Personality and Biography

“I want to know if it is a crime to live as you are, when you are different from others.”

Kirei Kotomine is, in a word, defective. He was born defective, and has lived out all of his life defective. Despite being raised a devout Catholic and being consistently exposed to the teachings of the Holy Church, Kirei Kotomine is, for lack of a better term, evil, although it is not by choice - Kirei’s emotions are inverted in a sense. What brings other people joy, causes Kirei to feel absolutely nothing. The despair of others is one of very few things Kirei is able to derive joy from, a fact that he has faced his entire life and despises in line with his teachings. For his entire life, despite his commendable accomplishments, Kirei has felt absolutely no joy from them, describing himself as a hollow human being.

However, Kirei still devotes himself fully to his teachings, going as far as to become a Priest of the Holy Church as well as an Executor, further bringing into the light many of his doubts; Kirei believes himself to be defective, and desperately desires an answer to his prayers, clarity to wash away the cloud that hangs over his emotions - over time, as he matured, he threw himself into all manner of pursuits in an attempt to “correct” his defect, none of which worked. He threw himself entirely into his work under his father, despite feeling absolutely no sense of purpose from it - he could consider no ideal noble, and was physically unable to believe in the inherent goodness of God, although he still believed in a supreme being, and prayed often that he would be given salvation by God. His inner conflict stems from this, in part; his true nature goes against what he has been taught all his life, and Kirei came to believe that the act of feeling joy in and of itself is a sin, branding himself monstrous and inhuman for deriving joy from others’ suffering and devoting himself instead to his correction, going as far as to start a family.

Kirei met his soon-to-be wife, Claudia Hortensia, as she was terminally ill, with only a few years left to live. He strove to overcome his evil nature through the mundane pleasure of starting a family, and while she eventually fell pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, Kirei could still feel no joy, save for the joy of watching his wife suffer in pain due to the nature of her illness and the sorrow of inevitably leaving Kirei and her daughter behind. Claudia understood his nature and desired to save him from it, but even she could only amplify his desire to see her suffer. Eventually, Kirei planned to end his own life, feeling immense shame over starting a family “as an experiment”, visiting her in the hospital to say goodbye, stating that he could not love her no matter how hard he tried. Claudia denied the claim, stating that he did love her before taking her own life. As Kirei wept, Claudia declared it proof that he was capable of love as she died. In truth, Kirei only wept for one thing.

He had wanted to kill her himself.

However, this grief was not born from being denied the pleasure - it was the climax of his own inner conflict, feeling such immense guilt that for the first time he was brought to tears as a result of his condition, knowing that even toward the woman he loved (or should have), he felt pleasure from nothing but her suffering. After this event, Kirei threw himself fully into the teachings of the Church, burying his inclinations deep and refusing to indulge himself, digging his heels in on the belief that the experience of joy was itself a sin for one such as himself.

That was, until the Fourth Grail War.

During the Fourth Grail War, Kirei was chosen as the Master of the Assassin-class Servant by the Holy Grail. He expressed genuine confusion at this choice, claiming that he had no wish, no ideal and no aspiration for the Holy Grail to grant, but agreed to serve as an agent for another combatant in the war, the master of Gilgamesh, Tokiomi Tohsaka. During the course of the war, Gilgamesh and Kirei became more and more well-acquainted, with Gilgamesh bemoaning Tokiomi’s cowardly and traditional nature to Kirei and encouraging him to explore what brought him joy, potentially in a manipulative manner to remove Tokiomi from the fray. No matter the cause, eventually, Gilgamesh encouraged Kirei to kill Tokiomi after the death of his Servant, Assassin, stabbing him in the back with a dagger gifted to Kirei by Tohsaka as a result of his training under the Tohsaka mage as an apprentice being completed. After this, Gilgamesh and Kirei forged their own pact, and Kirei eventually came to accept his own nature, deriving joy from the suffering of those such as Kariya Matou who had entered the war entirely for the sake of someone else and endured tremendous agony to save them.

Kirei then went on to become the overseer of the Fifth Holy Grail War, acting as both an ally and enemy to Shirou Emiya in the aftermath of Sakura Matou’s transformation, offering his assistance and recognising the threat that Sakura poses and demonstrating his sensibility and pragmatism. During this time, he spoke to Shirou of his father, Kiritsugu Emiya, who he had become obsessed with over the course of the Fourth Grail War due to their perceived similarities. Kirei spoke of his envy toward Kiritsugu - Kiritsugu and Kirei, to Kirei’s knowledge, were very similar in that they were both hollow people in search of higher meaning. Kirei envied Kiritsugu for throwing away his humanity for his ideals, while Kirei desired to do exactly the opposite deep down.

Over the course of the Fifth Grail War, Kirei’s goal changed - he desired, more than anything else, to bring forth the birth of Angra Mainyu via the Holy Grail, to answer the question he has desired to know all his life; whether it is possible for a being to be born evil. If Angra Mainyu did not feel regret for destroying humanity, then Kirei’s condition would have been justified, and his doubts finally removed. Through the answer to this question, Kirei would have finally attained his enlightenment - that is, if he lived to see it through.

Kirei Kotomine, otherwise, is a generally calm and collected individual, rarely betraying any emotion even if a situation calls for it. He rarely expresses joy save for when he sees others suffer, and rage on occasion, as is the case with individuals such as Kiritsugu Emiya. He is also a potent killer, acting as an Executor for the Holy Church, but does not appear to enjoy senseless violence as opposed to observing those who suffer for a fruitless end goal, such as Kariya Matou. He is pragmatic and logical in almost all pursuits, acting both as Overseer and as a Master in the Fifth Grail War, showing that he is capable of engineering events to his benefit and is a potent mastermind, as well as being able to ally himself with those whom he would otherwise oppose ideologically, the primary example of this being allying with Shirou Emiya in an attempt to dispose of Sakura Matou. In most pursuits, however, either as a front or simply because it is what he has been taught, he follows the teachings of the Holy Church and acts as a devout Catholic, able to dispense advice to those who need it when it is necessary but never outright acting for the benefit of others save for when it suits him.

