliance of their nation as a whole, and treachery from the inside resulted in their downfall.

The third nation, the most resistant in the first hundred years, was the earth kingdom. Their old earth king soon passed and the heir was far too young to rule. A divide in the ruling caused a blinding distraction, and the invasion enveloped them before effective strategies could be enforced.

Last to succumb was the fire nation. They put up a fight for the rest of the century. Only when the new avatar grew misled and corrupted, could they no longer stand a chance during a day of black sun. Their fire was weakened and they lost control of their militia.

Choose your place. Are you an enslaved bender? A bender in hiding?
An enforcer of the Reorder? Apart of the revolt?

The Reorder

A revolutionary group of non-benders who plot to erase all benders, so that no one has special power above them. They captured the adolescent avatar and intensively bent her to their will to create her into a self-hating, inquisitor of the Reorder. Experimenting with an ancient form of chi blocking, they were able to enhance the technique and paralyze benders from their power for an extended amount of time. Their agents specialize in this chi blocking technique and use it to disable their enemies for detainment. They gained the upper hand over the four nations with the avatar at their side and withheld a dire secret that would keep their order thriving.

Fire Nation Internment Camps
A place where fire benders are denied the sun. They are chambers with eerie crystals or metallic dungeons and cold, bitter darkness.

High Prison of the Water Tribes
Built upon the ruins of a demolished air temple, a high security prison where water benders are kept far from any water below.

Earth Kingdom Ice Traps
The ice pits where earth benders can never touch or manipulate the soil of the earth ever again.

Underground Confinements of Air
The remaining air nomads were forced underground with little oxygen and where their air bending and mobility is incapacitated.

Avatar Ezria

View attachment 203281

The daughter to one of the captive Masters of the Blue Flame, Ezria was discovered at a Fire Nation internment camp where she accidentally displayed the ability to air bend along with her native fire bending capabilities. She was taken to be raised by the highest ranks of the Reorder and grew to know an in-training chi blocker, Rygo, who became like a brother to her. Guided to believe and experience her bending as a curse rather than a blessing, Ezria was manipulated her whole life to appease the motives of the Reorder. Her connection to the spirit world rejected and forbidden.

Name: Sakron Mann

Age: 25

Personality: Sakron has better been described as a cold, jaded, and heartless individual who scarcely shows his emotions. Despite this, deep down he cares about the well being of his fellow man but doesn’t want to admit it. He’s also a crass and generally unfriendly man who prefers actions over words and likes to keep conversations short.

Nation/Allegiance: Fire Nation/Revolt

Bending Element: None

History: Born to a wealthy merchant family in the heart of the fire nation’s capital. Sakron grew up fascinated by his country’s technological innovations and industrial achievements. While his parents and sister were fire benders, he was born with no such abilities, thus making him the black sheep of the family and his sister the favored child. To make up for this, Sakron dedicated all his time to strengthening his mind and gathering knowledge. If he couldn’t be as powerful as a bender, he would be smarter than one. Eventually he gave up on the spirituality and mysticism that the majority of society followed, and opted instead to dedicate his life to the philosophies of matter and science. After coming of age, he spent a majority of his career inventing things that helped the fire nation’s society, most notably medicine that helped cure a minor pandemic. Once the Reorder took over, his family was enslaved while he was offered a position with the new world order. But he refused, believing their cause to be cruel and unjust. In the end he was imprisoned like his family, but since he could not bend, instead of being relocated to a bending suppression camp, he was instead placed in a normal prison, along with all the other non benders that resisted their regime. During his time in prison Sakron used his intellect to stage numerous jail breaks that almost resorted in his and his imprisoned colleagues freedom, but the overwhelming amount of guards always ensured he failed. Eventually he was placed in a dungeon and left to rot, and has been there ever since.

Jadara

d04fb860616ff194b14fc90726716e41.jpg

Crown of the Reorder

Jadara is the great granddaughter of the Reorder's first ever leader and founder, Rygoro. As one of the most skillful chi blockers of the bunch, Jadara leads her family's legacy with her own family of the highest ranks. Her first son, Rygo was kept a secret due to her affair with a high ranking general and was raised away from the family estate by her closest servant.

