Welcome to the world of Disboard.

You're here because you belong in this world. Not the human one where games take a backseat to business and life. In this world, games are life. In this world, nothing matters but the game. This is the world that you belong in.

You probably already know the rules. But here they are anyway, just in case you've forgotten. These ten rules are the sole laws that govern this world. Obey them. Find ways around them. Do as you must, for this world is a huge game, but never break them.

1. All murder, war, and robbery is forbidden in this world.
2. All conflict in this world will be resolved through games.
3. In games, each player will bet something that they agree is of equal value.
4. As long as it doesn't violate pledge three, anything may be bet, and any game may be played.
5. The challenged party has the right to decide the rules of the game.
6. Any bets made in accordance with the pledges must be upheld.
7. Conflicts between groups will be conducted by designated representatives with absolute authority.
8. Being caught cheating during a game is grounds for an instant loss.
9. In the name of God, the previous rules may never be changed.
10. Let's all have fun and play together!

Rules
In addition to the Ten Pledges, we ask that all players also abide by the following out of courtesy to their fellow players:

Do not godmod or puppet other OCs. There is no tolerance for godmodding. Any godmodders will be kicked out immediately.
I understand that in a world where everything is determined by games of chance and skill, it's extremely hard to lose. Remember that you are not invincible, and try to lose every once in an often.
There are slots in the character profile for "special abilities." Note that if you are human, you can't have any supernatural powers.
When you choose a race of the Exceed, choose something that hasn't been taken yet/is still available. Fill up all the slots!
Tet demands a post ranging from 3-8 paragraphs. No more, no less.
To join the roleplay, fill out a form and send it to me. Further directions below.
If you are leaving for more than 3 days, please notify the roleplay admin [me, but roleplay admin sounds more official]. If you do not post for more than 2 weeks, your character itself may or may not be given to another person.​

The Way the Games Work

Aschente! takes place in Disboard, and therefore will have the same rules as those in Disboard. You will still play games to resolve any conflicts.
Obviously, you can play games for fun.

If you are challenged to a game, you have no choice but to accept. You and said person will work out the details of your game in the roleplay itself for all of us to see. Then, once the game begins and both players end their respective posts with

And a number from 1-16 of your choosing. This is one of the most important parts. Please please please do not forget to choose a number from 1-16.

And proceed to select in the lower right corner of your post:

You will input 1 and 6 for the respective spaces, and the person whose guessed number is closer to the rolled number wins. Please don't cheat. It's not fun if you cheat.

Yes, I realize that this is not skill. This is chance. I don't like it either, but it's the fairest thing I can think of right now.

However, if you and your opponent can find a better way to resolve games, then I insist that you do so and share your methods with the rest of us. Winning by chance is pretty boring, and it's a lot more fun if you reason stuff out!