Powers and Abilities

“Conflict is humanity’s primal instinct. Eliminating it would mean eliminating humanity itself.”

Kirei is a supernaturally gifted combatant, acting as an Executor for the Holy Church for an entire decade of his life and possessing the strength and experiences to match it, as well as possessing moderate talent in multiple fields of magecraft and mastery over the use of Command Seals. Feats that Kirei has performed concerning physical strength include, but are not limited to, breaking a tree his hands have been bound to in half with nothing but his own upper body strength, leaping ten meters into the air and snatching a foe out of a tree, and running roughly fifty kilometers an hour through a dense forest while carrying a child in his arms, with no obvious signs of reinforcing his physical acumen through magecraft and demonstrating no visible fatigue after the fact. These feats and more indicate that he possesses superhuman speed, strength and stamina, only bolstered further through the use of such magecraft techniques as Black Keys, bolstering his offense and defense via Command Seals, and reinforcement magic.

Kirei also practices an altered form of Bajiquan, a technique born from the blending of martial arts with magecraft, that allow him to combine his immense physical strength and speed with techniques that render him capable of destroying a human being’s heart with a single punch to the chest. He was originally taught this art by his father, Risei Kotomine, but over his tenure as an Executor the style has warped into a far more bloodthirsty shadow of itself specializing in isolating and destroying vital parts of the human body with well-placed strikes, bolstered by magecraft.

Kirei does not actually possess a great degree of magical talent, forced to rely primarily on his own physical acumen to defeat opponents who specialise in magecraft more effectively. His time as an Executor has enabled him to learn a plethora of techniques for killing mages, and while he possesses Magic Circuits of his own, bestowed by a divine miracle, they are extremely weak. However, in his battle with Kiritsugu Emiya, Kirei realised that Kiritsugu was moving at double, triple or even quadruple his normal speed and adjusted his own movement to compensate, deflecting blows from landing multiple strikes on an opponent moving four times as fast as him.

XkaaAK.gif

Kirei’s primary specialty magic-wise is spiritual healing, being one of the few fields of magic he explicitly excelled at under Tokiomi Tohsaka. This kind of healing is not oriented toward combat, and could instead be likened more toward something akin to magical ‘surgery’, a far lengthier and more precise process for dire injuries through the healing of the soul rather than the body. This technique is also capable of removing Command Spells from the nervous system, as well as healing various spiritual infections. Kirei also possesses the ability, using Command Seals or not, to reinforce objects to the point that they are able to deflect bullets and similar projectiles, another skill he put to great use in his battle with Kiritsugu Emiya by reinforcing his bulletproof frock - in addition, using a Command Seal, he was able to deflect one of Kiritsugu’s Origin Rounds by thickening the blades of his Black Keys, the mana source itself dissipating before the Origin Round could destroy Kirei’s magic circuits.

Kirei’s primary weapon of choice are Black Keys, thin blades resembling rapiers roughly a meter in length that are only partially solid, their blades conjured by magecraft; as a result, he is able to store the hilts of the blades on his person and draw them whenever necessary, able to store at least twenty beneath his coat at any given time. Due to their partially magical nature, Kirei is also capable of bolstering their durability through the use of reinforcement magic and Command Seals. They can be used as melee weapons or projectiles, with Kirei able to hold four in one hand at one time and able to throw one in roughly 0.3 seconds, maintaining remarkable accuracy even if the target is unconfirmed.

tumblr_mn0gflYZv01r3ifxzo1_500.gif

Acting as the Overseer of the Fifth Grail War after the death of his father, Kirei inherited the Command Seals that Risei bore; eleven in total, retained from past Grail Wars, in addition to the three he received from the Holy Grail itself. He is able to use these Command Seals in place of his own magic circuits to bolster his own physical and magical abilities to even greater heights, circumventing the effect of Kiritsugu Emiya’s Origin Rounds in the process. Amongst other things, the Command Seals allow him to increase the size and durability of his Black Keys, bolster his speed and striking power, and, perhaps most recognisably, bolster his own durability to allow an Origin Round to strike his hand before redirecting the bullet so that it exited his body through his elbow, nullifying its toxic properties. He is also able to use his Command Seals to heal grievous wounds and relieve even the most dire diseases, as shown by when he was able to use all of his remaining Command Seals to remove the Crest Worms from Sakura Matou’s body as well as awakening her link to Angra Mainyu, the true contents of the Holy Grail.

1642956501394.png

One of Kirei’s most potent spells is the Baptismal Rite, the sole magical incantation taught to members of the Holy Church. It is effective immediately once spoken and is immensely effective against spiritual bodies, its physical interference being far weaker, although it still does not possess enough power to banish a Heroic Spirit in most cases.

"I will kill. I will let live. I will harm and heal. None will escape me. None will escape my sight.
Be crushed.
I welcome those who have grown old and those who have lost.
Devote yourself to me, learn from me, and obey me.
Rest. Do not forget song, do not forget prayer, and do not forget me.
I am light and relieve you of all your burdens.
Do not pretend. Retribution for forgiveness, betrayal for trust, despair for hope, darkness for light, dark death for the living.
Relief is in my hands. I will add oil to your sins and leave a mark.
Eternal life is given through death.
— Ask for forgiveness here. I, the incarnation, will swear.

— Kyrie eleison".

Kirei is, in the literal sense, undead - after being shot in the heart by Kiritsugu Emiya, he was submerged in the black mud pouring out from the Holy Grail and subsequently gifted an artificial black heart courtesy of Angra Mainyu, allowing him to survive the Holy Grail War albeit relying on Angra Mainyu’s magical energy to do so, functioning akin to a walking corpse - even when this heart is removed, such as when Sakura Matou punctures it in Heaven’s Feel, Kirei is capable of surviving for two days at least and even holding his own against Shirou Emiya in a fistfight, despite the both of them being extremely wounded and on the verge of death.