Years later, Rygo rose up becoming the greatest chi blocker the Reorder has seen yet and became their rogue assassin. He remained a dirty secret and Jadara soon gave birth to his half sister to her husband that she had been disloyal to. As they hunted down every bender in all the nations, Jadara discovered a frightening revelation concerning her daughter, Neeyae.

Her daughter, Neeyae, was born with the ability to bend water. Jadara felt destroyed learning that her daughter could become a target and that her own dynasty potentially jeopardized, so she had to keep her daughter's abilities hidden. Neeyae was oppressed of her powers, but the child still practiced her power over water in secrecy.

Despite her poised appearance, Jadara conducts herself harshly especially when it comes to her rule. A notable instigator who loves to tell a good story to stir up the pot so that her everyday life never grows stale. Her love of her children and animals may be her only redeeming qualities. She is hard to fool and calculates her next moves well in advance for a thoughtful preemptive strike.

Zaru

ddu6okt-685c0aaf-0e6c-48c6-b975-8094bfa3ebcd.png

Zaru is Jadara's younger brother and the uncle of Neeyae. A royal of the Reorder. Just like his niece, Zaru was also a familial secret. Neeyae wasn't the first waterbender in the bloodline, and Zaru himself was merely a descendant of a long ancestral line.

Self appointing himself as a mentor to Neeyae, Zaru would encourage Neeyae to utilize her waterbending instead of repressing it or being ashamed. Jadara discovered them, and warned Zaru that he would be held accountable if Neeyae was ever caught.

Taking light of his sister, Zaru regretfully showed Neeyae an ancient art of bloodbending which she would become unhealthily obsessed with. Zaru reluctantly distanced himself in fear of her becoming too reckless with her power.

Zaru is the opposite of his sister, Jadara, he is laid back and carefree. His laziness might be his biggest hindrance, but he values conserving his energy for when it is time to act. Nonetheless, Zaru is far from a sluggish fighter and can go toe to toe with Rygo, their best fighter, in skill. However in contrast to Rygo's wild and aggressive style, Zaru chooses a defensive yet lethal approach.

Like a lazy cat lying around to watch the mouse get away, Zaru prefers not to bother with his expected duties. He'd rather enjoy a goblet of wine and eat delicious fruits rather than going out of his way to actively enforce anything. Only when he feels provoked does he do what is necessary to deal with a problem. He doesn't take anything too seriously nor does he waste much energy.

Sarnai

AGE
57

Nation/Allegiance
Hermit/Revolt

Bending Element
Air

Personality
Jaded, cynical, and world-weary, Sarnai desperately wishes for solitude but knows she will never have peace. Haunted by her survivor's guilt and the remorse of her past actions with the Reorder, even the small kindness of a night's rest evades her. It is perhaps because of this that she is often grumpy and quick to insult others, yet she will not hesitate to throw herself into the way of danger. Whether or not it is to redeem herself or end her suffering is unknown.

History
Born in Earth Kingdom, Sarnai, much like the rest of her immediate family, was ignorant of the fact their family's bloodline descended from a wayward monk of the Air Nomads. This knowledge held no relevance to the girl as she grew up and joined the Reorder, unintentionally fighting alongside what should have her greatest enemies. A skilled practitioner of chi-blocking techniques as well as a multitude of weapons she had mastered with a zeal for the ideals of the Reorder, Sarnai rose quickly up the ranks.

That was until that sliver of blood from her Air Nomad ancestor presented itself during what should have been a routine mission apprehending fugitive benders. Faced with a life-threatening situation, the very winds themselves came to assist her, yet by doing so, she had ousted herself without even knowing. Shocked and horrified at what had occurred, she panicked upon being confronted by her comrades and fought tooth and nail in a bloody escape.

The realization of her actions stuck her far later than they should have, thanks in part to Sarnai trying to deny what had happened despite living a life checking over her shoulder while being on the run. The misery she had brought to others, poisoned by the prejudices she had once passionately believed, the many acquaintances and friends she betrayed upon learning they were benders; the weight of the knowledge had almost driven her mad. Initially, she sought atonement through isolation, cutting herself from all human contact in the seclusion of the deep wilderness. Despite this, she still found herself practicing her martial arts and experimenting with her newfound air bending. Perhaps she truly knew that her isolation would be merely a sojourn from the inevitable.

