TLDR: - Althea continues up the mountain path

Althea stood in silence as she watched her tall friend join the other team, taking what she said to heart.

"She's right... just because I'm good at healing doesn't mean that I'm useless in a fight, so why should I assume the same of everyone else?"

Standing at the crossroads, Althea looked at the remaining two teams. Including herself, there were 6 going up the mountain trail, and 5 going down the swamp trail.

"I would assume that those going down the left path have their reasons... Maybe some work better with water?"

Althea looked to her friend Lilirel and gave her a solid nod before running to catch up with the rest of her team. Not knowing most of the others by person, the little Magi began to hum a tune as she skipped over the indents left by the giant in front of her. Her mind gradually refreshed itself on what she learned to combat the cold and harsh environment of the mountains. She would have an interesting climb ahead of her.

TLDR: Jeremiah wants to go down the left path, but ultimately will stay with the largest group because almost everyone else wants to either go up the mountain or go right.

Jeremiah sighed, seeing the other Apostles slowly leaving- and not in the direction he wanted them to go in. "Fine. there are too few people going down the left path. IT's not equal numbers. I could live with the group divided into two or even three as Llawr suggested, but with only myself, Payne and possibly you, the numbers will not be stacked in our favor. I would rather be over-prepared with multiple Apostles at my side." Jeremiah told Zayne, looking put out that he could only get two others to come with him down the best path. In his opinion, the best path would be the one with the most and diverse group of Apostles, but at this point he would take what he could get- going along with the bigger group. "I want to go with the biggest group. Though if we don't hurry, they will leave us behind. Thank you for offering to come with us." Jeremiah said to Zayne, giving the other man a smile. Hopefully Zayne and Payne would follow him rather than taking their own route. Either way, he would soon disappear up the path with the most Apostles on it, whether he liked it or not.

That was when he remembered Ren- the little rat- which he thought of her as with a fond exasperation. How the girl knew what he was- or could guess what he was a mystery he would have to solve later. He didn't advertise what he could do, although he really had to come up with a better alias in the future. He hadn't named himself "The Siren," but the name had unfortunately stuck.

Stella was beyond excited that this was happening, an adventure to call her own, although she isn't used to being in such a huge group yet. She followed the group into the new adventure, and right away they had to make a decision on where to go. She had no opinions as she was fine with either path, but she never expected a part of the group to began scaling the mountain. Marvelling at the strong few, she decided that she would just go with the team with less people, which would be the obvious choice for anyone if the group ends up splitting up.

TLDR:
-Giles meets Diana, rambles on about a random story, and then properly introduces himself.

Giles turned to face his party member. Much like everyone else here, with the exception of Sorod, he knew little about them.If this trail was long and boring, Now would be the best time to get familiar with his teammates. First, he'll start with the more open members then he'll work his way up to the more quiet "Lone-wolf" types. He'd do that later, now he had a conversation on his hands, it was time to whip out the Ol' Meyer's family charisma.

"Howdy Ma'am!" the cowboy tipped his hat to Diana before continuing his sentence, "So far it's been good, a lil' dilemma split us up, but I'm sure we'll all be okay". He chuckled as he looked to the sky, "Reminds me of that time when were were lookin' for that outlaw. I took the long path and they went through the plains, when I beat em' to the Saloon they were soaking wet and covered in bruises! Heh! That's what they get for wading in gator' land, damn things can nip your fingers off in a heartbeat!".

Through his laughing, Giles realized how long he was rambling on, he didn't even ask her for her name. He quickly regained his composure and apologized, "Oh! Pardon me. Where are my manners?" he said meekly. He held out his hand for a handshake "Name's Giles, Giles Meyer. What's yours?".

Despite differences of opinion, eventually all Apostles left the fork behind in favor of a more direct route to their goal hidden away among the mountains. Looking out for one another to varying degrees, the party made camp that night after traveling all day. The land was beautiful and the air was clear. Game was plentiful and the occasional stream of water ensured they did not go without. Compared to the arduous nature of their work, this was the easy part of the job.

With mountain in view, they rose early the next morning and arrived at the town of Taruhm by late afternoon/early evening. Their choice at the fork had saved them at least a day of travel and the fortress town would prove to be an invaluable pit stop on their journey. If the mountain proved too difficult to climb all at once, the town would serve as an invaluable base of operations. Or at least, that was the idea. On their approach of the town that was nestled underneath a high cliff, they could note travelers and river boats quickly making their way away from the town despite the setting sun heralding nightfall.