Equipment

"There are worthless things, but there are no meaningless things."

Fourteen Command Seals, inherited from Kirei's pact with Gilgamesh as well as from his father, the previous Overseer of the Holy Grail War. Twenty Black Keys, stored within his coat for use at his leisure. A necklace of the Cross, a symbol of Kirei's faith.

Entry Fee

"I envy you people. What I sought, but could not obtain. What I obtained, but could not obtain. Many things slipped out between my fingers, no matter what commandment I used."

Kirei Kotomine is a unique case as far as the Reaper's Game's entry fee is concerned - he has very little that is sentimental to him, and what little he felt any connection to has long-since been lost. Faced with few alternatives, Kirei surrendered the memories of his wife, Claudia Hortensia. Why this choice was offered to him, and not any other, eluded him even as the bargain was struck.

Personality:
Shantae is quite the expressive genie, she’s upbeat and has a fair amount of confidence while being up to the task in any situation, especially when trying to protect her home town from pirates. She’s the type of person that wants to get things done and isn’t up to wasting any time in any important task. Although kind at heart she can get annoyed when someone pushes her buttons and dislikes when people try to cause trouble.

Powers/Abilities:
Shantae’s main source of attack is using her hair to whip foes, sort of like a lasso in a way but a lot more fashionable, that isn’t the only thing up her sleeve though as she also has a few other nifty tricks such as shooting fire, reflecting projectiles with a shield or summoning spiked metal balls that surround her.

But her most noteworthy ability is to transform into different animals and objects by doing some sick dance moves. These range from a monkey that can climb up walls to a large elephant that destroys harder materials in its wake.

Equipment:
Not that much, the only notable thing being some sardines she brought with her in case she gets hungry.

Entry Fee:
In order to enter she must forfeit her memories of her first encounter with Risky Boots. (Must've felt like forever ago!)

The wiki doesn't do much more than list the names of, like, five spells. I couldn't use that for this if I wanted to.
Schezo is a dark mage. As such, he can harness the power of darkness to perform a wide variety of spells, a few of which are listed below. More often than not, he'll use the energy produced by Puyos popping as a means of performing these at home. It's more enjoyable and takes much less effort, but by no means required. He claimed his victory over the star-summoning dark mage and the celestial-body-moving witch required to defeat him long before he adopted the concept of Puyo battles.

==Puyo Puyo==

Here's a link to some information I've compiled (🥁) on Puyos, which this character uses:

== Basic Spells ==

Thunderstorm: Discharges a bolt of lightning at the opponent. It either comes from the sky like a traditional lightning bolt, holding frightening accuracy and low power, or is channeled through a medium, sporting less accuracy, more power, and the ability to be used as a physical attack rather than a projectile. It's also been shown to go through walls. As Schezo's favorite of the basic spells, he has perfected it so to speak. When cast upward through a medium, it disperses the spell around him, costing more magic and unevenly filling the area with electricity.

Ice Storm: Projects ice magic at the opponent in the shape of comically large snowflakes. Schezo projects the spell faster by swinging his blade at the ill-formed mass of ice magic, shattering the soon-to-be snowflakes into jagged shards of ice that fall from above. Alternatively, he can cast the spell upward, causing shards of ice the size of his body to rise from the ground.

Blizzard: Unleashes a concentrated ray of ice magic, taking the form of a stream of normal-sized snowflakes.

Flame Storm: Sends a string of fireballs at the opponent, all of which explode on contact. Much like with Ice Storm, Schezo projects it faster by swinging his blade at the fire magic before it takes proper form, turning it into a wave of flame that follows the path of the blade. Alternatively, he can cast it upwards, causing pillars of flame the size of his body to briefly appear.

Fire: Casts a ball of flame that explodes on contact. The basic spells barely drain his magic, and with Fire being among the most basic, it's virtually inexpensive to cast. That's not to say the spell is pitiful -- casting it at its weakest is enough to heat up an entire tower floor.

Crash/Clash: Casts a burst of nondescript magic. The spell itself is typically on the same level as Fire in terms of power, launching foes instead of scorching them.

== Passive Spells ==

Diacute: It enhances one of the spells cast after it, typically by increasing the size and power. Depending on the degree the spell has been enhanced to, the shape of the spell can change drastically.

Brain Dumbed/Mind Beam: Subjects the target to an overwhelming wave of complete and utter stupidity. This typically results in the opponent doing nothing and/or their attack power lowering momentarily.

Sleep: Very briefly sends the opponent into a deep sleep. The strongest of wills can break the spell just short of the time it takes to cast another.

Light: Summons a ball of light that illuminates the room. With enough magic, it can also be used as the equivalent of a flashbang.

Purifa: A simple spell that removes poisonous effects from the targeted individual.

Revia: Forms a completely transparent barrier of magic that, once attacked, reflects the damage dealt. It can only withstand a single blow unless enhanced.

Healing: An effective spell that heals the user or their targeted individual. A few uses should put them at roughly their peak fighting condition.

Condeia: A simple spell that removes abnormalities other than poison (i.e. lowered strength, paralysis, etc.)

== Dark Magic ==

Lwark Void: It lowers the target's defense, so to speak. As a result of Schezo's expertise in the field of dark magic, he can do so in a way that deals damage as well.

Eclipse: Also technically passive. It shrouds the target in darkness, increasing their defense.

Night Blade/Sting Shade: Calls upon the darkness, pulling it around the user's general area. With a second motion — usually the tilt of the Dark Sword — all of it pulses with dark magic at once, inflicting damage. Should he feel the need to do so, all of the magic used here can be projected outward as one massive stream of dark magic that spirals outward.