Her hermitage came to an end the day they came: the Reorder's head-hunters. A betrayal like hers would never be forgotten, nor forgiven, but even those whose blood burned for vengeance found themselves ill-equipped to face her. It was then she knew that she could not leave her past unaddressed. If she sought peace, she would have to answer for her crimes, whether it was through dismantling the organization she once lived and breathed for, or to die trying.

That was very well put together ;D I love Sarnai's character! She is accepted.
I might write up an in depth sheet for Ezria now that I feel inspired by your sheet to do so (:

Name: Karasu
Age: 25
Personality: Karasu was once a Gentle, Kind and Patient young woman, but now she can be described as Cold-Hearted, Hateful and Hot Tempered. The imprisonment of her nation's benders have stripped her of the gentle heart she has once retained and the Fire Nation of its pride, replaced by a lust for revenge against the Reorder. Her Hardened and Cold Exterior still belies a Gentle heart as much as she does not wish to admit it.

Nation/Allegiance: Fire Nation/Bender In Hiding
Bending Element: Fire

History: Karasu was born into a Military Family within the Fire Nation as the Youngest Daughter, having three older brothers and three older sisters. Her Father was an accomplished General while her Mother was a Combat Instructor. Although her Mother was not a Bender, she still excelled in a different way and was a skilled Archer, Swordswoman and Tactician. While all her Brothers inherited their Father's abilities, Karasu is the only one out of her Sisters to possess this trait, while the other three inherited their Mother's skills. All seven siblings would go to continue their familial tradition of serving in the Fire Nation's Military. Unfortunately, their careers were ill-fated thanks to the Reorder during the Fire Nation's final years against their latest enemy after the other three nations fell before them.

Despite putting up a long and hard fight, the Fire Nation eventually succumbed and her Father was publicly executed, igniting the hatred towards the Reorder in her heart and mind. After her Father was executed, all three of her Brothers were captured and sent to the Fire Nation Internment Camps to never see the sun again, while her Sisters were taken as Prisoners of War, sent to Labor Camps. The last strike to her heart was her Mother's Death, brought on by heartbreak from losing her husband and all her children...gone.

Alone, Karasu had to learn to conceal her Fire-Bending abilities, which, over time, became dwarfed by her skill with the Sword. Now living in what is considered a normal society, Karasu eventually married, but this was not to last as her Husband's Fire-Bending was exposed and he would choose death over imprisonment, much to her own disbelief. But he left her one last gift...

Shortly after becoming a Widow, Karasu learned that she was expecting. Now on her way to being a single mother, she is faced with two choices: Spend the rest of her days in solitude and in hiding, or lend a hand to a growing resistance and attempt to create a world where she can raise her child happily. Weary, terrified, but determined, Karasu will one way, or another, show the Reorder that nothing is more fierce then a Mother's Love.

Name: Vette Vo Cho

Age: 19

Appearance:

If one were to approach Vette, in the right winds, the very first thing of note would be the omnipresent scent of smoke, ozone, and copper. Next would be the shock of bright blonde hair kept short in an attempted single-length bob. A sharp face that is naturally complemented by a wide, often smiling, mouth, minus a few teeth, and largish, doe brown eyes.

Unfortunately, due to her inherited profession, Vette has suffered many injuries in the line of duty. Mostly minor and quite topical, there is plenty of scarring and burns running around her hands and across her chest. The tips of her hair are often singed black and she seems covered in a perpetual layer of soot.

Young, tall, tan, and rather amply built, Vette hides much of her shaped figure under her heavy clothing and gear. Vette often forgoes much of the classic Fire Nation aesthetic as her own personal projects take precedence over what could be considered dead kingdoms. Leaning less towards reds and much closer to oranges, yellows, and blacks, much of her clothing though is purely utilitarian. Preferring clothing with lots of pockets and work overalls as well as oversized boots and gloves.

When not working, her clothing is conservative and reflects the fact that she is of the lower classes and doesn’t have much wealth outside her owned assets.

