"Some of these people's powers are really interesting, and from what I can tell this is the most this place has gotten in a single day. We shouldn't expect to see more until they make room."
"Did you see that kid fire a bullet made of his blood? That should hurt more than it looks like it did."
"Maybe he has the regenerative ability to cover the difference, but I'm betting he gets anemic after a few shots. It's the girl who conjured a pit of water out of nowhere that gets me."
"She is pretty cute." In response, only a brief pause accompanied her sister's disappointed gaze.
"What?" she continued. "All I'm saying is that for someone who just got off the drug bus, she doesn't look half bad."
Twins Quinn and Reine had been at the facility for nearly 24 hours now, and took to staying on the rooftops or their room whenever they were free. They found out that while basically a swanky prison, CA-I3 was a good place for learning about one's powers in an environment that didn't put normal humans in harm's way, and the large buildings gave them plenty of space for motion. Quinn took the opportunity to get an in depth analysis on the state of their abilities, which had gone unused for almost a week.
Still, their first day was... unwelcoming, considering the other inmates. Unlike many, the twins arrived with a companion in each other, making them easy targets for a bit of ridicule. Stolen away from their homes and families, few took the experience in stride, but as long as the LeBlancs had each other they were more than willing to suffer through anything.
"It doesn't look like anything else exciting is going to happen, and it feels like a waste just sitting here taking shots in the dark. We'll find out all of their powers soon enough." Quinn stood up on the dormitories' roof, holding out her hand for her sister when most of the inmates were stamped and finding their roommates or settling in. "Let's get back to practice. We need to make up for the week we spent doing nothing, and if we keep a good training regimen we'll be out of here in no time."
Reine, matching Quinn's grip, stood with her. Pieces of an incomplete armor formed against their bodies with a blackened hue. Reine took a step away from the roof's edge, and in an instant the only thing remaining in the twins' place was a gust of wind and the dust from the stone.