Dark clouds were brewing closer to the mountain not far off. The clouds were an unnatural shade of color including some green and red streaks within the billowing mass. A Storm of Chaos was gathering. Such events were not uncommon and were more frequent near mountains and forests among other more dangerous places in the world. Wherever the storms appeared, monsters would appear en masse till the storm dissipated or moved on. Towns like Taruhm were not unaccustomed to riding out such storms. Their high, thick walls made them ideal places to wait out a siege of monsters or a location to stage offensive campaigns from.

So why were so many people leaving the safety of the walls and fleeing? Monsters were known to be drawn to high concentrations of people. What's more, the worst sieges could last up to a month. Anyone within the walls when the monsters came would likely be unable to leave for a long time. Too long for travelers and visitors that didn't call Taruhm home.

A flash of lightning and crack of thunder could be witnessed coming from the unnatural storm as it was bearing down on Taruhm. The air smelled and tasted odd as a result. The Apostles could feel the trouble brewing in the core of their being. The Apostles would have the strength to combat the storm, but it was up to them where they chose to face it, if at all. It would be a dangerous endeavor and it was also possible for them to ignore the event all together and forego resting at Taruhm. They would need to decide fast and hury. Monsters of varying kinds could be seen starting to materialize in the distance. Some were born of the Chaos while others were normal creatures and objects corrupted by the arcane substance.

TLDR: Althea wishes to get inside the town and help the guards fortify

The electricity in the air made the hair on Althea stand on end. However, despite the safety of the walls people were running away from the storm.

"Is there something wrong with the town? Are there defenses defective?" she wondered out loud.

Althea made her way towards the town, asking people why they were leaving, but her main goal was to outrace the monsters before she could make it through the gates

"Let's hope there isn't much damage already. We'll need all the help we can get if we want to ride out this storm..."

Tl;DR: Ren runs to the city with Althea, trying to protect her from the fleeing crowd
The quarrel was quickly silenced and the group moved ahead with the through the mountain plan. They moved quickly and weren't weighted down by the mountains too badly. The extra bonus of being early was also a great perk, and Ren was looking forward to finishing up with this town and moving on quickly.

However, Chaos was in the air. Ren could sense it, and she was reminded of Wolfe. It wasn't the same, but the feeling of that much Chaos so close was just nostalgic, which was strange for most people. People were running away from their high wall city, fleeing on foot. But Monsters liked Cities.

"I don't like the taste of the air. Tastes like death."

Ren backed away, afraid of the city and the storm. However, Althea was already moving towards the city and the little being would get crushed underfoot.

"I'll go with you, Little Healer! But be careful, there's too many feet to make sure you're safe!" Ren said, staying close and trying to make sure that the fleeing crowd wouldn't hurt the little one. "Hurry. People scary. Rocks."

TL;DR: diana greets cowboi giles and later believes that the apostles should face the storm head-on

Diana smiled warmly and accepted Giles' hand to shake. She felt she had chosen a rather wonderful person to be acquainted with. She didn't mind at all when folks went on little tangents; people who do so tend to be much more interesting.