Areiado: Upon casting the spell, a spell circle materializes around the target, sending relatively minor jolts of electricity around the edge to deter them from leaving as Schezo gathers power. Once enough has been gathered, the space is engulfed in darkness, rapidly harming the victim within for a second or two before dissipating. Alternatively, the entirety of the spell can be concentrated and projected as a somewhat small, cyan projectile that deals the above damage on contact, concentrated in a small burst. The aforementioned projectile can be forced to detonate sooner with another gesture.

Star Strike: Refers specifically to the first method of casting Areiado.

Shadow Edge: Pulls energy into a medium and rebounds it. This tends to take the shape of anywhere from three to nine blue, magically sharpened projectiles. They can, alternatively, all be fired all at once from his hand as a mass of tangible dark magic, taking the form of a mess of pitch-black blades.

Sagitta Adamas/Diamond Arrow: Fundamentally similar to the first method of casting Shadow Edge. As opposed to throwing larger projectiles, it spews hundreds of smaller ones. That said, it doesn't detract from the overall power of the spell, it simply expands the reach.

Kirisake: The Dark Sword (or any other sharp object, for that matter) is enveloped in either a dark aura or white-hot energy, allowing for an incredibly powerful and magic-imbued blow -- one that has canonically torn through the fabric of space and time out of desperation, or in other words, at less than peak condition. The spell can also summon a massive blade out of thin air, allowing it to linger long enough to perform a broad slash before disappearing.

Areiado Special: Part of what makes the Areiado Special a special Areiado is not just the amount of magic put into it, but how it's used. He will almost always channel it through himself, as opposed to projecting it onto his target. Through this, he has developed several different ways of using the magic. One of them includes granting him the power to move so quickly, he appears to be teleporting about, dealing swift and powerful slashes that would make his Kirisake blush. Another includes releasing all of it in a single, blinding white explosion, the likes of which atomizes anything in sight.

Shockwave: Refers specifically to the explosive variation of the Areiado Special.

Dunamis/Parry: A rudimentary and incredibly effective method of repelling attacks. Schezo momentarily halts the approach of an attack with his dark magic, rapidly expelling more until the attack has either been neutralized or completely reflected.

== Misc. ==

Schezo's tendency to chase opponents for power, compounded with his magical experience, has given him the ability to remotely gauge how powerful an opponent is, as well as the intent behind said power. This has proven to be useful in other ways, such as detecting unfamiliar presences and differentiating an irregular aura from one's natural aura.

Detecting magic that's prime for stealing would be of no use without a way to steal it. Through physical contact, Schezo can pilfer a variable amount of power from another person. Whether or not it's added to his reserves (allowing for more powerful spells and/or more magic to cast them with) or something more specific (like another's light magic) is determined on a case-by-case basis. He can also do this from a distance, though he has no control over how much is taken from the target. Since it can leave him with less magic than he used to cast it, he doesn't usually use the projectile.

Dark Magic is not without its conveniences. One of said conveniences is the ability to become one with their shadow, granting them to appear out of thin air at their leisure.

Equipment
aa4ccfcc2912c609596b124fb9a3e66c8aeefe02_00.jpg

Schezo can call upon the weapon pictured above: a scythe (?) that will substitute the Dark Sword here. It isn't particularly special, though it fulfills the roles of melee weapon and magical medium.

Entry Fee
Schezo is a man of few treasured belongings. What he values the most -- his power -- is completely off the table. The few fond memories that haven't been erased in some manner are also off the table, as his newer ones are the largest factor in him going through this. Thus, he's only left with one thing: the Sword of Darkness. He won't sacrifice the blade itself, but rather, his "bond" with it. To the blade, it would be as if he'd never earned it should he be erased.

Other Info
To be a bit more specific, he's taken from Multiverse Paradise. If you're familiar with that, you probably also know why he's here.

Personality
Jayfeather is a sharp, sarcastic, and wise medicine cat. He is not afraid to make scathing remarks to anyone and everyone, including his Clan leader. Despite his attitude, Jayfeather has strong relationships with those close to him, including Lionblaze, Alderheart and Briarlight. Due to being born blind, he's been mistreated, and tends to be prickly when people point it out to him. He has also been mistreated due to being the bastard child of a ThunderClan medicine cat and a WindClan warrior, and thus tries to keep an open mind about the origins of others. Much to his own dismay sometimes, despite his prickly and rude exterior, he has his grandfather's heart of gold, and refuses to let people suffer, never giving up on any of his patients.

Powers/Abilities
As foretold by the prophecy his grandfather Firestar received, Jayfeather was born with special powers. He has the special ability of being able to enter the thoughts and dreams of others, as well as sense emotions. While these were taken away from him in the end of Omen of the Stars, they have returned to him due to the unique situation he finds himself in here. Though he is blind and is not a warrior, he still has the natural agility of a cat, and as a healer, has great knowledge over herbal remedies, natural flora, and even poisonous plants. He also had the ability to receive prophecies, though he cannot receive them here, disconnected from StarClan.

Equipment
He has no equipment, though he may attempt to forage for herbs later on. It may prove to be a fruitless endeavor, considering the urban locale.

Entry Fee
His memories of his first love, Half Moon, in his previous incarnation as Jay's Wing. While he already had to leave her behind in the past, he holds the memories of her dear, but is willing to lose them in order to continue his medical service in his Clan.

