"Well, first we get out of the way of the summoning circle's so others can attempt to summon a familiar." Arcantos said, floating his swords back to him before sheathing them. "As for that, well... we'll have to wait for everyone else to be done, through if you don't mind I'm a little curious. What is your species called?"

Volt walked past Arcantos to leave the spellcircle.
"I am a Mobian. Not sure if there is something special about my race. What about you?"
As he was close enough to a wall, he leaned against it and watched the others.

"Mobian huh..." Arcantos said, following Volt to the wall and leaned against it himself. "How common or uncommon is an ability like your Lighting generation ? As for me, I'm a human. Pretty non-special in this world, just able to do magic."

"It is uncommon, but i saw others with special abilities. I saw two that moved faster than the speed of sound, one of them even being able to use raw energy. Someone else used psychokinesis to fly, move objects and even catch bullets. A Ninja who could actually turn invisible and even teleportation.
Abilities are somewhat rare but existent in my world. How is it with magic in this one, and do i have to hold back or hide?"
Volt had no reason to hide these infos. After all, it didn't seem like these Humans would be out to invade his world.

"Magic is practically as common as air here." Arcantos said, returning the information shared to him with ease. "Harnessing it however, isn't so simple. I'm guessing that you lighting based powers is something that your born with, and probably isn't magic as classified on this world. My lighting-based magic took me several years to learn, and I'm still learning about them."

Volt heard him out and noticed that powers like his seemed to be not common here, while magic was.
"I see. But i have to correct you on one point. I don't have my powers since birth. Wanna hear a story?"

"I would like to hear it, but I suggest waiting till later to share it. It shouldn't be that long until everyone is finished and we are moving on."

"Very well. I can use some rest anyway."
Using his powers just a while before took more than he had given away. He was not able to generate any more lightning for now and was exhausted.
Volt crossed his arms as he leaned agains the wall, closed his eyes and rested like this for now. It may not be the most comfortable position, but better than nothing.

The woman before him was not what he had expected, staring at her with mild surprise. She had horns and small bat wings, a feature that at least was familiar with a demon, but other than that there was not much difference between him or her in appearance. To top it off she seemed frightened, letting out a small whimper and closing her eye's as if to will this all away. Another student then walked by, telling her that he would explain everything. Elliot looked to him, blinking before realizing he seemed a bit disgusted. "Ah, yes right." He finally spoke with hidden amusement. It was just for a moment and he turned to the supposed demon before him with a soft friendly smile. "I mean you no harm- nor does anyone else." With his foot he smeared the circle that would release her from the trap. "I'm sorry, it seemed that i was unable to choose who to pull after all." Only able to practice one type of magic all these years made it a bit harder for him for a summoning. A demon he knew how. Although it was taboo and forbidden to do so in his family. It was interesting at least. His familiar formed with his specialty. Something he did not intend to happen and probably had done so subconsciously. Just goes to show how much more he needs to learn.

Slowly but surely he grabbed her hand, softly tugging her along to follow. He did not want to force her to, not that she had much of a choice but still. It was key in building a good bond and relationship. Once off to the side, he pulled the right sleeve of his shirt up and slipped on his binding item, the bracelet immediately latching itself all the way up from his hand to his bicep. He held it up for her to see. "This is a tying object. It binds you to me and me to you. You see, i'm a mage. I summoned you into this chamber here at Arcana Somnium University. A college for magus. Every mage is required to have a familiar. Which is you." He paused, holding out the bracelet with the ring. "This one's is yours. It may look plain now, but once you put it on, all you have to do is imagine how you would like it to look. It will reshape itself. Once done, a contract will form." He didn't know how else to go about it. If she wanted to know more, or had questions, he would happily comply. "Although, I think introductions are in order first." He bowed, hand still out with the tying object. "My name is Elliot Slyvester."

"Relax, the more we get to know eachother, the looser the bond will be, from my understanding. I'm sorry that you had to be bonded to me, but there isn't much I could do about it, and unfortunately there isn't much I can do about it either. I'm not particularly thrilled about keeping someone tied to myself you know." His nature very much relied on the belief of personal freedom, and the idea of taking the freedom from another bothered him. He may have taken pleasure in his summoning, but he intended to find a way to break the bond later on. He refused to keep a slave.

The cloud above her head continued to rumble ominously, or it would be ominous if the cloud wasn't so small above the maidens head. The girl just blinked up at the man, his words did little to soothe her. However, one thing was for sure. It appeared she was stuck until further notice. My family is not going to be happy She could already imagine the storms that would be brewing back home. Lives would be lost on the lands below as the entire colony worked itself into a raging storm.