"Hello, Giles! I'm Diana," she replied cheerfully. "So what happened to those outlaws?"

~~~
The brunette soon grew tired of constantly brushing away strands of hair blown into her face by the wind and tied it into a low ponytail at the nape of her neck with a long-stemmed dandelion. She watched the blackened skies as they seemed to spread their dreary color from cloud to cloud like a virus. A freezing chill slithered up her spine and covered her head-to-toe in goosebumps. Diana clenched her jaw to keep her teeth from chattering but to little avail. The scene before her was so startlingly depressing that she couldn't help but cringe. Her heart panged, not only because of the mist swirling in her body, but because she could already feel the suffering that this storm may cause to the people both fleeing from and trapped inside the city.
It seemed that Althea and Ren were already set on going towards the city, but she was more hesitant. Shouldn't they fight the storm rather than fleeing to the cities? They had their walls. But the masses of people fleeing had no one. Except for the apostles.
Diana took several deep breaths and her chattering slowly came to a pause as adrenaline began to flow through her.
"I think we should fight the storm," was all she said to anyone who would listen.
TooLongDidn'tRead: Sorod is gushing and excited all over about being on an adventure. But after seeing the Chaos, his mood shifts, and he's now marching towards the mass of beasts, shield and spear readied.
The Iron Giant walked with steps a-rumbling, his head like a swivel, moving at rapid directions at random directions. Behind him, although he saw the group had slowed down and halted for a bit, eventually, they continued and followed the path he and The Red Lady took. He did make sure to slow his pace down when he saw them stop, not wanting to make too much distance between him and the rest of the group. He waited beside the nonexistent path that Tomoe carved through the growth, observing his own with child-like amusement. Once the rest had caught up, he stood up and immediately started walking in their front, making use of his larger form to remove the obstacles that they may come across. Tree? Toppled. Boulder? Rolled. A Rabbit's Den? Crushed. The last one was an accident, because he didn't take notice of the bulge in the ground, he did hear the faint sound of air exiting from an organism being crushed. Nonetheless, the party made their way forward, with him and his wonder leading behind Tomoe.
The mountain they sought towered over the horizon, and as someone who is tall and likes being tall, he viewed this as both a challenge, and opportunity. By getting to the lofty peak of that colossal piece of rock and dirt, he'd be conquering it, or so he believes. Once he has placed it beneath his boot, only then, can he say that is taller than the mountain.
"So-The Heavens are closer when you are tall-Rod. So-Friends, what lies beyond them-Rod?", when the party decided to rest for the night, he stood outside the camp, gazing up at the endless void dotted with the glimmer of a thousand fireflies. Reaching towards them with trembling hands, he lamented his inability to grasp them, but it only fueled his desire to explore even more. "So-Stars-Rod.", with a moaning voice, he watched the darkness melt into the oranges and blues of a new day. This marks yet another day of his new existence, and he could, he'd be blushing in excitement.
When they came upon the silhouette of Taruhm, Sorod visibly paused in surprise, gawking at the magnificence of its walls, its structures, and its environment. "So-Beautiful-Rod.", with hastened steps, he went towards the town, giggling to himself in his mind. But, when his gaze finally landed on the water channels, he once again stopped, though this time, for a different reason. The distance made things a bit hard to see, but he could see a horde of people leaving the safety of the cliffside town, despite the sun that is slowly disappearing out of sight. That's when he finally decided to look upwards. There, he saw the mass of chaos that flowed through the unnatural clouds, sending wave upon wave of Chaos to surge through the lands.
He watched, as entities and freaks appeared out of thin air, as simple creatures of these lands mutated into things that shouldn't be. Inside him, the fire crackled with a silent dance, as steam escaped the hole at the center of his chest. "So-Danger comes-Rod.", the event in front of him transpired without waiting for him, as did his companions, who took to flight. He watched Althea and Ren run towards the town, and behind, he heard Diana give her decision. Heaving what sounds like a sigh, he reached for his shield and spear, and took on a stance. A stance meant for battle. A stance meant for Protection. His aura changed immediately, from that whimsy wonder of a child, to the overbearing presence of an exalted soldier.
"So-The Town is in danger, we must protect it-Rod.", although the people panicking and escaping were important, he believes the Town itself is what needs to be protected. Just like he, it is a Bastion meant to face the onrush of Chaos and Destruction, and should it fall, no hope shall be given in bringing back the peace. Without waiting for the rest, he made his way towards the mass of creatures, with slow steps slamming heavier than before. His spear in one hand, he smashed it against his shield continuously; this is his strategy, attract their attention and face the tidal wave of destruction they'll bring. Though Taruhm has mighty walls, they are but a mere attempt to serve as Protection, while he is Protection Incarnate!
"SO-COME-ROD!"
TL;DR: Knell faces the storm after some time traveling and worrying about the discourse in the group.