DiaryofaWimpyKid.jpg

Personality
(Source: Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki)
Manny Heffley is a selfish and spoiled toddler who, if he doesn't get his way, will do things such as removing all of the electricity at the house except for his room, as shown in Cabin Fever. Greg believes that their parents treat Manny like a prince, but that is far from the truth as they treat him this way out of fear of what he will do to them. He watches a show called "The Snurples," which according to a newspaper sets kids back in social skills and language development (Manny starts speaking gibberish). He has never been a protagonist. Manny has shown that this is true - he has no real friends and never plays with other kids in playgroups, but has imaginary ones and uses these to get out of trouble and get extra food. Despite his seemingly air-headed exterior, Manny has shown that he can be very cunning, deceitful, manipulative, and intelligent for his age in unexpected ways. When Susan let him play on Greg's Net Kritterz account, he figured out how to sell all of his brother's items and change his password. He has also locked out the entire family from watching any TV shows except for his personal favorite cartoons. He also has been shown to speak Spanish in The Long Haul.

Manny has also been characterized as extremely uncaring and holds powerful grudges that has endangered the family on multiple occasions. One of these is shown in Cabin Fever, where he shuts off all the lights as well as the air conditioning to every room except his own just because he wasn't taught how to tie his shoes. This caused the entire family to suffer in cold weather and starvation until Greg finally discovered the scandal.

Manny's unusual personality can however significantly help the Heffley family as a whole. Manny can speak Spanish properly, and that's just from listening to hours of Spanish-English wordbook-CD's that his mother borrowed from the Spanish library. He also has an extreme ability of learning new things and abilities, which again, is shown when he learns to speak proper Spanish after just a few hours. In The Deep End when Susan allowed Manny to put the last piece in puzzles, he uses this knowledge at the end of the book to steer the RV into the gap of the broken bridge allowing everyone to leave Campers' Eden.

The fact Manny is able to learn perfect Spanish, change Greg's password and the parental lock, kill all the lights except for his room, build a house using only scrap wood and a toy toolbox, and steer an RV to fix a broken bridge is quite surprising for a child his age, meaning he is quite intelligent but however, is still socially awkward.

It is likely that Manny knows about his parents' favoritism towards him, and he takes advantage of this. This includes breaking Greg's gaming console, drawing on his bedroom door, taking a dirty magazine to day care, and twisting the "No Swearing" rule in such a way that he makes money out of it.

Manny also gets anything and everything he wants, and his parents trust his lies to Greg and Rodrick, so they end up getting grounded, even though Manny deserves it.

Powers/Abilities
Despite being only three years old, Manny Heffley is an incredibly intelligent, cunning, and manipulative toddler, able to weasel his way into getting anything he wants. He cares for no one, and will do anything to get what he wants, even going as far to cut the power in his house and hoard all the food during a blizzard because he was never taught how to tie his shoes. His sole weakness is his allergy of peaches.

Many years older than he seems to appear and with the sagelike wisdom to match, he believes himself beyond forgiveness for sins he dares not recall directly, devoting his every waking moment to seeing them corrected.

As a once king of a ruined world, Audric sees himself as responsible for setting things to rights, both for the world and the children another self had once failed, and see what that other self had left undone finished once and for all. Though he often remains stern, it is not difficult to catch him with a forlorn yet distinctly genuine smile in reminiscense of the world he had left behind. In these moments his paternal instincts may flare, but he does attempt to keep them well in check.

Powers/Abilities
As Alberian royalty, Audric is trained as a great warrior in both the physical and magical arts. He can wield both swords and polearms with the ease of swinging a stick -- more often than not employing the use of both a sword and polearm simultaneously -- and command both light and shadow mana to imbue his blows with further devastating force. His experience of many years has granted him a great insight into combat, and he specialises most in identifying the weaknesses in an enemy's defense before breaking their guard through it.

Should these fail, though, he has the trick of his bloodline remaining. Even where his pactbound dragon is not present, Audric can still take the form of the youthful Greatwyrm Zodiark, releasing the full shadowed power and venom within the dragon's claws. Using this form, though he becomes a far bigger target, his physical capability increases in just about every aspect, making him a troubling foe to fell even for the most experienced of fighters.

Equipment
Though Audric usually travels light, and brings with him his simple sword and polearm with no particularly noteworthy qualities, he does have one weapon up his sleeve: the Absolute Hex, a sword imbued with the high mana of Zodiark that is able to channel the full extent of the dragon's offensive power without requiring Audric to take his form.

Entry Fee
As a man who has already cheated death far too many times than any man should -- and perhaps as one with no right to do so again -- Audric willingly surrenders his ties to the world he sought to save once more, and hence his family's memories of him. It is of little consequence should he fail; for he has the utmost confidence in his beloved children even without being tied down by recollection of the man named Audric.

Shinji's entry fee will be the memories of his best friend, Akihiko. However, for it to truly hit hard and motivate Shinji, the memories will go both ways. To make this hit even harder, it won't just be Akihiko forgetting him - it'll be the entirety of SEES.

A world not everyone is into but I wore this sweater with pride even when I got flack for it by everyone around me. Wore it everyday since I got it. Don't worry, I washed it everyday too. Hygiene is my second religion. Case in point, when I wore this sweater, it gave me the confidence to embrace what I liked, regardless of what others thought of me as a result. But I value my friends and my family too much to forget them. If playing the game brings me a step closer to finding them or not doesn't matter to me! Personality:

"I don't care."

Minato is brave and stoic, almost to a fault, as demonstrated by his shockingly calm demeanour when he had a gun pointed straight at him. Additionally, he seems to place very little value on his own life, leading him to take big risks and gambles in battle, battle with no regard for his own safety, and allowed him to use an Evoker, a gun shaped object that causes the user to feel like they’re committing suicide, instantly, with hardly any hesitation. He acts distant and aloof, very rarely speaking unless spoken to, and seemingly unfazed by anything anyone could say to him. He can, at times, come across as uncaring and rude, and he seems to care very little as to whether his actions may be perceived as hurtful or uncouth. He is very closed off in regards to his emotions: He prefers not to share his true feelings, keeping up a veneer of silent snark.