"Now what?" Elysia's voice came out in a monotone as she picked herself up off the floor and stood as far away from Requiem as she possibly could. She could feel the tug at her neck, but she was just close enough to not be pulled back.

"Now? Now I have absolutely no idea actually. Wait for the others to finish summoning, and I guess for the teachers to sort us out where they want us." He told her. The school itself was something of a mystery to him. They didn't pass out pamphlets and they didn't offer tours before school started. The only way to know anything about how it worked was to know someone who went, and he didn't. Regardless of it's secrecy, the school always found itself turning away thousands of applications a year

The spider stood there in that circle, white eyes closed tight. Fear shook her slim body. A fear she had never once in her long life felt until now. She didnt know what was happening, didnt know what would happen to her. The only solace she found in this new, unfamiliar place, was the dim lighting. The closest thing she felt she'd get to the comfort of darkness here in this place. A man spoke to her then, his words meant to be soothing. They did not work. Her body jolted in fear as soon as the first syllable slipped from his lips. Her pure white eyes slipped open to look at the one who spoke to her, and the look on his face...the disgusted look on his face caused her to draw away from him, and the man who now spoke to her. Similar words seemed to come from his as well, but...for some odd reason, she felt more comforted by his words than the other man's.

"I mean you no harm- nor does anyone else"

Those simple words coming from that raven haired man with the friendly smile was oddly more comforting than she thought it would be. He continued to smile at her as he inched his foot forward, the toe of his shoe smudging the circle she stood in. It seemed to lift the odd sense that she couldnt leave that circle. Gave her a sense of freedom. She was becoming more relaxed now. Even if the words he spoke next confused her a bit. He wasnt able to choose who to pull? So her being brought here wasnt entirely his fault? She was becoming less tense now...even as he reached forward, and grasped her hand. The man tugged her along, and she followed hesitantly. She still didnt trust this place. She looked around as they made their way to the side of the room, and what she was saw something more bizarre than she could have ever hoped.

Mortals conversing with odd creatures; large, robed being who hovered above the group with a ghastly mist surrounding them, purple haired maidens who look just as distressed as she was, fainting mechanical beasts, and the newest addition. A small, furry creature with the fury of lightning flashing in its eyes. It was so odd, so abnormal from what she was used to. The lovely, traditional life in which the spider lived peacefully in her cocoon. The one where the lovely maiden elders from the village brought to her offering of food in exchange for protection. The one where she sat peacefully in the entrance of that lovely, imperial manor without worry.

She missed it.

Her attention was grasped by the raven hair man before her as he rolled up his sleeve, and placed upon his arm a silver, webbed bracelet. She looked at the beautiful piece of jewelry, and found that she quite liked it. When he extended it out to her, and explained the job of this accessory, she took the chance to observe it more. It was quite spectacular. When the man held out the bracelet/ring combo, she took it slowly, listened to his words, and gave him a small nod. She placed it upon her hand, the bracelet sitting upon her wrist comfortably as she slid the ring upon her middle finger. It seemed to latch onto her then, but it didnt stay the same. It seemed to morph, the bracelet becomming black, a small web forming in a circular manner just on top of her wrist. The silver chain became black as did the ring, which form a large, purple jewel. A small, black spider form inside the jewel. This was her tying item. It was beautiful in nearly every aspect, and she gazed at it adoringly. She this was it. He was a magus, and she his familiar. His bounc companion for as long as they lived?

It wasnt a concept she was all too familiar with, and she didnt much like the sound of it, but there was nothing she could do at this point. SO, as the man introduced himself as Elliot, she stood there. A thoughtful look took over jer fair features until she bowed to him in a traditional, Japanese greeting. The words slipped from her lips in that beautiful whisper, her ghost of a voice sounding so that only he could hear.

"My name is Vesper Shayde, and I am The Spider Lady....."

Biting her bottom lip as she tried to think of a way to simplify being a familiar, "It's basically where your my partner specifically made for me, some people view you as servants but you have no need for that I don't have any intention of ordering you around. However when in combat and such I expect you to protect me and get the job finished as quickly as possible." she crossed her arms as she continued "Of course to say we will be in combat all the time isn't the case, when we are not in combat we have training I'm sure but other then that I wont ask much of you and let you do almost whatever you'd like, considering you have the boundaries of being linked to me that isn't to say you can go out and destroy and torment beings or try to kill me and so on." she raised her eye brow having her arms still crossed as she watched her familiar take in everything she had just told him, waiting for his response to make sure he understood her.