Knell had remained quiet after her opinions were known, before sighing as everyone decided to take their own path up the mountain, rather than the highlands. Oh well. She shuffled after the group as she kept up her pace, a heavy frown on her face hidden by her hood. Well, she couldn't find fault for the group eventually deciding to go together, up the mountain...but this discourse could possibly be their downfall. It was...worrisome. And with how some other members of their group were...she didn't want to know. The girl pushed those thoughts aside as she glanced up at the clear sky. It still remained beautiful even now...
Eventually they reached a town, a small village where everything should be alright. But with the storm brewing...god. Her heart went cold at the sound of screams and wailing, panicked thundering of feet and people pushing past one another. "Storm...god, do I hate them," she hissed as she looked around. Her eyes fell on some brush plants and she rushed towards them, hands clasping the tufts as she siphoned their energy. They withered and crumbled away into dust as she felt power course through her. Taking whatever she could from the local plants, she let the magic play on her fingertips as she went with Sorod. "Come on, old fellow, let's protect with all our might," she mumbled as she glanced at the towering golem for a moment before facing the storm head on.
TL;DR -Followed the group along the path towards the mountains, helped make food at camp. Refuses to head into the city for his own reasonings and goes to face the storm head-on.
As the entire group had come to the decision to head along the path of going towards the mountains as well as Jeremiah also coming to the conclusion that he preferred to head with the rest of the group since he wished to be apart of the rest of the Apostles; Zayne only gave a half smile before following after the rest after the group.
The entire time the group walked, Zayne would come to halt from time to time to examine herbs and other plants that grew on the surrounding path just to see if he should pick any of them; of course he had taken a few here and there as he stuffed them into the satchel he carried over his shoulder. Aside from that, most of the trip Zayne had kept to himself only to speak up with any of those who had actually decided to speak with him yet at no point did he ever actually introduce himself to anyone fully.
Once nightfall fell upon them and everyone believed it was best to setup camp for the evening, he made sure to assist in preparing meals for those who had actually been able to cook aside from himself; Zayne although helped with the food did not actually eat himself as he preferred to stay at as slight distance from the campfire just to enjoy the night breeze of most of the evening until dawn.
___
Once morning came and the group once again continued to venture forward, he wasted no time to gather his belongings and head out with the rest as well. Yet again, the trip nearly took the entire day until they had finally reached a rather familiar location; the town of Taruhm. This was not exactly where he was expecting to end up suddenly especially since the place did not exactly bring back pleasant memories. "Um, I may stay outside of the town guys...I think I'd like to explore--" Cutting himself off as the sight of people leaving the town in quite the hurry by both foot and boat, that was a strange sight.
It wasn't until Zayne brought his gaze towards the sky did he finally notice the forming of dark clouds in the sky, there was a storm brewing and yet people believed that it was best they left the town rather than stay and be protected by it's walls. Whatever the reason, it was only a matter of time that creatures were beginning to manifest out of thin air as well as deforming ordinary creatures into things of nightmares.
Clearly each of the Apostles saw the incoming danger though it seemed as though this was yet again another decision that the group was not fully agreeing with one another upon as some were prepared to battle against the storm while others were believing it was best to head to the city. Scratching the back of his head from underneath his hood, Zayne eventually came to his own decision to grip a hold of the hilt of his blade that was sheathed upon his hip just to begin heading directly in the direction of the storm to face it head-on. The idea of heading into the city and being recognized by the locals most likely was not going to help the current situation.
Those at the Gate
As Ren and Althea neared the gate, the flow of people was started to ebb and give way to those hoping to find sanctuary within the fortress town. For the moment, the heavy portcullis and thick doors remained open, but the guards on duty were already frantically rushing around making preparations for their hasty closure when given the command. The walls of the Taruhm were smooth eight stories high or more constructions of stone and other reinforcement. It would not be easily assailed. Dotting the walls were a myriad of arrow slits with more men and mounted weapons on the few battlements. Althea and Ren would be able to enter if they chose. The doors would be closing soon.
Within the walls of the town, one could see cramped streets and stacked buildings with several levels making up the town's interior. It was like several towns layered on top of each other like a cake. Additionally, the town had expanded into the mountainside in a way not visible from beyond the walls. People hurried about rushing to home or shelter while stall and store keeper quickly worked to close up.
Those Facing the Storm