Powers/Abilities:
Wild Card:
orpheussmash.gif
Within himself, Minato possesses ‘The Potential’, allowing him to summon forth a Persona and command its power as his own. However, Minato is unique: His Arcana is that of 0, The Fool, holding infinite potential. Because of this, he can access the power of the Wild Card, which allows him to hold multiple Personas with a variety of powers and affinities within his soul.
However, while the Fool holds infinite possibility, by itself it is empty: Minato must forge bonds with others to gain access to a wider array of more powerful Personas.

Without his bonds, Minato can only access a select few Personas:

0, THE FOOL - Orpheus, Minato's original other self

Minato is an incredibly skilled Persona user, with the energy gained from harbouring death within himself compounding upon the already incredibly potent destructive power of a Wild Card. Minato once survived a series of attacks from Nyx: The invincible goddess of death in the Persona universe. Her will was so powerful, it caused the collective consciousness of all humanity to come into being to protect themselves from her—possessing the strength to face even her Avatar, let alone her true form, is no mean feat.
The final arcana he unlocks is ‘The Universe’: No other Wild Card has unlocked this tarot—instead receiving The World—And even the wise Igor was unsure of its exact power. Minato’s willpower make him a force to be reckoned with—However, his Personas do possess elemental weaknesses that can be targeted to cause significant damage to Minato.

Fusion Spells:
persona3-p3.gif

Unique to Minato thanks to his power of death, this ability allows him to briefly summon forth two Personas at once to initiate a special spell. These moves are incredibly potent, with a variety of effects like blocking every source of damage, dealing immense damage, healing and buffing all allies in one turn, inflicting various status ailments, and more.
Minato currently cannot use any of these—he must forge bonds to summon new Personas first.

Master of the Armoury:
EmbellishedGrayHawaiianmonkseal-size_restricted.gif

Unlike his contemporaries and successors, Minato is not restricted to one type of weapon. He is a master of arms of all sorts, and can skillfully wield a variety of weapons including:

-Bows
-Spears
-Two-handed swords (zweihanders, katanas, etc)
-One-handed swords (rapiers, shortswords etc)
-Boxing gloves or gauntlets
-Heavy weaponry (bludgeons, battle axes etc)

His skills with naginatas, knives and guns, however, leave something to be desired.

Blues in the Velvet Room:
persona3-movie-1-velvet-room-side.gif

As a Wild card, Minato has access to the Velvet Room: a sort of pocket dimension in between reality and subconscious. Entered via special doors, or while sleeping, the Velvet Room is home to Igor and Elizabeth: The master and attendant of the Velvet Room, they are the enigmatic experts on the world of the subconscious, and of Personas. Here, Minato can fuse new Personas, retrieve old Personas from the Compendium, and seek counsel from Igor and Elizabeth.

Equipment:
Evoker:
b94a495938540565dc216c3a39c48bc6.gif

Despite its appearance, the Evoker is not a weapon by itself. Instead, it simulates the action of suicide to summon the Persona within—by facing their death, the user can tap into the primal fear within and awaken their Persona as an unconscious defence mechanism. It also contains a Plume of Dusk that offers it transcendental, acausal properties: By existing between a state of mind and matter, mass and information, and warp spacetime itself to function when they logically should not be able to—for example, during the Dark Hour.
While it makes the process far easier, the Evoker is not strictly necessary to summon Minato's Personas. However, doing so without one requires presence in a cognitive world—such as the TV World or Metaverse—or extreme focus in the real world.

Excalibur:
gL36DH-xCxrmBZnZ2vhmdBAg9J0zlvIKIm1qTdoefPQrKJc3FyxsI6PC8pZeyZ0HOpYZIiqeuW4lD7rxwYap8FGCfNh_eYtdmAPdded6p4U975a3tmVNfZmTkn-3Rx0F6x0Q4R6g

The legendary sword of King Arthur, Excalibur was retrieved from the depths of Monad. An easy to use one handed sword, it is Minato's primary method of attack against weaker enemies—an important means of conserving energy, considering how draining Persona usage can be.
A blessed blade, Excalibur also slightly increases Minato's physical and mental capabilities, and by technicality makes him the sovereign ruler of "Great" Britain.

MP3 Player:

It plays music. what do you want from me

Entry Fee:
For passage into the Reapers Game, Minato gave up the bonds he had forged with his friends: They will all still remember who he is, but now lack the unbreakable connection between them, as though he has merely existed in the background in their time spent together.

Other Info:
A list of Minato's Social Links, as well as the Personas they unlock, can be found here:

Taki is overall overly confident, coming out as slightly entitled. Most people would say that he acts like he's the cherry of the cake, the ego of a peacock, coming and going as if he owned places, more often than not making quite the entrance. Perhaps such a level of self-confidence would be more bearable if he didn’t see it as an excuse to cross boundaries, expecting others to pick after him or openly inviting himself to an acquaintance’s bag of chips… Without even asking. But no, Taki will just waltz in, take what he wants, make a mess of things and then promptly see himself out, leaving a trail behind as if a hurricane had just been in the room.

Though a bit of an untamed force of nature, Taki IS a hard worker towards anything that he considers worthy of his time and attention. Practically raised on the streets, the boy is capable of easily making conversation, coming up with ‘murderous’ comebacks in a heartbeat and grasping the truth of a situation from a few words and some visual cues. He’s hardly surprised or shaken and while you won’t be seeing him legitimately lead anyone, under the right conditions, you can at least expect him to volunteer to help instead of turning back.

If one had to describe Taki in a single word, it would be reactive. Taki’s outlook on life is very passive, merely going this or that way under influence of the people or occurrences in that period of his life. Seeing or hearing about certain individual doing certain thing might either provoke a positive (striving for a similar feat) or negative reaction (defiance, indifference) from him, but without any sort of stimulus, Taki just is. Repeating the same habits, falling in the same patterns, avoiding the same situations, uncaring for either gain or punishment.

Positive Traits: Diligent, Easy-going, Sociable, Witty, Eager, Hardy, Firm, Secure.