He listened with a bored expression on his face. After she was done talking he smiled that evil and dangerous smile, "at least my master is a pretty girl. Makes it much more interesting," he mutters moving closer to his red headed 'owner'. This world was different but not much could scare the grim reaper. He glances around looking at the other people talk with what he assumed were their familiar. He gives her a nod, "what am I supose to do in this world if I can't toy with these pitiful creatures?"

Nina gave her familiar a Mischievous grin as she thought of her familiar 'toying', then had a thought of him toying and tormenting the enemy in battle. "you could always get your fix by toying and tormenting the enemy." she stated matter of fact like. She then decided she would give her reaper a small taste of his medicine so to speak, as she leaned in closer to him and stared straight in his eyes as if she were to kiss him right before she replied in a sultry tone " Be careful playing with fire.." pausing she lit the bottom of his pant leg on fire not enough to hurt him but enough to get the hint, "You might just get burnt and we wouldn't want that now would we." she finished telling him as she winked and stepped away with a playful smirk as she waited for him to realize his leg was on fire.

Thanato eyes widen a bit as she gets close and personal with him. He was shocked this human had the guts to speak to him like that. Who did she thi- he paused mid thought sniffing the air as smoke from his pants leg floated upwards. He looked down noticing the fire. He moved quickly starting to take off his pants. If it was one thing grim reapers didn't like it was fire. Reminded them to much like the flames of hell or the flames you see when turning into a girm reaper. Both scary, both made them fear it, however Thanatos wouln't let this girl know that she controled his weakness.

"I am sorry. Did you say something?"

Grimmerly's jaw dropped when she found the boy had not been affected by her banshee screams. She knew that if she willed, her screams can penetrate even the thickest of walls. Yet, this boy heard nothing. What is this guy? she asked herself, slightly more of fear than curiosity.
"I'm sorry. I guess I summoned you from somewhere important. I did not mean for you to be summoned in this way. I had no idea that you would be summoned from wherever you were. I just did as instructed to get into this school."

Although she heard sincerity in his voice, reminding her of what she lost fired her up again. Incredulously, she wailed, "You took me from seeing my Hades for a school cred?!?!? What is wrong with you?" I will kill you, she silently vowed. An angry banshee was not to be trifled with. Her claws had just started stretching until the magus screamed. Despite her murderous state, she instinctively stepped forward. If she was concerned, she could not tell at the moment. All she knew was that he seemed to be genuinely hurting. However, the summoning circle would not let her out. Instead, she watched medics rushing in and get brushed off by the boy himself.

She calmed down into her normal state again: pinned red hair, tanned skin, and short, delicate fingers. As the magus steadied himself, he threw her a golden pin from his pocket which she found difficult to catch. Not all banshees had good hand-eye coordination.

"You should wear that as the piece that ties you to me. These will tie me to you. We can discuss the terms of our contract elsewhere."

Resentfully, Grimmerly did what she was told, not realizing that she was pinning on a streak of hair that had turned white from the summoning. "Contract? What contract?" she asked, following the magus who had released her from the circle.

James Marlow looked around the large cathedral like room. Strange creature, beings, demons and even a reaper had already been summoned with the majority of student of student having their familiars. Some treated them like servant, others as friends. James was determined to soon find out who his familiar would be. Be he was being optimistic. He had only been studying for five years and had rarely r touched on the subject of summoning except the mouth before coming to the university. When the previous student left the circle James nervously went up. James wiped of the previous lines away. He then traced the circle in his cheap generic white chalk. He then drew a pentagon within the circle marking each line with a symbol. First was mercury, then Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and finally Pluto. James stop being nervous and became excited about the summoning. He was hoping for a hydra or a golem. Basically something that would not die.
He tossed the chalk to the side and began chanting. He did not know what exactly he was chanting but it had to do with ashes to ashes. The reason he chose that chant was not to summon something specific. It was more of opening a gateway then dragging the familiar, or at least in theory. After finishing the chant the nothing happen, a few minute passed but still nothing. By now James was becoming worried. Some of the faculty started chattering. He was afraid that he failed the summoning. He was afraid he let the school down. He was afraid that he let his uncle down. He decided it had been long enough to know he failed he looked once more at the circle. A light?! James thought. Soon something similar to electricity started to leak out of the circle and his familiar began to rise through the floor.

(sorry for the wait)

Adam nodded as the British sounding woman told him to wait until they were all done, and then she would escort them to the hospital wing. He sat down, cross-legged, resting the mechanical corpse's head in his lap. He absentmindedly stroked her hair, as though he would to comfort a child or pet a cat. He looked down at her. She was beautiful and terrible and cold and unforgiving as the mountains north of his home.

He knew he was going to enjoy figuring her out.

But she had to be conscious, first. That was top priority at the moment.