Upriver to the north of Taruhm, the Chaos Storm's core hung in air as the severe weather strengthened and gathered around it. On the ground like a shadow, a horde rose up and started to move. Numbering in the hundreds, small soldiers, coming up to a man's waist, marched. Equipped for battle and with beady, red eyes, maniacal rat men surged over the land. The white walls of Taruhm were slowly being enveloped by a mass of rat men working with minimal intelligence to overcome the obstacle before them. Their efforts seemed wasted, but in several areas, standing several feet over the other rat men and most humans, were large rat men that barked orders in their incoherent rat gibberish. The siege started gaining some ground as a result.
The Apostles standing to face the storm on the other side of the small river did not have to wait long as the horde rushed to meet them as well. Faster than normal men, the rat men were quick, agile fighters that preferred to overwhelm their targets with sheer numbers that had a habit of overwhelming normal defenses. With teeth that could gnaw through anything given time, and claws that would rend man's flesh, their light weapons and minimalist armors only made them more of a nuisance. From the rear, large rat men oversaw the storm's efforts and would work to ensure the Apostles' quest ended here.
(repeat: All Apostles with the exception of Althea and Ren have small groups of attackers coming for them. Those who do nothing will be pounced upon with potentially deadly consequences.)
TLDR: Althea climbs the walls in search of the guard captain
Althea heard the storm worsen as she ran towards the gates, but didn't stop to look back. As people ran for shelter, guards lined the upper walls and worked to fortify their defenses.
"If I want to help, I'll need to find the captain of the guard. He'll know what to do, and where I need to be in an emergency..."
Climbing up the wall wasn't easy, as many of the guards were either in position at their arrow slits or scrambling over each other to go somewhere else. Once at the top of the wall, Althea could see the situation below and what her other comrades were up against.
"Gods wounds..."
Althea had never seen an army this size, or any army for that matter, but it was breathtaking nonetheless. The main force wasn't that much taller than her, but there were so many of them that they made a swarming mass from 8 stories up. Slapping her cheeks, Althea continued her search for the captain, either by asking around or looking for the toughest guard around.
TL;DR: Knell fights the rat men using her power over death. Also helping Sorod when she can.
The minute the Chaos creatures showed themselves, Knell couldn't help but tense. And pale considerably when she saw the horde after them. "...Ergh, that's...quite a number," she muttered under her breath as her magic crackled around her hands. With an oncoming screech, the wave of rats hit her and Sorod and she let loose a flurry of curses in their wake. Already couple of rats started to double over and retch as the poison took hold. "Good, stay down," she hissed as she grabbed a rat's arm, grunting as she was hit by the sword it bore on her arm, and promptly siphoned the life out of it. It screeched in agony as it writhed while the life force was drained, the screech becoming a gurgle as she took a dagger from her pocket and sliced at its throat. She pushed it to the side and immediately used the energy she withdrew to send a couple more hexes at another set of rat men as she heard the screeching of off to the side.
With a huff, she scurried back to Sorod's side to check the status of his form. "You holding up?" she asked as she sheathed her dagger and took up her crossbow. Immediately putting a curse in the form of a bolt on her crossbow, she shot it straight towards another rat man, hearing it scream in agony. She could only grimace as she used more of such bolt curses on the surrounding area, trying to ease Sorod's burden, if only a little. God, there was so many...
TLDR: Jeremiah wants to head inside to get supplies and then leave but it's too late so he has to fight.
At first, he had wanted to go into town, possibly to buy some provisions before the coming storm. Unfortunately, the speed of the storm had stopped him from going in- as he was not as quick as Ren or Althea.
Dammit, his moment of indecision had lead him to waste time, resulting in the storm being here already. Jeremiah stands at the river's edge, positioning himself next to the water and Zayne. He takes a deep breath to fill his lungs with air in case he needs his song. His arms and hands move fluidly, and under his command of Chaos the waters respond, moving and lifting big splotches of water that were ready to be used as Jeremiah willed it. When any of the rat creatures come close to him or Zayne he would react- using the water all around him to slice through the bodies of the rat men and leaving their crumpled forms around him. He had to use his magic, as there were too many enemies to just continually knife them all. Occasionally he would do a quick check to make sure Zayne was ok before continuing to fight with his sword- thin line of water.
TLDR:
-Giles slept in and is behind the group. Uses Sorod's footsteps to find them.
-Giles gets lost again
-Giles finds the river and is heading towards the group standing against the storm right now.
Giles was trailing behind the group, the cowboy had awoken from his slumber late and lost track of the party's whereabouts. He wasn't completely lost however, he was tracking the party through the use the of their footsteps. Though everyone seemed quite fleet-footed, a certain Golem made a perfect path right to them. Colossal footsteps and complete devastation of anything on the ground assured Giles that Sorod was nearby, and if that fortress nearby, so was the party
~~~~~