Region of Origin: Fire Nation, Heiress to the dead Noble House Vo Cho and Granddaughter to the Storm Duke Vey Vo Cho

Role: Inventor and former heir to the School of Lightning

Combat Abilities:

As far as bending the flame to her will, Vette was far less competent than others. Fire is almost incapable of being bent by her. But there are other forms of fire out there that her lineage has always been attuned to. Lightning. Capable of internalizing and controlling the refined flame, the Vo Cho family has always been linked to the teachings and heritage of the sky fire. Vette is however at the mercy of this power and has very little refined control over it due to her training and lineage being severed. She is just as likely to explode as she is to project a bolt towards an intended target.

Mastery is years away, and most likely impaired by her own misalignment of her ki. The loss of her father, home, family, and general derangement has harmed her deeply, rendering her abilities just as wild and unpredictable as the storms she wields.

Non-Combat Abilities: An engineer of sorts, Vette has been trained and raised within the schools of Fire Nation technologies and as such has an innate understanding of industry and machinery. Along with this, Vette was also granted training in the ways of the mixtures and formulas. Mixing and matching to find ingredients that suit her needs, most of which being industrial in application though the knowledge for more useful application is there.

Equipment:
Apart from her clothing, covered wagon, and basic engineering supplies. Vette owns nothing of note except hundreds of foot tall clay pots, sealed and with two bits of metal sticking out. Something she has dubbed, batteries.

The wagon itself is of classic fire nation design, ornate on the outside yet somehow spacious inside, with considerable amounts of metal worked into the design. Inside is a classic layout, a small kitchen, table, built-in beds, and a lounging seat. Simple, efficient, and utterly without means to move it. Her dragonmoose pack animal long gone. So she sits, making batteries to vent out her own build-ups of energy and wallowing in the aftermath of the Reorders intentions.

Personality:

Like the element she bends, Vette is a bolt in her own right. Headstrong, loud, half-crazed, and powerful. She’s prone to being politely called ‘a bit much’. Her loudness, brazen attitude, and general dismissal of others that she's dubbed 'critics' will often drive others away before they get a chance to know her. Keeping people at arms-length has been a successful coping mechanism and kept her off the minds of most people who write her off as a manic hermit of sorts. On the other side of the spectrum, Vette does not take failure well. A proud being in her own right, each little failure is magnified tenfold. When this happens, Vette will wallow and spiral downwards, eventually ending up in her bed, barely moving for a few days before recovering.

When caught in between extremes, Vette at her best is a brave, intelligent, and fiercely loyal young woman, honor-bound to carry on the work of her Family and eventually find a way to find vengeance and reclaim her familial estate from the Reorder.

Backstory:

The Vo Cho family once was something. A clan of dreamers and forward thinkers, bound together by the love of family, honor, and the idea that they could change the world for the better. That all changed with the Reorder. As the Reorder grew more powerful, so the Vo Cho family grew weaker. Proven machines of war driven by coal took precedence over experimental and temperamental designs. The Fire Lords grew tired of the constant failure of far fetched ideas against the Reorder Cult.

As the Fire Lords fell, so did the last vestige of protection against the Reorder.

It wasn't until the Reorder had begun the processes of seizing the Vo Cho estate and 'processing' the family. The youngest Vo Cho, the last of the line. A daughter by the name of Vette. A charming little thing that held her father's hand while he puttered around his workshop would be spirited away as the flames of her home burned behind her. Fleeing into the night with the servants, Vette was overlooked and lost in the machinations of the Reorder and lost to most.

Still recovering from the loss of her mother eight years prior, Vette was a broken child. Traveling to safety with the servants, there was little they could do with the young Bender apart from keeping her hidden and raising her best they could, keeping her out of the public eye and letting her grow as she may. Over time, growing bitter and frustrated with the servants and with her own bending being misaligned, Vette's mental state began to falter and she grew convinced that she could discover a method to destroy the Reorder on her own and in her own way.

Alone, half crazy, and committed to her plot for vengeance, Vette travels and works when/wherever she can to fund her research and hopefully find a breakthrough in her work and maybe one in her own mind.
