Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin

SETTING: Our heroes have just signed up as trainees to join military! Our story begins several years before the 840 attack, with the first day of training. As our story progresses, we will see them progressing through training and then into the branches of the military: the Scouting Legion, the Stationary Guard, and the Military Police.

PLOT: Completely separate from the main plot of the anime/manga, our characters will experience the events of Attack on Titan through a third party's eyes. By the 840 attack, our characters are already in their branches. As a note, those in the Scouting Legion will be away during the 840 attack, but will have their own story arc to follow, as there were many injured during their scouting mission. From there, we may create another arc until the 845 attack, but that is still undecided.

CHARACTERS: Players can have up to two characters, though they cannot be in the same division of the military. Players who talk to me beforehand can ask to be normal citizens, though shifter titans will be decided upon later as our story progresses. I ask that character sheets be made, which can be as simple as this:

*dies from blood loss*

Name: Taylor Devereux

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Personality: Taylor is very flamboyant and seldom shows serious effort in her duties, yet somehow manages to work efficiently. She possess an exceptional sense of ambition and only wants the best for her comrades. She's got lots of flaws and insecurities, but that can never stop her from becoming a better person.

Possibly the best moments to capture her smiling genuinely is when it's least expected. Especially when she's deep in thought, thinking of a happy memory - she'll smile. However, thanks to witnessing hell since leaving the Stohess District, this act is rarely performed by her. She remains inexpressive and hotheaded most of the times.
Her tiny bladder is a burden to mankind.

Biography:
". . .I was safe and then I find myself in the midst of a bloody battlefield."
Above all else, Taylor's upbringing and possibly even months before she was born was filled with only good memories. She was born and raised in the Stohess District of Wall Sina, having lived the luxurious life of a prima donna for a few relatively pleasant years. Regardless of the horrors occurring outside the walls, Taylor's family was never burdened with worries or paranoia of the titans reaching them. To put it simply unlike the unfortunate children born in the outskirts of Wall Maria, Taylor was a sheltered child and never experienced life-altering pain. She was accustomed to being pampered, protected over, and practically getting everything she asked for. Thus, the grave news of her relatives from Hermiha District being evacuated out of their homes nearly took a toll on her. At this very moment, Taylor finally came to realization that not everything stay the way it is. Unless one were to work extremely hard for what they're aiming for, nothing will change. And because of that, little nine year old Taylor grew up striving for her own purpose.
"To think all this time life was supposedly comfortable and free from all those horrendous harm."
Upon reaching her early rebellious years, Taylor's outlook towards the world changed drastically - even without anyone else noticing it. From a pristine and respectful daughter who only spoke when addressed, to someone courageous and fearless. Her parents, wanting to preserve their high social status only claimed her behavior as 'part of the hormones'. But behind closed doors, she'd get an earful for disobedience more so than not that it nearly frightened them. Maybe, just maybe, she'll eventually want to join the Survey Corps as well. Oh the horrors! Thinking it would save their daughter from making the 'worst' decision of her life, they made sure to keep a close watch on her. But it was too late. She'd already gotten a glimpse of her future as a member of the Scouting Legion. She'd often sneak off to explore beyond Wall Sina and hoped to discover something new, while her parents were preoccupied with work. But when a chance of opportunity pushed her into leaving her comfortable life in Stophess District, nothing remained the same. Not receiving much information as to why her parents were sending her away, Taylor feared it was a punishment for her unruly behavior. Prior to their disappearance, Taylor was temporarily placed beneath the care of the Klein household. In Wall Rose. Away from the luxurious life she was so used to having. When her parents didn't return home, she took it upon herself to go searching for them.
With no one to discourage her from pursuing a chance to be part of the Scouting Legion, Taylor undergoes training at a tender age of fourteen and fortunately, thanks to the previous years of mimicking techniques used by soldiers, she excelled at hand-to-hand combat. But she was never prepared to encounter the life-altering incident that forever changed her perceptive towards the world.
{ I had my friend help me out with this part so partial credit goes to her. }
Taylor cannot completely relate to the terror many of her fellow soldiers once faced. Up until undergoing training, she'd never even seen a titan. She always had to settle for wild, exaggerated tales of her peers, such as of the Titan who leaped over the wall, or the titan clad in steel armor strong enough to protect it from the strength of a thousand cannons, or how even the smallest of Titans were large enough to carry one hundred people in the palm of their hand.
Those she always found utterly ridiculous.
Unlike her peers, though, Taylor was far more concerned with the staggering number of children orphaned, women widowed, and families lost and divided.
Of course, ever the realist, she knew that by herself, she was no more than a pawn of the military who had a pretty slim chance of ever making a real difference. Especially with her impending blindness. Even so, she etched into her mind that being slaughtered in the name of justice was far more justified than withering away safe within the walls for the next seventy years.

Additional Information:
- Cone-Rod Dystrophy -

{ { A cone dystrophy is an inherited ocular disorder characterized by the loss of cone cells, the photoreceptors responsible for both central and color vision.
The most common symptoms of cone dystrophy are vision loss (age of onset ranging from the late teens to the sixties), sensitivity to bright lights, and poor color vision. Therefore, patients see better at dusk. Visual acuity usually deteriorates gradually, but it can deteriorate rapidly to 20/200; later, in more severe cases, it drops to "counting fingers" vision. Color vision testing using color test plates (HRR series) reveals many errors on both red-green and blue-yellow plates. } }
Taylor was diagnosed with the hereditary optic atrophies, something that her grandmother's side of the family had. It is assumed that her vision will completely vanish before she reaches adulthood. She has a few more years left, but with the condition worsening, there's no telling whether she'll lose it earlier before due time.
- Basically she blacks out, has trouble seeing clearly, loses her balance, and feels her world 'blurring' unexpectedly and sometimes in the wrong time. -