Giles was becoming increasingly frustrated, the tracks were becoming harder to identify, there was peculiar storm brewing that exerted a fetid stench, and he was almost out of water. As of now the cowboy put his worries aside, he'll continue to look for his party members as soon as he can fill his canteen with some fresh water. Luckily, Giles had spotted a small river ahead of him and was already on his way to it, once he made it to it's banks he kneeled before it and hurriedly threw some water in his face.

He was about to drink before a certain smell wafted into his nose, the same smell he had associated with the storm. With a disgusted groan, he reared back up onto his feet and scanned the area. He thought something died along the riverbank, but that would not explain the constant stench of death drifting amongst both the river and the mountain, but as soon as his eyes met with the city of Taruhm, now he knew where that smell was coming from.

He could see small beasts scurrying around the city, all desperately trying to scale the wall. He couldn't get an accurate description of what they were but judging from their long, pink, and hairless tails, they were rats. Not just some ordinary rats, but something much more sinister.

Giles saw them diverge into two groups, some of them were only focused on Taruhm whilst others were scurrying to the riverbank east of him, as if trying to defend something. Giles set his eyes on this location and began to run to it, maybe he could find some of his teammates there.

TL;DR: LEEEEEEROY JENKINS

A grin crossed Tomoe's face at the sight of the ratmen. This was what she was made for. The fury of battle.

But she was no fool, nor berserk. Her blood burned for the fight, but her mind was cold and canny. She watched for long moments, listened to the clash of weapons, smelled the blood and piss and shit.

There was a flow to every battle. And she who could ride that flow found victory.

She drew her long sword, its graceful curve shimmering in the flickering light of the storm. Its shorter companion flashed as it left its sheathe as well. Tomoe's eyes glowed crimson. She took a step, then another, then another. With each stride pale fire dripped from her swords, writhed up her arms.

She plunged into the mass of rat men, carving a fiery trail as she began to fight her way to their leader. There were too many to take on by herself, but she was no fool, nor berserk. The slaughter would distract the commanders of the rat men, force them to respond, and create openings for the other Apostles to exploit.

TL;DR - Goes off to fight against the creatures.

Even with the incoming threat approaching closer by the passing second, Zayne followed after the large golem along with whoever was heading in the direction of the storm to face it. As he drew closer towards the enemies and the Chaos storm at once, the slight change in atmosphere as well as finally being able to see the threat up close had caused him to quickly reach his free hand up to cover the left side of his face. The sensation of being this close to so much battle and the obvious thirst for blood that these creatures carved had caused the sclera part of his eyes to shift into a pitch black color while his once light blue colored eye began to darken at once.

Quickly shaking his head to try and keep his calm, Zayne wasted no time to draw his own sword with his right hand. Lowering his left hand from his face even if his eye still showed clear signs of change; he charged straight into battle right after removing his cloak.
Although the rat men clearly had numbers on their side, the overall threat of them weren't too bad as long as he didn't allow himself to be overwhelmed too quickly. Cutting down each of his foes that attempted to attack him, many were either cut by his blade if not struck down with his own immense strength from his fists.
From time to time, he would be caught off guard by a sudden surge of pain that was similar to that of someone jabbing him in his brain with a dagger, during those times he would be struck by either a claw or weapon slashing at him causing his own attire to be torn at the spot and causing a wound underneath. 'Come on...Focus..!' Mentally scolding himself for being unable to control his urge to begin killing without the care for whoever or whatever was around him.

TL;DR: diana chucked a tree and says hi to the cowboy

Diana's breath caught in her throat for a moment as she stared upon the horrifying masses of rat monsters charging towards them. She involuntarily took a step backward, fear blinding her ability to think straight. It took her several seconds to remember that she and her comrades the power inside of them to take on triple this army, and that the things she was about to kill weren't humans with any sort of emotion. She took another deep breath before lifting up her skirts and jogging forward to face the army head-on.

The girl felt rage slowly build up in her with every jagged breath she felt. It was a rare emotion that only existed when she was battling, but when it came out, it was extreme. She let the fury inside of her channel through her being to fuel her power. Then, she used that very anger to force the chaos inside of her to burst away like arrows from her core and claw into the green earth like an anchor into the sand. The invisible magic clutched onto a flat bush to her right. Diana's eyes narrowed into slits as she concentrated on the small, half-dead bundle of sticks on the ground and watched it rapidly bloom into a great, long structure with a height greater than a house of three stories and a width about a yard wide. Her eyes squeezed shut as she tore it from the ground, uprooting the branches that she hadn't let grow into the hard earth. It hovered several inches from the ground for several seconds as the brunette rotated it so that it lay on its side. Then, she shoved every ounce of adrenaline-made power into blasting it forth at the barrage of incoming rat monsters.