Negative Traits: Bossy, Conceited, Critical, Distant, Stubborn, Negligent, Rowdy, Stingy.

    dd1oi2f-31eed9bb-d182-43f1-8458-6feecfdad891.png
    -Skills-
    • Driven: Taki loves to one-up people. While this may be seen as a flaw in moments he's being too stubborn, it's the prime way to get him to give his everything towards a determined task. If one doubts his capacity to do it, or compare his accomplishments to someone else's, he's bound to work even harder to prove them wrong and 'win' from the other person. Once he has been given a goal to strive for, he'll rarely give up on the task.

    -Flaws-
    • 8 or 80: Due to his difficult upbringing and rather volatile, reactive personality, Taki is incapable of finding a middle ground to things. Either he cares about them a lot as if his life depended on it, or he's completely apathetic and indifferent to them. Similarly, during one situation there's the loose, chatty, 'doesn't take anything seriously' Taki, and at others, the Gung-ho, focused, stone-faced, 'serious business time' Taki. He hasn't really made an effort to conciliate both parts yet. Or really found a need for it.
    • What is this 'fun' you speak of? The concept of hobby is completely lost on Taki. Since his time has always been spent in either activity to guarantee his survival or to better himself, the idea that others can do things solely for the fact that they enjoy it is very alien to him. To Taki, everything his time is spent on has to have a purpose, a long term goal or be a tool that he could use in the future to his advantage. If it's not something exceptionally important he honestly can't see the point of learning it.

Born and raised in a difficult neightborhood and to a single overworked mother, Yoshiaki has basically been on his own since the beggining. With the dad nowhere to be found, Kimiko found herself employed in a cubicle to an despicable boss that paid only slightly better than minimum wage, but definitely not enough to raise a kid properly. As a result, Taki was smaller and thinner than his classmates, unproperly nourished and even starved at times, rather sickly looking. An easy target for bullying. The fact that his brain seemed to always be slagging behind and accompanied by headaches obviously didn't help. Those that tried to assist somehow, sympathized for being in better, yet similar situations and could only provide this school supply or that snack once in a while... No stories of miraculous life change here.

In afterthought, things could have ended quite differently if it hadn't been for his quirk.

He remembers it as if it was yesterday, him taking a deep breath, bracing himself to being pushed and cast aside, out of line, by his bullies while trying to enter the school. Yet, differently, from the other times, he didn't move. Three older kids were putting them all into shoving Taki aside but his body wouldn't budge, not even after the middle one had decided to outright punch him! Eventually, they dispersed, now bored, and the 4 of them were left rather confused as to what was going on... To Yoshiaki this was like a new beginning, to know that he could finally stand up, stop being others' plaything. As expected, the change in status quo did get a little to his head and the child who once had no regard for himself went to develop a bit of an ego...
Especially when he began to realize he didn't feel as hungry as before clearing up a metaphorical 'fog' that had become commonplace for him. Suddenly, better energized and thinking clearer Taki felt as if he could take on the whole damn world and win! He wanted to take matters into his own hands and didn't waste time doing so.

At the start, it was just normal chores for the neighbors. The boy would buy their groceries, get items from stores, mow their lawn, wash their car, those kinds of things, all for a small tip. He had heard of the idea during the chatter of one of his classmates and was inspired to put a similar system up as well. But then word of an 'extension' of said job, including better and proper pay, reached his ears. Surely this was child labor, and very much illegal, yet it was the perfect trap for those in need of an extra budget. Having jumped at the offer an 8-year-old Taki signed up to be the 'official' errands boy of the neighborhood, making all kinds of deliveries and acting as a messenger as long as there were no questions about the reasons or the packages.

Luckily before anyone could effectively swindle the teenager to join the local gang or something of the sort, Taki stepped back from the 'position', not pleased with having been shot at two or three times while doing his 'job'. And that's without saying all sorts of sketchy places he had ended up in, suspicious packages, tough situations... To be honest, he had actually been quite lucky to not get himself in too much trouble. His mom has been left out of the loop on this and Taki is determined to take this secret with him to his grave if he can.

From here on Yoshiaki's life went back to being quite normal and quite aimless. Taki didn't know what he'd like to do with it, or even, what he could do with it and it didn't really bother him too much that nothing would ever change. He had resigned to being forever average and not really amount to a lot... Until a certain dinner where the subject came up. Kimiko had meant no harm, it had just been a piece of advice so that her son wouldn't have his hopes betrayed as well, but Taki didn't get it that way, and her use of words didn't make it any better. Friendly conversation escalated into a full-blown argument and the boy, with his ego hurt, acted in defiance and announced that he was signing up for U.A. much to his mom's dismay. If the woman didn't think that he could accomplish it just because she couldn't, he was going to show her wrong. In a completely backwards way, Taki vowed to make his mom proud of him, one day.

From there on, Taki had a goal, not the best of them, but a goal nonetheless, focusing harder at school and even doing some kind of self-imposed training during his free time. Meanwhile, Kimiko met Hisao, the family grew and suddenly there was a fatherly figure in the house, which the teenager doesn't know how to deal with, neither accepted thus far. It was odd, to magically have someone that actually cared, made questions, gave advice without being asked for it... At least Naoko, his new sister, was a lot less nosey and disruptive. They don't live in the Taeken's house, just show up there whenever they're out of work/daycare. Yoshiaki has a hard time deciding whether or not he likes the new arrangement, though he has to agree that having more variety on the dinner table is a plus.

Overall, Taki doesn't have a noble goal or a really inspirational figure to guide him, he's just not willing to let his mom be right about him not being capable of doing this. He's willing to give it his all just to prove
    everyone wrong. Whatever it takes.

He can swap his “stats”, converting HP into PP and vice versa, effectively giving him two health bars. Damage he takes can be converted into healing for his allies, and he can even sacrifice his own health to revive another. Torin Radamanthos

Age
Biologically: roughly 23
Chronologically: 237

Canon
OC

Powers/Abilities
Torin is able to manipulate the space-time around him to generate various effects:
-Watchful Eye of Yengus: Torin's brain is wired to process information extremely fast, ignoring the regular perception of time if needed, slowing time in his head to a near stop should he need to analyze something. Additionally, he can sense magical energies and space-time fluctuations.
-Wrathful Aura of Toturim: Torin's body is trained and magically enhanced to keep up with his mind to a certain extent. His body is able to match in speed, strength and durability most demigods from his world. However, it is not as sharp as his mind. Should Torin make a full effort on both slowing his perception of time and moving as fast as possible, he'll feel like he's moving through molasses. A consequence of achieving a balanced fighting body.
-Quantum Skip: Torin makes his whole body forcefully shift positions in space instantly, this can be done in succession, but it becomes increasingly exhausting with each consecutive use.
-Temporal Blast: By focusing energy on a spot he is or was recently in contact with, Torin can release a barrage of kinetic strikes in a small area.
-Time Fracture: Torin's peak ability. Releasing a torrent of magical energy, his body is impervious to the flow of time in its entirety for in what regular time would be roughly three seconds. His mind and body work at a synchronized pace even at their full capacity in this time frame. When he returns the flow of time to normal, his body is negatively impacted. He can't use this ability too much or too often, as it is too strenuous for his mind and body.

Equipment
Nothing in particular.

Entry Fee
Xiaoninin. A sentient weapon especially crafted for Torin in the forge of a smithing god. It enhanced Torin's physical capabilities as well as granting him extra abilities thanks to the soul bond they shared. It took the form of a black bird when not in battle.

Name
Zack Fair, SOLDIER 1st Class.

Age
~23

Canon
Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core/ Final Fantasy 7.

Powers/Abilities
Link that I copy and pasted from.
Having been trained by Angeal, one of the three most powerful SOLDIER members, Zack is an exceptional combatant, accomplished in both swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat. He is considered a cut above most Second Class SOLDIER members and secures a promotion to First Class. He is chosen to represent SOLDIER in the competition against the Security Department, and entrusted with crucial support missions with the other Shinra departments, acknowledged even by the arrogant and immoral Hojo as a worthy SOLDIER member to test his experiments on. A true testament to Zack's fighting prowess is how he fought all three of the most powerful SOLDIER members, defeating Angeal and Genesis, and being a challenge to Sephiroth despite ultimately losing. In his last stand, Zack fights an army of Shinra infantrymen alone.

With Digital Mind Wave as his Limit Break, Zack can copy skills upon seeing others use them. While preferring melee combat, Zack is competent with magic, and is handy with a sniper rifle.

Outside the realm of battle, Zack is great at performing squats and has the potential to set a record for this within Shinra. Calling himself a "country boy", traversing a snowy mountainside will not slow him down compared to his more inexperienced companions. He has also displayed some handyman skill by building Aerith a flower cart and can operate a motorbike.

Equipment
Zack originally starts out Crisis Core with only the basic SOLDIER sword, but with time earns the iconic Buster Sword.
He receives this after the death of Angeal in front of him, the original owner of the Buster Sword.
Zack also uses a variety of Materia that can be acquired throughout the game, all of which can do majorly different things.

Entry Fee
Zack's entry fee to the Reaper's Game was giving up the Buster Sword as a weapon. Zack has a very personal connection to the sword, a stronger bond to it than Cloud has. (For further information about why, click here.)

Unrelated to combat, Haru has an experienced green thumb, regularly growing and brewing her own tea and coffee.

Equipment - You shouldn't annoy a girl with an axe!

Possessing a battleaxe the length of her body and a high-explosive grenade launcher, Haru wields destructive power in the fray. Her form isn't great, but through sheer brute force she's still able to wreak havoc.

Entry Fee

To participate in the Reapers Game, Haru is sacrificing all the priceless memories she made with her friends in the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, forgetting all her friends and everything they had accomplished together, leaving only a vague recollection of who she is as Beauty Thief.

The cutscenes in his story quest depict him wielding an Old Merc's Pal, so that will be the claymore he wields in this rp.

Matthew Hines
1643170766430.png

Age: 19
OC

Personality:
Matthew is an easy-going friend to all who simply just lives. He always seems chill, and loves to just talk with friends. There is nothing he particularly dislikes, but he always enjoys being there for others and having a great time doing so. When he was alive, he enjoyed having a high grade in school and having a good amount of speed and flexibility, which have luckily carried over into this world. Oh, and he can typically be seen trying to get a coffee from somewhere.

Powers/Abilities:

Intelligence
Simply put, Matthew knows a thing or two around the block. He can develop plans with relative ease, granted carrying them out is a different story.

Agile and Flexible
Matthew has never been a jock. However, he is quite fast. Thanks to his body shape, Matthew has always been able to out speed people on several occasions. This has allowed him to be a top track and fielder back in high school, and as a freshman. His flexibility falls under this same umbrella.

Energized
Having so much coffee has laid an effect on Matthew. He has increased endurance and concentration thanks to his large caffeine bank. This ability is made stronger when drinking a coffee as well.

Equipment:
While he doesn't necessarily have any weaponry on him, he does typically have a cup of coffee on hand, and a utility pocketknife within his pocket.

Entry Fee:
He only had one thing left to give up. He would lose his memories of the friends and family he once had. Every single person he met was very special, and they each had their unique quirks and personalities. It was really the only thing he could give. It's not like he can pay in coffee.

Other info:
His sacrifice was specifically about the people in his life being erased. So while he may remember his affinity for speed and liking for coffee, he won't remember who he has shared these memories with, or why he has these traits.

Cause of death: Car accident after leaving a party at college.

If there's a coffee shop, there's a Matthew Hines.