The adrenaline rush suddenly receded and she very quickly felt sick. Beads of perspiration trickled down her forehead and over her closed eyes. When she finally opened them, she noticed that the grass beside her had grown to about her height and the little dandelion holding up her hair was now the size of her fist pressing against the side of her head.

The corner of her eye caught sight of a familiar cowboy running down to the battlefield. He was the closes ally to her, and she desperately needed an ally at the moment. It would take her several minutes to channel enough energy to yeet another bush. And Diana was not at all capable of fighting off ten rat soldiers with a stick all by her lonesome.

She raised her hand upwards, hoping it would catch his attention.

TooLongDidn'tRead: Sorod doing them a good one, kebabbing them and consuming them. He then uses Wall's Suppression to disrupt the flow of the battlefield, in their party's favor of course, and he continues walking forward, challenging one of the large rat folk as he does.

"So-Easily-Rod.", he replied to Knell.

Watching the carnage beside him unfold, Sorod the Guardian positioned his shield in front of him. This is what he enjoyed, aside from exploring this brand new world that opened up to him, the only other comfort he can seek is battle. A battle of this size will easily satisfy the unspeakable hunger within him, although he probably won't be satisfied by the "souls" of these vermin, they'll at least stave off some of it. Within the depths of his eyeless head, a small flicker of light flashed momentarily, with it, his other hand finally moved. The wind howled, in his right hand, the spear Longinus pierced through every foe that dared to face him.

Others may bear their spears with the passion of flourish or style, but his is nothing like that. In his hand, the spear becomes what it is truly intended to be; a killing weapon. Many may say that the sword is the king of weapons, but they do not know that far above it, the Emperor of Weapons is the Spear. Domineering, relentless, and deadly, it is the instrument of conquest.

"SO-DIE-ROD!"

In his hands, Longinus severed and penetrated dozens of rats in mere moments, its reach only helped him with this slaughter. Those who were fortunate enough to not get hit, got grinded down by his shield, pressed against the dirt floor by the thick towering sheet of metal. Whenever the creatures went round to go towards his backside, he merely took some steps back and crushed them underfoot. Though he made sure to dodge away from Knell, lest she die accidentally. Whatever weapon they possessed, be it teeth or claw, none could scratch his iron frame. What minute scars they left before dying simply glossed over, the driving force within him restoring the insignificant marks they made.

Though, it seems he isn't the only One Man Army here. Given a brief moment of respite, he scanned the battlefield and observed the others fight. Valiant, dashing, and most importantly, efficient. Just like he, their blows are meant to kill, and all hits given are answered by blood and death. Inside him, a rumbling laughter erupted brightly. This is fun. With few rats still stuck and twitching at Longinus' tip, he moved them closer to the hole in his chest, and scraped them into it. Crackling and moaning followed right after, which means it worked.

The display Diana gave impressed him, he didn't expect such power from someone so petite. The same could be said for Tomoe and Zayne as well, they in particular struck a mighty performance of death. Knell and Jeremiah also did stuff, but the others just seem so much more flashier! Not wanting to "look boring", Sorod trembled all of a sudden, the fire in his chest roared. Archaic runes of gold and crimson started to crawl out in lines from the hole, moving along his torso, then his limbs, before splitting to the tips of his fingers. Flashing an ominous sanguine red, blood-red fire expelled from the openings all along his body.

"SO-WALL'S SUPPRESSION-ROD!!!"

Like an invisible mountain, the very air around him shook and creaked. A shockwave exploded out from him, expanding to cover a large plot of land around him, possibly covering even his allies. But, he didn't worry for them, for their hearts are strong enough to face something this "weak". He believes it is, and he believes his companions are strong, because they are Apostles. But, these rats are not Apostles. They are weak. They are his enemy. They must die.

Pressure exuded from him, sending those immediately close to him into a kneel or proned position. With no hesitation, he splattered them onto the floor with his iron feet, feeding the ground with their blood. He didn't stop there though. With him still expelling the invisible pressure, which he hoped is helping his companions deal with the vermin even more efficiently, he started moving forward. The ground cracked with his steps, shuddering from his presence. The line of symbols flashing brightly, he raised Longinus and pointed it towards one of the larger rats, the ones apparently leading their lesser kin.

"So-Fight me-Rod."
